Big Abortion Lobby Day: Pro-Lifers Unite to Defund Planned Parenthood and Protect Life
March 27, 2025 was Big Abortion Lobby Day, in which pro-lifers gathered both in and outside the walls of Congress united in their mission to call for the defunding of Planned Parenthood - America's largest abortion business - and the protection of both mothers and the unborn. Students for Life of America (SFLA) coordinated the event, with support pouring in from members of Congress, pro-life activists, Family Research Council, and several other prominent groups, all joining the ranks to amplify the call for change.
Outside the Halls of Government

During a press conference behind the Capitol, speakers passionately voiced their opposition to abortion, emphasizing that not a single taxpayer dime should have ever gone toward Planned Parenthood. As Charlotte Lozier Institute has researched, the equivalent of roughly $2 million in taxpayer dollars flows to the abortion giant daily. Still, pro-lifers flooding the Capitol grounds were equally boisterous in their cry: it’s not too late to change course. And with each new speaker, fresh reasons emerged for why this course correction must happen now.

Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) pulled no punches, calling Planned Parenthood “Child Abuse Incorporated.” He urged advocates to seize this opportunity — especially under a historically pro-life presidential administration — to demand change. As Students for Life of America (SFLA) President Kristan Hawkins told TWS, “The pro-life movement is united in this effort. We’ve made it very loud and clear with the 100 plus people … lobbying on Capitol Hill [today], [including the many] who couldn’t even come down, that we are united in this goal.” She emphasized, “The grassroots momentum is there, and we just have to prove it to the GOP that we mean it when we say, ‘Do your job, defund Planned Parenthood.’”

Echoing this, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins declared that the “winds of change are blowing across America,” and “now is the time to defund Planned Parenthood.” Perkins called out Planned Parenthood for its “fraud, waste, and abuse.” It’s a “chop-shop for babies,” he proclaimed, adding that the group continues to leach money from hardworking Americans. As long as Planned Parenthood remains government-funded, Perkins warned, it is “killing America’s opportunity to be great again.” (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You that Your people are rising up in unity to demand that Congress pass a law to defund Planned Parenthood and to protect the lives of our unborn babies. We call for the speedy passage of this bill in both the House and in the Senate, so that President Trump can sign this into law. Amen.

- " I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;" (Deuteronomy 30:19)
Appellate Judges Let Lower Court Block Trump Admin's Deportations

On Wednesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit denied the president’s request for a stay of District Court Judge James Boasberg’s temporary restraining order (TRO) halting the deportation of foreign terrorist criminals affiliated with the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang. Judges Karen Henderson (appointed by George H.W. Bush) and Patricia Millett (appointed by Barack Obama) denied Trump’s request for a stay, allowing Boasberg’s TRO to remain in effect. Judge Justin R. Walker (appointed by Trump) dissented and would have granted the stay.

Earlier this month, the president invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 (AEA), a wartime law giving him sweeping powers to arrest, detain, and deport foreign nationals who come from countries with whom the U.S. is currently in conflict. Under the provisions of the AEA, the Trump administration began the deportation of Venezuelan nationals, whom law enforcement had identified as members of TdA. Almost immediately, Boasberg issued a TRO preventing the Trump administration from deporting TdA members, later arguing that the president and his deputies must afford TdA members “due process” prior to removing them from the country.

Trump administration officials have argued that the president’s use of the AEA is not subject to judicial review and, further, that district courts have no jurisdiction to impose nationwide injunctions and TROs halting the president’s agenda. The president appealed Boasberg’s TRO, asking the appellate court to strike it down. While the appellate judges clarified that TROs are generally not subject to appellate review, the fact that Boasberg’s order specifically applied to the president lent the case enough gravity to merit review.

In her opinion denying a stay of Boasberg’s TRO, the Republican-appointed Henderson did demand that Boasberg narrow the scope of his TRO to ensure that it did not enjoin the president, but ultimately stated, “At this early stage, the government has yet to show a likelihood of success on the merits. The equities favor the plaintiffs. And the district court entered the TROs for a quintessentially valid purpose: to protect its remedial authority long enough to consider the parties’ arguments.” (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

- Holy One, this matter seems to be foul, out of control and beyond the boundaries of governing authority. Allowing irresponsible activist judges to have their way against the President, stifling the will and silencing the voices of the majority of our entire nation is foolishness. We ask You Abba, to intervene with righteousness and justice from the foundation of Your heavenly throne and release fire in the bellies of those who have the authority and wisdom to deal with this matter and bring it back under Godly justice according to the word of God, in Jesus name. There are many suggestions on the table about how to deal with a local district judge who exercises national authority over the will of the people and their elected president, however, we know not what to do, but we fix our eyes on You. We pray for divine strategies to remove such great powers from unelected local judges, in Jesus name.

- "and said:'O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?'" (2 Chronicles 20:6)

- "But the Lord shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness." (Psalm 9:7-8)
Report: CCP Front Groups Operating out of St. Paul, Minn. Building

A new investigative report has revealed that multiple Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-linked organizations are operating out of a single building in St. Paul, Minnesota and are engaging in a variety of activities designed to undermine the U.S.

In a two-part Breitbart News investigative report published Wednesday, the authors detail how “a web of businesses and groups” with ties to the CCP have used the building in order to “curry favor” with powerful American politicians, provide services to Chinese Americans who remain loyal to the communist regime, and host Chinese government officials for meet-and-greets.

The investigation found that at least one entity housed within the building, the Overseas Chinese Service Center of Minnesota (“Minnesota OCSC”), has direct ties to the CCP’s “united front,” an extensive network of CCP intelligence gathering and other services that operate in other countries. A former CIA analyst described how the united front “damages U.S. interests through legal and illegal technology transfer, surveillance of Chinese diaspora communities, promotion of favorable narratives about the PRC through ostensibly independent voices, and the neutralization or harassment of critics of the CCP.”

Chinese President Xi Jinping further characterized the CCP’s united front work as a “magic weapon” that “undermine[s] the sovereignty and integrity of the political system of targeted states.” (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

- Father God, we praise You for uncovering this evil scheme. We ask that the authorities will move in to place a limit on these CCP activities, even while monitoring their work. Thank You, O Lord, for protecting our people. In Your Name, amen and amen!

- "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light." (Mark 4:22)
