Concerned Graduates of West Point Challenge Leadership of Military Academy
Three retired U.S. military officers—LTG Thomas McInerney, USAF; MG Paul Vallely, U.S. Army; and Colonel Andrew O’Meara Jr., U.S. Army—signed a letter authored by “Concerned Graduates of West Point and The Long Gray Line,” protesting against mandatory vaccinations, CRT classes, sanitary conditions, progressive political activism, and other “woke actions,” in the military academy.
“The Long Gray Line” refers to the continuum of graduates United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
“We wanted to challenge the leadership of the Academy and the Defense Dept on their WOKE actions, CRT, Diversity training and the other discrepancies in the Academy. We found it pervasive at the Naval and Air Force Academies so we knew it was directed from the highest levels of our Military Leadership,” Vallely told The Epoch Times.
The letter is titled “Declaration of Betrayal of West Point And the Long Gray Line." They believe that there is a rejection of the principles of the military academy which could endanger its original mission “to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.”
They sent the letter in the hopes that authorities take heed of their advice regarding the problems that they have spotted. (Epoch Tmes) Read more here.
- Thank You Father, that these cadets and retired military officers are taking a stand for our military's strength and security. We pray for this letter to be like fire in every corner of the administration and Department of Defense, resulting in effective change. We pray for upright leaders who will continue to push for an honorable resolution to these issues and Father, let there be a resounding victory for righteousness, in Jesus name.

Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Football Coach Who Prayed With His Players After Games
Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Football Coach Who Prayed With His Players After Games
The Supreme Court has ruled in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, the case of Coach Joe Kennedy of Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Wash., whom the school district fired in 2015 because he prayed with players at the 50-yard-line following football games.
By a 6-3 margin, the court ruled in favor of Kennedy.
“The Court holds that both the free exercise and free speech clauses protect Kennedy’s right to pray at midfield following high school football games,” reported Amy Howe on the SCOTUSblog live feed of the Supreme Court decisions on Monday.
First Liberty Institute, which represented Kennedy, issued a statement, which reads in part:
“This is a tremendous victory for Coach Kennedy and religious liberty for all Americans,” said Kelly Shackelford, President, CEO, and Chief Counsel for First Liberty. “Our Constitution protects the right of every American to engage in private religious expression, including praying in public, without fear of getting fired. We are grateful that the Supreme Court recognized what the Constitution and law have always said – Americans are free to live out their faith in public.”
Paul Clement, former U.S. Solicitor General and First Liberty network attorney who argued Kennedy’s case before the Justices, said, “After seven long years, Coach Kennedy can finally return to the place he belongs – coaching football and quietly praying by himself after the game. This is a great victory for Coach Kennedy and the First Amendment.”
- We shout Glory, HalleluJah! Thank You Jesus! On the heels of the victory for life, the nation has now received a powerful declaration of our Constitutionally protected freedom to be people of faith in public. We give You all the praise Father and ask You to continue protecting and defending the Supreme Court justices. May we rejoice and pull out our Bibles at work and school!
- "For God has not given a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL
1. Dissolution of the Knesset delayed - Israel National News
The passage of the bill to dissolve the Knesset has been delayed in light of the failure of the coalition and opposition to reach an agreement on the date of the elections which would be held following the dissolution. The dissolution is now tentatively set to be finalized on Wednesday.
Earlier, the Knesset committee began its session, but discussed other issues on its agenda instead of the bill to dissolve the Knesset. Committee chairman Nir Orbach delayed its convening to allow coalition and opposition representatives to continue talks between them, hoping to reach agreements on the dissolution.
The opposition continues to attempt to prevent the dissolution of the coalition to give Benjamin Netanyahu more time to form an alternative government that would forestall the need for new elections. (Read more)
2. ‘We Cannot Go Backwards’: Bennett Thanks Coalition Partners for Putting Aside ‘Differences’ During Tenure - Algemeiner
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Sunday praised his coalition partners and touted the relative calm along the Gaza border during what was likely his last weekly cabinet meeting in office, as the Knesset is expected to disband this week and pave the way for new elections in the fall.
