4,900 churches reach across denominational lines to share the Good News with 731,000 in Zambia
In a demonstration of Church unity, the Luis Palau Association partnered with more than 4,900 churches across denominational lines to reach 731,000 people across five cities in Zambia. The nationwide evangelistic campaign, dubbed Love Zambia Festival, trained tens of thousands of Christians and reached hundreds of thousands of individuals with the Good News of Jesus Christ, culminating in a massive three-day festival in the capital city of Lusaka. The five-month campaign featured gatherings throughout the region, spreading the Gospel of Jesus in different groups and gatherings, including local prisons, eyeglass and medical clinics, a women's dinner gala, sports clinics, school outreaches and a business and civic leaders event. At the Mwembeshi Correctional Facility, Palau shared the Gospel with 1,600 inmates where 1,098 responded and surrendered their lives to Christ, according to organizers. Palau said he was amazed by the number of people choosing to follow Jesus daily.  “It was such a receptive group (the inmates). They are engaged in the Gospel message, and actively dancing to the worship music. These crowds can be tough, but in this group, you could feel a sense of joy as they laughed and joked, fully tuned in to the message,” posted Palau on the Luis Palau Facebook page.

The culmination of the outreach events was a three-day festival at the National Heroes Stadium on Sept. 13-15. The Love Zambia Festival and ministry week reached more than 374,900 people in person with the Good News and led more than 154,600 people in a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. The three-day festival featured music and live performances from Don Moen, Pompi, Ephraim, Mag 44, Temwani, Nathan Nyirenda, and more. In addition to the musical line-up from the mainstage, the family-friendly event incorporated a children's area, which included carnival rides, bounce houses, and a special Gospel program for children, as well as action sports demonstrations (featuring The Stunt Dudes).  Andrew Palau highlighted the program each night by sharing a Gospel message from the main stage and challenging those in the crowd to give their life to Jesus Christ. Tens of thousands of local believers (who were trained by the Palau team) helped counsel and follow up with each new believer at the festival. Bibles for the World also played an important role by providing 310,000 Gospels of John and 30,000 New Testaments in three languages to help new believers grow in Christ. - Abba, we lift a shout of PRAISE for unity among churches and the body of Christ spreading the gospel to the nations! We celebrate the hundreds of thousands who committed their lives to Jesus. Continue to pour blessings upon "Luis Palau Ministry" and "Bibles for the World" as they spread the Good News globally. We bless and glorify Your Name for the harvest of believers being brought into the Kingdom and we ask for abundant blessings upon our brothers and sisters as they mentor and bring hope to the world! In the powerful Name of Yeshua- Amen.

- "And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14)

‘Serious Breach’: Alleged US Intel Docs Outlining Israel’s Plan To Strike Iran Leaked

Leaked U.S. intelligence documents allege to outline how Israel plans to strike Iran soon, according to multiple reports.

Israel is expected to retaliate against Iran after the terror-supporting nation launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles into Israeli territory on Oct. 1; most of those missiles were intercepted. The timing and nature of Israel’s plan to retaliate against Iran have been shrouded in mystery, until now — U.S. intelligence documents that were leaked publicly in recent days revealed Israel’s preparatory actions ahead of the attacks, according to several reports.

It isn’t clear how the documents were leaked or who was behind the move to release them publicly. An investigation has been opened to determine how the documents were leaked, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson confirmed Sunday, according to Reuters.

“If it is true that Israeli tactical plans to respond to Iran’s attack on Oct. 1 have been leaked, it is a serious breach,” Mick Mulroy, former CIA officer, told CNN. “Future coordination between the U.S. and Israel could be challenged as well. Trust is a key component in the relationship, and depending on how this was leaked that trust could be eroded.” (Daily Caller) http:// https://dailycaller.com/2024/10/20/alleged-us-intel-docs-outlining-israel-strike-iran-leaked/

- Lord, we pray that You will ferret out whoever leaked this sensitive information and stop them from ever doing it again. We ask for truth throughout the investigation and that You would bring a heart change to those who seem to hate Your people.

