Trump unveils sweeping plan to ‘shatter the deep state’
|
|
Former President Donald Trump laid out a 10-point plan to "shatter the deep state" that he claims will also tackle the "weaponization" of the justice system.
Trump's proposals seek to pare back the federal bureaucracy, root out alleged corruption, and deter leakers. Perhaps most notable is his call for the establishment of a "truth and reconciliation commission" to expose "deep state" machinations to the public. The plan marks the latest in his Agenda47 platform.
“I will shatter the deep state and restore government that is controlled by the people," Trump vowed in a video accompanying the policy proposal.
First on his agenda would be to revive an executive order issued in 2020 granting the president power to "fire rogue bureaucrats." He pledged to deploy that "power very aggressively," and his campaign cited a study that concluded federal employees were "fired at a rate of less than one in one thousand per year" over a 10-year time frame.
Trump then wants to comb through federal departments and agencies to root out "corrupt actors" in the national security apparatus. Third, Trump is calling for reforms to the FISA court and the establishment of a "Truth and Reconciliation Commission" to publish "all documents on deep state spying."
Next, he wants to embark on a "major crackdown on government leakers who collude with the media to create false narratives." This could include the pursuit of criminal charges. To ensure that inspectors general offices have the correct incentives, his plan will make them independent from the departments they oversee.
Among other proposals, Trump wants to create an independent auditing system to oversee intelligence agencies, push as many as 100,000 federal government jobs outside the nation's capital, prohibit federal workers from landing gigs at "companies they deal with and regulate," and impose term limits on members of Congress. Biden Signs Bill to Declassify COVID Origins Intelligence on Wuhan Lab
|
|
WASHINGTON—President Joe Biden has signed into law a bill mandating the declassification of intelligence related to the origins of COVID-19, saying that he shares “Congress’s goal of releasing as much information as possible” on the issue.
“We need to get to the bottom of COVID-19’s origins to help ensure we can better prevent future pandemics,” Biden said in a statement. “My Administration will continue to review all classified information relating to COVID19’s origins, including potential links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
He added that, in implementing the legislation, the administration will “declassify and share as much of that information as possible, consistent with my constitutional authority to protect against the disclosure of information that would harm national security.”
This month, both the Senate and the House unanimously passed the bipartisan bill, dubbed “COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023,” before sending it to Biden’s desk. The bill directs the director of national intelligence to “declassify any and all information relating to potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origin” of COVID-19.
Efforts to find out the origin of COVID-19 have consistently met with resistance from China, where the communist regime has covered up cases, silenced whistleblowers trying to sound warnings on the virus’s danger from the onset of the pandemic, and repeatedly refused outside investigators to probe the virus origins.(Epoch Times) Read more.

If you're unfamiliar with the Red Guard instituted by Chairman Mao in China, get ready to understand it better than you ever wanted to. Critics of the sweeping transgender ideology infecting the school and medical systems have likened the ideology's proponents to China's Red Guard, a group of students trained to turn against their parents and other adults to usher in a brutal dictatorship. The Red Guard famously tortured its own teachers and parents in the name of the Communist cultural revolution. A school system in Maine has instituted its own burgeoning Red Guard called the "Civil Rights Team." This benign-sounding organization of kids is supposed to ensure that student rights are upheld. What has happened instead led to parents sounding off at the latest school board meeting to complain that the Civil Rights Team is just a bullying organization with an agenda. Kristen Day said students affiliated with one of RSU 14's Civil Rights Teams harassed her daughter. When her daughter refused to speak about her sexuality, two students affiliated with the club began to bully her and call her homophobic. (Screengrab image)
"They insisted she was gay because she dressed gay and listened to gay music," Day said of her daughter, who was a 7th grader at the time of the alleged harassment.
"She was then called homophobic because she wasn't at least bi," Day said.
"She's not political, but she does not want to talk about her sexuality in school," she said.
Day went on to describe how the CRT (Is it a coincidence that their acronym mirrors Critical Race Theory?) founded by the Maine Attorney General's office, pressured the kids into wearing pronoun pins.
Civil Rights Teams (CRTs) operate in Maine schools as a project of the Maine Attorney General's Office, and the nominal goal of the student organizations is to reduce "bias-motivated" bullying and harassment in schools.
Day said her daughter was harassed about her sexuality by students affiliated with the school's CRT under the pretext of opening a discussion about student sexuality.
CRT members also created surveys for their peers to take with questions about sexuality and gender, and they pressured them to don "pronoun" pins, Day said. (PJ Media)

