TODAY'S TOP STORY
US Has Only 25 Days of Diesel Supply; Shortage Could Cripple Economy
The United States is down to 25 days of diesel supply as a top White House official declared the stockpile levels to be “unacceptably low.”

Data provided by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) show that diesel stockpiles are at their lowest level for October in records that date back to 1993, according to a Bloomberg News analysis. EIA data show that the United States, as of Oct. 14, has 25.4 days of supply—down from 34.2 days of supply four weeks prior.

National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, a top adviser to President Joe Biden, told Bloomberg News last week that current diesel levels are “unacceptably” low and that “all options are on the table” to increase supplies.

The diesel crunch comes just over two weeks before the November 2022 midterm elections and will likely drive up prices even more. Diesel is the fuel used by freight trains and commonly used by long-haul truckers to transport goods and food. (Epoch Times) Read more here.
- Father, our nation is in serious trouble from an administration that sees only their own agenda instead of the American people. We repent for the sin that has surrounded our lives. Without diesel, trucks, freight barges, heavy equipment, farm vehicles cannot move. You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and we trust in You to take care of us in this horrific situation.

- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”      (Proverbs 3: 5-6)

EXCLUSIVE:

GOP Could Gain Up to 7 Seats in Senate, 50 Seats in House, Gingrich Says

The Republicans could see large gains in both chambers of Congress in November, according to Epoch Times contributor and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

“I would say we’ll be between plus three and plus seven … in the Senate; and we’ll be between plus 20 and plus 50 in the House, with the most likely number being plus 44,” Gingrich told The Epoch Times.

The GOP needs to flip five seats to win back House control. In the evenly-divided Senate, Republicans need to win one more seat to claim the majority.

With the November election day fast approaching, Democratic optimism appears to be fading as GOP candidates close in on key races across the country.

Key Voter Concerns

Crime, inflation, border security, and “woke policies,” he said, all “coming together” against Democrats’ favor.

“When you have sort of insane left-wing Democrats who believe that you don’t need prisons and that things can be dealt with by just being nice to murderers, I think the average person just thinks this is crazy,” he said, pointing to the crime concerns in New York as an example. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we are so encouraged by this report, but we know that we absolutely must keep "pressing in" until all the votes are in and all the ballots have been counted. We continue to pray for an honest election, with no fraud. In Your Holy Name, amen and amen.

- "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him." (I John 5:14,15)

Britain’s new Prime Minister
Britain’s new Prime Minister

Former Treasury chief Rishi Sunak is set to become Britain's next prime minister after winning the Conservative leadership race Monday — and now faces the huge task of stabilizing the party and country at a time of economic and political turbulence.

Sunak will be Britain's first leader of color, and the nation's third leader just this year. He will take over as prime minister from Liz Truss, who quit last week after 45 tumultuous days in office, leaving a staggering economy and a shell-shocked and divided party.

His only rival, Penny Mordaunt, conceded and withdrew after failing to reach the nomination threshold of 100 Conservative lawmakers needed to stay in the race.

In his first public statement after he became the Conservative leader, Sunak said the country faces a "profound economic challenge," and he promised to work for "stability and unity." He said he would make it his "utmost priority" to unite the party and the country.

Sunak's victory is historic: He is the first British prime minister of South Asian heritage, the first Hindu to hold the post and the youngest for 200 years.

His challenge is enormous as he tries to unite a demoralized and divided party that trails far behind the opposition in opinion polls, and seeks to shore up an economy reeling after Truss' brief, disastrous experiment in libertarian economics. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that Your hand of blessing would rest upon England, as she goes forward to pursue the destiny that You have carved out for her. We pray that their new Prime Minister would "stay the course," even as he is the first Hindu to occupy this position. We ask this in Your Name, amen and amen.

- "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. " (I Timothy 2:1-4)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israel heads to COP27 without official backing for former PM Bennett’s net zero vow - Times of Israel

With just days to go before the UN’s COP27 climate conference kicks off in Egypt, the Environmental Protection Ministry said Monday that it had failed to officially anchor a verbal pledge made a year ago by then-prime minister Naftali Bennett that Israel would reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Bennett made this commitment a year ago, just before COP26 in Glasgow, alongside Energy Minister Karine Elharrar. He told those around him that the pledge would have to be made sooner or later anyway.

But at an Environmental Protection Ministry briefing on Monday for those going to COP27 in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, Environmental Protection Minister Tamar Zandberg revealed that the Justice Ministry had ruled against passing a government decision on such a matter so close to the elections next week. (Read more)

2. Zelensky says Russia-Iran alliance wouldn’t have happened had Israel helped Ukraine - Israel National News

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tells an Israeli conference that Russia wouldn’t have been collaborating militarily with Iran if Jerusalem hadn’t decided not to send military aid to Kyiv.

