to hold Hurricane Helene benefit show

Undeniable country icons, past and present, are coming together to benefit their beloved Western North Carolina. Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings and James Taylor will headline the "Concert for Carolina" benefit show on Oct. 26 at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers. The event will be hosted by ESPN's Marty Smith and Barstool Sports' Caleb Pressley and will feature additional artists to be announced. Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority will present the event. Tickets for the show will go on sale on Thursday at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT. By Sept. 30, Combs, a Huntersville, North Carolina, native who credits a 300-mile northwestern North Carolina radius between his alma mater of Appalachian State University in Boone and Asheville as fundamental to his personal and professional roots, posted on social media that he was working on planning "something really special" to help his community. "We are doing everything we can to get you the help you need now," country superstar Church added. Church is a native of Granite Falls, North Carolina, roughly an hour north of Combs' Huntersville. Church and Combs started reaching out to organize an event to raise critical funds for relief efforts. Those included a call to David Tepper and his wife, Nicole. Tepper owns the Carolina Panthers, MLS team Charlotte FC and Bank of America Stadium. The Teppers offered the stadium as the venue for the benefit concert. All proceeds from the event, including sponsorships, will be split 50/50 between Combs and Church's Chief Cares Foundation to administer to organizations of their choosing in support of relief efforts across the Carolinas and the Southeast.

Hurricane Milton Leaves 3 Million Without Power in Florida
|
|
Hurricane Milton made landfall at Siesta Key, Florida as a Category 3 storm, but weakened more than expected after it touched down. Ninety minutes after landfall, it had slowed to Category 2, and crossed into the Atlantic as a Category 1 on Thursday morning.
At least 6 people are confirmed dead.
Four fatalities resulted from a tornado that struck near St. Lucie County. The hurricane also spawned tornadoes near the Everglades and Fort Myers.
St. Petersburg has reported two more deaths, one from a medical incident, another whose cause is still unknown.
3.2 million homes and businesses remain without power.
Storm surges for Milton were not as bad as feared—or as bad as Hurricane Helene—but did reach 8 to 10 feet in Sarasota County.
Rainfall peaked at 18 inches in some areas, and Gov. Ron DeSantis warned that this could result in prolonged flooding over the next few days. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

- Abba, we give You HIGH PRAISE for answering the prayers of Your people. You determined what Hurricane Milton could and couldn't do, and it did not do the extensive damage expected!! Praise You!! We ask for Your hand to continue to minimize the effects that are now facing all who were in harm's way, bring answers to problems that seem to have no answers. Father God, You know how to redeem all negative circumstances and restore all that has been lost. Holy Spirit, pour out Your comfort and love on all who have been hurt by this storm, all who have lost loved ones, all who have lost their homes and businesses. Jesus, bring Your presence, let Your peace and calm reassure Your kids that You do see, You do know, You will move in response to their cries. We ask this in the name Jehovah, the God who is present, accessible and near to those who call on HIm for deliverance and guidance.

Hurricanes and Hidden Agendas: Can Weather Be Altered?

Prophecy News Watch - This normally doesn't happen. During regular times, a hurricane is not supposed to go from Category 1 to Category 5 in less than a day. At this moment, the roads out of the Tampa Bay area are absolutely jammed with vehicles as local residents attempt to get out of the path of the coming storm.
We literally just witnessed one of the most destructive hurricanes in U.S. history, and now we are being told that Hurricane Milton could also be one of the most destructive hurricanes in U.S. history. So what in the world is going on here?
When I woke up on Monday morning, I was shocked to learn that Hurricane Milton had developed into a Category 5 storm with sustained wins of 160 mph...
With winds of 160 mph, Milton has strengthened into the second Category 5 hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. Hurricane Beryl was the first storm to reach Category 5 status, doing so while it was traversing the Caribbean Sea in early July.
Milton was only a tropical storm on Sunday morning, but winds ramped up at a tremendous pace, spiking from 60 mph to 160 mph in just 28 hours. Additionally, an abundance of lighting has been flashing around the eye of Milton, an indication that it could still be strengthening. (Read more)

