Trump Targeted in Apparent 2nd Assassination Attempt in Florida
|
|
The FBI said on Sept. 15 that former President Donald Trump was targeted in a suspected second assassination attempt in as many months after his campaign confirmed that shots were reported near his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida., where the former president was golfing.
“The FBI has responded to West Palm Beach Florida and is investigating what appears to be an attempted assassination of former President Trump,” the FBI told The Epoch Times in a statement.
A representative from the U.S. Secret Service separately told a news conference on Sept. 15 that a Secret Service agent opened fire on a suspected gunman “located near the property line,” adding it’s under investigation. The Palm Beach sheriff said that officials recovered an AK-47-style rifle with a scope, two backpacks that had “ceramic tile” inside, and a GoPro camera.
A Secret Service agent who was about a hole ahead of Trump on the golf course “was able to spot this rifle barrel” and “immediately [engaged] that individual, at which time the individual took off,” Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said.
Photos shared by law enforcement on Sept. 15 showed what appeared to be two black bags hanging from a fence near the golf course. A firearm was seen between them and pointed through a gap in the fence, while the GoPro was hanging to the side. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Rep. Josh Brecheen says autopsy revealed a woman at J6 died of broken ribcage, not drug overdose

Representative Josh Brecheen (R-OK) says Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) hearing Monday on the treatment of January 6 prisoners exposed human rights violations against those incarcerated. He says the hearing also revealed how the autopsy of Rosanne Boyland, a protestor beaten by a DC Metro Police officer who later died, was kept from her family. "The family was given the narrative by the media that this was because of a drug overdose, and yet the autopsy was kept from the family by the District of Columbia's decision making. Yet, months after that reporting occurred, the autopsy comes out and says that the death of this woman was the result of a broken ribcage," Rep. Brecheen says. (Just the News) Read more here. |

Russia warns its response to Kyiv won’t 'be pretty' if Ukraine uses long-range strikes
|

Supporters of Ukraine have raised concerns that this action might just escalate tensions with Russia.
|

Top Russian officials warned that if Ukraine started launching long-range strikes with the support of the West, the response won't "be pretty."
“The decision has been made, the carte blanche and all indulgences have been given [to Kyiv], so we are ready for everything,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, according to a Russian state outlet.
“And we will react in a way that will not be pretty,” he continued.
Western leaders have had discussions this week about whether or not they would allow Kyiv to use weapons supplied by the West to hit targets deep inside Russia.
Some allies of Ukraine have raised concerns that such action would escalate the war with Russia, according to The Hill.
Russian President Vladimir Putin argued that it would change the conflict completely.

1. Netanyahu asserts Israel may act militarily against Hezbollah if diplomacy fails - Jerusalem Post
The IDF must be free to act to end attacks by the Iranian proxy group Hezbollah, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US special envoy Amos Hochstein, who visited Israel in hopes of securing a diplomatic resolution to the constrained war along the country’s northern border with Lebanon.
“Israel appreciates and respects the support of the United States but in the end will do what is necessary to maintain its security and return the residents of the North to their homes safely,” the Prime Minister’s Office said Monday as it paraphrased Netanyahu’s messages to Hochstein.
Netanyahu reiterated to Hochstein the same message he gave the government on Sunday.“It will not be possible to return our residents without a fundamental change in the security situation in the North,” Netanyahu said. (Read more)

2. Top general said pushing for ground incursion to create south Lebanon buffer zone - Times of Israel
Israel’s top general commanding the restive northern frontier has reportedly begun actively lobbying leaders to okay a ground offensive into southern Lebanon with the goal of securing a buffer zone and halting over 11 months of incessant attacks on towns and communities in the Galilee, amid disagreements over the matter among politicians and defense brass.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has come under increasing pressure from both voters and lawmakers in recent weeks to deal with the threat of Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists who have menaced northern Israel and turned areas near the border into a veritable war zone, with tens of thousands displaced from their homes due to continued and sometimes deadly drone and missile attacks.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is believed to oppose a major military operation in Lebanon at this time, according to reports in Hebrew language media, while Netanyahu has appeared at least outwardly in favor of an operation, with one report suggesting he had threatened to fire Gallant over the issue. The UN Security Council convened today (September 16) to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza with the participation of Sigrid Kaag, the UN’s Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza.
Ambassador Danon spoke at the debate and addressed the accusations against Israel regarding the killing of UNRWA aid workers last week in a school building in Gaza, and reiterated that these were not aid workers but terrorists. (Read more)