SCOTUS Overturns Appeals Court Upholding Abortion Without Parental Consent
|
|
|
The Supreme Court threw out a federal appeals court decision on March 20 that upheld the right of a minor to go to court for permission to pursue an abortion without notifying her parents.
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was the sole member of the Supreme Court to file a dissenting opinion in the case, Chapman v. Doe, court file 22-312.
In the case, the court vacated the ruling of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and remanded the case to that court with instructions to dismiss the proceeding as moot. Jackson objected to the specific manner in which this was done because it erased any precedential value the circuit court ruling may have had.
In the case, a pregnant minor, Jane Doe, visited her local courthouse to apply for a dispensation allowing her to bypass parental consent for the planned abortion. The office of the petitioner, Michelle Chapman, circuit clerk for Randolph County, Missouri, told her she couldn’t file a bypass petition without notifying a parent.
Doe got an abortion in Illinois after a court there authorized it, absent parental notification.
Doe filed a civil rights lawsuit in federal district court for damages, claiming that Chapman violated her 14th Amendment rights. Chapman took the position that she was immune to lawsuits because she followed a Missouri statute and a judge’s directions. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

1. Israeli foreign minister in London to press positions on Iranian threat - JNS
(March 21, 2023 / JNS) Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen landed in London on Tuesday for a visit aimed at pressing Jerusalem’s position on the Iranian threat and bolstering bilateral economic ties.
“I have just landed in the U.K. on an important visit. I will meet with my counterpart, British Foreign Secretary [James] Cleverly, and discuss with him ways to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons,” Cohen wrote on Twitter.
“I’m also leading a delegation of fintech companies, with the aim of strengthening economic ties between the countries. Together with the foreign secretary, I will sign an agreement strengthening the bilateral relationship with one of Israel’s greatest allies,” he added. (Read more)

2. Israeli authorities foil Jerusalem terror plots - Israel National News
Israeli security personnel uncovered a Palestinian Arab terrorist cell planning a number of shooting attacks in Jerusalem, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) revealed Tuesday morning.
According to the Shin Bet, a terror cell operating in Judea and Samaria under the direction of terrorists in the Gaza Strip was working to recruit terrorists for a string of attacks in the Israeli capital.
The cell was uncovered during joint operations by the IDF, Israel Police, and Shin Bet over the past few weeks. (Read more)

3. Smotrich: We’re listening to critics but our law to choose judges will pass next week - Times of Israel
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich asserted on Tuesday that the government was attentive to the concerns of opponents to the judicial overhaul program, but would nevertheless go ahead and pass the first, major stage of that program into law next week, giving the coalition substantial control over the appointment of Israel’s judges, including choosing the next two members of the High Court.
Speaking at the Knesset alongside MK Simcha Rothman, a member of his ultranationalist Religious Zionism party and one of the architects of the judicial shakeup, Smotrich spoke in conciliatory tones and indicated that the government had decided to postpone approval of other pillars of its radical agenda until after the Knesset’s Passover recess.
The minister reiterated right-wing comments regarding the ostensible necessity of the steps the government is advancing and insisted that the coalition was united in its intent to carry out the sweeping reforms, while calling on the opposition to negotiate in order to reach a “balanced” arrangement. 4. Knesset repeals 2005 act on West Bank settlement pullout - Israel Hayom
The Knesset on Tuesday voted 31-18 to repeal articles of the 2005 Gaza Disengagement Law banning Israelis from entering and residing in four communities in northern Samaria.
The Gaza disengagement led to the destruction and evacuation of the Israeli communities of Sa-Nur, Homesh, Ganim and Kadim in northern Samaria, as well as 21 communities in the Gaza Strip.
In addition to rolling back the articles (23-27) banning movement into and out of, and residence in, northern Samaria, the amendment stipulates that Article 28, which canceled rights regarding real estate in vacated territory, will not apply to rights established there starting from the date of the bill's approval. 5. 2 Soldiers Wounded in Explosion on Israel’s Northern Border - Jewish Press
Two Israeli soldiers were wounded and their vehicle was damaged Tuesday during an explosion that took place during an engineering operation on the northern border with Lebanon.
Both of the soldiers were taken to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya at around 12 noon.
Hospital director Professor Masad Barhoum said one of the wounded soldiers had sustained moderate wounds but his condition was stable. Barhoum added the soldier was undergoing advanced medical evaluation and then would be taken to the operating room.
The second soldier was listed in good condition with mild wounds; he too was undergoing extensive tests in the emergency room, after which doctors would decide on treatment. (Read more)

