Iranian Brig.-Gen. urges destruction of Israel prior to nuke talks

The spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces, Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, on Saturday urged the total elimination of the Jewish state during an interview with an Iranian regime-controlled media outlet. "We will not back off from the annihilation of Israel, even one millimeter. We want to destroy Zionism in the world,” Shekarchi told the Iranian Students News Agency. Shekarchi’s genocidal antisemitic remarks come just days before the nuclear talks are set to restart in Vienna Monday on curbing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s illicit nuclear program.

The Iranian general also blasted Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates for normalizing diplomatic relations with Israel, terming the diplomacy “intolerable” for Iran’s clerical regime. "Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and other countries considered as Muslims, for us they part of the Zionist regime and this is very important," said Shekarchi.

Shekarchi has previously lashed out at Israel, saying that Iran’s regime can  “level Haifa and Tel Aviv in the shortest possible time.”

Sheina Vojoudi, an Iranian dissident who fled the Islamic Republic and now lives in Germany, told The Jerusalem Post that "A normal Iranian government, made by the Iranian people, would try to normalize ties with Israel. We could have great deals which can help both nations. Israeli water technology can help us to pass a serious water problem in Iran and an Iranian government would try to exchange knowledge about environmental issues especially water scarcity that we're facing right now but the Islamic Republic instead of solving all these problems, plans for the destruction of Israel and shoots  people who ask for water."

She added that "This regime is ruining Iran and some other countries in the Middle East and makes the region a war zone. We have domestic problems and our people never think of fighting other countries. They don't even know why they should hate Israel. Our people will be happy to use Israeli water technology instead of planning to destroy Israel. We must save our country from this evil regime and turn the occupied Iran to a free Iran." (Jerusalem Post) Read more.

- Oh Holy Father, we say NO to this demonic regime and venomous words of Gen. Shekarchi! By the authority given to us in Christ Jesus, we shatter all plans of the enemy to destroy Your People! We bind all attempts of Iran to build nuclear weapons for the destruction of Israel. We pray for Your continual protection over all nuclear discussions as You shield Your people under the shadow of Your wings.

- "Arise, O Lord! Do not let mere mortals defy you! Judge the nations!" (Psalm 9:19)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Lighting candle at Hebron shrine, Herzog says Jewish connection is ‘unquestionable’ - Times of Israel

President Isaac Herzog said Sunday that the Jewish connection to Hebron is “unquestionable,” as he lit a menorah for the first night of Hanukkah at a shrine in the West Bank city, while dozens of left-wing protesters gathered nearby.

Demonstrators protesting the president’s visit to the contested city had been blocked by troops from entering Hebron itself, where the Tomb of the Patriarchs is located. A rarely used order meant to head off public disturbances was applied to the entrance to the Kiryat Arba settlement, the main access route to the holy site.

Speaking at the shrine, also known as the Cave of the Patriarchs and known to Muslims as the Ibrahimi Mosque, Herzog said the Jewish connection to the city and the tomb are “beyond all controversy.” (Read More)

2. Hamas calls for violence over Herzog's Hebron candle-lighting - YNET News

Palestinian militant group Hamas called for unrest in the West Bank, following news that President Isaac Herzog would light the first candle of Hanukkah at a contested religious site located in Hebron on Sunday.

The Tomb of the Patriarchs is a biblical site that hosts both Jewish prayer sanctuaries as well as the Ibrahimi Mosque, making the site a friction point between Israelis and Palestinians.

A Hamas official called the planned candle-lighting ceremony as a “provocation” and an “attack,” adding that any resulting violence would be the fault of Israel.

“The Israeli occupation must bear full responsibility for the consequences of this attack,” senior Hamas member Ismail Radwan said, adding the ceremony will provoke the Palestinians who view the act as a “blatant desecration of the sanctity of the mosque.”
He then called on Palestinians to resist the move. (Read More)

3. Israel barring tourists, renewing travel quarantine rules to contain Omicron variant - Times of Israel

The high-level coronavirus cabinet on Saturday night approved fresh restrictions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, with ministers voting to ban non-citizens from entering the country for two weeks.

The new rules going into effect on Sunday night will see foreign nationals barred from entering Israel for 14 days, unless they receive special permission from a government panel. Israel reopened to foreign tourism in early November, for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Ministers on Saturday night also expanded mandatory quarantine for vaccinated Israelis arriving from abroad and gave the Shin Bet security agency the go-ahead to resume tracking infected people, according to Hebrew media reports. (Read More)

4. Israel Behind Cyberattack on Iranian Gas Stations, Say US Officials - Algemeiner

JNS.org – Israel was behind a cyberattack on Iran’s fuel distribution system in late October that paralyzed the Islamic Republic’s 4,300 gas stations, according to The New York Times.

