‘God Is in This’:
Chris Tomlin Reveals Powerful Providence Behind New Movie ‘The Last Supper’
|
|
“No one’s heard it.” It’s easy to chalk things up to coincidence, to believe in happy accidents and happenstance. Chris Tomlin could have very easily credited chance — random serendipity — for his timely connection to an upcoming Christian movie. But he doesn’t; instead, he sees it as divine, predestined providence. The famed recording artist and worship leader is stepping into a new role: executive producer. Tomlin, 52, is seated in the producer’s chair for the new movie, “The Last Supper,” set to debut in theaters nationwide March 14. The film, from Pinnacle Peak Pictures, the distribution studio launched nearly 20 years ago by David A.R. White of Pure Flix fame, centers on the days leading up to wayward disciple Judas’ betrayal of Jesus as the Savior’s closest followers gather for a final meal before His impending crucifixion.
When he was first approached by the creators of “The Last Supper,” Tomlin said they asked if he had a song — or could write one — that would work for the film. “I played a couple songs [and I said], ‘I’ve got this one I just wrote and no one’s heard it — literally, no one’s heard it,'” he recalled of his conversation with the filmmakers. “[I] played it for them and I had not seen the movie when I wrote this song and it just went perfectly with this movie. And I was like, ‘OK, this feels like something that’s right.'” Finding the song tied to a theatrically released movie was certainly not on Tomlin’s radar when he wrote “No Greater Love” alongside Tyler Hubbard of the country music duo Florida Georgia Line during a writing retreat at 20th century novelist Ernest Hemingway’s home in Ketchum, Idaho. Hubbard and a couple other country songwriters told Tomlin they wanted to write a worship song with the “Holy Forever” singer, explaining they wanted the theme to focus on John 15:13, which reads, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (NLT). - Father, we celebrate "The Last Supper" movie which brings opportunity to bless audiences across theaters during Easter. We lift praise for testimony from Chris Tomlin regarding his song, written in God's perfect timing, to be used for this film. May there be an 'unveiling' of truth upon movie-goers, bringing GLORY to our Heavenly Father as souls surrender to Christ. We declare in Jesus Name that powerful revelation will fall upon the audience through watching this film, and the lost will be brought into the holy Kingdom of God! By the blood of Yeshua- Amen.

Trump Warns of ‘Transition Period’ for Economy as Tariffs Begin to Take Effect
|
|
The president said his tariff strategy is focused on the future, not on short-term fluctuations in the stock market.
|
|
WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump said on March 9 that his tariff plan would likely impact the economy, describing it as a “transition period” that would ultimately benefit the country.
“There is a period of transition because what we’re doing is very big. We’re bringing wealth back to America,” Trump said in an interview with Maria Bartiromo, host of Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
When asked about business leaders voicing concerns about the uncertainty and market volatility his tariff announcements have caused, Trump said that his focus remains on the future.
“Look, what I have to do is build a strong country. You can’t really watch the stock market,” he said. “If you look at China, they have a 100-year perspective. We have a quarter. We go by quarters. And you can’t go by that. You have to do what’s right. What we’re doing is we’re building a tremendous foundation for the future.”
Trump predicted that tariffs might increase but assured business owners there is “plenty of clarity.”
“Look, our country has been ripped off for many decades—for many, many decades, and we’re not going to be ripped off anymore,” he said. (Read more here)

- Lord, we thank you that our president is focused on the future and rebuilding wealth in America. We ask that you would give him wisdom when dealing with all American businesses, foreign business deals, and these tariffs. Lord, help him make the best decisions possible for our country. And we thank you, Lord, for the body of Christ in our nation. We thank You that you’ve promised us in Deuteronomy 28 that if we obey your voice and follow you that your blessings would overtake us. So we cover all of the finances of the body of Christ right now, knowing that no matter what happens in our economy, we will be blessed because we obey you. In Jesus' name, amen.

New study reveals 'staggering' scope of how much DEI was infused into government under Biden
|
|
A study published this week details the degree to which the Biden administration infused DEI policies into the federal government in a report the authors say can serve as a resource for the Trump administration to continue to identify and "destroy" the practice.
The new study, conducted by the Functional Government Initiative and the Center for Renewing America, identified 460 programs across 24 government agencies in the Biden administration that diverted resources to DEI initiatives.
At least $1 trillion of taxpayer money was infused with DEI principles, the study states.
The study lays out DEI infusion across several federal agencies, including the Defense Department's plan to "integrate environmental/economic justice tools" into training, FEMA’s need to "instill equity as a foundation of emergency management," and the Labor Department's push to "embed equity in a sustainable manner that recognizes the multiple and overlapping identities held by workers."
On his first day in office, President Joe Biden signed Executive Order 13985, which was aimed at carrying out the stated goal of "advancing equity and racial justice through the federal government."
The report outlines how, over the next four years, the amount spent on DEI efforts was "staggering."
"The cumulative budget of these programs exceeds $1.1 trillion," the report says. "However, this figure does not encompass all DEI-related expenditures, nor does it include every program across these agencies. The findings reveal a substantial increase in DEI spending, largely attributable to policy directives under the Biden administration."
The report goes department by department and calculates the DEI programs and provides recommendations on how they should be addressed. (Fox News) Read more here.

