Donald Trump Says His Party ‘Embraces Followers of Jesus’
|
|
Former President Donald Trump said this week that while Kamala Harris mocks Christians, his party “embraces” followers of Jesus. “While Kamala said that people who believe in Jesus don’t belong to her rallies, in our Movement — We love Christians, we welcome believers, and we embrace followers of Jesus,” Trump wrote on Instagram. Trump’s comments after earlier this week, Vice President Kamala Harris mocked pro-life protesters during a campaign stop in Wisconsin this week, telling a man who yelled “Jesus is Lord” that he was attending the wrong event. Hundreds of Ballots Destroyed in Oregon and Washington Ballot Box Fires
|
|
Two fires at ballot drop boxes in Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington, led to police responses early on Oct. 28, with one fire resulting in the destruction of potentially hundreds of ballots. Officials said at a press conference that they believe the incidents are connected and that they have identified a suspect vehicle.
At about 3:30 a.m. in Portland, officers responded to reports of a fire at a ballot drop box outside the Multnomah County elections office.
Mike Brenner, public information officer for the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), stated: “By the time officers arrived, I can tell you that security personnel in the area had already extinguished the fire. Our officers quickly determined that there was an incendiary device that had been attached to the ballot box, and that is what ignited this fire.”
The PPB’s Explosive Disposal Unit cleared the device, which is now in the custody of authorities.
PPB Assistant Chief Amanda McMillan acknowledged the heightened emotions surrounding the coming election, stating: “We do know that acts like this are targeted and they’re intentional, and we’re concerned about that intentional act trying to affect the election process. We’re dedicated to stopping that kind of behavior, and we’re working toward that today.”
In Vancouver’s Clark County, another “incendiary device” was placed in a drop box a few hours later, burning “hundreds” of ballots, as shown in footage from local ABC outlet KATU. First responders were seen pulling still-burning ballots from the box, which continued smoldering despite pouring rain. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Trump, Harris Enter Final Week of Campaign: Here’s the Swing-State Vote Breakdown
|
|
With Election Day just more than a week away and a flurry of presidential campaign stops scheduled, nearly 44 million people have voted early in person or via mail-in ballots so far.
Ahead of the Nov. 5 contest, the trend of registered Republican voters going to the polls earlier and returning more mail-in ballots appears to be continuing, and this has eaten into Democrats’ early-voting totals, data show.
For overall early voting, registered Democratic voters make up about 39.8 percent, whereas Republican voters stand at about 36 percent in states that report party affiliation, according to data compiled by the University of Florida’s Election Lab.
And for early in-person voting, Republicans have a 600,000-vote advantage over Democrats. But Democrats have a 4.8 million advantage in terms of mail-in ballot returns so far, data show.
For years, former President Donald Trump encouraged his supporters to cast only in-person ballots on Election Day. But he has largely reversed course in recent months as he and his party have acknowledged the obvious benefit of having Republican voters bank their votes as early as possible. - In our representative government, we thank You Lord that “we the people” have a voice in whom we elect to serve the people, unlike many nations in the world. Help us to take this privilege and responsibility seriously and with godly wisdom. Father, we ask You to order the outcome of these elections in a way that will best contribute to the flourishing of the Church, the good of the nation, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Middle East Steps Back From Brink of Larger War
|
|
With Israel’s retaliatory attack on Iran finished, the Middle East appears to be drawing back—for now—from the brink of a wider war.
Complying with pressure from President Joe Biden to avoid hitting Iran’s nuclear facilities or energy-producing installations, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) focused on military sites such as air defense, missile and drone production, and launch sites early on Oct. 26.
The attack came in retaliation for Iran’s launch of nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel on Oct. 1. Israel stated that most of them were downed but reports of damage to air bases emerged later.
Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu called the attack “precise and powerful” and said it met all of Israel’s objectives.
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said on Oct. 28 that Iran “will use all available tools to deliver a definite and effective response to the Zionist regime [Israel].” He didn’t say how Iran would respond specifically.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said his government will determine how best to respond and demonstrate Iran’s power to Israel, saying that the attack should “neither be downplayed nor exaggerated.”
Iran’s state news agency reported that the damage had been limited and noted that air travel resumed as of 9 a.m. on Oct. 26. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Lord God, even though the future of our world is uncertain, our future, as children of God, is sure. We choose to put our trust, hope, and confidence in you. We continue to pray peace over the Middle East, peace over every family, and individual that has lost a loved one in the military or due to the impacts of war, that you would help them and comfort them. In Jesus' name, amen.

