Harris responds to Biden 'garbage' remark
for first time
|
|
Top Democrats have been hush after the president called 74 million voters 'garbage'
|
|
President Biden’s "garbage" comment while talking about Trump supporters has the U.S. political world talking out loud, and Vice President Kamala Harris responded to the controversy for the first time on Wednesday.
Biden made his remark during a Zoom call on Tuesday with Voto Latino, one of the largest Latino voter and civic outreach organizations in the U.S. Harris, speaking to reporters before boarding Air Force Two, noted that Biden had "clarified his comments."
"I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for," Harris said. "You heard my speech last night and continuously throughout my career. I believe that the work that I do is about representing all the people, whether they support me or not."
Harris added that Biden had called her Tuesday night after the event, but she said they did not discuss his "garbage" comment. (Fox News) Read more here.

Trump calls for supporters to 'forgive' Biden in show of unity after president calls supporters 'garbage'
|
|
President Biden has received backlash after comparing Trump supporters to garbage
President Trump called on a crowd of supporters to "forgive" President Biden after he compared the former president's supporters to garbage.
"Wow. That's terrible," Trump said, invoking Hillary Clinton’s infamous "deplorable" remarks in the weeks before the 2016 election. "And then she said irredeemable. That didn't work out."
The Republican nominee called on his supporters to forgive him during a packed rally at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
"Garbage, I think, is worse," he said. "But he doesn't know. You have to please forgive him." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, we give You thanks that President Trump asked his followers in Allentown, PA to forgive President Biden for calling all Trump supporters garbage. Father God, we ask that Your son, Donald, continue to have a heart of forgiveness as we move through the final weeks of this election cycle. We ask Holy Spirit to speak to him, help him remember that a heart that forgives is a heart that is forgiven by his Father in heaven, let that truth sink deep into his spirit. Jesus, we ask You to remind Your son that his words have power, power to bless or power to curse, let Your church live out the example of blessing as we move past this election into the new year. Give us hearts to love those who speak negatively against us, let us forgive and bless, let those called by Your name walk in righteousness, showing forth the Kingdom of God on the earth.

and by your words you will be condemned."

Iran says it will 'use all available tools' to respond to Israel's attack
|
|
DUBAI, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Tehran will "use all available tools" to respond to Israel's weekend attack on military targets in Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday.
Iran previously played down Israel's air attack on Saturday, saying it caused only limited damage, while U.S. President Joe Biden called for a halt to escalation that has raised fears of an all-out conflagration in the Middle East.
Speaking at a weekly televised news conference, Baghaei said: "(Iran) will use all available tools to deliver a definite and effective response to the Zionist regime (Israel)".
The nature of Iran's response depends on the nature of the Israeli attack, Baghaei added, without elaborating.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that Iranian officials should determine how best to demonstrate Iran's power to Israel, adding that the Israeli attack should "neither be downplayed nor exaggerated". (Read more)

- Abba, Your people Israel need Your help. We ask that as Iran considers its options of response to Israel's attack, You make them mindful of what would come next. Israel's retaliation for Iran's ballistic missile barrage has left Iran vulnerable to any attack because of the damage done to their protection infrastructures. We thank you that Iranean leadership has been wise in their words, keeping their rhetoric in more conciliatory tones. We thank You for the wisdom You gave PM Netanyahu and his military leadership in the targets they chose to take out, we ask that this be the beginning of a more peaceful time in Your land. We ask that these military vulnerabilities be the reason for honest talks between Iran and Israel to get all the hostages released and home again. We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.
- "Teach us to number our days, that we
may gain a heart of wisdom."

5. Israel destroys all Iranian S-300 systems in strike on military targets - MSN
During air strikes on military targets in Iran on Oct. 26, Israeli aircraft destroyed three Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, which were a key element of Iran's air defense system, reports The Wall Street Journal.
During the attack, which involved about a hundred Israeli warplanes, the S-300 was able to intercept only a few hundred missiles fired at targets in Iran. Of the four systems that Iran received from Russia, three were destroyed during this operation, and the fourth was destroyed earlier.
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), one of the S-300 systems was deployed near Tehran airport, while the other two were protecting energy facilities, including an oil port, an oil refinery, and a gas field.
The loss of the S-300 leaves Iran's infrastructure vulnerable to missile attacks, as Russia cannot provide Iran with more modern S-400 systems, as they are in use in the war against Ukraine. (Read more)