- “When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”          (Prov. 21:15)

"US House speaker confirms probe into intelligence leak on Israel’s Iran attack plans"

The United States is investigating the leak of a pair of highly classified intelligence documents describing Israel’s preparations for a retaliatory strike on Iran, House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Sunday.

The documents appear to have been prepared by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, describing US interpretations of Israeli Air Force and Navy planning based on satellite imagery from October 15-16.

They began circulating last week on the Telegram messaging app. Israel has been planning a response to a ballistic missile barrage carried out by Iran on October 1, its second direct attack on Israel in six months. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

Kamala Ripped For Agreeing With Far-Left Protester About ‘Genocide’ In Gaza
Vice President Kamala Harris agreed with a far-left protester late last week who falsely claimed that Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza is a “genocide.”
The moment came when Harris was speaking Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee when a student, identified by the New York Post as being “pro-Hamas,” interrupted her event.
When Harris said that she was invested in the students, the heckler fired back: “And in genocide right? Billions of dollars in genocide. Billions of dollars in genocide.”
“I’m speaking right now,” Harris responded. “I know what you’re speaking of. I want the ceasefire. I want the war to end. And I respect your right to speak but I am speaking right now.”
“But what about the genocide? What about the genocide though?” the protestor, wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh, shouted as security began to escort him from the room. (Daily Wire) Read more.

- Father, we pray for a move of repentance and truth to come over both Kamala Harris and all of the students who are deceived about Israel.

DOJ deploys district elections officers to handle 'threats and intimidation'
The Justice Department is deploying district elections officers across the nation ahead of Election Day to ensure poll workers can "do their jobs free from threats and intimidation."
The elections officers are expected to work in coordination with the Justice Department's Election Threats Task Force, which was created in June 2021 by Attorney General Merrick Garland and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco to address alleged violence against election workers.
The task force, since its inception, has been engaging with the election community and state and local law enforcement to assess allegations and reports of threats against election workers, according to the Justice Department. The task force also partners with FBI field offices and U.S. Attorneys’ Offices throughout the U.S. (Fox News) Read more

- Lord, in a normal year, we could trust law enforcement to be a force for good in an election. This, however, could go in a bad direction if this task force uses government intimidation on voters. We ask for Your Holy Spirit to surround every voter, giving strength and courage for each. We bind any plans to intimidate voters.

- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

Russia Responds to Donald Trump's Alleged Threat to Strike Moscow
The Kremlin has refused to publish details of "high-level conversations" between top officials, a spokesperson said after Donald Trump said he had threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin with a strike on his capital if Moscow invaded Ukraine.

Trump, the Republican candidate for elections now just two weeks away, told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published on Friday that he had warned Putin—with whom he said he had a "great relationship"—not to go to war in Ukraine or he would "hit" Moscow.

"I said, 'Vladimir, 'if you go after Ukraine, I am going to hit you so hard, you're not even going to believe it. I'm going to hit you right in the middle of fricking Moscow,'" Trump purportedly said.

"I said, 'We're friends. I don't want to do it, but I have no choice.' He goes, 'No way.' I said, 'Way.'"

The former president did not elaborate on when the alleged conversation took place.

Newsweek has reached out to Trump and to the Kremlin for comment.

"We still prefer to state a very responsible position in terms of not making public the content of conversations that are conducted at the highest level," Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, according to Russian state media reports.

"Unfortunately, a number of world leaders do not adhere to this position and do not observe such information 'hygiene' in this case. Well, it's on their conscience," Peskov told reporters, according to Russian state outlet RBC.

Trump has repeatedly said he has a close relationship with the Russian leader, and that should he be reelected, he would be able to end the war in Ukraine in a matter of hours.

