|
|
During a meeting at the White House with Israeli President Herzog, US President Biden highlights Israel’s maritime border agreement with Lebanon, which is expected to be finalized on Thursday.
“Tomorrow, Israel and Lebanon are going to sign an agreement to establish a permanent — permanent — maritime boundary,” Biden says, adding that it took “guts” for Israel to make the deal.
“I think it’s a historic breakthrough–it took a lot of courage for you to step up and step into it, and it took some real guts, and I think it took principle and persistent diplomacy to get it done,” he says.
“I compliment you and I compliment the government,” Biden says, adding that the deal should have significant benefits for both Israel and Lebanon. (Times of Israel) Read more

We ask you to forgive President Biden and anyone representing the United States for their part in creating and executing this agreement. |
|
Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson are sharing with the U.S. attorney leading the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden more than 200 pages of bank records related to his and the Biden family’s alleged "connections to the Chinese regime and persons connected to its military and intelligence elements".
Grassley and Johnson obtained the records from a U.S. bank in the course of their investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings. The records reveal transactions between Hunter Biden-linked business entities and Chinese energy firm CEFC, which reportedly had ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
Some of those transactions were previously revealed in Grassley and Johnson’s 2020 reports, which they say showed that the Biden family’s "extensive links to foreign governments and questionable foreign nationals posed counterintelligence and extortion concerns." (Fox News)

1. Lebanese president contradicts Lapid, no recognition of Israel after deal, still at war - World Israel News
Lebanese President Michel Aoun clarified on Thursday that the maritime border deal forged with Israel does not constitute recognition by Beirut of Israel, after Prime Minister Yair Lapid suggested as much.
In a statement issued after he signed a letter approving the terms of the agreement, Aoun said it would have “no political dimensions or impacts that contradict Lebanon’s foreign policy.”
Lapid signed the U.S.-mediated accord on Thursday, following its approval by the Cabinet earlier in the day. (Read more)

2. Elderly activist beaten by settlers: Cruelty happening in those hills all the time - Times of Israel
Hagar Gefen, 70, was hoping to escape unnoticed with the footage she captured of masked settlers descending on the southern West Bank village of Kisan, where she and other Israeli activists were accompanying Palestinian harvesters in their fields last week.
“I thought that I could find a way down the hill, hide myself and continue taking photos without them being able to see me,” Gefen recalled Tuesday, a day after she was released from the hospital, where she was treated for a broken hand and ribs, a punctured lung and a head contusion.
Left-wing activists often join Palestinian farmers in hopes that the presence of other Israelis will deter settler extremists from targeting the villagers, who face an uptick in attacks each fall season. But that proved not to be case on October 19, when two of the masked assailants spotted Gefen in the fields of Kisan and beat her with stones and clubs as she lay helpless on the ground, shielding her face from the blows. 3. ‘A new era’: At border ceremony without handshakes, Israel-Lebanon deal takes effect - Times of Israel
Israel and Lebanon’s landmark maritime border deal went into effect Thursday evening after a ceremony at a UN base near the border, ending years of conflict over the matter and repeated saber-rattling by the Hezbollah terror group.
US mediator Amos Hochstein hailed “a great day” for Israel, Lebanon and the broader region. Prime Minister Yair Lapid said the agreement represented de facto recognition of Israel by Lebanon. While Lebanon’s President Michel Aoun rejected this claim, the chief Lebanese negotiator spoke of “a new era” and invoked the Abraham Accords treaties between Israel and other regional states.
Delegations from both countries met but did not interact at the Lebanese border village of Naqoura to finalize the agreement. No photos were issued from the signing event. (Read more)

4. Meta Partners With Jerusalem’s Hebrew University to Develop Artificial Intelligence - Algemeiner
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem on Wednesday announced the launch of a joint PhD program with social media giant Meta, formerly known as Facebook, to advance research in artificial intelligence in academia and industry.
As part of the joint doctoral program, the participating students from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HU)’s School of Engineering and Computer Science will work with Meta AI mentors and and receive scholarships to cement their understanding in AI and machine learning. The doctoral students will also benefit from access to Meta’s computational infrastructure and facilities.
“This one-of-a-kind collaboration will empower Hebrew U.’s PhD students to both study at one of Israel’s leading universities and to test their ideas in Meta’s industry-leading AI laboratory,” said Sara Cohen, Dean of HU’s School of Computer Science and Engineering.
Meta AI, controlled by Meta Inc., is an artificial intelligence laboratory focused on the advancement of research, projects, and publications in a number of areas, such as natural language processing and machine learning. (Read more)

