‘Complicit’: A Field Guide to the Lack of Infrastructure Funding, Leftist Carveouts in the $1.2 Trillion So-Called Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill
The passage of the so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill would not have been possible without the support and advocacy of 19 Senate Republicans and 13 House Republicans. Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), the Republican Study Committee (RSC) chairman, noted that only $110 billion of the $1.2 trillion in spending would fund roads, bridges, and other projects that most Americans would consider infrastructure.
The RSC wrote that it would include $66 billion in funding for Amtrak while preventing any taxpayer accountability for the railway service.
The bill would fix “racism physically built into some of our highways,” as Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has claimed.
The bipartisan infrastructure would also advance leftist priorities:
Defines “gender identity” as a protected class.
Doles out “digital equity” grants partly based on racial or ethnic minority status.
State-mandated carbon reduction program
Contains funding for “zero-emission vehicles”
Addresses “over-the-road bus tolling equity”
Contains the word “equity” 64 times
Provides roughly $2.5 billion to help the U.S. government expand the border processing stations used by migrants from poor Central American nations and other regions around the world.
Contains a $10 million grant to create a Vehicle Miles Travelled Tax (VMT) Pilot program, which many conservatives argue could lead to a permanent VMT tax.
A $1 million per state grant to encourage children to walk to school

1. 2 wounded in terrorist attack in capital - Israel Hayom
Two Border Police officers were wounded in Jerusalem's Old City in an apparent terrorist attack.
One of the victims sustained moderate wounds, the other one was lightly injured. The 16-year-old assailant was shot and killed.
The attack took place near the Ateret Cohanim yeshiva, located within the Muslim Quarter on one of the main alleys of the walled city. (Read more)
2. New IAEA report says Iran has boosted stockpile of highly enriched uranium - Times of Israel
VIENNA — Iran has increased its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, defying commitments made under the 2015 nuclear deal, the UN nuclear watchdog says in its latest report, seen today by AFP.
Its estimate of Iran’s stockpile, as of November 6, was 2,489.7 kg (5,489 lbs), many times in excess of the limit laid down in the 2015 agreement with world powers, says the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report seen by AFP.
The total amount now includes 113.8 kg (251 lbs) enriched to 20 percent, up from 84.3 (186 lbs) in September, and 17.7 kg (39 lbs) enriched up to 60%, up from 10 kg (22 lbs), the report says. (Read more)
3. Herzog talks Iran with China's leader in first ever phone call - YNET News
The heads of state of China and Israel spoke by phone for the first time ever Wednesday, with President Isaac Herzog raising Iran's nuclear program in a call with China's Xi Jinping.
China and Israel established diplomatic relations in 1992, 44 years after the Jewish state's creation and Israeli presidents have visited China since. But according to Herzog's office, Wednesday saw "the first-ever phone call between the presidents of China and Israel".
The Israeli presidency is a largely ceremonial role, with most executive authority held by the prime minister.
But in his call with Xi, Herzog addressed Iran's nuclear program, one of Israel's top national security priorities. And Herzog "emphasized the need to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability" and accused the Islamic republic of "undermining regional stability in the Middle East," his office said. 4. Knesset Education Committee in Historic Statement: Israeli Schoolchildren Must Visit Temple Mount - Jewish Press
Coalition and opposition MKs alike agreed that the Israeli education system is failing to convey information about the Temple Mount to students.
Committee Chairwoman MK Sharren Haskel (New Hope) said that the education system does not mention the existence of the Temple Mount in a national and religious context, despite being one of the most important places for the Jewish People. She added: “This is not a political issue and therefore support should be given to teaching about the importance of the Temple Mount among Israeli students.” (Read more)
5. J Street joins anti-Israel groups in support of Gaza amendment to defense bill - JNS
(November 16, 2021 / JNS) J Street has joined with several dozen largely anti-Israel groups, including some that support the BDS movement, in calling for the U.S. Senate to adopt the Gaza amendment as part of the 2022 National Defense Authority Act (NDAA).
Proposed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the amendment would require the U.S. Comptroller General to submit a report to Congress assessing the economic, humanitarian, political and psychological impact that Israel’s restrictions on movement and access are having on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. It would also report on the recovery and reconstruction in Gaza following Israel’s airstrikes this spring against Hamas and other terror factions, according to the group Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN).
Some 72 national and international organizations jointly signed the letter, including MoveOn, J Street, Churches for Middle East Peace, Arab American Institute, American Muslims for Palestine, Oxfam America, Norwegian Refugee Council, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International USA, Win Without War, National Council of Churches, Demand Progress, Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, IfNotNow, Al Haq and Eyewitness Palestine. 1. Fervent Prayer’ Sought for 58 Remaining Baptist Hostages After Captors Kill 2 and Wound 3 in Nigeria - CBN News
A local Christian leader in Nigeria has confirmed gunmen killed two of the 60 hostages who were abducted two weeks ago at a church in Kaduna state.
As CBN News previously reported, the 60 Christians were taken hostage after a group of bandits reportedly stormed Emmanuel Baptist Church in the Kakau Daji area during a worship service. One person was killed in the attack.
According to local news outlet Punch, Rev. Joseph Hayab, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), said two of the worshippers had been killed by their captors. Three others were seriously injured and were hospitalized.
Hayab directly called on the Nigerian government for help.
"The lives of the Kaduna abducted worshipers are in danger and require an urgent intervention of government and security agencies. The insecurity in Kaduna state has continued to grow beyond our imagination and is threatening the peace of the nation," he told Punch's correspondent in a text message. (Read more)