1. Netanyahu would have accepted Egyptian hostage deal ‘immediately’ - Jerusalem Post
The Prime Minister’s Office denied the existence of the hostage deal proposed on Sunday by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in a post on Twitter/X on Monday.
The Egyptian deal would reportedly allow for the release of four hostages in exchange for a 48-hour ceasefire.
In a press conference held in Cairo on Sunday, Sisi proposed an initial two-day ceasefire in Gaza to exchange four Israeli hostages of Hamas for some Palestinian prisoners.
Additionally, Sisi said that talks should resume within 10 days of the temporary ceasefire to continue efforts toward a permanent one. (Read more)

2. 600 Hamas terrorists surrender in northern Gaza - World Israel News
Six hundred terrorists have surrendered and been captured so far in Jabalia after the IDF cut off the northern Gazan region several weeks ago where the so-called refugee camp is located.
Some 120 were taken in a raid over the weekend of the local hospital that Hamas was using as a primary command-and-control center.
About 20 terrorists were killed and 60 captured in the IDF foray into the Kamal Adwan Hospital. Another 60 were found hiding among the patients, along with cash, documents and weaponry that had been stashed throughout the medical complex. (Read more)

3. Gallant: 'Hezbollah down to just 20% of its rocket capabilities' - Israel National News
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that the Hezbollah terrorist organization has lost an estimated 80 percent of the rocket-firing capabilities it had prior to the beginning of Operation Northern Arrows.
“I estimate the remaining capacity of the missiles and rockets to be around 20 percent, and in addition, it is not organized in the way that it used to be organized, in a way that Hezbollah could fire larger volleys,” Gallant said during a visit to the IDF Northern Command base in Tzfat (Safed) Tuesday evening.
“There is a deep connection between our strike in Iran and what is happening to Hezbollah. Iran understands that Hezbollah does not have the ability to respond, and Hezbollah understands that it cannot rely on Iran," Gallant added. (Read more)

4. At ‘emergency session’ on Israel’s attack on Iran, UN Security Council splits along traditional fault lines - JNS
Iran will suffer “severe consequences” if the Islamic Republic continues to attack Israel or U.S. troops across the Middle East, Washington said during a contentious U.N. Security Council meeting on Monday afternoon.
The emergency session—which Algeria, China and Russia called—addressed the impact of Israel’s retaliatory attacks on Iranian military targets over the weekend, in response to Tehran’s barrage of some 200 ballistic missiles on Israel earlier in the month.
Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the global body, told the Security Council that Washington, which doesn’t want to see further escalation, believes “this should be the end of the direct exchange of fire between Israel and Iran.” But the United States “will not hesitate to act in self-defense,” she said. 5. 5,000-year-old temple discovered near Beit Shemesh - Israel Hayom
A remarkable archaeological discovery near Beit Shemesh has unveiled a 5,000-year-old settlement that provides unprecedented insights into ancient Israel's first steps toward urbanization. The site features one of the earliest known temples in the Judean Lowlands, containing dozens of pristine ritual vessels and among the region's earliest known pottery kilns.
Archaeologists from the Israel Antiquities Authority have uncovered a 5,000-year-old settlement that offers rare evidence of early urbanization in ancient Israel. The discovery, made at the Horvat Hushim site during preparations for expanding the western "Brosh" industrial zone near Beit Shemesh, centers around an extraordinary public building believed to have served ceremonial purposes.
Inside the structure, researchers found a chamber containing about 40 perfectly preserved vessels, including numerous miniature ceremonial items. "It is interesting that these many pots and juglets were placed here just shortly before the entire site was abandoned forever," said excavation directors Ariel Shatil, Maayan Hemed, and Danny Ben-Ayon of the Israel Antiquities Authority. "You can literally imagine the people who put down this ware and left it all here. It is not known what happened in this room later, but there are signs of burning, and vessels that fell on top of each other. Laboratory examination of their former contents of the vessels using different scientific methods will shed additional light on the site: We will be able to tell if they contained oil, water, wheat – or perhaps they were specifically for exotic oils or other substances." 1. Chicago Police Don’t Charge Suspect With Hate Crime After He Shot Jewish Man and Reportedly Yelled 'Allahu Akbar’ - Free Beacon
A 22-year-old man was charged with over a dozen felonies Monday after shooting a Jewish man and firing at first responders in Chicago over the weekend, according to the Chicago Police Department. The suspect, Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, reportedly yelled "Allahu Akbar" during the firefight but was not charged with a hate crime.
"The first thing is we have to find out who’s committing the crime. Secondly, we have to find out the motive for the crime," Chicago police superintendent Larry Snelling saidduring a press conference Monday afternoon. "We don’t just go in and assume that everything is a hate crime, but what we don’t do is rule out the possibility that it could be."
Abdallahi approached a 39-year-old man from behind Saturday morning and, without saying anything, fired several rounds, striking him in the shoulder, according to police. The victim was an Orthodox Jew on his way to a nearby synagogue, Jewish United Fund of Chicago president Lonnie Nasatir told the Jewish News Syndicate. Nasatir said the neighborhood where the victim was shot has one of the city’s largest Orthodox Jewish populations. (Read more)