1. Printing error affects Nevada County vote-by-mail ballots - CBS News
Nevada County is having trouble with their mail-in ballots due to a printing error. With Election Day nearing, county officials are working around the clock to fix the problem. Nevada County's elections office first realized something was wrong on Monday. The next day, they diagnosed the problem, and the error was specific to vote-by-mail ballots. They're not sure exactly how many of the 77,000 ballots issued were affected, but they have a plan to rescan the ones that are.
The county's machines weren't properly reading all the ballots, so they called the California Secretary of State's Office. The printing service then diagnosed the issue as an ink overspray on some of the bar codes.
"Some of our ballots, if you look really closely and use a magnifying glass, you will see that there is imperfections in the bar codes," said Nevada County Clerk Recorder Natalie Adona. "We will use a report and say, 'OK, which pages did not go through?' We'll pull those out and we'll mark them as to be rescanned, and we will rescan them with a piece of paper where the bar code is very clear." (Read more)
- Lord help the people and the leadership of Nevada sort through this situation. We pray that justice is done and that these votes are counted and the peoples voices are heard in Jesus name. 3. Kamala Harris says no to ‘religious exemptions’ in national abortion law if elected - The Christian Post
Vice President Kamala Harris has said she opposes any concessions on a national abortion law if elected president, rejecting any proposal that would include possible religious exemptions.
In an interview with NBC News’ Hallie Jackson on Tuesday, the Democrat presidential hopeful was asked about her plan to pass a federal law legalizing elective abortion nationwide.
“If you win, it is entirely possible that Congress will be controlled by Republicans,” Jackson said. “So, what specific concessions would you be willing to make in order to get something done on abortion access as soon as possible?”
Jackson asked if it were “a question of pragmatism” when dealing with Congress, and “what concessions would be on the table,” citing “religious exemptions” as an example.
“I don’t think we should be making concessions when we are talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body,” Harris replied. (Read more)

4. Trump Win Would Cement SCOTUS Conservative Majority 'Until 2050': Attorney - Newsweek
If Donald Trump wins the presidential election, he will create a conservative Supreme Courtuntil at least 2050, a legal analyst has said. Writing in his Cafe.com legal blog, lawyer and legal analyst Elie Honig analyzed the Supreme Court judges' age and likely length of time remaining on the bench.
"If Donald Trump wins, watch for the Court's current six-to-three conservative majority to become so deeply entrenched that it'll surely survive for the next generation or two," he said.
Honig said that the two oldest Supreme Court judges, Clarence Thomas, 76, and Samuel Alito, 74, may retire if Trump is elected, to allow for their replacement by young conservative judges.
He noted that Trump nominee Amy Coney Barrettwas in her late 40s and the other Trump nominees, Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, were in their early 50s. Honig believes that, if elected, Trump will continue their trend and appoint young conservative judges who could spend decades on the Supreme Court. (Read more)

5. Battle over abortion access stretches to state supreme court races - CBS News
As abortion continues to be a focal point of Democrats' campaigns for Congress and Vice President Kamala Harris' bid for the White House, the issue has also taken on a prominent role in state supreme court races as judges are tasked with determining access.
Voters in at least 30 states will decide who will fill 69 state supreme court seats in judicial elections, with the ideological balances of two high courts — in Michigan and Ohio — at stake. In both of those states and several others, including North Carolina, Kentucky and Montana, state high courts have decided high-profile cases and could see their compositions shift in November.
In anticipation of the roles they'll play, advocacy organizations are spending big on state supreme court elections this year. Planned Parenthood Votes and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee committed to investing at least $5 million on state supreme court races this cycle, and Planned Parenthood Votes is spending $2 million in Montana specifically. 6. Daughter of Powerful Chinese Communist Official Reveals Tim Walz Had a Secret Sexual Relationship with Her - Vigilant News
An explosive report reveals Tampon Tim Walz’s ties to China ran so deep he was having romantic relationships with powerful communist officials’ family members. The Daily Mail dropped a bombshell Monday afternoon revealing the Minnesota governor had a secret affair with the daughter of a high-ranking Communist official during his 1989 teaching stint in China. The woman who converted with Walz explained what happened to them in graphic detail.
59-year-old Jenna Wang told the outlet Walx seduced her with gifts while at a No. 1 High School in Foshan, Guangdong Province. At the time, Wang was an English language teacher at No. 8 Middle School while Walz was on the staff of the nonprofit WorldTeach in China.
“Tim was very handsome. I loved his eyes and his big mouth. We talked afterwards and he was very complimentary about my English,” Wang said to the Daily Mail. According to Wang, they could not be romantically seen in public because of her father’s position within the CCP. She said her father would completely disown her for being intimate with someone from the Western Hemisphere. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Voting For The Lie
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 30, 2024
As America enters the last few days before the presidential election, the new media is in frenzy mode. If you look at the stories on conservative media, former President Trump is picking up steam. The case for Trump is so obvious that people would be stupid to vote any other way. If you look at the stories in the leftist media, the case for Kamala Harris is so obvious that only racists, bigots and deplorable people would not vote for Harris. The country is deeply divided and the news media—on both sides—has become shills for what people want to believe. Herein, is the major issue for the election: if voters believe what they want to believe rather than the truth, the resulting leadership will be based on a lie.
Jesus addressed this very issue in a discourse with the Pharisees and scribes after he forgave the woman taken in adultery. Remember, Jesus challenged them by saying “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” They walked away and he told the women to go and sin no more. Following this, the Pharisees confronted Jesus saying he was a liar. John 8:13 says, “The Pharisees therefore said unto him, “You are bearing witness concerning Yourself; Your testimony is not true.” As the conversation played out, eventually it got to the point that Jesus called out the religious leaders for wanting to kill him. Jesus said in verse 41, “You do the deeds of your father.” To which the Pharisees replied, “We are not born of sexual immorality; we have one Father, even God.” They were saying that Jesus was illegitimate. Dr. Alveda King: The time for pointed cultural ethnic jokes is not at a political rally
|
|
|
Political rallies can be uplifting and entertaining, within reason. However, for the most part, attendees are there for information, not for a concert or variety show. I personally attend these types of rallies to offer “boots on the ground” prayers.
On Saturday, I attended President Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in the heart of New York City. There, a star-studded lineup of talented speakers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and more spoke to a packed house of enthusiastic patriots and offered a compelling vision on the future of our American experiment in self-government.
Unfortunately, at the top of the rally, there was an inappropriate comedy routine - with content firmly disavowed following the rally by the campaign - that tried to steal most of the headlines immediately following the event. The comedian’s ill-timed cultural ethnic jokes, targeting the Black and Puerto Rican cultures, were all in very poor taste.
. . .So obviously at this rally, this simply wasn’t the time or the place for these sorts of jokes, and both the campaign and members of Florida’s Republican delegation quickly distanced themselves from these remarks.
In his first four years, and now, President Trump’s first term and this campaign offers Americans an opportunity to continue with a formula that works: A government is best when it governs least, with leaders who respect the rights of parents to determine the direction of their children’s education, an economy that works for everyone through opportunity and hope, and a return to peace through strength.
As members of the one-blood human race, we ought to reunite under this vision and elect leaders who will stand for the dignity of all Americans, from womb to tomb and beyond.
While the ill-timed jokes may have missed the mark, this offers us an opportunity to continue to direct our prayer energy to the issues that matter most—and when it comes to that, the vision that President Trump and his allies offered at Madison Square Garden was a beautiful thing indeed.

