Prophesies About Gaza From the Bible
Ancient Philistia = modern day Gaza.
What do the scriptures reveal to us about the ultimate fate of Gaza? Did you know that the scriptures say that the captives will be released to Israel?
IDF Says it's Completing Preparations to Strike Gaza, from Air, Sea and Land
The Israel Defense Forces said Saturday it was completing preparations for a “significant ground operation” in the Gaza Strip, as it continued to conduct widespread airstrikes on terror targets in the enclave.
In a statement, the IDF said it was readying to “expand the offensive” by implementing a “wide range of offensive operational plans,” which it said include a “joint and coordinated attack from the air, sea and land.”
The IDF has been pounding the Strip in the week since Hamas terrorists launched an unprecedented assault on Israeli border communities, killing 1,300 people, most of them civilians, and taking 150-200 hostages to Gaza. The terror assault, the worst in Israel’s history, shocked the country and the world and Israeli leaders declared their intention to end Hamas’s rule of the territory.
The military said it was finalizing the call-up of hundreds of thousands of reservists, as the logistics directorate is working to provide troops with all the equipment they will need for the ground offensive. (Times of Israel) Read more here.
- Holy King, we pray for the Spirit of the Living God to fill and surround the IDF soldiers and their leaders with divine grace and accuracy to accomplish this task swiftly, in Jesus holy name. We know this operation will be very terrible, so we pray that the leaders of Israel will have come to You, O King, to receive Your guidance and direction in order to be victorious. Thank You, Holy One, for putting a muzzle on fake news and that silence would prevail over deceptions, in Jesus name.
- "A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked." (Psalm 91:7-8)

IDF Conducts "localized" Ops in Gaza as War enters Second Week
Israel Defense Forces troops launched “localized” raids into the Gaza Strip on Friday in a bid to locate hostages Hamas kidnapped last weekend.Soldiers found and recovered the remains of some of the estimated 120 missing.
The IDF also killed Murad Abu Murad, the head of Hamas’s aerial array in Gaza, in an overnight airstrike. Abu Murad “took a big part in directing terrorists during the massacre” of 1,300 Israelis during last Saturday’s invasion of the western Negev.
Israel has instructed residents of northern Gaza to evacuate to the southern part of the Strip using humanitarian corridors that have been set up between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The IDF notified the United Nations overnight Thursday that some 1.1 million Palestinians residing north of Wadi Gaza need to leave their homes ahead of an anticipated major ground operation to root out Hamas’s terrorist infrastructure. On Saturday, the IDF continued to drop leaflets in Gaza urging residents to flee.
“Dear residents, the terrorist organizations began a war against the State of Israel and Gaza City became a battle zone. You must evacuate your home immediately and leave south. For your safety and security, you are not allowed to return home until further notice from the Israel Defense Forces,” read the leaflets.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari told reporters on Friday that the evacuation order was meant to limit Palestinian civilian casualties.“We are fighting a terror group, not the Gazan population. We don’t want to harm civilians, but we cannot live with Hamas-ISIS rule near our border,” he said. (JNS.org) Read more
- Mighty God, we give You praise for the way the IDF works so hard to protect innocent people by doing everything possible to call them to leave the areas of terrorist conflict. We pray for the people to be able to leave and all hostages found and recovered without further trauma during this time given for escapes from troubles, in Jesus name. We call for the peace of God to bring healing into the hearts of crushed people and on both sides of the border, that they would find their way to know You, in Jesus name.
- "The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet." (Nahum 1:3)
TOP STORY 3
College Students Backtrack on Hamas, Rush to Hide Connections and Pro-Hamas Statements
Less than a week after Israel was struck by a devastating mass invasion by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, American college students who initially voiced support for the terrorists have now been forced to recant their statements for fear of being canceled.
As Just The News reports, perhaps the biggest example thus far is the story of Ryna Workman, the president of NYU Law’s Student Bar Association. Workman, a black woman who identifies as “non-binary,” had applied for a job with the law firm Winston and Strawn; after she had initially been accepted, the firm then sent out a public statement revoking her job offer after she stated that Israel “bears full responsibility” for the terrorist attacks, which she described as “Palestinian resistance” and “necessary.”
