TODAY'S TOP STORY
Court Orders New York City To Reinstate Unvaccinated Employees, Give Backpay

A Staten Island Supreme Court judge ruled Tuesday that New York City cannot fire employees for not getting vaccinated against COVID-19, dealing a blow to Democratic Mayor Eric Adams’ pandemic policy.

Justice Ralph Porzio ordered the city to reinstate all fired employees and grant them backpay, citing the fact that being vaccinated against COVID-19 does not stop an individual from catching or spreading the virus, and thus being vaccinated does not grant enough community-wide benefit to warrant a mandate. The health commissioner “acted beyond his authority” by issuing an indefinite vaccine mandate rather than a temporary one, according to the court.

Adams said earlier this year his administration would not bring back workers who had been fired due to being unvaccinated. Roughly 1,400 workers were ultimately let go, including a number of firefighters and police officers. Adams came under fire for not allowing an exception to the mandate for those workers after he granted one to celebrities who were competing in sports or putting on performances in the city.

“States of emergency are meant to be temporary,” the court said in its ruling. “The question presented is whether the health commissioner has the authority to enact a permanent condition of employment during a state of emergency.”

The court ultimately found that the commissioner did not have that right. (Daily Caller) Read more here.

- Father God, we rejoice at the news of this ruling, and we praise You that justice has been rendered for all fired employees in New York City. Amen!

- "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord." (Psalm 150:6)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Russian hackers attack Knesset website - Israel National News

The Knesset website crashed earlier this week when it was taken down by a Russian hacker, Channel 12 News political analyst Yarom Avraham reported Wednesday evening.

Anyone who tried to visit the site received an error message, and the error was the same for every part of the world and not only for internet users in Israel.

The hack occurred on Sunday night. Knesset personnel identified the breach and restored the website to full functionality within a short time. (Read more)

2. Israel Breaks Two Decade Aliyah Record, Expects 64,000 Immigrants By End of Year - Algemeiner

A record number of immigrants are moving to the Jewish state amid regional conflict and Aliyah efforts, in a trend that Israeli officials expect is more likely to accelerate than reverse.

Nearly 60,000 people immigrated to Israel during the Hebrew calendar year 5782, which began on September 7, 2021 and ended on September 25, 2022, Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption shared in an updated report on Wednesday, surpassing a two-decade high.

By the end of December 2022, Israel may greet more than 64,000 new immigrants, the Ministry stated. In comparison, some 323,000 immigrants made Aliyah in all of the last decade. (Read more)

3. 'I do not hate Arabs. I hate terrorists' - Israel Hayom

The rise of Itamar Ben Gvir is one of the major storylines of the fifth election cycle in little more than three years. The political firebrand from the right flank of the political spectrum is soaring in popularity, with polls showing his Religious Zionist bloc garnering as many as 14 of the Knesset's 120 seats.

That would likely make the Religious Zionist Party the third-largest in the Knesset (behind Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud and Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid) and larger than the State Party by Defense Minister and former Netanyahu challenger Benny Gantz. At 14 seats, the Religious Zionist Party would be twice as large as the former Yamina faction was when its leader, Naftali Bennett, emerged as prime minister in an unlikely alignment after the previous election last year.

The bloc is a combination of three relatively small right-wing parties. They banded together to run in a technical bloc, to ensure that none of the three would fall below the 3.25% vote threshold for entering the parliament. The Religious Zionist bloc is led by former Transportation Minister and longtime parliamentarian Bezalel Smotrich. Several other well-respected MKs including Simcha Rothman and Orit Strock sit high on the candidates list. The list has four women in its top 20 positions. (Read more)

4. Lapid can win election unless the Right votes Likud, Netanyahu warns - Jerusalem Post

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid Party could win the election unless right-wing voters rally around the Likud, party head and former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday as he visited the West Bank in hopes of snagging voters from smaller parties within the nationalistic camp.

Imagine "if the Likud [support] will drop [below Yesh Atid] — it could happen, think about it," Netanyahu told the small audience of Likud supporters at the Givat Harel outpost.

All that is needed, he said, would be "three mandates here and three mandates there and then Yesh Atid will be the largest party and the Likud would be second," he said.