The Russia-Iran alliance would not have happened if Israeli leaders had agreed to help protect Ukraine’s skies, he tells a conference organized by the Haaretz daily, speaking on video.

Zelensky adds that the Moscow-Tehran alliance will likely see Russia help Iran develop its nuclear program in exchange for the drones supplied by the Islamic Republic.

He whether Israel is “with the democratic world, which is fighting side by side against the existential threat to its existence? Or with those who turn a blind eye to Russian terror, even when the cost of continued terror is the complete destruction of global security?” (Read more)

3. Lapid tells Dutch PM: ‘Israel will become a major supplier of gas to Europe’ - World Israel News

Prime Minister Yair Lapid on Monday met with Prime Minister of The Netherlands Mark Rutte at the Prime Minister’s office in Tel Aviv. The main points on their agenda included Europe’s energy needs and the ongoing unrest in Iran.

Lapid spoke about the upcoming signing of the controversial new maritime border agreement with Lebanon. He also declared that Israel would bring in a great deal of revenue from the sale of natural gas to Europe in the short term, but admitted that it was also incumbent upon the nations of the world to continue to develop alternative energies that do not produce greenhouse emissions in order to deal with the climate crisis.

“On Thursday, we are going to sign a historic agreement with Lebanon,” said Lapid. “And Israel will become, in the near future, a major supplier of [natural] gas to Europe. And in the meantime, we have to work together to find medium-term and long-term solutions for green energy and renewable energy.”

Lapid called the new deal “historic,” but Israel’s opposition sees it in a different light. (Read more)

4. Ben-Gvir leaked recording: Netanyahu 'used us, stabbed us in the back' - Jerusalem Post

Opposition head Benjamin Netanyahu "used and stabbed" the Religious Zionists Party in the back, MK Itamar Ben-Gvir claimed in a recording leaked only 24 hours removed from another leak in which MK Bezalel Smotrich called Netanyahu the "liar of all liars."

In the leaked recordings, Ben-Gvir also lamented Netanyahu's refusal to stand on the same stage with the Otzma Yehudit head during a Sukkot event in Kfar Chabad.

"They didn't just ask to not get a photo...[the Likud] wanted me off stage," he said in the recording obtained by N12. "We are about to become political partners, for God's sake." (Read more)

5. New British PM has called Jerusalem Israel’s ‘historic capital,’ vowed to fight BDS - Times of Israel

Rishi Sunak, who will be the new British new prime minister after becoming Conservative party leader on Monday, is considered a strong supporter of Israel and a friend of the UK’s Jewish community.

At a Conservative Friends of Israel event in August, Sunak declared Jerusalem is “indisputably the historic capital” of Israel and that there was a “very strong case” for moving the UK embassy from its current location in Tel Aviv.

“It’s something I’d like to do,” he said.

But Sunak, a former Treasury chief, also acknowledged “sensitivities” over the issue. (Read more)

1. New York judge rules voting by mail due to COVID fears is unconstitutional | Fox News

A judge in New York ruled that voting by mail over fears of the coronavirus is unconstitutional.

The Democrat-controlled legislature "appears poised to continue the expanded absentee voting provisions of New York State Election Law … in an Orwellian perpetual state of health emergency and cloaked in the veneer of ‘voter enfranchisement,'" Saratoga County Supreme Court Justice Dianne Freestone, a Republican, wrote in her ruling Friday.

The 28-page ruling ordered local election boards to stop counting absentee ballots they’ve already received and to "preserve" them until after Election Day on Nov. 8 or after the resolution of a lawsuit filed by Republicans in the state. The ruling does not invalidate ballots that have already been mailed.

In 2020, delays, litigation and mistakes by election boards that faced a flood of absentee ballots led to long waits for election results. The Democratic-controlled legislature eventually passed a law allowing for early counting of absentee voting.

- Lord, we pray that this continual use of “emergency powers” will cease entirely from the land.  We ask for Your hand over the New York elections, and that all legitimate votes will be counted, while illegitimate ones be dropped.

