TODAY'S TOP STORY
BLACK REPUBLICANS COULD MAKE HISTORY IN MIDTERM ELECTIONS
If five out of these six candidates are able to pull out a win, there is an opportunity for the Republican Party to tie history, but if all six of these Republicans are able to win, there is a chance to make history in the 118th Congress.
Republicans have the potential to make history in the 118th Congress with the possible election in November of up to six new Black Republicans (House and Senate), which would give the GOP nine black members, the largest number in congressional history for that party.

In 1875, eight black Republicans were sworn into office as part of the 44th Congress. Since that time there has not been more than eight black Republicans in Congress at one time.

The 2022 midterm elections will fill the 118th Congress along with many incumbent senators who are not up for election this cycle. There are six new black Republicans running for seats in addition to three black GOP members already in Congress.

Those three are Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-IN), and Senator Tim Scott (R-SC). (Scott is not up for election again until 2026.)

RealClearPolitics currently predicts 180 Democrats to win their seats, 220 Republicans to win their seats, and another 35 seats are toss ups. 218 seats are need for a majority.

In the Senate, RealClearPolitics sees 46 Democrats in solid wins and 47 Republicans in solid wins, with seven toss-up seats. 51 seats are need for a majority. (Read more)

Dr. Martin Luther King, who said: "
I have a dream that my four children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." We pray that each voter in America will vote the will of God on
Election Day next month, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

The "Lion's Den" terrorist group, which took responsibility for many attacks against IDF soldiers and civilians throughout Judea and Samaria in the past month, issued a warning this evening (Wednesday) against Jews entering Joseph's Tomb.

"Entering the compound will be a death sentence for a large number of settlers," the terrorist organization said.

A limited entry of Jews into the holy site is expected tonight, the fourth night of Sukkot in which Joseph is the biblical 'guest' invited into the Sukkah. (Read more)

3. Heavy clashes across East Jerusalem as Palestinian rioting spreads - Times of Israel

Rioting Palestinians clashed with Israeli police in several locations across East Jerusalem Wednesday night, as forces continued to hint for a Palestinian suspected of a deadly shooting attack on a checkpoint days earlier.

Protesters hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails, launched fireworks and set tires and garbage dumpsters on fire in several neighborhoods, blocking roads as they faced off against Border Police officers deployed in Palestinian areas of the capital.

Two officers were lightly injured from what authorities suspected was shrapnel from pipe bombs hurled at them in Issawiya, Jerusalem police said. (Read more)

4. Government votes to advance Lebanon maritime border deal - Times of Israel

Israeli government ministers voted Wednesday to move to the final stage of the approval process for the maritime border agreement with Lebanon.

The full cabinet gave its blessing to the deal hours after the smaller security cabinet voted to back it. The US-brokered proposal will now go to the Knesset, where lawmakers will have 14 days to review it before the government can give its final approval.

“There is importance and urgency in reaching a maritime agreement between Israel and Lebanon at this time,” according to a summary of the security cabinet meeting by Prime Minister Yair Lapid that ministers approved. (Read more)

5. Israeli lawmaker under fire for claiming IDF ‘executes’ Arab children - World Israel News

A far-left Israeli lawmaker came under fire Wednesday, after he accused the Israeli military of executing Palestinian Arab children.

MK Ofer Cassif, the sole Jewish MK in the Joint Arab Party who is running again for Knesset on the Hadash-Ta’al slate, spoke at a campaign event Tuesday, blaming the recent string of Arab terror attacks on Israel’s security establishment and accusing the IDF of executing Palestinian Arab children.

The comments were first revealed by Israel Hayom Wednesday, which obtained and published footage from the campaign event. “The root cause is the occupation, it is an injustice in and of itself,” Cassif said. (Read more)

1. Delaware Supreme Court rules vote-by-mail, same-day registration laws are unconstitutional - Fox News

Delaware’s Supreme Court on Friday ruled that recently passed laws allowing universal vote by mail and same-day registration are unconstitutional, marking a win for state Republicans who had rallied against the legislation.

The court found that the two moves conflict with the registration and absentee voter categories outlined in the First State’s constitution. It upheld a prior ruling by the state’s vice chancellor, which rejected the vote-by-mail law, while overturning his upholding of the Election Day registration law.

The bills were passed in the final days of the state’s recent General Assembly, which ended in June. Democrats had previously tried to amend the state's constitution but had not managed to secure the two-thirds support needed. (Read more)

- Lord God we pray that the Body of Christ would see voting as a natural part of faithful obedience and love for our neighbors. We pray specifically that voters would be informed on the constitutional amendments on their ballot and vote for godly values. In Jesus name amen.

