Advisers to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are scheduled to vote on adding COVID-19 vaccines to a program for children.
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), an advisory panel to the centers (CDC), will vote on Oct. 19 on adding COVID-19 vaccines to the Vaccines For Children program, according to a draft agenda (pdf) for the meeting.
The taxpayer-funded program provides vaccines for free to children who “might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay,” according to the CDC.
Advisers are also poised to vote on Thursday on the 2023 vaccination schedules for children and adolescents.
The agenda does not make clear whether advisers will consider adding COVID-19 vaccines to the immunization schedules, but experts say that vaccines that are recommended for the Vaccines For Children program must be part of the schedules.
The timing of the votes “is persuasive for the ACIP adding the COVID vaccine to the recommended schedule this week, whether officially licensed by FDA for young children or not, because vaccines covered by VFC have to be on the CDC recommended schedule,” Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center, told The Epoch Times via email. |
We heard throughout the entire COVID 19 pandemic that reasonable people must follow the science. Yet, the science that was repeatedly followed was political science as dissenting science was censored. Now scientists at Boston University, and supported by Harvard, Cleveland Clinic, Layola University, and University of Wisconsin, among others, have collaborated on developing a strain of COVID, called Omicron S, that is five times more infectious than Omicron and is vaccine resistant. In fact, the human-developed Omicron S had an 80-100% kill rate in mice used for experiments. This raises ethical questions about why do we need to invent more deadly diseases and risk their escape into mass society.
The scientists noted in their research paper how fast Omicron spreads and the number of variants evolved, exhibiting “a remarkable escape from infection- and vaccine-induced humoral immunity.” The less pathogenic variants develop or mutate from changes in the “S protein,” causing the scientists to study the S protein with the idea that it is at the “heart of Omicron’s pathogenic and antigenic behavior.” The report states: “To test the role of the S protein in Omicron phenotype, we generated a chimeric recombinant virus containing the S gen of Omicron (USA-iho1/2021) in the backbone of an ancestral SARS-CoV-s isolate. To produce this chimeric Omi-S virus, we employed a modified form…that yielded high concentrated virus stocks…” In other words, a gain of function, a weaponization of Omicron.
Their gain of function virus, Omicron S, spread much faster than the original Omicron—at a rate of 80% infected cells in 24 hours compare with Omicron at 48%. Omicron S produced over five times (5.1-5.5-fold) more infectious particles than Omicron with Omicron S virus titers 11-17-fold higher than Omicron. As if that wasn’t enough, the scientists reported: “We next expanded our studies to lung epithelial cells, which are a major viral replication site in patients with severe COVID 19. They also “leveraged the situation to compare the animal survival after viral infection.” The report said, “This (Omicron S) produced mortality rates of 100%…In contrast, all animals infected with Omicron survived.” The 38-page report concluded with thanking various scientists for providing virus cells and other contributions.
In reading through this study, one may be compelled to ask “What in hell?” We just went through a pandemic that killed millions because of an experiment of a deadly virus getting into the public. Now we see scientists making an even more deadly strain and proudly writing about it. Forgive my ignorance on this clandestine industry of science, but common sense and morals would inform us that what these researchers did should be illegal. How do we trust them and their ethics? It reminds me of King Achish’s response to David acting crazy in I Samuel 21:15, “Am I in need of madmen, that you have brought this man to rave in my presence? Must this man come into my house?” Are we in such need of pestilences that we pay “scientists” to bring them to our houses? Oh, by the way, Dr. Fauci’s NIH helped fund them.

