Key Swing State Supreme Court Rules Mail-in Ballots With Flawed Dates Can be Tossed
|
|
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued a ruling Friday that will allow mail-in ballots without accurate dates on their return envelopes to be thrown out.
In late August, a Pennsylvania state court halted the enforcement of requiring voters to include accurate, handwritten dates on submitted mail-in ballots, according to CBS News. However, the state’s Supreme Court, in a 4-3 vote, has now reinstated the requirement as two Democrats on the high court joined both Republicans to vacate the Commonwealth Court decision, according to the court documents.
Within the court filing, Justices Kevin Dougherty, Sallie Updyke Mundy, Kevin Brobson and Daniel McCaffery stated the decision was made after the Commonwealth Court failed to “name the county boards of elections of all 67 counties,” calling out Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt for not meeting the requirements “to invoke the Commonwealth Court’s original jurisdiction.” (Daily Caller) Read more

RFK Jr Urges Biden Not to Approve Long-range Missiles for Ukraine: "Reckless Escalation"
|

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. slammed President Biden's administration for continuing to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles on Saturday, arguing it was a major escalation of the conflict.
Kennedy called out both Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a statement on X, formerly Twitter. He made the comment in relation to reporting that the U.S. is set to approve Ukraine using long-range missiles to strike inside Russia.
"Secretary Blinken, President Biden — STOP IT! Stop this reckless escalation. I say this not as a political partisan, but simply as a citizen of the world," Kennedy wrote.

Court Blocks Biden-Harris Methane Emissions Rule in Five States
|
|
A federal judge temporarily halted the enforcement of a Biden-Harris administration rule in five states on Thursday designed to reduce methane emissions and minimize natural gas waste on federal lands.
U.S. District Court Judge Daniel Traynor issued a preliminary injunction that temporarily blocks the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from enforcing a new rule that was implemented in April in North Dakota, Montana, Texas, Wyoming and Utah, according to The Hill. These states argued that the federal rule, which mandates oil and gas companies to implement waste reduction plans and leak detection programs on public lands, constitutes an overreach of federal authority, infringing upon state rights.
The contested rule requires operators to curtail the venting, flaring and leaking of natural gas during oil extraction processes, the outlet reported. US Locks China Tariff Hikes on EVs, Chips, Steel
|
|
|
Sharp tariff hikes on imports from China, including a 100 percent duty on electric vehicles (EVs), will take effect on Sept. 27, the Biden administration confirmed on Friday.
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) confirmed most of the increased rates that the White House had announced in May, with some adjustments to the list.
From Sept. 27, the tariff on EVs imported from China will quadruple from 25 percent to 100 percent.
The USTR also confirmed a 100 percent tariff on needles and syringes, 50 percent tariffs on semiconductors, solar cells, facemasks, and surgical gloves, and 25 percent tariffs on EV and other batteries, battery parts, critical minerals, steel and aluminum products, and ship-to-shore cranes.
Some of the increases will take effect on Sept. 27, while others will take effect on Jan. 1 of the next two years. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

1. Netanyahu: Israel to exact heavy price from Houthis for attack - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahupledged to exact a heavy price from the Houthis for its missile attack against central Israel on Sunday. “This morning, the Houthis launched a surface-to-surface missile from Yemen into our territory,” Netanyahu told his government during its weekly meeting.
“They should have known by now that we exact a heavy price for any attempt to harm us,” he stated. “Those who need a reminder in this matter are invited to visit the port of Hodeidah,” Netanyahu said in a reference to an Israeli reprisal attack in July. (Read more)

2. Houthis say 'new hypersonic ballistic missile' launched at Israel, vows more attacks - Jerusalem Post
Yemen's Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack that reached central Israel for the first time on Sunday, saying the group employed a "new hypersonic ballistic missile" in a "specific military operation" targeting the Tel Aviv area, in a statement from the group's military spokesperson.
The Iranian proxy falsely added that Israel had failed to intercept the missile. While the IDF's Arrow system failed to bring the missile down before entering Israeli airspace, it did ultimately intercept it.
"It crossed a distance of 2,040 km in 11 and a half minutes and caused a state of fear and panic among the Zionists, as more than two million Zionists headed to shelters for the first time in the history of the Israeli enemy," the military spokesperson added. (Read more)

3. Houthi missile explodes over central Israel - JNS
Israeli air defenses on Sunday morning intercepted fragments of a surface-to-surface missile launched from Yemen that exploded over central Israel.
The attack triggered sirens in central Israel and the Tel Aviv area at around 6:30 a.m.
According to the Magen David Adom emergency service, five individuals suffered light injuries while running for shelters. They were treated on the scene before being referred to hospitals, according to MDA. (Read more)