2. Gender Dysphoria Diagnoses for Children Soared 70% in 2021 - The Daily Signal

Childhood gender dysphoria diagnoses soared 70% from 2020 to 2021, according to medical records of 330 million Americans analyzed by Komodo Health Inc, Reuters reported Thursday.

The findings reveal a massive uptick in gender dysphoria diagnoses for children aged 6 to 17, with at least 121,882 children receiving that diagnosis in the five years leading up to 2021, according to Reuters. While most children who are diagnosed with the disorder do not medically transition, the rate of children on puberty blockers more than doubled from 2017 to 2021 to just over 5,000.

The data aligns with other findings outlining the rapid rise in transgender identities among adolescents, but it’s less clear why the trend accelerated so rapidly in 2020. Some have attributed the youth transgender trend to social contagion, citing the popularity of trans videos on TikTok and other social media platforms, while others have pointed to school programming on gender identity issues for young children. - Heavenly Father, help us to do whatever You have called us to do to stand for the children in our nation. Help us all to take the opportunity to vote as we think about the impact of policies of the people we elect. Help us to disciple the children and young adults You have placed within our care, teaching them to know their identity in you. And deliver them from the evil one, we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

3. Nuclear Risks Rising: Putin Now 'a Cornered Animal', Retaliates for Crimea Bridge Attack - Christian world news

Global leaders are raising fresh concerns that the world is getting closer to a nuclear weapons strike due to escalations on several separate fronts.

North Korea confirms that a recent barrage of missile launches was the simulated use of tactical battlefield nukes. This comes as Russia, which has threatened to use nuclear weapons on Ukraine, unleashed a new barrage of missile attacks against its neighbor this morning.

Communist North Korea says seven recent missile launches, including two on Sunday, were drills of its tactical nuclear operation units, training to wipe out U.S. and South Korean targets. The regime in Pyongyang is upset over recent joint U.S.-South Korean live-fire exercises in the region. (Read more)

In the name of Jesus we come against war, destruction, and chaos in Russia, Ukraine, North Korea and the entire world! We command this storm of nuclear threats to cease and desist, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray! Amen.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

4.  Judge rules that Trump must sit for deposition in defamation lawsuit - Washington Examiner

Former President Donald Trump is required to sit next week for a defamation lawsuit filed by a woman who claimed he raped her in the 1990s, a judge ruled Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan rejected a request from Trump’s lawyers asking for the deposition to be delayed. Kaplan stated that Trump has tried on numerous occasions to delay the collection of evidence in the lawsuit and that he "should not be permitted to run the clock out" on author E. Jean Carroll, the plaintiff in this case.

“Given his conduct so far in this case, Mr. Trump’s position regarding the burdens of discovery is inexcusable,” Kaplan wrote. “As this Court previously has observed, Mr. Trump has litigated this case since it began in 2019 with the effect and probably the purpose of delaying it.” (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank you that you are protecting President Donald Trump. We thank you that you are giving him wisdom, as well as all of his advisers and lawyers wisdom, about the best way to handle this case. And we just continue to decree that no weapon formed against Trump shall prosper. In Jesus name amen.

- “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you…” (Isaiah 54:17)

5. Treasury Department inspector general to audit DeSantis migrant flight spending - Fox News

The Treasury Department inspector general confirmed in a letter to Democratic lawmakers that the agency is planning to audit whether spending by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on migrant flights was improper.

The lawmakers asked the Treasury Department to look into whether Florida improperly used American Rescue Plan funds for the migrant flights to Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, which drew widespread media attention.

Florida lawmakers authorized a $12 million migrant program funded with interest earnings from the federal Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund, according to documents.

- Lord God, there has already been an admission that DeSantis did nothing wrong. We thank you in advance for protecting those, like DeSantis, that are bold and courageous and choose to do what’s right for those who elected him. We continue to pray that those who are slandering him with false accusations will be exposed in Jesus name amen.

- “Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure.” (Psalm 101:5)

6. Fearing war in Xi's next term, Taiwan bolsters defences - Reuters

Taiwan is bolstering its defences and steeling itself for the possibility of war with China as leader Xi Jinping readies to assume a third term in power and tries to achieve what no predecessor has done by taking control of the island.

Xi has made no secret of his desire to make democratically ruled Taiwan a part of the People's Republic of China - peacefully if possible but with force if needed - to cement his legacy in the history books.