“This was an excellent government, which depended on a complex coalition,” Bennett said. “And here in this room there is a group of people who knew how to put aside ideological differences, rise above and act for the State of Israel.”
“Mainly, we proved that it is possible to work vigorously and honestly — together — for the citizens of Israel,” he added. (Read more)
3. Israel's political crisis may further snag IDF purchase of advanced helicopters - YNET News
The apparent dissolution of the Knesset and consequent snap elections may further shelve the Israeli military's plan to purchase cutting-edge Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion helicopters, Ynet learned on Sunday.
In case Israel does end up heading for another round of elections, the acquisition of the helicopter, dubbed Super Yasur in Hebrew, will be withheld at the very least until a new government is sworn in early next year.
4. Israel eases access to abortion, canceling key decades-old mandatory formalities - Times of Israel
The Knesset Labor Welfare and Health Committee on Monday approved new regulations aimed at making it easier for women to get an abortion by removing some of the procedures required, opening up broader and simplified options for those seeking to end a pregnancy.
A key change to the decades-old regulations will see drug-induced early-term abortions made available at HMO clinics rather than only at hospitals, the Health Ministry said in a statement announcing the development.
Women seeking an abortion will no longer have to physically face a review committee that approves abortions. Nixing the committee altogether requires legislation, which is unlikely to pass, but the new regulations mean there will now be no need for applicants to appear in person before the panels. 5. Behind closed doors’ – Mossad, IDF intelligence clash over Iran deal - World Israel News
The Mossad intelligence agency and the Israeli army’s intelligence branch are at odds over whether or not Israel should support or oppose a return to the Iranian nuclear deal, which would see the Islamic Republic pledge to suspend its nuclear development program in exchange for relief from crippling sanctions.
According to a report in Yediot Ahronot, Defense Minister Benny Gantz and senior military intelligence officials favor an agreement.
The paper reported that while none of the men are particularly hopeful that the deal will mitigate the Iranian threat for the long term, they believe that the agreement could buy time, during which Israel can strengthen its defenses.
However, a Mossad source told Yediot that lifting sanctions would allow Iran access to funds and material that it could use to secretly ramp up its nuclear program, as well as better support and arm its regional proxies, like the Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah. (Read more)
Attorney General Merrick Garland vowed in a statement released on Friday that President Biden’s Department of Justice would use “every tool at our disposal” to fight for abortion.
In a 5-4 decision the Supreme Court ruled Friday that the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision is no longer the law of the land, as abortion is not protected by the U.S. Constitution. As a result, the decision will now rest with each individual state — federalism at work. Three of the five justices who overturned the landmark decision were appointed by former President Donald Trump: Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett.
However, Biden’s DOJ “strongly disagrees” with the Court’s decision, according to Garland.
“The Justice Department strongly disagrees with the Court’s decision. This decision deals a devastating blow to reproductive freedom in the United States. It will have an immediate and irreversible impact on the lives of people across the country,” Garland wrote, asserting that it would most affect “people of color and those of limited financial means.”
- Lord, it is unprecedented that the DOJ and Biden are bashing the Supreme Court over their rulings. It’s also concerning that they may try something that would go around the ruling. We pray for a hedge of protection around not only the justices, but the ruling itself.
- “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.” (Psalm 34:7)
Far-left radicals are using a map of pro-life crisis pregnancy centers published by two professors at the University of Georgia to target those centers, dozens of which have already been vandalized, threatened or attacked since the draft of the Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade leaked to the media.
The "Crisis Pregnancy Center Map" publishes the exact street addresses of pro-life clinics around the country, allowing users to identify the closest clinics to them.
