House GOP spirals into chaos as third nominee in three weeks drops out of speaker race
|
|
Emmer beat out six other GOP hopefuls on Tuesday morning
|
|
Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., has dropped out of the race for speaker hours after being named House Republicans’ nominee, three sources tell Fox News Digital.
Emmer won a majority of the GOP Conference on Tuesday morning after five rounds of voting, against six other potential candidates.
But it quickly became clear that he did not have enough support to outright win a House-wide vote. With Republicans’ razor-thin majority, a GOP speaker-designate can only lose four members of their own party to win the gavel without Democratic support.
At least 25 Republicans said they would not support Emmer in a House floor vote after he won the title.
More GOP lawmakers indicated after the roll call that the conference needed to move on to a new nominee.
"This morning I voted for Rep. Donalds for speaker. Followed by Rep Johnson. Rep Emmer does not have votes to be speaker and I will be unable to support him on the floor," Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., wrote on social media platform X.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump exerted external pressure against Emmer.
"I have many wonderful friends wanting to be Speaker of the House, and some are truly great Warriors," Trump wrote on his Truth Social app. "RINO Tom Emmer, who I do not know well, is not one of them." (Fox News) Read more here.

Given today's developments, we continue to ask our prayer partners to maintain their 72-hour prayer vigil on behalf of the House membership, until this crisis has been resolved. Our prayer vigil will be maintained until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27th.
Our three prayer points are:
1. Pray for the removal of discouragement, disunity, and hopelessness and replace it with an awesome sense of God's purpose and direction.
2. Pray for enthusiasm, energy and trust of God and each other to come into the Republican House Representatives.
3. Pray for clarity of God's voice and obedience to God's Spirit.
We also now add the following:
4. Bind the spirit of witchcraft that is creating this chaos and is the root cause of this crisis. Call forth forgiveness for those who are speaking curses over this chamber. (Luke 23:34) Remember that it is written that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Eph. 6:12)
5. Take up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and smash the Gordian Knot that has tied up the work of the House of Representatives, by decreeing that it is written:
"The Lord is righteous;
He has cut up the ropes of the wicked." (Psalm 129:4)
6. Using the Lord's prayer, call forth the one of God's choosing to take the Speaker's seat in this chamber and in His timing.
7. Be sure to apply the Blood of the Lamb over yourself and all who are in your household as you complete this prayer assignment. Bind all forms of backlash as you do so.
8. in closing: "Having done all . . . STAND!" Decree PEACE over the House of
Representatives, and that all members will vote according to the mind of Christ.
Amen.

US Government Is Warning Americans Not to
Travel to These Places Right Now
|
|
The State Department issues travel advisory levels for over 200 countries.
|
|
After the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas that has increased tensions across the Middle East, the U.S. State Department has issued a worldwide caution alert for Americans traveling abroad.
The alert was issued because of “ increased tensions in various locations around the world, the potential for terrorist attacks, demonstrations, or violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests.” Before that update, the most recent worldwide caution advisory was sent out in 2022 after a U.S. strike killed al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri.
The State Department issues travel advisory levels for more than 200 countries, with advisories ranging from Level 1 to Level 4. Generally, Level 4 countries have a high risk of unrest, terrorism, or conflict, which means that people likely shouldn't travel there, whereas Level 1 countries mean that U.S. citizens should exercise normal precautions when traveling.
Countries With Level 4 Alerts
At least 21 countries around the world have a Level 4 advisory; they include Haiti, Russia, Ukraine, North Korea, Belarus, Venezuela, Burma (also known as Myanmar), Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, and Israel, among others. A number of African countries also are under the Level 4 advisory. (The Epoxh Times) Read more here.

