Scientists Germinate 1,000-Year-Old Seed Found in Cave in Israel—Say It Could Lead to Lost Biblical Tree
A seed smaller than a fingernail was carried by a bird or critter and deposited into a cave in Israel 1,000 years ago but germinated into a tree after modern archeologists discovered and planted it. In it lies a mystery: A Bible verse mentions a tree of its description; could it be the venerated Judean Balsam tree, whose fragrant sap once served as medicine and was highly treasured?

The Three Magi brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh to baby Jesus—so the Bible says. The latter two resins, prized for their scent, have been known to ooze forth from punctured bark on trees of the Commiphora genus. While some species of Commiphora still grow, others are believed to be long extinct, gone since Biblical times. However, in the late 1980s, an archeological dig may have unearthed a lost Biblical secret: the aforementioned seed, well-preserved in a cave in a desert valley. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, we PRAISE You for this very prophetic discovery of a 1,000 year old seed from Israel which has germinated into a tree and carries medicinal and fragrant sap from ancient times! We are in awe of Your holiness and honor Your sacred ways. We celebrate the preparation of Your soon return as Your people prepare their hearts and the ancient path is revealed! By the blood and powerful name of Yeshua. Amen and Amen.

- "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls." (Jeremiah 6:16a)

BREAKING! Tensions Explode in D.C. as Fences Come Down and Protests Erupt!

Washington, D.C.—a city built on power, resilience, and the voices of the people—is alive with tension. The riot fences around Capitol Hill and the White House are coming down, but don’t be fooled; this isn’t a sign of peace. Today, the pulse of D.C. is pounding, and a storm of protest and passion is brewing on its streets. With President Trump’s return to office, the nation’s capital is once again a political battlefield, electrified by the people’s anger, demands, and unwavering spirit. This city is ready, and so are its citizens. Here’s the real story from the ground up.

Union Station at Dawn: Tension Thickens with Heavily Armed Police Presence

Morning breaks with an eerie quiet around Union Station. It’s not commuters filling the space; it’s law enforcement—Park Police, D.C. Police, Capitol Police, and even more federal officers, all mobilized and bracing for what the day might bring. This isn’t a casual display of security; this is an all-out show of force, and it’s clear that D.C. expects something big.

Union Station stands tense, a fortress-like symbol with police stationed strategically across Columbus Circle, guarding entrances and checking every corner.

  • Park Police Commanding Columbus Circle: Park Police line the national landmark, monitoring for any sign of unrest with the vigilance of hawks.

  • D.C. Police (MPD) Holds the Perimeter: MPD units are stationed a block out, watching the streets leading into the hub of activity.

  • Capitol Police’s Civil Disturbance Unit—Ready for Battle: They know they’re not here for a routine shift. The air is heavy with a mix of anticipation and defiance, as though the city itself senses the day’s momentum.

- Father God, we are now seeing similar riots breaking out across our nation. Forgive us, O Lord, for we have lost our way. We ask, Holy One, that in Your mercy, You would place Your hand of mercy and protection upon each one of us, until this wave of anger runs its course. Thank You, O Lord, that when life seems to go out of control, we can still trust you to be our Shepherd and our Shield. In Your Name, we offer
this prayer, amen and amen!

- "When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him."

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer did not initially invite Dave McCormick to Senate orientation despite the race being called by AP. (Reuters)
Schumer invites McCormick, Gallego to new-senator orientation
Republican senators offered to escort Dave McCormick to the orientation after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer initially blocked him

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has invited Senators-elect Dave McCormick, the Republican from Pennsylvania, and Ruben Gallego, the Democrat from Arizona, to the new-senator orientation this week after previously saying they would not be permitted to participate.

"Ruben Gallego and David McCormick have been invited to attend orientation," a spokesperson for Schumer told Fox News.

Schumer had initially resisted inviting McCormick to the orientation, claiming the Republican had not been declared the winner of his election. This was despite The Associated Press calling the race in his favor over three-term Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey last Thursday.

Gallego also had not received an invitation, but the AP did not call his race against Republican Kari Lake until Monday night. It was the final Senate race to be called, leaving the Republicans with a 53-47 majority. (Fox News) Read more

- Father God, it looks like what we have now in the Senate is a free-for-all. Having fought our way to bring the President to the White House, we now see the next battle front: who will replace Sen. Mitch McConnell as the next Senate Majority Leader. We know that we, as your intercessors, have the same goal in our hearts: praying for the man of Your choice to take this seat. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen!