The stated purpose of the map is "to provide location information about all of the crisis pregnancy centers operating in the U.S." The website refers to such clinics as "fake women's health centers."
- Lord, we rebuke this plan by the left to harm those who work in pregnancy centers. We pray Your justice and judgment to be released in favor of those who have been working to save lives.
- “But they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”” (1 Peter 4:5)
The Pontifical Academy of Life said Friday that the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade “challenges the whole world.”
“The court's opinion shows how the issue of abortion continues to arouse heated debate. The fact that a large country with a long democratic tradition has changed its position on this issue also challenges the whole world,” the Vatican academy wrote in a statement on June 24.
“The protection and defense of human life is not an issue that can remain confined to the exercise of individual rights, but instead is a matter of broad social significance. After 50 years, it is important to reopen a non-ideological debate on the place that the protection of life has in a civil society to ask ourselves what kind of coexistence and society we want to build,” it said.
The academy's statement was the first official reaction to the court’s decision issued by an entity linked to the Roman Curia. Pope Francis has condemned abortion using strong language, referring to it as "murder" and on multiple occasions comparing the act of killing an unborn child to hiring a "hitman" to solve a problem.
- Lord, we thank You that this denomination has stood against abortion for decades. With Biden and Pelosi calling themselves Catholic and standing for abortion, we pray for a move of repentance by Your Holy Spirit.
- “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out.” (Acts 3:19)
Disney sent an email to its employees promising to cover travel costs for abortions following a Supreme Court case that ultimately overruled Roe v. Wade, according to a memo obtained by CNBC.
Disney’s Chief Human Resource Officer Paul Richardson and Vice President of Enterprise Benefits Pascale Thomas said that Disney employees would have access to “reproductive care” “no matter where they live,” per the memo obtained by CNBC.
“Our company remains committed to removing barriers and providing comprehensive access to quality and affordable care for all of our employees, cast members and their families, including family planning and reproductive care, no matter where they live,” the memo reads.
“In fact,” the memo continued. “We have processes in place so that an employee who may be unable to access care in one location has affordable coverage for receiving similar levels of care in another location. This travel benefit covers medical situations related to cancer treatments, transplants, rare disease treatment and family planning (including pregnancy-related decisions).”
- Lord, the attempts by corporations to circumvent the Supreme Court ruling are sad. We pray for a move of repentance across America, through every corporation, every person, and every institution. May Your perfect will be accomplished in the earth.
- “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (Matthew 6: 19)
The Department of Homeland Security on Saturday said that it will abide by a court ruling that struck down the Biden administration’s significantly narrowed priorities for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — saying agents will make decisions on a "case-by-case" basis as its appeal is heard.
"While the Department strongly disagrees with the Southern District of Texas’s court decision to vacate the Guidelines, DHS will abide by the court’s order as it continues to appeal it," DHS said in a statement.
The statement is in response to a ruling from Texas Judge Drew Tipton earlier this month that nullified the Biden administration’s memo that limits significantly which illegal immigrants the agency can arrest and deport. Tipton put a stay for seven days which is now expired, and the administration is appealing the ruling.
- Lord, we ask the DHS abide by every single part of the ruling by Judge Tipton. Let them not be allowed to go around it in any way. We pray that the ruling will stand on appeal.
- “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
The Biden administration approved a program Thursday from the state of Colorado that allows the state to use taxpayer dollars to fund healthcare for illegal immigrants.
The program was approved under Section 1332, a provision of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that allows states to create their own requirements for insurance markets. Both the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) approved Colorado’s waiver request, submitted in November 2021. The federal government will provide $1.6 billion in pass-through funding to the state of Colorado over a five-year period to facilitate its healthcare exchanges.
Colorado’s application makes clear that its new healthcare exchanges are intended to facilitate the sale of taxpayer-subsidized health insurance to illegal immigrants.
- Lord, these free giveaways by the Biden administration are costing the taxpayers $Billions and contributing to runaway inflation. We cry out to you, Lord, and pray for relief.