Elsewhere, students at Harvard are now facing backlash after over 30 student groups signed onto a public letter denouncing Israel as an “apartheid regime,” calling the Jewish state “the only one to blame” for the violence. Three days after the attacks, the list of signatories was removed, although archived versions still exist which include the full list.
After the list’s publication, Harvard alumnus and hedge fund CEO Bill Ackman said that “a number of CEOs” had approached him to ask if Harvard would reveal the identities of the student groups, “so as to insure that none of us inadvertently hire any of their members.”
Members who defend “inconceivably despicable acts” against civilians should “not be able to hide behind a corporate shield,” Ackman added.
Max Meyer, former editor of Stanford Review, has since created a list of “Hitlerite college radicals” who support Hamas, and have been “rapidly deleting their online presences” in order to hide from the consequences of their actions. After Google removed his list, Meyer moved “The Terror List” to another website.
Almost immediately after the initial attacks, many waves of pro-Palestine protests began suddenly arising all across the United States, leading some to speculate that the protests were not natural and were instead astroturfed by special interests. (American Greatness) Read more here.
> > > Editor's comment: we are well aware that there are many on our campuses who are not supporting Israel, but we wish to honor those who have now had a change of heart and are publicly supporting Israel in this war. Thank You, God!
- Father God, we thank You for this report! In its own way, this shows us that these students have now "come to their senses" and, in retracting their previous support of Hamas, have demonstrated an act of repentance. We pray that even more students, teachers and graduates, across our land would do the same, until our nation stands SOLIDLY behind Israel and AGAINST Hamas and all terrorist organizations. We pray in Your Holy Name, Abba, amen and amen!
- "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL
1. 'Next stage is coming,' Netanyahu tells IDF on visit to southern Israel - Jerusalem Post
"Are you ready for the next stage?" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked soldiers on Saturday. "The next stage is coming."
The prime minister toured Kibbutz Be'eri and Kfar Aza in southern Israel on Saturday - two sites that experienced high rates of murder and trauma. Netanyahu met with soldiers and walked through the ruins of the houses in the communities that suffered in the terrible attack last week, his office shared.
On Friday night, Netanyahu interrupted people's Shabbat dinners to address the nation with a similar message. He told the country at 9:30 p.m. on Friday on live TV that Israel will destroy Hamas, no matter how long it takes.
"This is just the beginning," he said. "Our enemies have only begun paying the price, and I will not say more. This is just the beginning." (Read more)
2. IDF uncovers Hamas plans for massacre and operating orders on terrorists' bodies - Israel National News
The IDF revealed on Sunday parts of its investigation of the findings that were taken by the Intelligence Directorate from Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel on October 7th.
Until now, the IDF's document and technical findings collection unit and the Yahalom elite combat engineering unit collected hundreds of documents and certificates, hundreds of cellular devices, communication devices, and cameras, and spread dozens of intelligence notices to the forces.
Reservists from the unit are working at the 8200th Intelligence Unit's headquarters near Tel Aviv to develop a system for study, dissection, and evaluation. All of the findings: arms, documents, cell phones, and certificates pass through inspection and bomb disposal by the Yahalom unit. (Read more)
3. Herzog tells CNN that terrorists had manuals how to torture and kidnap people - Times of Israel
President Isaac Herzog tells CNN that marauding Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel last week in an unprecedented onslaught were carrying manuals with instructions on how to torture and kidnap those they found.
“This was found on the body of one of the terrorists, this is a booklet, okay, this booklet is an instruction guide, how to go into civilian areas, into a kibbutz, a city, a moshav, how to break in,” Herzog tells Wolf Blitzer.
