"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"
TODAY'S TOP STORY
Ukraine appears to have begun shelling Russian territory

The Ukrainian military has begun to take the fight to Russian territory, a new development in what has been a primarily defensive war for the country.

Russian authorities were forced to place two villages under emergency orders and evacuate some citizens due to Ukrainian shelling in the area, according to reports from multiple Russian media outlets.

Interfax, another Kremlin-friendly publication, reported that Zhuravlyovka and the nearby town of Niekhoteyevka were placed under emergency orders, and roughly 180 people were evacuated to the city of Belgorod as the result of an explosion at an ammunition depot. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father, we thank You that the battle has now turned for the defense of the sovereign nation of Ukraine. Only You know the outcome that is in Your will for these two nations, Lord. May Your will be done, amen and amen.

- " . . . there is a time for war . . ." (Ecclesiastes 3:8)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Negev Summit gives Iran ‘something to fear,’ Lapid says - The Jerusalem Post

The historic summit took place amid negotiations between world powers and Iran to return to the 2015 nuclear deal.
Cooperation between Israel, the US, Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates should strike fear in Iran, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said Monday at the Negev Summit.

“The shared capabilities we are building intimidate and deter our common enemies, first and foremost Iran and its proxies,” he said. “They certainly have something to fear.” The way to stop those enemies “is not hesitation and being conciliatory; rather, it is determination and strength,” he added. 2. At least 5 people killed in shooting attack in central Israel | All Israel News

At least 5 people were killed in a shooting attack that took place around 8 pm local time in the city of Bnei Brak in central Israel. Israel's national emergency medical service Magen David Adom said that paramedics are treating people who were wounded in three different locations around the city, including at least one person in serious condition.

The Israeli police reported a “difficult situation in a few scenes,’ in which the shooter drove a motorcycle and shot at civilians using an M-16 rifle.

The shooter was neutralized. The 27-year-old came from the village of Ya'bad in the northern West Bank. He had been jailed in the past and had worked at a building site in Bnei Brak. (Read more)

3. Shin Bet, cops to round up terror convicts with IS links in wave of arrests - Times of Israel

Officials estimate some 20-30 sleeper cells loyal to jihadist group exist in Israel; Interior Minister Shaked said to look into stripping loyalists of their citizenship.

The Shin Bet and police were expected throughout Monday night to begin rounding up former terror convicts with Islamic State links and those investigated for suspected connections to the jihadist group, a day after two police officers were killed in a shooting attack by two Islamic State supporters who were Israeli citizens.

Border Police officers Yazan Falah and Shirel Aboukrat, both 19, were laid to rest earlier on Monday.

Both of the terrorists were shot dead by members of a unit of undercover officers who were eating at a nearby restaurant, police officials said. (Read more)

4. ‘A Privilege to Help in Their Hour of Need’: Israel Welcomes 10,000th Immigrant Since Russian Invasion of Ukraine - The Algemeiner

Sasha Zlobjn from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv became the 10,000th refugee to immigrate to Israel since the start of the Russian invasion last month, Israel’s Immigration and Absorption Ministry announced on Monday.

“I fled from Kharkiv with my grandmother and grandfather, but unfortunately my parents were left behind,” Zlobjn recounted upon arriving at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport. “It was an exhausting journey that ended with this nice reception.”

Zlobjn landed on Monday with his grandparents on a flight from the Moldovan capital Chisinau, along with 90 other immigrants.

Immigration and Absorption Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata said that “despite the difficult circumstances that brought us the widespread immigration from Ukraine, the State of Israel considers this a time of goodwill and there is a great national and government mobilization for the absorption of immigrants.” (Read more and view Sasha's picture by going here.)

5. Earliest mosaic in Israel dedicated to Jesus may soon be sprung from prison - Times of Israel

3rd-century Christian structure and 3 mosaics with inscriptions – including ‘to the God Jesus Christ’ – were uncovered at Meggido jail in 2004-08; it may now become a tourist site.

Plans are underway to move Megiddo prison in order to excavate the Israeli church with the earliest mosaic dedicated to Jesus.

In 2004, a Greek inscription “to the God Jesus Christ” was uncovered inside a 3rd-century structure during Israel Antiquities Authority salvage operations ahead of a proposed expansion of the prison in northern Israel.

