Supreme Court protects cops from lawsuits in two qualified immunity cases
No justice registered a dissent to the two unsigned opinions blocking lawsuits against police officers

The Supreme Court Monday issued two unsigned opinions applying qualified immunity to disputes over alleged excessive use of force by police officers, reversing lower court decisions that allowed the officers to be sued for their on-the-job conduct.

There were no recorded dissents in the two cases, both of which involved police officers responding to domestic disputes where women or children were allegedly being threatened by adult men.

The decisions come amid a simmering debate about the doctrine of qualified immunity, which prevents government officials from being sued for violating citizens' rights while reasonably doing their jobs unless the breached rights are "clearly established in the law."

Democrats and libertarians, who largely oppose qualified immunity, allege that it often results in police officers who go far beyond their authority getting an unreasonable legal shield. The rare exception is if there is a case with nearly exactly the same facts that has been ruled on before.

Republicans overwhelmingly support qualified immunity, arguing that if it was taken away officers would be subject to lawsuits for nearly every difficult call they are faced with on the job. This would make it nearly impossible to recruit or retain good officers, they say. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, we thank You for these two rulings rendered by the United States Supreme Court. We stand by all law enforcement personnel across our nation, asking that Your Hand of protection would rest upon each one.

Father God, we pray, too, for their loved ones who must remain at home while they are on duty. Please be a shield around these families, encompassing them with Your peace. We ask this prayer in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God." (Matt. 5:9)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Palestinians spar with Israel Police outside Jerusalem’s Old City - World Israel News

Palestinians clashed with Israeli police at a popular gathering place just outside Jerusalem’s Old City as thousands celebrated a Muslim holiday, a repeat of violence earlier this year that eventually led to the 11-day Gaza war in May.

Israeli police said Palestinians hurled rocks at police and public buses near the Damascus Gate leading into the Old City. It said 11 suspects were arrested.

Earlier, thousands of Palestinians had marched along the Old City walls and paused at the gate, where a scout band played the Palestinian national anthem. Tens of thousands prayed at the nearby Al-Aqsa mosque in honor of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

Palestinians say Israeli police moved to restrict the annual gathering in and around Damascus Gate in what they saw as a provocation. (Read more)

2. IDF blocks roads near Gaza border - Israel National News

Israel's defense establishment is taking precautions due to concerns that Gaza terror groups will begin firing towards the Israeli border.

The concern stems from intelligence information regarding the desire of the Islamic Jihad terror group to harm IDF soldiers by using antitank missiles.

As a result, in accordance with a situational assessment, the IDF decided to block several sites and roads near the Gaza border fence.  (Read more)

3. Bill preventing Netanyahu from returning as PM drafted by Sa'ar - Jerusalem Post

A new bill that would prevent anyone under a serious indictment from forming a government, was published by Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Tuesday.
According to the bill, which would take effect with the next Knesset, opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu could not be tasked by the president with building a coalition.

Netanyahu, or anyone else indicted for a crime that carries a three-year sentence, also could not serve as an alternate prime minister.  (Read more)

4. Right fumes after Gantz grants Palestinians permanent residency in West Bank - Israel Hayom

Right-wing lawmakers expressed outrage Tuesday after the Defense Ministry allowed the Palestinian Authority to register 1,200 undocumented Palestinians living in the West Bank as residents. The move comes after a recent meeting between PA President Mahmoud Abbas and Defense Minister Benny Gantz.

The 1,200 individuals will now be able to receive Palestinian passports. In addition, another 2,800 residents – who moved to the West Bank from the Gaza Strip before Hamas took over in 2007 – will be able to change their addresses. (Read more)

5. First underground data center in Israel built to ‘withstand missiles and car bombs’ - JNS

(October 18, 2021 / JNS) American computer technology corporation Oracle unveiled in Jerusalem on Oct. 13 the first underground data center in Israel, which is designed to provide cloud services under exceptional conditions.

The underground center is geared to provide the highest levels of physical security, according to Oracle, which is also planning a second underground cloud center in the future to expand its services.