4. IDF Finds Terror Tunnel Next to Hospital in Samaria - Algemeiner
Israeli forces discovered a tunnel during a counterterror operation in the Tulkarem camp in the West Bank, the IDF said on Friday.
According to the Israeli military, the underground complex was located adjacent to a hospital in the camp, situated north of the city of the same name, and contained an entrance but no exit, as it was still under construction.
“The forces are continuing to investigate the complex and will dismantle it,” the IDF added.
While Hamas built a vast terror tunnel network in the Gaza Strip over many years that the Israeli army has been working to dismantle since war started on Oct. 7, these types of tunnels are rare in the West Bank, where the IDF regularly operates to locate and destroy terrorist infrastructure. 5. Israeli Security Cabinet expected to define return of northern residents as war goal - All Israel News
The Israeli government’s main goals for the ongoing Gaza War have been the return of the remaining Israeli hostages and defeating the Hamas terrorist organization as a military and political power. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to add "returning residents to the north" as an additional war goal. Netanyahu is expected to put the new motion to a vote on Sunday. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has also pushed for a solution to address the threat from the Hezbollah forces in Lebanon.
On Oct. 8, the day after Hamas terrorists invaded southern Israel and massacred 1,200 Israelis, the Hezbollah terrorist organization began launching attacks on northern Israel with rockets and drones. Some 60,000 residents in northern Israel have been evacuated from their homes and are living in hotels and other temporary accommodations. Fearing an invasion from the north by Hezbollah terrorists, residents from the north have demanded the Israeli government eliminate the threat.
Israel’s initial focus in the war has been on neutralizing the Hamas terror threat in the south. However, the degradation of Hamas’ military capabilities has enabled Israeli political and military leaders to shift focus toward the northern front.(Read more)

2. Robots for Kamala: Study Reveals Leftist Political Bias in 24 Popular AI Chatbots- Breitbart
A recent academic study has uncovered evidence that AI chatbots powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) have an inherent leftist political bias, potentially influencing the information and advice they provide to users.
ScienceAlert reports that in an increasingly digital world, AI chatbots are becoming a go-to source for information and guidance especially for young people. However, a new study conducted by David Rozado, a computer scientist from Otago Polytechnic in New Zealand, has revealed that these AI engines may have a political bias that could unknowingly sway society’s values and attitudes.
The study, published in academic journal PLOS ONE, involved testing 24 different LLMs, including popular chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini, using 11 standard political questionnaires such as The Political Compass test. The results showed that the average political stance across all the models was not neutral but rather left-leaning.
This will not surprise those who have closely followed AI. For example, Google Gemini ran amok when it was launched, rewriting history into a woke mess of leftist fantasy.
While the average bias was not strong, it was still significant. Further experiments on custom bots, where users can fine-tune the LLMs’ training data, demonstrated that these AIs could be influenced to express political leanings using left-of-center or right-of-center texts. Read more

During the interview, anchor Brian Taff questioned Harris on her strategies to enhance affordability for Americans, but her response diverged into a recollection of her middle-class roots without offering specific policy details. Harris proceeded to recount her childhood, emphasizing the hard work of her mother and the aspirations of her community, focusing particularly on the symbolic importance of well-kept lawns.
“I’ll start with this. I grew up a middle-class kid. My mother raised my sister and me. She worked very hard, she was able to finally save up enough money to buy our first house when I was a teenager. 4. Harris organizer objects to subpoena from Republican House Judiciary Committee Chair Jordan – The Hill
A Democratic strategist who helped organize a “White Dudes for Harris” call said he is fighting back against a subpoena from Republican House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Friday.
“I am objecting to the subpoena issued by Jim Jordan and the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee in its entirety. This subpoena serves no legitimate legislative purpose—making it invalid, unconstitutional, and unenforceable,” Authentic Campaigns CEO Mike Nellis said in a post on X late Friday.
The House Judiciary Committee previously subpoenaed Authentic Campaigns, a company the daughter of the New York judge overseeing former President Trump’s hush money trial has worked for. In a letter late last month, Jordan requested that Nellis sit for a deposition alongside the company, as well as sign a sworn affidavit that Authentic Campaigns never had contact with Judge Juan Merchan.
Nellis also posted the letter from his legal team to Jordan, encouraging his followers to read it.
The letter states “Authentic’s work is in no way connected to former President Trump’s legal proceedings in New York,” and that the company “has had no role, involvement, or influence whatsoever in those proceedings. Read more