4. Netanyahu said preparing to fire Defense Minister Gallant, replace him with Sa’ar - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing to fire Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and is considering appointing New Hope chairman Gideon Sa’ar as his replacement, national broadcaster Kan reported on Monday, citing an official within the prime minister’s bureau.
If the post of defense minister does not pan out, Sa’ar may receive the foreign minister role while Israel Katz takes over for Gallant, Channel 12 reported. It also claimed that New Hope MKs Ze’ev Elkin and Sharren Haskel may be offered ministerial portfolios.
The Prime Minister’s Office denied negotiations with Sa’ar, and a spokesman for Sa’ar claimed there was “nothing new” on the issue. (Read more)

5. Jewish shepherd assaulted near Jericho - JNS
A Jewish Israeli man sustained facial injuries on Monday in an assault near the town of Mevo’ot Yericho in the southern Jordan Valley.
Multiple men assaulted the man, a shepherd, in the Mu’arrajat area about 15 miles northeast of Jerusalem, lightly wounding him.
Israeli troops arrested at least two men in Mu’arrajat in connection with the incident, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said. Jewish men showed the troops where the assailants hid, leading to a search of the premises. (Read more)

New York City's City Council voted this week to pass reparations legislation that requires the city's already extant Commission on Racial Equity "to establish a Truth, Healing, and Reconciliation process in connection with the City’s historic involvement in slavery and its present-day legacies." 3. Ohio governor sending state troopers to Springfield schools amid threats - The Hill
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) announced on Monday he has authorized a contingent of state troopers to be stationed at each school building in Springfield, Ohio, following a series of “unfounded” bomb threats.
The city has seen at least 33 bomb threats, all of which have been hoaxes, DeWine said on Monday. Yet the threats have forced several schools, the city hall and the state motor vehicle office to evacuate as the threats were investigated. (Read more)

The person arrested, Asif Merchant, is being charged for allegedly attempting to commit an act of terrorism and for his alleged role in a murder-for-hire plot
The Justice Department has announced an indictment against a Pakistani national with ties to Iran in connection with an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate a U.S. politician or government official.
The department has identified the person as Asif Merchant, also known as Asif Raza Merchant, and said he is now in federal custody.
He was indicted Tuesday with attempting to commit an act of terrorism transcending national boundaries and murder-for-hire as part of a scheme to assassinate a U.S. politician or government official on American soil, the department said Wednesday. (Read more)

5. Pennsylvania Supreme Court Rules to Disqualify Undated, Misdated Mail-In Ballots - The Epoch Times
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued a decision on Sept. 13 that upholds a requirement in the key battleground state that voters must include accurate dates on the exterior envelopes of their mail-in ballots for the votes to be counted.
The 4–3 ruling vacates a previous Commonwealth Court decision that had halted enforcement of the legal requirement under Pennsylvania law that disqualified mail-in ballots if they were undated or featured incorrect dates. The Commonwealth Court found that the date requirement was unconstitutional when enforced against voters who submit their ballots by deadline. (Read more)

6. Sen. Graham predicts 9/11-style attack on US if Biden-Harris policy continues: 'Living on borrowed time' - Fox News
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., painted a grim picture of the world stage and predicted a 9/11-style attack on the U.S. if President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris continue to control U.S. policy.
Graham made the statement during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday" with host Shannon Bream. He pointed to Iran's escalating belligerence in the Middle East as well as the administration's failure to navigate an end to the war in Ukraine.
"I've never been more worried about a nuclear breakout by Iran than I am right now. I've never been more worried about another 9/11 against America than I am right now," Graham said.

