Wisconsin anti-abortion group targeted in Molotov cocktail arson attack: police

Wisconsin anti-abortion group said Sunday someone tossed a Molotov cocktail into its Madison office and spray-painted a message outside reading, "if abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either."

Local reporters from outlets including WISC-TV, the Wisconsin State Journal, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said they visited the office for Wisconsin Family Action on Sunday and shared photos and videos of the apparent arson attack. A shattered window had since been boarded up, and images showed fire damaged furniture and burned books littering the floor of the office.

The exterior of the building was tagged in cursive: "if abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord, we pray that Your protection would stand with this pro-life organization. Let no harm come to them, and we ask for faith and strength for them to continue their work.

-“He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.” (Psalm 91:4)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israeli security forces arrest 15 in Judea and Samaria counter-terror operations - JNS

(May 9, 2022 / JNS) Israeli security forces have arrested four suspected accomplices of the terrorists who committed the May 5 attack in Elad and the April 29 attack in Ariel, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement on Monday.

The suspects were located and arrested overnight Sunday with the assistance of the Border Police and Israel Security Agency, according to the statement.

Two suspects were arrested in the Palestinian village of Rumana in northern Samaria, near Jenin, in connection with the Elad attack, and two more were apprehended in Qarawat Bani Hassan, near Ariel, the military said.

Eleven additional arrests were also made following counter-terror operations in the Balata Refugee Camp and the villages of Aida, Bayt Rima, Bil’in, Azzun, Qatanna and Himza. Israeli forces seized two knives and two handguns in Azzun, according to the IDF. (Read more)

2. Israeli embassy in New Delhi said on high alert amid ‘serious’ fear of Iran attack - Times of Israel

The Israeli embassy in New Delhi has been on high alert in recent weeks amid “serious” fears of a possible terror attack by Iran-backed perpetrators, according to a report Saturday by a London-based news channel affiliated with the Iranian opposition that was picked up by Hebrew-language media.

Security measures have been tightened in areas surrounding the embassy in the Indian capital and nearby streets have been outfitted with surveillance cameras and subject to increased security patrols, according to the report in Iran International.

The Persian-language TV channel described the security alerts as “serious” and cited an unnamed Israeli source who said the embassy in New Delhi has become one of several “likely targets” for Iran-affiliated militias. (Read more)

3. Israel rejects foreign interference on Temple Mount - World Israel News

“All decisions regarding the Temple Mount and Jerusalem will be made by the Government of Israel, which is the sovereign of the city, without any attention to foreign considerations,” Prime Minister Naftali Bennett stated, apparently rebuffing demands made by Jordan for more control on the Temple Mount.

Speaking at the beginning of the Cabinet meeting on Sunday, Bennett appeared to be responding to a list of requests drafted by Jordan which it submitted to the Biden Administration and in which it demanded less Israeli presence on the Temple Mount, including a limiting of the police’s presence, and increased Jordanian control of the site.

Similarly, Mansour Abbas, head of the Islamist Ra’am party and a member of Bennett’s coalition, stated Saturday that he would return to supporting the coalition based on the approval of Jordanian King Abdullah II, who he said was the rightful custodian of the Temple Mount and should be the one making decisions about the holy site. Ra’am froze its membership in the coalition and warned that the party would take more drastic steps if over Israel’s presence on the Temple Mount. (Read more)

4. Israel nabs 4 suspected of aiding terrorists in Elad, Ariel attacks - Israel National News

Israeli forces operating in northern Samaria nabbed four wanted suspects who are believed to have aided terrorists carry out two deadly attacks.

The IDF, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), and Border Police carried out a joint operation before dawn Monday in the Arab village of Rummanah northwest of Jenin in Samaria.

During the operation, two suspected terrorists linked to the deadly attack in the central Israeli city of Elad on Israel Independence Day last Thursday were arrested and transferred for interrogation. (Read more)

5. Israel reportedly readying to assassinate Hamas leaders abroad - World Israel News

As a wave of Palestinian terror attacks continue, Israel is said to have notified foreign allies it is readying plans to assassinate Hamas leaders living abroad, the Times of London reported on Monday.

The report quoted sources in the intelligence community saying that “a clear message” needs to be sent to Hamas.

According to the Times, instead of carrying out targeted assassinations against Hamas leaders in Gaza, Israel would instead strike against terror personalities living in places such as Lebanon and Qatar.

