(UPDATED) 22 dead in mass shooting at Texas elementary school, including 18 students and 3 teachers
|
|
UPDATED, 7:40 p.m. EST: Texas law enforcement updated the death toll from the Uvalde shooting to 22, including 18 students, 3 teachers, and the suspect.
The shooter was identified as 18-year-old Salvador Romas, a high school student. Police said that he shot his grandmother before trying to escape police and crashing his vehicle. He then allegedly ran into the school and fired at innocents.
Eighteen children are dead, as well as three adults and a suspected gunman after a Texas elementary school shooting, the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed to several outlets.
The suspect is 18-year-old Uvalde, Texas, resident Salvador Ramos, Abbott told reporters at a press conference. Officials said Ramos, a Uvalde High School student, shot his grandmother before the alleged rampage.
The alleged gunman then entered the school and shot "whoever was in his way" while in body armor, Texas DPS Lt. Christopher Olivarez told KENS 5. "Several police officers were shot," Olivarez said, confirming that the suspect was killed in the exchange of gunfire with law enforcement.
The Associated Press reported that a Border Patrol agent working nearby ran into the elementary school without backup and killed Ramos.
Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Marsha Espinosa confirmed on Twitter that Border Patrol agents were on the scene "[r]isking their own lives" by putting themselves "between the shooter and the children." (The Blaze) Read more here.

- Oh God of all comfort – we beseech You to pour out an overflowing river of love to these families and this city and state, in the name of Jesus. Please let this evil result in great grace, salvations and Godly revelation for everyone involved. This horrific crime did not just spontaneously erupt – most certainly this shooter has been a problem for any length of time, whether mentally ill and/or drug addicted. Holy King, we are devastated that he was able to be activated so cruelly; have mercy O God. May those who are wounded heal quickly; we declare life over every injury, in Jesus name.

1. Gaza terror groups said to be gearing up for Jerusalem Day attack - World Israel News
Terror factions in the Gaza Strip are preparing for the possibility of an escalation with Israel, including launching rockets, if Israel’s Jerusalem Day flag march planned for May 29 proceeds through the Muslim Quarter of the Old City as planned, Israeli media reported on Monday.
According to the report, Hamas’s military wing is now on high alert and in recruiting members, as well conducting checks of its communications systems and preparing outposts.
“This is not an idle threat,” the report quoted a Gaza source as saying.
On Monday, a senior Hamas figure threatened the terror group would launch missiles at the Jewish state during the march.
Mushir al-Masri, a member of the Hamas parliament in Gaza, said “our missiles” will “take down the [Israeli] flags” traditionally flown on Jerusalem Day, Kan News reported. (Read more)

2. UN caves, allows exhibit to reference Jerusalem as Israel's capital - Israel National News
On Thursday evening, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan and the Permanent Mission of Israel to the UN held an event in the UN to launch a special exhibit titled, "THE KNESSET: Shaping Israeli Society."
Originally, the UN was unwilling to host the exhibit unless the Israeli Mission removed references to Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Ambassador Erdan staunchly refused, writing a strongly worded letter to the UN Secretary-General António Guterres that the Mission would not alter the exhibit. The UN conceded under the condition that the Mission add a disclaimer noting that these are not the views of the UN.
Ambassador Erdan said, "They wanted us to hide our Basic Law naming Jerusalem as our eternal capital. But we said no. We withheld not one photo and erased not one word. This is a victory for the truth, for history and for Israel." (Read more)

3. Bennett: Biden notified me of decision to keep Iran Guards on terror list - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett hails the US for making a final decision to leave the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on a US terror list. He says the US president notified him of the decision recently.
“I laud the US administration, and first and foremost my friend, President Joe Biden, on his intention to leave the Revolutionary Guards where they belong — on the terror list,” he says.
“President Biden is a true friend of Israel who is concerned with its security and continued fortitude.”
He says the IRGC is “the world’s largest terror organization, involved in directing and executing deadly terror attacks and destabilizing the Middle East”
Biden’s decision is thus “correct, moral and just,” he says. (Read more)