2. CDC ADMITS THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THE NATURALLY IMMUNE TRANSMITTING COVID - Breaking Christian News
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that it has no record of people who are naturally immune transmitting the virus that causes COVID-19 ...
"You would assume that if the CDC was going to crush the civil and individual rights of those with natural immunity by having them expelled from school, fired from their jobs, separated from the military, and worse, the CDC would have proof of at least one instance of an unvaccinated, naturally immune individual transmitting the COVID-19 virus to another individual. 3. Nonbinary’ ODU Professor Calls for ‘Destigmatizing’ Pedophilia - CBN News
Allyn Walker, an assistant professor at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, is arguing “minor-attracted people” — those sexually drawn to children under the age of 18 — should not be ostracized for their attractions, suggesting such urgings are OK, so long as they are not acted upon.
Walker, who identifies as “queer” and “nonbinary trans,” said during a recent interview there “is no morality or immorality attached to attraction to anyone, because no one can control who they’re attracted to at all.”
In other words,” the professor said, “it’s not who we’re attracted to that’s either OK or not OK. It’s our behaviors and responding to that attraction that are either OK or not OK.” During the conversation with Prostasia, Walker stated a desire “to be extremely clear that child sexual abuse is never, ever OK. But having an attraction to minors, as long as it isn’t acted on, doesn’t mean the person who has those attractions is doing something wrong.” (Read more)

4. North Las Vegas Mayor, Lifelong Democrat, Switches Parties, Citing ‘Socialist Takeover’ In Nevada - Daily Caller
Democratic North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee told “Fox and Friends” Tuesday that he was switching political parties.
When you’re a pro-life Democrat, a pro-gun Democrat, and you’re a very conservative person, that’s not really well known in the Democratic Party anymore,” Lee said during the interview. “And so for me to hang on as long as I did, hoping the party would change, it didn’t, it got worse.”
“I found a new place where I can put my allegiance to and help once again. Forget about the last eight years, it’s about the next four years that predict the future,” Lee said. Lee made the announcement that he would become a Republican because of an alleged “socialist takeover” of the Nevada Democratic Party’s leadership, according to Fox 5 Vegas. (Read more)