Mideast media reports say that Turkey has moved to expel Hamas figures operating on its soil as Ankara tries to draw closer to Israel. (Read more)

1. ‘Christian Extremism’ And ‘Terrorists’: MSNBC Goes Hard Against Pro-Life Movement | The Daily Caller

President and CEO of Whole Woman’s Health, Amy Hagstrom Miller, told MSNBC’s “Cross Connection” host Tiffany Cross that “Christian extremism” is at the core of the anti-abortion movement Saturday.
Cross started the Saturday segment by stating that another panelist, Co-Founder and Executive Director of SHERo MS, Michelle Colon, referred to anti-abortion advocates as “terrorists,” in a clip posted to Twitter. Cross agreed with Colon’s sentiment, arguing that pro-life activists and supporters achieve their goals “through violence.”
Cross then asked Miller, an abortion provider, what the Supreme Court’s leaked draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade means to her.
“So, Michelle is right,” Miller stated, “there is violence and it is terrorism, and I think it’s very important for us to recognize that it is Christian extremism that is at the root of this shame and this stigma, that allows laws like this to pass, that allows justices like this to be confirmed and it does not represent the majority of feelings and beliefs of people in this country.

- Lord, the left wing media is attempting to use a narrative that is deadly toward Your people. We bind them up and apply the cross of Christ against their plans, that they may fall to the ground. We thank You for Your protection against any trouble.

- “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn.” (Isaiah 54:17)

2. Activist group threatens to 'burn Eucharist' in display of 'disgust' toward Catholics: 'Bigotry' | Fox News

Pro-choice group Ruth Sent Us, a reference to late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, threatened to burn the Eucharist in response to a Twitter user who offered to pray for them after they called for protests at Catholic churches and justices' homes.
"Stuff your rosaries and your weaponized prayer. We will remain outraged after this weekend, so keep praying. We’ll be burning the Eucharist to show our disgust for the abuse Catholic Churches have condoned for centuries," tweeted the organization, which has called on abortion supporters to protest at Catholic churches across the country over the Mother's Day weekend.
St. Joseph's Catholic Church and St. Peter's Church Catholic Church, both of which are on Capitol Hill, reportedly requested increased police presence amid fears that protesters will attempt to disrupt Sunday morning Mass.

- Lord, when these people claim that they will “remain outraged” it means that they are working in the wrong spirit. We bind their actions and pray that you will release Your Holy Spirit to bring repentance that changes their hearts and minds.

- “Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.” (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

3. Global Food Crisis: Farmers Warn of Crop Failure Over Lack of Rainfall (breitbart.com)

Farmers in the east of Germany are warning of widespread crop failures due to a lack of rainfall in the region.
Things may soon go from bad to worse for shoppers in Germany and beyond as farmers in the east of the country warn that a lack of rainfall could result in crop failures.
While no doubt a nightmarish scenario for farmers at the best of times, these potential crop failures come at a time of a spiralling food crisis, thanks in large part to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and associated sanctions war — which is limiting the exports of grain and fertiliser to Europe and the wider world.
According to a report by Die Welt, farmers in the German regions of Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have seen their soil massively dry out thanks to a serious lack of rainfall in March.
As a result, the cultivation of a variety of crops is now in danger, with low yields expected as a result of the drought.

- Lord, the western US is also in a drought – the perfect storm of drought, fertilizer shortage, Ukraine war, inflation, supply chain issues are all lining up against Your people worldwide. We bind fear from all who know Your Name, and place a hedge of Your power around them. We trust in You and not man to provide for us all.

- “Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to Me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst.’” (John 6:35)

4. US Navy chief quietly takes woke books off the reading list | Fox News

Several books on the U.S. Navy’s Professional Reading Program that provoked outrage last year were absent in an updated reading list released Friday.
Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Mike Gilday’s updated list includes 12 books in the genres of fiction, non-fiction, military, strategy, management, and technology.
Missing from the list were the titles Ibram X. Kendi’s "How to Be an Antiracist," Michelle Alexander’s "The New Jim Crow" and Jason Pierceson’s "Sexual Minorities and Politics" – all of which were included on the Navy’s 2021 reading list.
Several Republican members of Congress had raised concerns about these titles being included, with one telling Gilday in a letter that the views expressed in "How to Be an Antiracist" were "explicitly anti-American."

