Trump Warns US in ‘Peril’ in Memorial Day Message
|
|
Former President Trump wished a happy Memorial Day to Americans but warned that the United States is in great “peril” due to individuals he said are working from within the government to destroy the country.
Trump said via his social media platform, Truth Social, that the country “has never been in greater peril than it is right now” and called on supporters to help him “stop the communists, Marxists and fascist ‘pigs’ at every turn and make [America] great again!”
The former commander-in-chief added that he sends warm regards, “especially to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the country they love, and to those in line of a very different, but equally dangerous fire, stopping the threats of the terrorists, misfits and lunatic thugs who are working feverishly from within to overturn and destroy our once great country.” (The Epoch Times) Read more

Major Congressional Leaders Signal Support for Debt Ceiling Bill Despite Backlash
|
|
All major congressional leaders have signaled their support for Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) debt ceiling deal despite backlash from members of both parties.
On May 27, after a months-long standoff, McCarthy announced that he and President Joe Biden had reached “an agreement in principle” to raise the debt ceiling “that’s worthy of the American people.” In addition to raising the debt ceiling, the bill would cap non-defense spending at its previous levels, enhance work requirements for government assistance, and reclaim unspent COVID-19 relief funds, among other measures.
Since then, most congressional leaders have signaled support for the deal, dubbed the Fiscal Responsibility Act, even as it faces criticism from both the left and the right.
For progressives like Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), leader of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the package is too right-wing. The right-wing of the GOP, likewise, has decried the deal as a “surrender” to the left, saying it concedes too much to Democrats.
The House Freedom Caucus, a powerful force in the House GOP, has also signaled it’s against the deal. Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Chip Roy (R-Texas), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Dan Bishop (R-N.C.), and Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), among others, have each said they won’t support the package.
But despite bipartisan discontent with the package, major congressional leaders have each signaled their support for it. (The Epoch Times) Read more

Nasrallah warns IDF intel chief: We are the ones threatening war
|
|
Amid recent security tensions in the north, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah spoke on Thursday night for the "Day of Resistance," where he marked 23 years since the IDF left Lebanon, and responded to statements made by the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate Aharon Haliva.
"You are not the ones threatening war, it is us who do so," Nasrallah emphasized. "And any such war will include all of Israel's borders." He further said that "any wrong action in Palestine, Syria or Iran could lead to a major war."
He further said that "after the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000 and the withdrawal from Gaza, the concept of 'Greater Israel' no longer exists." (Jerusalem Post) Read more

1. Israeli killed in Samaria terror attack - Israel Hayom
An Israeli man was killed on Tuesday in a shooting attack at the entrance to the Jewish community of Hermesh in northwestern Samaria.
The man sustained a bullet wound to the upper body, medics said. He received treatment at the scene before being evacuated by helicopter to the hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.
Israeli forces launched a manhunt for the Palestinian terrorist and set up roadblocks in the area.
The attack came after an IDF soldier was moderately wounded by shrapnel during a counterterrorism operation overnight Monday in the Palestinian village of Nur Shams, near Tulkarem in northwestern Samaria. (Read more)

2. Watch: Terrorists stop near Israeli vehicle - and fire at close range - Israel National News
An investigation into the murder of Meir Tamari showed that the terrorists traveled in a vehicle with forged Israeli license plates, and fired a burst of bullets from a long weapon.
According to Kan News, the military post a few meters from where the terror attack took place was manned immediately following the attack.
IDF forces are searching for the terrorists, who escaped the scene following the terror attack.