On Thursday, Israel Prisons Service, Megiddo Regional Council and Israel Antiquities Authority personnel toured the Megiddo Prison in preparation for the prison’s evacuation ahead of renewed excavations at this important early Christian site, according to the IAA’s Hebrew Facebook page. The new excavations may commence in June, according to the post.

In 2004-2008, Dr. Yotam Tepper headed excavations at the prison ahead of the proposed expansion. Now, in light of the significant archaeological finds, discussions are well underway to relocate the entire prison complex, re-expose the mosaics underneath and build a tourist site.

“This structure is interpreted as the oldest Christian prayer house in the world… and in fact, it tells the story of Christianity even before it became official,” according to the IAA’s Facebook page. (Read more)

God bless the government of Israel for pursuing this project on behalf of the history of Christianity on their land. Amen.

1. Biden Calls For Raising Taxes On Oil Drillers Amid Energy Crisis - The Daily Caller

President Joe Biden’s budget proposes to scrap more than $45 billion in fossil fuel subsidies, his administration’s latest attack on the beleaguered industry. The White House budget will remove more than a dozen fossil fuel industry tax credits, increasing the federal government’s revenue by an estimated $45.2 billion between 2023-2032, according to the proposal published Monday.

The administration explained that the proposal was written to prevent further fossil fuel investment. “These oil, gas, and coal tax preferences distort markets by encouraging more investment in the fossil fuel sector than would occur under a neutral system,” the Department of the Treasury wrote in its general budget explanation.

“This market distortion is detrimental to long-term energy security and is also inconsistent with the Administration’s policy of supporting a clean energy economy, reducing our reliance on oil, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” the department added.

- Holy King, we ask You to intervene on this governmental overreach that is intended to cause the people of this nation to suffer in immeasurable ways.  It will have an additional devastating impact on the world at large as well.  Please advance Your righteousness upon this administration and Congress.  Let there be cries for honor, integrity, justice, and truth in the halls of our federal government and every state government as well, so that there will be no rest for the wicked, in Jesus name.

2. Justice Thomas Presents Arguments Remotely After Being Released From The Hospital - The Daily Caller

Chief Justice John Roberts announced that Associate Justice Clarence Thomas would participate remotely in U.S. Supreme Court arguments Monday following his recent health scare. “Justice Thomas is participating remotely this morning,” Roberts said at the start of Monday’s Supreme Court Session. Thomas asked multiple questions by phone during the session.

Thomas was released from the hospital Friday after suffering “flu-like symptoms” and was treated for fluids after an infection. He was hospitalized for a week, despite the Supreme Court’s press office predicting Sunday he would be out in a “day or two.”

“He underwent tests, was diagnosed with an infection, and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics. His symptoms are abating, he is resting comfortably, and he expects to be released from the hospital in a day or two,” the Supreme Court said in a statement March 20. (Read more)

- Holy One, we plead the blood of Jesus over Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife for health, safety, and restoration.  We ask that Justice Thomas be strengthened in every cell, every fiber of his body and we rebuke any further infection or infirmity whatsoever, in Jesus name.  Thank You Father for watching over him – we are seeing a lightning rod in anticipation of the upcoming Mississippi v. Dobbs case and pray for him to be strong to lead the victorious charge for LIFE from the Supreme Court.

- "Then the Lord answered me and said:  'Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it."  (Habakkuk 2:2)

3. No. 2 GOP senator to oppose Supreme Court nominee - The Hill

Sen. John Thune (S.D.), the No. 2 Senate Republican, said on Tuesday that he will oppose Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court nomination. Thune’s opposition, while expected, is the latest indication that Republicans are hardening their stance on Jackson’s nomination.

“I enjoyed meeting with Judge Jackson and respect her achievements, but I cannot in good conscience vote for a Supreme Court justice whose record indicates that she will allow her personal political opinions to shape her judicial decisions,” Thune said.

Democrats don't need GOP support to confirm Jackson as long as all 50 of their members support her and are present to vote, and Vice President Harris can break a tie. (Read more)

- Thank You Jesus for Republicans who are standing strong against the side-stepping of truth and honesty exhibited by the Supreme Court nominee during the confirmation hearings.  We pray in a firm and specific way that there will be Democrats willing to oppose this nomination.  We ask You to intervene on their ability vote to confirm and give them dreams of truth that cause them to fear God rather than fear democratic retribution.