2. Monkey Business in Delaware County, PA: Voters Turned Away - Independent Sentinel
Earlier today, the RNC’s Chairman Whatley warned of “voter suppression” in Pennsylvania.
“Voters are being turned away, given faulty information, and told their ballots will not be counted. This is nothing short of voter suppression.”
Today, Val Biancaniello, an RNC committeewoman, was taken away in handcuffs for telling people to stay in line and vote. The witness who taped her said she was not influencing the election. Ms. Biancaniello wrote on X that they told voters to go to a satellite location, but when at least one person went to that location, they wouldn’t print mail-in ballots there.
“A county board of election worker was encouraging people in line to vote at the Chester Heights satellite location. A young woman left the line at the Government Center and drove to the Chester Heights satellite location only to be told, “we are out of mail in ballot applications.” They can literally print more out! This is voter suppression. Imagine if this was happening to Democrat voters!” (Read more)

3. Trump Tops Harris in New Hampshire: Poll - Resist the Mainstream
President Donald Trump has taken a stunning lead in a recent survey for New Hampshire, a state that’s traditionally safe for Democrats in the national elections. A New Hampshire Journal/Praecones Analytica poll posted Sunday night put Trump at 50.2 percent to Kamala Harris, who pulled in 49.8 percent.
The poll collected responses from 622 registered voters in The Granite State between October 24 and 26. It marks Trump’s first lead in New Hampshire since he had passed Biden in a similar New Hampshire Journal/Praecones Analytica poll back in July, shortly before Biden dropped out.
Trump national campaign spokesperson and Atkinson, New Hampshire native Karoline Leavitt commented, per NH Journal: “There’s a reason Kamala Harris has been spending money in New Hampshire. She’s on defense and knows President Trump is on the path to victory.” (Read more)

4. Satanic Temple Opens Another Abortion Clinic - IFA
After first opening a clinic in New Mexico, TST announced it is expanding into the commonwealth of Virginia with its second 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week location, according to a press releaseabout the new facility.
TST [claims it ]is not religiously tied to Satanism, but is an activist organization seeking to advance political and societal goals.
Nevertheless, TST has sought to enshrine abortion as a religious practice and, as a result, has argued it should — in the name of religious liberty — be exempt from abortion restrictions that came in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
The Virginia-based facility is called “Right to Your Life Satanic Abortion Clinic.” Women who obtain abortions from the new clinic will be charged a fee for the abortion-inducing drugs, but TST has stated it will assist women by aiding with some travel-related expenses. According to a TST document shared with The Christian Post, the group describes abortion as part of a “destruction ritual that serves as a protective rite,” (Read more)

- Oh Jesus, the unbelievable and tragic depths of evil that people are walking in right now. We, the church, repent for having left such a spiritual void in our culture that people searching for divine love and peace have stooped to such a dire level of wickedness. Clearly satan is very eager to fill the spiritual void in our culture and will use any opportunity to capitalize. Grr… We pray Abba, that You would strengthen the back and voice of the body of Christ on earth here and now to stand and oppose this death cult in the natural and in the spiritual. May we see these people redeemed, turning to Jesus and being filled with the Holy Spirit so they may know true spiritual joy and security, in Jesus name. Amen.
- "Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord In the land of the living." (Psalm 118:7-9)

5. Nevada Supreme Court rejects GOP mail ballot challenge - The Hill
Nevada’s Supreme Court affirmed a lower court decision Monday allowing mail ballots to be counted if they arrive without a postmark up to three days after the Nov. 5 election. A majority of the high court ruled the state law requiring mail-in ballots to be counted even if the postmark “cannot be determined” applied to ballots without any postmark, as well as ballots whose postmarks are illegible.
The decision served as a blow to Republicans, who argued the law should just apply to ballots whose postmarks are illegible. “If a voter properly and timely casts their vote by mailing their ballot before or on the day of the election, and through a post office omission the ballot is not postmarked, it would go against public policy to discount that properly cast vote,” Nevada’s majority opinion read.
The high court upheld the district court decision that the GOP lacked standing, saying the plaintiffs did not provide sufficient evidence that the mail ballots would be subject to voter fraud or that the security measures in place were inadequate to address concerns. (Read more)