The former president met with Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelensky, in New York late last month, hailing what Trump called a "very good relationship," while also emphasizing his positive relations with the Kremlin.

Trump has said he wants a quick resolution to the conflict, but has on several occasions refused to specify that he hopes for a Ukrainian victory.

It has been more than two and a half years since the Kremlin launched its full-scale invasion of its western neighbor, with little end currently in sight. The war effort, believed now to have racked up at least 1 million combined casualties.

According to an index sourced from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Moscow's highest number of lost military personnel in one day was on May 12, when 1,740 men were reportedly killed. (Newsweek) Read more here.
- Father God, we note that this discussion between these two world leaders has come to light two weeks before our Election.

Lord God, America wants peace. No matter who wins this election, we are a people who are united in wanting peace for our nation and the nations.

We bring this very serious matter before Your Throne of Grace, asking that You intervene so that both leaders will walk in Your counsel and seek the way to bring peace to our lands. Thank You, Father God, in Your name we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. After Sinwar’s death, Israel pursues parallel hostage deals, one small and one broad - Times of Israel

Two parallel efforts are underway as Israel attempts to make progress toward a deal with Hamas that would see the release of hostages in Gaza, according to Israeli officials.

Mossad Director David Barnea has been pushing a broad deal that would bring both the war in Gaza and the expanding IDF campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon to an end, alongside the release of all Israeli hostages, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel.

At a security cabinet meeting Sunday evening, meanwhile, ministers heard initial details about a different proposal, that would offer Hamas a two-week ceasefire in exchange for the release of five hostages, the Ynet news site reported. (Read more)

2. Shin Bet chief heads to Cairo as Israel said seeking to end Gaza war with hostage deal - Times of Israel

Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar visited Cairo on Sunday to discuss the attempted revival of hostage deal negotiations after the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza last week, an Israeli official told the Times of Israel.

Sinwar, who was seen as a major obstacle to a hostage deal, was killed Wednesday in an encounter with IDF troops operating in southern Gaza’s Rafah.

His death has sparked hopes of a renewed opportunity to revitalize the long-stalled negotiations for the release of 101 hostages held by Hamas and for an end to the fighting between Israel and the Palestinian terror group that has reduced much of the enclave to rubble over the past 12 months. 3. Israel Strikes at Heart of Hezbollah’s Terror Financing System - Algemeiner

Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah financial sites across Lebanon overnight Sunday, including in Beirut.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, dozens of facilities and sites used by the Iranian proxy to fund its terrorist activities against the Jewish state were attacked.

“These funds, which Hezbollah used for terror activities, were stored by the Al-Qard al-Hassan Association, which directly funds Hezbollah’s terror activities, including the purchase of weapons and payments to operatives in Hezbollah’s military wing,” the IDF said. (Read more)

4. IDF discovers Nasrallah’s half a billion dollar money bunker beneath Lebanon hospital - World Israel News

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that Israel’s military has uncovered a money bunker worth half a billion dollars belonging to Hezbollah’s deceased leader Hassan Nasrallah underneath a hospital in Lebanon.

The store of money was discovered underneath the Al-Sahel Hospital in Dahieh, Beirut, and was used as Nasrallah’s hiding place during emergencies.

Hagari said that Israel’s military will not strike the hospital.

However, hospital director Fadi Alameh has denied the facility has any connection to Hezbollah and has urged the Lebanese army to guard the site. (Read more)

5. With eyes on winning war, building third Jewish Temple, Ark replica shown in Jerusalem - JNS

A replica of the Ark of the Covenant, painstakingly constructed, its creators say, to the Torah specifications of the sacred vessel that was the First Temple’s central fixture, was displayed in Jerusalem on Sunday evening, during the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday.

The ark described in the Torah, which housed the Ten Commandments tablets among other holy objects, was hidden after the destruction of the First Temple, per rabbinic tradition. At Jerusalem’s King David Hotel, the replica shown in the hotel’s sukkah contained a refurbished Torah scroll, which survived the Holocaust, from Thessaloniki, Greece.