Republican California incumbent Rep. Mike Garcia concedes race in 27th district

One week after Election Day, control of the House of Representatives is still up in the air with votes continuing to be counted in 17 House races.

Republican Donald Trump won the presidency again and the GOP will have the Senate majority. House Speaker Mike Johnson, however, is still waiting to learn whether he will get to keep his job and President-elect Trump will soon find out whether Republicans will have full control of the government to enact his agenda over the next two years (before the 2026 midterm elections).

Here's where things stand with the uncalled House races.

simply turn to You to find the peace that passes all understanding, and the way forward. We trust You with this outcome, O God, and we thank You for what You are doing in our midst. In Your Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

Donald Trump to appoint Marco Rubio as US Secretary of State
Rubio, 53, has said in recent interviews that Ukraine needs to seek a negotiated settlement with Russia rather than focus on regaining all territory that Russia has taken in the last decade.

Donald Trump selected US Senator Marco Rubio to be his secretary of state, the New York Times reported on Monday, putting the Florida-born politician on track to be the first Latino to serve as America's top diplomat once the Republican president-elect takes office in January.

Rubio was arguably the most hawkish option on Trump's shortlist for secretary of state, and he has in years past advocated for a muscular foreign policy with respect to America's geopolitical foes, including China, Iran and Cuba.

The new administration will confront a world more volatile and dangerous than it was when Trump took office in 2017, with wars raging in Ukraine and the Middle East and China aligning itself more closely with US foes Russia and Iran.

The Ukraine crisis will be high on Rubio's agenda.

Rubio, 53, has said in recent interviews that Ukraine needs to seek a negotiated settlement with Russia rather than focus on regaining all territory that Russia has taken in the last decade. He was also one of 15 Republican senators to vote against a $95 billion military aid package for Ukraine, passed in April.

"I'm not on Russia's side — but unfortunately the reality of it is that the way the war in Ukraine is going to end is with a negotiated settlement," Rubio told NBC in September.

- Lord God, Holy One, this is another time to shout HALLELUJAH, as we see Your kingdom advancing before us. We ask a "double measure" of grace and wisdom to guide Senator Marco Rubio as he steps into this new role as President Trump's Secretary of State. PRAISE THE LORD!

- "Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the LORD.” (1 Chronicles 16:36)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Smotrich prepares for sovereignty drive ahead of Trump inauguration - JNS

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who also manages the Defense Ministry’s civilian administration in Judea and Samaria, declared on Monday that he had instructed his staff to start developing the “necessary infrastructure” to extend Israeli sovereignty to the disputed territories.

President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in last week’s election “brings an important opportunity for the State of Israel,” Smotrich declared at a meeting of his Religious Zionism Party at the Knesset in Jerusalem.

The minister told lawmakers he intends to table a government decision stating that Israel will “work with the new administration of President Trump and the international community to apply sovereignty and achieve American and international recognition.”

Next year will be “the year of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria,” stated Smotrich, adding that Trump, “who showed courage and determination during his first term, will support the State of Israel in this move.” (Read more)

2. (HEADS UP!!!) Iran's latest threat to Israel: 72-hour countdown to cyber attack - Israel Hayom

Following two recent cyber attacks on credit institutions and facing threats from Iraniangovernment-affiliated groups of an imminent cyber strike against Israel planned for Friday, the Bank of Israel has called an emergency preparedness session.

The high-level meeting, coordinated with Israel's National Cyber Directorate, included representatives from the country's major banks, credit companies, and other financial institutions. Israeli commercial airlines were also notified of the potential threat.

Yesterday's situation assessment brought together senior officials from the Bank of Israel, the National Cyber Directorate, and the cybersecurity forum representing banks and credit card companies. They evaluated various scenarios that could unfold Friday, following the Iranian Anonymous for Justice group's threats to target Israel's financial infrastructure. (Read more)

3. ‘No ceasefire in Lebanon until victory,’ Israel’s new defense chief declares - World Israel News

Israel’s new defense chief vowed Tuesday to continue the ground operation against the Iranian backed terrorist group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon until the IDF achieves victory and secures all of Israel’s goals in the current conflict.

Defense Minister Israel Katz (Likud), who was tapped by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week to replace Yoav Gallant (Likud), held his first meeting with the IDF General Staff on Monday, discussing the ongoing conflict with Iran and its proxy, Hezbollah.