- Holy One, here is yet another presentation of corruption against legitimate elections. The GOP has as much standing regarding legal elections as any other party in this matter and it seems inappropriate and opposed to justice for the court to make such an accusation. We declare that there will be continued efforts to compel Nevada to do the right thing on behalf of voters on both sides of the aisle, and we pray Father that You will expose every area of injustice and unrighteousness in balloting, in Jesus name.
- "and said to the judges, 'Take heed to what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgment. Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.'" (2 Chronicles 19:6-7)

6. Concerns rise over lines allegedly being closed early in battleground state - DML News
There have recently been multiple incidents in Pennsylvania surrounding early voting that are raising alarms, including fraudulent voter registration applications, a questionable state supreme court ruling about ballots, and an RNC official who was arrested for simply telling people to not give up, but stay in line to vote.
Now a new video has started circulating Tuesday afternoon, which shows two “emergency services” officers setting up a sign to CLOSE a voter line at 2:30 in the afternoon.
James Blair, Political Director of the Trump 2024 Campaign & Republican National Committee, posted the video and declared, “What are you doing about this @GovernorShapiro? This is Bucks County Emergency Services shutting down the line in Doylestown right now at ~2:30 PM. This is suppressive and intimidating.”
Blair was commenting on a post by Governor Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, who wrote, “TODAY is the last day to apply for your mail in ballot in Pennsylvania. If you are in line at a county elections office by 5 P.M., counties must give you an opportunity to apply for your mail ballot. Our @PAStateDept is working with all counties to ensure every eligible voter who wants to vote by mail ballot can do so.” (Read more)

We are not willing to be silent in the face of injustice, so Holy King, we ask You to amplify the voices of righteousness and release those who will enforce the law in Pennsylvania and every other state of the union where action to defraud legal voters is happening, in Jesus name.
- "So pursue them with Your tempest, And frighten them with Your storm. Fill their faces with shame, That they may seek Your name, O Lord." (Psalm 83:15-16)

Trump's Uphill Battle; Harris' Downhill Slope
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 29, 2024
A week ahead of the presidential election, an analysis of the electoral votes underscore the tremendous uphill battle for Donald Trump to win election and the built-in advantage of Kamala Harris. Whether a state requires voter identification to vote; if voter rolls are up to date; and if ballots can be authenticated all play an essential role. In this constitutional republic only qualified voters are allowed to vote in a presidential election. Those requirements are one must be 18 years of age, an American citizen, meet their state’s residency requirements, and be registered to vote. Some states, as you will see in this analysis, game the system toward democrats, greasing Kamala Harris’ path to election victory.
Currently, there are 15 states that do not require voter identification to cast a vote for president. They are: ME, VT, MA, NY, PA, MD, NJ, IL, MN, NM, NV, CA, OR, WA, HA. These states comprise 207 of the 270 electoral votes needed to secure the presidency. Interesting that all these states are traditional Democratic Party strongholds and have voted for Democratic Party presidential candidates in the past. In addition, states won by Democrats in the last three of four presidential elections or all four of the last four elections are MI, WS, CO, VA, NH. They represent another 51 electoral votes. Before any presidential election even begins, the Democratic Party candidate has an advantage of 258 electoral votes. Read More

76 Percent of Americans Are Worried About Post-Election Violence: Poll
|
|
|
A new poll shows that the vast majority of Americans are at least somewhat worried about a possible outbreak of violence following the fast-approaching Nov. 5 presidential election.
The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll, released on Oct. 28, found that 41 percent of registered voters were “extremely” or “very” concerned about post-election political violence, with another 35 percent saying they are “somewhat” concerned about an outbreak of unrest after Election Day.
A higher percentage of Americans (82 percent) said they were at least “somewhat” concerned about increased political violence directed at election officials or political figures. The specter of violence has hung over much of the presidential campaign due to two assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump, while President Joe Biden said recently he’s confident the election will be “free and fair” but is unsure whether it will be “peaceful.”
The findings of the AP-NORC survey align with the results of a recent Scripps News/Ipsos poll, which showed that 62 percent of Americans believe that an outbreak of post-election violence is at least “somewhat” likely. At the same time, over half (51 percent) of those polled by Scripps News/Ipsos said they would support using the U.S. military to prevent election-related violence, including 61 percent of Republicans.
The use of the U.S. military to respond to political violence has become a heated topic of discussion in recent weeks after Trump said he wasn’t concerned about election-related violence because, if chaos were to truly break out, the National Guard—or even regular military units—could step in to restore order.
“I think it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can’t let that happen,” Trump said in an Oct. 13 interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, in response to a question about the potential for an outbreak of election-related violence. The former president added that he wasn’t worried about potential Election Day chaos being fomented by his supporters or foreign actors, but instead by people he labeled “radical left lunatics” and the “enemy from within.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

