TODAY'S TOP STORY
SCOTUS Debates Landmark Roe Vs. Wade Case
'Scientific facts' will lead to Roe v. Wade's reversal, pro-lifers hope as SCOTUS weighs 'landmark' case

Pro-life activists are hopeful that the U.S. Supreme Court will take the opportunity to listen to “scientific” reasoning to overturn elements of Roe v. Wade as the high court has agreed to hear a challenge to a Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks of gestation. On Monday, the Supreme Court granted a writ of certiorari to the state of Mississippi, agreeing to review a unanimous decision by a three-judge panel on the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals that the Mississippi law is unconstitutional. The news comes as the court consists of six justices appointed by Republican presidents and three justices appointed by Democratic presidents, leading some to speculate if the court could strike down at least some of the Supreme Court’s precedent set in its 1973 ruling.

The CEO of the pro-life ministry Save the Storks is confident that the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to hear Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization could lead to erosion of the court's precedent defining abortion access as a national right. Save the Storks CEO Diane Ferraro told The Christian Post that she is optimistic that the Supreme Court will erode the influence of Roe.

“We know that when Roe v. Wade was passed in 1973, the court did not have all of the facts, and this was a strategic movement really on the part of … the side that was representing Roe,” she recalled. Crediting Mississippi for doing “a phenomenal job putting the science together,” Ferraro asserted that the Supreme Court has “the scientific facts on how a baby does feel pain in the womb at 15 weeks.”  According to Ferraro, “this is presenting an updated viewpoint to the Supreme Court justices for them to consider.”

“We do feel and trust and we’re praying that this will help convince them that Roe v. Wade does need to be overturned,” she said. “We are praying for the justices, that they will truly consider all of the facts and that the case will be something that they consider not with the past in mind but with the future and how they can really help empower moms. "We do feel that once they see the facts, [and] they understand the science that is presented to them as Mississippi has put together, that they won’t be able to deny what the facts are about the stages of life for that preborn baby in the womb," Ferraro added. (The Christian Post and Intercessors for America) Read more.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL
1. Israel-Morocco defense deal opens door to intel sharing, joint drills - Times of Israel

RABAT, Morocco — A top Israeli defense official said Jerusalem and Rabat will begin cooperating deeply on security issues, more freely sharing intelligence and holding joint exercises, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries on Wednesday.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz is in Morocco this week aiming to bolster defense ties between the countries, marking a rare public show of cooperation between Israel and an Arab state on sensitive security issues.

“The agreement that we signed will allow us to cooperate, with exercises, with information — this is an agreement that will allow us to assist them with whatever they need from us, in accordance — of course — with our own interests. We have a strategic alliance of knowledge,” said Zohar Palti, the head of the Defense Ministry’s Political-Military Bureau, speaking to reporters on the sideline of Gantz’s visit to Rabat, which began Wednesday.  (Read More)

2. Syrian missile entered Israeli airspace, exploded over Haifa Bay - Israel National News

At least four people were killed in a series of airstrikes against targets in Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

According to the London-based SOHR, Israeli warplanes crossed into Lebanese airspace, firing missiles while flying over the Beirut district, striking multiple targets in the Homs region.

Overnight, Syria’s official news agency, SANA, reported that the country’s air defense systems were activated following the Israeli attack and intercepted most of the missiles.

The Syrian government claimed that two people, both civilians, had been killed in the strikes, listing a third civilian as having been injured. In addition, SANA reported that six Assad regime soldiers were injured.

3. Lapid: ‘Turkey must shut down Hamas’ - World Israel News

On the heels of Sunday’s deadly terror attack which left a South African immigrant to Israel dead and widespread Monday raids in Judea and Samaria to arrest members of Hamas cells planning attacks, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid has asked Turkey to ban the terror group.

“Hamas’ offices in Istanbul will be shut down. We must prevent these heinous acts of terrorism against Israeli citizens everywhere and under any conditions,” Lapid said.

Referencing the UK’s recent decision to ban the terror group’s political wing, Lapid said that “The countries of the world must act like Britain and outlaw Hamas.” (Read More)

4.  Israel returns diplomat after positive steps by Poland -Jerusalem Post

Israeli Chargé d’Affaires Tal Ben-Ari to Poland is set to return to her post this week, after several positive steps taken by Poland, a Foreign Ministry source confirmed on Wednesday.
Ben-Ari was recalled in August, after Poland passed a law that would make it nearly impossible for Holocaust survivors and others to claim restitutionfor property seized by the Nazis and claimed by the communists, which Foreign Minister Yair Lapid sharply criticized. Poland recalled its ambassador in retaliation.