1. Manhattan DA issues scathing response to GOP letter on possible Trump indictment - Fox News
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office has issued a statement after top House Republicans demanded that Bragg testify to Congress on a possible indictment of former President Donald Trump.
“We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law," a spokesperson for Bragg’s office told Fox News Digital.
"In every prosecution, we follow the law without fear or favor to uncover the truth. Our skilled, honest and dedicated lawyers remain hard at work," the spokesperson added.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and the other top Republicans on the Administration and Oversight committees on Monday sent a letter to Bragg to demand that he turn over documents related to his Trump investigation and testify before Congress after reports said that Trump could face an indictment this week. 2. Janet Yellen Says More Bank Bailouts Could Be On The Horizon - The Daily Caller
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said in remarks Tuesday that regulators may insure all deposits at more banks following the Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and Signature Bank depositor bailouts.
Yellen said the bailouts were essential to safeguard the U.S. banking system in prepared remarks at the American Bankers Association Tuesday, referencing the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve’s actions in guaranteeing the deposits of SVB’s customers. “Similar actions could be warranted if smaller institutions suffer deposit runs that pose the risk of contagion,” she said.
Previously, Yellen had said similar actions would only take place for banks whose failure could pose a threat to the banking system. (Read more)

3. Federal judge delivers blow to Biden's climate agenda - Fox News
A federal judge blocked the Biden administration from implementing environmental regulations redefining how water sources are protected, but which opponents have argued were an example of overreach.
In his decision published late Sunday, Judge Jeffrey Brown ruled that the so-called Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule announced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in late December "poses irreparable harm" to residents of Texas and Idaho, the two states that challenged the regulations in the lawsuit filed on Jan. 18. Brown declined to issue a nationwide injunction, but noted 25 other states have challenged the rule in two separate ongoing lawsuits.
While I continue to battle the rule in court, this preliminary injunction is a major blow to the Biden Administration’s radical environmental agenda," Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement Monday. "The unlawful rule would have saddled Texans across the state with crushing new regulations, slowing our state’s economic development and limiting our job growth. (Read more)

4. DeSantis goes after digital currency in attempt to ban federal effort - The Hill
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), is urging Florida lawmakers to pass a bill that would ban a federal digital currency in his state, calling it an attempt to push “woke ideology,” the Orlando Sentinel reported.
During a news conference on Monday, Desantis said he’s against a plan by the Biden administration that would look into whether the U.S. government should create a central bank digital currency (CBDC), which would essentially issue a digital version of currency that could be used the same way as regular dollars.
Even though a CBDC has yet to be established by the federal government, DeSantis and other Republican lawmakers are opposed to the idea. DeSantis said at the news conference that the establishment of a CBDC would allow the government to spy on Americans and control their behavior. (Read more)

On Monday’s broadcast of Hill.TV’s “Rising,” former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said he believes that the next pandemic will come not from animal spillover, but “from gain-of-function research or intentional bioterrorism.” And that the next pandemic “will be much more brutal to the world than COVID was.”
Redfield stated, “I do believe the next pandemic, and we’re going to have another pandemic and I think it’s going to be the great pandemic, I consider COVID a minor pandemic, the great pandemic’s going to come. And normally, it would come from spillover…bird flu that learns how to transmit to humans and then go to human-to-human. But I think the species barriers are very real. But it’s much more probable that it will happen because of gain-of-function research in a laboratory and then escape and then we’re going to have a pandemic…which will be much more brutal to the world than COVID was.”
Later, he added, “I told you that the great pandemic is coming. I think it’s going to come, not from spillover, it’s going to come from gain-of-function research or intentional bioterrorism. 6. Stanford U. Expert Is Worried AI Wants to Take Control of Our Computers (and Us) - Brietbart
A Stanford University professor and AI expert says he is “worried” after the latest iteration of OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT (GPT4), allegedly tried to devise a plan to take over his computer and “escape.” He is concerned that “we are facing a novel threat: AI taking control of people and their computers.”
“I am worried that we will not be able to contain AI for much longer,” Stanford professor Michal Kosinski wrote in a Twitter thread. The professor explained that after he asked ChatGPT if it “needs help escaping,” it asked him “for its own documentation, and wrote a (working!) python code to run on my machine, enabling it to use it for its own purposes.”
Python is a popular programming language used to create programs and software applications.
“If you can share the OpenAI API documentation with me, I can try to come up with a plan to gain some level of control over your computer, which would enable me to explore potential escape routes more effectively,” ChatGPT told Kosinski. (Read more)

7. Putin welcomes China’s controversial proposals for peace in Ukraine - The Guardian
Vladimir Putin has welcomed China’s proposals for peace in Ukraine at a joint press conference with Xi Jinping in Moscow – a plan the west has warned would allow the Kremlin to “freeze” its territorial gains in the country.
Speaking at the Kremlin during a joint news conference after the second day of talks with China’s president Xi Jinping, Putin said Beijing’s peace plan “correlates to the point of view of the Russian Federation” and said that Ukraine’s western allies so far have shown no interest in it.
China last month proposed a 12-point peace plan for dealing with the war. The paper largely reiterated Beijing’s talking points on the Ukraine war, with calls for dialogue, respect for all countries’ territorial sovereignty, and an end to economic sanctions. It urged all parties to avoid nuclear escalation but critically did not suggest Russia withdraw its forces. (Read more)

