Supreme Court Throws Out Louisiana’s Appeal, Making Way for New Congressional Map
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on June 26 that another congressional map may have to be redrawn amid claims that it inappropriately dilutes the influence of black voters in the state.
“The writ of certiorari before judgment is dismissed as improvidently granted. The stay heretofore entered by the Court on June 28, 2022, is vacated,” the court wrote (pdf), before it said that the case needs to be resolved before congressional elections in Louisiana in November 2024. “This will allow the matter to proceed before the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit for review in the ordinary course and in advance of the 2024 congressional elections in Louisiana.”
It isn’t clear if there were any dissents. The order was unsigned.
The justices had taken up the case last year but put it on hold pending their ruling in a similar case from Alabama, which they issued in a 5–4 ruling on June 8.

America's Breadbasket At Risk As Drought Conditions Rapidly Spread
Every time I write about this, conditions are even worse. If you look at the latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, you will see that almost all of America's heartland is now in some state of drought.
Much of Kansas is dealing with either "severe" or "exceptional" drought, and in previous articles I have written about how this will impact the winter wheat harvest. But now areas that grow most of our corn and most of our soy are also getting absolutely hammered by drought.
If this drought in America's breadbasket continues through the summer, we are going to have a very serious problem on our hands. At this point, farmers all over the middle of the country are praying for rain, because right now things are not looking good...
Below-average rainfall and high winds also exacerbated drought conditions in much of the High Plains region from top spring wheat producer North Dakota to the largest winter wheat state Kansas, the U.S. Drought Monitor report showed.
Concerns about the dry start to the U.S. summer crop season and potential harvest shortfalls have sent corn and soybean prices soaring to multi-month highs, although both crops can still rebound with timely rains.
The last time that I wrote about this, a little bit more than a third of all U.S. corn was being grown in areas affected by drought. Now, 64 percent of our corn and 57 percent of our soy is being grown in areas that are affected by drought...
Drought continues to be a major story for farmers this year, and new data shows drought conditions are deepening across the Midwest. According to the National Drought Mitigation Center, 64% of the corn crop and 57% of the soybean crop across the U.S. are now covered in drought. That's a sizable jump in just a week, which is reflected in the ongoing decline in crop conditions.

Report Decries ‘Merciless Targeting of Christians’ Around the World
ROME — The Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) noted in its annual report Thursday that Christian persecution has been “sharply on the rise” and “its terrible impacts have only begun to be felt.”
“The merciless targeting of Christians — driven by hatred of Christians and the faith itself — emerges as a common denominator in hundreds of testimonies of persecution,” ACN declares in the report.
Today, “almost 340 million Christians around the world — or 1 out of every 7 — live in a country where they suffer some form of persecution, such as arbitrary arrest, violence, a full range of human rights violations and even murder,” the report states.
In its global efforts, ACN “is committed to chronicling and assessing the evolving phenomenon of the persecution of Christians around the world today,” it declares. (Breitbart) Read more here