3. Israel: Iran ‘close to point of no return’ - World Israel News
Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen met with European counterparts in Slovakia on Tuesday and called for unity in countering the Iranian threat before it is too late.
During the closed-door session in the capital Bratislava, Cohen also discussed strengthening the Abraham Accords and relations with the E.U. bloc.
He is the first Israeli foreign minister to address the Slavkov/Austerlitz format—a regional cooperation forum consisting of Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The meeting included Ministers Alexander Schallenberg of Austria, Jan Lipavský of the Czech Republic and Miroslav Wlachovský of Slovakia. (Read more)

4. Netanyahu convenes 'preliminary' cabinet meeting on high cost of living - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened on Tuesday a meeting with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Agriculture Minister MK Avi Dichter along with professional teams, in what was deemed a "preliminary meeting" ahead of the establishment of a new ministerial committee on the high cost of living, which the prime minister announced on Sunday ahead of the cabinet's weekly meeting that he would form.
According to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office, the sides discussed the "urgent steps" necessary to fight the high cost of living. They decided that Smotrich, along with Economy Minister Nir Barkat, will present steps on "opening the market," cancellation of highly concentrated sectors and reducing regulation, as well as a timetable for their implementation.
While the specifics of the committee's powers and action plan were not disclosed, Netanyahu emphasized on Sunday ahead of the cabinet meeting the importance of economic stability and combating the cost of living. He directed the cabinet secretary to draft a plan for the committee's establishment, to be submitted in the next cabinet meeting, highlighting that this issue is a top priority for the government. 5. Abbas signs decree criminalizing ‘Nakba’ denial - Times of Israel
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has signed a presidential decree that criminalizes denying the Palestinian “Nakba” surrounding Israel’s establishment in 1948.
The decree states that anyone found guilty of denying the “catastrophe” inflicted upon Palestinians by Zionist forces in 1948 will face up to two years in jail. It defines the “Nakba” as “a crime against humanity” carried out by the “Zionist gangs,” Israel’s Channel 12 reported.
The decree appeared to be an extension of a more hardline approach Abbas has taken in recent years as he grapples with the apparent failure of his effort to secure a sovereign Palestinian state alongside Israel on the pre-1967 lines through largely diplomatic means. (Read more)

1. Trump Pledges Executive Order on ‘Day One’ of Presidency to End Birthright Citizenship for Illegal Aliens, - Brietbart
Former President Donald Trump, the GOP frontrunner for president in 2024, rolled out a new policy pledge on Tuesday in which he promised if elected he would sign an executive order on day one of his second term in office effectively ending birthright citizenship for illegal aliens and so-called “birth tourism.”
The policy proposal, contained in one of his Agenda 47 videos his campaign released, was obtained exclusively by Breitbart News ahead of its public release.
Trump argues that birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens serves as a “magnet” and an “incentive” for future prospective migrants to attempt to enter the country illegally. (Read more)

2. Deep-Pocketed Donors Bankroll Global Panel Cracking Down On ‘Misinformation’ - The Daily Caller
Wealthy organizations with a history of backing left-wing causes are partnering with a new worldwide group of researchers to combat online misinformation.
The International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE) convened in Washington for its first official meeting on Wednesday, bringing together over 200 researchers from 55 countries to focus on the decline of public comprehension and confidence in science, according to The New York Times. It is partnered with groups such as the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the Skoll Foundation, according to its website.
Many of IPIE’s backers have a history of bankrolling left-wing groups and causes. The Ford Foundation supported the launching of the Black Feminist Fund in 2021 with $15 million in seed funding, according to its website. (Read more)

3. School district called out for pro-gender transition book available to kindergarten students - DML News
The book “Call me Max,” which teaches children about what it means to be “transgender,” is reportedly available to kindergarten students in a Minnesota school district.
Parents advocacy group Crisis in the Classroom (CITC) shared a video of a mother testifying at a school board meeting over the book, which she said was an assault on the “sacred God-given identity of young males and young females,” according to 13 WHAM ABC.
“First graders are busy enough trying to master phonics and trying to learn how to read, why would we allow authority figures to plant seeds of doubt in their existence simply as a boy or a girl, that it might be a mistake?” mother LaDawn Severin asked the board.
“And we wonder why there’s a mental health crisis. Wise teachers, even if they were given this, would never read this to their classroom!” Severin added. (Read more)

