Museums and parks must remove some items related to race and gender: Executive order
|
|
President Donald Trump signed an executive order behind closed doors on Thursday directing federal agencies and the Smithsonian to eliminate what the order calls "divisive" and "anti-American" content from museums and national parks, sources familiar with the order told ABC News. The order -- called "Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History" -- directed the vice president and the secretary of Interior to restore federal parks, monuments, memorials and statues "that have been improperly removed or changed in the last five years to perpetuate a false revision of history or improperly minimize or disparage certain historical figures or events." The order also directed Vice President JD Vance, who is a member of the Smithsonian Board of Regents, to work to eliminate what it claims are improper, divisive or anti-American ideology from the Smithsonian -- an institution consisting of 21 museums and 14 education and research centers -- as well as the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
The White House said in the full text of the executive order that over the past decade, a rewriting of history has cast American milestones in a "negative light" and therefore directs museums to remove some historical context relating to race and gender. It added that future funds for the organization will be banned for exhibits or programs that "degrade shared American values, divide Americans based on race, or promote programs or ideologies inconsistent with Federal law." Furthermore, it banned the forthcoming American Women's History Museum from recognizing transgender women "in any respect." (ABC) Read More Here>

- Father, we lift PRAISES for this powerful executive order to re-establish a 'sound-mind' and 'truth' upon our nation's museums and national parks. We stand in agreement with President Trump's order and in the Name of Jesus, renounce the 'revision of history' that has attempted to bring lack of patriotism and unprecedented hate across our beautiful nation. We rebuke all ploys of the enemy and declare all assignments are now null and void across our Land! We ask for a double-portion of blessings for President Trump and Vice-President JD Vance, as they daily invite Your Holy Spirit to guide them and give them wisdom in leading America towards Your righteousness! In the mighty, powerful and cleansing Blood of Jesus Christ-Amen and Amen.
- "They will set apart men who will constantly pass through the land, burying those who were passing through, even those left on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months, they will make a search." (Ezekiel 39:14)

Massive 7.7 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Thailand, Burma, Collapsing Building and Killing More Than 1000
|
|
A massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake rattled Thailand and Burma on Friday, causing buildings to collapse and leaving more than 1,000 dead across both countries.
The country's military-led government said in a statement that 1,002 people have now been found dead and another 2,376 injured, with 30 others missing. The statement suggested the numbers could still rise, saying "detailed figures are still being collected."
Dramatic footage captured in Bangkok midday Friday showed a 33-story apartment building that was under construction falling down, scattering dust and debris throughout the city's streets. Bangkok city authorities said earlier Friday that 10 people were killed, 16 were injured and 101 are missing from three construction sites, including the high-rise.
The earthquake's epicenter was in central Burma and aftershocks were reportedly felt in India and China. Photos and video from Burma showed two hard-hit cities with extensive damage.
One aftershock was reported to have been 6.4 magnitude, according to the United States Geological Survey. People in Bangkok that were evacuated from their buildings were cautioned to stay outside in case there were more.

|
Father, we pray that You will use this horrific situation to bring more people into Your Kingdom. We also ask that Your comfort will surround all who are affected by this earthquake.

Britain Looks to Ink Post-Brexit Trade Deal with Trump to Avoid Tariffs
|
|
Britain’s government is hoping to reach a last-minute post-Brexit trade agreement with Washington to avoid — or at least mitigate — more tariffs set to be announced on Wednesday by US President Donald Trump.
Britain has set out to strike a trade deal with the United States since departing the European Union at the start of the decade, but had been unsuccessful under the previous Conservative government.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer, leader of the Labour party that won power in July, visited Washington at the end of February and came away hopeful an accord could be reached.
Trump himself held out the prospect of a “great” deal that could avoid tariffs on Britain, hailing Starmer as a tough negotiator.
Talks have continued, with Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds recently visiting Washington, while Starmer and Trump took up the baton in a phone call earlier this week.
It is thought that the UK government wants to agree some kind of trade deal ahead of April 2 — termed “Liberation Day” by Trump, when he is set to unveil supposedly “reciprocal” tariffs, tailored to different trading partners.
|
|
Lord, we pray that an excellent “deal” will be done by the Trump administration. We once again ask that anything the Trump administration does be advantageous to our nation, and not a detriment to our trade or economy.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Trump Admin's First Oil and Gas-Lease Sales Nets Nearly $40Million for US Coffers
|
|
The Interior Department announced Thursday that in the first three months of 2025, the federal government brought in nearly $40 million in revenue from oil and gas lease sales on public land.
The development proves the worth of President Donald Trump’s vision to unleash American energy dominance, a top official said.
"This quarter’s lease sales demonstrate Interior’s unwavering commitment to fostering American Energy Dominance, and we are grateful to those who produce energy on federal lands," Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said in a statement.
"By building on the commonsense, pro-growth policies of the Trump administration, we’re ensuring public lands are being used to their fullest potential to support national security, economic strength and livelihood of the American people."
|
|
Lord, we thank You that the Trump administration is working to bring our energy back. We pray for Your favor and blessing over America, in addition to a move of Your Holy Spirit to bring repentance all over the nation. We ask that the fruits of such repentance would be great.
“Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.” Matthew 3:8

