Israel Braces for "Long War" as Death Toll From Hamas Attack Passes 1300

The IDF has hit some 2700 targets in the Gaza strip, including 136 Command Centers, and 40 underground facilities.

Four Israelis were wounded, including one critically, in a rocket attack on Sderot late on Thursday morning. Another two victims were seriously wounded and another person was in moderate condition, according to the Sderot municipality.Terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired a salvo of rockets at central Israel earlier on Thursday, triggering sirens around Netanya and in Ariel in Judea and Samaria, as Israel’s “Operation Swords of Iron” entered its sixth day.

The IDF also reported rocket alerts in Kibbutz Nahal Oz near the Gaza Strip and an Iron Dome interception over Kfar Yona, east of Netanya.The Israeli Air Force continued to pound Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Wednesday in response to Hamas’s Oct. 7 terror assault, which left at least 1,300 people dead and more than 3,000 wounded.

According to the head of the IDF Home Front Command, the relatively slow rate of rocket fire from the Strip indicated that Hamas was preparing for a lengthy conflict.We have identified the behavior of Hamas, which realizes that it is entering a long war,” said Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo.

“Hamas is managing the fire in a way that is meant for weeks [of fighting], and they dropped to a rate of fire to around 200-400 rockets per day,” he added.

- Father, we pray for Hamas to be brought under control and to stop the shelling and release the captives, in Jesus name.  We ask You to continue being present with all who have been wounded and the countless numbers of those who have lost loved ones, revealing Your heart of lovingkindness, compassion and mercy.  May there be revelation of Jesus as Savior and that people would receive from You that incredible grace to walk through these horrific times, in Jesus name.

Israel Now Fighting a Three Front War
The Current Situation
Israel is fighting a three-front war. In the northeast, mortar shells have been fired across the border from Syria. The IDF is closely watching activity from that region, because it is a hotbed of activity by Iranian-supported proxy militias. Russia also continues to have a strong presence there, although it is decreasing as they siphon off troops from Syria to fight in Ukraine.

The second front is Lebanon in the north. Hezbollah is sending commando raids into Israel, while firing rockets over the border. Leaders from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as from Iranian proxy militias like Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, are in Lebanon orchestrating the terrorist actions. Hezbollah leadership is being very vocal against both Israel and the United States. I expect this front to explode soon due to the pressure being put on it by the IRGC.

The primary front is in Gaza to the south. This is where the attack against Israel originated, and this is where Hamas has its stronghold. Gaza looks like a warzone because that is exactly what it is. The IDF is on a mission to destroy Israel’s southern enemies – the terrorist organizations Hamas and Islamic Jihad. To find them, they must root them out. That is why you are seeing building after building coming down in Gaza. This is not a police operation. We will not risk our people going door to door to find criminals. This is war, which means destroying the weapons, resources, safehouses, and personnel of your enemy. Those who understand war recognize the need for leveling buildings and cutting services like electricity and water. Those who don’t, cry out, “Unfair! Overkill!” If any of those naysayers actually looked at the pictures of decapitated babies and of families who were burned alive, I wonder whether they would have the same reaction. Expect the strength of Israel’s prosecution of the war in Gaza to be what begins to turn the sentiment of the world, particularly in Europe, back against us. Read more

- Victorious Warrior, we call for Your divine guidance and provision for Israel to deal with these many threats around her.  None of these violent and dangerous actors are new, however, now it is war, and we agree that it will be won by the people of Israel, with whom we stand.  Holy King, we ask that You will establish the defense and victory in heaven, and that it will be carried out on earth with the heavenly host partnering with the wise warriors of Israel, in Jesus name.

- "Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; Seek out his wickedness until You find none.  The Lord is King forever and ever; The nations have perished out of His land."  (Psalm 10:15-16)

Who is Mohammed Deif, the Hamas Commander Behind This Attack?

·         Deif is secretive chief of Hamas military wing in Gaza

·         Held responsible for deaths of dozens in suicide attacks

·         Took two years to plan Saturday's assault

·         Cites 'rage' over Israeli raids on Al Aqsa mosque

DUBAI, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Israel calls last week's devastating attack by Hamas its 9/11 moment. The secretive mastermind behind the assault, Palestinian militant Mohammed Deif, calls it Al Aqsa Flood.

The phrase Israel's most wanted man used in an audio tape broadcast as Hamas fired thousands of rockets out of the Gaza Strip on Saturday signalled the attack was payback for Israeli raids at Jerusalem's Al Aqsa mosque.