- “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” (Psalm 34:17)
President Joe Biden signed a gun control bill into law Saturday that gives financial grants to states for “red-flag” laws and increases background check stipulations for 18 to 21-year-olds, following Republican support.
The bill, dubbed the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,” passed after making it through Congress earlier this week with 15 Republicans in the Senate supporting the bill and 14 House Republicans voting in favor.
According to the White House, the law “enhances certain restrictions and penalties on firearms purchases; promotes evidence-based best practices for school safety; authorizes grants to expand access to mental health services; and appropriates emergency funding for mental health resources and school safety measures.”
- Lord, You are the only one who knows how much damage this bill will do to our rights. We pray for Your protection against unconstitutional actions by this administration.
- “Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24)
A retired Texas couple said FBI agents busted through the gate of their rural home, threw flashbangs, handcuffed them, and trained lasers on them before searching their home for evidence connected to the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol.
Lora DeWolfe and Darrel Kennemer, who live on seven acres near San Marcos, Texas, told The Epoch Times they attended the Jan. 6 rally at the Capitol but did nothing wrong. They believe the FBI mistakenly identified Kennemer as someone else.
The FBI didn’t arrest them, they said. Agents eventually produced a search warrant saying Kennemer was suspected of “assaulting, resisting or impeding” officers and “entering restricted building or grounds.”
Both said they went no further than the Capitol steps on Jan. 6 and did not harm anyone or damage anything. They said the allegation of assault was false, and the FBI kept showing Kennemer a blurry photo of a man who looked similar but wasn’t Kennemer.
- Lord, these political actions by the FBI are harming people, creating fear, and putting lies out for public consumption. We bind these actions in the Mighty Name of Jesus, and command them to cease and desist!
- “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
The FBI and local law enforcement raided two churches in Georgia with search warrants Thursday.
The law enforcement officers were spotted Thursday morning outside the House of Prayer Church in Hinesville armed with weapons, WSAV reported. Other officers, also armed, were reportedly seen with a group of people standing near a building there.
The House of Prayer Church has been accused of being a cult in recent years, with allegations of abuse and manipulation of its members, according to WSAV.
FBI agents also raided Assembly of Prayer Church in Hephzibah, a city in Richmond County, the same morning, according to WJBF. FBI Atlanta confirmed to the Daily Caller that it was “conducting a court authorized search warrant at both locations” but was not able to share anymore information at the time.
- Lord, it is unclear to us whether this church is actually a cult or not. WE ask for Your righteous intervention in this case. If they have been engaged in wrongdoing, we ask that You will lead them to Your Light. If not, then we pray for justice.
- “He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.” (Psalm 33:5)
Nearly two dozen people were shot at a gay bar in Oslo, Norway, early Saturday, leading officials to cancel the city’s annual Pride parade this weekend.
Reuters reported that the terrorist who allegedly committed the atrocity, which killed at least two people, was a “a 42-year-old Norwegian citizen of Iranian origin, was believed to be a radicalized Islamist.”
The victims who were shot were “inside and outside the London Pub, a longstanding hub of Oslo’s LGBTQ scene, as well as in the surrounding streets and at one other bar in the center of the Norwegian capital,” the report added. “The deceased were two men in their 50s and 60s.”
Prosecutor Christian Hatlo told reporters that the suspect was “known to the police” and had in the past been convicted of crimes. The Norwegian Police Security Service said that the suspect was on law enforcement’s radar due to concerns that he was part of an Islamic extremist network and that they had talked to him as recently as last month.
- Lord, we pray for the people who were harmed in this terror attack and ask Your Comfort and Presence for each of them.