“In my first meeting today with the IDF General Staff Forum,” Katz tweeted Monday, “I emphasized: Iran is more exposed than ever to strikes on its nuclear facilities. We have the opportunity to achieve our most important goal – to thwart and eliminate the existential threat to the State of Israel.” (Read more)

A massive barrage of at least 10 mid-range “Fadi” rockets was fired by the Iranian-backed Lebanese terrorist army at northwestern Israeli communities, including Nahariya, Akko, Haifa and surrounds.

Another rocket fired shortly after scored a direct hit on a home in the evacuated community of Shomera. No injuries were reported. (Read more)

1. BREAKING: Feds Raid Alfie Oakes’ Naples Home and Farm with Battering Ram – An Outspoken Trump Supporter and Owner of Seed to Table - The Gateway Pundit

The Feds raided Alfie Oakes’ Naples, Florida home and farm with a battering ram on Thursday. Alfie Oakes is an outspoken Trump supporter and owner of Seed to Table grocery store. The raid was conducted by the Defense Criminal Investigative Service which investigates criminal behavior with the Department of Defense. According to reports, the Feds used a battering ram to bust the door down at Alfie Oakes’ home while his wife and daughter were home.

IRS agents were seen carrying boxes out of Alfie Oakes’ home.

NBC-2.com reported:

"Multiple law enforcement agencies are at the home of a prominent Collier County businessman and controversial conservative activist. Law enforcement, including federal officials, were seen going in and out of the home of Alfie Oakes on Santa Cruz Court in the Villages of Monterey community in North Naples and a packing plant in Immokalee.

Federal agents from the Defense Criminal Investigative Service were seen at the packing plant. The DCIS investigates cases of fraud, bribery, and corruption, including cyber crimes and computer intrusions." (Read more)

2. Top Christian broadcaster fighting government demand for 'public shaming rule' - WND

A fight involving a Christian broadcaster based in Medford, Oregon, reaching out via radio and television, holds the potential now for a significant ruling that federal bureaucracies are supposed to do what Congress tells them to do – not more.
It is theDove Radio & Television that is contesting demands by the Federal Communications Commission that it start monitoring, recording, reporting and even publicizing the makeup of its employees, their race and sex.

It's a type of fight that has come up before, and will come up again: Bureaucrats decide that Congress has given them an authority so they try to impose requirements that are not necessarily germane to that task. The government right now is trying to delay the case at the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals because other plaintiffs also have raised their concerns, but it is theDove case that would, when and if it is decided, go further.

Perry Atkinson, president and CEO of the broadcaster, told WND that his organization, unlike many avenues for communication in 2024 America, is already highly regulated. The FCC had proposed, some time back, to monitor and record the makeup of staffs, but had delayed its plan. Now it's on the move again.

Atkinson explained that making public the "diversity, equity and inclusion" factors about his employees could be used by detractors to create problems for the broadcaster, including when periodic license renewals are at issue. (Read more)

- Holy One, we pray for victory in this case, especially if it goes up to the Supreme Court, so that this DEI poison will be neutralized and eliminated from our culture, in Jesus name.  We pray for the resources to be available for the Christian broadcaster to fight the good fight well, and for the agencies overstepping their limits to be restrained publicly, formally and strongly, in Jesus name.  Every area where we, the people, are being censored, watched, followed, tracked, harassed and silenced must be stopped, because we are a free people and we will actively assert our authority against those who want to dominate and control, in Jesus' name.

- "For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, 'Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.' Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands."  (Neh. 6:9)

3. Prosecutors now probing secretary of state over election-password catastrophe - WND
Jena Griswold is a far-left Democrat secretary of state in the far-left state of Colorado.

She schemed with all Democrats on the state Supreme Court to try to take now President-elect Donald Trump off the 2024 ballot, and was rebuked by the U.S. Supreme Court.

She played an integral role when Tina Peters, then a clerk in Mesa County, made a copy of the 2020 election results from her county and, in the course, exposed briefly an election systems password. She was sentenced to years in prison.

Now, in the aftermath of Griswold's own exposure of dozens and dozens of election systems passwords online for the 2024 election, she's being investigated by a coalition of prosecutors. (Read more)

- Father, we are not asking for retribution, but justice.  There is no reason for Tina Peters, a hero of the 2020 election fraud, to be spending nine years in prison for an exposure of less than a minute and this secretary of state, who is in a greater position of authority remains in her position of power.  We call for justice, in Jesus name.  We pray for the prosecutors who are taking action to be speedy and wise and may every judge along the way of this journey be righteous, in Jesus name.