5. Syria accuses Israel of early morning strike - Israel Hayom
Alleged Israeli airstrikes targeted sites in the vicinity of Damascus early Thursday, marking the third such strikes in a week, Syrian state media reported.
The Syrian military said that Israeli missiles were fired at posts near Damascus around 12:30 a.m. and that its air defenses had "confronted the missile aggression and downed most of them." There were no casualties reported.
The attack follows similar strikes Friday and Monday. Monday's rare daytime airstrike wounded a soldier, according to the Syrian army. (Read more)

1. Biden Concedes It Will ‘Take Some Time’ for Inflation to Ease – The Epoch Times
President Joe Biden on Wednesday said that it will take time before inflation will ease for most Americans as polls show how price pressures continue to be a pressing issue ahead of the 2022 midterms.
“I’m optimistic,” he said during an event unveiling new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rules against banking fees. “It’s going to take some time. I appreciate the frustration of the American people.”
The president again blamed world events for the rise in inflation. Labor Department data shows that the consumer price index, a key inflation metric, stood at 8.2 percent in September, running near the 40-year high.
“One of the things that I think frustrates the American people, is they know that the world is in a bit of disarray. They know that [Russia’s] war has imposed an awful lot of strains on Europe and the rest of the world and the United States,” Biden said. “They want to know what are we doing.”
Republicans have repeatedly hammered Biden and Democrats for pushing multi-trillion spending packages and embracing policies that have reduced or dampened U.S. oil production. (Read more)

2. Trump to Hold Rallies in Four States Ahead of Midterm Elections – The Epoch Times
Trump is scheduled to hold rallies in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Ohio in the span of five days until the eve of the elections, according to separate press releases issued through the Save America political action committee on Oct. 26.
The first stop is Sioux City, Iowa, on Nov. 3, when Trump is scheduled to “advance the MAGA agenda,” referring to his campaign slogan, Make America Great Again, by campaigning for Republicans including Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), both seeking reelection to their current positions.
Two days later, Trump will hold a rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, lining up behind state Sen. Doug Mastriano for governor and Mehmet Oz for Senate in the Commonwealth.

3. New Email Reveals Answer to Establishment’s Efforts to Oust Trump – The Epoch Times
New detail in Danchenko trial exhibits suggests that FBI intentionally targeted Trump on false Russia collusion charges
An FBI email previously not known to the public has revealed that the bureau planned to make Igor Danchenko—the primary source for British former spy Christopher Steele’s Trump dossier—a confidential human source (CHS) before it had even interviewed him.
The revelation, which was discovered as a result of special counsel John Durham’s case against Danchenko, indicates that the FBI deliberately targeted 2016 presidential candidate and later President Donald Trump with claims it already knew at the time to be false.
The email—of which only the subject line has been made public—was first uncovered by an internet sleuth who goes by the moniker “Walkafyre” and was included in hundreds of unused exhibits from Danchenko’s trial. (Read more)

4. White House Believes Russia 'Advising' Iran On Stamping Out Protests – ZeroHedge
The White House issued an unusual claim late in the day Wednesday, alleging that Russia may be advising Iran on how to better crackdown on protesters.
"We stand with the brave citizens and the brave women of Iran who right now are demonstrating to secure their basic rights," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre began in a briefing, addressing the raging "anti-hijab" protests, which have been ongoing since mid-September.
She then said the United States is "concerned that Moscow may be advising Tehran on best practices to manage protests, drawing on Russia’s extensive experience in suppressing open demonstrations."
While not offering any evidence of the new, unprecedented charge, Jean-Pierre noted that Iran's assistance to Russian forces in the Ukraine conflict is "clear and public." This is in reference to the Iranian suicide drones wreaking havoc on Ukrainian cities over the past two weeks.
Both Iran and Russia have maintained official denials that the drones have been supplied from Tehran, but Washington says it has evidence the denial is false. Recovered destroyed drones as well as video evidence points to Iran's 'Shahed-136' systems being deployed by Kremlin forces. (Read more)

We have reached a point where nearly two-thirds of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. So what happens if millions of those people suddenly lose their paychecks during the severe economic downturn that is ahead of us? In 2008, unprecedented numbers of Americans found themselves unable to pay their mortgages when the recession struck, and foreclosures surged to absolutely shocking levels. Unfortunately, we have set ourselves up for the same thing to happen again. Most Americans are literally teetering on the brink of financial disaster, and it won’t take much to push them over the edge.
According to a survey that was just released, 63 percent of Americans were living paycheck to paycheck in September…As rising prices continue to outpace wage gains, families are finding less cushion in their monthly budget.

