"Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.

For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

Ukraine's Chernobyl nuclear power plant disconnected from power grid, sparking fear of radiation leaks
Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister demanding Russians agree to cease-fire to restore Chernobyl plant's power supply

Tulsi Gabbard recalls visiting the site of Chernobyl

Former Democratic presidential candidate recalls visiting the site of Chernobyl to see the aftermath of nuclear disaster and how the alleged Russian shelling of a larger nuclear site in Ukraine 'chills' her to 'the core' on 'Hannity.' (To read more about her visit, go here.)

The Chernobyl plant in Ukraine is disconnected from the grid due to damage inflicted by Russian occupying forces, sparking concerns of radioactive contamination if the cooling of spent nuclear fuel stops.

The 750 kV Chernobyl-Kyiv high-voltage line is currently disconnected "due to damage by the occupiers," Energoatom, or the state-run National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine, said Wednesday. The Chernobyl station and all nuclear facilities of the Exclusion Zone are without electricity.

The regulator explained that there are about 20,000 spent fuel assemblies stored at the facility that require constant cooling. Without electricity to cool the pumps, the temperature in the holding pools will increase, prompting the release of radioactive substances into the environment.
"The only electrical grid supplying the Chornobyl NPP and all its nuclear facilities occupied by Russian army is damaged," Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba tweeted Wednesday.  "CNPP lost all electric supply. I call on the international community to urgently demand Russia to cease fire and allow repair units to restore power supply."

"Reserve diesel generators have a 48-hour capacity to power the Chornobyl NPP," he added. "After that, cooling systems of the storage facility for spent nuclear fuel will stop, making radiation leaks imminent. Putin’s barbaric war puts entire Europe in danger. He must stop it immediately!" (Fox News) Read more

- Father God, we ask that You would intervene to resolve this very dangerous situation. Lord God, cause the heart of Vladimir Putin to be turned to stop this danger by allowing the cease-fire to take place, as Zelensky has asked. We thank You, O Lord, that the heart of the king is in Your hand, amen and amen!

Like the rivers of water;
He turns it wherever He wishes."

Ukrainian emergency employees and volunteers carry an injured pregnant woman from the damaged by shelling maternity hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine, Wednesday, March 9, 2022
Putin sinks to new low: Maternity hospital is bombed, with children buried under rubble
Putin sinks to new low: Maternity hospital is bombed, with children buried under rubble - Daily Mail

A maternity hospital in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol has been decimated in a 'direct hit' by Russian rockets leaving children buried in the rubble, President Zelensky has said, in what he described as an 'atrocity.'

Zelensky posted a video showing the badly damaged hospital buildings, filmed inside a destroyed ward room with its windows blown out and ceiling partially collapsed. More footage showed a car park covered in rubble and the smouldering wrecks of vehicles as injured families evacuated into the freezing air while snow fell.

Direct strike of Russian troops at the maternity hospital. People, children are under the wreckage. Atrocity! How much longer will the world be an accomplice ignoring terror? Close the sky right now! Stop the killings! You have power but you seem to be losing humanity,' he tweeted. (Read more)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. In Israel, Mike Pence says future GOP administration will rip up any new Iran deal - Times of Israel

Visiting Israel, former US vice president Mike Pence — touted as a potential future presidential contender — said Tuesday that a Republican-led America will once again pull out of any future Iran nuclear deal.

“I believe that the Republican Party will win control of the House and Senate in 2022 and I believe we’ll win back America and the White House in 2024,” Pence said in comments to the Israel Hayom newspaper.

“Anyone at the negotiating table should understand that come 2025, I believe we will have a Republican president, a Republican administration,” he continued. “And if the JCPOA [Iran deal] finds a way to be resurrected, we will be a part and a voice of a chorus of Americans with that new administration coming into office to end the JCPOA just as quickly as we ended it under the Trump-Pence administration.” (Read more)

2. IDF adapts its capabilities to deal with ‘pandemic of Iranian UAVs’ - JNS

(March 8, 2022 / JNS) The Israel Defense Forces is dealing with a growing “epidemic” of Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles, senior Israeli military officials cautioned on Monday.