"'You shall not distort justice; you shall not be partial, and you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.  Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, that you may live and possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you.'"  (Deuteronomy 16:19-20)

4. Florida AG Moody to Newsmax: Not Waiting for Feds to Act on FEMA Bias - Newsmax

Florida is not holding its breath when it comes to the Biden administration handling the Federal Emergency Management Agency's alleged bias against supporters of President-elect Donald Trump, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody told Newsmax on Tuesday.

In a "best practices" memo to staff, a FEMA supervisor directed disaster relief workers in Florida to "avoid homes advertising Trump" in the wake of Hurricane Milton. At least 20 homes displaying Trump signs were skipped over in October and November as a result of the guidance.

"We're certainly not sitting back and waiting for the federal government to do its own investigation, because we've seen how that goes when federal agencies have told us one thing, a million times, and as we dig in, especially here in Florida," Moody told Tuesday's "National Report," saying that "we find out the exact opposite is happening.

Moody added, "this past weekend, Florida has already begun digging into this." "We want to make sure that our emergency agency is looking into these details to make sure we have all of the information we're seeking, not only information from FEMA, but making sure if there are those within Florida who feel that they were overlooked or discriminated against because of their political views, that we have an understanding of that and that information," she continued, "because, look, this is what folks have been saying all along — that this administration wasn't here to serve everyone, only a few. (Read more)

- We praise You Abba, that Florida Governor DeSantis is taking things into his own hands regarding helping all the people of his state and pursuing justice upon FEMA as they dilly-dally in doing their job and fulfilling their responsibilities.  We pray that every person in need will receive help, in Florida, especially North Carolina, and every other state that has been harmed by the hurricanes, in Jesus name.  We pray for citizens to be able to get back on their feet and begin the long, slow rebuilding process after these nightmare storms, in Jesus' name.

- "For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."            (Romans 8:20-21)

5. Former Trump Education Secretary DeVos Supports Plan to End DOE - Newsmax

Betsy DeVos, former secretary of education during Donald Trump's first term as president, praised his efforts to end the Department of Education, the Daily Mail reported.

"We're going to end education coming out of Washington, D.C.," Trump said in a message to supporters. "We're going to close it up — all those buildings all over the place — and you have people in many cases who hate our children. We're going to send it all back to the states."

DeVos, who resigned her Cabinet position following the Jan. 6 incident at the U.S. Capitol, voiced support for Trump and is optimistic he will make education reform a priority.

DeVos proposed that Trump first pass federal tax credits to help parents pay for school choice, fueling education freedom across the country. She further suggested the federal government begin offering block funding grants to the states.

DeVos, who faced fierce opposition from teachers unions during her time as secretary of education, said the unions will try to fight Trump every step of the way.

"The status quo is not going to back down at all, and they're not going to get quieter," DeVos told Daily Mail. "Whomever is there is going to, if they are standing up to the status quo, they're going to get all the protests and all the stuff the same way because they are fighting for power and control."

Parents are starting to realize teacher unions do not prioritize their children, DeVos told the Daily Mail. (Read more)

 - Jesus, we pray for our children, their schools and education.  We pray that parents continue speaking out and being engaged in this entire process, particularly on the local school boards.  We praise You that covid lockdown provided an opportunity for parents to become very aware of what their children were and were not learning and raising a hue and cry over these issues.  We pray for the transition of the Federal DOE to go easily and we bind the fury and rage that will naturally attend this shift in our education culture.  We also pray for the union power structure to be neutralized and work for teachers and schools, rather than political agendas, in Jesus' name.

- "The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.  It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.  It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes."  (Psalm 118:7-9)

6. Federal Judge Temporarily Blocks Louisiana Law Mandating Ten Commandments in Public Classrooms - The Gateway Pundit

A federal judge in Louisiana issued a preliminary injunction Tuesday against a new state law mandating the display of the Ten Commandments in all public classrooms. The law, which was set to go into effect on January 1, was deemed “unconstitutional on its face” by U.S. District Judge John W. deGravelles, who argued that it served an “overtly religious” purpose, according to NPR.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Louisiana became the first state to require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom. H.B. 71, which was signed into law by GOP Governor Jeff Landry in June, mandates that a poster-sized display of the Ten Commandments in “large, easily readable font” be shown all public classrooms. This includes K-12 education and state-funded universities like LSU.

The displays will be paired with a four-paragraph “context statement” describing how the Ten Commandments “were a prominent part of American public education for almost three centuries” according to CBS News. They must be in place in classrooms by the start of 2025. The legislation further requires that the posters be paid for through donations, not state funds.