4. Turkish Foreign Minister Backs Palestinians Ahead of Israel Talks - Algemeiner
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu started a two-day trip to the Palestinian territories and Israel on Tuesday, the first such visit by a senior Turkish official in more than a decade.
Speaking after meeting his Palestinian counterpart Riyad al-Maliki in the West Bank city Ramallah, Cavusoglu said Turkish support for the Palestinians would not diminish even as once-frozen relations with Israel thawed.
“Our support for the Palestinian cause is completely independent from the course of our relations with Israel,” he told reporters.
Cavusoglu is due to see Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas later on Tuesday, followed by talks on Wednesday with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozov. (Read more)

5. Israeli Forces Arrest PA Security Officer Suspected of Terrorism - Jewish Press
Israel Special Forces operated in the Jenin area on Tuesday and arrested Muhammad Husam al-Tubasi, a Palestinian Authority (PA) security officer who is suspected of involvement in terror attacks against Israeli forces.
The forces entered Wadi Burkin, on the outskirts of the Jenin refugee camp, in the morning hours and surrounded a house. There was an exchange of fire between the Israeli forces and terrorists. The forces left the scene without any casualties after arresting the wanted person. A search of the suspect’s home revealed two M16 rifles and an IDF vest.
A-Tubasi, a member of the Palestinian Authority’s security apparatus, is suspected of firing at Israeli forces who were conducting counterterrorism operations in the area in recent weeks.
The PA’s Ministry of Health stated that three locals were wounded during the operation, one of them shot in the knee, and another injured by shrapnel in his upper limbs. (Read more)

1. Ukraine reveals worst military loss of war after attack on barracks - Fox News
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed Monday that 87 soldiers died last week in a Russian strike on a barracks housing troops, making it the largest military loss from a single attack in the ongoing war.
The deadly incident happened on Tuesday, May 17, in the town of Desna, just north of Ukraine’s capital of Kyiv, according to Reuters. “Today we completed work at Desna. In Desna, under the rubble, there were 87 casualties. Eighty-seven corpses," Zelenskyy was quoted as saying Monday.
Ukraine earlier said only eight people died in the attack, but the new figure of 87 makes it the highest loss of life in a single attack from the war, Reuters reports. Russia claims it hit the Ukraine military training base with long-range missiles. (Read more)

2. Biden Suggests Low Gas Prices Are Never Coming Back - Western Journal
comments Biden made earlier in the same briefing — which seemed to indicate soaring gas prices will be the new norm — are coming under scrutiny. The remarks came after the president was asked whether a recession in the United States was inevitable during a joint news conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Tokyo.
A stammering Biden began by attempting to tout “the significant progress we’ve made in making sure we don’t have supply chain backups” and “the situation where we — we’ve created over 8 million new jobs, where unemployment is down to 3.6 percent, and so on and so forth,” claiming people were discussing them “as if they’re a problem. “Imagine where we’d be with Putin’s tax and the war in Ukraine had we not made that enormous progress,” Biden said.
“When it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” he said. (Read more)

3. McCormick campaign sues to have undated mail-in ballots counted in Pennsylvania, GOP opposes move - Just The News
Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick is suing all 67 counties and the secretary of state to have undated mail-in ballots counted toward the final tally from last week's primary election. McCormick is currently trailing primary rival Mehmet Oz by a margin of less than 0.1%
Some of the state's counties are currently holding undated mail-in ballots in "limbo," according to a McCormick campaign suit filed Monday in Commonwealth Court. Campaign attorneys are citing a federal court ruling from the last general election that states undated mail-in ballots that are date stamped by Election Day must counted toward final results.
A campaign spokesperson said that Oz is attempting to prevent counties from tallying undated ballots. A recount is automatically triggered in Pennsylvania if candidates finish with vote-tally gap of 0.5% or less. One will almost certainly occur in this race. (Read more)

4. Biden mulls dropping tariffs on China - Just The News
President Joe Biden on Monday said he is "considering" lifting tariffs the Trump administration imposed on China. His announcement comes after Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said last week that she is pushing for the Biden administration to eliminate some tariffs on China because they seem to harm the consumer more than address issues with the nation's Communist rival, according to Reuters.
A reporter asked Biden during a Toyko press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida about the treasury secretary's remarks.
"I’m talking with the Secretary when we get home. I am considering it," Biden said.
"We did not impose any of those tariffs. They were imposed by the last administration, and they’re under consideration," he noted. (Read more)