We ask You to bring to light all those who are purposefully seeding clouds and other techniques to increase the size and destructiveness of hurricanes all over the world. We ask You to reveal those, like Bill Gates, whose intentions are to decrease the population for their own political control reasons. We ask that this evil be exposed for what it is, that all those involved will be held accountable for the deaths of so many people, that they will have to answer to the families of all whose lives were taken from them. The IDF Just Destroyed the Fake Lebanese Dome of the Rock
|
|
The IDF announced on Tuesday that it took operational control of a Hezbollah combat compound in Maroun El Ras, in southern Lebanon, a site noted for its “Iranian Gardens” containing a replica of the gold Dome of the Rock. Used as a Hezbollah outpost, the compound contained significant amounts of weapons. When the IDF moved on, the pseudo-Dome of the Rock, used as a mosque, was no longer standing.
The location, overlooking the border with Israel, was located 700 meters from the border and posed a direct threat to northern Israeli communities.
The location reportedly included a residential building and an olive grove. A rocket launcher, loaded and aimed at Israel, was discovered on the premises. Hezbollah terrorists had used the site as living quarters.
Inside the building, IDF forces uncovered a staging area and a significant stockpile of weapons, including guns, anti-tank missiles, camouflage nets, and military vests. Additional launchers were hidden in the kitchen. (Israel365News) Read more here.

1. IDF soldiers warn they will stop reporting if gov't does not advance a hostage deal - Jerusalem Post
138 IDF soldiers, 17 of whom are in their regular service and the rest of whom are in reserves, have signed a letter expressing that they cannot continue to serve if the government does not advance a hostage deal, organizers behind the initiative told The Jerusalem Post Thursday.
Some have signed as an indication that they are actively stopping their service, while others, as a warning that they are reaching a breaking point. Some signed in support of the concept but have not stopped their service, or threatened they will do so imminently. Among those signed on the letter are several officers.
“We, who serve and have served dedicatedly, while risking our lives, announce that if the government does not change direction immediately and work to advance a deal to bring the hostages home, we cannot continue to serve,” read the letter, addressed to the prime minister, defense minister, and IDF leadership. 2. Israel’s Security Cabinet to vote on response to Iranian attack - JNS
Israel’s Security Cabinet was set to convene on Thursday to vote on a proposal to authorize Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to determine the country’s response to last week’s Iranian missile attack.
Jerusalem has vowed a significant retaliation for Tehran’s second-ever direct attack on the Jewish state, in which more than 180 ballistic missiles were fired in two waves on the evening of Oct. 1.
The Israeli military, with the assistance of the United States and Jordan, shot down most of the missiles, with the sole casualty of the attack being a Palestinian man from Gaza who was struck by missile debris near Jericho in the Jordan Valley. (Read more)

3. ISA foils terror attack planned for Tel Aviv mall - Israel National News
Five terrorists from Tayibe, affiliated with ISIS, were arrested on suspicion of forming a terrorist cell whose aim included carrying out a car bomb attack on the Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv.
This security incident started with the arrest of the leaders of the cell – Mahmoud Azam and Ibrahim Sheikh Yosef, residents of Tayibe, who are affiliated with ISIS.
As the integrated police and Shin Bet investigation developed, it emerged that the two had planned to go to an ISIS combat zone abroad and also maintained contacts with foreign ISIS agents. It was also revealed that they recruited three more Tayibe residents – Sajd Mazarwa, Abdullah Bransi and Abdel Karim Bransi - into the cell, in order to promote terrorist activity in Israel. 4. UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem to be seized - Israel Hayom
The Israel Land Authority (ILA) is seizing the land of UNRWA's headquarters in Jerusalem, in order to build 1,440 housing units.
As the extent of UNRWA and its employees' collaboration in the massacre at Gaza border communities by Hamas and their role in providing assistance for murder, kidnapping, and more continues to be revealed, a significant step has been taken for the first time against the refugee agency.
According to information released to the public today, the entire UNRWA area in Ma'alot Dafna, Jerusalem, is slated to become a housing project with 1,440 units, and the project is in its preparatory stages. It should be noted that over the past year, families of kidnapped civilians and fallen IDF soldiers, alongside organizations such as "Im Tirtzu" and others, have protested in front of the UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem, demanding the closure of the agency's office, which has operated in the city without interference.