The report, published over the weekend, quoted two US defense officials speaking on the condition of anonymity.

The attack came on the heels of previous cyberattacks in recent months, which shut down vital services and infrastructure in Iran—from disruptions to traffic lights and train services to water and electric supplies.

No one assumed responsibility for disabling the gas stations or for the previous attacks in Iran. In Tehran, too, officials were careful not to point a finger at the “usual suspects,” although Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that a country with cyber-capabilities wanted to “make people angry by creating disorder and disruption.”  (Read More)

5. Minister says Bennett not ‘fulfilling his potential’ as leader of change government - Times of Israel

A Yisrael Beitenu party minister known for his maverick personality said Saturday that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is not “fulfilling his potential” as Israel’s leader, while adding that coalition members should consider voting down the premier’s bills if he refuses to back legislation desired by other members of the government.

Eli Avidar, speaking at a cultural-political event in the Jerusalem suburb of Tzur Hadassah, said Bennett is “lucky — he was given a golden opportunity to be prime minister in a change government, to change the face of Israeli society… I don’t think he’s fulfilling his potential.”

He asserted that “the state of democracy is as bad as it was” under former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noting that some problematic laws passed under Netanyahu which gave him greater powers as premier had not been overturned under the new government. (Read More)

1. Rand Paul blasts Fauci: 'Astounding and alarming' to declare 'I represent science' - Fox News

Dr. Anthony Fauci escalated his spat with some lawmakers over the nation’s COVID-19response by claiming they oppose "science."

Fauci has served as the face of the government’s pandemic response, putting him at odds with lawmakers who remain critical of that response. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has frequently sparred with Fauci over various statements and policies the president’s chief medical adviser has made or endorsed.

Senator Rand Paul: The absolute hubris of someone claiming THEY represent science. It’s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity.

Fauci, during an interview with "Face the Nation," dismissed opposition from such lawmakers as "noise," saying they’re "really criticizing science."

"Anybody who’s looking at this carefully realizes that there’s a distinct anti-science flavor to this, so if they get up and criticize science, nobody’s going to know what they’re talking about," Fauci said. "But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci, well people can recognize that there’s a person there, so it’s easy to criticize, but they’re really criticizing science because I represent science."

Paul took to Twitter Sunday morning to respond to Fauci’s claims, calling it "absolute hubris" for Fauci to declare that he represents science.

"It’s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity," Paul wrote. (Read more)

- Lord, in Your authority, we decree that any veiling over this nation by Dr Fauci will fall! Remove the spirit of haughtiness and forgive him, for he knows not what he does. Thank you for the courage of Senator Rand Paul and many in the medical field who have questioned Covid fallacies spoken from Dr. Fauci's mouth. Bring any falsehoods out to the light and quickly end the spirit of confusion and fear over this nation, for our HOPE is in You alone!  Amen.

2. Taiwan scrambles air force fighters to warn off 27 Chinese jets in buffer zone - Fox News
Taiwan deployed its air force Sunday in an effort to drive back dozens of Chinese aircraft that entered its air defense space. China has repeatedly deployed aircraft into the area as part of "grey zone" warfare with the island country. Taiwanese officials fear that China executes these maneuvers to test Taiwan’s response and wear out its forces with repeated scrambles.

Taiwan claimed that around 150 aircraft from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) have entered its air defense identification zone (ADIZ) since Oct. 1, Reuters reported. The latest excursion included 18 fighter jets, five nuclear-capable H-6 bombers and a Y-20 aerial refueling jet. The squadron flew south of Taiwan into the Bashi channel separating it from the Philippines before returning to China.

The Taiwanese defense ministry charted the flight and showed how close it flew into the ADIZ. On Friday, a PLA spokesperson said the military carried out "naval and air force combat readiness patrol in the direction of the Taiwan Strait."

The maneuver follows a U.S. Congressional delegation visit to the island – the second this month in support of Taiwan, the National Review reported.

Representatives Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., Nancy Mace, R-S.C., Mark Takano D-Calif., Sara Jacobs, D-Calif., and Colin Allred, D-Texas visited the island at the same time that the PLA held a three-day military conference attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping. The PRC leader stressed the need for "military cultivation" to support and lead progress in strengthening the armed forces.

Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen pledged that her country "will continue to step up cooperation with the United States in order to uphold our shared values of freedom and democracy and to ensure peace and stability in the region." (Read more)

- Father, we call upon Your MERCY for Taiwan and its people. May the aggressive actions by China be stopped! We pray that our administration would stand in full-strength for the nation of Taiwan and speak boldly to China to end their manipulations. We plead the blood of Christ over this situation and ask that Your Hand would halt any plans of war for all countries involved.

- "Summon your might, O God. Display your power, O God, as you have in the past." (Psalm 68:28)

3. Extremely strong magnitude-7.5 earthquake hits northern Peru - CNBC

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.5 struck northern Peru early Sunday, damaging some buildings and blocking several roads with rubble. While the quake was extremely strong, it was relatively deep — measured at 112 kilometers (70 miles) — which usually reduces the possibility of damage and casualties.

Part of a 16th-century church in La Jalca district in the Amazon region collapsed and three people were lightly injured, Mayor Walter Culqui told Peru’s RPP radio.

Falling stones blocked several highways in the Amazonas and Cajamarca regions in Peru, and the tremor was felt nearly 800 kilometers (500 miles) away in the capital of Lima, where some people rushed out of their homes in alarm. A church in the Loja municipality in neighboring Ecuador was also partly damaged.

Earthquakes are common in Peru, which falls within the Pacific Ring of Fire where 85% of the planet’s seismic activity takes place. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, that the damage and casualties of the earthquake were minimal. May the collapse of this historic church bring people together and cause them to draw closer to You, Lord. Let this remind us that we are to bow before you and tremble in awe.  May the frequency and magnitude of these earthquakes be limited. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "The Lord reigns; Let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake."  (Psalm 99:1)

4. BREAKING! Steve Bannon Wants All Documents Related to His Contempt Charges Made Public, Which Biden's DOJ is Desperately Resisting - The National Pulse

Former advisor to President Trump, Stephen K. Bannon, has filed a motion to the U.S. district court in order for documents related to his contempt of Congress case to be released publicly. The motion was filed in opposition to the court’s protective order for discovery, which currently prevents both the defense and prosecution from releasing evidence or documents to the public.

In a statement provided on behalf of Bannon to the Washington Post, he said, “In the opposition filed today, Mr. Bannon asked the judge to follow the normal process and allow unfettered access to and use of t he documents. Members of the public should make their own independent judgement as to whether the U.S. Department of Justice is committed to a just result based upon all the facts.”

On Nov. 12th, Bannon was indicted by a federal grand jury on two counts of contempt of Congress after failing to appear before the House select committee investigating the events of Jan. 6th. Bannon has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Lawyers for Bannon argued the government has not offered any reason for why the documents being used for his case should be withheld from the public. (Read more)

5Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey Steps Down as CEO: 'Effective Immediately' - Epoch Times

Twitter CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey is stepping down as the social media firm’s chief executive, and Twitter CTO Parag Agrawal will succeed him as the firm’s new CEO, effective immediately, according to the company.

“I’ve decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders. My trust in Parag as Twitter’s CEO is deep. His work over the past 10 years has been transformational. I’m deeply grateful for his skill, heart, and soul. It’s his time to lead,” said Dorsey in a statement, who helped found the firm in 2006, that was released by the firm on Monday.

The San Francisco-based company’s Board of Directors unanimously approved Agrawal, who has been with the firm for more than a decade, to become the company’s new CEO, according to a Twitter news release.

Dorsey faced significant criticism from conservatives and free speech proponents for the platform’s decision to ban former President Donald Trump in January 2021. At the time, Dorsey acknowledged that “this moment in time might call for this dynamic, but over the long term it will be destructive to the noble purpose and ideals of the open internet.”

And for years, Dorsey has appeared alongside Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google executives during televised congressional hearings in which elected officials asked about whether his platform was responsible for the spread of so-called “disinformation” or whether it actively is silencing viewpoints that are contrary to the mainstream. 6. Omicron variant is 'cause for concern, not a cause for panic,' Biden says - Fox News

President Biden on Monday said the new omicron variant of coronavirus is a "cause for concern, not a cause for panic," while maintaining that his administration's plan to combat COVID-19 this winter will not involve "shutdowns or lockdowns," but rather a strategy for more widespread vaccinations.

The president spoke from the White House Monday, just days after the World Health Organization designated omicron a "variant of concern," its most serious designation of a COVID-19 variant.