5. Chinese Dissident Ai Weiwei Warns Americans: ‘You’re Already In The Authoritarian State. You Just Don’t Know It’ - The Daily Caller
Former political prisoner and authoritarian regimes expert Ai Weiwei appeared on PBS Friday, warning Americans that authoritarianism has already invaded the country.
PBS host Margaret Hoover asked Weiwei if he believes Donald Trump is an authoritarian. “If you are authoritarian, you have to have a system supporting you,” replied Weiwei. “You cannot just be an authoritarian by yourself. But certainly, in the United States, with today’s condition, you can easily have an authoritarian. In many ways, you’re already in the authoritarian state. You just don’t know it.”
Weiwei went on to explain that many aspects of the U.S. today are similar to the Cultural Revolution in China. He mentioned political correctness as an example, calling it “very dangerous.” (Read more)

6. Judge deals blow to Michigan’s effort to shut down Line 5 pipeline - Washington Examiner
A federal judge ruled against Michigan’s request to remand its lawsuit against the Line 5 pipeline back to a state court, delivering a win for Canadian operator Enbridge Energy.
U.S. District Judge Janet Neff on Tuesday ruled the case was properly within federal court jurisdiction, rejecting Michigan's arguments that because its suit was brought on the basis of state laws that it belongs in state court and that the matters of federal law Enbridge raised in getting the case moved to federal court were insubstantial.
Michigan last November issued a notice revoking an easement for Enbridge's pipeline, which carries crude oil product from Canada through its borders, and sought injunctive relief from a state court to pause its operations during the intermittent 180-day period until the notice went into effect. 7. Loudoun school parents ‘livid and sickened’ after being kept in dark about sex life survey - Fox News
Some parents in Loudoun County, Virginia, are outraged after school officials failed to notify them ahead of time about a survey administered to their kids that asked questions about their sex lives and gender identities.
The Virginia Department of Health (VDOH), which developed the Virginia Youth Survey, states that written notification must be given to parents by the school division at least 30 days before administration, and that parents have the right to review the survey and opt-out.
The survey for high schoolers asks questions like, "Are you transgender?" "Have you been tested for a sexually transmitted disease?" "Have you ever had sexual intercourse?" and, "[W]ith how many people have you had sexual intercourse?" Students are asked not to write their names on the survey and to skip any questions they feel uncomfortable answering. (Read more)

8.Florida Parents Sue School for Secretly ‘Transitioning’ 13-Year-Old Daughter - Brietbart
Jeffrey and January Littlejohn’s daughter, who is referred to as A.G. in court filings, did talk about her gender confusion with her mother, who holds a master’s degree in counseling from Florida State University.
January spoke at a gathering of the Florida Family Policy Council about the school withholding from her and her husband what the school did without their knowledge or permission:
“So when our daughter told us she was experienced to stress about her gender at the height of the pandemic we were completely caught by surprise. She had expressed no signs of gender confusion or distress in early childhood or leading up into this announcement.” (Read more)

9.OSHA Suspends Implementation, Enforcement of Vaccine Mandate- The Epoch Times
The Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) says it has suspended the implementation and enforcement of the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for private businesses.
The announcement came shortly after a U.S. appeals court rejected a challenge by the Biden administration on Nov. 12 and reaffirmed its decision to put on hold OSHA’s mandate, which requires that businesses with 100 employees or more ensure that workers either be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Jan. 4, 2022, or be tested weekly and wear a mask.
The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans stated in an opinion that OSHA’s mandate is “staggeringly overbroad,” and ordered it to “take no steps to implement or enforce the Mandate until further court order.”
The court had previously issued a temporary halt to the mandate on Nov. 6, pending litigation. (Read more)

10. FBI investigating vials labeled ‘smallpox’ found in lab near Philadelphia- Yahoo News
The FBI and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating “questionable vials” labeled “smallpox” and found in a freezer last night at a Merck facility outside Philadelphia, according to an alert sent to Department of Homeland Security leadership on Tuesday night.
There were reportedly a total of 15 questionable vials, according to the unclassified "For Official Use Only" alert, a copy of which was obtained by Yahoo News. Five of the vials were labeled as “smallpox” and 10 were labeled as “vaccinia." The vials were secured immediately.
The discovery of the vials prompted a lockdown of the facility, which has since been lifted. The FBI and CDC launched investigations, which remain ongoing.
“There is no indication that anyone has been exposed to the small number of frozen vials. The frozen vials labeled ‘Smallpox’ were incidentally discovered by a laboratory worker while cleaning out a freezer in a facility that conducts vaccine research in Pennsylvania,” a CDC spokesperson told Yahoo News. Stupidocrisy: Parents As Terrorists