It was in May 2021, after a raid on Islam's third holiest site that enraged the Arab and Muslim world, when Deif began planning the operation that has killed 1,200 people in Israel and wounded more than 2,700, a source close to Hamas said.

- Holy King, we stand against and silence the wicked call by this man for jihad around the world, in the mighty name of Jesus.  We pray that You give the IDF revelation knowledge of the location of Mohammed Deif, so that he may be detained and arrested quickly, in Jesus name.  We decree the peace of God upon the Islamic people and all terrorists and ask, Holy King, that You give them dreams and visions of peace, shalom and a quiet life in You, instead of violence and bloodshed, in Jesus Holy name.

- "I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.  I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved."  (Psalm 16:7-8)

Scalise drops out of race for House speaker

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., has dropped out of the race for House speaker.

He announced the decision following a closed-door meeting with fellow House Republicans Thursday evening.

Scalise won a Republican conference vote for the nomination of speaker earlier this week over Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, but many GOP members said they would not vote for him on the House floor. (Read More)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. As Strikes Devastate Gaza, Israel Forms Unity Government - Newsmax

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu joined with a top political rival on Wednesday to create a war-time Cabinet overseeing the fight to avenge a stunning weekend attack by Hamas militants.

The new Cabinet establishes a degree of unity after years of bitterly divisive politics, and as the Israeli military appears increasingly likely to launch a ground offensive into Gaza. The war has already claimed at least 2,300 lives on both sides.

The Israeli government is under intense public pressure to topple Hamas after its militants stormed through a border fence Saturday and massacred hundreds of Israelis in their homes, on the streets and at an outdoor music festival.

The Cabinet, which will focus only on issues of war, will be led by Netanyahu, Benny Gantz — a senior opposition figure and former defense minister — and current Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. A former chief of a staff and another government minister were named as “observer” members. (Read more)

2. Israelis abroad urged to take extra care tomorrow, when Hamas has urged ‘day of rage’ - Times of Israel

The Foreign Ministry and the National Security Council issue a joint statement urging all Israelis staying abroad to take extra care tomorrow, citing the Hamas terror group’s call on its supporters worldwide to participate in a “day of rage.”

This, the statement says, is expected to include attempted attacks on Israelis and Jews and rallies that might turn violent.

Israelis abroad are recommended to “show alertness, stay away from protests and demonstrations, and if possible get updates from local security forces about possible protests and incidents of unrest around them.” (Read more)

3. IDF marks out Hamas leadership for elimination ahead of expected ground offensive - JNS

The Israel Defense Forces has marked Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar and the entire leadership of the Hamas terror regime as targets for elimination ahead of an expected Israeli ground offensive, five days after Israel suffered the worst massacre in its history, with some 1,300 people murdered in the south on Oct. 7 by Hamas death squads.

IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said on Thursday evening, “The findings we are gathering in the territory on this murderous attack shows that the architect is Yahya Sinwar along with all his government and military. Hamas is ISIS—this is not a slogan because we found terrorists with ISIS flags. We also found ISIS booklets. Hamas is ISIS. Hamas is Al-Qaeda.”

Vowing that “we can’t allow Hamas ISIS Al-Qaeda be near any one of our borders,” Hagari added hours after reports of airstrikes on the Syrian airports at Damascus at Aleppo. “The IDF will work across the Middle East to implement Israel’s security interests. This will happen in any arena—anywhere we understand there is a threat to Israel.” (Read more)

4. IDF chief admits failures and promises investigation; vows to ‘dismantle’ Hamas - Times of Israel

In his first public statement since the war began, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi on Thursday acknowledged failures surrounding the brutal Hamas invasion on Saturday, but said now was not the time to investigate what went wrong.

“The IDF is responsible for the security of the country and its citizens, and on Saturday morning in the area surrounding the Gaza Strip, we did not handle it,” he said. “We will learn, we will investigate, but now is the time for war.”

Halevi said that the military has “a contract with the citizens of Israel, we have stood by it for many years with ups and downs. We are currently at a dramatic low point.” However, he vowed, “we will do everything to restore this contract, bring back security.” (Read more)

5. Israel bombs Syrian airports moments before Iranian Foreign Minister’s arrival - World Israel News

Explosions were reported Thursday afternoon at two different airports in Syria.