‘There Could Already Be a Cell in the US Planning
the Next Terrorist Attack’
|
|
Former border commissioner says weak U.S. border security, combined with America's support for Israel, could trigger a new wave of domestic terror activity.
|
|
Hamas's terror attack on Israel is having ripple effects around the world, and the porous U.S. borders are again in the spotlight.
"The same terrorists that just carried out this horrific attack in Israel—their hatred and their unwavering commitment ... to do harm to the United States, is alive and well," Mark Morgan, who served as acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection during the Trump administration, told The Epoch Times.
"Nobody in their right mind can say that our border is secure."
There's a real concern that terrorists have already crossed the U.S. border, particularly within the group of more than 1.6 million illegal immigrants who evaded Border Patrol upon entry and are unknown to officials, Mr. Morgan said.
In the past 11 months, 151 people on the terror watchlist have been arrested by Border Patrol after crossing illegally, while tens of thousands of other "special interest aliens" have entered and been released, he said. "Special interest" means that they hail from countries with direct ties to state-sponsored terrorist groups, including Yemen, Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, and Pakistan.
Another terror attack inside the United States like the 2013 Boston bombing or the 2015 San Bernardino, California, mass shooting and attempted bombing, is imminent, Mr. Morgan warned.
"It's coming. It's coming. No one can predict, but what I will say is, there could already be a cell in the United States planning the next terrorist attack, and we would have no idea," he said. "That's a fair statement; that's not hyperbolic." (The Epoch Times)

Marjorie Taylor Greene to bring resolution to censure Rashida Tlaib, accusing her of 'antisemitic activity'

Greene accuses Tlaib of leading protest on Capitol Hill last week
|
|
EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is introducing a resolution on Tuesday to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., accusing the progressive "Squad" member of "antisemitic activity" and "sympathizing with terrorist organizations."
"The [Democratic] Party has done nothing to hold her accountable. They've done nothing to rein her in, and no one else here has done it. And so I thought it was right to list examples of – this isn't just new. This isn't a one-off thing. This is exactly who she is," Greene told Fox News Digital.
Greene accused Tlaib of leading a pro-Palestinian protest on Capitol Hill last week. Hundreds of demonstrators called for a cease-fire after the terror group Hamas staged an unprecedented, bloody incursion from the Palestinian exclave of Gaza into southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing hundreds of civilians and prompting an ongoing response from the Israeli military.
Tlaib spoke at the protest, during which activists took over much of the ground floor at the Cannon House Office Building.
In those comments, she blamed Israel for bombing a hospital in Gaza – remarks she did not retract after multiple intelligence agencies said that existing proof indicated the blast came from a misfired Hamas rocket.
Greene called the protest "an insurrection" in her resolution.
In its text, Greene also referenced Tlaib’s endorsement of a slogan used by Hamas and the Palestine Liberation Organization. She also recalled Tlaib’s past comments in which she called Israel "an apartheid government."
Tlaib is the only Palestinian-American member of Congress.

1. IDF chief: Gaza ground op delayed due to ‘strategic considerations’ - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces’ much-anticipated ground incursion into the Gaza Strip is being delayed due to “tactical and strategic considerations,” IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said on Tuesday.
“The IDF is ready for the maneuver, and we will make a decision with the political echelon regarding the shape and timing of the next stage,” Halevi said during a press conference held near the border with Gaza.
“We’ve prepared for this. The IDF and the Southern Command have prepared quality offensive plans to achieve the goals of the war,” he added. (Read more)