- “Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.” (Proverbs 10:2)

2.California court rules in favor of Christian baker who refused to bake cake for lesbian wedding | Fox News

A California court ruled in favor of a Christian baker Friday following a years-long legal battle after she refused to bake a custom cake for a lesbian wedding in 2017, citing her religious beliefs.
"We applaud the court for this decision," Thomas More Society Special Counsel Charles LiMandri said in a statement. "The freedom to practice one’s religion is enshrined in the First Amendment, and the United States Supreme Court has long upheld the freedom of artistic expression."
Cathy Miller, a cake designer who owns the popular Tastries bakery in Bakersfield, California, won what her lawyers at the Thomas More Society called "a First Amendment victory" when Judge Eric Bradshaw of the Superior Court of California in Kern County ruled against California's Department of Fair Housing and Employment, which had brought the lawsuit against her.

- Lord, we thank You for this ruling and pray that You will not allow the enemy to steal this victory from her.

- “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)

3. Senate polling averages 17 days from Election Day indicate Republicans may win majority | Fox News

Polling averages and voting models indicate a bump in Republicans' support in Senate races heading into the midterm elections.

RealClearPolitics is projecting the GOP is on track to flip Senate races in Arizona, Georgia and Nevada, though its polling average shows Democrat Raphael Warnock leading Republican Herschel Walker in Georgia.

On Monday, the New York Times/Siena College's latest poll showed Republicans in a four-point lead, 49% to 45%, over Democrats when voters were asked whom they favored to represent them in Congress. Just last month, the Times/Siena's September poll had Democrats with a one-point edge over Republicans.

- Lord, we ask that nothing stand in the way of Your perfect will over the elections. Let only those who do righteously be elected, and let no falsehoods prevail.

- “For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.” (Psalm 5:12)

4.Georgia election official asks Biden, Abrams how many records they need to break to get apology | Fox News

Continued record voter turnout in Georgia following the Biden administration’s lawsuit against the state alleging racist voting practices and the president’s accusation that the system is "Jim Crow 2.0" has at least one Georgia election official looking for an apology from the administration.

"How many turnout records do we have to break before Stacey Abrams and President Biden apologize to Georgia?" Gabriel Sterling, Chief Operating Officer of the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, told Fox News Digital in a statement Friday after his office released numbers showing a continued surge in voting in the Peach State.

The state of Georgia has experienced a record early voting turnout since the first day of early voting began on Monday, Georgia’s Secretary of State Office said in a press release this week

- Lord, we can’t fathom how many times lies and deception are used to attack the law in Georgia when there are already record turnouts. We cover the lies with truth, and ask that the Holy Spirit work to change hearts and minds.

- “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” (Proverbs 12:22)

5.Elite NYC prep schools aim woke indoctrination at parents too (nypost.com)

New York City private schools are pushing woke training on parents in a Soviet-like effort to keep their kids on message — with potentially serious consequences for those who don’t fall in line.

At least five elite schools — where yearly tuitions hover around $60,000 — are forcing parents to undergo both mandatory and “optional” training in “anti-racism” and “diversity, equity and inclusion.” The controversial theories demand a hyper-focus on race and privilege and have been accused by critics of demonizing white people.

Prospective parents at The Brearley School, an all-girls school on the Upper East Side, are informed on their application that “parents are expected to attend two diversity, equity, inclusion and antiracism (DEIA) workshops per school year,” and write a 500-word essay demonstrating their fealty to those values.

If their daughters are accepted, parents are then expected to sign a pledge vowing to support the new religion.

- Lord, we say no in the Name of Jesus to this evil plan. There is no truth apart from You, so we bind and rebuke every other “religion” used to destroy our children.

- “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)

6.Chinese Lab’s Purchase of US Land for Primate Breeding Facility Draws Scrutiny (theepochtimes.com)

A Chinese firm’s purchase of land in Florida to build a breeding facility for lab monkeys is drawing scrutiny over the company founders’ ties to the Chinese military.

JOINN Laboratories CA Inc., the California subsidiary of a biotech firm headquartered in Beijing, in July purchased more than 1,400 acres of land for building a primate facility in Florida’s Levy County, county records show.

With a combined value of $5.5 million, the 10 parcels of land purchased from L & T Cattle & Timber represents one of the largest known Chinese acquisitions of U.S. land in recent years. While construction has not begun, the deal has attracted public attention at a time of heightened concern about Chinese investments in the United States over security and other risks.

The purchaser’s parent company JOINN Laboratories describes itself as a leader in non-clinical drug screening in China. According to its website, the company was founded in 1995 and employs over 1,500 staff. It has wholly-owned subsidiaries in major Chinese and U.S. cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and Boston.