5. Pompeo blasts Biden's ambiguity on world stage, saying it is endangering America - Just The News
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says President Joe Biden's comment on possible U.S. military intervention in Taiwan continues a "dangerous" streak of sending ambiguous signals to allies and adversaries alike.
Biden's answer on his Asia trip could have been a "mistaken set of words," Pompeo said in a wide-ranging interview on the "Just the News, Not Noise" television show on Monday night. "I don't know. Maybe he actually meant it. I actually wish they would have a stronger policy when it comes to Taiwan. I actually support what it is I think the president said, but I'm not sure anybody either understands exactly what he said, including his own staff."
Biden answered "Yes" Monday when asked by a reporter if the United States would militarily intervene if China attacked Taiwan.
Within hours, his staff was walking back the comment, saying the president did not mean to change official U.S. policy from providing military support to Taiwan and leaving the threat of direct military action ambiguous.
Pompeo said that if the president intended to change policy, it should've been laid out with more groundwork and clarity. (Read more)

6. There Is ‘No Way’ Florida Will Support W.H.O. Global Pandemic Treaty - Brietbart
“We in Florida, there is no way we will ever support this W.H.O. thing … that’s not going to happen. No way,” DeSantis said during a press conference in Cape Coral, Florida.
DeSantis’s remarks follow news of the W.H.O. pushing for the ratification of a Biden-backed “global pandemic treaty,” which would “give the W.H.O. tremendous increases in power and funding, transferring much of the authority for pandemic control from member nations to the U.N. agency,” as Breitbart News reported:
“Both the IHR amendments and the new “global pandemic treaty” are set to be topics of discussion at the upcoming World Health Assembly.
Supporters say this is necessary to improve worldwide pandemic response, while critics warn about the loss of national sovereignty to a globalist organization that did not distinguish itself during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.” (Read more)

- Almighty God, we stand behind Governor DeSantis and pray for each one of our sovereign states to take up a similar position to resist and oppose this globalist operation against the citizens of this nation and elsewhere. We bind and renounce the "amendments" and the "treaty" and we stand firm and fast for the goodness of God to be established in this earth. We pray that the people of God would rise up and speak out, repent and pray and that You would destroy the plans of the evil one by the powerful name of Jesus.

7. Russia, China fly nuclear-capable bombers in joint military drill during Biden trip to Japan - Fox News
A joint military exercise in which Russia and China flew nuclear-capable bombers Tuesday during President Biden’s trip to eastern Asia demonstrates how both sides remain close "even as Russia brutalizes Ukraine," a senior administration official tells Fox News.
The drills, which the official described as the most significant cooperation between the two countries since Russia invaded Ukraine three months ago, come as Biden is in Tokyo for the Quad leaders summit with the leaders of Japan, India and Australia.
"The exercise shows that China is continuing its military cooperation with Russia in the Indo-Pacific even as Russia brutalizes Ukraine," the official said. "It also shows that Russia will stand with China in the East and South China Seas, not with other Indo-Pacific states." (Read more)

8. New York attorney general subpoenas Trump's longtime ASSISTANT - The Daily Mail
The New York attorney general's office has issued a subpoena to Donald Trump's longtime assistant and confidant in the civil investigation into his business dealings that he has slammed as 'racist' and a 'witch hunt'.
The subpoena for Rhona Graff was disclosed by a lawyer for Attorney General Letitia James' office in court papers opposing Trump's latest bid to rid himself of a contempt of court order for being slow to respond to a subpoena for documents and other evidence.
Graff's deposition is scheduled for May 31, special litigation counsel Andrew Amer said in the court filing. Amer said James' office plans to ask Graff about a variety of issues, including Trump's involvement in the preparation of annual financial statements that have been a focus of the attorney general's investigation. Graff left the Trump Organization, in April 2021, but was among several people involved in keeping his records who provided affidavits to Trump's lawyers late Friday as they sought to have his contempt order lifted. 9. Emily Compagno blasts Robert Mueller following Clinton bombshell - Fox News
Emily Compagno sounded off on special counsel Robert Mueller following the bombshell testimony from former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook. The "Outnumbered" co-host said Monday it is "absolutely unacceptable" that Mueller's report didn't mention Hillary Clinton approved of leaking the Trump-Russia allegations to the media, given the extensive resources for Mueller's investigation.
EMILY COMPAGNO: They used 19 special prosecutors, more than 40 FBI agents. We footed that entire bill. They produced three separate reports that basically said, 'well, we can't prove a connection between Trump and Russia, but we can't disprove it.' All it would have taken is five minutes spent in a room with this guy who could have said, ‘yes, actually, it was greenlit by Hillary Clinton. Actually, yes. There was not one modicum of truth to this.’
And instead, this really important person is the one who approved of and spearheaded it being leaked to the media. And listen, if I was one of the attorneys on Mueller's team, I would not only be extremely embarrassed right now, but I would have a lot of questions. Because either they did know and it didn't make it into the report, or they didn't know. And either of those answers are absolutely unacceptable.” (Read more)