According to initial reports, the runways at Aleppo International Airport and Damascus International Airport were bombed – apparently by Israeli fighter jets.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based anti-Assad organization, reported that both airports have been knocked out of commission by the airstrikes.

The airstrikes occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. Thursday, just ahead of the scheduled arrival of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Syria. (Read more)

6. How should we then pray?

  • Pray for the complete destruction of Islamist terrorist invaders either on Israeli soil or in all of Gaza
  • Pray for the physical rescue of the many Israelis (perhaps 165) who have been kidnapped
  • Pray for divine wisdom and decisive strategy to be given to Israel’s leaders in every area of planning
  • Pray that Lebanon’s leaders will be able to restrain Hezbollah from making moves which would be suicidal to that country
  • Pray for the raising up of Ezekiel’s prophetic Jewish army throughout the earth

1. Hamas Calls for Global Mobilization on October 13- PRAY! - JNS News

“It is an unambiguous global call to arms,” said Robert Greenway of the Heritage Foundation. “It will be heeded. There will be blood.”

An official statement from the Hamas terrorist organization and comments from a former Hamas leader—both calling for global mobilization against Israel this Friday, Oct. 13—are raising alarm at Jewish organizations and among those who monitor the Middle East.

“The real threat here is that there is no way of knowing who, if anyone, will take up the call or if there are pre-planned actions already staged elsewhere in the world just waiting for the greenlight,” according to James Carafano, a fellow at the Heritage Foundation and senior counselor to its president.

Carafano cited the Biden administration’s “open door” immigration policies and said that the U.S. president has “thrown virtually every post 9/11 caution to the wind.” “Given that preparations and attention for dealing with global terrorism in the West have lapsed in recent years, who knows if anyone has been paying attention to this threat?” Carafano told JNS.

On Oct. 10, Hamas called for an “Al-Aqsa Flood Friday” on Oct. 13, according to a translation
 from the Middle East Media Research Institute. In the statement, the terror organization sought reinforcements from “our Palestinian people, the masses of the Arab and Islamic world, and free people worldwide” in its “declaration of mobilization.” (Read more)

- Lord Jesus, we come to Your Throne of Mercy to ask that You would go ahead of any groups planning jihad attacks to put the fear of God in them so that  they would be afraid to harm innocent people.  We pray that governments and individuals would be wise in their activities during this time and prepare for any uprisings.  We tell these evil spirits to back down and cease their threats and violence in the name of Jesus.  We especially speak peace and safety over Jewish people and organizations all over the world.  Thank You, Lord, for Your might and power on display for the world to see.

- And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in Heaven?  and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen?  and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?  (2 Chronicles 20:6)

2. Hamas Atrocities Explode the Two State Myth – JNS News

The United States may finally be prepared to let Israel defeat the Islamist terror group. But that shouldn’t lead to a push for a Palestinian state after that is accomplished.

At last. After 17 years of diplomatic pressure from the United States to limit its responses to Hamas terrorism, it appears that Washington may be finally prepared to let Israel strike a decisive blow against the Islamist group in Gaza. The scale—the death toll now exceeds 1,200 murdered—and the depravity of the atrocities committed during the Oct. 7 assault seem to have convinced the Biden administration as well as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that a maintenance of the status quo with Hamas isn’t an adequate response.

But it hasn’t taken long for the people who have been influencing and steering America’s Middle East policies for the last generation and whose mistakes paved the way for this slaughter to be back preaching their familiar sermons about the need for Palestinian statehood. That such people are still being taken seriously—let alone touted as foreign-policy “wise men”—is mind-boggling, especially when few in Washington seem to recognize that the Hamas state in Gaza is proof that their formulations are wrong. It’s not just that the beliefs of these Islamists are incompatible with a two-state solution, something that even liberals now concede. Rather, it is that the two-state solution is incompatible with any vision of peace. (Read more)

- Dear Lord, we honor Your Word where You said You have given the land of Israel to the Jewish people.  We see, and the world sees in the atrocities emanating from Gaza that these people do not desire peace or a two state solution. We speak to our leaders and declare that they shall not push for the continuation and maintenance of those who want to destroy Israel.  We repent for our country's holding back Israel from using their wisdom in how to battle against their enemies.  Thank You, Lord.