5. UAE warns Netanyahu against government with Ben Gvir and Smotrich - Times of Israel

United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed warned opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu against including far-right lawmakers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich in his government if the Likud leader is tasked with forming a coalition after next week’s election, a senior official familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel on Tuesday.

The message was passed along during a meeting that took place last month when bin Zayed was visiting Israel, the official said, confirming a report in the Axios news site.

Bin Zayed warned that the inclusion of such extremist lawmakers in Netanyahu’s government risked upending ties with the UAE in addition to the Abraham Accords more broadly, the official said. Ties between Israel and the UAE were established two years ago as part of the Abraham Accords. (Read more)

1.Gender-Affirming’ Mastectomies in Children Spike 389% From 2016 to 2019 - Faith Wire

The latest wave of the sexual revolution is undeniably targeting children.
New research published in JAMA Pediatrics chronicles a mind-bending spike in the number of adolescents who underwent “gender-affirming” chest reconstruction surgeries — double mastectomies — in just a few years.

In 2016, roughly 100 children went under the knife for the procedures. Just a handful of years later, in 2019, that number soared to 489 — a 389% increase.

The findings were based on statistics gathered by the Nationwide Ambulatory Surgery Sample, which found 1,130 chest reconstruction surgeries were performed on children from 2016 to 2019. More than 98% of those procedures were masculinizing, meaning they were performed on females who had their breasts removed. Only 1.4% were feminizing mammaplasties, augmenting but not removing breast tissue. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, the children of this country are being led astray, and we know it grieves and angers You. Lord, we are in a spiritual and physical attack on the rights of parents to raise their children to love You and instruct them on Your purpose for them. We will step out in faith to think, pray, and vote for these children. Go before us and establish our steps. Help us and our children to stand in the strength You have given us. In Jesus’ name, amen.

- “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

2. Biden vows to push abortion rights bill if Democrats keep control of Congress - NBC News

President Joe Biden pledged Tuesday to push for an abortion rights bill if Democrats keep control of Congress in the November midterm elections.

Speaking at a Democratic National Committee event in Washington, Biden said that if Democrats both hold the House and add seats to their Senate majority, he would offer make a bill to codify abortion rights his first priority. He said that if it passed, he would aim to sign it into law by the 50th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision in January.

"If you care about the right to choose, then you got to vote. That’s why these midterm elections are so critical — elect more Democratic senators to the United States Senate and more Democrats to keep control of the House of Representatives," he said.
Biden said women across the country lost a "fundamental right" when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June, noting that over a dozen states have passed abortion bans since the decision. (Read more)

- “O God…Awaken your people to a commitment to justice, to the sanctity of marriage and the family, to the dignity of each individual human life, and to the truth that human rights begin when human lives begin, and not one moment later. Lord, we rejoice today that we are citizens of your kingdom. May that make us all the more committed to being faithful citizens on earth. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

3. Americans Trust the Gov’t More than the Church to Make 'Meaningful Change': Barna - Christian Headlines

Americans are twice as likely to say the government is responsible for creating “meaningful change” in the nation than they are to say the same about the church, according to a new Barna survey.

The poll, released this week, found that 52 percent of U.S. adults believe the national government is “responsible for creating meaningful change,” while only 26 percent answered that way about religious organizations and 25 percent about Christian churches. Respondents could list multiple answers. The state government (51 percent) and local government (46 percent) had similar support as the national government.

“When asked which institutions can help create meaningful change in a divided nation, Americans overwhelmingly believe the government (at the national, state and local levels) is responsible for curing the ills of the United States,” a Barna analysis said. “Half of Americans see the federal government as responsible for making things better – that’s twice the number that hold religious organizations or Christian churches responsible for making real change possible.” (Read more)

- Lord God, we are called to be the answer to the worlds problems and this is a serious issue if we are not doing this. We pray that each and every Christian would bow their face to you and seek you on how they can be the light and the salt in their community to reflect the love of Christ. We just pray Lord that your church would arise and be the beautiful bride that we were meant to be for this earth in the mighty name of Jesus amen.

- “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” (Isaiah 60:1-3)

4. Republicans question FBI over Hunter Biden partner’s China ties, ability to ‘infiltrate’ family business - Fox News

House Oversight Committee Republicans are demanding information from the FBI about Hunter Biden's business partner's ties to the Chinese Communist Party and her successful infiltration into President Biden's family's affairs, which they say jeopardizes national security.