2. US said concerned that Israel lacks achievable goals for Gaza op and IDF isn’t ready - Times of Israel
The Biden administration is reportedly concerned that Israel lacks achievable military goals for its operations in Gaza, leading US officials to believe that the IDF is not yet ready for a ground incursion.
US officials have held marathon meetings and phone calls with their Israeli counterparts to discuss the ground operation, which many thought the IDF would have launched by Monday — 17 days after the October 7 Hamas massacre, in which over 1,400 people were slaughtered in Israel and roughly 220 were taken hostage into Gaza. In the interim, the IDF has maintained a near-constant aerial bombardment it says is targeting Hamas terrorists and infrastructure, which the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says has left thousands dead.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has held near-daily phone calls with his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant, during which the former has urged the importance of carefully considering how IDF troops conduct the incursion in Gaza, where terrorists will operate from tunnels and densely populated areas, The New York Times reported Monday, citing unnamed US officials. 3. What planet do you live on?’: UN secretary-general blames Israel for Hamas massacre - World Israel News
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres blamed Israel for the Oct. 7 massacre by Hamas, saying the burning, butcherings and beheadings of of 1,400 people, and kidnapping over 200 more, “did not happen in a vacuum.”
“The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing,” he said in a Security Council meeting on the war.
While he acknowledged that “nothing can justify the deliberate killing, injuring, and kidnapping of civilians, or the launching of rockets against civilian targets” he also urged for an immediate ceasefire, leaving Hamas in control of the Gaza.
“All hostages must be treated humanely and released immediately and without conditions,” he said. (Read more)

4. Israel demands UN chief resign after he says Hamas attacks ‘did not occur in vacuum’ - Times of Israel
Israeli officials railed at UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres Tuesday after he appeared to suggest the impetus for the Hamas terror group’s devastating October 7 attack on Israel was the Jewish state’s continued control of Palestinian territories, with the Israeli Ambassador to the UN demanding that he resign.
“It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum,” Guterres said at a UN Security Council meeting on the Israel-Hamas war, which erupted when the terror group ravaged Israeli border communities, killing some 1,400 people, the vast majority of them civilians.
“The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their economy stifled; their people displaced and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing,” Guterres said. (Read more)

5. Israel faces rocket fire from Syria, Hamas fires barrage at Tel Aviv - Jerusalem Post
Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari said that the terrorists used tunnels from the Gaza Strip to open waters in an attempt to infiltrate into Israel.
At least ten Hamas terrorists were killed in waters off the shore of the southern Gaza border town of Zikim after attempting to infiltrate into Israel, Israeli media reported on Tuesday evening.
Heavy gunfire was reported between Israeli security forces and the infiltrating terrorists. An Israeli Air Force helicopter was also reportedly on the scene of the attempted infiltration.
The IDF later said that Israeli fighter jets struck the military infrastructure the terrorists departed Gaza from. (Read more)

1. Russia push for UN Security Council action on Israel, Gaza fails - Reuters
UNITED NATIONS, Oct 16 (Reuters) - A Russian-drafted U.N. Security Council resolution that called for a humanitarian ceasefire in the war between Israel and Palestinian militants Hamas in Gaza failed to pass on Monday, while a vote on a rival Brazilian text was delayed until Tuesday.
The draft resolution received five votes in favor and four votes against, along with six abstentions. A resolution needs at least nine votes in favor and no vetoes by the five permanent members - the United States, Russia, China, France and Britain - to pass.
"Today, the entire world waited with bated breath for the Security Council to take steps in order to put an end to the bloodletting, but the delegations of the Western countries have basically stomped on those expectations," Russia's U.N. ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, told the council after the vote. 2. UN chief says Hamas attacks did not occur in vacuum, sparking Israeli fury - Times of Israel
Israel is protesting after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appeared to try to explain the impetus behind the Hamas terror group’s attacks on Israel at a UN Security Council meeting on the Israel-Hamas.
“It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum,” Guterres said. “The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their economy stifled; their people displaced and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing.”
Guterres added that “the grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the appalling attacks by Hamas. And those appalling attacks cannot justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people.”
Israeli envoy to the UN Gilad Erdan calls Guterres’s remarks “shocking,” “horrible,” and “totally detached from the reality of our region.” “His comments… constitute a justification for terrorism and murder,” Erdan says. “It’s sad that a person with such views is the head of an organization that arose after the Holocaust.” (Read more)