Biden, last week, restricted travel from South Africa and seven other countries over concerns of the "heavily mutated" omicron variant of COVID-19--a move he said Monday gives the United States "time." "It gives us time," Biden said, noting that the American people need to "understand that you have to get your vaccine, you have to get the shot, have to get the booster."

"Sooner or later, we're going to see cases of this new variant here in the U.S.," Biden continued. "We'll have to face this new threat like we've faced those that have come before it."

The president, though, stressed that the omicron variant is a "cause for concern, not a cause for panic."

"We have the best vaccine in the world, the best medicines, the best scientists, and we're learning more every single day," he said, adding that the U.S. "will fight this variant with scientific and knowledgeable action and speed – not chaos and confusion." (Read more)

- We take authority over unsupported, fear-inducing rhetoric that comes from people in positions of power, in Jesus name.  We call for truth and shalom to be released instead over this nation, the world and most especially southern African nations.  Father, we ask You to calm the widespread fear of this new strain of virus, in Jesus name.  We can deal with it and treat it in a number of different ways;  please teach us to be strong in the face of adversity.

- "And I heard another voice from heaven saying, 'Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.'"  (Revelation 18:4)

7. Omicron variant symptoms ‘usual but mild,’ South African doctor says - Fox News

The South African doctor who first alerted authorities to the presence of the COVID-19 omicron variant reported that it presents "unusual but mild" symptoms.

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, a board member of the South African Medical Association, first noticed otherwise healthy patients demonstrating unusual symptoms on Nov. 18.

"Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before," Coetzee told The Telegraph
"It presents mild disease with symptoms being sore muscles and tiredness for a day or two not feeling well," Coetzee explained. "So far, we have detected that those infected do not suffer the loss of taste or smell. They might have a slight cough. There are no prominent symptoms. Of those infected some are currently being treated at home."

Most of the patients were men who reported "feeling so tired," and half of them were unvaccinated. The patients comprised a range of ages and ethnicities. (Read more)

- Father, please allow the language of truth and wisdom to come forth through the media and authorities and bring order in the midst of impending chaos.  During this month of worldwide celebration of Your birth and Hanukkah, we silence the raging of the adversary.  We bind the plague, and command the variant to cease and desist, in Jesus name!  We release the authority and presence of Almighty God upon every source and proponent of the virus and variants to cause it all to self-destruct, disintegrate and cause no further harm, in Jesus Holy Name!

- "Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry; And for their sake He remembered His covenant, . . . "  (Psalm 106:44-45a)

8. Omicron variant of COVID-19 "almost definitely" already in U.S., Gottlieb says - CBS News

Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former head of the Food and Drug Administration, said Sunday that the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus reported last week is likely already in the United States, but said the federal government is better positioned to detect cases of the new strain than it was a year ago.

"It's almost definitely here already, just looking at the number of cases coming off planes this weekend. It's almost a certainty that there have been cases that have gotten into the United States," Gottlieb said in an interview with "Face the Nation." "We're in a much better place now than we were a year ago when B.1.1.7 first arrived, or even when Delta first arrived. We are sequencing about a hundred thousand cases a week, which is very good. It's about 20% of all the diagnosed cases. CDC is also going to set up this week a new surveillance system specifically for this variant."

First reported by South Africa to the World Health Organization last Wednesday, the Omicron strain was classified as a "variant of concern" in part because of its high number of mutations and some initial evidence it carries a higher degree of infection than other strains. Cases have been reported in Belgium, Israel, Hong Kong and Britain, but no cases of the new variant have been identified in the U.S. as of yet, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(Read more)

9. NIH chief: COVID vaccines will ‘most likely’ protect against Omicron mutations - New York Post

The head of the National Institutes of Health said Sunday that the new Omicron variant has a “record” number of mutations but claimed the current COVID-19 vaccines will “most likely” be effective against them.

NIH Director Francis Collins acknowledged that there are concerns that the variant is a “sufficiently different virus due to its unprecedented mutations, particularly in the spike protein, the component of the virus that binds to cells.

“We do know that this is a variant that has a lot of mutations – like 50 of them, and more than 30 of those in the spike protein, which is the part of the virus that attaches to your human cells if you get infected,” Collins said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“That is a new record in terms of the number of mutations. It does make you worry, therefore, that it’s a sufficiently different virus, that it might not respond as well to protection from the vaccines, but we don’t know that.”