6. Nikki Haley at Jerusalem Event: "The U.S. Can Never Let Israel Down" - Israel365 News
Antisemitism should always be called out, Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said at a recent event for the Jerusalem College of Technology. Haley spoke out against the recent wave of antisemitism while reaffirming the need for the US to stand with Israel.
On Sunday, The Canadian Friends of Jerusalem College of Technology (CF-JCT) held its 50th-anniversary gala dinner in Toronto. Haley gave the keynote address and received an honorary degree. The former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, who stood strongly against an anti-Israel bias at the institution, took the opportunity to speak out against antisemitism, a problem that has recently skyrocketed in the United States.
“We have to call out antisemitism every time we see it,” Haley said to the 500 attendees at the event. “It’s not okay. It will never be okay. We have to speak up every time we see it. We have to humiliate those that do it every time they do it. And we have to remind leaders to speak up.” (Read more)

7. New York public employees FREED from covid jab mandate, thanks to state Supreme Court – Pandemic News
Every city worker who was fired for refusing to get “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) must now be reinstated, ruled the New York state Supreme Court this week.
After a lengthy legal battle following the Empire State’s abolishment of religious exemptions, the state Supreme Court delivered a long-awaited victory to unvaccinated staff members in the Big Apple who were let go for preserving their natural immunity.
“Being vaccinated does not prevent an individual from contracting or transmitting Covid-19,” the court ruled, ordering all affected employees who were fired to be immediately reinstated with back pay.
Covid jab mandates, the court went on to confirm, were “about compliance,” having absolutely nothing to do with public health. Forcing people to get injected is “unconstitutional, arbitrary, and capricious,” the court further said.
Attorney Chad LaVeglia announced the verdict outside the Richmond County courthouse, declaring the city’s now-defunct covid jab mandate to be “null and void.” (Read more)

One of the most disturbing polls taken to date states that “When asked which institutions can help create meaningful change in a divided nation, Americans overwhelmingly believe the government (at the national, state and local levels) is responsible for curing the ills of the United States.” According to this Barna poll, “Half of Americans see the federal government as responsible for making things better—that’s twice the number that hold religious organizations or Christians churches responsible for making real change possible.” Aside from the very fact that Christians and Christian churches are failing at influencing the moral fabric of this country, this Barna poll indicates a very sinister trend that should alarm every American.
In 2019, Gallup reported that some 43% of Americans viewed socialism as a good thing for America. This compared with 25% in 1942. Gallup said “a majority of Democrats have said they view socialism positively in Gallup polling since 2010, including 57% in the most recent measure in 2018.” The Gallup survey, taken in April 2019, also found that nearly 30% of Americans want government distribution of wealth, 35% want government responsibility for wages, and 33% want government control over the economy. Interesting that these percentages coincide with the percentage of the population who are also registered Democrats, although the Gallup survey did not distinguish party affiliation.

New Poll Affirms Most Voters do not Approve of Medical "Gender Transitions" for Minors

A new poll released this week shows that a large majority of American voters oppose the push for children to pursue “gender transitions.”
On Tuesday, the results of a joint poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates and Summit Ministries revealed that most American voters believe that “gender transition” in the form of surgeries and hormones is unjustly pushed onto minors with the motivation to make money off vulnerable children. The survey was distributed October 12-17 to 1,000 likely general election voters.
Sixty-five percent of participants “believe the transgender movement has gone too far by encouraging underage minors to use drugs and surgery to transition to the opposite sex.” Twenty-one percent disagree with this statement and 14% reportedly did not know.
Asked about the reason behind a rise in youth experiencing gender confusion, 69% of those who submitted a response other than not having an opinion stated that “underage minors are being influenced to question their gender due to social media and other cultural influences.” Only 31% of respondents believe children question who they are “without judgment.” (Lifesite News) Read more.