A border security mission launched by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has resulted in 336 million "lethal doses" of fentanyl being seized since it began earlier this year, enough to kill the entire population of the United States, he said.
Operation Lone Star was launched in March to combat illegal immigration, an issue Abbott has said the federal government refuses to address as border communities continue to feel its impacts.
On Monday, the Texas Department of Public Safety said hundreds of millions of fentanyl doses have been seized by troopers amid heightened security and aggressive law action by law enforcement near and around the southern border throughout the state.
"We need to all realize that fentanyl is killing Texans," Abbott said in Beaumont during a Monday news conference to announce the "One Pill Kills" public awareness campaign.
Abbott said much of the fentanyl being used in the United States is made in China and then smuggled into the U.S. by Mexican drug cartels. He said he has issued an executive order designating such cartels as terrorist organizations and signed a law that would increase penalties for making or distributing the drug.
He laid much of the blame on the Biden administration's border policies.
"All of this is a byproduct of Biden's open border policies that led to about 2.2 million people being apprehended coming across the border in just this past year," Abbott said. "When you have that many people coming across the border with the assistance of Mexican drug cartels, it makes it far easier for the greater volume of fentanyl to be crossing our border." 1. Gantz: Israel may supply Ukraine with rocket and drone alert system, but not weapons - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Wednesday reiterated that Israel would not supply weapons to Ukraine to fight Russia’s eight-month-long invasion, but said Jerusalem could supply an early-warning system to the beleaguered nation to warn of incoming strikes, like the one used in Israel.
Speaking to a group of European Union ambassadors a day after Ukraine said it would submit a formal request for Israeli air defense systems like Iron Dome, Gantz ruled out the sale of such weapons.
“Israel supports and stands with Ukraine, NATO, and the West. This is something we have said in the past and repeat today. Israel has a policy of supporting Ukraine via humanitarian aid, and the delivery of life-saving defensive equipment,” Gantz said in remarks provided by his office. (Read more)

2. ‘The US is pressing the PA to increase security coordination with Israel’ - JNS
(October 19, 2022 / JNS) The United States is applying pressure on the Palestinian Authority to increase security coordination with Israel, as part of a larger effort to reduce violence in Judea and Samaria, commonly known as the West Bank, a former Israeli defense official tells JNS.
A senior P.A. delegation arrived in Washington in early October, headed by Hussein al-Sheikh, secretary-general of the PLO Executive Committee. The delegation met with senior American officials including National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and focused on finding new ways to ease economic conditions for Palestinian civilians, reopening the U.S. consulate in east Jerusalem and reopening the PLO’s office in Washington, according to Col. (res.) David Hacham, a senior research associate at the MirYam Institute and a former advisor on Arab affairs to seven Israeli defense ministers.
“It’s important to note that this was the first official visit to the United States by the Palestinian Authority since 2017, when PA President Mahmoud Abbas placed a boycott on the Trump administration after it recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” he said.

Israelis who have gone shopping this week in any of the nation’s supermarket chains have discovered the supply chain crisis that struck the US and other countries in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic is now reaching the Jewish State.
But the reasons are very different.
Items like ketchup, diapers, and other products are in short supply at best, and completely missing on some supermarket shelves due to demands by distributors for a significant price hike.

4. Nir Barkat: We aim to cancel the Disengagement Law, work together with the Americans - Israel National News
Member of Knesset Nir Barkat (Likud) said today (Wednesday) in the Israel National News-Arutz Sheva studio on the way to Homesh that it is possible to present an alternative solution to the 'two states' that will convince the US to allow us to cancel the Disengagement Law in northern Samaria and bring two million residents to Samaria in the next 30 years.
Barkat attacked the Lapid government: "This government freezes the situation and does not get what needs to be done. You see American policy projected onto Lapid and Gantz and it paralyzes them. In the eyes of the Americans, they think that Palestinian construction promotes the two-state solution, while Jewish construction prevents it".
Barkat explained, "As soon as the State of Israel, the government, presents an alternative solution to the two-state solution, we will suddenly see that it is possible to present a different policy to the Americans. I believe with all my heart that when the American government understands our solution, we will be able to build in Homesh and everywhere in Judea and Samaria and bring two million residents here in thirty next years. 5. Hamas terror group back in Damascus after years of tension - World Israel News
Two senior officials from Hamas visited Syria’s capital Wednesday in the first such visit since the terror group was forced to leave the war-torn country a decade ago over backing armed opposition fighters.
The visit appears to be a first step toward full reconciliation between Hamas and the Syrian government and follows a months-long mediation by Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror group — both key backers of Syrian President Bashar Assad. Despite the Hamas-Assad rift, Tehran and the Iran-backed Hezbollah maintained their relations with Hamas.
Hamas long kept a political base in Damascus, receiving the Syrian regime’s’ support in its campaign against Israel. Hamas’ powerful leadership-in-exile remained in Syria even after the group took power in the Gaza Strip in 2007. (Read more)