- Lord, thank You for this news! We ask that You bring about a total reversal of the lies the “woke” military has perpetrated and help them recover unity of purpose to protect this nation. May they find faith in Your Presence when touched by the Spirit in repentance.

- “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.” (Romans 15:5)

5. Trump-Appointed Judge Refuses to Dismiss Lawsuit Against Biden's Mass Release of Illegal Aliens into U.S. (breitbart.com)

A federal judge, appointed by former President Trump, denied a request by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to throw out a lawsuit against President Joe Biden’s administration for its Catch and Release policy that has allowed hundreds of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States since January 2021.
In February, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed suit against Biden’s DHS arguing that the agency was overstepping its authority by mass releasing border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior, thus putting an undue burden on states to foot the bill for a growing illegal alien population.

- Lord, we thank You that this lawsuit was not dismissed. We pray that You will stop the Biden administration from this insane plan for releasing hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens into the United States. Let every plan of the enemy be crushed beneath Your feet.

- “For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.” (1 Corin 15:25)

6. EXCLUSIVE: House Republicans Introduce Legislation That Would Ban Biden From Canceling Student Loan Debt | The Daily Caller

Republican North Carolina Rep. Greg Murphy introduced legislation Friday that would ban President Joe Biden from canceling student loan debt, something the administration is reportedly considering.
The Daily Caller first obtained the legislation, titled the Stop Reckless Student Loan Actions Act. The bill was co-sponsored by South Dakota Rep. Dusty Johnson and Wisconsin Rep. Mike Gallagher. The legislation would ban the president from canceling student loan debt, limit how long the president can suspend student debt payments, and increase congressional authority and oversight over the process.
The Biden administration is reportedly looking to take executive action to forgive $10,000 per borrower, or maybe even more. According to CNBC, the move would clear $321 billion of federal student loans and clear the student debt for almost 12 million people. However, Republicans say canceling student debt would just put the responsibility on hardworking, taxpaying Americans.

 - Lord, we thank You for this legislation, though we know that it is unlikely to be passed in the House due to Democrats blocking it. We pray that somehow You would stop the continual spending and inflation-raising actions by this administration.

- "Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.” (Proverbs 28:26)

7. Oops! SCOTUS Draft Leak May Drive More Republicans To Voting Booths, Poll Says | The Daily Wire

New polling suggests Leftist hopes that the leaked draft indicating the Supreme Court might be preparing to overturn landmark abortion cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey would galvanize Democrats and send them to the polls in November may be premature.
To the contrary, a new CNN poll suggests that the leaked draft may not increase Democratic turnout in the fast-approaching midterms.
“The share of registered voters who say they are extremely or very enthusiastic about voting this fall rose 6 points between the first survey and the second, but that increase is about even across party lines,” CNN reported. “Among Democrats, 43% now say they are extremely or very enthusiastic, up 7 points. Among Republicans, it’s 56%, up 9 points. And voters who say overturning Roe would make them ‘happy’ are nearly twice as enthusiastic about voting this fall as those who say such a ruling would leave them ‘angry’ (38% extremely enthusiastic among those happy, 20% among those angry).”

- Lord, we ask that You confound the plans of those who thought that by leaking the Supreme Court document they would sway the elections. We cover the upcoming elections with Your blood and Your power, and declare that You are Lord over them all.

- “They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14)

 8. Putin to send 'doomsday' warning to West at Russia's WW2 victory parade | Reuters

President Vladimir Putin will send a "doomsday" warning to the West when he leads celebrations on Monday marking the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany, brandishing Russia's vast firepower while its forces fight on in Ukraine.
Defiant in the face of deep Western isolation since he ordered the invasion of Russia's neighbour, Putin will speak on Red Square before a parade of troops, tanks, rockets and intercontinental ballistic missiles.
A fly-past over St Basil's Cathedral will include supersonic fighters, Tu-160 strategic bombers and, for the first time since 2010, the Il-80 "doomsday" command plane, which would carry Russia's top brass in the event of a nuclear war, the Defence Ministry said.

- Lord, You can stop Putin from his evil intent. Let no nuclear war be an option. Let his mind wander and his plans falter. Visit him in the night seasons and remove all of his plans for death and destruction.