Still, the top health official said, he was reassured by the vaccines remaining effective against other new strains of the deadly virus. (Read more)

- Almighty Father, we trust You and Your healing power to keep this new virus limited and at bay. May we walk in divine health. We ask that many vitamins and therapeutics will also be used and be highly effective against the Omicron outbreak.

- "Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul." (3 John 2)

Do Not Fear

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 29, 2021

The phrase “do not fear” appears in 281 Bible verses. 1 Peter 3:14 says, “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” This is a reminder as the entire world is panicking about a new COVID variant–Omicron. Already, international governments are instituting more tyrannical shutdowns, travel bans, and mask mandates. COVID Czar Dr. Anthony Fauci used the media crisis as an opportunity to push COVID vaccinations: “So this is a clarion call, as far as I’m concerned, of saying let’s put aside all these differences we have and say, if you’re not vaccinated, get vaccinated. If you’re fully vaccinated, get boosted. And get the children vaccinated.” But, at the same time, he says they probably won’t work.

Fauci, making his rounds on weekend news talk shows, used a lot of dualistic fancy-talk to encourage everyone to get vaccinated while at the same saying the vaccines are likely to be ineffective against Omicron variants. On NBC’s Meet the Press, he said, “In other words, the profile of the mutations strongly suggests that it’s going to have an advantage in transmissibility and that it might evade immune protection that you would get, for example, from a monoclonal antibody or from the convalescent serum after a person’s been infected, and possibly even against some of the vaccine-induced antibodies. It’s not necessarily that that’s going to happen, but it’s a strong indication that we really need to be prepared for that.” In other words, getting the vaccine might make you feel safer, but it wasn’t designed to work against variants. Roe V. Wade:
What will happen after the arguments are heard tomorrow?
Dear Friends at CHPP:

Like all of you, we have been wondering how soon the Court will release its verdict on the Dobbs case.

We turned to our good friends at the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation (CPCF) to find this answer, and here is their reply:

They will conference the afternoon after the oral argument and vote and assign majority and dissenting opinions.  The opinions undoubtedly will not be issued until the last day of the term in June 2022, but could be issued earlier if the opinions are all done.

In addition, they have provided a link to www.uscourts.gov for more information on this critical point. Here is that quote;

"When oral arguments are concluded, the Justices have to decide the case. They do so at what is known as the Justices' Conference. When Court is in session, there are two conferences scheduled per week – one on Wednesday afternoon and one on Friday afternoon. At their Wednesday conference, the Justices talk about the cases heard on Monday. At their Friday conference, they discuss cases heard on Tuesday and Wednesday. When Court is not in session, no Wednesday conference is held."

Finally, to further clarify the protocol at the Court, the CPCF legal staff provided this additional information:

They said the conference, vote, and assigning of opinions will occur on or around December 1. And to be technically accurate again, the Chief Justice only assigns the majority opinion if he himself is in the majority; otherwise, the most senior justice in the majority assigns it.

We do want to thank Summer Ingram, V.P. of Legislative Affairs and Prayer Outreach at the CPCF, for helping us to pursue this research. Thank you, Summer!
- Father God, we thank You for providing more information for us as we prepare to pray over the Dobbs Case tomorrow at the Supreme Court. We can now understand that all decisions about whether to overrule Roe v. Wade will indeed be made tomorrow; with the remaining time given for the nine justices to write their opinions.

Holy God, we ask for at least SIX JUSTICES to rule on behalf of the State of Mississippi, supporting their argument, and we commit to pray in the Spirit all day
tomorrow as this case is decided. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding . . ." (1 Corinthians 14:15)
Tell Senators to Oppose Biden’s Radical FCC Nomination
Religious free speech on radio, television, cable, and satellite is facing a significant threat. President Joe Biden has nominated the radical Gigi Sohn to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Her nomination must be stopped. Ms. Sohn's nomination will be before the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee on Wednesday, December 1.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), member of the Senate Commerce Committee, reported that "Ms. Sohn is another radical leftist that President Biden is seeding his administration with. Her hostility to free speech and constitutional rights is breathtaking and should be a grave concern to every American."

The FCC is the federal agency that:

regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories…[and] is the federal agency responsible for implementing and enforcing America’s communications law and regulations.

FCC leadership consists of 5 commissioners, and with one vacancy the commissioners have been split 2-2 between Democrats and Republicans. If Gigi Sohn is confirmed, Biden's choice will likely tip the scale against free speech. Why is Ms. Sohn's nomination alarming when it comes to free speech?