6. Nebraska Supreme Court Allows Radical Unlimited Abortion Amendment To Make November Ballot – The Federalist
A radical amendment that threatens to ram unpopular abortion until birth into the Cornhusker State constitution will make the ballot in November despite its deceptive nature, the Nebraska Supreme Court unanimously ruled on Friday.
Abortion in Nebraska is prohibited beyond 12 weeks gestation. The “Protect the Right to Abortion” ballot initiative, funded by Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union, however, seeks to enshrine abortion at any point in pregnancy in the state’s constitution.
The proposed amendment leaves vague, undefined terms like “viability” up to the subjective judgment of a health care practitioner, not necessarily a doctor. As the Thomas More Society lawyers who argued the case noted, the measure could “effectively … abolish nearly 50 years of legislative enactments,” like the state’s dismemberment ban and parental consent requirement, and prevent state legislators from enacting pro-life protections in the future.
A majority of Nebraskans, 72 percent, say they oppose legalizing abortion through birth. The lawsuit heard by the high bench, however, alleged that the ballot measure’s language could mislead voters with strong feelings about unlimited abortion to vote against their convictions. Read more

Former President Donald Trump is safe after shots were fired while he was on the fifth hole at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, a campaign spokesman said. “President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity” at the Trump International Golf Club, said campaign spokesman Steven Cheung, adding that no further information would be released “at this time.”
In a statement on X, Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the United States Secret Service, said, “The Secret Service, in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a protective incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. The former president is safe."
Fox News opinion host Sean Hannity, a friend of the former president who had been invited to that golf game but did not attend, said at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday that the gun involved had been recovered and identified as an AK-47. Hannity added that the fifth hole, according to Eric Trump, is less than 200 yards away from the nearest street.
CNN reported that a black vehicle involved has been found and a suspect is in custody. The former president’s golf game was not listed on his public schedule, according to reports.
Updated on Sept. 15 at 4 p.m. ET: The Secret Service says agents protecting former President Donald Trump were the ones who fired the shots at the gunman at Trump International Golf Club. “Nova Audio Earrings. She was Being coached, Now we know,” text in the image states.
But the claim in the Facebook post is baseless. There is no credible evidence to indicate Harris’ jewelry during the debate contained audio transmitters that could have allowed her to be “coached," as the post claims. And the founder and CEO of the German company that produces them said the earrings worn by the VP were not made by his firm.

Partial Lunar Eclipse About to Fall on Harvest Supermoon in September—Here’s What to Know

It will look like Godzilla took a nibble out of the Harvest Moon.
The Harvest Moon rises on Sept. 17. It will continue to look full and round for some days afterward and, on Sept. 18, will grow into a big fall supermoon. But just hours before becoming a supermoon, the shadow of planet Earth will enter the scene, cast itself upon the moon, and dim its ochre glow.
This is a lunar eclipse.
Astronomers point out that full moons always happen at night—it’s simply a law of physics. The moon must be directly opposite the sun with respect to the Earth to appear full. The condition is even stricter with lunar eclipses because only when the moon is exactly opposite the sun will it pass through our planet’s acute conical shadow. There, all sunlight is completely obliterated.
Lunar eclipses are not extremely common; there are only two in 2024.
On Sept. 18, the year’s second and final lunar eclipse will occur. It will be a partial lunar eclipse that will join the spectacles of the Harvest Moon and upcoming supermoon, the latter falling just nine hours after the eclipse. Read More

45th President Sends Beautiful and Touching Birthday Letter to Young Boy With Rare Brain Disorder, Bringing Him to Tears (VIDEO)

The legacy media for years has smeared President Trump with lies while calling him a monster, racist, sexist, and all sorts of horrible names. But the truth is the man has a true heart of gold. New York Young Republicans Club advisor Kevin Smith posted a video on X Thursday of an 8-year-old New York Trump fan named Liam, who received a beautiful and heartwarming birthday letter from his favorite President. According to Smith, Liam suffers from a rare brain disorder and growth hormone deficiency. Liam’s family shared the video with Smith. He noted that Trump did not ask for or seek credit for this, a true sign of the 45th President’s character.
In the video, Liam carefully opens the envelope containing the letter and silently reads it. When his mom asks if he wants to read it out loud, he grows emotional and hands the letter to her. She reads the letter out loud to Liam, and he starts sobbing. When she asked who had signed it, he correctly answered Donald Trump. Liam then tells President Trump he loves him and says, “Thank you.”