10. Washington Post admits 'voting is surging in Georgia' despite previous reports, claims about voter suppression - Fox News
The Washington Post admitted over the weekend that the number of Georgians turning out to vote in this year's midterm election primaries was "surging," despite its previous reporting and claims that the state's new law aimed at election integrity would lead to voter suppression.
In a Saturday piece headlined, "Voting is surging in Georgia despite controversial new election law," The Post reported that early voting in Georgia was seeing its largest turnout ever, laying waste to its own claims, as well as those of Democrats and other left-wing figures, that the law, signed by Gov. Brian Kemp in March 2021, amounted to Republican attempts to make it harder for people to vote.
"After three weeks of early voting ahead of Tuesday's primary, record-breaking turnout is undercutting predictions that the Georgia Election Integrity Act of 2021 would lead to a fall off in voting," reporters Amy Gardner and Matthew Brown wrote.
They noted that early in-person voting was more than three times what it was in the 2018 midterm elections, and higher than what it was in 2020, a presidential election year. (Read more)

- Father, may we all, as one nation under God, start turning our backs on those who continually seek to stir up strife, accusation, false narratives. Policy-Created Food Crisis
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, May 24, 2022
With fuel prices soaring beyond record highs and disruptions in fertilizer and other supplies because of the Russian war against Ukraine, food is going to become even more costly and scarce. The Biden Administration has been and likely will continue to be inept at handling the ripple effect of its reckless energy policy, the supply chain disruptions from the mishandling of COVID, and the international impact of the Russian invasion. All this could top off a perfect storm where energy policy, fueled by radical politics, forces food price inflation, AND the aftermath of war in Europe’s breadbasket creates a global food crisis. Christians need to gird themselves for a very rough time ahead. Here’s why.
Russia and Ukraine produce about 30% of the world’s foodstuffs. Wheat is a good indicator of food availability as other crops face similar challenges. The Foreign Agriculture Service of the US Department of Agriculture reports as of May 17 that Ukraine wheat production for 2022/23 is forecast at 21.5 million metric tons, down 35 percent from last year, and down 23 percent from the 5-year average. Russian wheat production is forecast 6% higher than the previous year, while China’s wheat production is estimated to be 1% lower. Canada’s wheat production is forecast to increase 30%. The US exports a little over 20% of its agricultural production with Canada as its biggest customer. Europe and Africa will likely be the hardest hit in this foodstuff disruption caused by Vladimir Putin. Read More

Search for Supreme Court leaker falls to former Army colonel
|
|
|
WASHINGTON (AP) — When Gail Curley began her job as Marshal of the U.S. Supreme Court less than a year ago, she would have expected to work mostly behind the scenes: overseeing the court's police force and the operations of the marble-columned building where the justices work.
Her most public role was supposed to be in the courtroom, where the Marshal bangs a gavel and announces the entrance of the court's nine justices. Her brief script includes “Oyez! Oyez! Oyez!” — meaning “hear ye” — and concludes, "God save the United States and this Honorable Court.”
Earlier this month, however, Curley was handed a bombshell of an assignment, overseeing an unprecedented breach of Supreme Court secrecy, the leak of a draft opinion and apparent votes in a major abortion case. Leaks to Politico suggest that the court seems ready to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that women have a constitutional right to abortion. That has sparked protests and round-the-clock security at justices' homes, demonstrations at the court and concerns about violence following the court's ultimate decision.
People who know Curley, 53, described the former Army colonel and military lawyer as possessing the right temperament for a highly charged leak investigation: smart, private, apolitical and unlikely to be intimidated. (MSN/AP) Read more here.