- “For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, while they slumber on their beds, then he opens the ears of men and terrifies them with warnings, that he may turn man aside from his deed and conceal pride from a man; he keeps back his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.” (Job 33: 14-18)

9. US Senate passes non-binding motion against return to original Iran nuclear deal | The Times of Israel

The US Senate on Wednesday passed a non-binding motion demanding that any nuclear agreement reached with Iran also address the Islamic Republic’s ballistic missile program and support for proxies in the region.
The symbolic measure passed 62-33, with 16 Democrats voting in favor, demonstrating the widespread opposition to the Biden administration’s efforts to return to the nuclear accord known officially as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
The 2015 deal that traded sanctions relief in exchange for curbs on Iran’s nuclear program decidedly did not address other issues. Former US president Donald Trump withdrew from the agreement in 2018 and implemented a maximum-pressure sanctions campaign targeting Iran.

- Lord, we thank You that this resolution passed the Senate, but we pray that You will move on Biden to stop his plans for another nuclear deal with Iran. Let him see with truth the hatred of those who chant “death to America and death to Israel.”

- “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

10. REPORT: CDC Tracked Phone Data To Determine If Americans Followed Lockdown Guidance | The Daily Caller

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) bought location data from tens of millions of phones for the purpose of tracking Americans’ compliance with quarantine guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to documents obtained by Vice News.
The documents, reportedly dated from 2021, show that the data was used to monitor curfews, movement to and from K-12 schools and compliance with travel restrictions. The agency also appeared to specifically study these questions within the Navajo nation, although the reasoning why is unclear, Vice’s technology vertical Motherboard reported.

- Lord, we pray that You will protect everyone who was targeted. We pray that You will stop the CDC from snooping at people’s cell phone data, no matter what it was used for. We ask that the company that provided this location information will be stopped from doing it in the future.

- “They dug a pit in my way, but they have fallen into it themselves.” (Psalm 57:6b)

The Daily Jot

The Fight Against Liberty

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, May 9, 2022

Now more than any time in the history of the United States the citizens’ rights to freedom of religion and speech are not only under attack, but in danger. The Founding Fathers knew that unless there was freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom to peaceably assemble that a nation falls into tyranny. In most every instance when a dictator seizes power, these freedoms are revoked. Today in America, the government, the legacy news media and powerful corporations are working together to take these rights away from YOU. An example of people who are standing up to this attack on your rights is the lawsuit by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry.

Filed May 5 in the US District Court in Louisiana, the 86-page report accuses top government officials of conspiring to suppress information with social media giants Meta, Twitter and YouTube “under the guise of combating misinformation.” According to the New York Post and Fox News, the suit accuses the federal government of violating free speech rights by threatening big tech companies into silencing conservative viewpoints. It names former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki, COVID Czar Anthony Fauci, and Nina Jankowicz, the head of the Department of Homeland Security’s new Disinformation Governance Board. Read More

Tell Your U.S. Senators to Stop Schumer's Wicked
Pro-Choice Bill: Vote due Tomorrow (S.B. 4132)
Tell Your U.S. Senators to Stop Abortion
On-Demand Through All 9 Months of Pregnancy

Senate Democrats are pushing the Women’s Health Protection (Endangerment) Act (WHPA) which would legalize abortion on-demand for any reason through all 9 months of pregnancy in all 50 states. Tell your U.S. Senators to stop WHPA! Act now:

This deceptively titled bill, which we call the Women’s Health Endangerment Act, would legalize abortion on-demand for any reason through all 9 months of pregnancy in all 50 states, eradicating popular pro-life state laws and stripping states of their right to pass regulations on abortion.

The Women’s Health Protection Endangerment Act puts countless preborn children and their mothers at risk, overturning essential safeguards that empower women to be well-informed and protect them from dangerous abortionists like Kermit Gosnell.

More than 75% of Americans support significant restrictions on abortion, recognizing that unrestricted abortion is morally wrong and dangerous for women.

Since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973, more than 62 million preborn babies have been killed by abortion. Countless generations of preborn children will be lost should the Women’s Health “Protection” Act become law.

Will you stand for the preborn and their mothers? Email your U.S. Senators, urging them to vote NO on the Women’s Health Protection Act.

Senate passes security bill for Supreme Court family members

The Senate on Monday easily cleared a bill to extend security protections to the immediate family members of Supreme Court justices.

The bill — spearheaded by Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Chris Coons (D-Del.) — passed the Senate by unanimous consent, meaning all 100 senators had to sign off in order for it to pass without a formal vote.

It still now heads to the House for passage.