Federal Judge Halts Shutdown of Voice of America
|
|
A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from dismantling Voice of America (VOA), the government-funded international news service whose 1,200 reporters and employees were placed on paid leave earlier this month.
The judge, J. Paul Oetken of the Southern District of New York, on Friday issued a temporary restraining order in favor of VOA employees and their unions. The order prevents the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), which oversees VOA, from shutting down the broadcasting network and its associated radio programs.
VOA employees filed the lawsuit against USAGM, its acting Director Victor Morales, and special adviser Kari Lake on March 21. The complaint accused the agency of failing to fulfill its legally mandated missions and violating both press freedom and the separation-of-powers doctrine when it took a “chainsaw” to the outlet, ordering the entire staff not to report to work, turning off the service, and locking the agency’s doors.

Father, according to some who follow this media, it does not always follow the “Voice of America” mission. With corrupt people in this media, Your ways are not always at the top of the VOA. We bind corruption and ask that your Holy Spirit bring about repentance and truth. We pray that only Your perfect will be done regarding this agency.
“They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption.” 2 Peter 2:19

Israel's Foreign Ministry slammed Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a Saturday statement for condemning Israel's strike in Beirut on Friday.
"While violently oppressing his own citizens and carrying out mass arrests of his political opponents, Erdogan dares to preach lofty values to the international community," the statement read.
"In Erdogan's Turkey, there is no justice, no law, and no freedom. Israel has no need for Erdogan's absurd moralistic speeches. Israel is acting to defend itself and its citizens from real threats and actual attacks — and it will continue to do so," the statement concluded. (Read more)

1. Usually-Vocal Democrats Suddenly Silent About Palestinian Protests When They’re Against Hamas- Daily Caller
Some Democrats who have a history of speaking out about Hamas’ war with Israel are now silent when it comes to the Palestinian-led anti-Hamas protests in the Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of Gazans reportedly took to the streets Tuesday, calling for an end to Hamas rule of the Strip in the largest demonstration of its kind since the war began. The protest was a rare occurrence of Palestinian opposition to Hamas, where the crowd chanted “Hamas out” before armed militants forcibly disbanded the crowd, according to multiple news reports.
Five Democrats who have a history of condemning Israel on behalf of Palestinians in Gaza have not posted on social media or released statements about the protests against Hamas. Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Summer Lee and Greg Casar did not respond to multiple requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

2. Trump Admin Asks Supreme Court To Block Order Preventing Gang Member Deportations- Daily Caller
The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court on Friday to block a lower court order preventing it from deporting gang members using wartime authority.
The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld on Wednesday orders that restricted officials from removing members of the Tren de Aragua gang to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act.
“This case presents fundamental questions about who decides how to conduct sensitive national-security related operations in this country—the President, through Article II, or the Judiciary, through TROs,” Acting Solicitor General Sarah Harris wrote on the application. “The Constitution supplies a clear answer: the President. The republic cannot afford a different choice.”