26 Republican attorneys general join Virginia in petitioning Supreme Court to rule on voter roll
|
|
|
Twenty-six Republican attorneys general joined Virginia on Monday in urging the Supreme Court to halt a lower court decision that restored the voting rights of 1,600 residents.
The amicus brief backs Virginia’s contention that the ruling is overly broad and lacks standing under a provision of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), which orders states to halt all "systematic" voter roll maintenance 90 days before an election. It now has the support of every Republican-led U.S. state, giving it outsize attention in the final stretch before the election.
In the amicus brief, attorneys general urged the court to grant Virginia’s emergency motion and "restore the status quo," noting that doing so "would comply with the law and enable Virginia to ensure that noncitizens do not vote in the upcoming election."
The states also sided with Virginia in objecting to the Justice Department’s reading of NVRA protections, which they said was overly broad.
Moreover, they said, the law in place in Virginia was not designed to "systematically" remove residents from the voter rolls, as Justice Department officials cited in their lawsuit earlier this month.
The Justice Department had argued the removals were conducted too close to the Nov. 5 elections and violated the "quiet period" provision under NVRA. That contention was backed by a federal judge in Alexandria, which ordered the affected voters back on the rolls, and upheld by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. (Fox News) Read more here.

Trump says Harris ‘running a campaign of demonization and hate’ in closing message to Georgia voters
|

|
Trump also responded to Democrats comparing his historic MSG event to a Nazi rally
|
|
Former President Trump accused his 2024 rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, of running on a message of "hate" during a rally just over a week before Election Day.
Trump is delivering his closing message to voters this week, spending Monday in the key battleground of Georgia for back-to-back events.
"I'm running a campaign of solutions to save our country," the former president said in Atlanta. "Kamala is running a campaign of demonization and hate. She really does, she's a hater."
It's a shot at the Democratic vice president after she said Trump "fans the fuel of hate and division" over his massive rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
The former president laid into Harris for calling him a "fascist" while criticizing Democrats for comparing his Sunday night rally to a Nazi event.
"Kamala is labeling more than half of the country as enemy combatants, and she's calling them all fascists and Nazis. Okay, but she's a fascist, okay. She's a fascist," Trump said.
At one point the crowd erupted in chants of "Lock her up" aimed at Harris, which Trump chided with, "Be nice."
The former president pushed back on the left's comparisons between his New York City event and the German Nazis of the 20th Century, arguing the Harris campaign was encouraging such rhetoric and that it was to blame for the recent attempts on his life. (Fox News) Read more here

He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.

Typhoon Kong-rey to bring 180-mph winds,
3 feet of rain to Taiwan
|
|
Typhoon Kong-rey will strengthen to the equivalent of a Category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale later this week as it approaches Taiwan. Landfall Thursday will bring significant structural damage, mudslides and flooding. Kong-rey, known as Leon in the Philippines, is a 4 on the AccuWeather RealImpact™ Scale for Taiwan.
Both Taiwan and the Philippines have been hit recently by tropical storms. Deadly Super Typhoon Krathon hit Taiwan on Oct. 3. Tropical Storm Trami, known as Kristine in the Philippines, killed at least 126 people with flooding rain last weekend.
As of Tuesday morning, Kong-rey is the equivalent of a Category 2 hurricane. Additional strengthening to a very strong typhoon is likely before striking southern Taiwan Thursday. There is a chance Kong-rey could reach super typhoon intensity, the highest category ranked by the Japan Meteorological Agency, on Wednesday.
Typhoon Kong-rey will continue to track west-northwestward into Wednesday. The storm may turn more to the northwest by Thursday as it makes landfall in Taiwan, then northeastward after landfall in eastern China Friday as a tropical storm. Read More

"Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)
|
|
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