The Spirit of Amalek

The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6 that we have to be vigilant to put on the whole armor of God to stand against the wiles of the devil. Verse 12 explains, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” For followers of Christ, Paul is saying that it is a hostile world out there—both physically and spiritually—so we need to be prepared to stand. Quite frankly, there are evil people and spirits that constantly test us in everyday living. Just like our parents taught us to look both ways before crossing the street, we need to be aware and prepared to deal with evil like the spirit of Amalek.
The Israelites had left Egypt and were in the wilderness when the story of Amalek begins in Exodus 17 where he attacks the Israelites. This is the battle where when Moses’ hands were lifted up, the Israelites prevailed and when his hands were lowered, Amalek prevailed. So Aaron and Hur held up Moses hands until Amalek was defeated. We don’t learn until Deuteronomy 25 the evil Amalek did. With no reason, Amalek attacked the Israelites’ rear ranks, “all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God.” These were the defenseless elderly, women, and children that Amalek slaughtered because he did not fear God. The Apache tribe in Arizona is taking a fight with the federal government and copper producers to the Supreme Court, which they hope will protect what they say is their religious rights to sacred ground.
Apache Stronghold, a nonprofit group representing the tribe's interests, is fighting to preserve Oak Flat — what the Apaches say is their "direct corridor to the Creator and the locus of sacred ceremonies that cannot take place elsewhere."
According to the petition filed at the high court, the government "has long protected Apache rituals there."
"But because copper was discovered beneath Oak Flat, the government decided to transfer the site to Respondent Resolution Copper for a mine that will undisputedly destroy Oak Flat — swallowing it in a massive crater and ending sacred Apache rituals forever." (Fox News) Read more

The far-left confession that Kamala Harris may not be able to escape, even after debate

A 2019 ACLU candidate questionnaire locked the Democrat nominee into positions to the far left from mainstream America.
Candidate questionnaires have long been a part of American politics, locking in politicians to certain policies, pledges and positions. But it has been decades since one has threatened to roil a presidential race, or undercut a major party nominee’s carefully crafted image.
The last time was in 1992 when President George H.W. Bush was stung by his decision to renege on the no-new-taxes pledge he signed as he tried to fashion himself as a Reagan conservative. Bush had earlier staked out that position at the 1988 Republican National Convention with his famous "read my lips" speech.
But Kamala Harris is facing the real possibility that the candidate questionnaire she filled out for the American Civil Liberties Union in 2019 may undercut her efforts to rebrand herself as a moderate and distance herself from the insecurity, immigration crisis, and inflation unleashed by her boss Joe Biden’s liberal agenda the last four years.
The reasons for the threat are simple. Five years ago Harris tried desperately to run to the left of Joe Biden during the 2020 Democratic primary, planting her flag on positions far from the American mainstream, particularly on immigration, law and order and social policy. She also suggested her earlier actions as California attorney general and a U.S. senator were proof of her commitment to far-left policies.
Writing to woo the ACLU, she committed to:
- Taxpayer funding of gender reassignment surgeries and treatments for illegal aliens;
- A pathway to citizenship for those who broke the law by crossing the U.S. border without permission;
- The decriminalization of all illegal drugs under federal law including cocaine, heroin and fentanyl if a defendant claimed they were for personal use; and
- The knee-capping of the nation’s main deportation agency, Immigration and Customs Enforcement or ICE, as it is colloquially known in Washington circles, by banning its use of deportation. (Just the News) Read more here.

What time is it on the moon? NASA's trying
to figure that out

Among the reasons a uniform lunar time zone is needed is because the moon's weaker gravity makes time appear to pass more quickly there than on Earth.
Sept. 12 (UPI) -- NASA said Thursday its Space Communication and Navigation program is taking the lead on an effort to establish a Coordinated Lunar Time standard as humans prepare to return to the moon.
The program, also known as SCaN, will coordinate with various stakeholders on a timekeeping effort to "enable a future lunar ecosystem" that could also be extended to Mars and other locations in solar system, NASA officials said in a blog post.
The need for a coordinated time standard on the moon and elsewhere in space will become increasing important as NASA's Artemis campaign prepares to establish a sustained presence on and around Earth's satellite and as the commercial space industry grows.
With more nations are active at the moon, there is a greater need for time standardization, said Ben Ashman of the SCaN program.
"A shared definition of time is an important part of safe, resilient, and sustainable operations," he said.
The effort is coming after the Biden administration in April issued a directive for the establishment of a Coordinated Lunar Time standard, under which NASA was tasked with providing a finalized strategy to the White House for implementation no later than Dec. 31, 2026. Read More
