Buttigieg Grilled Over Biden Admin’s Push For Electric Vehicles, Failure To Build Charging Network
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was confronted over the weekend about President Joe Biden’s attempt to push Americans to buy electric vehicles and his administration’s failure to turn billions of dollars in federal investment into a network of charging stations.
Buttigieg faced the questions during a Sunday CBS News interview on “Face The Nation” with host Margaret Brennan when asked about former President Donald Trump hammering Biden over the issue on the campaign trail.
Brennan played a video clip of Trump saying: “Do you notice [Biden]’s trying to save the electrical vehicle but not the gas-powered, which is the vehicle that everybody wants. They’re going crazy with the electric car, costing us a fortune. We’re spending hundreds of billions of dollars subsidizing a car that nobody wants and nobody’s ever gonna buy.”
Brennan responded to the clip of Trump’s remarks by stating: “He’s not wrong.”
Buttigieg insisted that Trump was wrong, to which Brennan responded: “On the purchasing, he’s not. Of the 4 million vehicles purchased, you know what- 269,000 electric vehicles were sold in the US market. It’s up like 2%.” (Daily Wire) Read more here.

- Father, we pray that the incompetence of this administration be revealed even more and ask that the Spirit of repentance fall over Washington DC and across the nation. Let only those things which are helpful for America go forward.

'We will invite Netanyahu to address Congress,' US House speaker says
The move would make Netanyahu the first foreign leader in history to address Congress four times, breaking his own record of three addresses shared with Winston Churchill.

Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Mike Johnson announced Thursday that he will extend an invitation to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress.

"This will be a timely and a very strong show of support to the Israeli government in their time of greatest need," Johnson said in a speech at the annual Independence Day event at the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

Johnson told reporters on Wednesday that he would invite Netanyahu in the coming week, though a date for the address has not yet been set. The move would make Netanyahu the first foreign leader in history to address Congress four times, breaking his own record of three addresses shared with Winston Churchill.

Johnson said he would invite Netanyahu regardless of whether the Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer agrees to a joint invitation.

The House speaker also addressed the arrest warrants that could be issued by the International Criminal Court in The Hague against Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, saying he was "proud" that Washington was united "in a bipartisan manner against this madness." (Israel Hayom) Read more

- Lord, we thank you for this righteous decision to have Netanyahu address our leadership. We continue to pray for unity within the body of Christ, as well as our politicians that we would all unite and support our Jewish brothers and sisters. We continue to pray for our Jewish brothers and sisters Lord that they would come to Christ. We thank you Lord that in you there is no race or creed and that we are one with you and help us walk in love in Jesus name amen.

Democrat Mayors Ask Biden to Give Work Permits to Millions of Illegal Immigrants

Forty-one Democrat mayors and county officials wrote a letter to President Joe Biden asking his administration to grant parole and work permits to millions of illegal immigrants residing in the United States.

“Our request is rooted in the belief that extending the dignity of legal authorization to work for our residents born in Mexico, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and other countries would be a positive step forward,” the Democrats wrote in the May 23 letter.

They noted that roughly 11.3 million American citizens today share a home with an undocumented individual. As such, this issue is critical in certain “key electoral states” such as Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, they wrote.

The Democrats asked the Department of Homeland Security to “leverage its authority” to grant parole for both long-term and recent illegal immigrants, thus qualifying them for work authorization. Allowing illegal immigrants to legally work in the country would result in higher wages, shield them from workplace exploitation, and enable them to contribute to the economy, they wrote.

The letter claimed that legal work done by illegal aliens would bring in an estimated $13.8 billion annually in tax contributions. Citing a Congressional Budget Office prediction, Democrats said that “new arriving immigrants” could boost the U.S. gross domestic product by $7 trillion over the next 10 years, without specifying whether they were legal or not. - Lord God, we continue to pray for our politicians to have an increase of wisdom and discernment. There are so many Americans suffering right now, please help our leadership focus on those that elected them, whom they vowed to serve. We come against greed, bribery and deceit, and we break it off our leaders, in Jesus name. We continue to declare Lord, that America will return to her glory and that You will rule and reign over this country once again, in Jesus name, amen.

- “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.” (Psalm 45:6)

2. IDF tanks seen reaching central Rafah, as troops operate along key Philadelphi Route - Times of Israel

Israeli tanks reached the center of Rafah for the first time on Tuesday, witnesses said, as the military pressed its incursion into Gaza’s southernmost city despite mounting international opposition to the operation.