1. Ben-Gvir: 'The real terrorism is in Jenin, eradicate it' - Israel National News
Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, clarified in the discussion that took place with the Prime Minister his opinion regarding the illogicality of comparing terrorism with Israeli riots in Arab villages.
"You know perfectly well that I oppose the behavior towards the Brigadier General and we have seen that the entire right opposes it, but let's not tell ourselves stories. For a whole week I asked to call a discussion in the cabinet about four murdered people and there was no response until they shouted at the Brigadier General, which is wrong of course, and within a day we are here in an urgent discussion," Ben-Gvir pointed out.
He added, "I've been hearing for a week now from the heads of the security establishment about the "severe violence of the settlers" and that we must not surrender to them, but I ask where did that determination disappear when it comes to some of the Druze, what, when they suddenly shoot and attack is it allowed to surrender? And where did that determination disappear in the face of the anarchists who set fire to tires in front of the house of the Minister of Justice? Why are they waiting? For his house to be burned down? Why is there no urgent discussion on this matter with the head of the ISA and the Commissioner? Why does the ISA investigate Hilltop Youth who were involved in property crimes and issue administrative arrests to them, but for crime and murder in Arab society the ISA refuses to investigate and issue administrative arrests?" 2. In first, Israel seizes crypto accounts linked to Iran’s Quds Force, Hezbollah - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Tuesday revealed that Israel has seized digital wallets linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force and the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group, confiscating millions of dollars in cryptocurrency.
Speaking at a conference hosted by the ministry’s National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing (NBCTF), Gallant said the operation several days ago was the first of its kind against cryptocurrency assets linked to the IRGC and Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror group. Israel in the past has seized dozens of digital wallets linked to the Hamas terror group.
“A few days ago, an extensive and precedent-setting operation — to expose a route for financing terror with digital currencies — was wrapped up. This is the first incident of this magnitude, in which an infrastructure led by Hezbollah and the Iranian Quds Force that transferred millions of dollars to be used by terror elements was thwarted,” Gallant said. 3. Islamic Jihad growing in Judea and Samaria, thanks to Iranian funding: Israeli foreign minister - World Israel News
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group is strengthening its presence in Judea and Samaria and ramping up its efforts to recruit new operatives and launch deadly attacks against Jewish Israelis, thanks in large part due to generous funding from Iran.
According to a Jerusalem Post report, Iran views investing in the Islamic Jihad terror group as an effective strategy for weakening Israel, and the organization has now evolved into serving essentially as a proxy for the Islamic Republic.
“Islamic Jihad is using Iranian money to buy weapons and loyalty in” areas of Judea and Samaria which are formally controlled by the Palestinian Authority, a Palestinian security source told the Post. “The organization is paying high salaries to its members.”
“Iran is already here,” another Palestinian official in Ramallah told the Post. “The Iranians want their Palestinian agents to extend their control from the Gaza Strip to [Judea and Samaria].” (Read more)
4. Senators say Israel blocking transfer of US-owned Iron Dome batteries to Ukraine - Times of Israel
A pair of US senators said Friday that Israel was blocking Washington from transferring two US-owned Iron Dome batteries to Ukraine to boost Kyiv’s air defense against Russia.
“We can save more Ukrainian lives today if we transfer those batteries. However, due to serious concerns, the Government of Israel has blocked the United States from transferring these batteries,” Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen wrote in a letterto the leaders of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
While funded by the US, the Iron Dome was developed by Israel, and Jerusalem has a veto over whether the US can sell the missile defense system to other nations. (Read more)
5. FM Cohen Tells US Secy Blinken Israel will Continue to Fight Palestinian Authority Terror - Jewish Press
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday evening that Israel will continue to fight Palestinian Authority terrorism, noting that the recent escalation in attacks has its roots in Iranian meddling.
The two men discussed a range of other topics during their phone conversation as well, including the effort to expand the circle of peace in the region, Israel’s participation in the US visa waiver program and setting a new date to convene the Negev Forum, and expanding to include new countries in the forum.
According to a Foreign Ministry communique, Cohen “strongly condemned events in which citizens take the law into their own hands and said that the government will take all necessary measures,” to put a stop to it. He emphasized the importance of coordination between Israel and the US and increasing security cooperation with the Palestinian Authority to prevent further escalation in Judea and Samaria. 2. Biden Administration Releases Pro-Transgender Propaganda Piece with Rachel Levine - The Western Journal
To kick off the extension, the Department of Health and Human Services has released Episode 1 of the series “Summer of Pride” on YouTube.
The description reads: “All summer long HHS will be celebrating the ‘Summer of Pride’ as we work to ensure a healthier future for all people living in the United States, during Pride Month and beyond.”
The first episode of “Summer of Pride” focuses on “artist, musician, LGBTQI+ advocate Ryan Cassata, and Assistant Secretary for Health ADM Rachel Levine.” In the video, the YouTube description states, Cassata and Levine “talk about transgender health, and how important it is for both mental and physical health.” (Read more)

3. South Carolina Supreme Court hears challenge to state's six-week abortion ban - Just The News
The South Carolina Supreme Court heard arguments on Tuesday over the Palmetto state's second six-week abortion ban after it previously struck down comparable legislation in January.
State lawmakers endorsed the current six-week ban in May, providing exceptions for rape, incest, fatal fetal abnormalities, or threats to the woman's life or health up to twelve weeks.
The legislature was confident the revisions they made to the prior ban would help it to survive judicial scrutiny.
The court in January ruled 3-2 against the original ban's lawfulness under the state constitution, saying "[w]e hold that the decision to terminate a pregnancy rests upon the utmost personal and private considerations imaginable, and implicates a woman's right to privacy." (Read more)