Several members of the Knesset and Israeli activists were on hand at the hotel for an event and festive meal—a stop on the replica’s journey retracing the steps of the biblical prototype.

Earlier in the day, it was fitted with the Greek Torah at Jerusalem’s City of David. It was later displayed—with some difficulty and via a Schweppes pallet jack—on a rooftop overlooking the Western Wall plaza and Temple Mount. (Read more

1: Election Litigation Could Shape The Race In Battleground States. We Won’t Know Until The Votes Are Cast. - Daily Caller

Litigation could be a defining factor in the presidential race — or it could mean nothing.
For a number of election-related lawsuits across the country, the stakes are high but the potential impact is unknown. Election law experts say it’s too soon to tell whether any of the recent rulings or pending cases will have anything like a determinative effect on the election.
“It’s mostly wait and see for me,” Derek Muller, who teaches election law at the University of Notre Dame Law School, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
A Georgia judge blocked on Tuesday a new rule from the state’s election board requiring counties to hand-count ballots.
In another closely-watched case, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court said in an Oct. 7 ruling it would not decide issues related to mail in ballots this close to the election, including a bid to prevent counties from tossing mail in ballots with an incorrect date. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You will oversee this 2024 election, and not allow any legal action to cause any disasters. We bind every plan of the enemy to take away free and fair elections in America – and we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over every portion of this nation.

- “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”             (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

2: Former Senior Staffers From Top Congressional Offices Lobbied For Chinese Military Companies- Daily Caller

High-ranking alumni of some of the most powerful congressional offices in the country have lobbied on behalf of companies controlled or greatly influenced by the Chinese military, disclosures show.
Former congressional staffers with ties to powerful members of Congress, like Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Republican House Whip Steve Scalise, have worked to influence policy on behalf of Pentagon-designated “Chinese military companies” like DJI, BGI and Huawei. Chinese military companies are those the Department of Defense (DOD) has determined are “directly or indirectly owned, controlled or beneficially owned by” the Chinese military, as well as those that contribute to China’s military-industrial complex.
“If a lobbying firm chooses to represent a Chinese Military Company then they should be barred from representing any companies that contract with the DOD,” New York Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “It is disgraceful that American citizens are working to advance the modernization efforts of Communist Chinese military technology that could one day be used against our service members.”
Lobbyists will often leverage relationships they developed while working on Capitol Hill, including with members of Congress, to advance the interests of their clients. A 2012 study conducted by a trio of economists found that lobbyists who had previously worked in the Senate saw an immediate 24% drop in generated revenue after their former boss left office, indicating that lobbyists can sell access to their former bosses. (Read more)

- Father, we ask that these people who have worked with the Chinese Communists be truly barred from anything to do with the US military. We ask for protection for all United States military assets and technology, and bring about a move of repentance over all those involved.

- “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.” (Acts 3:19)

3: Come November, the single most important issue facing voters is public safety- Law Enforcement Today

The Washington Examiner recently published an op-ed authored by one of our Law Enforcement Advisory Council members, Louis Quijas.  Mr. Quijas served for more than 40 years in law enforcement. He served with the Kansas City (MO) Police Department, was Chief of Police in High Point, NC, and was Assistant Director of the FBI and Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security.
In his op-ed, he makes a strong case that the most important issue facing voters in November is public safety. And he provides a detailed accounting of "the devastating impact that the 'defund the police' movement has had on law enforcement agencies and communities across the country."
He also states, "Many of the candidates who have asked for our vote have forgotten that the No. 1 responsibility of any government is to keep its citizens safe. 'Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' are only pipe dreams if law enforcement, our criminal justice system, and our elected leaders cannot ensure the safety and security of our citizens."
Mr. Quijas concludes in his op-ed, saying, “Over the last several years, I have posed a simple question to many: 'Do you feel safe?' I am sorry to say that the overwhelming response has been, 'No.' On Nov. 5, we all have an opportunity to do something about it and vote for candidates who will fight to restore public safety.” (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, for this man’s voice. We pray that his words will resonate with all who face danger in their hometowns and cities. Help us all to place our trust in You for our safety, including Mr. Quijas.