- "'Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.'"  (1 Chronicles 19:7)

4. Trump responds in fury after Jan 6 Committee holds two top insiders in contempt of Congress - DML News

Former President Donald Trump responded in fury after the January 6 Committee voted Monday night to hold two of his closes aides, Dan Scavino and Peter Navarro, in contempt of Congress. The House of Representatives will then vote on the issue, where it is expected to pass with the Democrat majority, and will then be sent over to the Justice Department.

The committee claims Scavino and Navarro may have information about Trump trying to overturn the 2020 election, and claim they also “played a key role.”

Trump blasted out the following statement Monday night, which was posted to Twitter by his spokesperson, Liz Harrington:

So the Radical Left Democrats in Congress and the Unselect Committee continue to seek the destruction of lives of very good people, but have no interest in going after the criminals and thugs who cheated like mad dogs on the 2020 Presidential Election.

All the evidence is in and conclusive, but they, and the Fake News Media, refuse to look at or report it. (Read more)

- Father, we stand against these charges by the J6 committee.  It seems to be a continuation of the "trumped-up" impeachment trials as well as the Russia hoax which is being debunked by the Durham probe.  We will cry out for justice in this matter to our Just Judge, just as the widow did to the unjust judge in Luke 18.  We ask Abba that You give us wise strategies to counter the unrighteous deeds taking place against the citizens of this nation, in Jesus name.

- "The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates."  (Psalm 11:5)

5. Important list of key items included in Biden’s FY2023 budget proposal - DML News

Joe Biden’s $5.8 trillion Fiscal Year 2023 budget includes a lot of progressive agenda items like clean energy and climate initiatives, but will also alienate that branch of the Democratic Party by giving additional funding for law enforcement.

“Included in the budget is a wealth tax which would fundamentally change Americans’ relationship with the federal government. Wealth taxes are invasive, inefficient sources of revenue. This budget is a slap in the face to taxpayers and consumers.”

In their extensive report on Biden’s proposed budget, the Daily Mail provides the following list of some items that are included:

  • Minimum 20% tax on the incomes of households worth $100 million or more.
  • Corporate tax rate will be raised from 21% to 28%.
  • Plans to reduce the deficit by $1trillion over the next 10 years.
  • 18% increase in the IRS budget.
  • $81.7 billion to Department of Health and Human Services over the next five years to prepare for future pandemics.
  • $3.3 billion to support clean energy projects and $18 billion for climate resilience programs.
  • Includes the backing for a Civilian Climate Corps.
  • $309 million for border security and $494 million to help processing migrants.
  • That includes $150 million for lawyers to represent migrants during immigration proceedings.
  • $1 billion for school counselors after the COVID pandemic
  • $10 billion for election administration – including ‘making ballots postage free’.

- Mighty God, we pray for a stop to this runaway administration.  Please allow the nation to be so aware of and disgusted with the financial tyranny and devastation of our culture and way of life that everyone turns their back on supporting anything Joe Biden and the democrats propose.  May this be the last straw that brings the downfall of the march towards a socialist "reset" of our Constitutional Republic.  In Jesus name.

- "Therefore this iniquity shall be to you Like a breach ready to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant."  (Isaiah 30:13)

6. Former Maine gubernatorial candidate and prominent Democrat donor arrested on child porn charges - Fox News

A two-time Maine gubernatorial candidate, and prominent political figure and Democratic donor, was released from jail Saturday after making bail following his arrest last week on child porn possession charges. Eliot Cutler, 75, was arrested by the Maine State Police on March 25 at his Brooklin home, a police spokesperson told Fox News. He is charged with four counts of possession of unlawful sexually explicit material of a minor under 12.

He was released on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at a Hancock County court arraignment on May 3. Warrants were executed on two of Cutler's homes earlier in the week. The counts correspond with crimes authorities said Cutler committed from December through March.