3. Freed Israeli hostage speaks out about terrifying Hamas capture, describes ‘spiderweb’ of tunnels - DML News
One of the two Israeli hostages released yesterday by Hamas is now speaking out about her time as a captive of the Palestinian terrorist group, describing a “spiderweb” of tunnels underneath the Gaza Strip where she was fed only one meal per day.
Yocheved Lifshitz, 85, was taken from Israel on Oct. 7 alongside her 83-year-old husband Oded, who still remains held inside the Gaza Strip. Lifshitz said civilians beat her once she was brought into Gaza before being moved into an extensive tunnel system where Hamas did provide hostages with some medicine and hygiene supplies, according to Fox News Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst.
My mom is telling the horrific stories. She is saying that many, many people — a swarm of people came through the fence,” her daughter, Sharone Lifschitz, told reporters in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, describing the moments in which Yocheved saw the Hamas militants approaching. (Read more)

|
- Oh Holy King, we pray for every hostage, in Jesus name, may they find healing and strength in You to recover from this horrific experience. We pray that the funding of this enormous tunnel system will be revealed for what it was – financial resources from Israel for humanitarian purposes to the Palestinian citizens, but diverted for tunnel building. Holy One, we cry out for every hostage to be protected and delivered back to Israel immediately. May Your angel armies go forth and put the fear of Almighty, Holy and Living God into the captors that they set the captives free immediately, in Jesus name.
- "So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, 'Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go back to its own place, so that it does not kill us and our people.' For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there." (1 Samuel 5:11)

4. Obama Releases Lengthy Statement On Gaza War Slamming Israel’s Response To Hamas Terrorism - The Daily Caller
Former President Barack Obama released a lengthy statement Monday attacking Israel’s response to Hamas terrorism. The former president began his statement by expressing solidarity with Israel before saying that “we should also be clear that how Israel prosecutes this fight against Hamas matters.”
“In particular, it matters — as President Biden has repeatedly emphasized — that Israel’s military strategy abides by international law, including those laws that seek to avoid, to every extent possible, the death or suffering of civilian populations.”
The former president then called on Israel to talk with Palestinian leaders who recognize Israel’s right to exist so that they can then “begin articulating a viable pathway for Palestinians to achieve their legitimate aspirations for self-determination.” (Read more)
|
|
- Oh King, we pray that Israel is faithful to inquire of You regarding the steps they must take in this war. They have broadcast on TV, radio, internet, cell phones and leaflets from the sky to the Palestinians that they must leave because Israel will not allow the enemy to stand or have shelter. Would that Russia would do the same for Ukraine, in order to save lives of innocent civilians.
We come against these statements by Barack Obama and others that do not bless Israel, as we stand in the gap for the land of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. War is a horrible thing, as is the cruel slaughter of innocent people in their own homes. We pray for a speedy and powerful victory for Israel, in Jesus name.

7. Trump warns GOP against tapping 'RINO' Tom Emmer for speaker: 'Tragic mistake!' - Just The News
Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned Republicans against picking Minnesota GOP Rep. Tom Emmer to become the next Speaker of the House. The Republican conference picked Emmer as its speaker designee earlier on Tuesday, slowly eliminating the myriad other contenders in a rapid succession of votes.
He still faces opposition from the conservative wing of the conference and Trump's admonition is likely to bolster opposition to his leadership.
"I have many wonderful friends wanting to be Speaker of the House, and some are truly great Warriors. RINO Tom Emmer, who I do not know well, is not one of them," Trump posted on Truth Social. "He never respected the Power of a Trump Endorsement, or the breadth and scope of MAGA—MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! He fought me all the way, and actually spent more time defending Ilhan Omar, than he did me—He is totally out-of-touch with Republican Voters." (Read more)
- We thank You Father that Rep Tom Emmer has been eliminated from the running for Speaker. We bind and rebuke every plan to snatch this House away from Conservative Republicans and those of integrity, in Jesus name. We pray for President Trump, imprisoned J6 patriots, the 2020 election that has never been adjudicated, the Southern border and the terrorist threats within our nation. We can see how vulnerable we are in the natural, but Holy Spirit, we thank You for being our rear guard, so we can stand strong in every way. Amen.
- "Hear, all you peoples! Listen, O earth, and all that is in it! Let the Lord God be a witness against you, The Lord from His holy temple." (Micah 1:2)