James Comer, R-Ky., sent a letter to FBI Director Chris Wray Wednesday morning stating that committee Republicans have documents that "reveal Hunter Biden’s business partner and close personal associate was linked to the Communist Party of China (CCP), her employer before the Biden family."

Republicans say Hunter's partner, JiaQi "Jackie" Bao, provided the president's son information on how to purchase natural gas in the U.S. and sell it to China. In addition, they say documents show that Bao had access to the Biden family's financial information and worked closely with CCP agents. “After infiltrating the Biden family, Bao urged Hunter to encourage Joe Biden to run for president months before he announced and then supplied the Biden family campaign advice related to China," Comer's letter said. - Lord God, this is so unjust that a sitting American president, who is hired specifically to protect the people that he vowed to serve is going behind their backs and trying to sabotage them. This is so wicked and unjust and should not be. So right now we just declare that Biden, his family, and anyone else working in our federal or local governments that is sabotaging their constituents behind her back the sound out and be punished for their crimes in the mighty name of Jesus.

For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. (John 3:20)

5. Georgia mail truck potentially carrying absentee ballots destroyed by fire - New York Post

A U.S. mail truck possibly carrying absentee ballots in Georgia was completely destroyed after it caught fire on Monday. The Baker County Sheriff’s Office shared pictures on Facebook of the Jeep engulfed in flames in a rural area near Pretoria/Tarva Road, approximately ten miles southwest of Albany.

The sheriff’s office said the delivery driver was not injured, but the car is a total loss along with all the mail inside of it. During a press conference on Tuesday, the Secretary of State’s Office addressed the fire and said election officials have already spoken with the election’s director in that area, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

There are 43 outstanding ballots in the county. We’re working with USPS to see if they have images of what might have been on that truck, to reissue them,” Interim Deputy Secretary of State Gabriel Sterling said. “Worst comes to worst, we’ll reissue the 43 ballots, or the county will reissue the 43 ballots, and first across the line for those voters will be the ballots that are accepted.” (Read more)

- In the name of Jesus we forbid Voter Fraud and all plot, schemes, and plans of the enemy to try to disrupt our elections this November and we cast it down to the ground and we call it null and void right now. - “Though they plan evil against you, though they devise mischief, they will not succeed.”

6. Iran selling body armor, helmets, Arash-2 drones to Russia -Ukraine - The Jerusalem Post

Iran is continuing to expand its defense product sales to Russia with helmets, body armor and a new drone, the Ukrainian Intelligence Directorate claimed on Monday.

The Arash-2 suicide drone is reportedly being sold to the Kremlin and will be accompanied by a new group of Iranian advisers to guide the Russian military in the platform's use.

Another group of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) advisors allegedly arrived in the northern Crimean town of Dzhankoi to assist in the operation of Shahed-136 suicide drones and Mohajer-6 reconnaissance drones. (Read more)

7. Russia has notified the U.S. its annual nuclear exercise has begun, U.S. officials say - CBS News

Russia has notified the U.S. that its annual nuclear exercise has begun and that it will include launches of nuclear capable missiles starting Wednesday, according to two U.S. officials.

The annual exercise has been described by U.S. officials as "routine" around this time of year but nevertheless will take place against heightened Russian rhetoric about using nuclear weapons in Ukraine

The Russian "Grom," or Thunder nuclear exercise, typically involves large-scale maneuvers of strategic nuclear forces, including live missile launches, a senior military official said earlier this month. Officials have expected the annual exercise for several weeks but only recently received notification from Russia. (Read more)

9. Pennsylvania House Republicans announce articles of impeachment against Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner - Fox News

Republican members of the Pennsylvania House announced Wednesday morning that they are filing articles of impeachment against Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.

The announcement followed the release of a report earlier in the week from a state House committee that detailed rises in crime and increases in withdrawn and dismissed offenses that Republicans have blamed on Krasner's policies.