- Lord, we ask that You find a way to stop these actions of China and prevent them from ever occurring again. We cover this plan with the Blood of Jesus and declare that “no weapon formed against us shall prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17)

7.Specially Trained Capitol Hill Staffers to Observe Closely Contested Elections (theepochtimes.com)

An unspecified number of Capitol Hill aides are being deployed as “official House election observers in close, or particularly cumbersome congressional elections, in the coming weeks,” according to House Administration Committee Ranking Member Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.).

The administration panel is responsible for exercising “the House’s constitutional responsibility to serve as the final ‘Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its Members,'” Davis told officials in identical October 20 letters (pdf) sent to all 50 states.

“While the Constitution grants the House of Representatives this responsibility and authority, the Constitution grants the states primary authority over the administration of federal elections. Committee Republicans respect the limited nature of Congress’ role in this space and are committed to safeguarding states’ vital constitutional authority,” Davis wrote.

“As in past elections, the House will use this legal authority to credential and deploy trained congressional staffers to serve as official House election observers in close, or particularly cumbersome congressional elections, in the coming weeks. This allows us to prepare for the possibility that a candidate could later contest the race in the House of Representatives,” Davis continued.

- Lord, we pray that the elections on November 8 will be true and fair, that nothing will cause fraud. Let only truth prevail for these votes.

- “Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.” (Ephesians 6:14)

8.Biden 'not competent' to be president after appearing to zone out during MSNBC interview: Rep. Claudia Tenney | Fox News

Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., joined "Sunday Morning Futures" to discuss President Joe Biden's cognitive abilities after his latest sit-down interview has some critics wondering about his ability to serve. Tenney warned that the question is "serious," arguing that he is "not competent" enough to be the president of the United States after appearing to zone out during an MSNBC interview this weekend.

CLAUDIA TENNEY: This is really sad, but he reminds me of a Madame Tussauds wax figure. He comes out, and they turn him on, and he delivers talking points that are presented to him by his shadow government, the staff behind him. And he's really showing that he's not competent to do this most important job in our nation. And I really, I joined on a letter with Congressman Randy Jackson about making him subject to a cognitive test … this is serious stuff. We've got enemies around the world. You've been interviewing tremendous people about China, about what's happening in the war in Europe, which is unprecedented. We've got to start looking into whether Joe Biden is actually capable of being the president. I think he's not. I think we should consider all of these avenues.

- Lord, we repent for every action that left this man pretending to run this country.  America belongs to You, not to the radical leftists. We invoke Your Word and Your Name over this country and say absolutely NO to the enemy.

- “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”  (John 14:13)

9.Nearly a dozen of the most vulnerable 2022 midterm candidates face scrutiny over stock trading law violations | Fox News

Several vulnerable members of Congress facing tough re-elections in the November midterm elections have come under greater scrutiny for possibly violating congressional stock trading transparency rules.

Dozens of politicians of both parties who are serving in the House of Representatives or the Senate have been caught up in allegations of violating insider trading or disclosure rules, and Congress declined to work toward tougher restrictions before the midterm elections.

But several of the most vulnerable Democrats and Republicans in Congress have been accused of potentially violating the rules. Whether potential violations of the 2012 Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act will have any effect on the midterm elections is unclear, but the violations give fuel to claims that politicians are corrupt.

- Lord, we pray for accountability for those who have broken this law. We ask that Your truth pervades the entire Congress and Senate,  helping them understand that greed is fueling their actions and it is sin. Their focus should be the American people.

- “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.” (1 Timothy 6:10a)
10..State Dept defends $20K grant for drag shows in Ecuador | Fox News

The State Department is defending a $20,600 grant for a cultural center in Ecuador to host "drag theater performances," saying it gives LGBTQ people an outlet "to express themselves freely and safely" in the South American country.

Fox News Digital first reported on Wednesday that the State Department awarded the grant on Sept. 23 to the Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano (CEN), a non-profit organization supported by the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Ecuador, to "promote diversity and inclusion" in the region.

The project at CEN, which started Sept. 30 and runs until Aug. 31, 2023, will include "3 workshops," "12 drag theater performances," and a "2-minute documentary," according to the State Department’s grant listed on the USASpending.gov website.

- Lord, the US is promoting sin even in other nations. The lies of  “diverstiy and inclusion” continue to be the vehicles for spiritual disaster. We bind this action in the mighty Name of Jesus and pull it down by the power of His shed Blood.

“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)

The Cure That's Worse Than The Cause

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 24, 2022

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously on October 20 to recommend the Centers for Disease Control add COVID 19 vaccines to the 2023 schedule of child and adolescent immunization schedules. The Moderna, Pfizer, and Novavax serums were accepted by the ACIP despite the “vaccines” being experimental, exponentially waning effectiveness, and the very fact that they do not prevent the infection of COVID 19 nor the spread of it. Additionally, children and adolescents were least affected by COVID during the pandemic. Yet, academics on the ACIP believe the serums will prevent “serious disease and death,” which is the big pharma narrative.

