Harris’ anniversary video recaptured that dark sentiment, with her recounting the moment she heard the news, claiming it made her so angry that she had to vent to her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

We ask you to release your warrior angels, and using our prayers and decrees pull down the stronghold of the spirit of death that has been established over our country. Visit each and every medical professional who is involved in abortions, reveal to them how you see what they are doing, bring the fear of the Lord to bear on their hearts and their actions. We ask Father God, for you to avenge the thousands of infants who suffered violent deaths because they had no voice, because they had no one to defend them, those whose destiny was taken from them. US Officials React to Wagner Mutiny in Russia
|
|
Top U.S. officials on June 25 reacted to news out of Russia that the Wagner Group private military company had mounted a mutiny against the Russian state before withdrawing, saying it shows that Russian President Vladimir Putin is weaker within his own nation than many thought.
The conflict between Putin and Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin—formerly known as “Putin’s chef” because of the close personal relationship the two enjoyed—kicked off on June 23 after a long-running feud between Prigozhin and Russia’s Defense Ministry appeared to reach a boiling point.
Prigozhin had claimed that Russian military forces intentionally killed a “huge” number of Wagner group contractors as part of his justification for the assault.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that for the invasion to have gotten as far as it did, there must have been “accomplices” within the Russian military. "For any government to have stability, they have to control their military,” Turner said. “Obviously, in order [for Progozhin] to make it that distance, he has to have accomplices.
“Where was the Russian Air Force in preventing this?
“That’s going to be an issue that Putin is going to have to deal with both internationally and domestically. His government, as an authoritarian government, depends on its assertion of power and force in order to be able to continue to wield power. - Abba, we lift this attempted "mutiny" against President Putin by the chief of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, to you. Father, the information surrounding this attack and then retreat is hard to understand. Mr. Prigozhin's behavior and decisions are erratic and would seem to not make sense.
Lord, we thank you that you know exactly what is going on in these circumstances. We thank you that this aggression against Russia did not create great upheaval, that there was never any need for concern about who was or wasn't in control of Russia's nuclear weapons. Father God, we ask you to speak to hearts and minds releasing your peace, your shalom over all involved. We ask for Holy Spirit to guide and direct conversations and decisions, stripping this potentially volatile situation of the fear, anger and pride used by the enemy to create it. We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, the Lord our peace. AMEN

US Declassifies COVID-19 Origins Report

Lawmakers say it ‘lends credence’ to lab leak theory
|
|
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence finally released a government report on the origins of COVID-19 on Friday. The chairs of the House Intelligence and Coronavirus Pandemic committees say the report lends credence to the theory that the virus may have originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
Congress passed legislation earlier this year mandating the declassification of information related to potential connections between the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the origins of the pandemic.
The declassified report provides insight into the activities of the WIV before the pandemic and presents the Intelligence Community’s (IC) understanding of the origins of COVID-19. However, it does not definitively determine the source of the virus.
“All agencies continue to assess that both a natural and laboratory-associated origin remain plausible hypotheses to explain the first human infection,” the 10-page declassified report states (pdf).
The majority of agencies, including the NIC and four other Intelligence Community agencies, believe that the virus most likely resulted from natural exposure to an infected animal or a close progenitor.
However, the Department of Energy and the FBI hold the view that the virus originated in a laboratory, although they have different reasons for their assessment. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, there are many words in the Covid-19 Origins Report sent out by the Director of National Intelligence, but it would appear, very little substance. After all the time and money spent to create this document, then keeping it classified for so long, one would think that the information contained in such a guarded document would be something other than "no solid conclusions can be determined". Jesus, it just feels like we are not being told the whole story.
Father God, you know the true origin of Covid 19. We are asking you to bring your truth, shine your light on any information that is still being held in the darkness. We are asking you to do what only you can do, reveal all that we as a nation and as a world need to know about how this disease came to be. Lord, we need to understand how to protect ourselves from this ever happening again.
Father, we are also asking that if any of the people responsible for this report are not speaking what they know to be true, if they are protecting themselves out of fear of others knowing the truth, reveal each of them and allow your truth and justice to prevail. We ask this in the name El Roi, the God who sees. AMEN