In the ensuing months, Poland took several steps that Israel viewed positively, including adopting the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance working definition of antisemitism, boycotting the Durban IV conference at the UN General Assembly and voting against the UN Human Rights Council resolution supporting the Durban Declaration, and speaking out against displays of antisemitism at a recent march in honor of Poland’s Independence Day. (Read More)
5. Female soldiers routinely harassed, Gilboa prison chief reveals -YNET News

Female IDF soldiers suffered from routine sexual harassment on the part of the security prisoners in one of the country’s most high profile prisons, and with full knowledge of the senior staff, new testimony reveals.

The phenomenon and its scope were revealed by Gilboa Prison commander, Freddy Ben Shitrit, during the Prison Service’s (IPS) inquiry into the recent escape of six inmates from the same prison, last September.
The Prisoners dug a tunnel under their cell and broke free prompting weeks long searches until they were all returned to custody.

According Ben Shitrit, as part of his job as the head of Gilboa Prison, he made it his jot to protect the soldiers stationed at the prison, after it was revealed that a former senior officer used to assign female soldiers to the prison's security bloc, despite repeated complaints of sexual harassment.

1. Leaked HHS Memo Reveals Biden Admin Seeks to Strip Americans of Religious Protections - CBN

A leaked memo from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) reveals plans by the Biden administration to make changes to Americans' First Amendment rights and other religious liberty protections. The internal memo describes plans to "sign delegation of authority on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and religion clause of the First Amendment" to the Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

It's a move that Oklahoma Republican Sen. James Lankford believes will undo religious liberty protections and disregard the First Amendment. "I am an outspoken advocate for religious liberty, and I have a very 'negative reaction' to this Administration ignoring the First Amendment and failing to protect Americans of conscience," he wrote in a statement. "Americans do not support President Biden and his team's absolute lawlessness when it comes to upholding Americans' Constitutional rights—including our right to freely live our faith."

The memo recommends HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra sign the action as soon a possible. Becerra has claimed he supports religious liberty. During his narrow Senate confirmation, 50-49, he promised to uphold religious protections. "…I believe deeply in religious freedom, and I will make sure that as Secretary of HHS that you will know that I will not only respect the law when it comes to these issues of religious freedom, but I will enforce them as Secretary of HHS within my department," he said in February. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we earnestly pray that Biden and all his handlers will be met with an army of heavenly warrior angels who will subdue and defeat all the plans and intents of this ungodly group under Biden.  Father in heaven, we pray that Your mighty dynamic power pierce the hearts of Biden and all his cohorts and holy fear come upon all of them and they be afraid to carry out their wicked plans.  In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "This its the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith."   (I John 5:4)

2.  Lee, DeSantis, Other Republican Governors Join Forces To Solve Supply Chain Crisis - Daily Wire

Fifteen Republican governors pledged to alleviate the supply chain crisis amid counterproductive policies from President Biden. Supply chain bottlenecks are decreasing the availability of inputs for American businesses and the availability of final goods for American consumers. Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg argues that the crisis is due to Biden “successfully” handling the economy. However, the governors argue in a letter to President Biden — exclusively shared with Fox News on Monday — that the administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate and other regulations are worsening the crisis.

“With 7.4 million people unemployed and 10.4 million job openings, we have a shortage of 80,000 truck drivers, an all-time high for the trucking industry,” the letter says. “With more paychecks at risk, American families are forced to pay more for food, gas, and everyday goods as inflation surges to a 30-year high under President Biden’s watch.” The governors therefore “commit to using our authority where allowable to modify weight, size, or load restrictions to allow more cargo to move more efficiently; adjust hours of service constraints to provide truck drivers more time and flexibility; deregulate education and occupational licensure barriers to get more commercial truck drivers on the road.”

They likewise promised to “convene state agencies in transportation, commerce, workforce, and other related fields to coordinate with private industry, local governments, and neighboring states where appropriate to ensure greater efficiency, connectivity, and data sharing among shippers and receivers at ports, distribution points, storage facilities, and other intrastate corridors for the expedited loading, unloading, and transport of freight.”