The message came a day after the IDF revealed that in March 2021, Israeli Air Force F-35i fighter jets conducted their first interception of other aircraft, shooting down two Iranian-made UAVs as they approached Israeli airspace. Those UAVs were identified as Shahad 197-type Iranian systems, which have a flight range of some 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles) and a flight time of 20 hours.

One Iranian UAV was approaching Israeli airspace from the east and the other from the south. At least one of the UAVs had handguns on-board, representing an attempt to breach Israeli airspace and drop off firearms to Hamas in Gaza and likely to Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the West Bank, according to the officials.

“This incident joins the growing list of Iran’s UAV attacks against Israel,” the IDF said in a statement on Sunday. In February 2018, an Iranian UAV launched from Syria was downed by an IAF Apache helicopter in the Beit She’an Valley area, which carried explosive material for delivery to terrorist elements in the West Bank. 3. Israel will not tolerate insults while mediating, Ukraine backs off - World Israel News

Ukraine has backed off from condemning Israel after Jerusalem sent Kyiv some sharp messages on the subject, Channel 12 reported Tuesday.

“It does not make sense that we would try to help and you would attack us,” the network quoted both senior and junior Israeli officials as telling the Ukrainians.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgen Korniychuk had sharply criticized Jerusalem’s refusal to send defensive equipment such as helmets and ceramic vests.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba blasted Israeli airline El Al Monday for making “money soaked in Ukrainian blood.” (Read more)

4. Erdogan welcomes Herzog, calls visit 'turning point' in relations - Israel Hayom

Israeli President Isaac Herzog arrived in Turkey on Wednesday, becoming the first leader from Israel to visit in 14 years as the two countries move to turn a new page in their troubled relationship.

"Grateful to President @RTErdogan for this warm welcome at the Presidential Complex. I am a firm believer that all peoples, faiths, and states in our region can and should live in peace, and that partnerships will bring blessings for us all," Herzog said on Twitter, along with the two flags.

Herzog held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara before traveling to Istanbul for meetings with members of Turkey's Jewish community. Turkey and Israel once were close allies, but the relationship frayed under Erdogan, who is an outspoken critic of Israel's policies toward the Palestinians. Israel also has been angered by Erdogan's embrace of Hamas, the terrorist group that controls the Gaza Strip. (Read more)

5.  ‘Zionist enemy will pay’ for deaths of Iranians in Syria, says terror group - World Israel News

Days after an alleged Israeli airstrike on an Iranian military base in Syria, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that two of its operatives were killed in the incident and pledged to seek revenge.

“Guard colonels Ehsan Karbalaipour and Morteza Saidnejad were martyred — a crime committed by the Zionist regime during a rocket attack in the suburbs of Damascus, Syria, yesterday morning,” the IRGC said in a Tuesday statement on its website.

“There is no doubt that the Zionist enemy will pay a price for this crime,” the militant group added. (Read more)

1. Keystone XL developer says it's too late to restart pipeline project - Washington Examiner

The crunch at the gas pump exacerbated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine has led to calls in conservative circles to restart the controversial Keystone XL pipeline. But those calls may be nothing more than a pipe dream.

The cross-border, multibillion-dollar project fell victim to partisan politics in the early days of the Biden administration, when President Joe Biden, in one of his first acts, signed an executive order halting production of the pipeline stretching from the Canadian border through the Dakotas to refineries in the Gulf Coast.

Soaring gas prices raised hope the administration may revisit the decision to mothball the project. It gained even more traction on Monday when Alberta Premier Jason Kenney said the financial squeeze at pumps could be alleviated if the project was restarted. (Read more)

- Lord God, we just pray over the Biden administration they would take a close look at themselves and their policies and realize that it is the root cause of the gas prices soaring. Gas prices started to rise as the Biden administration took aim first and foremost at the Keystone pipeline. We pray Lord that they stop blaming others and consider their own actions if they truly care about the American people and our resources.

Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.” (Ephesians 4:25)

2. Hidden Video Reportedly Captures NYT Reporter Calling Coverage About Jan 6 ‘Overblown,’ - Daily Caller

A national security correspondent for The New York Times said the media’s coverage of the Capitol Riot was “overblown” and that the events of Jan. 6, 2021 were “no big deal,” according to undercover video released Tuesday by Project Veritas.