- "The Lord hath taken away thy judgements, he hath cast out thine enemy:  the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee:  thou shalt not see evil any more."  (Zephaniah 3:15)

3. “On Their Own”: GOP Rep on Ground in Israel says Stranded Americans Are Getting Nowhere with Biden State Department – Daily Caller

Republican Rep. Cory Mills of Florida blasted the Biden administration while on the ground in Israel, saying U.S. citizens looking to leave the country are “getting nowhere” with the State Department.
Hamas attacked multiple locations in southern Israel Saturday, killing over 1,000 people including 22 Americans. Multiple airlines cancelled flights to and from Israel following that country’s commencement of military operations against Hamas, The Associated Press reported

“It’s about 2:30 in the morning here, but bottom line is that we were getting a ton of requests from Americans who were stranded who had tried to reach out to the State Department and were getting nowhere, had flights canceled, no more hotel room availabilities and were really kind of off on their own,” Mills told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “And I just kind of made the decision, you know, that I needed to step up and do something. We talk about the difference between statesmen and politicians. One acts and one talks.”

“This isn’t my first time doing this because my team and I had conducted the first successful overland rescue out of Afghanistan that rescued a mother and three children,” Mills told Ingraham.

President Joe Biden told Americans in Israel to take commercial flights out of the country hours after the flight cancellations were announced. Biden also received criticism for hosting a barbeque for White House staff Sunday and for making concessions to Iran, including arranging for the release of $6 billion held by South Korea for humanitarian aid in exchange for Iran freeing five Americans it held prisoner. - We bless You, Lord, for the report of this Congressman helping Americans stuck in Israel at this time of war.  Bless him for doing this and we pray that more people will step up to help evacuate those who want to leave.  We pray the You would let this be a clear message to our leaders who should be taking on this task, as other countries' leaders have, to hear the cries of distress from their citizens.  In the name of Jesus we tell them to do what is within their ability and resources to get help to Americans.

4. CCP Media Warns US: “Taiwan for Israel” Amid Israel-Hamas War – The Epoch Times

Chinese leader Xi Jinping met with three Middle Eastern leaders prior to Hamas attacks.

China's communist regime hasn’t condemned the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas’ attacks on Israel and the massacre of Israeli civilians since it happened last Saturday.

Meanwhile, the ruling Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) official media published an article warning the United States: “If you interfere with us taking Taiwan, we will mess with your Israel."

CCP’s leader Xi Jinping's recent direct contact with three Middle Eastern leaders before the attacks has attracted international attention.Hamas fired thousands of rockets into Israel as large numbers of terrorists sneaked into the country last Saturday, killing more than 1,200 Israelis and taking 100-150 hostages back to Gaza. The Israeli military has launched counterattacks, and the Benjamin Netanyahu-led government has declared war on Hamas.

While democratic countries worldwide have condemned Hamas’s attacks and atrocities, the CCP’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Oct. 8 that it was deeply concerned about the “escalation of tensions and violence between Palestine and Israel” and called for an “immediate ceasefire.” It also again mentioned the “two-state solution” and called for establishing an independent Palestinian state. (Read more)

- Father God, It seems that the Chinese leaders are dishonest. They condemn the horrific attacks on Israel. Then they warn us, if we the USA interfere with their taking Taiwan, China will engage our ally Israel. Please send your warrior angels to protect and defend Taiwan and Israel. We plead the blood of JESUS over both nations and we thank you for your mighty works. In JESUS MIGHTY NAME. AMEN AND AMEN.

"But I will deliver you on that day, declares the Lord, you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid. For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but you shall have your life as a prize of war, because you have put your trust in me, declares the Lord." (Jeremiah 39:17-18)

5. Israel Military Links Hamas to ISIS as US Secretary of State Issues Warning – The Epoch Times

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the U.S. will back Israel "as long as America exists."

Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel on Thursday and held a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the members of the country's war cabinet, coming after Hamas attacks on its territory.
"Hamas brought ISIS flags to massacre Israeli children, women and men. Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organization. Hamas is worse than ISIS," the Israeli Defense Forces wrote on social media, including
 a photo of the flag that was allegedly found. Other details weren't provided.

The alleged ISIS connection was invoked by Mr. Netanyahu at a news conference alongside Mr. Blinken on Thursday. He accused Hamas of using tactics similar to the terrorist group that controlled portions of Syria and Iraq in the 2010s and released videos showing journalists and others being tortured, beheaded, or executed in some other manner.