As a result, Oracle became the first global cloud provider to open a reinforced underground facility—nine floors underground—to enable business continuity in emergencies. (Read more)

6. Top cyber official: Hospital attack ‘purely financial,’ likely by Chinese group - Times of Israel

Health Ministry cybersecurity chief Reuven Eliyahu said Monday morning that last week’s massive ransomware attack on Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera was likely carried out by Chinese hackers whose motives were “purely financial.”

“This is probably a Chinese hacker group that broke away from another group and started working in August,” Eliyahu said in an interview on Army Radio. “The motive for the attack was purely financial.”

A ransomware attack involves breaking into an entity’s networks to encrypt its data, then demanding a ransom, typically paid via cryptocurrency, to unlock it. As a government hospital, Hillel Yaffe was barred from paying any ransom, according to Channel 12 news. (Read more)

1. Thousands of California Parents Join in Statewide Walkout Against Vaccine Mandate for Students - Epoch Times

Thousands of California parents, students, and teachers on Monday participated in a statewide walkout to protest Gov. Gavin Newsom’s decision to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for all students in both public and private schools.

Newsom, a Democrat, earlier this month announced the vaccine mandate for schoolchildren in grades 7 through 12 once the vaccines have received full approval by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA), making California the first state to implement such requirements.

So far, the FDA has only granted emergency authorization for anyone aged 12 to 15. Newsom’s latest vaccine requirement is expected to take effect in January 2022 or the start of the 2022 school year. Crowds of Californians opposed to the measures swarmed the steps of the California Capitol, carrying signs that read “My body, my choice,” and “My children won’t be a science experiment to make you feel safe.” (Read more)
- We join our voices with those of the parents in saying a loud and firm "No!" to this outrageous and unnecessary mandate to vaccinate children as young as 12 years old.  Father God, we come against this plan, as it has originated in the mind of the enemy of our children.  We come against the plans to expose our children to the dangers of an injection unproven in young children.  Lord, we pray that so many parents will protest this mandate that it will have to be dropped and forgotten.  May the people of California look to You to raise up a standard against this tyranny.

- "He will repay my enemies for their evil.  Cut them off in Your truth."  (Ps. 54:5)

2. Pentagon Faces Class-Action Lawsuit Over Vaccine Mandates on Military, Federal Employees and Contractors - Epoch Times

Service members from all five branches of the U.S. military, federal employees, and federal civilian contractors have joined in a class-action lawsuit against the Department of Defense over its COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

The 24 plaintiffs “face a deadline under the Federal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate to receive a COVID-19 vaccine that violates their sincerely held religious beliefs, and have been refused any religious exemption or accommodation,” according to Liberty Counsel, the Christian legal firm that filed the lawsuit.

The lawsuit (pdf), filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, lists President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas as defendants. The plaintiffs are asking the court to issue a temporary restraining order (pdf) to prevent the COVID-19 vaccine mandates from taking effect, and ultimately issue an injunction to prevent the Pentagon from enforcing the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates. (Read more)

- How wicked are the plans of the enemy!  Hear our prayer, O Lord, to bring a ruling favorable to those to those suing these officials.  Lord, may there arise such a resistance to this demand that it cannot be carried out.  We bind up the spirit of fear that is being put upon our military and civilian federal employees and say that no amount of coercion or threats will work as Americans realize that this evil plan will put them in perpetual subservience to a demonic spirit.

- "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."  (Romans 8:15)

3. Democrats to scale back Treasury's IRS bank reporting plan, raise threshold from $600 to $10,000 - Just The News

Senate Democrats are set Tuesday to announce a scaled-down version of the Biden administration's proposal to crack down on Americans it suspects are dodging taxes. The administration's original proposal was greeted with overwhelming opposition from fiscal conservative groups, the banking industry and other over concerns about financial privacy.

The initial plan, conceived by the Treasury Department and Senate Democrats, would have allowed the Internal Revenue Service access to information on bank accounts that had at least $600 worth of annual deposits or withdrawals. The new proposal will still allow the IRS to access information on accounts that transfer or receive more than $10,000 annually. However, it will exclude all wage income from counting toward the $10,000 threshold.

While Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has been adamant in her position that the new measure would amount only to essentially a technical set of changes, critics of the proposal argue that the new rules would massively expand the IRS's ability to snoop on the accounts of Americans. (Read more)

- We say "Hallelujah, Lord,"  for this decision!  We pray that You would bring about such a pushback against this unconstitutional invasion of personal privacy that this tactic will be dropped for good.  We bind up this tyrannical plan to delve into private citizens' accounts and call it dead and gone, never to be resurrected.  Rid us of those who would do this to lord it over us and may the tables be turned on them.

- "Let their table become a snare before them:  and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap."  (Psalms 69:22)

4. Russia moves to suspend its NATO mission, after diplomats expelled - Just The News

Russia has suspended its mission at NATO and ordered the closure of the alliance's Moscow office. The move was announced Monday, following NATO expelling  Russian diplomats earlier this month. NATO rescinded the accreditation of eight Russian officials to its Brussels headquarters, saying that it believes the officials have been working as Russian intelligence officers. Moscow has denied the accusations, calling them baseless.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the alliance's action had cemented his country's position that "NATO isn't interested in any kind of equal dialogue or joint work."

He also said, "We don't see any need to keep pretending that there could be any shift in the foreseeable future. ... we have practically no conditions for elementary diplomatic work and ... we suspend the work of our permanent mission to NATO." Lavrov said the work of Russia's chief military envoy will end by Nov. 1 or several days later. (Read more)

- We thank You Abba, for Your watchful eye upon the affairs of mankind.  We pray for the light of Christ to intervene in these NATO nations and Russia, that You would establish righteousness in  every land.  Only You really know what is contained in the layers of discourse from all sides.  We commit this situation into Your care.

- "'See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.'"  (Jer. 1:10)

5. North Korea fires suspect submarine-launched ballistic missile into Sea of Japan - Just The News

North Korea fired a suspected submarine-launched ballistic missile Tuesday into the Sea of Japan, the latest in a series of launches recently by the rogue country in an increasing show of force.

Japan's navy issued a maritime warning following the missile launch, according to the Associated Press. The launch comes amid a meeting scheduled between the U.S. and South Korea to discuss Pyongyang's nuclear aggression.

Nuclear talks have been nearly nonexistent for almost two years between the U.S. and North Korea. However, President Biden's special envoy to South Korea, Sung Kim, remains hopeful, despite past disappointments. (Read more)

 - Father, we ask You to move upon North Korea.  Cause this leader and his tyrannical regime to turn from their wicked ways and get new hearts and live.  May the prayers of saints around the world avail much against the saber-rattling and threats being issued by this country.  Mighty One, neutralize their nuclear capacities again, as You have done before.  Refuse to permit them to threaten nations in the region or worldwide.  In Jesus name.

- "I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were broken down At the presence of the Lord, By His fierce anger."  (Jeremiah 4:26)

6. New video from Jan. 6 shows officers allowing people to enter Capitol - Just The News

pair of lengthy videos showcasing a different perspective of what happened on Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol have finally been released to the public, despite objections from the Biden administration. According to BuzzFeed News, the surveillance videos show Capitol police officers allowing hundreds of people to enter the government, after being vastly outnumbered.

The government was obliged to release the footage due to the criminal case pending against  Ethan Nordean, who is described as a Proud Boy member and is being accused of participating in riots on Jan 6. Nordean's lawyers argue that his case is unlawful because the videos clearly show police permitted people to enter the U.S. Capitol.

Federal prosecutors opposed releasing the videos, stating that Nordean was mischaracterizing what the videos depict. Nordean is currently awaiting trial on charges of "forcibly entering" the Capitol, two felony counts of obstructing an official proceeding, and conspiracy. (Read more)

- Father, we cry out and decree Justice! Justice! Justice! in Jesus Holy Name!  We must speak out until every citizen imprisoned unjustly receives justice.  The inflammatory accusations about January 6th, intended to incite emotional drama must be countered with truth, so we thank You for causing these videos to be released.  May there be more and most especially, would You please expose the infiltrators and adversaries who were attempting to incite real violence.  May the full truth come out and may the innocent be not only exonerated but receive reparations.  In Jesus name.