4. Severe weather, ATC staffing issues cause thousands of flight disruptions nationwide - Just The News
Disruptions for air travelers continued Tuesday with more than 2,000 flights across the United States delayed or canceled after powerful storms ripped through the parts of the country, including in the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Northeast where many busy hubs are located.
Data from FlightAware showed that on Tuesday morning, 1,241 flights within, into or out of the US were delayed and another 828 were cancelled. Tuesday’s travel troubles are the fourth day in a row of delays and cancellations, which began on Saturday.
The head of United Airlines, in a strongly worded memo to staff, blamed Federal Aviation Administration air traffic controller staffing problems for “unprecedented challenges” this past weekend that impacted “over 150,000 customers on United alone. Other airlines and federal agencies are blaming "severe weather" as a major cause for the nationwide travel chaos. (Read more)

5. Fauci to join Georgetown University faculty - The Daily Caller
Former White House senior medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci will serve as a professor at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, the university’s school newspaper announced Monday. Fauci will begin his new role as a “Distinguished University Professor” on July 1 and will hold an appointment in the McCourt School of Public Policy, The Hoya announced.
Fauci announced his intention to step down from several governmental roles in December 2022, including as the White House medical advisor and as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), to “pursue the next chapter of [his] career.” He attended his final press conference on Nov. 22 and refused to answer Daily Caller White House correspondent Diana Glebova’s question about the origins of COVID-19. 6. NYC proposes new rules aimed at restricting use of coal-and-wood fire ovens - Just The News
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection is reportedly drafting a rule that would require restaurants with brick and wood-fired ovens installed before 2016 to cut their carbon emissions by up to 75%. If these regulations are implemented, they would impose tight restrictions on pizzerias across the city.
According to CNN, the new rules would potentially impact about 100 businesses citywide. New York City Mayor Eric Adams says the public still has time to weigh in on the new regulations, which, if approved, would go into effect later this summer. (Read more)

7. CDC issues alert after first local cases of malaria found in US since 2003 - Just The News
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a health advisory for malaria after cases were found in Florida and Texas within the past two months, marking the first time in two decades that people acquired the disease from mosquitoes in the United States.
Four cases have been identified in Florida and one in Texas over the past two months. Mosquito control measures are being implemented in the affected areas in both states, the CDC said Monday. The last malaria outbreak in the U.S. occurred in 2003 when eight people were infected in Palm Beach County, Florida. (Read more)

Monday, CNN aired a recording of former President Donald Trump talking about “highly confidential, secret” documents at his club in Bedminster, NJ.
Cooper said, “We begin tonight with breaking news. We have obtained what is expected to be a central piece of the government’s case against Donald Trump, the actual audio recording of the former president talking as if he’s showing a highly classified document on US war plans against Iran with people not cleared to even know it exists, let alone what’s in it. In a moment only on CNN you will hear what jurors will hear one day.”
He continued, “The recording was made two summers ago, July 2021 at the former president’s club in Bedminster, New Jersey. You will clearly hear the former president, as he is speaking to several people. According to the special council’s indictment, they include a writer working on Mark Meadows’ memoir, the publisher, and two of Trump’s staff members. The president was aware he was being recorded. WHO And CDC Must Be Held Accountable

As the data from studies regarding the COVID pandemic accumulates and is analyzed, more experts are joining the growing chorus of those who believe World Health Organization mandated protocols contributed to a massive number of needless deaths. This also would hold true for the US Centers for Disease Control, who rigidly followed the WHO protocols and actively censored anyone who disagreed. The CDC and WHO condemned doctors who experientially were treating COVID with alternative protocols and having great success, while at the same time hospitals across the world were experiencing extreme mortality treating COVID with the WHO and CDC mandated protocols.
As early as November 2021, The Daily Jot reported that a National Library of Medicine January 2021 report of 69 studies involving over 57,000 patients concluded that fatality rates were 45% among COVID 19 patients receiving invasive mechanical ventilation (ventilator treatment). The fatality rate increased to 84% in older patients. Legal Counsel for the Truth For Health Foundation Thomas Renz confirmed these statistics as updated by a study in Texas. He told a press conference that 84.8% of people mechanically ventilated for 96 hours died. According to the CMS, hospitals were incentivized to use ventilators on admitted patients at the rate of about $100,000 per patient. Read More
Supreme Court tosses Trump DC hotel records case
The Supreme Court will no longer hear a case on whether Democratic lawmakers should have been able to sue to obtain documents related to a Washington, D.C., hotel former President Trump owned during his presidency. Congressional members dismissed the lawsuit last month.
After the high court last month agreed to hear the Biden Justice Department’s appeal in the case, Democrats dismissed the dispute in a lower court. Both sides then wrote to the justices agreeing that the Supreme Court should toss it as moot.
In a brief, unsigned order Monday, the justices vacated the lower ruling and sent it back with instructions to dismiss the case. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented from the order, saying she would’ve instead used a different procedural mechanism to toss the case.
The hotel documents had largely fallen out of the dispute as the lawmakers obtained most of them through other means.
But the case was set to weigh how the minority party in Congress can scrutinize a presidential administration using a federal law known as the “Seven Member Rule.”
The Justice Department had asked the justices to declare that the Democrats could not sue in court to enforce the rule, which allows any seven members of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability or any five members of the Senate Homeland Security Committee to ask for information within their purview from executive agencies. This Will Give Them Total Control