Voters in Arkansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Dakota, and South Dakota will be voting on whether or not to legalize marijuana for recreational use on November 8. In plain sight, radical progressives have pooled money, influence, and power for decades to get us to this point. They have made edits, redefinitions, and outright codification of laws and terms that are contrary to common sense, moral values, and biblical principles. It is their years of methodical work to change public opinion that has set the stage for what we see playing out today.
With an overwhelming share of U.S. adults (91%) saying either that marijuana should be legal for medical and recreational use according to Pew Research, it seems a forgone conclusion that voters will further open the door to this gateway drug as not only legal but more acceptable, In fact, fewer than one-in-ten (8%) say marijuana should not be legal for use by adults.
As of September 2022, The American Medical Association says that the nation's drug overdose epidemic continues to worsen. The cannabis black market is thriving in states with legalized marijuana due to the high tax on marijuana. Marijuana proponents overemphasize the benefits of tax revenue to garner support for legalization, but studies prove the societal costs of legalized drugs far outweigh the revenue marijuana sales bring in. 2. Voters break toward Republican candidates in big swing from September - Washington Times
More likely voters say they plan to vote for a Republican than a Democrat in the midterm elections, according to a poll Monday that shows persistent concerns about the economy and inflation are bolstering the GOP in the last weeks of the campaign.
The New York Times/Siena College poll found that 49% of likely voters will back a GOP candidate for Congress on Nov. 8, compared to 45% who will vote for a Democrat. It is a flip from September, when Democrats held a 1-point edge.
With inflation stubbornly high and Wall Street stocks tumbling, 44% of voters cited the economy as the most pressing issue, up from 36% in July and by far the most commonly cited issue. Voters most concerned about the economy favored GOP candidates by a 2-to-1 margin. (Read More)

3. White House pushed El Paso Democrat mayor against declaring emergency over migrant crisis - Just The News
The White House reportedly pressured the Democrat mayor or El Paso, Texas, not to declare a state of emergency to address the the city's struggle to address record migrant from Mexico over fears that such a declaration would make the Biden administration look bad.
Three of the El Paso City Council's eight members are urging Mayor Oscar Leeser to declare an emergency over the thousands of migrants who have flooded the city, the New York Post reported Monday.
Council member Claudia Rodriguez said Leeser told her the administration directed him against issuing an emergency declaration.
"He told me the White House asked him not to," she said.
Leeser has said that "if things got worse" he would declare a state of emergency, but he has not said what that would require. (Read More)

4. Putin declares martial law in annexed regions of Ukraine - Just The News
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday declared martial law in the four regions of Ukraine that Moscow annexed last month. The regions – Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson – will come under martial law Thursday, the Kremlin announced in a translated decree.
Martial law is essential defined as putting government-run operations under direct military control. Putin said the change will ensure safety and maintain public order, as well as ensure "anti-terrorist protection of critical facilities."
Last month, Putin declared a "partial" military mobilization and a draft for the war against Ukraine as Kyiv began retaking some land captured by Russia earlier in the war.

5. Arizona mails thousands of incorrect ballots - Just The News
Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a Democrat now running for governor, is acknowledging that as many as 6,000 voters got a mail ballot with only federal races.
Hobbs, whose campaign is staked largely on defending the integrity of the 2020 elections, said Tuesday the mistake was the result of a database glitch.
She also said affected voters will receive the correct ballot shortly.
Kari Lake, the Arizona GOP gubernatorial nominee, who has made concerns about voting irregularities and fraud a centerpiece of her campaign, has called on Hobbs to step aside from overseeing the midterms while she’s on the ballot. The Hobbs-Lake race is essentially deadlocked, according to the most recent RealClearPolitics.com polls average.

6. Social media platforms target cardiologist who went from booster to critic of COVID vaccines - Just The News
Aseem Malhotra, who recently wrote an unusual first-person medical paper calling for a "pause and reappraisal of global vaccination policies for COVID-19," has become increasingly vocal in his skepticism of the jabs since his healthy father's inexplicable cardiac death six months after vaccination.
In a phone interview with Just the News, he called COVID vaccines "one of the worst pharmaceutical interventions in the history of medicine" whose harm is so thoroughly documented that "it shouldn't even be worthy of debate" to pause vaccination campaigns. The only explanation in his mind is "the increasing unchecked power of Big Pharma over the last two decades" and "willful blindness" of policymakers and regulators.
He's testifying on COVID vaccine damage before the All-Party Parliamentary Group in the House of Commons Thursday. "The British government must announce an immediate halt to the UK's Covid-19 vaccine programme and launch a public inquiry to fully assess the risks and benefits associated with new mRNA vaccine technology," Malhotra wrote.