1. Netanyahu set to visit China next month, in trip seen likely to annoy Biden - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit China next month, signaling growing impatience with Washington, as Beijing increasingly throws its weight around in the region, Israeli sources said Monday.
While there, the premier is slated to meet with President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders. Advanced contacts have been held in recent days between the two leaders’ offices to arrange the visit, the sources said.
No dates for the trip were given and no plans for a visit have been announced by Jerusalem or Beijing. The Prime Minister’s Office said it had “no comment at present” when contacted. The Chinese embassy in Tel Aviv did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu: PA cannot be allowed to collapse - JNS
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a Knesset panel recently that the Palestinian Authority “could not be allowed” to collapse, but that Palestinians’ desire for an independent state “must be cut off.”
The premier made the remarks in a closed-door meeting of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chaired by MK Yuli Edelstein of Netanyahu’s Likud party, according to Kan News.
He also said that Israel was making preparations for “the day after Abu Mazen,” in reference to octogenarian P.A. chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who is now in the eighteenth year of a four-year term as P.A. president. (Read more)

3. With shouts of 'murderer': Activists attack IDF commander during condolence visit - Israel National News
Right-wing activists on Monday evening verbally attacked the commander of the IDF’s Binyamin Brigade, Eliav Elbaz, who had arrived to pay a condolence visit at the home of Harel Masoud, who was murdered last week in the terrorist attack at the gas station in Eli.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said, "This is an unusual and unacceptable incident against a commander who works night and day for the safety of the residents."
Gil Masoud, Harel's father, said, "During the week, politicians from the right and the left arrived here and were welcomed, because we welcome everyone with love. Tonight, the commander arrived here without prior coordination, on a sensitive evening with all of Harel's friends in attendance. We will be very happy to meet him face to face." (Read more)

4. Web of biblical cities depicts King David as major ruler, says Israeli archaeologist - Times of Israel
A network of fortified cities around Jerusalem has been dated to the time of King David, more than 200 years earlier than previously thought, offering support to the theory that King David ruled over a complex and large kingdom. The proof, however, wasn’t freshly excavated from the earth, but rather came to light after an archaeologist spent years digging through old archaeological publications.
In a new academic paper, Prof. Yosef Garfinkel of the Institute of Archaeology at Hebrew University claims he has found evidence of urban settlement in organized cities dating to around 1,000 BCE, during the reign of King David.
His article, published Monday in the Jerusalem Journal of Archaeology, a peer-reviewed publication of Hebrew University, supports the theory that King David ruled over a well-developed kingdom, complete with roads connecting between cities. This runs counter to the belief of some scholars from the minimalist school of thought who have previously suggested that since there is scant evidence of cities during King David’s reign, his position as a ruler of a great kingdom as written in the Bible could be exaggerated. 5. Two rockets fired at Israel from West Bank for first time in 18 years - Jerusalem Post
Palestinians launched two rockets toward sovereign Israel from the Jenin area on Monday morning, the IDF reported. They landed inside Palestinian Authority territory without hitting any Israelis or Israeli locations. It was the first time a rocket was fired at Israel from the West Bank in 18 years.
One of the rockets fell five meters from the launch area, and the other landed 80 meters away, the IDF said. Although a review of the wreckage found that the rockets were full, no explosive materials were found in the wreckage.
This suggests that either the rockets were a publicity stunt or a test run that was not meant to explode. As of press time, it was unknown if those who carried out the launches had more rockets or explosive materials.
Broadly speaking, the rockets were found to be of a primitive design, the IDF said. (Read more)