On October 28, 2020, Gigi Sohn attacked Fox News Network in a Tweet stating the news outlet had the "most negative impact on our democracy." Sohn's declaration makes clear her inability to be an unbiased, objective arbiter of constitutionally protected free speech at the FCC.

Contrary to what Sohn says, Constitutional free speech does not require "opposing viewpoints." If confirmed, Gigi Sohn could apply the same liberal ideology against news outlets like American Family Radio and American Family News for expressing its biblical views on marriage and human sexuality, for example.

Let your voice be heard. Contact and urge your senator to oppose the Gigi Sohn nomination to the Federal Communications Commission. (AFA Action)

To contact your senators, opposing this nomination, please go here.
- Father God, we thank You for this alert and we pledge to take action to oppose Gigi Sohn's nomination given her history of opposing our freedom of speech. We say NO to this nominee being confirmed, and we say YES to the man or woman of Your choice to fill this seat at the FCC.

- "Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power . . ." (Psalm 110:3)

Volcanic eruptions proving to be double-edged
sword in Canary Islands
Lockdowns ordered earlier this week in coastal areas have been lifted, but air travel remains impacted by the persistent ash cloud. However, as the lava oozes into the Atlantic Ocean, one expert said there is a benefit.

More than two months after eruptions first began, the Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma, one of Spain's Canary Islands, continues to create new issues for residents. Since mid-September, residents have had to deal with a slew of hazards including ever-expanding flows of molten lava, homes buried by ash fallout and earthquakes, just to name a few.

Additional risks developed early this week after a third lava flow crashed into the ocean and set off a chemical reaction.

As the hot, molten lava met the relatively cool ocean on Monday, thick clouds of potentially toxic gases were lofted into the atmosphere and forced authorities to order a lockdown for residents of three coastal towns, according to Reuters. Residents of Tazacorte, San Borondon and portions of El Cardon were ordered to remain indoors with doors and windows shut for safety. Read More

‘She’s a Miracle’: Her Kids Bought Her Tombstone After Doctors Said She Had No Hope of Surviving COVID-19, But…

After Bettina Lerman spent weeks on a ventilator as she battled COVID-19, her family prepared for what they believed was the inevitable.

With doctors predicting Lerman, 69, wouldn’t recover, they bought a tombstone, started planning her funeral, and prepared to say an emotional goodbye.

Lerman’s kids were so convinced their mother’s life was coming to an end they also gave away her possessions and let go of her Florida apartment.

“We … donated everything in her apartment for others in need at her senior community,” daughter Jennifer Miele said on a GoFundMe page. “We had already gone to the funeral home and were planning her funeral, with the little bit she had left.”

Then, on Oct. 29 — right before they planned to remove Lerman from life support — something shocking unfolded at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine: she woke up.

Lerman’s son, Andrew, told CNN about the unbelievable phone call he received right before he expected his mom to die.

“[The doctor’s] like, ‘Well, I need you to come here right away.’ I was like, ‘OK, what’s wrong?'” Lerman recalled. “He goes, ‘Well, there’s nothing wrong. Your mother woke up.'”

One of the most remarkable parts of the story is what Andrew told CNN about his mother’s faith and the impact the medical marvel is having on his own perspective.

He said his mom is “very religious” and her church and friends have been praying for her.

“So they can’t explain it on the medical side. Maybe it’s on the religious side,” Andrew said. “I’m not that religious, but I’m starting to believe that there’s something that helped her. I don’t know.”

He added, “She’s a miracle.” (Faihwire.com) Read more.

Day #12: The 5th Trumpet Judgment ~ Tale of Woe
TODAY'S REPENTANCE REFLECTION:
Judgment Trumpet #5 ~ Woe Be Gone

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.

8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

~Revelation 9:1-12 (KJV)

Crown Him with Many Crowns

Words: Matthew Bridges
Music: George Elvey

Scripture: His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. Revelation 19:12

Lyrics:
Crown Him with many crowns,
The Lamb upon His throne.
Hark! How the heav’nly anthem drowns
All music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing
Of Him who died for thee;
And hail Him as thy matchless king
Through all eternity!

Crown Him the Lord of life,
Who triumphed o’er the grave,
And rose victorious in the strife
For those He came to save.
His glories now we sing,
Who died, and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring,
And lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of Heav’n,
Enthroned in worlds above,
Crown Him the king to whom is giv’n
The wondrous name of Love.
Crown Him with many crowns,
As thrones before Him fall;
Crown Him, ye kings, with many crowns,
For He is king of all.