- “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm  46:1)

4: Encircling Taiwan was a smokescreen for China's real goal of convincing US not to intervene, expert says – Fox News

Contrary to what much of the world’s media has reported, China’s 13-hour simulated blockade of Taiwan that began on Monday, Oct. 14, using a record-breaking number of planes, an aircraft carrier, and both Navy and Coast Guard vessels, was not quite so simple as China "punishing" Taiwan’s new president William Lai for comments he’s made since taking office in May of this year.
"China planned the exercises in advance and would have carried them out regardless of what Lai said," nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council Global China Hub Elizabeth Freund Larus told Fox News Digital. "The military exercises are intended to wear down Taiwan’s military hardware and personnel. The purposes of the exercises are to threaten Taiwan’s security to the point that the Taiwan people lose confidence in their government and to change the status quo of a Taiwan separate from China."
All those reasons would be enough to justify the military maneuvers if one views them from Beijing’s tactical standpoint, but senior research fellow with the R.O.C. Society for Strategic Studies, Dr. Chang Ching, who also served in the Navy for several decades, told Fox News Digital that people are missing the big picture. Chang pointed to publicly available military logs from Japan that tracked both Russian and Chinese ships over several days before the 13-hour exercise. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You will protect Taiwan from all plans of China to destroy them. We ask for a move of repentance, and the revelation of Jesus to all.

- “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might.” (Ephesians 1:17-19)

5: Christian students in Wisconsin speak out after Kamala Harris told them they were at the ‘wrong rally’ – New York Post

A pair of Christian students trolled by Kamala Harris and mercilessly mocked by the crowd at her rally at the University of Wisconsin-La Cross last week insist they were “there for the right reasons.”
Grant Beth and Luke Polaske, both juniors at the school, told “Fox & Friends Weekend” that they felt persecuted akin to Jesus and his early followers after they shouted such things as, “Christ is king!” when the Democratic vice president-turned-presidential candidate started talking about abortion rights.
One of them said Harris even sarcastically waved to him and gave him “an evil smirk” as he held up the cross around his neck and pointed to her while being booted with his pal.
“I was pushed by an elderly woman. We were heckled at, we were cursed at, we were mocked, and that’s the biggest thing for me personally,” Beth said. “In reflection of the event, Jesus was mocked. You know, his disciples were mocked, and that’s OK.

- Lord, thank You for these two students who stepped out with courage to walk into a hostile environment to speak truth.  Ms. Harris has no concept of the consequences of her stand on abortion, nor do her followers understand. We pray Lord that You will move across the nation to bring repentance and heart change.

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” (Proverbs 6:16-19)

6: Supreme Court rejects lawyer Michael Cohen lawsuit against Trump over alleged retaliation - Fox

The Supreme Court dismissed ex-lawyer Michael Cohen’s appeal to revive a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump on Monday, shutting down Cohen's accusations for the last time.
Cohen had claimed his 2020 imprisonment was retaliation by Trump's administration for publishing a book critical of the former president. The lawsuit had sought monetary damages from Trump, former U.S. Attorney General William Barr, federal prison officials and the federal government.
"Michael Cohen has exhausted every avenue of his pathetic attempt to drag my client into court time and time again.  As expected, the Supreme Court has correctly denied Michael Cohen's petition and he must finally abandon his frivolous and desperate claims," Trump attorney Alina Habba told Fox News Digital in a statement.
Cohen had served three years behind bars for several federal crimes relating to his work for Trump, including lying to Congress. He was released on home confinement during the pandemic, but was sent back to prison after refusing to sign an agreement limiting his postings on social media and contacts with the press. (Read more)

- Lord, thank You for the Supreme Court’s action regarding this unwarranted claim. We pray that all lawsuits and court actions against the former President would also be quashed so that he will be able to focus entirely on Your love and the American people.