Led by Gov. Bill Lee (R-TN), the other signers were Gov. Ron DeSantis (FL), Gov. Greg Abbott (TX), Gov. Mike DeWine (OH), Gov. Doug Ducey (AZ), Gov. Greg Gianforte (MT), Gov. Larry Hogan (MD), Gov. Brian Kemp (GA), Gov. Brad Little (ID), Gov. Henry McMaster (SC), Gov. Mike Parson (MO), Gov. Kim Reynolds (IA), Gov. Pete Ricketts (NE), Gov. Kevin Stitt (OK), and Gov. Doug Burgum (ND). (Read more)

- Father, thank You for these governors who are taking the lead to solve the supply chain crisis. Give them wisdom and strategies to alleviate this problem.

- " . . . and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills." (Exodus 31:3)

3. Biden nominates Shalanda Young to head Office of Management and Budget - Washington Examiner

President Joe Biden nominated Shalanda Young Wednesday to serve as the director of the Office of Management and Budget. Young, who currently serves as the acting OMB director, would be the first black woman to hold that post if confirmed by the Senate. The president also nominated Nani Coloretti to serve as OMB's deputy director. Young was previously confirmed as deputy director with 13 Republican votes this past spring.
Her nomination comes as the administration and Democrat leadership hope to move Biden's roughly $2 trillion social spending bill through the Senate before the end of the year. Prior to moving to OMB, Young served as the staff director for the House Appropriations Committee and worked with Republicans and Democrats to enact roughly $3 trillion in pandemic aid.
Coloretti is a veteran of the Obama administration, who held positions at the Departments of Treasury, Housing and Urban Development, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and currently serves on the board of Bank of the West. (Read more)

- Father God, we do not know very much about these two candidates who will hold top positions at the OMB, but we do know that the Office of Management and Budget
is a key agency on Capitol Hill. As the Senate convenes to weigh these nominations, we ask that, if there is any hidden "snare" in their characters, that this information
will be revealed during the hearing, and that these nominations would fail. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

4. US lawmakers defy warnings from China to make surprise trip to Taiwan - New York Post

A bipartisan group of US lawmakers made a surprise visit to Taiwan on Friday — defying “blunt” warnings from China to stay away from the hotly contested island it considers part of its territory. The four Democrats and one Republican arrived to meet Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen at a time when the self-governing island’s tensions with China have risen to their highest level in decades.

Michigan Democrat Rep. Elissa Slotkin said that when news of her visit broke, her office “received a blunt message from the Chinese Embassy, telling me to call off the trip.”But “we’re here to learn about the region and reaffirm the U.S. commitment to our hosts, the Taiwanese,” Slotkin tweeted.

Nancy Mace, the only Republican in the group, tweeted a similar message, saying that “China’s embassy demanded we cancel the trip (we didn’t).” (Read more)

- Father, we pray protection over these lawmakers as they learn about the region. Keep them safe in their travels and may their trip be productive.

- "But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

5. CCP Influence in Congress - The Epoch Times

U.S. congresspersons are finally pushing to remove the malign influence of foreign money in the American political system. Representative Lance Gooden (R-Texas) recently introduced legislation to require think tanks to disclose foreign money received, according to a statement by Representative Jim Banks (R-Ind.), who is pushing for a Truth in Testimony resolution that requires congressional witnesses to divulge their sources of foreign funding.

Those funded by the adversaries of America—including China, North Korea, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba—would face extra scrutiny.

Representative Mike Johnson (R-La.) proposes to prohibit lobbying by former members of Congress on the part of communist regimes. A group of House Republicans wants to strengthen the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Congressman Banks said the proposed rules “would allow Committees to know when individuals are being paid for consulting or advising services to Chinese companies with internal CCP [Chinese Communist Party] committees, or companies such as Huawei and Tencent. It would also encompass witnesses who perform consulting work for oligarchs in … adversarial nations, which is often not disclosed under the Lobbying Disclosure Act [LDA] or FARA.”

Some Democrats support the measures, but quietly so far. Josh Rogin of the Washington Post, who often writes on foreign influence issues, wrote an opinion published on Nov. 23, demanding that Democrats use their majority to take action on this bipartisan issue.

“Dozens of D.C. think tanks and other policy organizations take money from foreign countries and corporations without ever disclosing the details,” Rogin wrote. “The staffers who have received this financing then write policy papers and testify before Congress, posing as objective, disinterested experts.”  (Read more)

- Father, we pray success for this legislation and that those in the political arena would be required to reveal foreign monies received.