Fox News has reached out to his lawyer.
Cutler is an environmental lawyer who has long been involved in politics, working for Democratic Sen. Edmund Muskie and former President Jimmy Carter. He ran for governor as an independent in 2010 and 2014, using his personal wealth to fund the campaigns. (Read more)

- Father, we ask for full justice in this matter.  If the man is guilty, may he find himself in the courtroom of a judge with integrity who will follow the laws in protecting children in every way.  If he is innocent, let him be exonerated.  Nevertheless, we ask You to keep him completely away from children in everywhere and may they be protected from him and every predator that has been loosed on our streets, in Jesus name.

7. Florida's DeSantis signs Parental Rights in Education bill, hits back at Hollywood critics - Fox News

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law Monday a parental rights bill that bans teachers from giving classroom instruction on "sexual orientation" or "gender identity" in kindergarten through third grade. "In Florida, we not only know that parents have a right to be involved, we insist that parents have a right to be involved," DeSantis said at a press conference at the Classical Preparatory School in Spring Hill, Florida.

The Parental Rights in Education bill, which passed the Republican-controlled state legislature this month, has been dubbed the "Don’t Say Gay" bill by Democrats who misleadingly claim it bans any discussion pertaining to being gay in Florida schools.

The bill was mocked at the Oscars Sunday night, with co-hosts Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall repeating the word "gay" as the crowd applauded.
DeSantis hit back at his critics in Hollywood, saying, "If the people who held up degenerates like Harvey Weinstein as exemplars and as heroes and as all that, if those are the types of people that are opposing us on parents’ rights, I wear that like a badge of honor." (Read more)

- Abba, bless and protect Governor DeSantis and keep a strong hedge of protection around all who are taking a stand for Godly morality.  We thank You for healing and protecting his wife as well.  May there be a ground-swell of states who will follow suit so that the sexual activities grooming our children for perverse immorality would be stopped.  We bind the schemes against children, their innocence and the family unit, in the name of Jesus.  We loose more courage, boldness and roaring lions against the powers of sin and wickedness in this nation, in Jesus name.

- "'A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation.  I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.'"  (Isaiah 60:22)

8. Judge rules Trump's efforts to overturn election likely criminal - The Hill

Former President Trump and his legal adviser, John Eastman, likely committed multiple federal crimes in their effort to prevent Congress from certifying President Biden's 2020 election victory, a federal judge ruled on Monday in a civil case involving subpoenas from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.

In a 44-page decision about whether some of Eastman's private communications should be shielded from the panel, U.S. District Judge David Carter said that he found it "more likely than not" that the two engaged in criminal conduct.

"The illegality of the plan was obvious," Carter, who was appointed by former President Clinton, wrote. "Our nation was founded on the peaceful transition of power, epitomized by George Washington laying down his sword to make way for democratic elections. Ignoring this history, President Trump vigorously campaigned for the Vice President to single-handedly determine the results of the 2020 election." (Read more)

- Almighty God, we know that our adversary always puts forth deceptions and accusations through the media, intending to shift perspectives.  We pray for the citizens of this nation to hold God's perspective and stand against such broad-brush accusations.  Let Your peace and strength flow across the land as people reject such unsupported and hyperbolic claims.  We ask You to intervene with exposure of full truth in this wicked matter, in Jesus name.

- "He has declared to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations."  (Psalm 111:6)

9. US still skeptical of peace talks as Russia claims to pull back from Kyiv - ABC News

The U.S. remains skeptical that Russia is engaging genuinely in negotiations with Ukraine to end its monthlong war against its neighbor. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the Kremlin's negotiators had still not shown "signs of real seriousness," even after the two sides discussed potential elements of a peace deal shortly after talks in Turkey on Tuesday.

Russia's military said it would "fundamentally" scale back its military operations near Ukraine's capital Kyiv and the northern city Chernihiv to give those talks a chance.

But Blinken declined to say whether the U.S. had confirmed a real shift in Russian strategy nearly five weeks after Russian leader Vladimir Putin launched his invasion and aimed for a swift takeover of the Ukrainian government. (Read more)

- Lord God in heaven, we ask that our leaders would seek Your face before they make any declarations regarding the situation in Ukraine. Let only Your will be done in this matter, in Your name, amen.

- "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

10. FDA halts COVID-19 antibody treatment for some states - The Hill

The U.S. Federal Drug Administration (FDA) updated last Friday the use authorization for the monoclonal antibody treatment sotrovimab from GlaxoSmithKline and Vir Biotechnology, limiting its use.