- "You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; The earth feared and was still, When God arose to judgment, To deliver all the oppressed of the earth."  Selah  (Psalm 76:8-9)

7. Inhofe urges Defense Department to reverse COVID-19 vaccine mandate - Washington Examiner

Sen. Jim Inhofe, ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, is urging the Department of Defense to scrap its vaccine mandate. Inhofe’s letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin called on the Pentagon to end the “haphazardly implemented and politically motivated vaccine mandate,” even though a large majority of troops are already vaccinated.

Each military branch has its own deadline for compliance to the vaccine mandate for active-duty and reserve troops. The Air Force’s mandate for all active airmen to get vaccinated by Nov. 2 is the earliest for the military.

“At a time when our adversaries continue to increase their quantitative and qualitative advantage against our forces, we should seek to ensure that no policy, even unintentionally, hinders military readiness,” Inhofe wrote in a letter Monday. "Most troublesome is the lack of clarity and consistency among the services as they look to implement the administration’s hasty vaccination mandate. Combined with the uncertainty and burden the vaccination mandate places on industry, this administration will do more damage to the nation’s security than any external threat.” (Read more)

- Father, we ask that this administration would pay heed to the critical warnings being put forth by Senator Jim Inhofe.  His concerns are significant, as the evidence is strongly divided between both camps regarding adverse consequences of the injections.  Nevertheless, the risk of our military troops, especially in the air, being incapacitated or worse, carries a devastating potentiality.  Holy King, we beseech You to stand on behalf of the remaining uninjected military forces and protect them and compel the immediate withdrawal of the mandate.

- "Have you not known?  Have you not heard?  The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary.  His understanding is unsearchable."  (Isaiah 40:28)

 8. Over 60K police, law enforcement officers assaulted in 2020, up by 4,000+ from year before, FBI says - Fox News

More than 60,000 police and law enforcement officers were assaulted on the job in 2020 – up by more than 4,000 from the prior year, recent FBI statistics show. There were 60,105 officers assaulted in the line of duty in 2020, with 30.9% of them – 18,568 – suffering injuries as a result, the FBI said in a press release on Monday. The total number of officers assaulted jumped by 4,071 from 2019, when 56,034 line-of-duty assaults were reported, the FBI said.

Data show the majority of officers – 44,421 – were assaulted by individuals who used "personal weapons," such as their fists, hands or feet, while 2,744 were assaulted with firearms, 1,180 with knives "or other cutting instruments" and the remainder attacked using "other types of dangerous weapons."

In the plurality of instances, 29.6%, the officers were responding to calls about disturbances, "such as family quarrels or bar fights," the FBI said. The second-highest instance in which officers were assaulted was when they were attempting other arrests, authorities said. (Read more)

- Father God, these are horrifying statistics. In light of this report, we continue to thank You for the decision rendered today on behaf of our police, protecting them from unlawful lawsuits. We ask that this violence cease, in Your name, amen.

- "Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just."  (Psalm 7:9)

9. Trump releases statement on lawsuit filed by protesters - DML News

Former President Donald Trump provided an update Monday evening, after he gave a videotaped deposition in a case brought by a group of protesters at a 2015 event outside Trump Tower in New York.

The six protesters, “of Mexican origin,” claimed they were assaulted by Trump’s security guards and filed a lawsuit against Trump, the Trump Organization, his 2016 presidential campaign. The group specifically targeted Trump’s former head of security Keith Schiller. Trump shared details on how the case is developing in his statement Monday evening:

The Klu Klux Klan dressed protester case should have never been brought as the plaintiffs have no one to blame but themselves. Rather than protest peacefully, the plaintiffs intentionally sought to rile up a crowd by blocking the entrance to Trump Tower on 5th Avenue, in the middle of the day, wearing Klu Klux Klan robes and hoods. When security tried to deescalate the situation, they were unfortunately met with taunts and violence from the plaintiffs themselves.

Seeing this for what it is, prior to my deposition today, the Court dismissed almost all of the plaintiffs’ claims—except for a baseless claim for injuries they never suffered, and the temporary loss of a worthless cardboard sign which was soon thereafter returned to them. (Read more)
- Father, the Democrats are still crying “Wolf!” with regard to President Trump. May the Dems and media soon be done with baseless claims against him that waste time, talent and finances. We pray that the protestors, and the “money-people” behind them, be held accountable for their rabble-rousing actions and lies. May the entire case against Pres. Trump and his security team be dropped quickly.