A President Of Contradictions
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 24, 2023
Joe Biden’s Thursday night speech on Israel and Ukraine was hard to watch. Biden, hardly looking presidential, squinted into the teleprompter, struggled to form his words, often slurred his speech, and didn’t appear confident about what he was trying to sell not only the American public, but also the rest of the world. There is not an evil genius in the world—Russian Dictator Vladimir Putin to Iran’s Ayatollah to Turkey’s Erdogan to China’s communist leaders—who could miss the weak state of the American presidency. Biden’s speech was full of contradictions and flawed logic, an unfortunate state of affairs sending mixed signals to both allies and enemies. Biden’s foreign and domestic policy are disastrous.
Biden spent 25 words on the devastation by Hamas on innocent Israeli citizens, saying, “More than 1,300 people slaughtered in Israel, including at least 32 American citizens. Scores of innocents–from infants to elderly grandparents, Israelis, Americans–taken hostage.” He then spent 92 words on how bad the terrorist attack by Hamas must have affected the innocent “Palestinians,” saying, “I also spoke with President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority and reiterated that the United States remains committed to the Palestinian people’s right to dignity and to self-determination. The actions of Hamas terrorists don’t take that right away. Like so many others, I am heartbroken by the tragic loss of Palestinian life, including the explosion at a hospital in Gaza–which was not done by the Israelis. We mourn every innocent life lost. We can’t ignore the humanity of innocent Palestinians who only want to live in peace and have an opportunity.” Read More

Iran-backed militias in Iraq claim responsibility for attack on US military base in Syria
|
|
|
US currently has about 900 troops in Syria and about 2,500 in Iraq
|
|
Iran-backed militias in Iraq have claimed they were responsible for an attack on U.S. forces at a strategic base in southeastern Syria.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of Iranian-backed militias, said Monday that their forces used two drones to attack the al-Tanf garrison near the Jordanian and Iraqi borders, a sensitive location often used by Iranian-backed militants to transport weapons to Hezbollah.
Monday’s attack comes after a string of similar attacks on bases housing U.S. military in Iraq and Syria over the past week. In one, the same group attacked two bases in Iraq with drones, causing minor injuries among U.S. forces.
The U.S. military has maintained a presence at the al-Tanf garrison since training forces as part of a campaign against the Islamic State group. The U.S. currently has about 900 U.S. troops in Syria.
Two U.S. defense officials confirm to Fox News a base housing U.S. troops in Syria was attacked by drones this morning. No injuries have been reported. Pentagon Press Secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder later confirmed the attack. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, You are the God who hears and who answers our prayers. We thank You that none of our troops were injured or killed in this drone attack. Even as the war between Hamas and Israel becomes more dangerous by the day, we lift up all the nations that surround Israel, asking for Your shalom of peace to serve as a shield around each one. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer. Amen and amen.
- "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." (John 15:7)
Second prayer:
- Father, we pray for our troops in Syria and also those who are still in Iraq. We ask for Your hedge of protection over them and divine wisdom and discernment so they know when there is trouble coming and what to do about it. We pray that there are sufficient resources available for our troops to fight with and to deal with the conflicts, in Jesus name.
- "For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;" (Proverbs 2:6-7)

(From a friend of our ministry):
I just received a message that there is an organization called Ohev Yisrael (Love Israel) that is asking for the names of Israeli soldiers so they can pray for them.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN TO GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!
This is ISIS, a Palestinian organization, so please DO NOT give out information or names, and certainly not online. They are actually mapping the IDF and asking what equipment they need.
This is a threat to the security of Israel and the IDF. Please forward this alert to everyone you know.
It's absolutely terrifying.
Please spread the word!
Thank you!