"We will do the right thing, where we do not believe the district attorney has," Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff said at a news conference at the Pennsylvania State Capitol building.
The report cited a number of statistics showing dramatic rises in various crimes in recent years, such as a 93% rise in fatal shootings from 2015 to 2020 and a record number of carjackings this year that recently reached 1,000. (Read more)

- Lord God we lift Pennsylvania up to you right now and we command the attacks against the state to cease and desist in Jesus name. We declare that law and order and justice will be restored in this state and we bind lawlessness that it can no longer work in the state in Jesus name amen.

Stupidocrisy: A Peek Into America's Future

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 26, 2022

A peek into America’s future: Once the leader of the free world, morally, spiritually, and economically, America has less than a month’s supply of diesel fuel and only three month’s supply of gasoline as its leadership is transitioning the country from petroleum products to solar, wind and electric power. This has weakened the American military because there was no plan to transition the armed forces from gas and diesel power. China, Russia, Iran, and all Islamic nations are now in position to attack America and divide the spoils. Battery powered cars are no longer viable because these countries control battery ingredients and there are rolling blackouts because power plants have no fuel to produce electricity.

America’s cities are unsafe because of violent crime and petty theft due to leadership defunding the police. Crime has risen exponentially. City Councils have hired social workers to discuss the feelings of criminals, but have only found that the criminals tell the social workers what they want to hear, and go back to their life of crime. Gun violence has skyrocketed because gun restrictions in these areas are so harsh that only criminals have guns. Islamists and communists have set up protective zones in these cities and are ruling residents by their own laws. They have barricaded streets and have checkpoints. Businesses are robbed on a daily basis by massive gangs. There is no one to stop them. Read More

New Scottish fossil sheds light on the origins of lizards

A fossil discovery from Scotland has provided new information on the early evolution of lizards, during the time of the dinosaurs.

The tiny skeleton discovered on the Isle of Skye, called Bellairsia gracilis, is only 6 cm long and dates from the Middle Jurassic, 166 million years ago. The exceptional new fossil comprises a near-complete skeleton in life-like articulation, missing only the snout and tail. This makes it the most complete fossil lizard of this age anywhere in the world.

Bellairsia has a mixture of ancestral and modern features in its skeleton, providing evidence of what the ancestor of today's lizards (which are part of the wider animal group known as "squamates") might have looked like.

The research, a joint project between researchers at the universities of Warsaw, Oxford and UCL, is reported in the journal Nature. First author Dr. Mateusz Tałanda (University of Warsaw and UCL) said, "This little fossil lets us see evolution in action. In  you rarely have the opportunity to work with such complete, well-preserved fossils coming from a time about which we know so little." Read More

A 'Miracle’:

Planned Parenthood Was in For Big Surprise When Ministry Raised $200,000 in Mere Hours to Buy Home Across From Clinic
A Planned Parenthood clinic in Washington state was in for a major surprise when pro-lifers rallied the community to raise enough money to purchase a home across the street. The Planned Parenthood in Bremerton, Washington, had long drawn the ire of pro-life activists, with people on both sides of the divide gathering to rally and protest, according to the Kitsap Daily News. But now the Western Washington Coalition for Life, a group that opposes abortion, has a permanent location right across the street from the clinic. It’s a development its leaders are calling “a miracle.”

For a long time, pro-life members of the group wanted to have a more permanent presence — a location where women could receive information about abortion alternatives. We had looked at this house across from Planned Parenthood for years and thought that, ‘Really, wouldn’t it be nice if we could ever get that house,'” Laurie Coykendall, the group’s executive director, told Kitsap Daily News. Then, something surprising happened. She and others found out on Feb. 26, 2020, the home was up for sale, and they had to act fast. “Excited, Laurie and [fellow prayer warrior] Kerry sensed that God had finally revealed His purpose.

Quickly the pair reached out to supporters,” the Western Washington Coalition for Life website reads. “The house was available, with another offer already on the table! They would need to raise the money fast before their chance was lost.” This sparked a quickly implemented quest to raise the $200,000 needed to purchase the location, an incredible feat accomplished in just six hours. Two years later, the location — known as the House of Life — helps provide women with much-needed resources, including information on adoption and foster care. (CBN) Read More

Bless those whom You will use, according to Your purposes, in the "House of Life" ministry.- In Jesus name, Amen.

Amazing Grace

Words: John Newton
Music: James Carrell and David Clayton

Scripture: I was blind, but now I see! John 9:25

Lyrics:
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.