NYT correspondent Matthew Rosenberg and his colleagues have described the reported presence of FBI plants among the rioters outside of the U.S. Capitol a year earlier as a “reimagining” of the “attack.” But in the Project Veritas video, which appears to have been recorded without his knowledge, Rosenberg paints a different picture and claims that “there were a ton of FBI informants amongst the people who attacked the capitol.”

The media’s overreaction to the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol, covering it as an organized insurrection, gave room for right-wing figures to downplay the day’s events completely, Rosenberg said. “They were making it too big a deal,” Rosenberg said of the political left. “They were making this some organized thing that it wasn’t.” (Read more)

- Lord God we do not know what is going on behind the scenes with the false tactics created around Jan 6th. But as new information keeps leaking out about the lies and the deception, we just ask that your justice would be done in this situation and that all the wrongs be made right and that Trump, those who voted for him, and the election integrity claims would be fully vindicated in the name of Jesus. Amen.

3. Biden signs order on cryptocurrency as its use explodes - AP News

President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed an executive order on government oversight of cryptocurrency that urges the Federal Reserve to explore whether the central bank should jump in and create its own digital currency.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the effort would “promote a fairer, more inclusive, and more efficient financial system” while countering illicit finance and preventing risks to financial stability and national security.

The Biden administration views the explosive popularity of cryptocurrency as an opportunity to examine the risks and benefits of digital assets, said a senior administration official who previewed the order Tuesday on the condition of anonymity, terms set by the White House.
Under the executive order, Biden also directed the Treasury Department and other federal agencies to study the impact of cryptocurrency on financial stability and national security. (Read more)

- Lord God, we know that we are approaching the end of all things. We know that a digital one world currency must happen as the leadership of the day plot and scheme and plan for their version of what the world should be like. So during this time we just hold fast to your truth. We go deeper in our relationship with you. And we just choose to trust you that you will lead us through these times giving us wisdom and strength in Jesus name amen.

- “Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed…” (Psalm 2)

4. Biden’s Iran Deal Gives Regime Access to $90 Billion, $7 Billion for Ransom, Sanctions Relief to Terrorists - Brietbart

Gabriel Noronha, writing in Tablet magazine, says the deal does not restore President Barack Obama’s old Iran deal, a weak agreement from which President Donald Trump withdrew, but goes much further in giving Iran money and sanctions relief.

He describes some of the concessions that Biden’s negotiator in Vienna, Rob Malley, has reportedly made:
The list of concessions that follows is long, detailed, disturbing, but also somewhat technical. But this much is clear to me: The deal being negotiated in Vienna is dangerous to U.S. national security, to the stability of the Middle East, and to the Iranian people who suffer most under that brutal regime. The lack of evidence to justify a removal of U.S. sanctions is illegal, and the deal that will be foisted upon the world without the support of Congress will be illegitimate. This deal will not serve U.S. interests in either the short or long term.

Iran is set to get access to a massive windfall of cash: My latest estimate (derived from figures declassified during my tenure at the State Department) is $90 billion in access to foreign exchange reserves, and then a further $50-$55 billion in extra revenue each year from higher oil and petrochemical exports, with no restrictions on how or where the money can be spent. (Read more)

- In the name of Jesus we come together corporately as the body of Christ who has power authority on this earth and we just cancel these plans right now in Jesus name. We bind all evil plots, schemes, and plans done behind the scenes being hidden from the public to completely go against the interests of not only Americans but also those in the Middle East and Israel. And we break the powers of the powers that be in Jesus name amen.

- “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18)

5. Smartmatic can pursue election-rigging claims against Fox News, Giuliani - Reuters

A New York state judge on Tuesday said Smartmatic can pursue its $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit claiming that Fox News Network, Rudolph Giuliani and others falsely accused the electronic voting systems maker of helping rig the 2020 U.S. presidential election to favor Democrat Joe Biden.

Justice David Cohen of New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan rejected bids by Rupert Murdoch's Fox Corp (FOXA.O), anchor Maria Bartiromo and former anchor Lou Dobbs to dismiss Smartmatic's claims against them.