Egypt’s pyramids continue stunning experts,
as new hidden rooms discovered
|
|
Despite years of research into Egypt’s archaeological treasures, researchers have continued to uncover new secrets and mysteries from the ancient sites, according to a statement made from the Julius-Maximilians-Universität of Würzburg on September 27.
New rooms were discovered in the Sahura’s Pyramid by researchers from Egypt and Germany. The efforts, which were led by Egyptian-German Egyptologist Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, helps to shed light on the architecture of the pyramid of the second king of the Fifth Dynasty (2400 BC) and the first king to be buried at Abusir.
The excavations began in 2019, when researchers started work on stabilizing the substructure so that investigations could safely begin. The team were able to secure the burial chambers of King Abusir for the first time. Read More

Texas Church Reports ‘Record-Breaking Number of Baptisms’ as Claims of Spiritual Revival Swirl Across America
|
|
A Texas church is reporting a “record-breaking number of baptisms” for the third consecutive year. But rather than merely focusing on the numbers, Champion Forest in Houston, Texas, noted each of the “755 souls publicly declaring their faith in Christ” represents something far bigger than mere statistics. These aren’t just numbers,” the church said in a post on X. “They are lives forever changed, families transformed, and testimonies of God’s relentless grace.” The message continued, “We want to extend our deepest thanks to every single person who has been a part of this amazing journey. Your prayers, your service, and your love for others have all contributed to the unfolding of this divine narrative.” Champion Forest also shared a quick video recapping some of the amazing baptisms and faith moments that unfolded at the church over the past year — a powerful recap of these extraordinary experiences. “Each of these images offer glimpse of the joy and spiritual renewal that has swept through Champion Forest this year,” the post read. “May these moments not only serve as a reflection of the past but also fuel our passion for the year ahead.”
The Champion Forest experience is certainly anecdotal, though it appears to be part of a broader pattern happening in faith communities across America. While culture is moving further from faith and moral chaos is raging, pockets of spiritual resurgence and even revival appear to be unfolding. Adrienne Bankert, former “Good Morning America” correspondent and weekend host who now anchors “Morning in America” on NewsNation, recently told CBN Digital the prevalent narrative faith is dying or diminishing isn’t quite accurate. “To me, there’s a resurgence of faith at this time,” she said, noting the current chaos unfolding economically, with immigration, and on other fronts is “unlike anything we’ve ever seen in our country’s history.” Bankert added, “We have more fear, we have more divisiveness politically, and then we come off the heels of this global epidemic.” She said these “life-shaking, altering” events have brought many people to the end of themselves, and, in turn, these individuals are now looking for something deeper and more profound. - Father, we thank You for what You are doing within hearts across America! We are so grateful for those who have declared faith in Jesus Christ and are revealing surrendered-hearts through Baptism. We pray for a harvest of new believers seeking Your presence daily and thirsting for Your Word. In the name of Jesus we declare newly baptized believers will bring others into the Kingdom of God through evidence of transformed lives; We proclaim prodigals are coming home and revival will spread all across America! In the powerful Name of Yeshua-Amen
- "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." (Isaiah 43:19)

"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised
In the city of our God,
In His holy mountain.
2 Beautiful in [a]elevation,
The joy of the whole earth,
Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north,
The city of the great King."
(Psalm 48:1,2)

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Marching to Zion

Words: Isaac Watts
Music: Robert Lowry
Scripture: Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion. Jeremiah 31:6
Lyrics:
Come, we that love the Lord,
And let our joys be known;
Join in a song with sweet accord,
Join in a song with sweet accord
And thus surround the throne,
And thus surround the throne.
Refrain
We’re marching to Zion,
Beautiful, beautiful Zion;
We’re marching upward to Zion,
The beautiful city of God.
The sorrows of the mind
Be banished from the place;
Religion never was designed
Religion never was designed,
To make our pleasures less,
To make our pleasures less.
Refrain
Let those refuse to sing,
Who never knew our God;
But favorites of the heavenly King,
But favorites of the heavenly King
May speak their joys abroad,
May speak their joys abroad.
Refrain
The God that rules on high,
And thunders when He please,
Who rides upon the stormy sky,
Who rides upon the stormy sky,
And manages the seas,
And manages the seas.
Refrain