7. DOJ prosecutors believe they have enough evidence to charge Trump after Mar-a-Lago raid - Washington Examiner
Justice Department prosecutors in the Mar-a-Lago raid case believe they have enough evidence to charge former President Donald Trump with obstruction of justice, according to a new report.
The team of prosecutors “believe there is sufficient evidence” to charge Trump for obstruction, according to “people familiar with the matter” cited by Bloomberg, but the outlet said that “the path to an actual indictment is far from clear.” The outlet said the DOJ group “has not yet made a formal recommendation” to Attorney General Merrick Garland and that their sources said it is “also unlikely officials would bring only obstruction charges amid several other Trump investigations into potential crimes.”
The outlet said charges are unlikely to be filed or revealed prior to the November midterm elections. Garland had said in early August that he “personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant in this matter.” (Read More)

8. Navy’s top admiral won’t rule out Chinese invasion of Taiwan within months - Washington Times
Senior U.S. military officials have worried in recent months that a Chinese military invasion of Taiwan could be just a few years away. The Navy’s senior officer warned Wednesday that it may come even sooner than that.
, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Michael Gilday cautioned that China could meet its military goals sooner than many in Washington expected.
“It’s not just what [Chinese] President Xi [Jinping] says, it’s how the Chinese behave and what they do. And what we’ve seen over the past 20 years is that they have delivered on every promise they’ve made earlier than they said they were going to deliver on it,” he said during an event held by the Atlantic Council.
“So when we talk about the 2027 window” for an invasion of Taiwan — a timetable famously floated in 2021 by Adm. Phil Davidson, then the head of US Indo-Pacific Command — “in my mind, that has to be a 2022 window or potentially a 2023 window,” Gilday said. “I can’t rule that out. Stupidocrisy: The Pelosi Punch

A very calm Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was in her Capitol Hill office on January 6, 2021 observing President Donald Trump’s speech and watching protesters gather by the capitol. Her daughter Alexandra was filming her. We know this because the video aired for the first time October 13 on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360. Pelosi, wearing a COVID mask is seen saying: “It’s very dangerous what he’s doing. He’s getting all these people to show up and protest “stop the steal.” He’s putting all these crazy ideas in their heads…Tell him if he comes here, we’re going to the White House (laughing)…” Two staffers in masks report to Pelosi that Secret Service dissuaded Trump from coming to the Capitol. Then she drops a bombshell.
Pelosi pulls down her mask and gets very animated with her eyes looking straight ahead and her fingers pointing while she says, “I hope he comes. I want to punch him out. We’re waiting for this, for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I want to punch him out, and I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy.” The video of Pelosi wanting to punch Trump went viral as Newsweek reported that over three million people viewed it on Twitter and Recount combined. It was certainly tell tail of how the media covered the release of this video. Conservative media portrayed Pelosi as rather insane, quoting Trump’s rant calling her “Crazy Nancy.” Liberal media hailed Pelosi as a Bad-A** hero that was either outraged or joking. Read More

Tu-95 Bear bombers were flying in international airspace close to Alaska but did not pose threat, NORAD said
|
|
|
Two Air Force warplanes intercepted a pair of Russian bombers flying in international airspace near Alaska, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said Tuesday.
NORAD said it "detected, tracked, positively identified and intercepted" the two Russian Tu-95 Bear-H bombers "entering and operating within the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ)." They were intercepted by a pair of F-16 fighter jets.
"The recent Russian activity in the North American ADIZ is not seen as a threat nor is the activity seen as provocative," NORAD said in a statement. (Fox News) Read more here.