Cohen also said Smartmatic can pursue some claims against Giuliani, who worked as a lawyer for former Republican President Donald Trump. He dismissed all claims against Fox host Jeanine Pirro and former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we know You love justice and hate bribes. We apply the blood of Jesus over all of these brave individuals who tried everything they could to bring attention to the severe irregularities of the 2020 election. Let corruption be exposed and justice be accomplished so the citizens of this country can be confident that their voice is accurately represented. And help us, as we prepare to vote in these midterm elections, discern the candidates that stand for You and your will.

6. Congress reaches deal on billions in Ukraine aid - The Hill

Congressional leaders have reached a deal to provide roughly $14 billion in Ukraine-related aid, which they expect to include in a massive government funding package.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced the deal, which will include humanitarian assistance and military aid in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Where we’ve ended up is at $14 billion,” McConnell said. An aide confirmed there was a deal but tagged the figure closer to $13.5 billion. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y) told reporters it would be “a little less than” $14 billion.
The spending is being dropped into a massive government funding package that congressional leaders are aiming to unveil on Tuesday.

The spending is higher than the $6.5 billion initially requested by the administration and the $10 billion in the White House's formal request to Congress. (Read more)

- Lord God, we just ask that your will would be done in this situation. We apply the blood of Jesus over this money that it makes it to Ukraine, and it actually goes to the people and hurting communities. We pray against all corruption and bribery that would try to entangle itself in this money in Jesus name.

- “Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”                   (1 John 3:18)

7. Biden blames oil companies and Putin, not his policies, for price hikes - Washington Examiner

President Joe Biden sent a clear message to U.S. oil and gas companies on Tuesday after banning the import of Russian oil, natural gas, and coal.
"Let me say this to the oil and gas companies and to the finance firms that back them: We understand that Putin's war against the people of Ukraine is causing prices to rise," the president said after announcing the ban at the White House. "But it's no excuse to exercise excessive price increases or padding profits or any kind of effort to exploit this situation or American consumers."

"Russia's aggression is costing us all, and this is no time for profit-carrying or price-gouging," he continued. "I want to be clear about what we will not tolerate, but I also want to acknowledge those firms and oil and gas industries that are pulling out of Russia and joining the other businesses that are leading by example.

"It's simply not true that my administration or policies are holding back domestic energy production. That's simply not true," he said. (Read more)

- Lord God, we lift the Biden administration up to you that they would seek you in all things. We ask that you would give them wisdom to make better decisions for our country concerning all areas but especially our oil reserves. Amen.

- “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
(Proverbs 2:6)

8. Florida Senate passes controversial sex ed bill, sending legislation to DeSantis - Washington Examiner

The Florida state Senate passed a controversial parental rights bill Tuesday that would ban classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation from kindergarten through third grade.
The legislation, having previously passed the state House last month, now heads to the desk of Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is expected to sign it.

The bill was passed in a 22-17 vote in the state Senate, a day after state Democrats and activists rallied at the Capitol in Tallahassee in opposition to the legislation, which they dubbed the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

The legislation generated substantial controversy in recent weeks as it made its way through the Florida Legislature, drawing condemnation from state and national Democrats. The bill was even mocked on Saturday Night Live. (Read more)

- We Praise the Lord for this victory and for the faithfulness of Christians in Florida. And while we are thankful, we ask for bolder legislation that will protect all children not just the very young from these dangerous ideologies. Help us, Lord, to continue to stand up for what is right even though we may be laughed at, insulted, or persecuted. Help us to stand up against this evil that tries to stop those seeking answers and questions about how you made them.

- “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.” (Matthew 5:11)

Stupidocrisy: We're For The Little Guy

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, March 9, 2022

How’s that Joe Biden election working out for you? Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Texas, and Michigan have all admitted to voter irregularities and illegal voting methods during the 2020 presidential election. Of course, nothing to see here and if someone brings it up, they are cancelled, censored, and ridiculed. Within hours of taking office, Biden issued an Executive Order rejoining the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, which essentially means taxpayers will pay to clean up the world’s air, mostly polluted by China. He then cancelled the Keystone pipeline and ended oil exploration and leases on federal lands, again turning the US into an oil dependent country. But he’s for the little guy.