6. State Department issues 'do not travel' warnings over Omicron COVID risks - New York Post

The US State Department on Saturday formally warned Americans against traveling to South Africa and seven of its neighbors for fear of the new COVID-19 Omicron variant. The Level 4 “do not travel” advisories were applied to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi, Lesotho, Eswatini and Botswana, one day after President Biden issued a travel ban on flights originating in those same countries to begin Monday.

The State Department reserves Level 4 advisories for nations where Americans could face “greater likelihood of life-threatening risks,” according to its website — usually due to dangers like terrorism, violent crime, and civil unrest. The department issued Level 4 warnings on Nov. 22 for travel to Germany and Denmark in the wake of record COVID surges there. (Read more)

- Father, protect us from this new variant from entering the United States. Keep us safe from this enemy! Reveal wisdom to our medical professionals on how to treat this new variant.

7.  No Cases of Omicron Virus Variant Identified in US Yet: CDC - The Epoch Times

No cases of the new Omicron virus variant have been identified in the United States as of yet, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The  CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus variant was first seen in southern Africa earlier this month and has been designated a variant of concern by the World Health Organization, which says it may be more transmissible than the Delta and Alpha strains.

“No cases of this variant have been identified in the U.S. to date,” the CDC said in a statement Friday. “CDC is continuously monitoring variants and the U.S. variant surveillance system has reliably detected new variants in this country. We expect Omicron to be identified quickly, if it emerges in the U.S.,” the agency added.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, a top U.S. public health official, said on the “Today” show Saturday that he “would not be surprised” if the Omicron variant was already in the United States. “When you have a virus like this, it almost invariably is ultimately going to go essentially all over,” he said. Fauci also said the genetic mutations indicate the strain will likely be more transmissible and may evade protection bestowed by vaccines. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that You will protect and stop any person(s) that are purposely directed to the United States who are infected with this Omicron virus.  Remove this ungodly control of viruses out of the hands of the Wuhan lab and Fauci.  Cleanse and protect our land from any new viruses.  We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "God makes the outgoing of the morning and the evening to rejoice."  (Psalm 65:8)

8. Omicron Variant Causes Unusual but Mild Symptoms: South African Medical Association Head - Epoch Times

The newest variant of concern of the virus that causes COVID-19 causes unusual symptoms but those symptoms are mild, a top South African doctor says. Dr. Angelique Coetzee practices in Pretoria, the capital of South Africa, one of the countries where the Omicron CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus variant was first detected earlier this month. Coetzee recalled seeing a variety of patients enter with symptoms not associated with other CCP virus strains, including a high pulse rate. “Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before,” Coetzee told The Telegraph.

Most of the patients who turned up to her clinic and have tested positive for COVID-19 felt tired. Other symptoms included sore muscles and a slight cough, Coetzee added to Sputnik. “There are no prominent symptoms. Of those infected, some are currently being treated at home,” she said.

People with the Omicron variant were also identified in Botswana and later detected in a slate of other areas, including Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Many nations have barred or restricted travel from southern Africa over the variant, citing concerns that it’s more transmissible.

But top South African scientists told reporters Friday that little is known yet about Omicron. Scientists are trying to gather more information about its transmissibility . . . (Read more)

- Father God, once again regarding this new CCP virus, we find ourselves in the fog of war. Only You, Holy One, know all the answers needed with this new disease. We ask You to please grant Your wisdom to those who are in authority, and to the medical practictioners as they work to know how to treat this illness. Thank You, Lord, also that so far, according to this report, the symptoms are mild. Help us to not panic or to overreact in the face of this new possible pandemic. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- "The LORD has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

9. The New COVID-19 Variant From South Africa: What We Know So Far - The Epoch Times

South African scientists discovered a new variant of COVID-19 that they say might be behind the recent surge of infections in the country, resulting in panic across the world as countries fear the international spread of the highly mutated variation.

South Africa was experiencing a rate of 200 new daily confirmed cases until recently when the number suddenly spiked to 2,465 on Thursday. Scientists studied virus samples from the outbreak—found mostly concentrated in Gauteng the most populous province in the country and home to Johannesburg—and discovered the new variant that the WHO named Omicron on Friday.