The tanks were spotted near Al-Awda mosque, a central Rafah landmark, the witnesses told Reuters. The Israeli military said its forces continued to operate in the Rafah area without commenting on reported advances into the city center.

Footage from Al Jazeera posted to social media purported to show the tanks advancing into Rafah.

There was no immediate comment from the IDF on the witness accounts, with the military saying it will issue a statement on the Rafah operation later in the day. (Read more)

3. IDF Spokesman: Fire from Rafah strike could not have been caused by IAF munitions - Israel National News

IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari delivered an address this afternoon (Tuesday) in English on the war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization and the airstrike in the Rafah area in which 30 people were reportedly killed on Sunday.

Hagari said that contrary to Hamas's claims, the airstrike was carried out over a kilometer from the humanitarian area the IDF had civilians evacuate to from Rafah.

In the strike, which killed two Hamas commanders, the IAF used two 17-kilogram (37 pound) warheads, among the smallest in its arsenal, in an effort to avoid civilian casualties.

1. NY v. Trump: Closing arguments to begin as Merchan skirts decision on motion to dismiss - Fox News

Judge Juan Merchan is expected to bring jurors back into court Tuesday morning to hear closing arguments in New York v. Trump from Manhattan prosecutors and defense attorneys for former President Trump in his unprecedented criminal trial.

The jury has been away from the courtroom for a week, after the evidentiary portion of the trial concluded last Tuesday. Due to scheduling conflicts and the Memorial Day holiday, the jury will return at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to hear summations of the case from prosecutors and defense attorneys before deliberating on a verdict.

The Manhattan case, brought by District Attorney Alvin Bragg against Trump turned testy last Monday when defense attorneys made a second attempt to dismiss the case, saying no evidence had been presented by the prosecution to connect the former president to any falsification of business records.

Merchan still has not announced his decision on the matter. (Read more)

- Father, we declare that the jury will be unwilling to convict President Trump in this matter which  seemingly has no criminal charges associated with it, in Jesus name.  We call for clarity and honor to fill the members of the jury so that as they deliberate, their consciences cause them to decide according to the rule of law rather than as a response to the emotional and dramatic spectacle they have been witnessing for these many weeks.  We forgive Judge Merchan and pray that he encounters the Living God and repents, in Jesus name.

- "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."  (Hebrews 10:31)

- "Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things."  (Hebrews 13:18)

2. Biology teacher calls it quits due to student phone addiction - KOVA News

A Tucson biology teacher says enough is enough. He's leaving the classroom over students not being able to put down their phones. He told News 4 he tried everything in the world to get the kids to power down but the appeal of what's on their cell phone is just too great.

Mitchell Rutherford had been teaching biology at Sahuaro High School for over a decade.

This will be his final week. “I have been struggling with mental health this year mostly because of what I identified as basically phone addiction with the students."

Rutherford said last semester something just wasn't right and this semester he said he was working harder than the students. “This year something shifted, and it's just like they are numbing themselves, they are just checking out of society, they're just like can't get rid of it, they can't put it away." He likens the phone addiction to that of drugs. (Read more)

- Holy God, we recognize what this teacher is responding to and pray for Your divine intervention on our young people.  We know this is a sad reality and we break this indifference and apathy off of society, in Jesus name.  We call for Your strength for families to connect with each other and find freedom from device dependence, in Jesus name.  May there be a strong outpouring of the presence of God, out of the churches and into the neighborhoods so that revival grows and tech-driven indifference diminishes, for the glory of God.

- "And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.'"
(Zechariah 4:6)

3. Netanyahu calls Rafah strike that killed dozens a ‘tragic mistake’ - Washington Examiner

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the airstrike that Gazan authorities said killed dozens of civilians in a Rafah tent camp a “tragic mistake.” Authorities in Hamas-run Gaza said that at least 45 people were killed and nearly 250 were injured in the airstrike, which Israel said targeted two senior Hamas terrorists. Netanyahu said that Israel is investigating what happened.

“Despite our utmost efforts not to harm innocent civilians, last night, there was a tragic mistake,” Netanyahu said on Monday to the country’s parliament. “We are investigating the incident and will obtain a conclusion because this is our policy.”

The report quotes a National Security Council spokesperson for the Biden administration as saying, “Israel has a right to go after Hamas, and we understand this strike killed two senior Hamas terrorists who are responsible for attacks against Israeli civilians. But as we’ve been clear, Israel must take every precaution possible to protect civilians.”