Legislators in other states, such as Texas, Utah, and Oklahoma, have proposed requiring legislation similar to Louisiana’s. But fear of lawsuits has prevented the measures from being implemented into state law. (Read more)

- Mighty God, we thank You for this courageous governor of Louisiana who is standing up for the 1st Amendment in the school classroom.  There is no reason why the 10 Commandments should be discriminated against in public and we pray for this battle to be fierce and victorious in the mighty name of Jesus. It is time for our Christian faith to be re-established in the culture, the marketplace and the education-place of our children.  Therefore, we must rally the troops and circle the wagons and allow this lawsuit to run the course of our Constitution permitting the free exercise of religion in every arena, in Jesus name.  Strengthen those on the front lines standing for righteousness; provide resources, unbiased judges, and courageous attorneys Father, so that this is adjudicated in the courtroom of America, just as in the courtroom of Heaven.  Amen.

- "For this One [Christ Jesus] has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.  For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God."  (Hebrews 3:3-4)

The Daily Jot

Let's Be Blunt

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 12, 2024

The aberration of Joe Biden’s “victory” in 2020 defies all previous elections and gives emphatic credence to Biden’s presidential election being stolen by the Democratic Party. The evidence is the 7-12 million missing votes from Biden’s election in 2020 to Kamal Harris’ defeat in 2024 as compared to every other presidential election this century. There is no doubt. The news media worked overtime to ridicule, demonize and even destroy the reputations of those who claimed the 2020 election was illegitimate. It was as if they were protesting too much for all the circumstantial evidence then pointed to a coup, but the coverup was so complete that it could not be proven. The historical data now gives common sense proof.

In 2000, George W Bush was elected with 50.4 million votes, a 543,000 margin over Al Gore with 54.2% voter turnout. Bush was reelected with 62 million votes, 3.0 million more than John Kerry with 60.1% voter turnout. In 2008, Barack Obama received 69.5 million votes, a 9.5 million vote margin over John McCain with 61.6% voter turnout. Obama was reelected with 65.9 million votes, 4.9 million more than Mitt Romney with 58.6% turnout. Donald Trump was elected with 63 million votes, 2.8 million less than Hillary Clinton with 57.3% voter turnout. Trump won the electoral college, but not the popular vote. In 2020, get this, Joe Biden “won” with a record 81.2 million votes, 7 million more than Trump (74.2 million) with 66.6% voter turnout. Trump was elected this year with roughly 74 million votes, 5 million over Harris with 88.5% turnout. Read More

Trump picks Mike Huckabee as US ambassador to Israel
Trump picks Mike Huckabee as US ambassador to Israel

President-elect Trump announced Tuesday he will nominate former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) to serve as ambassador to Israel, a major diplomatic role that will take on added importance amid heightened tensions in the Middle East.

“Mike has been a great public servant, Governor, and Leader in Faith for many years,” Trump said in a statement. “He loves Israel, and the people of Israel, and likewise, the people of Israel love him. Mike will work tirelessly to bring about Peace in the Middle East!”

For over a year, Israel has carried out war against Hamas following the terrorist group’s attacks in October 2023 that killed more than 1,000 Israeli citizens. Trump has urged Israel to “finish the problem,” even as he has been critical of how it has carried out its military campaign. (The Hill) Read more here.

[WWD side note: While former ambassador David Friedman had also been mentioned in the news as a possible candidate, having Mike Huckabee in this position should be great for Israel. He is someone who is fully aware of the biblical reasons not to divide the land, and he is some who truly and genuinely knows the Lord. We should be in continual prayer that the Holy Spirit will give him very specific guidance in how to carry about this work. We should also pray that his confirmation in the Senate goes through without any major opposition.]

> > > Prayer offered by Bill Koenig, www.watch.org

{This prayer of blessing has been offered by a member of our staff.)

- We rejoice in the selection of Governor Mike Huckabee to be the U.S. Ambassador to Israel because we know he will always stand for blessing Israel in every way.  We ask You Father, to release a powerful anointing of wisdom and authority so that he will operate exactly as You lead him, fulfilling Your plans for this time and season and to see a holy justice and blessing come forth upon both nations, in Jesus' name.