Thank you, Lord for exposing this wickedness. We tear it down right now in the name of Jesus, that it cannot further infiltrate our country and our government. Taxpayer dollars should not be allowed to fund agendas that the American people do not agree with. We ask for accountability in this area, Lord God. We pray that all of our leaders all across this nation will spend our money wisely, ethically, and to truly serve the desires of the American people. In Jesus' name, amen.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." (Philippians 2:3)

Karoline Leavitt shuts down 'pitiful' Rubio-Musk feud rumors fueled by mainstream media
|
|
Leavitt accused mainstream outlets of trying to divide Trump from Elon Musk and members of his cabinet
|
|
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed "pitiful" rumors pushed by the media about Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Elon Musk feuding.
"Everybody is on board with President Trump's mission and DOGE's mission to identify this waste and fraud, to be good stewards of the American taxpayers' money, and both Elon and Marco are doing an incredible job in their respective roles, and that's true of everybody in President Trump's cabinet," Leavitt said Sunday on "Fox & Friends Weekend."
"He [Trump] has really put together an extraordinary team, and I think it's pitiful that the mainstream media is working overtime to try to divide President Trump from Elon and from other members of his cabinet, but their attempts are failing. Everybody is working as one team towards one goal, and it's to make America great again," she added.
Rumors swirled after reporting from The New York Times reported that on Thursday, DOGE lead Musk clashed with Rubio behind closed doors during a cabinet meeting because Rubio had allegedly not fired enough people in USAID.
According to The Times, Rubio fired back, insisting that the more than 1,500 State Department officials who took Trump's buyout offers should be considered layoffs.
Trump has dismissed reports of the spat and even smacked down NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez's question about the issue in the Oval Office on Friday, calling the reporter a "troublemaker" for bringing up the topic during an executive order signing to create the White House Task Force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Hezbollah will not tolerate any Israeli military presence in Southern Lebanon, the Iranian terrorist proxy’s Secretary-General Naim Qassem declared on Sunday.
In a televised interview with Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar television, Qassem accused the Jewish state of multiple ceasefire violations, warning that the Israel-Lebanon truce will not hold.
“I say to the Israelis—if you stay in these positions, how long do you think it will last? The resistance will not allow you to remain there,” he said. “If the occupation persists, the army, the people and the resistance will confront it. We have no ties to any agreement between the U.S. and Israel.” (Read more)

The discussion will center on a proposal put forward by Witkoff, and the special envoy is expected to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Witkoff told Fox News: “We need deadlines” for the next stage of the hostage release and ceasefire deal. Trump has had enough. This has to happen. The way these hostages are being held is unacceptable.” (Read more)

“The American president will decide how to do this,” he added, declining to expand further on the issue.

5. Qatar Demands IAEA Control of Israel’s Nuclear Facilities - Jewish Press
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying it was requesting the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to place all Israeli nuclear facilities under the inspection and regulation of the global nuclear authority.
During a session of the UN atomic agency on Saturday, Qatar’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and International Organizations in Vienna, Jassim Yacoub al-Hammadi, called on Israel to sign the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). 1. US FAA says 240 flights disrupted by explosion of Musk's SpaceX Starship - Reuters
WASHINGTON, March 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said on Friday that the previous day's explosion of a SpaceX Starship spacecraft disrupted about 240 flights, with space debris concerns requiring more than two dozen of those planes to divert.
It was the second straight explosion of a SpaceX test launch.
The FAA on Thursday issued ground stops that lasted for just over an hour for aircraft departing for four Florida airports -- Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Palm Beach. The FAA said the incident resulted in 171 departure delays, 28 flights were diverted, and 40 airborne flights were held an average of 22 minutes while the agency's Debris Response Area was active. The 171 planes had an average delay of 28 minutes. (Read more)

2. House GOP seeks spending cuts, defense increases in plan to avert shutdown - The Hill
House Republicans on Saturday unveiled a six-month stopgap government funding plan, which seeks cuts to nondefense programs while boosting funding for defense.
The bill’s rollout kicks off a crucial stretch for GOP leadership to lock down support ahead of Friday’s shutdown deadline with a Trump-backed strategy that has drawn the ire of Democrats.
The plan seeks to keep the government funded through September. While it is considered a continuing resolution (CR), Republicans say funding levels in the 99-page bill are below those previously set as part of a bipartisan funding deal last year, as leadership has faced growing pressure from its right flank to drive a harder line on curbing government spending. China has warned the US it is ready to fight "any type" of war after hitting back against President Donald Trump's mounting trade tariffs.