5. Palestinians caught looting Second Temple-era archaeological site - World Israel News
Five Palestinians were caught red-handed looting a Second Temple-period archaeological site, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced on Thursday.
The incident took place at Kherbet Umm A-Ros, an archaeological site located in the Judean Lowlands of central Israel. The site, home to remains of a Jewish community dating from the Second Temple period and the Bar-Kochba revolt.
“In these difficult times, while many of our employees serve in the reserves, the IAA remains committed to safeguarding our national heritage. These robbers sought to exploit the current instability in Israel to steal from our past. Protecting our antiquities is a national mission,” said Antiquities Authority Director Eli Escusido. 1. California Faces Wave of Lawsuits Over Gender Identity Notification in Schools - The Epoch Times
Parents are joining lawsuits challenging the statewide law that allows schools to keep social gender transitions from parents unless the child gives permission.
A mother’s tears of worry and frustration over her 17-year-old daughter’s secret social gender transition at school tell the story of what many parents are facing in California schools.
“I cry every day, not only for my daughter but for the parents that are now contacting me about their kids,” one Los Angeles County mom told The Epoch Times on the condition of anonymity to protect her daughter’s identity.
Under the pseudonym, Lena, she said her daughter, Hannah—also a pseudonym—suffered from gender dysphoriaand was secretly socially transitioned at school.
Lena is one of several parents representing nine families that joined a lawsuit filed by the City of Huntington Beach against state officials over a new law that bans parental notification policies, effectively prohibiting school staff from revealing social gender transitions of students to their parents without the child’s consent.
California is the only state to enact such a law.
Unbeknown to her parents, Hannah began secretly identifying as “trans” in 2020, when she was 13, after spending a lot of time on social media platforms.
She was homeschooled until the ninth grade, when she attended public high school and is now in her senior year. (Read more) |

2. 1 in 3 Homeschooled by 2030 as 16 Million Flee Public School, Forecast Finds - Discern Report
With the ongoing exodus from government schools continuing to gather momentum, a new forecast by education researchers predicts that almost one third of school-age children will be homeschooled by the year 2030. Just half of the student population will remain in government education by then, the analysts found.
The organization behind the predictions, a research institute known as The Learning Counsel, considered a wide array of factors in developing its forecasts of looming “significant shifts in the landscape and structures of education by 2030.” Major elements include new “choice” programs and growing resistance to union demands by governors.
According to The Learning Counsel’s predictions, only 50.26 percent of American students will remain enrolled in public schools (including government charters and “virtual” schools) six years from now. That would represent a decline of 16 million students between today and 2030, the organization said in a report about “The Future of K12 Education.” (Read more)

The Ugly and Beauty of Helene--a First-Hand Report

There has been a lot of discussion and back and forth about Hurricane Helene, its devastation and whether the “government” is doing all it can to save lives, assist with rebuilding and restore normalcy. All that aside, my friend Linda Bishop was part of a church group that actually went onsite to assist those in need. She raised money, helped with supplies, and actively participated in recovery operations in Black Mountain and Swannanoa, N.C. Her report is a testament to the nature of true Americans, bonded together as sons and daughters of the one true God, with resilience, tenacity, and kindness. She shared with The Daily Jot some of that beauty she experienced in her ventures to help.
Linda writes: “Hurricane Helene left so much devastation, some beyond comprehension. My town was hit very hard and recovery continues. There are still homes without power, but businesses are open and life is getting back to normal. But, how do we processwhat we’ve seen? How do the people in the devastated areas keep going amongst the devastation, the lives lost, homes destroyed, roads gone, towns wiped out, infrastructures destroyed, and the list goes on? In the midst of this ugly destruction there is also much beauty found in the spirt of those impacted. I’ve witnessed a mountain community of about 100 homes that had at least four large mudslides and trapped people in their homes move from 50% maneuverable roads to 100% in just two days. Northern Lights: Aurora Borealis Lights Up U.S. Skies Amid Geomagnetic Storm (Photos)

Cascades of blue, red and green were cast across the U.S. Thursday night as a geomagnetic storm pushed the aurora borealis farther south, an event forecasters said was one of the strongest in decades. (See forecast for Friday night).
The NOAA forecast a KP index of eight—higher than the average forecast of four or five—for Thursday, an event causing the northern lights to move toward the equator and become “very bright and active,” with viewers capable of seeing the “best aurora.”
A stronger northern lights forecast came amid a severe geomagnetic storm watch issued by NOAA, the first issued by the agency in nearly 20 years, cautioning possible disruption to critical infrastructure while noting the aurora borealis could be seen as far south as Alabama.
Solar activity has increased in recent months as the sun’s 11-year cycle—Solar Cycle 25—approaches an expected peak between late 2024 and early 2026, according to NASA.

Parts of the northern U.S. will have a chance of seeing the aurora, according to NOAA, including Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and Wisconsin, while those in Alaska and Canada will have a higher likelihood of viewing the phenomenon. Read More