- Jesus, we pray for full revelation of this matter and exposure of anything that is out of order, planned or created, in Jesus name.  We pray that every member of the IDF and B. Netanyahu are covered by Your grace and wisdom to know exactly how to ferret out the truth.  We ask You Abba to erect a hedge of protection over Israel as they are waging a war against a cruel enemy who will go to any length to bring accusation against Israel, in Jesus name.  We pray for all innocent people who are caught up in the line of battle and ask for Godly mercy, in Jesus name.

- "'For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.'"  (1 Peter 3:12)

4. Money Is Going Around’: Former Hotel Worker Reveals Why Hotels Are ‘Loving’ NYC Illegal Immigrant Shelter Program - Daily Caller

Hotels involved in the resettlement of illegal immigrants are making lots of money through New York City’s shelter program for illegal immigrants, a former hotel worker said on Fox News Monday.

The average cost of a hotel room jumped from $277.92 in 2022 to $301.61 in 2023, and more than 130 hotels have joined the city’s shelter program by opening their doors to migrants, The New York Times reported. The shelter program is seen as a factor in the shortage of hotel rooms for tourists and other travelers, and Carlos Arellano, a former hotel worker, said that owners are “loving this because the money is just going around and around.”

“I like to tell people when you see someone like a politician on the news saying ‘Oh, we regret this, we wish this wasn’t happening,’ it’s all lies,” Arellano continued. “Everything from the politicians to the owners of the hotels, everybody is loving this because the money is just going around and around.” (Read more)

- Righteous King, we see this as such a scam to drive the city into poverty while those at the top of this food chain are making massive amounts of money.  We stand against the consequences of this money flow, resulting in the police force being less than half what it should be, food prices through the roof, tourism diminishing because there are no hotels and all those involved in this illegal immigrant program profiting handsomely.  We pray that justice and righteousness would be released upon this city and nation without sparing, in Jesus name.

- "The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The Lord alone will be exalted in that day, But the idols He shall utterly abolish."  (Isaiah 2:17-18)

5. Lawmakers vow support, weapons for Taiwan as tensions with China intensify - The Hill

A congressional delegation, which traveled to Taiwan Monday to meet with newly elected Taiwan President William Lai Ching-te, vowed support for the island nation against increasing tension with China. Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.), the co-chair of the Taiwan caucus, said the U.S. is committing to supporting Taiwan’s military both diplomatically and economically, The Associated Press reported.

“There should be no doubt, there should be no skepticism in the United States, Taiwan or anywhere in the world, of American resolve to maintain the status quo and peace in the Taiwan Strait,” Barr said at a new conference in Taipei after meeting with Lai.

Days ago, China launched new military exercises around Taiwan, just after the self-governing island swore in Lai. China criticized the new leader of escalating tensions in his inaugural address and the military drills, which include ships and aircraft, followed.

Lai called the U.S. delegation’s visit an “important gesture of solidarity” at a critical time, the AP reported. (Read more)

- Thank You Father for Congress members who are willing to make a firm stand in support of Taiwan, its sovereignty and new leader, in Jesus name.  We pray for China to settle down its aggressive stance and desire for conflict and conquest, in the name of Jesus.  We pray for the gospel to run over the island of Taiwan and that peace would reign in this region, for the glory of God.

- "Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; Incline Your ear to me and save me." (Psalm 71:2)

6. Biden visits daughter-in-law's home ahead of her expected testimony in Hunter Biden trial - Fox News

President Biden paid a visit to his daughter-in-law's home Sunday night, days before the ninth anniversary of the death of his son Beau Biden, who was her husband.

The president's brief visit to Hallie Biden's home also comes before she is expected to testify as a witness in Hunter Biden's gun crime trial next month. The first son is charged with making false statements on a federal form when purchasing a firearm in 2018.

A source with knowledge of the Oct. 23, 2018, police report told Fox News that it indicated that Hallie, who was in a relationship with Hunter at the time, threw a gun owned by Hunter Biden in a dumpster behind a market near a school.

She is likely to be required to testify in the upcoming trial. (Read more)

- Mighty King, we lift this action up to You and ask that all wrongdoing will receive the just consequence, in Jesus name.  It appears that there is likely some funny business going on here, but we have no way of knowing, without detective work taking place, so we pray Father, that there would be revelation of truth and that all law-breaking will be fairly recompensed, in Jesus name.