4. Mass shooting in Florida - DML News
At least nine people were shot Monday night when gunfire erupted near a popular Florida beach packed with Memorial Day revelers, authorities said. The shooting was sparked when two groups got into an altercation, police said during a press conference.
One person of interest was arrested, Hollywood Police spokesperson Deanna Bettineschi said during the news briefing.
It’s unclear what the ages of the victims are, but some of them were rushed to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Bettineschi said.
Memorial Healthcare System spokesperson Yanet Obarrio Sanchez told NBC6 up to five victims were being treated at the trauma center at Memorial Regional Hospital.
There were no details on their conditions or ages, but “a couple of minors” were being treated, Sanchez said. (Read more)

5. Republicans secure massive pipeline approval in debt ceiling deal - DML News
The highly-anticipated debt ceiling package House Republicans and President Biden announced on Sunday includes a provision fast-tracking a massive 303-mile West Virginia-to-Virginia natural gas pipeline project for approval.
The unexpected carveout green-lighting the billion-dollar Mountain Valley Pipeline — which is 94% complete, but has been mired in a lengthy permitting process for years — was immediately cheered by West Virginia lawmakers who have touted the project’s expected economic benefits for years. The pipeline is projected to create 2,500 construction jobs, $40 million in new tax revenue for West Virginia, $10 million in new tax revenue for Virginia and up to $250 million in royalties for West Virginia landowners. 6. Target link to group pushing secretive transgender policies in schools is deeper than previously known - DML News
A Target Corporation senior executive in the marketing department maintains a position with a controversial K-12 advocacy organization called GLSEN – Target’s Pride Month partner – which is focused on integrating gender ideology at all levels of K-12 schools, from curriculum to district policy.
Carlos Saavedra is a vice president of brand marketing at Target and a treasurer at GLSEN. GLSEN focuses on getting districts to adopt policies that will keep parents in the dark on their child’s in-school gender transition, providing sexually explicit books to schools for free, and integrating gender ideology at all levels of curriculum in public schools.
The report notes that Target gives about $2.1 million annually to GLSEN, whose mission calls for gender ideology to be integrated into all classes, even math, and provides educators instructions on how they can make math “more inclusive of trans and non-binary identities” by including “they/them” pronouns in word problems. 8. McCarthy vows to hold FBI Director Wray in contempt over Biden probe - Just The News
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress if he does not comply with a request for a document about an alleged bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden.
“I have a message for FBI Director Christopher Wray: If he misses today's deadline to turn over subpoenaed documents to Congress, I am prepared to move contempt charges against him," McCarthy, a California Republican, wrote on Twitter and said during an appearance on "Fox & Friends."
The threat to hold Wray in contempt comes after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) indicated last week that he may seek to hold the FBI director in contempt if he refused to give House investigators the documents that they requested. (Read more)

Government characterizing Christians as Nazis

The biggest threat to your Constitutional guaranteed right of religious freedom is the very entity that is supposed to uphold freedom of religion—the Federal government. In particular, the Biden Administration is continuing the hostile policies of the Obama Administration toward Christians and conservatives through its administrative authorities. A recent investigation by the Media Research Council (MRC) reveals that “the Biden administration is weaponizing a government-funded anti-terrorism grant program in an effort to destroy conservatives, Christians and the Republican Party.” MRC has obtained documents showing that Biden has revamped a Trump era program to target those with which it disagrees.
The Trump Administration used the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (TVTP) to prevent terrorism. MRC reports the Biden Administration is now using the funds to target “he entire spectrum of the political right and Christians through “media literacy and online critical thinking initiatives” and other so-called training seminars as part of a coordinated effort to make America into a one-party system.” As an example, MRC cites a chart used by DHS for its training program “equates mainstream groups with militant neo-Nazis, including: The Heritage Foundation, Fox News, the National Rifle Association (NRA), Breitbart News, PragerU, Turning Point USA, the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), the American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF) and the Republican National Committee, among others.” Read More