- Father God, we commit the Marshal of the Supreme Court into Your capable hands. We pray she is able to find the leaker and bring justice to bear upon that individual. This foolish effort at changing the opinion of the court must be revealed. Ukraine’s Zelensky urges maximum sanctions on Russia in Davos address
|
|
|
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for “maximum” sanctions on Russia during a virtual speech on the first day of the World Economic Forum gathering of corporate executives, government officials and other elites in Davos, Switzerland.
Zelensky said sanctions needed to go further to stop Russian aggression, including an oil embargo, blocking all of its banks and cutting off trade with Russia completely. He said that it would be a precedent that would work for decades to come.
“This is what sanctions should be: They should be maximum, so that Russia and every other potential aggressor that wants to wage a brutal war against its neighbor would clearly know the immediate consequences of their actions,” Zelensky said through a translator.
He also pushed for the complete withdrawal of foreign companies from Russia to prevent supporting its war and said Ukraine needed funding — at least $5 billion per month.
“The amount of work is enormous: We have more than half a trillion of dollars in losses; tens of thousands of facilities were destroyed. We need to rebuild entire cities and industries,” Zelensky said, days after the Group of 7 leading economies agreed to provide $19.8 billion in economic aid. The U.S. has also approved $40 billion more in aid to the government in Kyiv.
He said that if Ukraine had “received 100% of our needs at once, back in February,” in terms of weapons, funding, political support and sanctions against Russia, “the result would be tens of thousands of lives saved.” (LA Times) Read more here.

Iran will ‘avenge’ killing of Revolutionary Guards colonel, president vows
|
|
|
Raisi says there’s ‘no doubt the hand of global arrogance can be seen in this crime,’ employing a term often used to refer to Israel and the US
|
|
Iran will avenge the killing of a Revolutionary Guards colonel in Tehran, President Ebrahim Raisi warned on Monday.
Col. Hassan Sayyad Khodaei was shot dead Sunday outside his home by assailants on motorcycles, in a killing Iran blamed on “elements linked to the global arrogance,” its term for the United States and its allies including Israel.
It was the most high-profile killing inside Iran since the November 2020 murder of top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
“I insist on the serious pursuit (of the killers) by security officials, and I have no doubt that the blood of this great martyr will be avenged,” Raisi said. “There is no doubt that the hand of global arrogance can be seen in this crime,” he added, echoing what the Guards said the previous day. Moderate Democrats warn about 'reckless' effort to lift Title 42, as Biden admin doubles down with appeal
|
|
Democrats in tough Senate elections say they plan to keep heat on President Biden for better Title 42 plan
|
|
As President Biden doubles down on ending Title 42 by appealing a federal court ruling blocking its termination, several Democrats critical of the move are redoubling their warnings about the dangers of doing so without a plan.
"Ending Title 42 without a path forward is wrong and reckless," said Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, who's in a high-profile Senate race in his state.
"Lifting Title 42 without the appropriate staffing and resources we need will only exacerbate the problems that have contributed to our broken immigration system," Ryan added. "We cannot end this policy without a comprehensive plan in place."
Title 42 is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) public health order that's been used since March 2020 to expel a majority of migrants at the southern border due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Biden administration has repeatedly said Title 42 is a public health order, not a border security order, and therefore the decision to lift must be made on public health grounds only. But Republicans, and a bevy of congressional Democrats who broke with the White House on the issue, say the president needs to consider how to handle the real consequences of lifting the order too.
"As courts consider Title 42, Sen. Hassan will continue to share her concerns about prematurely lifting Title 42 and will continue pressing the administration on ways to have a safe, secure and humane border," Laura Epstein, a spokesperson for Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., said. Hassan is also in a competitive Senate race. (Fox News) Read more here,

Cave explorers discover ‘heavenly’ sinkhole surprise
living down below
|
|
The gaping chasm is more than 1,000 feet long and 600-plus feet deep. Cave explorers rappelled to the bottom, and what they found there was alive.
When we think of sinkholes, images of deep-pitted wells of buckling and sunken asphalt come to mind as they swallow up chunks of earth and everything with it.
Gaping large and dramatic enough, they often draw the curious onlookers eager for a peek at what might be lurking far below the surface.
But peering into one recently discovered sinkhole in the hilly outlying regions of southern China, one finds a lush forest down below with ancient towering trees. It's a place they call "tiankeng" in Mandarin, meaning "heavenly pit."
The gaping hole, measuring 1,003 feet (306 meters) long and 492 feet (150 meters) wide, was discovered by cave explorers on May 6 in China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, near Ping'e village in the county of Leye. What made it all the more mysterious were the three smaller cave entrances an expedition team stumbled upon once inside the 623-foot-deep cavernous pit. Read More