“Here is a mutation variant of serious concern,” Health Minister Joe Phaahla said at a media briefing Thursday. Phaahla said that the latest variant was behind the “exponential rise” of cases, but experts are still trying to confirm it, as establishing an actual connection takes time.

Currently, there are no indications that the variant has arrived in the United States. Most of the cases are still concentrated in South Africa with others being reported in Botswana, Israel, and Hong Kong, where the infection was identified in travelers coming from South Africa. Belgium reported its first case of the variant on Friday.

Many Mutations

South African scientist Tulio de Oliveira said in the Thursday media briefing that the Omicron variant has been discovered to have a “unique constellation” of greater than 30 mutations to its spike proteins, which is significantly higher than the delta variant. As spike proteins bind to infected cells, a high number of mutations can affect how easily the variant spreads among the population. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we reach up and hold onto Your hand as You direct this new Omicron virus to be weak and non- contagious, and as You transform this threat into a non-threatening disease in the United States.   God, by the power of the Blood of Jesus, remove the Chinese virus curse off the world and let victory reign in all the world.  We pray in the Name of Jesus;.

- "O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps."  (Jeremiah 10:23)

10. 3 dead, more than 100,000 without power after ‘horrendous’ winter storm hits ‘wide swathe’ of U.K. - New York Daily News

A massive winter storm that hit large parts of the United Kingdom has left at least three people dead, and more than 100,000 without power, according to Met Office, the country’s national weather service.

Storm Arwen was “the first named storm of the season, with strong damaging winds and a mixture of rain, sleet and snow across many areas of the country,”  Met Office said in a statement Saturday afternoon.

“The storm caused powercuts, transport disruption, and [fallen trees],” officials said, adding that Arwen also caused “large coastal waves and blizzards [that] affected some hills.”

The Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon urged people to stay indoors on Friday after a “rare red weather warning” was issued to parts of northeast Scotland and northeast England.

“Do not travel, as conditions pose a potential risk to life,”  Sturgeon tweeted, highlighting the warning by using all caps. (Read more)

- Father, we speak calm to these winter storms. Protect us from the destructive effects of these storms. May they dissipate and come to nothing.

- "Then the LORD will appear over them; his arrow will flash like lightning. The Sovereign LORD will sound the trumpet; he will march in the storms of the south, "(Zechariah 9:14)

Scott Grant Stewart Will Argue Against Roe V. Wade

[Please note: we ran an article about Scott Grant Stewart on our Special Edition this past Friday. Below please find more information about this amazing young man, who
will stand before the Supreme Court Justices on Wednesday on behalf of all of us. Your continued prayer support for Scott Grant Stewart is welcomed.]

The attorney set to argue against Roe V. Wade in the much-awaited United States Supreme Court review on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health case this December 1 is a former clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas and also served under President Donald Trump's Administration.

Life News reported that Scott Grant Stewart was appointed by Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch last March as Solicitor General to prosecute fraud on Medicaid. Steward was appointed alongside William Lamar who will be his Special Assistant Attorney General.

Yall Politics explained that Stewart's position makes him Mississippi's appellate litigation lead advocate. He will also be part of the Attorney General's team for crafting significant cases' strategies. As such, he will then be "fighting" for the state in an important case such as the Dobbs v. Jackson that Fitch in July asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn along with Roe v. Wade.

Fitch sent the court a 49-page brief pointing out how "egregiously wrong" Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood is for it impacts the constitutionality of state decisions to ban abortions they deem appropriately needed by their constituency.

The Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case is a lawsuit filed against the state of Mississippi for banning abortions for 15 weeks of pregnancy. The said law, the Gestational Act, was signed by former Governor Phil Bryant.

The lawsuit was brought to the level of the Supreme Court which in May agreed to decide on the constitutionality of states banning abortions beyond 15 weeks of pregnancy, through the landmark case Dobbs v. Jackson--a review that many Democrats fear while many Republicans confidently anticipate would overturn Roe v. Wade.

Stewart is then expected to contend the constitutional right of those who oppose the Mississippi Gestational Act as having "no basis in text, structure, history, or tradition."

South Texas College of Law Houston Professor Josh Blackmon said the Dobbs v. Jackson case has a significant role to play in Stewart's career but more so for conservatives.

"(Dobbs v. Jackson) is going to be a very significant case, not just for (Stewart's) career but for the conservative legal movement. There's an entire movement that's behind him and supporting him," Blackman said in an interview with The Washington Post.