When was the last time you saw a group of parents bomb a building? Or, burn down businesses? Or, roll police cars? You know, the kind of stuff Antifa does as routine. Yet, it’s parents, such as those in Loudoun County, Va., protesting the Marxist actions of school boards, who get the terrorist treatment from the Biden Administration. A parent outraged that his daughter was raped in the girls’ restroom by a boy wearing a dress was arrested, and no doubt put on some government list. I guess Biden and his gang don’t think parents have a say in their local schools, certainly when it comes to a transgender rights policy that results in boys hanging out in girls’ restrooms. But if you don’t like that, you’re a terrorist.
So here’s what is going on: The National School Boards Association (NSBA) was working in cahoots with White House Marxists to carefully draft a letter to get the FBI to look into parents disagreeing with Marxist school boards. It seems the NSBA was particularly upset that parents were pushing back against enlightened policies such as allowing LGBTQ+ organizations to groom young students for sexual deviancy and the teaching of the Marxist Critical Race Theory—which everyone denies is happening in our public schools, but everywhere parents are looking into these claims, they are confirming that it is happening. The NSBA finally finishes their collaboration with the White House and sends the letter requesting investigation into protesting parents as “a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.” Read More
Pentagon Says It Has Authority to Require Oklahoma National Guard to Follow Vaccine Mandate
The Pentagon on Monday said it has the authority to require members of the National Guard to get vaccinated against COVID-19 after the Oklahoma National Guard’s newly appointed commander refused to impose a vaccine mandate ordered by the Defense Department.
Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters that U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin “has the authorities he needs to require this vaccine across the force, including the National Guard.” Kirby later added during a news briefing that it is “a lawful order for National Guardsmen to receive the COVID vaccine. It is a lawful order,” he repeated. “Refusing to do that, absent an approved exemption, puts them in the same potential [for punishment] as active-duty members who refuse the vaccine.”
The Defense Department in September said that all uniformed personnel must be vaccinated against COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, with varying deadlines for each branch.
However, on Nov. 11, the adjutant general for Oklahoma Brig. Gen. Thomas Mancino wrote in a policy memorandum ordering that “no Oklahoma Guardsmen be required to take the COVID-19 Vaccine.” “Notwithstanding any other Federal requirement. Oklahoma Command’s will continue to process Federal vaccine waivers in accordance with DoD policy. Additionally, no negative administrative or legal action will be taken against Guardsmen who refuse the COVID-19 Vaccine,” the memo states.
Mancino added in the memo that Oklahoma Gov. J. Kevin Stitt had requested Austin for waivers of the vaccine mandate and was waiting for a decision. In his memo, Mancino stated that Stitt is the “lawful Commander in Chief” of all Oklahoma national guardsmen unless they’re federally mobilized under Title 10 of the U.S. Code. Naturally Immune Federal Workers File Class-action Suit Against Fauci For COVID Vaccine Mandate
Federal employees with natural immunity from COVID-19 infection filed a class-action lawsuit Friday against the members of President Biden's task force that enforces his COVID vaccine mandate for government workers, intending to stop it before a deadline this month.
The defendants include National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Anthony Fauci, CDC director Rochelle Walensky, White House coronavirus response coordinator Jeffrey Zients, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough.
The mandate is "at the very least, arbitrary and capricious in addition to being overbroad and poorly designed," violating constitutional rights against "unnecessary medical treatment" and the emergency use authorization (EUA) statute that still governs all but one vaccine, the suit claims.
Moreover, it lacks exemptions for both natural immunity and fully remote workers, calling into question whether it's "designed to accomplish a legitimate federal purpose," according to the plaintiffs. At the same time, they argue, the mandate accepts "foreign vaccines that the FDA has not approved in any fashion" and which are measurably less effective than natural immunity.