In a statement, the agency said that the treatment is no longer authorized for use in several states in New England and the New York, New Jersey area. Shipments of the drug to those states have also been paused, according to the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).

These changes follow new data that suggest that the monoclonal antibody treatment is not as effective on the BA.2 subvariant as original omicron and previous variants.  In a study published in Nature, researchers found that the BA.2 strain was resistant to 17 out of 19 antibody treatments in a laboratory setting. (Read more)

- Holy King, this sounds more like manipulation than following honest science.  If it works, release it to every state in the nation, if it doesn't, inform them of the scientific research and stop playing favorites.  We bind the FDA to truth and integrity, in the name of Jesus and we loose them from the powers that seek to dominate and control scientific evidence and human health.  Let God arise, so that people and their doctors have access to every resource in every situation in every state.

- "He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up.  Selah.  God shall send forth His mercy and His truth."  (Psalm 57:3)

The Daily Jot

Bidenocrisy

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, March 29, 2022

President Joe Biden Monday resolutely defended his remarks that could have lead America into an unnecessary and deadly conflict with Russia. Biden told a Warsaw, Poland crowd during a Saturday speech that Russian leader Vladimir Putin, “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.” Since then, the White House has been in damage control mode to walk back his comments amid Kremlin reaction that “This is a statement that is certainly alarming.” Biden’s remarks, off script and ad-libbed, created an international firestorm that could have resulted in World War III. And despite the White House scrambling to take back Biden’s words, Biden himself declared, “I’m not walking anything back.”

The corporate news media that has been defensively carrying Biden’s propaganda about the disputed election, border security, inflation and COVID was seemingly aghast at the possibility that such a gaffe could get them nuked. They went after Biden, who was armed with a cheat sheet so he wouldn’t repeat his Bidenocrisy. First question from NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell: “Do you believe what you said–that Putin can’t remain in power?  Or do you now regret saying that?  Because your government has been trying to walk that back. Did your words complicate matters?” Biden responded defensively: “Number one, I’m not walking anything back. The fact of the matter is I was expressing the moral outrage I felt toward the way Putin is dealing, and the actions of this man — just — just the brutality of it.” Read More

We better increase our DefCon
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.

It is hard to overstate the U.S. government’s incoherence with respect to an extremely fraught topic. President Biden declared last week that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power.” The White House immediately claimed this was not a call for regime change. But yesterday, Mr. Biden insisted he wasn’t backing away from his original comment, spinning it as “moral outrage” at Putin’s bloodletting.

Putin has reportedly relocated to one of his hardened underground leadership bunkers in the Ural Mountains. That may be due to paranoia about a coup d’etat. It’s consistent, though, with preparation for a preemptive nuclear attack.

Our PresentDangerChina.org
webinar last week made the case that, given Russia’s ability to launch such strikes essentially without warning, it behooves us to increase the readiness of our deterrent forces. Joe Biden’s loose talk makes that not just prudent, but imperative.

In Israel: New details from investigation --

Hadera terrorists planned a mass killing spree
One of the terrorists in the Hadera attack was expelled from a Fatah prison wing due to his extremist views. Shin Bet admits: This is an attack we should have prevented.

Police continue to investigate the extent of the involvement of members of the families of the Islamic State-affiliated terrorists who carried out Sunday’s deadly terrorist attack in Hadera.

Channel 12 News reported on Monday evening that the two terrorists arrived in Hadera using a Mazda belonging to of one of the five family members who were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the attack.

A search of this vehicle found bullet proof vests, camouflage nets, flashlights and binoculars.

Investigators believe the terrorists intended to carry out a mass killing spree, and they were prepared for a lengthy confrontation with security forces. Only the determined and swift response of the undercover force that happened to be in the area prevented the massacre they had planned. A total of about 60 bullets were fired at the scene of the attack, most of them by the two terrorists.

The terrorists are members of an ISIS cell that was not identified in time by the defense establishment, despite the fact that the terrorists were known to the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), as are dozens of other Israeli Arabs who support the murderous terrorist organization. Even though the two terrorists were equipped with many weapons for the attack, and even uploaded a video in which they documented themselves before the operation itself - the Shin Bet did not receive a warning about the attack and now acknowledges that this cell should have been caught beforehand. Predicting another Tonga: Answers may lie in the deep
trenches of the Pacific
A team of scientists pulled off an amazing human feat, descending into a deep abyss to set up a "lab" of sensors they hope will gauge oncoming earthquakes and tsunamis. Along the way, the deep dive yielded some striking discoveries.