"Hamas is ISIS," Mr. Netanyahu said. "And just as ISIS was crushed, so too will Hamas be crushed and Hamas should be treated exactly the way ISIS was treated. They should be spit out from the community of nations. No leaders should meet them. No country should harbor them. And those that do should be sanctioned." (Read more)

- Lord God, We thank you for the commitment by the United States to stand with Israel. The USA intends to back Israel as long as we live. We come against this enemy Hamas and ISIS with the power of the BLOOD OF JESUS! Your WORD will not fail. We pray for protection, healing, and release of the captives. Lord bless ISRAEL. In your name AMEN AND AMEN.

- "When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers."   (Proverbs 21:15)
6. Zelensky Begs for More Weapons, Scrambles to Keep International Aid From Drying Up as His Military Prospects are Worsening by the Day – The Gateway Pundit

With the world’s attention increasingly focused on the Middle East, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is frantically trying to keep the support from the west lined up on the aftermath of his failed counteroffensive.

Zelensky joined today (11) a meeting of more than 50 defense leaders from around the world. He did yet another pitch for military aid, as cracks in the formerly formidable international coalition backing for Kyiv.

“Asked about concerns that Ukraine could get less military support because of the Mideast conflict, Zelensky said there is a ‘very understandable volume’ that the U.S. and Europe can provide. Zelensky said he has asked that question himself, adding he thinks nobody really knows but he is still assuming U.S. and European support.

As for the Israel complication, ‘of course, everybody’s afraid, and I think also Russia’s counting on it, on dividing support’, Zelenskyy said in remarks at a news conference.” (Read more)

- Father God, please help the USA and our allies know how to appropriate our existing funds wisely. We ask you to intervene in these wars. It's heartbreaking to see and hear about the atrocities perpetrated upon these innocent people. We ask for you to send your HOLY SPIRIT out to capture the minds and hearts of the enemy and change their mindset. We ask this in your precious name. AMEN AND AMEN.

- "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

- Lord God of the Universe, we fall before Your throne asking that You deliver us from evil, both here and in Israel. Our colleges and universities are teaching and advocating socialism, Marxism, and, now we see, terrorism against Your chosen people and Your land. Father, why are we as parents spending small (or large) fortunes to send our children for higher education, only to have their souls and minds bombarded and brainwashed by the lies and hatred of the devil via clubs, curricula and professors that operate far from Your ways and Your will? Are we asleep or in a coma?? We pray for deep repentance and actions that reflect understanding and wisdom of what is truly Your heart for Your people and for our nation.

Ultimately, we ask for our institutions of higher learning to be supportive of the U.S. Constitution or to be closed by Your hand. Deprogram our precious children who are the future of our nation. May our motto continue to be, “In God We Trust!”

 - This is what the Lord says: “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find a resting place for your souls. (Jeremiah 6:16a)

8. US Inflation Rises More than Expected, Fueled by Higher Rent, Gasoline Costs – The Epoch Times

Rising rents accounted for more than half of the monthly CPI increase, indicating that price pressures remain persistent.

The U.S. annual inflation rate was unchanged at 3.7 percent in September, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics  (BLS) data released on Oct. 12. That was slightly above the consensus estimate of 3.6 percent.

Monthly inflation rose by 0.4 percent, which was higher than projected but less than August's 0.6 percent increase. Rising shelter costs accounted for more than half of the monthly consumer price index (CPI) increase.

Core inflation, which excludes volatile energy and food costs, eased to 4.1 percent year over year in September, down from 4.3 percent, and matched economists' expectations. Core CPI edged up 0.3 percent, unchanged from the previous month. (Read more)

- Rising shelter costs, rising food prices, rising fuel prices—Father, apart from any wise changes made in a number of our federal policies, we are likely to see more and more people living below the poverty level who are ill, hungry, unemployed, and homeless, as well as seeing crime rates increase. The invasion of illegal aliens inflames these issues even more as they receive funds, housing, and food paid for with our taxes which should be used  to assist our own people! Abba, please intervene and send Your perfect provision. We pray that U.S. citizens have the mind of Christ as they vote for elected officials and policies. May Your church, Your people, walk in repentance before You and have a heart to bless others as we have been blessed.

-  "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."  (Psalm 73:25-26)

The Daily Jot

The Red Line

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 12, 2023

The Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah attack on Israeli citizens is a great red line. On one side of the line are those who see the pure evil in the brutal barbarism of the Islamist who vow to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth. On the other side are those who support the actions of the terrorist aggressors. Be assured, there is no moral middle ground. There is no justification. There is no “Yeah, but…” What has been done to Israelis is morally wrong. Sadly, there are those around the world marching and protesting on behalf of the “Palestinians,” under the false and historically inaccurate assumption that these indigenous Arabs are somehow the victims of Israeli occupation of “Palestine.” But it’s about hate.