- "'These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice and peace; Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath, For all these are things that I hate,' says the Lord.  (Zechariah 8:16-17)

WHO Pandemic Treaty Fails—For Now

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, May 28, 2024

After two years of closed-door, mostly secret negotiations, the World Health Organization (WHO) came up virtually empty on agreeing to an international pandemic treaty, but WHO vows to continue its quest for sovereignty over world pandemic responses. On May 24, Associated Press (AP) reported that “Roland Driece, co-chair of WHO’s negotiating board for the agreement, acknowledged that countries were unable to come up with a draft. WHO had hoped a final draft treaty could be agreed on at its yearly meeting of health ministers starting May 27 in Geneva.” Driece spun the outcome as “not a failure” and said that WHO is determined to move the treaty ahead by bringing it before the World Health Assembly (WHA).

WHO issued a news release on its website quoting WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus saying, “While great progress was made during these negotiations, there are challenges still to overcome. We need to use the World Health Assembly to re-energize us and finish the job at hand, which is to present the world with a generational pandemic agreement.” WHO said in the release: The INB (Intergovernmental Negotiating Body) Bureau, which has been guiding the process, will present a report outlining the two-plus years of work of the process, and the outcome of that work, which is the draft text that has been negotiated to date. Options for next steps to conclude the agreement process will also be put to the WHA for consideration.” Read More

Houthis launch attacks on 3 ships, 2 US destroyers in nearby seas, group says

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis said on Monday they launched attacks on three ships in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, and two US destroyers in the Red Sea.

The group, which describes its attacks as acts of solidarity with Palestinians in Israel's war in Gaza, said the ships were the Larego Desert and the MSC Mechela in the Indian Ocean, and the Minerva Lisa in the Red Sea. It did not name the destroyers.

There was no immediate confirmation from shipping companies or the US military of any attacks in those areas. (Jerusalem Post) Read more here.

- Lord God, we give You praise that our two U.S. destroyers escaped harm during these attacks in the Red Sea. We ask Your wisdom to guide those in authority in our own military as they weigh how to respond to these attacks. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of the Father who gives to all men liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

WHO Pandemic Treaty Fizzles Amid Disagreements Between Member States

The World Health Organization’s proposed International Health Regulations (IHR) and Pandemic Agreement crashed and burned last week amid disagreements between member countries.

“This is not a failure,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Monday in his opening remarks at the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. “Failure does not stop us,  should not stop us,” he added.

Nation states are convening at the WHO assembly from May 27 to June 1 to discuss ideas to improve global readiness for future pandemics like COVID-19.

Critics of the controversial WHO treaty and IHR amendments said they were a threat to Constitutional rights and freedoms in the following ways:

– Change IHR recommendations from advice to legally binding orders that all member nations must obey.
– Create requirements for vaccine passports that could be used to restrict access and travel as the WHO sees fit.
– Require surveillance of citizens’ online footprint and censorship of information deemed “misinformation.”
– Allow imposition of extreme lockdown measures, including quarantines, required medical examinations and required vaccinations.
– Allow the WHO to declare an emergency at will.
– Require member nations to use certain “health products” like vaccines, drugs, etc., while prohibiting others during emergencies.

Tedros also “failed to provide member states with the final text of the two treaties in advance, as required,” the Defender reported.

The pandemic treaty was shelved Friday after member states “ran into disagreements over sharing information about pathogens that cause pandemics and the technology used to fight them,” the Associated Press said.

However, negotiations are continuing this week as WHO members work to establish legally binding rules that would compel countries “to boost alert, detection and containment capacities and cooperate internationally” to fight the next “inevitable” pandemic. (American Greatness)  Read more here

- Holy One, we offer You extravagant praise for this victory! We come against any words by any of our well-meaning friends, declaring that there is more yet to come, and we decree that this treaty is "null and void" from this time forth and forever.

We thank you, too, O Lord, for the many prayer leaders who have worked tirelessly,
every step of the way, to help the rest of us sort out the many pieces of this dangerous puzzle, leading to its failure.

We also speak the demise of all other related agreements that are still "stirring" at the Hague, and declare each one, too, to be null and void, according to Your will and Your final say so, in Jesus' mighty name, amen and amen.

- "The LORD is my shepherd . . ." (Psalm 23:1)
Federal Judge Denies Jack Smith’s Request for Gag Order Against Trump
Judge Aileen Cannon on Tuesday denied a gag order request submitted by special counsel Jack Smith.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Tuesday denied a gag order request submitted by special counsel Jack Smith in former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case.