End 1/6 defendants’ cruel and unusual punishment

Our Committee on the Present Danger: China has hosted over forty webinars in recent weeks, exposing the myriad ways in which the Chinese Communist Party is waging “unrestricted warfare” aimed at destroying the United States – and the Americans helping them do it.
Especially powerful was yesterday’s program illuminating the truth about the events of January 6, 2021 and the unconstitutional, “cruel and unusual punishment” judges have allowed to be meted out to those falsely accused of trying that day to overthrow the U.S. government.
Washington District Judge Emmet Sullivan is prominent among the jurists who have allowed 1/6 defendants to languish in solitary confinement and other horrific conditions for months without trial. He should be removed from all January 6th cases – as should everyone who has abused their offices to wage political warfare and violate the constitutional rights of American patriots.

The midterm elections are approaching.
Historically, midterms have not usually gone well for the party in power, and experts
originally predicted that the upcoming November races would bring a wide range of
victories for Republicans. But some legislative wins for Democrats and other factors have
tightened up the race for control of the so-called upper chamber.
There are Senate elections in 34 states this year, with voters taking to the ballot box to
make their voices heard in races across the country. In some states, incumbents are
seeking another term against a challenger. But there are also open races in several states,
such as Alabama and Pennsylvania.
• What does incumbent mean? An incumbent is the person who already holds the
office. For example, if President Joe Biden runs for reelection in the 2024
presidential election, he would be considered the incumbent president.
This list of Senate races from coast to coast includes Republican and Democratic
candidates, though candidates who identify as Libertarian, Independent and with other
political parties may also appear on ballots in some states. If you are interested in more
information on these candidates in your area, you can often find information through your
county or state election officials.

NASA’s Webb Takes Star-Filled Portrait of Pillars of Creation

NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has captured a lush, highly detailed landscape – the iconic Pillars of Creation – where new stars are forming within dense clouds of gas and dust. The three-dimensional pillars look like majestic rock formations, but are far more permeable. These columns are made up of cool interstellar gas and dust that appear – at times – semi-transparent in near-infrared light.
Webb’s new view of the Pillars of Creation, which were first made famous when imaged by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope in 1995, will help researchers revamp their models of star formation by identifying far more precise counts of newly formed stars, along with the quantities of gas and dust in the region. Over time, they will begin to build a clearer understanding of how stars form and burst out of these dusty clouds over millions of years.
Newly formed stars are the scene-stealers in this image from Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam). These are the bright red orbs that typically have diffraction spikes and lie outside one of the dusty pillars. When knots with sufficient mass form within the pillars of gas and dust, they begin to collapse under their own gravity, slowly heat up, and eventually form new stars. Read More

‘Jesus Revolution’ Film to Hit Big Screens Soon:
‘It Shaped Culture and It Shaped America’
|

The powerful true story of how revival, rock and roll, and young hippies on fire for Jesus changed the course of America in the 1960s and 1970s will hit theaters in February. The “Jesus Revolution” film tells the story of a young Greg Laurie who is searching for truth in all the wrong places until he meets a hippie street preacher named Lonnie Frisbee, played by “The Chosen’s” Jonathan Roumie. Together, they, along with Pastor Chuck Smith played by Kelsey Grammer, open the doors of a Southern California church to an unexpected revival and a newfound love for Jesus that leads to a spiritual awakening.
Roumie recently took to Instagram to update fans on the upcoming film with the first behind-the-scenes look and interviews with the other cast members. “You might have seen this by now but for those who missed it, I’m stoked to share the first-ever behind-the-scenes look at Jesus Revolution, in theaters everywhere February 2023,” Roumie wrote. “Experience the heart of our story: how a new counterculture crusade—a Jesus Movement—changed the course of history.”
In the clip, stars share their thoughts on the movie and what they want audiences to take away from the film. It’s a story of finding yourself, finding your faith, finding your way,” said actress Anna Grace Barlow. “I just think it is going to be so uplifting.”
The film is based on Pastor Greg Laurie’s book, Jesus Revolution, which outlines “the true story of the national spiritual awakening in the early 1970s and its origins within a community of teenage hippies in Southern California.” After getting saved, Laurie would later start Harvest Christian Fellowship, in Riverside, California, which is now one of the largest churches in America. The church has sponsored its local SoCal Harvest event for three decades, making it one of the longest-running evangelistic events in the nation, attended by millions of people. “I don’t think we necessarily knew we were a part of history, but we knew we were part of something very special,” said Laurie in a video about the film. “Thousands of young people were coming to Christ and being baptized.