- “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Prov. 16:3)

Sukkot's Practical and Prophetic Meaning to Christians

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 21, 2024

The festivals of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur focus on the LORD as Creator and Judge, and the One who atones for our sins. Sukkot, October 16-23, 2024, is the climax of the Pilgrimage festivals: Pesach/Passover, Shavout/Pentecost, and Sukkot/Tabernacles (Deuteronomy 16:16). The word simchah, “joy,” appears several times in scripture regarding Sukkot, only once in reference to Shavuot, and not at all concerning Pesach. Deuteronomy 16:13-15 says, “You shall keep the feast of Sukkot seven days, when you have gathered your produce…you shall rejoice in your feast…because the LORD your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be together joyful.”

Even with the troubles of the world, this is a time to be joyful. First, because Sukkot is a celebration of God’s forgiveness of sin during Yom Kippur, and God’s miraculous deliverance from slavery in Egypt. Second because the protection and provision in the 40 years of wilderness wanderings, when the LORD tabernacled among the Israelites and the sukkah was actually His Cloud of Glory, His Shekhinah (Exodus 40:35-36). The festival is celebrated by building a sukkah, a temporary hut with a roof of palm branches, or other natural covering so that you can still see from whence your help comes!   In 1 Corinthians 10:1-2, the apostle Paul wrote, “For I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea. And all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.” Read More

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) dismissed the media’s critiques of former President Donald Trump’s appearance at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s, noting that his day in the Keystone State on Sunday proves that he can connect with voters “better than anyone else.”

“President Trump showed how to connect with voters in Pennsylvania yesterday better than anyone else could – from the french fry station at McDonald’s to the Steelers game on Sunday night,” Vance said, sharing a clip from an appearance on Fox News, where he elaborated further.

Former President Donald Trump delivered a locker room anecdote about golf great Arnold Palmer during his campaign stop in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday that raised more than a few eyebrows.

Trump focused on the four-time Masters champion and well-known Republican born in Latrobe, as he was the perfect subject for Trump’s campaign stop in Pennsylvania. Indeed, Trump spoke about the golf legend for about ten minutes. But at one point, he gave perhaps a bit too much information with a locker room story about Palmer, CBS News reported. (Read more)

The survey, taken among 977 likely Florida voters, showed 53 percent expressing support of Trump this election cycle. Harris came in ten points behind, garnering just 43 percent support. Two percent said they would vote for another candidate, and two percent remain unsure. (Read more)

Old Ironsides, America's most famous warship, turns 227 years old, is still afloat and proudly serving nation
On this day in history, October 21, 1797, legendary warship USS Constitution is launched in Boston

The mighty USS Constitution, arguably the most famous warship in American history — a testament to dauntless courage at sea in the nation's infancy — was launched in Boston on this day in history, Oct. 21, 1797.

The mighty warship, today 227 years old, is still afloat in Boston's Charlestown Navy Yard.

She serves the United States as a reminder of the fight for national sovereignty, a symbol of our unique-at-the-time constitutional foundations and as the centerpiece of the USS Constitution Museum.

"The ship sailed its first cruise [in 1798] as the Quasi-War with France emerged. Later it served in engagements with pirates off the Barbary Coast in the Mediterranean," the National Park Service writes of the vessel.

The USS Constitution was part of the American fleet that bombarded Tripoli in 1804, a powerful show of force on the global stage of the young nation's naval power.

She remains a commissioned US Navy vessel, making the USS Constitution the oldest warship in the world.

The frigate, better known as Old Ironsides for her mighty oak hull and masts, was designed by Joshua Humphreys. Read More