The red line becomes even brighter when reports come in that these sub-human barbarians dismembered babies in front of their parents before killing the parents; that they beheaded babies; that they not only killed citizens, but dismembered them. It is wicked hateful bloodlust. Supporters of these immoral acts try to say that it is Israeli propaganda. No. It was the terrorists themselves that recorded their atrocities on cell phones and posted their deeds online, bragging about what they had accomplished in the name of “allah.” Imagine being a family member and seeing a young, stripped, contorted dead body in the back of a pickup truck with these terrorists’ legs propped up on it, and upon a closer look, it’s your daughter. This is day 5, of Israel’s war with Hamas and even Hezbollah terrorists.  The nation finds itself preparing to launch an all-out ground attack against the Gaza strip, with the IDF moving into position.  The past few days however have been a nightmare as the IDF first had to sweep and secure the roads and kibbutzim near the breached Gaza border of remaining Hamas terrorists.  There were many fire-fights as groups of Hamas terrorists were uncovered and neutralized.   Dear Friends of Israel:

This is day 5, of Israel’s war with Hamas and even Hezbollah terrorists.  The nation finds itself preparing to launch an all-out ground attack against the Gaza strip, with the IDF moving into position.  The past few days however have been a nightmare as the IDF first had to sweep and secure the roads and kibbutzim near the breached Gaza border of remaining Hamas terrorists.  There were many fire-fights as groups of Hamas terrorists were uncovered and neutralized.

And that’s where my heart is tonight.  There are dozens of small children taken hostage by these Islamists.  I am tonight listing some of their names and ages that you may pray for their safety and release.

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. - Zechariah 12:3

Does the ongoing bloodshed in Israel point to a potential fulfillment of Bible prophecy?

Greg Laurie, author, evangelist and pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Southern California, delivered a sermon last weekend in which he said the attacks on Israel by Iranian-backed terror group Hamas might be the start of a series of events predicted centuries ago in Scripture.

In his message, Laurie noted this latest attack comes exactly 50 years to the day of the anniversary of the Yom Kippur War in 1973, when Egypt, Syria and other nations also attacked Israel.

This war, however, said Laurie, is very different.

“Thousands of rockets rained on Israel from multiple directions, and Hamas gunmen invaded by land, sea and sky,” he said. “ ... They went literally home to home and door to door, looking for the young and for the elderly.”

Noting Iran’s stated objective of destroying the state of Israel, Laurie pointed to a quote from one Iranian military official who spoke of the ultimate objective of “the liberation of Palestine in Jerusalem.” Read More

The Good News Corner
Instead of complaining, stranded passengers began to pray for Israel at Ben Gurion Airport
After many international air carriers suspended or scaled back flights to and from Tel Aviv, hundreds of foreign nationals are stuck in Israel and waiting for their flights out of the country currently at war with the Hamas terror organization. Tourists from across the globe remain stranded at Israel’s Ben-Gurion International Airport on Tuesday after their flights were canceled, but instead of complaining they banded together to pray. In a video circulating on social media, dozens of tourists could be seen standing together hand in hand in an airport hall, loudly praying for Israel.

Just two days before Hamas began its surprise attack on Israel with a murderous rampage through multiple Jewish settlements, thousands of Evangelical Christians from over 90 nations joined the 68th annual Jerusalem March to show their love and support for the Jewish state. On Monday, Hamas fired a barrage of rockets toward the greater Tel Aviv area, sending scores of travelers and tourists running to the airport’s bunkers as one rocket struck an open area close to the airport. About half of the planned flights at Ben-Gurion Airport did not operate on Sunday and a third were canceled on Monday, according to Reuters. Meanwhile, Israeli airline companies El Al and Arkia scheduled additional flights in order to transport thousands of Israelis back home, many of whom were called up for military reserve duty. The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture: Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name. Psalm 29:2

Lyrics:
Down at the cross where my Savior died,
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His name!

Refrain
Glory to His name, glory to His name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His name!

I am so wondrously saved from sin,
Jesus so sweetly abides within;
There at the cross where He took me in;
Glory to His name!

Refrain

Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
I am so glad I have entered in;
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
Glory to His name!

Refrain

Come to this fountain so rich and sweet,
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet;
Plunge in today, and be made complete;
Glory to His name!

Refrain