“Threats to the physical safety of Supreme Court Justices and their families are disgraceful, and attempts to intimidate and influence the independence of our judiciary cannot be tolerated,” Cornyn said in a statement.

“I’m glad the Senate quickly approved this measure to extend Supreme Court police protection to family members, and the House must take up and pass it immediately,” he added.

Coons, in a statement, said that he was “glad to see this bipartisan bill unanimously pass the Senate in order to extend security protection to the families of Supreme Court members.”

The bill would formally allow the Supreme Court of the United States Police to provide around-the-clock protection to family members, in line with the security some executive and congressional officials get. (The Hill) Read more.

- HalleluJah Father!  We rejoice over this unanimous and bipartisan agreement by all members of the U.S. Senate to protect our Supreme Court Justices and their families.  We thank You for putting this action on their hearts and we pray for the House to be equally in agreement, as well.  We ask for swift passage of this bill by the House, that it might become law. We bless these justices and the police that will protect them in Jesus name.

May’s full Flower Moon will be a super blood moon
total lunar eclipse

Michigan may finally have a good chance at seeing a neat sky event. A total lunar eclipse with a few more novelties will occur next weekend.

View The Eclipse Map

The total lunar eclipse will start Sunday, May 15 at 10:27 p.m., according to Mike Narlock, head of Astronomy at Cranbrook Institute of Science. Narlock says the progression to the total lunar eclipse will take a while. The totality portion of the lunar eclipse starts at 11:29 p.m. Sunday and lasts until 12:53 a.m. Monday, May 16.

You’ll have to stay up late on a Sunday night to see the eclipse, but it may be worth it.

There are a few things going on with this full moon. First, this month’s full moon is called the Flower Moon. It’s easy to understand why this moon has that name, with our spring bulbs blooming now.

The full moon is also a super moon. Narlock says a super moon occurs when the position of the moon is at its closest point to Earth. The orbit of the moon around Earth isn’t a perfect circle. Narlock says the moon’s orbit is more egg-shaped than circular. On May 15, the moon will be in the spot of its orbit where it is closest to Earth. Read More

Museum of the Bible Welcomes President of Ghana for Inaugural Africa Lecture on National Day of Prayer
Washington D.C.'s Museum of the Bible welcomed His Excellency President Akufo-Addo of Ghana as the guest of honor and a keynote speaker Thursday, coinciding with the observance of the National Day of Prayer (NDOP). The Museum's Africa Lecture recognizes individuals on the continent who embrace biblical principles in their careers. "I am a Christian in politics who is unashamed of asserting my faith," said President Akufo-Addo. "It is my Christian faith that has animated my vision to move Ghana to a situation beyond aid by putting our country on the road to self-reliance, sustained progress, and prosperity. The Museum of the Bible celebrates the most enduring book of all time, and it is my honor to speak at the inaugural Africa Lecture."

National Day of Prayer President Kathy Branzell welcomed attendees to the event with an opening prayer, saying, "today we are joining millions of voices who together on this special day are exalting the Lord." Guests included foreign ambassadors and diplomatic staff from many African nations, along with American and African business and religious leaders, policymakers and many others.

"President Akufo-Addo could have done many things when he ascended to the presidency, but he chose to prioritize the construction within his nation of a museum to honor the impact of the Bible on the formation of his nation," noted Steve Green, chairman of Museum of the Bible. "He is a world leader, from another continent, here today to remind us what we should cherish during our own National Day of Prayer," Green added. (CBN) Read more

Classic Hymns

He Keeps me Singing

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words and Music: dLuther Bridgers

Scripture: He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Psalm 40:3

Lyrics:
There’s within my heart a melody
Jesus whispers sweet and low,
Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still,
In all of life’s ebb and flow.

Refrain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
Sweetest name I know,
Fills my every longing,
Keeps me singing as I go.

All my life was wrecked
By sin and strife,
Discord filled my heart with pain,
Jesus swept across the broken strings,
Stirred the slumbering chords again.

Refrain

Feasting on the riches of His grace,
Resting ’neath His sheltering wing,
Always looking on His smiling face,
That is why I shout and sing.

Refrain

Though sometimes He leads
Through waters deep,
Trials fall across the way,
Though sometimes the path
Seems rough and steep,
See His footprints all the way.

Refrain

Soon He’s coming back
To welcome me,
Far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight
To worlds unknown,
I shall reign with Him on high.