Moderna has launched a full-scale advertising campaign for its COVID vaccine. In August-September, Moderna sponsored the US Open. According to Medical Marketing and Media, “Moderna is sponsoring the U.S. Open tennis tournament to show fans its work doesn’t stop at vaccinating people against COVID-19.” September 9 was Moderna night, when the company displayed digital advertisements through the stadium in Queens, NY during the men’s second semifinals match. Moderna encouraged spectators to visit Moderna’s website to learn more about mRNA science. Those watching on ESPN from home saw an ad featuring tennis legend Billie Jean King as she promotes mRNA and Moderna. Commercials can be seen during major prime time network programming as Moderna is sponsoring Jeopardy. Read More

Here come the booms: SpaceX planning first
Falcon Heavy launch in 3 years

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. – After a three-year absence, SpaceX's powerful Falcon Heavy rocket has an upcoming launch from Kennedy Space Center.

SpaceX is targeting Oct. 31 to launch the Falcon Heavy with a U.S. Space Force mission. It will mark the first launch of the heavy lift vehicle and triple-booster landing since 2019. The private company, led by CEO Elon Musk, has been busy launching its workhorse rocket, the Falcon 9, on dozens of missions a year. But the Falcon Heavy is capable of launching much heavier payloads and is a unique experience to see in person.

After years of development, SpaceX conducted a demonstration mission on Feb. 6, 2018 of its new mega-rocket. Launching a new rocket is risky, and ahead of the liftoff, Musk gave the rocket a 50/50 chance of survival.

Still, with all 27 Merlin engines firing, producing more than 5 million pounds of thrust, the Falcon Heavy launched successfully. Unlike the Falcon 9, which has one first-stage booster, the 230-foot-tall Falcon Heavy rocket has three side-by-side boosters, each with nine engines creating an enormous roar for liftoff.  Read More

Hobby Lobby Founder Gives Away Ownership:                                    'I Chose God'
The founder of Hobby Lobby, the popular Christian arts and crafts store is giving away ownership to "choose God." In an op-ed, Founder and CEO David Green wrote for Fox New that he had to truly contemplate the source of his success. After nearly losing the business at one point, God showed him that He was the one who have provided for him. Green says, "In that vein, I'd encourage every leader to consider their source of truth. What is the basis upon which they make decisions? Is it just themselves, or even a leadership team?"

He has been vocal over the years about his strong faith in Jesus. He attributes the source of truth has prayer and the Bible. His heart is to see leaders around the world follow God and seek after His will. If business owners around were as generous in their giving as Green, the world would be a better place. "But perhaps the biggest challenge is to ask the question of whether you are an owner or a steward—a manager of what you've been entrusted with," he says.

In Genesis 39:2 it says, "The Lord was with Joseph, so that he became a prosperous man. He was in the house of his master, the Egyptian." His master saw that God was with him and prospered what Joseph set his hands too which granted him favor in the Egyptians eyes. God even blessed the Egyptian's house based on the fact that Joseph was there. Green and his wife's goal since launching Hobby Lobby was to honor God in all they did. "We worked hard and God gave the results. As we were blessed by God, we saw it as a great privilege to give back. We've been able to provide hope through supporting ministries and planting churches all over the world," Green says. (CBN) Read More Here.
- Lord, we ask that You would continue to bless this man of God who understands that all He has comes from You! May David Green be used for Your purposes that many prosperous business owners and leaders will also share that their success has come through honoring God first. May Your people be found living as good stewards of what You have faithfully provided. In Jesus powerful name, Amen.

- "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)

Classic Hymns

O How I Love Jesus

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words: Frederick Whitfield
Music: Traditional American melody

Scripture: Because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Lyrics:
There is a name I love to hear,
I love to speak its worth;
It sounds like music in mine ear,
The sweetest name on earth.

Refrain
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!

It bids my trembling heart rejoice;
It dries each rising tear;
It tells me, in a still small voice,
To trust and never fear.

Refrain

Jesus, the name I love so well,
The name I love to hear!
No saint on earth its worth can tell,
No heart conceive how dear.

Refrain

This name shall shed its fragrance still
Along this thorny road,
Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill
That leads me up to God.

Refrain

And there, with all the blood-bought throng,
From sin and sorrow free,
I’ll sing the new eternal song
Of Jesus’ love to me.