10. Billionaire Supermarket Chain Owner Warns Food Prices Will Go Up ‘Tremendously’ - Brietbart

Appearing Monday on the Fox Business Network, Gristedes grocery chain owner John Catsimatidis warned that food prices will continue to soar as President Joe Biden’s administration struggles to contain rising inflation. A transcript is as follows:

MARIA BARTIROMO: We’re talking about the disruptions in the supply chain and inflation being real issues, what are you seeing from your stand point in regards to both of those issues?

JOHN CATSIMATIDIS: We’re both in the oil business and food business, so I see all the ends of the chain. We’re at almost 84 dollars for oil this morning. We’re going to see $100 oil, it looks like. There’s no sign of it stopping. You know how how CEOs are on Wall Street, they live quarter by quarter. If they are off by a penny in earnings, Wall Street is not forgiving. So what are the CEOs doing? They’re raising prices. They want to be ahead of the curve. I see food prices going up tremendously, they want to be ahead of the curve and the way we are doing it is they are dropping all promotions, they are dropping low-moving items. (Read more)

- Lord of all, we beseech You to reverse the curses affecting our nation on so many fronts since the Biden Administration/Deep State have usurped the reins of the U.S. government. The dominoes continue to quickly fall! We pray for reversals and restoration of this threatened shortage of key
supplies of food and fuel. Save us, O Lord, we pray, as we humble ourselves before You in repentance. In Your name, amen.

- "Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy."  (Hab. 3:2)
BREAKING! 11. Southwest Airlines Backs Off Plan to Put Unvaccinated Employees on Unpaid Leave - The Epoch Times

Southwest Airlines told its employees that it will delay a plan to place workers who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 on unpaid leave if they haven’t yet obtained a medical or religious exemption.

The Dallas-based carrier confirmed reports about the memo to news outlets on Tuesday, saying it will drop the plan.

“If an accommodation has not been reviewed or approved by December 8, the Employee will continue to work, while following all COVID mask and distancing guidelines applicable to their position, until the accommodation has been processed,” said Southwest in a statement.

The company stressed it will approve “all valid requests” for religious or medical accommodations. If it is not granted, Southwest said it will “provide adequate time for an employee to become fully vaccinated while continuing to work and adhering to safety protocols.” (Read more)

- Father God, we close today's Daily Brief headlines with a shout of JOY that this company has now stood down from mandating vaccinations for all of their employees. We ask that this policy remain in place permanently, so that the pilots and crew will be free to continue to provide excellent service for their passengers, unhindered by rigid corporate rules.

- "All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee."      (Psalm 145:10)

CNN COVID Obituary

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 19, 2021

Former US Secretary of State, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, American war hero, husband, father, and grandfather, Colin Powell, 84, passed away Monday morning “due to complications from Covid 19,” the Powell family wrote on Facebook. Powell was fully vaccinated and also suffered from myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells that suppresses the body’s immune response, which put Powell at risk because he was immunocompromised, according to CNN. While CNN attempted to write a glowing obituary of the former General, the story read like an advertisement for the COVID 19 vaccine, which sadly was sprinkled with misinformation and a feeling of “don’t look here, nothing to see here.”

CNN made a point high in the obit to point out: “It is not clear if Powell had received a booster dose of the vaccine. Covid-19 vaccines are a highly effective tool in preventing severe disease and death, but no vaccine is 100% effective. More than 7,000 breakthrough cases of Covid-19 that have resulted in death have been reported to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through October 12. By that time, more than 187 million people in the US were fully vaccinated. That’s one out of every 26,000 fully vaccinated people who has died of Covid-19, or 0.004%. Of those breakthrough cases resulting in death, 85% were among people age 65 and older and 57% were among men, according to the CDC.” Read More

Who's looking out for America's Families?

Submitted by: The American Renewal Project
On January 9, 2021, Mark Robinson became the first African American Lieutenant Governor in North Carolina history. When we met him early this year in February, he expressed his surprise about the day-to-day life of holding elective office: “I thought I was entering into public service but found out that I had stepped into the middle of spiritual warfare.”