“And first thing what do you do when you find the citizens, you torture them. This is the booklet, it says exactly how to torture them, how to abduct them, how to
kidnap them,” Herzog says holding up a copy of the pamphlet. (Read more)
4. Hezbollah fires 30 mortars, IDF hits anti-tank team in latest Lebanon border clashes - Times of Israel
The Israeli military clashed with the Lebanese Hezbollah terror group on Saturday in the latest skirmishes on the northern frontier, which came amid fears a second front could open up as Israel wages war on terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
In a separate incident hours later, two rockets were launched from Syria at northern Israel, causing no injuries.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the clashes Saturday afternoon began after some 30 mortars were launched at military positions in the contested Mount Dov area on the Lebanon border. (Read more)
5. Israeli killed in Hezbollah missile attack from north - World Israel News
One person was killed and three wounded on Sunday by an anti-tank missile strike on the northern Israeli town of Shtula that was claimed by the Hezbollah terror group.
The wounded were evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, according to Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency services. Two of the victims were in moderate condition while the third was in mild condition, according to MDA.
The victim killed in the attack has been identified as an Arab-Israeli man roughly 40 years of age who was working as a building contractor at a construction site.
The wounded are Arab-Israeli and Palestinian Arab workers who were also working at the construction site. (Read more)

1. Democrats vs. Democrats on Israel: A History of Growing Tension – The Washington Stand
The sound of footsteps echoed down the halls of the U.S. Capitol as Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) tried to flee from a reporter confronting her about the acts committed by Hamas. “Congresswoman, Hamas terrorists have cut off babies heads and burned children alive,” the journalist said. “Do you support Israel’s right to defend themselves against this brutality?” With a heavy exhale, Tlaib gave no comment.
The reporter pressed again, “You can’t comment about Hamas terrorists chopping off babies’ heads?” Once again, Tlaib was asked if she condoned what Hamas has done with babies and even the “raping [of] women in the street,” but was only met with a glare from the congresswoman as the rush to the elevator continued. She darted in, and as the doors closed, the words rang out, “Do Israeli lives not matter to you?”
This behavior, experts say, reflects Tlaib’s known history of anti-Semitism. What’s more, the Democratic Party as a whole has been historically divided on matters concerning Israel, with tensions steadily increasing over the last several years, especially as more anti-Semitic lawmakers are elected.
Representatives like Tlaib such as Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), and Cori Bush, (D-Mo.) have all released controversial statements calling for ceasefire and declaring Israel an “apartheid state,” along with demands that the U.S. stop funding the nation. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that You will scatter Your enemies and bring confusion to their camp. We ask for the souls of these radical Democrats, but failing that, we pray for them to resign and be ashamed.
-“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
2. Biden Sent $148 Million to ‘Palestinian’ Areas Weeks Before Attack on Israel – Daniel Greenfield, Front Page Mag
In 2021, State Department officials warned that “there is a high risk Hamas could potentially derive indirect, unintentional benefit from U.S. assistance to Gaza” and asked for a special exemption from sanctions on funding terrorists.
In 2022, Biden met with Palestinian Authority terror leader Mahmoud Abbas and boasted that, “I reversed the policies of my predecessor and resumed aid to the Palestinians — more than a half a billion dollars in 2021.”
While the Biden administration kept the assessment that it was at high risk of funding Hamas secret, the results could be seen in real time. After the Trump administration and congress cut off foreign aid to the terrorist areas in the West Bank and Gaza, the number of terrorist attacks dropped sharply. So did the casualties. In all of 2020, only three Israelis were killed.
In 2021, when Biden restored aid to the terrorists, Israeli casualties shot up 900%.
They have since consistently risen every year Biden was in office, up another 82% from 2021 to 2022. Even before the horrifying atrocities of the conclusion of the Jewish High Holy Days, twice as many Israelis had been killed in one month of Biden than in one year of Trump. (Read more)
- Lord, it is unfathomable that the Biden administration refuses to heed the dangers of sending funds to that corner of the Middle East. We pray that the war will wake them up and that You will now be able to change hearts and minds to understand wisdom.