When Biden took office the national average price of gasoline at the pump was $2.46. Within a month, prices shot up to $2.79. Now, according to GasBuddy, a fuel savings platform dedicated to saving North American drivers money on gas, “The national average price of gasoline in the U.S. today (February 8) broke the existing record, rewriting the all-time high to today’s $4.104 per gallon. The previous all-time high was set back in 2008 at $4.103 per gallon, just ahead of the U.S. Great Recession and housing crisis. The national average price of diesel is also nearing a new record, now at $4.63 per gallon, likely to break the record of $4.846 per gallon in the next two weeks.” But Biden’s for the little guy. Tower of David renewal seeks to reinstate ancient
citadel as Old City beacon
Jerusalem fortress, some of it 2,500-years-old, is completing a $40 million renovation, bringing city’s historic ‘lighthouse’ into 21st century

There are portions of Jerusalem’s ancient Tower of David Museum that date as far back as 2,500 years, with sections that were regularly renovated and constructed over the centuries, depending on the period and its ruler.

Now the formidable fortress is undergoing a $40 million renewal project, making the museum complex accessible for the first time in its history, along with a new entrance pavilion and a state-of-the-art permanent exhibition.

The entire project is slated to be completed by late 2022.

After years of entering the museum from the eastern side of the citadel, closer to an entrance of the Old City shuk, the entrance will be moved to the western side of the citadel, directly across from Jaffa Gate.

The Tower of David, located in the walled citadel, was known for thousands of years as the “lighthouse” of the city, guiding pilgrims approaching Jerusalem from the west, known as the first Jerusalem landmark on the horizon. Read More

Poland: Baptist church hosts hundreds of Ukraine refugees, “we have to help”
A Baptist Church in Chelm, Poland has removed its pews and pulpit and set up beds for hundreds of Ukrainian refugees fleeing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of their country next door, CBN News reports.

Polish Pastor Henryk Skrzypkowsurch and his congregation of Chelm Baptist Church have been housing more than 200 refugees a day since the invasion began on February 24.

The father of seven biological children and nine foster children, three of whom have Down syndrome, Skrzypkowsurch told Faith Wire that his church is one of around 100 Baptist churches in Poland, many of whom are serving as a port of first call for Ukrainian refugees.

“I think this moment is a historical and spiritual moment,” Skrzypkowski said. “These historical problems — it was in hearts, in souls of people for many, many years. People have a problem forgiving one another. But this moment is the moment when God created a new situation between our nations. It’s a new future. Now we have unity — spiritual unity.” Concerning the need for prayer, the pastor added: “So we pray for Ukrainians. We pray for unity.” (Read More)
- Father God, we thank You for this Baptist Church in Poland, and for their generosity in opening their doors, literally, to a people who are in great need. We ask that their kindness would be rewarded in days to come, in the way only You know how to do. Amen.

Words and Music: Rufus Cornelius

Scripture: When He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2

Lyrics:
As I journey thro’ the land,
Singing as I go,
Pointing souls to Calvary—
To the crimson flow,
Many arrows pierce my soul
From without, within;
But my Lord leads me on,
Thro’ Him I must win.

Refrain
O I want to see Him,
Look upon His face,
There to sing forever
Of His saving grace;
On the streets of glory
Let me lift my voice,
Cares all past, home at last,
Ever to rejoice.

Refrain

When in service for my Lord
Dark may be the night,
But I’ll cling more close to Him,
He will give me light;
Satan’s snares may vex my soul,
Turn my tho’ts aside;
But my Lord goes ahead,
Leads whate’er betide.

Refrain

When in valleys low I look
Tow’rd the mountain height,
And behold my Savior there,
Leading in the fight,
With a tender hand outstretched
Tow’rd the valley low,
Guiding me, I can see,
As I onward go.

Refrain

When before me billows rise
From the mighty deep,
Then my Lord directs my bark;
He doth safely keep,
And He leads me gently on
Thro’ this world below;
He’s a real friend to me,
O I love Him so.

Refrain