'God Was On His Side'
Mother-to-Be Will Give Birth to Son Twice to Save His Life
|
|
Jaiden Ashlea recently gave birth to her baby — and she’s about to do it all over again. During a recent interview with the New York Post, Ashlea explained she learned at 19 weeks that her then-unborn son, Levi James, had spina bifida. The news, she said, left her “in shock.”
“I couldn’t even speak when the doctor was telling us this,” said the 23-year-old woman from Jacksonville, Florida. The news got worse with each moment. Ashlea, a TikTok fashion blogger, and her fiancé Noah Detrick were told by doctors there was “no hope” and their baby would likely be born brain dead, according to the Mirror. She recalled her mind racing, telling herself, “This isn’t real; this isn’t happening,” describing the ordeal as “a nightmare.”
But for Detrick and Ashlea, abortion was not an option. With termination off the table, the Florida-based couple shifted their thinking: What’s next? That’s when they discovered the modern medical marvel of fetal surgeries. So they traveled to Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando, where she became the medical center’s 31st mother to ever undergo an incredible surgery allowing doctors to perform a Cesarian section, break Ashlea’s water, and successfully repair a large legion on baby Levi’s L2 vertebrae on his lower back. After performing the surgery, the doctors repositioned the baby inside Ashlea’s womb and placed her on bed rest.
She will deliver Levi again — and officially — at 37 weeks in July. Ashlea first opened up about her incredible surgery on TikTok. “Since the surgery, [doctors have] seen so much more movement and signs of any malformation in his brain are reversing,” Ashlea told the Post, noting doctors believe it’s likely Levi will have no major motor issues when he’s born for the second time this summer. “He’s kicking his legs and twisting his ankles in there. I can feel him moving.”
While Ashlea is undoubtedly grateful to the medical experts who performed the surgery on baby Levi, she is also crediting God for His goodness in the life of her soon-to-be-born-again baby “I’m excited for him to realize how many people were rooting for him, and how loved and special he is,” she said. “Not everyone gets the chance to have this surgery. And I want him to know that God was on his side.” As Christians, it seems like it’s hardly a coincidence Ashlea happens to live near Orlando. Winnie Palmer Hospital is one of just 12 facilities in the U.S. that perform these high-risk fetal surgeries. Please be in prayer for Ashlea, Detrick, baby Levi, and the doctors and medical staff who are caring for them. (CBN) Read more here.

Thank you for your patience with us!

Dear Friends,
My husband and I want to thank you for your patience with us this past month, as we had to "fall behind" taking care our CHPP banking responsibilities.
We both came down with a wicked virus which was NOT COVID, but equally "harmful." Hence, we found ourselves to be VERY tired, all day long, and not able to function as we normally do.
Thankfully, we have now recovered and are back with our full strength on a daily basis.
When I visited out p.o. box on Friday, I was stunned to find many, many offerings that had continued to be sent to us, as well as your many gracious notes tucked inside those envelopes. THANK YOU!
We finally got our banking done over the weekend, and your checks were deposited on Monday, May 23rd.
We were also able to check our online offerings and were very blessed to see that
those, too, had been "showing up" - nonstop!
Once again, THANK YOU for your very kind, consistent and generous offerings to CHPP. With your help, and by God's grace, we shall carry on!
In Hiim,
Sara and Jim Ballenger, Founders

Words and Music: Benjamin Ramsey
Scripture: Teach me Thy way, O Lord. Psalm 86:11
Lyrics:
Teach me Thy way, O Lord,
Teach me Thy way!
Thy guiding grace afford,
Teach me Thy way!
Help me to walk aright,
More by faith, less by sight;
Lead me with heav’nly light,
Teach me Thy way!
When I am sad at heart,
Teach me Thy way!
When earthly joys depart,
Teach me Thy way!
In hours of loneliness,
In times of dire distress,
In failure or success,
Teach me Thy way!
Teach me Thy way!
When storms o’erspread the skies,
Teach me Thy way!
Shine through the cloud and rain,
Through sorrow, toil and pain;
Make Thou my pathway plain,
Teach me Thy way!
Long as my life shall last,
Teach me Thy way!
Where’er my lot be cast,
Teach me Thy way!
Until the race is run,
Until the journey’s done,
Until the crown is won,
Teach me Thy way!