1. Lindsey Graham Warns Biden Impeachment Will Be 'Dead on Arrival' - The Western Journal
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said that even if President Joe Biden has been a failure in the White House, that does not mean Republicans can pervert the impeachment process. Graham said that Democrats threw the concept of due process to the winds in the 2019 and 2021 impeachment efforts when they were trying to nail former President Donald Trump to the wall. He said having a House floor vote in articles of impeachment – as Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado sought to do – was the wrong way to go, according to The Hill. “What’s being done in the House to go straight to the floor with articles of impeachment — we criticized the Democrats for not giving Trump any due process. I think this is dead on arrival,” he said. Graham said it was “irresponsible” to jump to an impeachment vote without “some process in place” to lay a foundation. “It’s important that we follow the process, and if you believe that President Biden has done something this impeachable, take it through the committee, give him a chance to respond, and we’ll see what happens,” he said.
Boebert forced the House to take a floor vote on the articles of impeachment she brought against Biden by bringing what’s called a privileged motion to the floor. However, instead of moving directly ahead, the House voted 219-208 to send Boebert’s articles to the Homeland Security and Judiciary committees, according to Roll Call. Boebert had said in her articles of impeachment that Biden should be removed due to the border crisis he instigated and failed to resolve.
Boebert, whose aggressive actions brought consternation to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and other Republicans, said Thursday the compromise would allow the House to develop “a body of evidence at the committee level” for an eventual Senate trial, adding that she hoped it happens “this year and very soon. I came here to fix Congress, and my actions to call up my privileged resolution made way to begin an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden,” she said.
In a release on her website, Boebert made no apologies for her unconventional tactics to move impeachment to the forefront. The release said Boebert “is supportive of the impeachment proceedings going through the traditional, institutional process to highlight the importance of this constitutional check and balance on Joe Biden’s unconstitutional failure to enforce our immigration and border security laws. Congresswoman Boebert’s action jumpstarted impeachment proceedings against President Biden, and she will continue to use every procedural tool available to keep the issue of holding Joe Biden accountable at the forefront.” (Read more)

2. Bank Regulators Want New Powers to See What Many Say Should Have Been Obvious - The Epoch Times
In the wake of the failure of several regional banks, lawmakers are furiously at work drafting new bills to give regulatory authorities more control over banks. But some experts say that bank regulators already had all the power they needed, but failed to use it effectively. “Every time we have a crisis on our hands, the regulatory agencies come out and say, ‘We need additional powers,’” Jelena McWilliams, former FDIC chairman, told attendees at a Cato conference on bank regulation last week. “And then you ask them, what is it in your arsenal of powers that you don’t have or that you couldn’t use?”
Regulatory experts speaking at the conference disputed the current narrative that the failures of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Signature Bank, and First Republic Bank occurred because regulators lacked sufficient oversight power. Before handing out new powers to federal agencies, they said, Congress should examine why regulators missed basic problems at SVB that they should have spotted with the authority they had.
Meanwhile, the bills to give regulators even more control over banks keep coming.
“Over the last week, we’ve had multiple bills come out of the Senate. And one of those is co sponsored by Senators [Tim] Scott and [Sherrod] Brown on the Senate Banking Committee,” Norbert Michel, director of Cato’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives, said. “Another is by Senator [Elizabeth] Warren and JD Vance. And then today, Maxine Waters, House Financial Services ranking member, introduced not one, but 12 bills.” (Read more)

3. Special Counsel Jack Smith Requests Delay in Trump Classified Documents Trial - Epoch Times
Special Counsel Jack Smith has requested a delay in the classified documents trial involving former President Donald Trump, proposing a new trial start date of Dec. 11.
The request asks for the trial to be delayed by four months because there is classified information involved. To handle this information, Trump’s lawyers need to get security clearances, and that process takes time.
Interim security clearances are currently being processed and should be granted within 48 hours after Trump’s lawyers submit the required forms. However, obtaining the final clearance to access a few specific classified documents may take anywhere from 45 to 60 days.
On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon set the trial date for Aug. 14, which is about seven weeks away. Although defendants have the right to a prompt trial, there are situations where parties can ask for more time, as is the case here. (Read more)