His assessment was reinforced when secularists erupted in furious rage over some of his remarks at the Asbury Baptist Church in Seagrove, North Carolina, in June, where he said: “There is no reason anybody, anywhere in America should be telling any child about transgenderism, homosexuality, or any of that filth [in public education].

“To me, it is against the tenets of my religion. … But we do not live in a theocracy, and I do not have the right to tell anyone what they practice in their home. Teaching about those issues in public schools, however, is absolutely off limits.”

. . . On the question what the greatest commandment in the Law is, Jesus answers that there are two. The “first and greatest,” the “greatest and most important” is “to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” [Matthew 22:37-38]

The second law is like the first, although not of equal importance: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” [Matthew 22:39]

In America’s current cultural and political climate, clamorous rhetoric prevails over sound prudence, and self-righteous sentimentality takes prideful precedence over common sense. In such a climate, one’s own outrage is readily mistaken for righteous indignation and virtue, absolving one from the necessity to think clearly.

Dennis Prager put it this way: You set the standard in the macro [homosexuality and adultery are sin] and love in the micro [love sinners, for we all need mercy]. (Read more here.)

The remains of the ghost ship washed onshore in Latvia from the Baltic Sea
as sand dunes wash up along the coastline.
Remnants of historic 'ghost ship' discovered onshore

Tourists gathered around to get a glimpse of the remnants of an old "ghost ship" -- and a combination of waves and sand may be what caused the pieces to finally be pushed onshore.

"This is very interesting coastal erosion in Daugavgriva. In the last century, dunes have moved there for very long distances," according to Archaeologist Arturs Thomsons. The pieces of the so-called ghost ship, which is actually an old boat, were discovered near the Daugavgriva lighthouse on a beach in Latvia, a nation located in northeastern Europe.

Sand dunes in the area have been moving slowly over the last century. In some places, this has caused sand to wash up, while in other places it washes away. According to Thomsons, the remains of this ghost ship were likely carried to shore by waves and sand.

"These are very interesting processes when in one place the sand is washed up and in another place, it gets washed off. This is why sometimes miracles are discovered after 100 years," Thomsons said, according to Ruptly. Read More

The Good News Corner
Predominantly black Arkansas town declares itself ‘pro-life city’

A predominantly black Arkansas town recently passed a resolution to become a “Pro-Life City.

“It is the policy of the City of Marianna to promote and protect the dignity and humanity of all persons at all stages of life from conception until natural death,” the city council for the Arkansas town said in a resolution passed Tuesday. “The City of Marianna declares itself to be a Pro-Life City,” the resolution said, according to a copy of the language posted by the Arkansas Family Council.

The town is nearly 80% African-American, showing that ending abortion is an issue of concern for racial minorities, too.

The resolution does not allow the city to shut down abortion facilities or simply ban abortion, like other places have done, but it does send a message about the values of Marianna.

It also draws on founding documents and state law to explain its support for the dignity of human life.

“We have focused so much on our state capitals and our nation’s capital, and we have forsaken our city halls,” organizer Mark Lee Dickson told Jonathon Van Maren on May 12. He said cities must pass laws declaring “abortion is not going to happen here legally.”

As of September 14, 37 cities have abortion sanctuary policies in place, according to Dickson’s website. His website provides more information on how activists can pass similar resolutions in their own cities. (Lifesite News) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You for this action that has been taken by the citizens of Marianna, Arkansas. We ask that this would be an example for many others to follow, in Your Name,
amen and amen.

Thoughts for Repentance
21 Days of Prayer

Sexually Immoral | Day 12
Today on Day Twelve of the 21 Day Repentance journey, the focus is on the fourth sin: sexually immoral.

Day twelve: Sexually immoral. Ask the Helper if you have any perverse sexual spirit. Where did it first surface in you? Is it a generational curse? How does it show up in your life today?
What is His replacement? " I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. " Galatians 5:16-17.

" For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." Galatians 5:13.

Words and Music: Helen Lemmel

Scripture: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2

Lyrics:
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

Refrain
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of the world will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!

Refrain

His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!