- Abba, we give You thanks for all that Dr. King had to say about the inappropriate joke that was told at President Trump's rally in Madison Square Garden. Thank You for her level headed approach to not only the bad joke but to all that happened there. We thank You for each person who stood with President Trump and his vision for a "one blood" country. Lord, we ask Holy Spirit to move across our nation, speak to all hearts of what YOU intend for our country, who YOU intend to guide the United States over the next 4 years and beyond. I ask You to intervene in any and all plans of the enemy to create violence and chaos if this election does not end as they wish, we ask You to dispatch legions of angels to watch over our land, Your land. We decree and declare that Your plans and purposes for our nation will be accomplished through this election. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Host of Heaven's Armies.

Virginia AG cheers Supreme Court ruling as ‘huge win’ for election integrity
|
|
|
The decision proves a victory for Gov. Glenn Youngkin just days after the state had filed an emergency appeal to the high court
|
|
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares on Wednesday called the Supreme Court's order halting a lower court's decision to reinstate hundreds of potential noncitizens to the state's voter rolls "a huge win for the rule of law."
"This is just a huge win for the rule of law," Miyares told Fox News Digital shortly after the Supreme Court issued its order. "It ensures that Virginia will be allowed to follow our laws that make sure that noncitizens are not on our voter rolls for next week's elections, that we're not going to be forced to be putting 1,500 plus noncitizens back on our rolls."
"I'm very grateful that the Supreme Court recognized the importance of the issue and they made this decision in such a short timeframe," Miyares said. "It's really just a reaffirmation of our commitment to both election integrity and making sure that our electoral process remains secure for all Virginians."
Miyares went on to applaud the team at the Virginia Attorney General's Office for the "amount of hard work these past two weeks upholding and defending Virginia law."
"And I'm very, very proud of my team because their commitment to the rule of law has been exemplary during this process," Miyares said.
A divided court granted the state's stay application pending appeal in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday. Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, we give you praise and glory that the Supreme Court has allowed potential non-citizens to be removed from the voter rolls in VA. We ask You to move in every state that has allowed illegals to be registered to vote, speak to the hearts of those called by Your name, give them vision and wisdom to challenge this in the courts. We ask for judges whose hearts are sold out to truth and justice, to rule as SCOTUS has done, that illegals have no place on our state voter rolls. Father God, we ask You to ensure that any names that are actually citizens of our country be given the right to vote as outlined in this decision. We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

Prophecy Unfolding: Why Today's World Looks Exactly Like The Bible Warned
|
|
Almost two thousand years ago, Peter prophesied about the last days. He said just before Jesus returns, people will openly mock the Second Coming. They'll say, "What happened to Jesus? I thought He was coming back? Yet everything remains the same as it has since the world first began" (2 Peter 3:3-4).
I'll bet you've heard this argument many times. But is it true? Is the world of today "the same as it's always been"? Absolutely not. In fact, it's absurd to say it is.
Why? Because the truth is the exact opposite. Our generation is unlike any before it. Not only can we point to clear signs of His Return, but almost every sign the Bible says to look for is present right now. Some signs are completely fulfilled (such as the re-establishment of Israel as a nation state).
Others seem to be in an early stage of fulfillment (such as the emergence of a revived Roman Empire in the form of the European Union). Regardless of the stage of fulfillment, some form of almost every end times sign is converging in our time. Nevertheless, most people remain ignorant of these signs. And that's a shame. Read More