- Lord God, we are grateful to now know the name of the one who has been chosen to argue on behalf of LIFE in the Mississippi case next week. We lift up Scott Steward before Your Throne of Grace in the days to come, asking for Your hand of protection to rest upon him and all who are in his household.

We ask that You would grant him with "wisdom from above" -- even as You gave wisdom to King Solomon -- as he stands before the nine justices on the Court next week, with a skill that will astound and confound his enemies Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen!

Airline makes history on journey to the ‘end of the world’
Thanks to a perfect forecast and a skilled pilot, one airline was recently able to land an Airbus 340 in one of the harshest environments on Earth.

Charter airplane operator Hi Fly successfully landed an Airbus A340 on the frozen landscape of Antarctica for the first time ever on Nov. 2, opening the door for tourists, scientists and cargo to be delivered to the continent on a much larger plane.

The aircraft, which took off from Cape Town, South Africa, and traveled 2,500 nautical miles to Antarctica, was piloted by Captain Carlos Mirpuri. The flight carried 23 passengers and plenty of cargo and landed safely on the unique conditions of a blue glacial ice runway.

The weather was beautiful during takeoff in Cape Town, with the Airbus A340's departure delayed only slightly due to bird activity over the runway. At takeoff, the plane weighed in below the maximum weight of 275 tons.
Mirpuri and his co-pilot received frequent weather reports approaching the flight's final destination, Wolf Fang Runway in Antarctica. Landings can be attempted only when the weather is nearly perfect. Read More

"The Holy Spirit Led Me":
Christian Singer Rhett Walker Opens Up About Choosing Life Over Abortion
When His Now-Wife Became Pregnant at 17
“I only know the Holy Spirit led me to say those words to April, when I told her, ‘You’ve gotta trust me.’ Because I didn’t have a plan.”

It was the summer before his senior year of high school when Christian recording artist Rhett Walker found out his 17-year-old girlfriend was pregnant with their now-16-year-old daughter, Rileigh.

Abortion was on the table. In fact, Walker’s now-wife April had an appointment scheduled. But then God intervened through the moving of the Holy Spirit, and Walker told Faithwire he knew in that moment keeping their unborn child “was the only option.”

“With our culture, we’re all selfish,” Walker said. “We’re inclined to selfishness. The world says [abortion] would have been the easier option: ‘Just keep dating. Don’t be parents yet.’ I can’t imagine life without Rileigh, our 16-year-old, and I can’t imagine where me and April would be if we wouldn’t have walked that hard road.”

Having grown up in a proverbial glass house as a pastor’s child, Walker readily admits to the mistakes he has made, but he’s also unapologetically grateful for the ways God has redeemed his missteps.

In hindsight, the “Good to Me” singer said, he knows now that God “takes the mess-ups and He goes, ‘Just watch what I’m gonna do with this story.’”

“To see what God has done in our lives and to see how He’s positioned us now into spots we dreamed about when we were 17 — I really only believe we are here and walking this path because me and April were faithful, even when it was scary,” Walker reflected. “We’re just flawed individuals, and we’ve screwed it up, and we will again … but we fight for each other and we love each other, and that’s what’s most important. And Jesus is at the center of it.”

“We put our eyes on Jesus, and have been walking that way ever since,” he added. (Read more)

Day #11: The 4th Trumpet Judgment ~ Dim the Lights
TODAY'S REPENTANCE REFLECTION:
Judgment Trumpet #4 ~ Partial Blackout

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

~Revelation 8:12-13 (KJV, underline emphasis added)

Remember the last time you were in a theater awaiting the beginning of a movie or a play? Just before the show began, someone dimmed the lights and a hush fell over the crowd. This is the point we have arrived at in today's lesson on Judgment Trumpet #4. After this 4th Trumpet Judgment comes to pass, there are three final Trumpets but they are described as the "Trumpets of Woe." So, if we thought it has been disturbing up to this point, the dimming of the heavenly lights indicates that we haven't even begun to see how dreadfully awful it is now going to get.

Words: Joseph Mohr
Music: Franz Gruber

Scripture: There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. Luke 2:8–9

Lyrics:
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and Child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight;
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born!

Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love’s pure light;
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

Silent night, holy night
Wondrous star, lend thy light;
With the angels let us sing,
Alleluia to our King;
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born!