- “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)
3. EXCLUSIVE: GOP Rep Unveils Bill That Would Allow US To Pay Itself Back For Ukraine Aid With Frozen Russian Assets - Daily Caller
Republican Georgia Rep. Rich McCormick introduced legislation on Wednesday that would allow the U.S. to use frozen Russian assets to reimburse itself for aid to Ukraine, according to a copy of the bill exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Approximately $330 billion in Russian-related assets has been seized and frozen by the U.S. and NATO allies, as part of a larger effort to impose sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, the bill states. McCormick’s proposal, called the “Make Putin Pay” Act, would allow the Biden administration to use these frozen assets to reimburse the U.S. for its ongoing aid to Ukraine, and also to support future aid without using taxpayer dollars.
“[This bill] does a few things. It takes the Russian threat very seriously, it’s punitive [and] it means we’re all in on doing the right thing,” McCormick told the DCNF. “And at the same time, it doesn’t increase our debt… this takes the assets that were frozen and uses it against the Russian war efforts.”
“This uses their own funds to basically purchase munitions and weaponry to stop [Russian] aggression directly,” McCormick said. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that only Your will prevail over this bill. We thank you for a way to pay for all the ammunition and military hardware being sent to Ukraine, but pray for wisdom to guide Congress.
- “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5: 15-17)
Two Republican congressmen introduced a resolution calling on the Department of Homeland Security Secretary to enact a plan to secure America’s northern border with Canada, warning of increased concerns of terrorist activity in the wake of Hamas’ terrorist attacks against Israel.
The resolution from Republicans Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania and Ryan Zinke of Montana, obtained in a report from the Daily Caller, specifically highlights “the influx of known or suspected terrorists through America’s northern border as a threat to national security” and calls on Secretary Mayorkas “implement a plan to better secure our northern border.”
The resolution points out that “in fiscal year 2023, the number of known or suspected terrorists encountered along our northern border has increased by 38 percent from fiscal year 2022, and 685 percent from fiscal year 2021.”
“The majority of suspected terrorists caught this year have crossed between the U.S. and Canada, which is the longest continuous border between two countries in the entire world,” Kelly remarked.
Overall encounters at the northern border have increased dramatically since President Biden took office, the resolution goes on to note, saying “the number of encounters along our northern border has risen from 997 monthly encounters to 19,835 encounters in August 2023, a 1,889-percent increase.” But while encounters have spiked dramatically, “staffing on our northern border has remained stagnant since fiscal year 2009.” (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that You will guard our borders against the people on the terror watch list or who have terrorist plans that have crossed into the US. Keep Your people aware of what You are doing and what could cause them danger. Grant us discernment and wisdom, along with faith in the power of Your Spirit.
- “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)
5. Israeli Forces Kill Hamas Commander Behind Terror Attack; Freed in 2011 Prisoner Exchange - Breitbart
Israel Defense Forces killed Ali Qadi, the Hamas commander behind the Palestinian terror group’s attack on Israel, which left at least 1,300 dead and more than 3,000 wounded.
The Shalit prisoner exchange occurred in 2011. Israel exchanged 1,027 terrorists for the Israeli soldier.
“In addition, the IDF assassinated Merad Abu Merad, who was the head of the Hamas aerial system, it said Saturday morning. He was primarily responsible for directing terrorists during the massacre,” the Jerusalem Post added.
“Ali Qadi led the inhumane, barbaric October 7 massacre of civilians in Israel. We just eliminated him. All Hamas terrorists will meet the same fate,” the IDF wrote on social media after killing Qadi. (Read more)
- We thank You that this Hamas Commander was eliminated. May Israel continue to find and eliminate those who are behind the attacks on Israel.
- “God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered; and those who hate him shall flee before him! As smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away; as wax melts before fire, so the wicked shall perish before God." (Psalm 68:1-2)
6. Pompeo: ‘If You Want to Stop the Carnage, the Answer is to Eliminate Hamas, to Go at the Iranian Regime’ - Breitbart
Friday on FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed his concern about how the Biden administration was handling a threat potentially triggered by the Israel-Hamas war.