- “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.” (Nahum 1:7)
The Daily Jot
Roe After Roe
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 27, 2022
The US Supreme Court overturned the previous Supreme Court decision of 1973 that the constitution conveyed through the right to privacy a right to abortion. In doing so, SCOTUS is establishing that unless a “right” is enumerated in the Constitution, it is left for the states or the people to decide. Abortion was never an enumerated right in the Constitution. In fact, if anything, the Constitution, its preamble and the Declaration of Independence all uphold life and the right to defend it. Today, there are millions of leftists, many who could care less about abortion, rioting in the streets, demanding that the ”right” to kill the unborn be reestablished. Can anyone see the absurdity in this?
They are violently demanding the “right” to kill a baby in the womb. These people are vandalizing pregnancy care centers, places where women can go to receive alternatives to abortion and obtain legitimate “reproductive health” care. In this, one can see the demands of these people in the name of “reproductive health” is hypocritical at best. It is amazing that in a country where laws are established to protect classes of people—minorities, sexual orientation, handicapped, etc.—that the law did not protect those least able to defend themselves: babies in the womb. In fact, a Supreme Court nearly 50 years ago conjured up a “right” that because of individual privacy an expectant mother could choose to kill her unborn child. How shameful. Read More
Is North Korea moving nukes to its border?
Is North Korea preparing to deploy tactical nuclear weapons along its tense border with rival South Korea, which is only a short drive from the 26 million people living in and around Seoul, its capital?
That’s how it looks to many experts paying close attention to a high-profile North Korean military meeting this week. The possible deployment, just two months after a veiled threat by leader Kim Jong Un to preemptively use nuclear weapons, would be a major development in the decades-long standoff on the Korean Peninsula.
North Korea already has thousands of conventional weapons aimed at South Korea and the nearly 30,000 U.S. forces stationed there, but moving its short-range nuclear missiles to the border would be the clearest sign yet that Kim is looking to use his nuclear weapons to both threaten South Korea and wrest concessions from outside nuclear negotiators.
Together with North Korea’s apparent preparations for its first nuclear test in five years, there’s deep skepticism among observers that diplomacy can convince the country to abandon its nukes. Critics are calling on Seoul and Washington to formulate a new approach to deal with North Korea’s fast improving nuclear program. (AP News) Read more.
Note: this article includes these topics:
- NUCLEAR WEAPONS ON THE BORDER?
- WILL SOUTH KOREA RESPOND BY DEPLOYING NUCLEAR WEAPONS?
- WHAT’S NEXT?
- Lord, we bind Kim Jong-un’s actions and ask that You prevent him from harming anyone on the Korean Peninsula and beyond . . .

Congressional Delegation in Madrid for NATO talks
Abortion, gun violence and inflation have eclipsed Ukraine’s fight for survival against Russia in the top headlines in the U.S., but as nine lawmakers head to this week’s NATO summit they have a goal to keep money and weapons flowing to Ukraine.
There has been broad bipartisan support and public urgency for multiple tranches of aid so far, but there is substantial concern that as the war grinds on and high gas prices and other consumer goods hit Americans personally that support could wane.
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.): “Both here and in Europe, it’s easy to lose your intensity on this issue as it goes on.”
Sen. Angus King (I-Maine): “Realistically there is a half-life to these issues.”
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas): “The Europeans need to realize that this is their backyard and they need to step up. And they can’t just continue to depend on Uncle Sam to keep writing the checks.”
Even progressives, like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), are thinking about conditions for any future aid package, including tracking the money and weapons headed to the region. (POLITICO) Read more here.
After Roe:
Focus Now Turns to "Trigger Laws" in 26 States
More than 2 dozen states to restrict abortions after Roe v Wade overturned in Dobbs decision
Thirteen states in the country are poised to enact immediate abortion bans and at least 13 more could quickly follow suit after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on Friday, leaving abortion rights up to the states to decide.
At least 13 states in the country have so-called "trigger laws" banning most abortions that will take effect immediately or within weeks of Roe v. Wade being overturned.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion rights research group, those states are Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wyoming, which just passed its trigger law in April.