China's war games near Taiwan in August pushed tensions to their highest in decades, reigniting fears of conflict that have loomed ever since the defeated Republic of China government fled to the island in 1949 after loosing a civil war to Mao Zedong's communists. (Read more)

- In the name of Jesus Christ we forbid war to take place with China and Taiwan or any other country in the world. We bind fear, chaos, and destruction and the spirits working behind these evil regimes from manifesting in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

 8. Biden labor proposal shakes up gig economy that relies on contractors - Reuters

U.S. Department of Labor rule proposed Tuesday would make it more difficult for companies to treat workers as independent contractors, a change that is expected to shake up ride-hailing, delivery and other industries that rely on gig workers.

Gig company stocks were hammered by the news, with Uber (UBER. N), Lyft (LYFT. O) and DoorDash (DASH. N) all falling at least 10%.

The proposal would require that workers be considered employees, entitled to more benefits and legal protections than contractors, when they are "economically dependent" on a company. It could have wide-ranging impacts on company profits and hiring, household incomes and worker quality of life. (Read more)

- Lord God, as the economy increases in its instability we just pray Lord that you will continue to counsel the Biden administration on the best policies to grow our economy instead of hurting it even more. We pray for Biden and his administration that they would turn from their ways and seek you and all they do in the name of Jesus amen.

- “For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live.” (Amos 5:4)

9. Saudis Decided to Cut Oil Production After Biden Fist-Bump Summit - Brietbart

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally ordered a drop in oil production increases after leftist American President Joe Biden met with him in Riyadh this summer, the Wall Street Journal claimed in a report citing anonymous rumors on Tuesday.

The meeting between bin Salman, commonly referred to as MBS, and Biden has been colloquially dubbed the “fist-bump summit” after a bizarre photo emerged of the two leaders smiling and bumping fists. The photo was taken as a sign that Biden had abandoned his campaign promise to turn Saudi Arabia, a longtime American ally in the Middle East, into a “pariah” state in response to the gruesome 2018 killing of Islamist Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Most reports citing White House insiders indicated that the objective of the Biden visit was to convince Saudi leaders to increase oil supplies in order to lower prices. Biden himself, in a Washington Post article, denied that this was the case, but did not identify any other concrete objectives. Biden has refused to contemplate the possibility of increasing American oil production to drop prices. (Read more)

-Lord God, we pray that these rumors are not true. We pray Lord that the truth would come out and that you would expose what the Biden administration and what other governments of the world are trying to do to decrease oil and energy resources hurting the citizens of the world. We pray that the government will no longer be able to lie to the people they serve and that the truth will be revealed in Jesus name amen.

10. Joe Biden-Brokered Railroad Union Deal Falls Apart - Brietbart

President Joe Biden’s tentative railroad union deal fell apart on Monday after a freight rail workers union rejected it, raising fears of a looming strike. The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Division of the Teamsters rejected the deal on the grounds that management refused to offer paid time off to workers for sickness or family emergencies.

“Railroaders are discouraged and upset with working conditions and compensation and hold their employer in low regard. Railroaders do not feel valued,” Union President Tony D. Cardwell said in a statement. (Read more)

- Righteous Judge, we put the railroad workers in Your hands and thank You for Your lovingkindness.  We pray for justice and ask that all employees would turn to You in the midst of employment challenges, in Jesus name.

Stupidocrisy: Bureaucratic Medicine

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 12, 2022

A study of nearly 31,000 people conducted by Moderna and Kaiser Permanente found that those who received three Moderna mRNA doses of COVID-19 vaccine were more likely to contract COVID than unvaccinated people. The study also concluded that the four-dose vaccine effectiveness disappeared beyond 90 days altogether. In a separate study, Swedish researchers also concluded that vaccine effectiveness turned negative, “indicating that vaccinated individuals experienced a higher risk of infection than those unvaccinated.” In short, these studies confirm what many medical doctors have been saying since the government and business mandates of the COVID vaccines. But it gets worse.

On October 7, Florida’s Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo recommended against males 18-39 receiving the mRNA vaccines. A vaccine safety evaluation by Florida’s Department of Health concluded “there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination. With a high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac-related death among men in this age group. Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks…Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision.” Read More

Election integrity is endangered
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.

Americans have plenty of reason to be concerned about the integrity of the upcoming, critical midterm elections. The systems that enabled widespread and decisive fraud in the 2020 presidential race remain largely in place. Many officials and the media deride worries on that score as “election denial” and “the Big Lie.”