4. New Wave of COVID-19 Infections Hits China - The Epoch Times
Mainland China is experiencing a resurgence in COVID-19 cases, with the number of people testing positive for the virus rising significantly since April. This follows a previous wave of infections and deaths that occurred last December to January.
A resident of the Pudong district of Shanghai told The Epoch Times on June 21 that his father recently developed “white lungs” from a COVID-19 infection and died. Others reported COVID-19-related illness, deaths, and reinfections among family members.
China’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued an update on COVID-19 infection numbers from May on June 11, noting 2,777 severe cases and 164 deaths. All of the cases were caused by Omicron mutant strains, with the top three being XBB.1.9, XBB.1.16, and XBB.1.5.
The Chinese communist regime has consistently concealed the true scale of the COVID-19 outbreak in China. It’s unclear how many people have been infected in the new outbreak. Zhong Nanshan, the communist regime’s top health advisor, last month predicted a peak in infections to occur late this month, with as many as 65 million people infected weekly. (Read more here)

5. More GOP Officials Report Receiving Suspicious Packages Following Similar Cases In Kansas, Tennessee - Daily Caller
Republican Montana officials became the latest recipients of suspicious packages reportedly containing a white, powdery substance following similar incidents earlier this month in two other states, the Montana Senate GOP stated Friday.
“At least two Montana legislators have received suspicious packages in the mail containing a white powder. At this time, both are fine and law enforcement is investigating and will be testing the substance,” the Montana Senate GOP tweeted. The white powdery substance was reportedly sent with an “anonymous, threatening” letter following a recent pattern of similar cases involving GOP officials in Tennessee and Kansas, CNN reported.
GOP officials in the Tennessee House received anonymous letters containing an unknown substance June 22. Tennessee House Republicans tweeted that the letters “contained obvious threats by a liberal activist specifically targeting us.” The letters have prompted an FBI investigation. (Read more)

6. Two House GOP Members Seek to Make History - And Kevin McCarthy Supports It - Western Journal
In an unprecedented action, two Republican members of the House want to formally expunge from the record the House’s two impeachment votes against former President Donald Trump – an action that has the support of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. The House voted to impeach Trump in 2019 amid claims he held aid to Ukraine hostage and in 2021 during the final days of his presidency after the Capitol insurrection. In both cases, the process ended with Trump’s acquittal after a Senate trial.
The resolutions to wipe the record clean were offered by Republican Reps. Elise Stefanik of New York and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, according to Reuters. This type of maneuvering to expunge records has never been seen in American history before.
Despite the historic nature of the move, it already has powerful support in the House.
“I think it is appropriate, just as I thought before, that you should expunge it because it never should have gone through,” McCarthy said Friday, according to The Hill.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise noted last week after Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California was censured by the House for his attacks on Trump and his role in the 2019 impeachment of the former president that overturning the impeachment had merit.
Greene’s resolution targets Trump’s 2019 impeachment and says Trump was wrongfully impeached, “as demonstrated by the information revealed in an unclassified FD-1023 FBI document.” (Read more)

7. Supreme Court Renews South Carolina's Case to Defund Planned Parenthood - CBN
The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday threw out the decision of the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals that had blocked South Carolina from stopping the taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.
The justices sent the case back to the lower court to reconsider it in light of their 7-2 ruling on June 8 in a related case from Indiana. Reuters reports that the ruling allowed an Indiana nursing home resident's family to sue over his care at a government-run facility under the Federal Nursing Home Reform Act.
At issue in Kerr v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, is whether pro-life states like South Carolina can direct Medicaid funds—which are intended to help low-income individuals obtain necessary medical assistance—away from abortion providers like Planned Parenthood.
"Pro-life states like South Carolina should be free to determine that Planned Parenthood and other entities that peddle abortion are not qualified to receive taxpayer funding through Medicaid. Congress did not unambiguously create a right for Medicaid recipients to drag states into federal court to challenge those decisions, so no such right exists," Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Chris Schandevel said in a statement after the high court's ruling.
"The Supreme Court's recent decision in Talevski makes that even clearer. And we're grateful the 4th Circuit will have another opportunity to hold that Congress did not intend to allow federal courts to second guess states' decisions about which providers are qualified to receive Medicaid funding," Schandevel said. 8. Record-breaking Texas heatwave enters third week as thousands lose power - The Guardian
New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas also face scorching temperatures as heat dome settles over US south-west.
A record-breaking heat wave is entering its third week in Texas, as temperatures reach triple digits in the broader US south and tens of thousands of people in affected states are without power and lack air conditioning.
More than 40 million people in the US are under a heat alert.
Texas cities have reached an unprecedented heat index – which combines temperature and humidity. Corpus Christi has hit 125F (51C), while Rio Grande Village notched 118F (47C) and Del Rio marked 115F (46C). States including New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri are also experiencing scorching heat, with the National Weather Service predicting the temperatures to rise further and last into the week of 4 July.
The heat follows a weekend of destructive storms that left hundreds of thousands of people without power. The heat dome, as it is known, has settled above Mexico and parts of the US south-west and is caused by hot ocean air that has become trapped in the atmosphere. (Read more)