The German Augustinian monk and religious reformer Martin Luther [1483-1546] was the catalyst and seminal figure of the 16th-century Protestant Reformation. In the fall of 1517 he drafted a set of propositions for the purpose of conducting an academic debate on a particular well-known Catholic method of exploitation in the Middle Ages, the practice of selling indulgences. This practice involved a monetary payment of penalty that, supposedly, absolved one of past sins and/or released one from post-death purgatory.1
Claiming the sale of indulgences was unbiblical, Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg.2 Luther’s objections were particularly directed toward what he deemed as 1) the heresy of the purchase and sale of salvation, 2) aggressive marketing practices of German Dominican friar Johann Tetzel [1465-1519], and 3) the scandalous conduct of ‘pardoners’.
Unbeknownst to himself, the small-town monk Luther had just lit the fuse of a religious reform movement that swept Europe in the 1500s. Known as the Protestant Reformation, the movement resulted in the creation of a branch of Christianity called Protestantism, a name used collectively to refer to the many religious groups that separated from the Roman Catholic Church due to differences in doctrine.3
. . . What appears certain is that very little remains of the robust theological underpinnings and inherent power [Gr. dunamis] that took off in Germany in 1517, soared in England in 1534, and began its triumphal march on the Eastern Shores of America in 1620.
What was once publicly declared and testified to, remains today, often even privately, unstated and unexpressed.
Famed sociologist and best-selling author Robert N. Bellah [1927-2013] spells out what it was that, after arriving at America’s shores in 1620, launched America’s meteoric rise in world history: “The Bible was one book that literate Americans in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries could be expected to know well. Biblical imagery provided the basic framework for imaginative thought in America up until quite recent times.”
Cunningly expunged from American culture by God’s antagonists and foes, the Bible in contemporary secularized America has been largely removed from church houses, schoolhouses, statehouses, and courthouses, so that Biblical illiteracy now monopolizes the culture

The Tunguska event was the biggest asteroid impact in recorded history. How did it vanish without a trace?
|

|
During the Tunguska event, over 8 million trees covering an area of 830 square miles were flattened when an asteroid entered Earth's atmosphere.
On June 30, 1908, an asteroid flattened an estimated 80 million trees in Siberia over 830 square miles (2,150 square kilometers). Dubbed the Tunguska event, it is considered the biggest asteroid impact in recorded history. Yet no one has ever found the asteroid fragments or an impact site.
The asteroid lit up the skies in a remote, sparsely inhabited region near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River. It unleashed a 10 to 15 megaton explosion — similar in size to the 1954 Castle Bravo nuclear bomb test, the fifth-largest nuclear detonation in history. "The sky was split in two, and high above the forest the whole northern part of the sky appeared covered with fire," an eyewitness reported.
One popular theory is that the asteroid formed Lake Cheko, a freshwater lake about 5 miles (8 kilometers) from the explosion epicenter. The lake is about 1,640 feet (500 meters) wide and 177 feet (54 m) deep. Luca Gasperini, research director at the National Research Council of Italy, and colleagues said the lake's cone-like shape and depth resembled an impact crater. Hundreds gathered at Pensacola Beach during Memorial Day weekend to pray, worship, and give their lives to Jesus Christ. More than 30 people were baptized and dozens of others gave their lives to Christ during Sean Feucht's "Let Us Worship" latest stop in Pensacola, Fl. "A new JESUS PEOPLE Movement is here," he wrote on social media. Hundreds gathered on the warm, sandy beach lifting up the name of Jesus Saturday–just 24 hours before Pentecost Sunday. "What began with a SOUND became a COMMISSIONING (Acts 2:6)," he wrote referencing Pentecost Sunday. He added, "The baptism of the Holy Spirit was not to make our worship cooler, our podcasts better, or our marketing slicker. It was unto the BOLD proclamation of the GOSPEL. One that can't be canceled, censored, or silenced."
14 local churches and ministries jointly sponsored the "Let Us Worship" event. "These are days of great collaboration for the Church in America. Time to unify and PUSH BACK darkness over our cities," he shared adding, "Pray for a harvest today!!!"