Yet, Los Angeles’ radical leftist prosecutor George Gascon just indicted the CEO of Konnech, a firm that collects and maintains data on election officers and poll workers, for storing such sensitive information in Communist China. Congressman Ralph Norman warns that they “might be targets for blackmail, election interference, or other nefarious purposes.”

Rep. Norman is right. He’s among those who have received “The Brief” – a short video presentation every American and candidate for their votes ought to take aboard now. You can do that, and share it, today at CCPatWar.com.

Julia turns deadly, unleashes flooding rain in Central America
Officials in Central America blamed more than two dozen deaths on the storm's hazardous impacts, which included devastating flooding and mudslides.

The death toll from Hurricane Julia in Central America rose to more than two dozen on Tuesday as rescue and recovery efforts continued in multiple countries.

According to an NPR report, at least 28 fatalities in Central America have been attributed to Julia. This includes at least one in Nicaragua, four in Honduras, nine in El Salvador and 14 in Guatemala.

Julia completed its rare crossover from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean on Monday, one day after making landfall as a Category 1 hurricane in Nicaragua, unleashing torrential, flooding downpours in the process and leaving hundreds of thousands without power.

Julia made landfall near Pearl Lagoon, Nicaragua, at 3:15 a.m. EDT Sunday, with maximum sustained winds of 85 miles per hour. Julia lost wind intensity while over the rugged terrain of Nicaragua and was downgraded to a tropical storm by the National Hurricane Center late on Sunday morning. It was downgraded into a tropical depression near the coasts of El Salvador and Guatemala on Monday morning, before dissipating entirely Monday evening. Read More

The Good News Corner
$3,000 for Each Unborn Baby:
GA Residents Can Claim Tax Exemptions for Children Still in the Womb
Following the Supreme Court's ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, the Georgia Department of Revenue announced that residents can claim a personal exemption of $3,000 for each unborn child. The new rule, known as the Living Infants Fairness and Equality Act or LIFE Act, recognizes each unborn person as a human life as soon as their heartbeat is detected. The department has issued the following guidance on the measure: "A taxpayer who has an unborn child or children on or after July 20 through December 31, 2022, with a detectable human heartbeat may claim a dependent personal exemption in the amount of $3,000 for each unborn child on their 2022 tax return." The department goes on to say that like other deductions, relevant medical records must be provided to support the dependent claim.

While it is unclear how the law would apply to miscarriages, pro-lifers applaud the idea behind the move. Elizabeth Reed is the Leadership Director of Georgia Life Alliance, a group that lobbied legislators to approve the measure. "I think this act, and then other measures we have worked really hard on here in Georgia, provide a lot of wraparound services and support to the women who need it most who are facing a crisis in their pregnancy," Reed told CBN News. Reed hopes the new law shows struggling expectant mothers that there is help. "Even if the baby's father is not supportive or maybe they don't have a supportive family network or support system. They're not alone. They're going to have one through the pro-life movement, through the church and through the state," explained Reed.

Pastor Garland Hunt of the Father's House in Norcross, GA agrees with the state's action. "That child is a person that's growing in what should be the most protected place for a child to grow, inside its mother's womb," Hunt said in an interview with CBN News. "So certainly, any provision that can help a mother be a mother I think is a good thing." Meanwhile, Reed hopes other states will adopt similar policies in support of life. "I really am encouraged by all the attention that we're getting across the nation about this law," she said. "I think that that's making the case for our compelling interest in protecting and supporting life in the womb." (CBN) Read More Here.
- Father, we thank You for the support being given to those in Georgia to safeguard babies in the womb! We decree, in Jesus name, that this new law will be implemented across America to encourage families to protect life. Thank You for giving wisdom to lawmakers to create wise solutions to help end abortion across America! In Jesus powerful name, we pray-Amen

How Can I Keep From Singing?

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words: Robert Lowry
Music: Ira Sankey

Scripture: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Psalm 146:2

Lyrics:
My life flows on in endless song;
Above earth’s lamentation
I hear the sweet though far off hymn
That hails a new creation:
Through all the tumult and the strife
I hear the music ringing;
It finds an echo in my soul—
How can I keep from singing?

What though my joys and comforts die?
The Lord my Savior liveth;
What though the darkness gather round!
Songs in the night He giveth:
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that refuge clinging;
Since Christ is Lord of Heav’n and earth,
How can I keep from singing?

I lift mine eyes; the cloud grows thin;
I see the blue above it;
And day by day this pathway smoothes
Since first I learned to love it:
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart,
A fountain ever springing:
All things are mine since I am His—
How can I keep from singing?