In total, the Guttmacher Institute estimates that 26 of 50 states are certain or likely to ban abortion now that Roe is overturned. The Center for Reproductive Rights, an abortion rights legal group, counts 25 states as likely to ban abortion, including North Carolina and Pennsylvania but not including Florida, Iowa, or Montana.
Meanwhile, abortion access is expected to continue or even expand in blue states like California and Oregon, which have moved to protect abortion rights in recent weeks.(Fox News) Read more here.
- Lord, as a judge in Louisiana is already attempting to stop their trigger law from going into effect, we pray that Your Spirit would cover every state that seeks to protect the unborn. We declare that no plan of man will succeed against the plans of God.
- "Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." (Proverbs 19:21)

3 dead, at least 50 injured after Amtrak train derails
Three people are dead and dozens are injured after an Amtrak train derailed after hitting a dump truck that was in an uncontrolled public crossing in Mendon, Missouri, according to Amtrak and officials.
Eight passenger cars and two locomotives, which is where the engines are, derailed at about 12:42 p.m. local time, Amtrak said.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. Justin Dunn said two of the train passengers were killed, along with someone who was in the dump truck.
Eric McKenzie, the superintendent with Chariton County Ambulance Service, told ABC News at least 50 people were injured.
The train was en route from Los Angeles to Chicago with 243 passengers and 12 crew members on board at the time of the crash, Amtrak said. All the train occupants from the scene were evacuated, according to Dunn.
At least 13 victims have been hospitalized. Officials at Hendrick Medical Center accepted four patients from the scene, while officials at MU Health Care University Hospital/Columbia said its facility is treating nine patients as of 5:57 p.m. ET. (ABC News) Read more here.
- Father God, we see Your ministering angels being very active at the scene of this train wreck. With 243 passengers on board, we praise You for the many who have survived this tragedy. We lift up those who tonight are mourning their lost loved ones; and we pray Your healing touch to be upon those who are now hospitalized.
Thank You, dear Lord, for watching over us we pray, amen and amen.
- "For He will give His angels orders concerning you,
To protect you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)
Three Prayer Request on the Other Side of Roe v. Wade
Here are three prayer requests for the hour we are in, offered by Wolfgang Kovacek at the end of last night's call. Thank you for standing in agreement with these specific and timely prayer targets:
1. Pray for Safety, Security and Protection for all Born Again Christians, Pregnancy Centers, Pro-Life Institutions and all their leaders and members, The Supreme Court Justices and Pro- Life Politicians, President Trump, his whole family and all future members of his next cabinet, all soldiers, military, marines, air force, navy, space force and all three letter agencies that are truly defending the constitution of the Unites States of America.
2. For God’s Justice to be displayed in the Public’s eyes, so that the eyes of those that have been blinded for so long, can be opened, so that there is an awakening towards God, and awakening regarding Justice, and awakening towards Life and godly Biblical values.
3. For all evil, occult, despicable, corrupt and heinous, deceptive, satanic acts and intentions to be exposed, arrested and made null and void in Jesus’ name. Let Freedom ring and let all corruption be exposed and be dealt with. Treason needs to be dealt with accordingly. Accountability is due and overdue in so many different areas of our life, be it politics, media, social media, health, pharmaceutical companies, wall street, government, judges, police, unions, governing bodies that represent their members, school boards, education systems, banking, and many more. Let Fraud, greed, racism, the spirit of mammon, witchcraft, wizardry, occultism, satanism and all evil organizations be exposed and held accountable by God’s Justice in Jesus name.
And here is a decree from CHPP:
"“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

NASA’s Juno spacecraft captured this view of Jupiter during the mission’s 40th
close pass by the giant planet on Feb. 25, 2022.
As it grew, Jupiter might have eaten a few planets, study finds
Jupiter, the solar system's biggest planet, might owe some of its gargantuan size to the fact that it cannibalized other planets in order to help it grow, according to a new study.