Pompeo suggested the solution to pursue involved going at the “source of the problem,” which he said was the Iranians.
“Are you concerned with this blowing up into some global pro-Palestinian — we’ve already seen attacks around the world,” host Jesse Watters said. “Do you think that the Biden administration has a handle on how big this could blow?”
“You know, I’m worried that they don’t. I must say, I worry that they are actually worrying about that too much,” Pompeo replied. “They’ve already started to try and limit the capacity of Israelis to do what they need to do.“You have to go at the source of the problem, which is the Iranians,” he continued. “And, you know, I am convinced that if we do that, and we do that with seriousness, we can convince large parts of the Muslim world that is in their best interest, too. Make no mistake about it — the terrorist Hamas organization and the folks that Hezbollah make life worse for the people that they subjugate as well. We have to make that argument. We have to deliver American power and we have to permit Israel to have the time and the space that it needs to do what they ought to do and what duty requires them to do to keep the Israeli people safe.” (Read more)
- We pray that Pompeo's words will be heeded by the Biden administration. Give them boldness to go to the source of the problem which is the Iranians. We rebuke any fear that this administration has in handling the Iranians.
- "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)
7. US sends second aircraft carrier to east Mediterranean to deter Iran, Hezbollah - Times of Israel
WASHINGTON — The United States is sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean “to deter hostile actions against Israel or any efforts toward widening this war following Hamas’s attack,” Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said Saturday.
The USS Eisenhower and its affiliated warships will join another carrier group, USS Ford, already deployed to the region in the wake of the brutal Hamas onslaught a week ago and Israel’s ongoing response in Gaza.
The deployment signals Washington’s “ironclad commitment to Israel’s security and our resolve to deter any state or non-state actor seeking to escalate this war,” Austin said in a statement, presumably referring to Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror group. (Read more)
- Father God, sometimes actions speak louder than words. We thank You that our government has now deployed two aircraft carrier groups to this region, as a statement of our own "iron clad support" of Israel. May this action serve as a clear warning to both Hezbollah and Iran of our determination to stand by our ally, Israel, fearlessly in this hour. Amen.
- "A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee, until you are left alone like a pole on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill." (Isaiah 37:18)
8. France Mobilizes 7,000 Soldiers Following Suspected Islamist Stabbing Attack - Breitbart
ARRAS, France (AP) – France will mobilize up to 7,000 soldiers to increase security around the country after a teacher was fatally stabbed and three other people wounded in a school attack by a former student suspected of Islamic radicalization, the president’s office said Saturday.
Some schoolchildren, parents and personnel returned to the Gambetta-Carnot school in the northern city of Arras as it reopened Saturday morning to reconnect and seek support, after the attack Friday that rattled France in a context of global tensions over the Israel-Hamas war.
The French government heightened the national threat alert, and President Emmanuel Macron ordered up to 7,000 soldiers deployed by Monday night and until further notice to bolster security and vigilance around France, his office said. The “attack emergency” threat posture allows the government to temporarily mobilize the military to protect public places among other measures. (Read more)
- We pray for protection over France in light of these recent attacks. Give the government foresight of any planned attacks in the future.
- "Wisdom will come into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. 11 Foresight will protect you. Understanding will guard you." (Proverbs 2:10-11)
9.North Korea Raises the Specter of Nuclear Strike over US Aircraft Carrier's Arrival in South Korea - Military.com
SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea lashed out Friday at the arrival of a U.S. aircraft carrier battle group in South Korea, calling it a provocation and again raising the specter of using nuclear weapons to defend itself.
Emboldened by its advancing nuclear arsenal, North Korea has increasingly issued threats to use such weapons preemptively. But the North is still outgunned by U.S. and South Korean forces, and experts say it is unlikely to use its nukes first, though it will continue to upgrade those arms without returning to diplomacy for the time being.
The North’s latest nuclear threat came a day after the USS Ronald Reagan and its battle group arrived at South Korea’s southeastern port of Busan, following U.S.-South Korean-Japanese naval exercise in international waters earlier this week.