6. Putin Says Russia Will Never Be "Wiped Off Geopolitical Map" As West Plays "Dirty Game" In Ukraine – ZeroHedge
"Russia is not challenging the western elite. We are not trying to become the hegemon," Russian President Vladimir Putin said early in an important speech before the Valdai Discussion Club meeting outside Moscow on Thursday. Each year the Valdai speech is a major one and closely watched by Western officials and media.
This year it was touted with the eye-catching title of "A Post-Hegemonic World: Justice and Security for Everyone." And of course, this year's Valdai meeting comes against the backdrop of the biggest war Europe has seen on its eastern doorstep since WWII.
Putin said in his remarks that Russia merely wants to "defend its right to exist" and "won't let itself be destroyed and wiped off the geopolitical map." This as nuclear rhetoric and threats of defending red lines between Moscow and the West have reached heights not seen since the Cold War.
He repeated a familiar refrain of a crisis unfolding because the Western allies are using Ukraine for their "dirty game" in an ultimate drive for world domination. "Power over the world is what the West has put at stake in the game it plays. This game is certainly dangerous, bloody and I would call it dirty," he said according to a state media translation.
"But in the modern world, sitting aside is hardly an option. He who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind, as the proverb says," he added. Repeating a well-known theme of his, juxtapositioning collapsing unipolar order vs. multipolarity, he said "new centers of power in the multipolar world and the West will have to start talking as equals about our common future."

A panel that advises the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about vaccines voted unanimously last week to recommend the addition of Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) jabs to the official childhood vaccine schedule. The result, many expect, will be a full-fledged exodus of children from American public schools.
In many states, whatever injections the CDC recommends end up becoming a requirement in order to get an education. CDC caught lying about childhood jab schedule – vaccines ARE required in more than a dozen states for children to attend school
One of the few mainstream news personalities to address the matter is Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson who ran a segment about how the CDC’s adoption of covid injections to the childhood jab schedule would end up forcing unvaccinated students to get pricked.

Emperor penguin receives 'threatened' species protections
|

Oct. 25 (UPI) -- The emperor penguin is poised to receive new protections under the Endangered Species Act now that climate change has pushed it into "threatened" status, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
The federal agency announced Tuesday that it will grant the emperor penguin "threatened" protections, as climate change alters the penguins' sea ice habitat required for their survival.
Emperor penguins rely on sea ice to form breeding colonies, forage for food and avoid predators. They are the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species with adults weighing up to 88 pounds and growing as tall as 45 inches.
Classifying the emperor penguin as "threatened" will help to protect the species and conserve its habitat. While "endangered" species face the threat of extinction, "threatened" species could become endangered in the near future, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
"This listing reflects the growing extinction crisis and highlights the importance of the ESA and efforts to conserve species before population declines become irreversible," Martha Williams, Fish and Wildlife Service director, said in a statement. Read More

House Members Introduce Bill to Shield Parental Rights From Government Interference

Members of Congress have introduced a constitutional amendment that would protect a parent's right to "direct the upbringing, education and care of their children." U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) submitted the Parental Rights Amendment this week written to establish parenting a child as a "fundamental right. Parental rights are under attack across our nation," Lesko said.
The joint resolution, H.J. Res. 36, would give parents a right to direct the education of their child, which includes the right "to choose, as an alternative to public education, private, religious or home schools, and the right to make reasonable choices within public schools for one's child," and the government cannot "infringe" on that right. "Sadly, as parents have stood before local school boards and state legislatures across the country to claim that right, they've been met by government officials who declare themselves the ultimate determiners of what's best for children," said Emilie Kaoa, Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) senior counsel and vice president of Advocacy Strategy. This includes growing instances of schools actively hiding controversial curricula and critical information about children's mental and physical health from parents," she added.
The ADF and the Parental Rights Foundation are a part of a coalition of organizations, parents and leaders backing the legislation."The Supreme Court has recognized parental rights for a century, but parental rights are just too important to be left to Supreme Court precedent alone. This Amendment will enshrine these traditional rights in the black-and-white of the Constitution, preserving that parental role for generations to come," said Will Estrada, president of ParentalRights.org and the Parental Rights Foundation. THANK YOU . . . for all the cards, offerings, even flowers, at this difficult time. My two sons, Jimmy and David, have been deeply touched as well by your kindness.
I also want to report that there was a glorious presence of the Spirit of the Lord during Jim's funeral service this past Wednesday at the Quantico National VA Cemetery. We were all amazed and blessed to witness this "visitation." Thank You, Father God, for Your love poured out upon Your people.
In closing, I can only say with Job: "I know that My Redeemer lives!"