The massive gas giant's swirling storms and cloudy outer atmosphere have long-hindered researchers' abilities to glean information about the composition of the planet, but new data collected from NASA's Juno probe has allowed scientists to look into what makes up the surface of the planet, according to Live Science.
"Juno provided very accurate gravity data that helped us to constrain the distribution of the material in Jupiter's interior," lead researcher Yamila Miguel, an astrophysicist at Leiden University in The Netherlands, told Live Science. "It is very unique data that we can only get with a spacecraft orbiting around the planet."
Juno was launched from Earth on Aug. 5, 2011, and has been orbiting Jupiter since July 4, 2016.
A team of scientists used gravitational data collected by Juno to examine the solid material at the massive planet's core, finding that its chemical make-up strongly suggests that Jupiter ingested baby planets, scientifically known as planetesimals, to sustain its rapid growth. Read More

Pro-Lifers Rally Behind Teen Mom of Twins Profiled in Washington Post; Help Raise over $50,000
Pro-life activists and organizations are rallying behind a fundraiser for a teen mother who gave birth to twins but told The Washington Post she had considered an abortion. The mom, Brooke Alexander, launched the GoFundMe fundraiser Tuesday with a $50,000 goal which was crossed Wednesday after pro-lifers, including Lila Rose of Live Action, urged their social media followers to support her financially. Alexander is 18. “Friends—- Let’s show our support for Brooke, Billy, Kendall and Olivia, the young family recently written about by the @washingtonpost! They deserve all the encouragement in the world. Donate below,” Rose wrote on Twitter, where she has 265,000 followers. The Human Defense Initiative, a millennial-led pro-life organization, also got involved, encouraging its followers on social media to donate to the fundraiser.
Rose had been highly critical of the Washington Post for the article, calling it a “cruel, condescending piece. You objectified her & her beautiful girls for your own pro-abortion ideology,” Rose wrote earlier this week. The story noted that Alexander learned she was pregnant 48 hours before a Texas law went into effect that prohibits abortions if an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detected. The story ran under the headline, “This Texas teen wanted an abortion. She now has twins.”
On her fundraiser page, Alexander says her husband is also 18 and recently left for basic training. “I’m worried I won’t be able to provide for us,” she writes. “The funds will be used to buy diapers, wipes, formula, etc. We will also use the funds to help pay for bills such as my car payment, insurance payment, phone bill, etc. We are struggling to get by, and any donation helps. Thank you.” Her GoFundMe page is filled with words of encouragement from individuals who donated. “God bless you and these sweet babies!” one woman wrote. “There is a large and supportive pro-life community here to help you along this journey. Those babies are a gift, and you are strong and courageous being their mother!” (Christian Headlines) Read more here.
Nightly Prayer to HOLD THE LINE... and Today's Prophetic Words
We invite you to join a NIGHTLY prayer call with Rick Warzywak, Prayer leader for Transform Michigan. The call is focused on prayer over the Presidential election results and is EVERY NIGHT from 9-10pm EST.
Lyrics:
Teach me Thy way, O Lord,
Teach me Thy way!
Thy guiding grace afford,
Teach me Thy way!
Help me to walk aright,
More by faith, less by sight;
Lead me with heav’nly light,
Teach me Thy way!
When I am sad at heart,
Teach me Thy way!
When earthly joys depart,
Teach me Thy way!
In hours of loneliness,
In times of dire distress,
In failure or success,
Teach me Thy way!
Teach me Thy way!
When storms o’erspread the skies,
Teach me Thy way!
Shine through the cloud and rain,
Through sorrow, toil and pain;
Make Thou my pathway plain,
Teach me Thy way!
Long as my life shall last,
Teach me Thy way!
Where’er my lot be cast,
Teach me Thy way!
Until the race is run,
Until the journey’s done,
Until the crown is won,
Teach me Thy way!