Of Pride And Humility

As disciples of Christ, we all have responsibilities of leadership. It was Christ who told us in the Sermon on the Mount that we were salt and light. He said that salt was no good if it lost its savor and there can be no light if the lamp is hid under a basket. It was Peter who wrote that we were a royal priesthood. Paul exhorts us in Ephesians to put on the full armor of God, speak boldly as we ought to speak, and having done all, to stand. It was Peter and the apostles, who stood up against the prideful and hypocritical Sadducees filled with indignation, and proclaimed in Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” Throughout the scriptures, leaders in the faith faced challenges. As leaders in the faith, we will too.
Pride is often the double-edged sword for leaders of the faith. The position of leadership, no matter how big or small, can be a source of pride. Resisting pride through humility and an attitude of service is the mark of a good leader. Christ is our example. He led by serving others in humility and kindness. He also held people accountable. He was direct with his communication. He built consensus. He knew his purpose. But he also faced challenges, especially from the Pharisees and Sadducees who were part of the other edge of the pride sword. For various reasons, they opposed him. They saw Christ as a threat to their worldly authority and a challenge to their social status, intellect, and domain—all issues of pride. Read More

Maraya is the largest mirror-covered building in the world, and at certain times of day the structure seems to evaporate into the surrounding desert.
The building – whose name means “mirror” or “reflecting” in Arabic – is a 500-seat concert hall, community center, and event space that has hosted performances from artists like Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Enrique Iglesias and John Legend.
But it’s also a work of art in its own right.
Set against the dramatic desert landscape in AlUla, just 14 miles from the epic architectural site at Hegra, Maraya was a joint collaboration between Italian design firm Giò Forma Studio and Black Engineering.
“We truly believe that if a building cannot compete with the landscape, it should enhance it,” Florian Boje, Maraya’s architect, tells CNN about his initial pitch. Read More

Elon Musk has offered the new movie Sound of Freedom free promotion on Twitter. As CBN News has reported, the movie is based on the inspirational true story of Tim Ballard, a former U.S. government agent who quits his job in order to devote his life to rescuing children from global sex traffickers. The feature stars Jim Caviezel as federal agent Tim Ballard who has been working in the dark world of Child Crimes for 12 years, and is beginning to lose hope. But then he rescues a seven-year-old boy who was kidnapped, along with his sister, by brutal traffickers. When the boy asks Tim to find his sister, Tim discovers his life's mission: rescuing children from sex slavery, wherever they may be.
Since he acquired the social media platform last year, Musk has said "priority #1" is removing child sexual exploitation content from the platform. Following a tweet from Sound of Freedom movie distributor Angel Studios on May 18 featuring the movie's official trailer and announcing the film would be in theaters on July 4, Musk responded with a tweet of his own, according to the Media Research Center (MRC). "I recommend putting it on this platform for free for a brief period or just asking people to subscribe to support (we would not keep any funds)," Musk replied directly to the movie's tweet on June 13. Several Twitter users responded positively to Musk's idea, writing: "GREAT IDEA!" Miriam Delicado, the founder of the nonprofit The Great Gathering, commented: "Thank you for helping to protect the children @elonmusk by bringing attention to this important topic.