A team of Chilean and American scientists ventured to a place where no human has ever gone before.

And although it may sound like a space voyage straight out of a Star Trek episode, this real-life expedition instead led scientists to a different kind of final frontier -- one away from the outer reaches of the universe and deep into the pitch-black recesses of a 3,650-mile-long trench in the Earth’s ocean floor.

It was there, off the coast of Chile, that a crew of researchers for the first time plunged more than 26,000 feet (8,000 meters) into the depths of the wide-open sea to begin creating a first-of-its-kind underwater laboratory at the bottom of the Atacama Trench.

"We pulled off the feat of taking humans into the trench where no other human being had been," Chilean scientist Osvaldo Ulloa, a professor and the director of the Millennium Institute of Oceanography at the University of Concepcion in Chile, told AFP.

The team of Ulloa, American veteran oceanographer Victor Vescovo and Millennium assistant director Ruben Escribano set out on its 12-day journey on Jan. 13, 2022, using a 12-ton submarine (or "deep sea vehicle") specially equipped to withstand the extraordinary pressure and extreme environment of deep oceanic dives. The Good News Corner
3,000-Year-Old Tablet with God's Name Affirms Biblical Timeline, Archaeologist Says
A new discovery from Israel involving an ancient tablet could be one of the most significant archaeological finds in modern history, not only affirming the biblical text but supporting a traditional, conservative understanding of the Old Testament timeline. The discovery, announced Thursday by Scott Stripling of the Archaeological Studies Institute at The Bible Seminary in Katy, Texas, involves a folded lead tablet about two centimeters by centimeters in size with 40 letters of Hebrew inscription that apparently references events mentioned in Deuteronomy 27:15-26 and Joshua 8:30 at Mt. Ebel. There, the Israelites learn they will be cursed if they disobey God.

The tablet – which mentions God's name twice – was discovered at the site of Mt. Ebel. More significantly, though, the lead tablet's text is "centuries older than any known Hebrew inscription from ancient Israel," Stripling's organization says. A lab in Prague scanned the tablet. The text reads, "Cursed, cursed, cursed – cursed by the God YHW. You will die cursed. Cursed you will surely die. Cursed by YHW – cursed, cursed, cursed." Stripling said at a press conference of the discovery, "On a scale of one to 10, this is a 10. It doesn't get any bigger than this. … If the [biblical] text were true, this is what you would anticipate finding. And indeed, it is what we found."

Stripling said the tablet dates to the late Bronze period, which ran from 3300 B.C. to 1200 B.C. That means it would be roughly 3,000 years old. Secular critics of a traditional dating of the Old Testament often have placed the time of the Exodus from Egypt and the conquest of Canaan at a much later date – and thus calling into question the truthfulness of Scripture. These critics argue that the Pentateuch could not have been written by Moses – as claimed by the Bible – because the Hebrew alphabet did not exist when he was alive. The tablet's text, though, would seem to support a Moses authorship.

The discovery, Stripling said, affirms the biblical text. "One can no longer argue with a straight face that the biblical text was not written" until the Persian period (559 B.C.. to 331 B.C.) or the Hellenistic period (323 B.C to 30 B.C. "as many higher critics have done when here we do clearly have the ability to write the entire text at a much, much earlier date. This tips the scale in favor of an earlier date and does not help the arguments of those who favor a later date." A peer-reviewed paper on the tablet will be released in the coming months, Stripling said. Gershon Galil of Haifa University said the discovery's significance could not be overstated. "This is a text you find only every 1,000 years," Galil told The Times of Israel. (Christian Headlines) Read More

I want Jesus to walk with me,
I want Jesus to walk with me;
All along my pilgrim journey,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.

In my trials, Lord, walk with me;
In my trials, Lord, walk with me;
When my heart is almost breaking,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.

When I’m in trouble, Lord, walk with me;
When I’m in trouble, Lord, walk with me;
When my head is bowed in sorrow,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.