5. As Trump pivots to Russia, allies weigh sharing less intel with U.S. - NBC News
Some U.S. allies are considering scaling back the intelligence they share with Washington in response to the Trump administration’s conciliatory approach to Russia, five sources with direct knowledge of the discussions told NBC News.
The allies are weighing the move because of concerns about safeguarding foreign assets whose identities could inadvertently be revealed, said the sources, who included two foreign officials.
Every intelligence agency treats its commitments to foreign agents as sacrosanct, pledging to keep agents safe and shield their identities. Anything that jeopardized that obligation would violate that trust, former officials said, and that could lead some spy services to hold back on some information sharing with Washington.
The allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia and members of the so-called Five Eyes spy alliance of English-speaking democracies, are examining how to possibly revise current protocols for sharing intelligence to take the Trump administration’s warming relations with Russia into account, the sources said.
“Those discussions are already happening,” said a source with direct knowledge of the discussions. (Read more)

6. 90,000 Muslims ascend Temple Mount for Ramadan prayers - JNS.org
Approximately 90,000 Muslims, including thousands from Judea and Samaria, ascended the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City for the first mass prayers of Ramadan on Friday morning, according to the Jordanian-appointed Waqf trust, which administers the Islamic edifices on the holy site.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced on Thursday night that government ministers “approved the recommendation of the security establishment for the entry of a limited number of Muslim worshippers from Judea and Samaria to the Temple Mount on the Fridays during Ramadan, in a similar format to that which existed last year.”
Last week, the Israel Police recommended that 10,000 Muslims at a time from Judea and Samaria be allowed to pray at the Temple Mount—Judaism’s holiest site—which is also home to the Al-Aqsa mosque.
According to the framework approved by the government, Palestinian men aged 55 and over, women aged 50 and over and children up to the age of 12 will be able to enter the Israeli capital “subject to receiving a permit and an advance security assessment, the Prime Minister’s Office said on Thursday. Where the Spirit of the LORD Dwells
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, March 10, 2025
|
|
In 1 Peter 2:9, the Apostle Peter states that “you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that you show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” In Exodus, the LORD instructed Moses how to build the LORD’s dwelling place, the Tabernacle, what was to be in it, even down to what the priests were to wear. For followers of Christ, our physical bodies are the LORD’s dwelling place. And like the Tabernacle, the life within our body has incredible spiritual significance. Exodus 27:20-30:19 informs us about the living breathing life of the Tabernacle. It is symbolic of what must inhabit our hearts and minds as a royal priesthood in Christ.
The LORD told Moses to have the people bring pure olive oil for the Menorah. Exodus 27:21 says that Aaron and his sons were to keep the light of the Menorah burning, “from evening to morning before ADONAI (27:21).” The light was symbolic of the Presence of God in the midst of His people. In Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus said, “You are a light for the world…when people light a lamp, they don’t cover it with a bowl but put it on a lamp stand, so that it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.” The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit that burns within us, helping us in our service to the LORD, as we bring His Presence with us. Then, in Exodus 28:2, God instructed Moses to make the priestly garments for Aaron. (Read more and view picture by going here.)

Secret Service shoots man in overnight 'armed confrontation' near White House

The shooting took place after police were notified about a suicidal man in the area
|
|
The Secret Service shot a man during an armed confrontation near the White House Sunday, the agency announced.
The incident unfolded just after midnight, about a block west of the White House near the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
Police sources identified the suspect as 27-year-old Andrew Dawson, of Indiana. Agents said he was armed with a firearm and a knife when he was confronted by agents investigating an earlier alert.
Indiana police had notified D.C. authorities that Dawson was driving to the Washington, D.C. area and was "suicidal." Intelligence bulletins also indicated that the suspect wanted to commit "suicide by cop."
Members of the Secret Service encountered the man’s parked car near 17th and F Streets, NW, and saw a person matching his description nearby.
They told him to drop the weapons, but he did not comply. That's when the Secret Service says Dawson "reached toward his waist," so they opened fire, Fox News learned.(Fox News) Read more here.

'Fast-moving' wildfire erupts in wealthy Hamptons enclave
|
|
Several wildfires have set the Hamptons ablaze as residents are forced to evacuate the area.
|
|
Flames erupted along Sunrise Highway near Long Island's Riverhead and East Hampton on Saturday afternoon, according to the Eastport Fire Department. The surrounding skies are filled with smoke and multiple fire departments have responded to the scene.
Sunrise Highway has been shut down in both directions, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Pictures from the dramatic scene show drivers fleeing the fire stuck along the road.
'Please stay clear of the areas,' Southampton police Det. Sgt. Gina Laferrera wrote in an email to Newsday. 'Additional road closures may occur due to the ever changing situation.'
Massive emergency response efforts are underway as experts say Saturday's weather conditions may have contributed to the fire's severity.
'The main reason for the risk is just because we have some pretty strong winds coming in from the northwest, gusting up to 35 miles per hour. Whenever you tie that in with low humidity it can lead to an elevated risk for fire spread,' weather service meteorologist Bryan Ramsey told Newsday.
'We’ll have a minimum humidity around 30 percent... So, we urge people to use extreme caution with potential ignition sources.' (The Daily Mail) Read more and view photos by

Thank you, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, in Your Mighty Name, Abba, amen an amen!