South Korean defense officials said the carrier is to be docked at Busan for five days as part of an agreement to increase the temporary deployments of powerful U.S. military assets in response to the North’s growing nuclear program.
On Friday, the North’s official Korean Central News Agency called the aircraft carrier’s arrival “an undisguised military provocation" that proves a U.S. plan to attack North Korea is being realized. It threatened to respond in line with its escalatory nuclear doctrine that authorizes the preemptive use of nuclear weapons. (Read more)
- We pray for calm heads In the North Korean government in response to the USS Ronald Reagan's presence. We pray for peace to reign in this region, in Jesus's name.
- "The Lord gives strength to his people, and the Lord blesses his people with peace." (Psalm 29:11)

They Asked for 10 People to Support Funeral of Girl Murdered by Hamas - 10,000 Showed Up
10,000 strangers showed up to a funeral to celebrate the life of a 24-year-old Brazilian-Israeli girl who was murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival in Israel Saturday. Bruna Valeanu had recently moved to Israel from Brazil with her mother and sister and was studying communications at Tel Aviv University. She was attending the music festival near the Gaza Strip when Hamas terrorists invaded the land and massacred more than 1,000 civilians. Valeanu, who reportedly served as a shooting instructor in the Israel Defense Forces, told family and friends she was surrounded by wounded people amid gunfire. "The last thing we got was her location via text," her sister, Nathalia Valeanu, told the Jerusalem Post. "It was a dangerous location, where terrorists came armed in trucks, tanks, and motorcycles. She said she heard a lot of gunshots and had a lot of people injured. And she was in the middle of the woods, but it was a place that was kind of fenced in," Valeanu continued. That was the last time anyone heard from her.
By Tuesday, her mother and sister were planning a funeral for her, but didn't know enough people to hold a Jewish religious service known as a minyan. At least 10 people need to be in attendance for it to take place, CBS News reports. Volunteers posted to social media asking for 10 people to show up. "Unfortunately, Bruna Valeanu was murdered at a party in Re'im. She is an immigrant from Brazil, only her mother and sister live in Israel, and needs help completing the minyan for the funeral that will take place tonight. Please, those who can - let them come," the post stated. But way more than 10 people showed up. Ten-thousand people packed out the Petah Tikva cemetery to pay their last respects to Bruna and share in her family's grief, The Jerusalem Post reported. "My friend and I went after they wrote that there would be no minyan," Orit, one of the many people who responded to the post, told the outlet. "During the trip, 'Waze' added more and more travel time even though the road was open, and we didn't understand why. Towards the cemetery, there was a very big traffic jam and we thought there might be a lot of funerals, we didn't realize that they were all coming for Bruna." CBN) Read More
- Father, we thank You for the love and compassion shown towards this hurting family who tragically lost a daughter during the Hamas massacre. May this display of kindness towards deceased Bruna Valeanu bring comfort to her family and serve as a testimony of genuinely empathetic hearts within the People and Nation of Israel, who stand in unity with those in need. May Your presence surround the brokenhearted bringing comfort to all who mourn. In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ-Amen.

A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
Scripture: Awake, awake!
Put on your strength, O Zion;
Put on your beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city!
For the uncircumcised and the unclean
Shall no longer come to you.
Shake yourself from the dust, arise;
Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion! Isaiah 52:1-2
Lyrics:
But when I come to count your praises
And sing Hallel to you
With pretty rhymes I dare not crown you
As other poets do,
Upon my lips is always burning
Your name, so dear, so old:
If I forget Yerushalaim
Of bronze and light and gold ...
Yerushalaim all of gold
Yerushalaim, bronze and light
Within my heart I shall treasure
Your song and sight.
Back to the wells and to the fountains
Within the ancient walls
The sound of horn from Temple's mountain
Again so loudly calls,
From rocky caves, this very morning
A thousand suns will glow
And we shall go down to the Jordan
By way of Jericho.
Yerushalaim all of gold
Yerushalaim, bronze and light
Within my heart I shall treasure
Your song and sight.