-"For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;"  (Colossians 1:9-10)

Senate Republicans must promise a Trump recess and open ballot for Speaker
Senate Republicans must promise a Trump recess and open ballot for Speaker

OPINION:

On Nov. 13, Senate Republicans will hide behind closed doors and elect a new majority leader. If current Republican leader Mitch McConnell has his way, he will saddle President-elect Donald Trump with one of two Never Trump, anti-tariff, open border Republicans in name only: John Cornyn of Texas or John Thune of South Dakota.

If either Mr. Cornyn or Mr. Thune is elected to be Mr. McConnell’s pope and Mr. Trump’s nemesis, the new Senate majority leader will strangle Mr. Trump’s Cabinet appointees in their cribs and set back implementation of the Trump agenda by months — an agenda endorsed by a landslide of the American people.

There is an easy two-part way out of what will otherwise be a catastrophic Senate Republican failure. Mr. Trump and Elon Musk have already called for it: The Senate must choose its new leader in open session. Any candidate for the post must pledge to hold at least a 30-day recess by the end of the first month of the new Trump administration.

Having an open ballot will ensure that all of the senators who have promised to support Mr. Trump will vote for the candidate of Mr. Trump’s choosing. They can’t lie to Mr. Trump when everything is out in the open.

A commitment by the new Senate majority leader to hold a 30-day recess by the end of the first month of the Trump administration is absolutely critical. This will allow Mr. Trump to put whomever he chooses into his administration without the hassle and roadblocks of either new Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer or the open border, amnesty-pushing, anti-tariff Senate Republican wing.

The recess appointments clause of the Constitution (Article II, Section 2, Clause 3) states: “The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.”

While such appointments made in recess are temporary, the official can still serve until the end of the following Senate session. In the Trump scenario, this would allow such appointees to hold the position for up to nearly two years without Senate confirmation. (Excerpt) Read more here. Source: Washington Times

- Father God, we thank you for the keen insight provided by Peter Navarro in writing this article. It looks like what we have now in the Senate is a free-for-all.

Trump taps former New York Rep Lee Zeldin
to lead EPA
Lee Zeldin served as congressman, then ran for governor in Empire State

The New York Post was first to report on Trump picking Zeldin to lead the EPA.

"I'm looking forward to serving in President Trump's Cabinet as EPA Administrator. Together, we will restore American energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring back American jobs, make the United States the global leader of Artificial Intelligence advancement, and slash the red tape holding back American workers from upward economic mobility," Zeldin told Fox News Digital on Monday. "We will do this all while conserving our environment, protecting access to clean air and water, and keeping the American people healthy. I look forward to contributing to President Trump’s agenda to build a more prosperous future for our nation."

Zeldin represented New York’s 1st Congressional District from 2015 to 2023, and in 2022 he made a run for governor, garnering the most votes for a Republican candidate in 50 years. Read more here

- Lord God in Heaven, once again this morning we lift this Cabinet nominee to You.
As our President continues to appoint men and women of excellent character and quality to fill these critical positions, we too, as Your intercessors, lift each one to You, asking for Your Hand of Blessing to rest upon each one. We thank You for the selection of Rep. Lee Zeldin, and ask that You grant him Your wisdom as leads the men and women of the EPA. Amen.

- We thank You that Lee Zeldin has been appointed to fill this key position. Thank You, O Lord, for granting him Your wisdom as he fulfills this responsibility for our
nation. Amen.

- "If any of you lack wisdom, let him go to the Father who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 5:16)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

Another Late-Season Caribbean Tropical Storm Is Likely To Form

At a Glance

  • The National Hurricane Center says there is a high chance of tropical development in the western Caribbean.
  • It's likely this system will become the season's 18th named storm, Sara.
  • Interests in the western Caribbean and even Florida should monitor the forecast for now.

A tropical depression is likely to form in the western Caribbean by the end of the week and will then intensify into the season's 18th named storm, Sara.

Latest Status: The broad area of low pressure that will spur this tropical development is located in the Caribbean Sea. This low will likely form into a tropical depression somewhere in the red-shaded area in the map below once it becomes better defined in the next two to three days, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Possible Future Strength, Track: Once an actual storm forms, we'll have a better idea of what will happen next.

However, computer model forecast guidance indicates this system will likely become Tropical Storm Sara while in the Caribbean and could eventually grow into a hurricane. Relatively low wind shear and warm waters in the Caribbean favor this possible intensification.

It's too early to provide any other specific details on the forecast into next week, but interests in the western Caribbean and even Florida should monitor the forecast closely. Be sure to check back often to weather.com and The Weather Channel app for updates on the tropics. Read More

Thought for the Day
"Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.”
(Colossians 3:13-14)

The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