3. Here’s what happened during Trump’s 10th week in office - Fox
While the U.S. military has been conducting strikes against Iran-backed Houthi rebels, President Donald Trump and his White House have been engaging in a battle of their own, defending leaked texts detailing war plans about those very strikes in Yemen.
This week, the Trump administration has fielded a litany of questions and criticism after the Atlantic published a story detailing how administration officials used a Signal group chat to discuss strikes in Yemen, and accidentally added a journalist to the group.
The group chats included White House leaders, including Vice President JD Vance and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, as well as other administration officials including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Additionally, the chat included Atlantic editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg.
While the White House said that classified information was not shared via the encrypted messaging service, the Atlantic published the full exchange of messages Wednesday. The messages included certain attack details, including specific aircraft and times of the strikes.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt maintained Wednesday no classified information was shared.

4. State Department Moves to Eliminate USAID, Absorb Remaining Job Functions – Breitbart
The Department of State will move to eliminate the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), cut thousands of jobs, and absorb the remaining job functions of USAID, according to several reports.
In a memo obtained by Fox News, it was revealed that the Department of State under Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will “take on USAID’s programs as part of a merger that aims to streamline operations to deliver foreign assistance.”
As part of the merger, the Department of State is reportedly moving to “retire” USAID as an agency and is looking to terminate more than 4,000 USAID employees, the memo added.
A “senior official” from the Department of State confirmed to the outlet that “more than 4,650 USAID personnel will be cut from USAID,” which includes the “more than 1,500” employees who have already had their jobs terminated.
“This transfer will significantly enhance efficiency, accountability, uniformity, and strategic impact in delivering foreign assistance programs — allowing our nation and President to speak with one voice in foreign affairs,” the memo said, according to ABC News.
In a statement, Rubio revealed that the Department of State was “reorienting” its “foreign assistance programs to align direct” with what was best for the United States and Americans, according to the outlet.

5. DOGE Updates Leaderboard Showcasing Savings of $130 Billion – Breitbart
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) updated its leaderboard this week showcasing the latest amount of taxpayer savings.
The leaderboard now shows DOGE savings at $130 billion — up from $115 billion over the last week. That, as DOGE explains, is a “combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions.”
The $130 billion breaks down to a savings of $807.45 per taxpayer, estimating there to be roughly 161 million individual federal taxpayers.
The wall of receipts currently displays 7,351 contract terminations, which it says totals $22 billion in savings. Several agencies are listed, including the Office of Personnel Management and Department of Treasury.
On X, DOGE provided another contract update, revealing that agencies this week “terminated 113 wasteful contracts with a ceiling value of $4.7B and savings of $3.3B.”

6. More Than 300 Student Visas Revoked As Trump Cracks Down On Foreign Terrorist Supporters- Daily caller
More than 300 student visas have been revoked as the Trump administration works to crack down on student protesters who express support for Hamas and other terrorist organizations.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said at a press conference Thursday that the administration is revoking visas from “lunatics” “every day” and that the number may be over 300. The news comes as the administration has taken drastic steps to put an end to the often violent antisemitic protests that have taken place on college campuses across the U.S. since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on Oct. 7, 2023.
“It might be more than 300 at this point,” Rubio said. “We do it every day. Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa.”
Several protesters have already been deported and multiple others have been detained as they await deportation measures. There are over 1.5 million student visa holders in the U.S., according to Axios, which first reported the number of visas revoked.

Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano lava fountain reaches 1,000 feet in jaw-dropping eruption
|
|
Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano once again captivated onlookers with a stunning display of nature’s power as it spewed lava fountains reaching up to 1,000 feet during its latest eruptive cycle.
This remarkable phenomenon drew locals and tourists to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where the sight of glowing molten rock against the night sky became a significant attraction.
Geologists say the eruption began on December 23 and has seen intermittent pauses and resurgences, occurring over a dozen times since its initiation.
Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano
The most recent active phase continued from midday Tuesday until Wednesday evening, as the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed.
Thankfully, the lava has remained confined within the volcano’s summit caldera and has not threatened nearby residential areas, easing concerns for safety in surrounding communities.
Kilauea, situated on the southeastern side of the Big Island, is classified as one of the most active volcanoes in the world and holds the title of the busiest volcano in Hawaii.
With an eruption history dating back to 1952, Kilauea has become a focal point for scientific research and a place of fascination for visitors.
Since its significant fissure eruption in 2018, which dramatically altered the landscape and destroyed hundreds of homes, Kilauea has continued to be a subject of intense geological observation. Read More