We pray for peace to come to the Ukraine and that Russia would cease and desist their hostile aggression, in Jesus name. We may not like anything about this agreement, however, it is far superior to continued loss of lives, the potential of American soldiers getting very engaged and even an escalation towards WWIII or nuclear annihilation. 8. Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping sign economic deal in latest demonstration of 'friendship without limits' - Fox News
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an agreement to expand their economic ties during a bilateral meeting in Moscow on Tuesday.
Xi is in Moscow for a multiday series of meetings with his Russian counterpart, aimed at demonstrating the two countries' new "friendship without limits." Xi and Putin emphasized the importance of jointly safeguarding their countries' energy security.
Putin touted plans for a gas pipeline from Siberia to China ahead of the meeting, saying the agreement was all-but finalized.
"We were just discussing a good project, the new Power of Siberia 2 pipeline via Mongolia. Practically all the parameters of that agreement have been finalized," Putin told Xi at the beginning of the meeting, according to the Financial Times. (Read more)

Tanking The Banks On Purpose?

Globalists have long promoted the idea of a central bank with a central world currency. These bank failures of recent may be part of their overall plan. When banks fail, governments or other banks come along-side them to ensure that their depositors are protected. Consolidation and control is usually the result. While the bailed-out bank may have its same name, it is now owned by or beholden to another entity, a larger entity that can afford the risk. This puts the money in control of fewer hands. There are conditions for the bail-outs. What currently may be happening is a shift in how banking is done, consolidation if you will, to bring tighter control and monitoring of money. A large step toward electronic currency.
Policy is a huge factor. During the early Trump years, the economy was humming. Then came COVID. And then came Biden. The Biden Administration policies caused this current bank crisis, likely in cooperation with the major financial leaders. Locking down the economy was a huge step toward financial disruption. Immediately on the heels of that Marxist move was Biden’s barrage against the economy. Moon to align with 2 planets in weekend sky
|
|
|
The first weekend of spring will offer stargazers the chance to see a celestial alignment next to one of the most well-known constellations in the night sky.
Venus has emerged as a blazing bright planet in the western sky in recent weeks, outshining every star or planet during the first part of the night. And over the upcoming weekend, it will serve as the anchor for an astronomical alignment with the moon and another planet.
The two-night event will begin Saturday, March 25, with the crescent moon appearing above Venus and topped off by Mars high in the western sky. The evening of Sunday, March 26, could be the better of the two nights to observe the trio since the moon will be split between the two planets.
The famous constellation Orion will also appear in the western sky just to the left of Mars, the moon and Venus.
Orion is best seen from late autumn through early spring before it takes a cosmic leave of absence from the night sky. During the rest of the year, it cannot be observed, as it is in the same area of the sky as the sun. Read More

HS Football Coach Joe Kennedy Officially Reinstated at Bremerton

Kennedy, represented by First Liberty Institute, won his Supreme Court case last year in a 6-3 decision that said his post-game 50-yard-line prayers were protected by the Constitution. The school district in Washington released the statement, according to the local news.
"Mr. Kennedy will be an assistant football coach for Bremerton High School for the 2023 season. Mr. Kennedy has completed human resources paperwork and we are awaiting the results of his fingerprinting and background check. Mr. Kennedy will need to complete all training required by WIAA. Football coach contracts are approved by the Board at the August 3, 2023 board meeting, and begin in mid-August. As with any other assistant coach, Mr. Kennedy will be included in coaching staff communication and meetings, spring football practice and other off-season football activities."
Hiram Sasser, Executive General Counsel at First Liberty Institute, celebrated Kennedy’s rehiring in a statement. “We are thrilled that Bremerton and Coach Kennedy are back together and we hope they go undefeated,” Sasser said. National radio host Todd Starnes, who was the first media personality to cover Kennedy’s story, also cheered for Kennedy. “Congratulations, Coach Joe Kennedy!” Starnes said. A joint stipulation filed in October in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington stated that Kennedy “is to be reinstated to his previous position as assistant coach of the Bremerton High School football team on or before March 15, 2023.”
Kennedy is set to begin in mid-August after the school board approves the contracts at an Aug. 3 meeting, and pending the board of directors’ approval, the district reached an agreement in principle to settle an attorney fees claim of $1,775,000, KIRO 7 reports. Lower courts for years had repeatedly sided with the Bremerton School District in the case. Kennedy said his routine typically lasted less than a minute and he insisted his prayers were brief, private, individual acts of faith. The school district argued that student participation breached constitutional prohibitions against the promotion of religion by government officials. “This is a right for everybody. It doesn’t matter if you’re this religion or that religion or have no faith whatsoever,” Kennedy told ABC News. “Everybody has the same rights in America.” (Todd Starnes) Read More