Over the past weekend, Mr. Smith’s team asked Judge Cannon to impose a gag order after President Trump had claimed that recently released discovery documents showed that the FBI agents were armed and were prepared to shoot him during the August 2022 search of his Mar-a-Lago property. The FBI last week, however, disputed those claims and said the documents merely suggested the agents were following bureau rules around search warrants.

In a paperless order, Judge Cannon denied Mr. Smith’s request without prejudice because, according to her, it is “wholly lacking in substance and professional courtesy.” She added that the special counsel’s motion also “did not adhere to ... basic requirements” and that “any future, non-emergency motion brought in this case—whether on the topic of release conditions or anything else—shall not be filed absent meaningful, timely, and professional conferral.” (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Mighty God, we thank You for a judge who abides by established rule of law and is not a servant of the puppet state seeking to destroy President Trump by any means possible.  We pray for her protection and continued honorable behavior, in Jesus name.  We pray for President Trump's legal team to stand strong in the face of this adversarial system and speak truth while contending for righteousness, in Jesus name.  We forgive Jack Smith and pray for his salvation.

- "Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations;  You established the earth, and it abides. They continue this day according to Your ordinances, For all are Your servants."  (Psalm 119:89-91)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

Israeli excavators discover 2,300-year-old gold ring at City of David site
Israel Antiquities Authority says ‘emotionally moving find’ likely belonged to boy or girl

Israeli researchers digging in Jerusalem’s City of David archeological site have uncovered an "exceedingly well-preserved" 2,300-year-old gold ring that is believed to have belonged to a boy or girl that lived in the area during the Hellenistic period.

The piece of jewelry, which is "made of gold and set with a red precious stone, apparently a garnet," has "accumulated no rust nor suffered other weathering of time," the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) announced Monday.

"I was sifting earth through the screen and suddenly saw something glitter," Tehiya Gangate, a City of David excavation team member, said in a statement. "I immediately yelled, ‘I found a ring, I found a ring!’ Within seconds everyone gathered around me, and there was great excitement."

"This is an emotionally moving find, not the kind you find every day," she added. "In truth I always wanted to find gold jewelry, and I am very happy this dream came true – literally a week before I went on maternity leave."   Read More

Louisiana Joins Texas and Florida, Passing Historic School Chaplaincy Bill
With the passage of Senate Bill SB123, Louisiana has become the third state to enact a bill that provides for chaplaincy in schools, ahead of the passing of HB334. The “School Chaplaincy Bill” is to be adopted and signed by Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry. State Sen. Mark Abraham, R-Lake Charles, and Rep. Beryl Amedee, R-District 51, championed these bills for school chaplaincy, a proven role in alleviating tension, resolving conflict and bringing hope to school faculty and students.

“Chaplaincy fills a huge gap in support for individuals suffering from trauma and ongoing anxiety,” said Johnny Davis, chief development officer with the National School Chaplain Association. “School chaplains are not just front-line staff but also key contributors to the school district’s success. They convey hope and purpose, vitally important aspects of chaplaincy that are proven to create safer and more peaceful learning environments.” Recent U.S. data reveals the highest-ever levels of anxiety, depression and hopelessness among students, with educators suffering burnout at staggering rates. ( Chrisma News) Read More

- Lord we celebrate VICTORY in Louisiana, for joining Florida and Texas by allowing chaplains into schools! Bless and hand-select each chaplain to make a remarkable difference for the cause of Christ. We declare Your presence and peace will flow into each school, breaking strongholds of depression, anxiety and hopelessness. Bring Your perfect realignment to fall upon schools in Louisiana allowing opened doors for school chaplains across our nation! In Jesus powerful Name-Amen

Crown Him with Many Crowns

Words: Matthew Bridges
Music: George Elvey

Scripture: His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. Revelation 19:12

Lyrics:
Crown Him with many crowns,
The Lamb upon His throne.
Hark! How the heav’nly anthem drowns
All music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing
Of Him who died for thee;
And hail Him as thy matchless king
Through all eternity!

Crown Him the Lord of life,
Who triumphed o’er the grave,
And rose victorious in the strife
For those He came to save.
His glories now we sing,
Who died, and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring,
And lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of Heav’n,
Enthroned in worlds above,
Crown Him the king to whom is giv’n
The wondrous name of Love.
Crown Him with many crowns,
As thrones before Him fall;
Crown Him, ye kings, with many crowns,