The IMF’s former chief of Financial Studies, Eswar Prasad, has tipped the hand of the globalists seeking a cashless society. In a 2021 interview, Prasad — who supports CBDCs — gave a chilling look at how our government could use our own personal money against us.
“One should recognize that the CBDC creates new opportunity for monetary policy. If we all had CBDC accounts instead of cash, in principle it might be possible to implement negative interest rates simply by shrinking balances in CBDC accounts,” Prasad says.
“In other words,” says CATO Institute’s Norbert Michel, “central banks will take money out of people’s accounts to conduct monetary policy.”
Given Prasad’s pro-government control perspective, perhaps it is no surprise to learn that Prasad also previously served as the head of the IMF’s China division. As you may recall from my previous emails, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) already uses digital dollars and CBDCs to control people.
Natalie Smolenski, senior advisor at the Bitcoin Policy Institute and executive director of the Texas Bitcoin Foundation, explains it a different way. “The objective of imposing negative interest rates,” says Smolenski, is to “prevent recessions by stimulating near-tern consumer spending,” which is “achieved at the cost of accelerating the destruction of private wealth” (emphasis added).
Monetary scholars agree that CBDCs increase the level of government interference into YOUR finances, including dictating how much cash you are allowed to possess. The Bahamas, which already launched its CBDC, has instituted such cash limits on its own citizens.
“At its core, this brave new world of monetary policy equates to the government saying that your money isn’t really your money,” Michel says. Your property rights are subservient to the ‘public good’ and the supposed necessity of ‘managing the national economy.’ ... The truth is CBDCs are government’s attempt to protect its privileged position and exert more control over people’s money.”
Smolenski cautions, “A CBDC could be programmed to only be spendable at certain retailers or service providers, at certain times, by certain people. The government could maintain lists of ‘preferred providers’ to encourage spending with certain companies over others and ‘discouraged providers’ to punish spending with others.”

The Sistema Huautla in Oaxaca is the 10th deepest cave on Earth, and a explorers with a 2023 expedition to map the system have added over 700 feet to its length.
The deepest cave in the Western Hemisphere — the Sistema Huautla in Mexico — is even longer than originally thought, scientists and cavers have discovered.
Cave explorers expanded the map of Sistema Huautla, a cave system in the Sierra Mazateca mountains in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, by 728 feet (222 meters). High school valedictorian who gave faith-filled speech reveals motivation:
‘Jesus told me to write that'
Lydia Owens, a South Carolina public high school class president and valedictorian, stepped out in faith while addressing her classmates in her commencement speech — and her words of Christian belief quickly went viral. She said she "debated for a long time … how to approach talking about my faith in my speech." She told Fox News Digital, "I definitely always knew that I wanted to [speak about faith], because my faith is who I am. It's the center of my life, so I knew that I wanted to mention it, but I didn't know how to do that." It wasn't until a conversation Owens had with some friends that she decided to say what she did. "I was talking about how I was a little worried about how people would respond to me talking about my faith, but I told my friends that I really wanted to talk more about Jesus in my speech." Owens said that her friends responded, "Well, why wouldn't you?
Owens went home that night and "scratched my entire rough draft of what I thought I wanted to talk about in my speech." She also said, "And I just sat there and I prayed, and I was like, ‘Jesus, you just speak through me. Let this be exactly what you want to say, not what I want to say." She added, "And I truly believe that's what he did. I don't think those were my words — I didn't come up with that. Jesus told me to write that and I just followed what he told me to do. God promises that his grace is sufficient for us and his power is made perfect in our weakness."
