Trump: DOJ Must Withdraw Indictment, Issue Apology
Former President Donald Trump said the Department of Justice must "immediately" withdraw its indictment against him and replace it with an apology, citing the Presidential Records Act.
Trump made the statement on his Truth Social account, touting a column written by lawyer Michael Bekesha in the Wall Street Journal where he argued a president "chooses what records to return or keep and the National Archives can't do anything about it."
"The Presidential Records Act allows the president to decide what records to return and what records to keep at the end of his presidency. And the National Archives and Records Administration can't do anything about it. I know because I'm the lawyer who lost the 'Clinton sock drawer' case," Bekesha wrote in the Journal.
Trump on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to 37 charges related to alleged mishandling of classified documents. He is the first former U.S. president to face federal charges. (Newsmax) Read more
- Father, we decree justice over this indictment, in Jesus name. We pray for it to be completely thrown out and integrity restored to the judicial system and Department of Justice. Holy One, this is so clearly an inequitable prosecution against President Trump, who has every right to retain possession of the documents, as every other President has done. Though the wicked surround the righteous, we expect to be utterly astounded, because we believe You will cause justice to go forth into the FBI who raided the Trump family's personal belongings in those boxes and the National Archives who were absent from assisting them leave in an orderly fashion.
- "Thus says the Lord: 'Keep justice, and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.'" (Isaiah 56:1)

Federal Judge Issues Order on Trump’s Classified Documents Case
U.S. district judge Aileen Cannon handed down an order since former president Donald Trump entered a not guilty plea to charges in connection with the Department of Justice’s case alleging he mishandled classified documents.
Cannon, in brief Thursday order, instructed all parties involved to obtain security clearances for lawyers who will need them. The order appears to emphasize the sensitivity of the case, as it is dealing with classified materials that a president could access.
“On or before June 16, 2023, all attorneys of record and forthcoming attorneys of record shall contact the Litigation Security Group of the U.S. Department of Justice, if they have not done so already, to expedite the necessary clearance process for all team members anticipated to participate in this matter, and thereafter file a Notice of Compliance” no later than June 20, Cannon wrote.
Over the past week, Cannon has faced significant pressure and criticism from mainstream media outlets, claiming that because she was appointed by Trump, the judge would act in a biased manner that favors the former commander-in-chief. Some Democratic lawmakers, too, called on the judge to recuse herself in the case.
Notably, in August 2022, Cannon barred Justice Department investigators from using classified documents that were obtained during an FBI raid targeting Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort until a special master could review the materials. Cannon said at the time that Trump could suffer “reputational harm” from the search, appearing to make note of leaks to the mainstream media about Trump-related investigations.
“I’m very concerned about her prior rulings and her potential mindset in this case,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, told reporters this week. Meanwhile, former attorney general Eric Holder publicly claimed that Cannon lacks the “legal acumen” to handle the case, without elaborating on why. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.
- Just King Jesus, we thank You for granting a judge that may actually be just and we pray You protect her position and standing as well as life and loved ones, in Jesus name. We know that we are in the midst of a power-struggle between our God, Constitution and culture versus the powers of darkness and tyranny. We again cry out to You for victory in this matter and ask that You close the mouth of the roaring lions' squalling and seeking to devour this righteous judge and our President, in Jesus name.
- "The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet." (Nahum 1:3)

Former Head of Jan. 6 Bomb Investigation Reveals Key Obstacle to Identifying Suspect
The FBI captured data on people around the sites at which pipe bombs were discovered on Jan. 6, 2021, but some of the data was not usable, the former head of the bureau’s investigation into the bombs has claimed.
D’Antuono said that the data was corrupted “by one of the providers” before saying it was not done intentionally.
“It just—unusual circumstance that we have corrupt data from one of the providers,” he said. “I’m not sure—I can’t remember right now which one.”
D’Antuono said he did not want the information to trigger “conspiracy theories” but acknowledged that having the data “could have been good” and that it was “painful for us to not have that.”
D’Antuono, who departed the FBI in 2022, was speaking to the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee on June 7. The panel released portions of the interview on June 14.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who was questioning D’Antuono when the former official made the comments, called the data corruption disclosure “unbelievable.”
Massie, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), and Reps. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) highlighted the remarks in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray. They said the testimony “raises concerns about the FBI’s handling of the pipe bomb investigation, more than 890 days following the placement of the pipe bombs, and despite your statements that you have ‘total confidence’ the FBI will apprehend the subject.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.
- Holy King, we call for the FBI to submit to You first and to governing authority in Congress second, in Jesus name. We lack confidence in this organization and believe they have become an enemy of our Constitution and a tool for control by those who do not seek the best for our nation. We declare they will not continue to wreak havoc upon the free people of this nation; that Christopher Wray will be removed; and that strong, God-ordained leadership will come into the FBI and have the wisdom to clean house, in Jesus name.
- "'And He [God] changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.'" (Daniel 2:21-22)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL
1. Netanyahu hands Smotrich full authority to expand existing settlements - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government passed a controversial resolution Sunday that gives practically all control over planning approval for construction in West Bank settlements to Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, an ultranationalist advocate of settlements.
The decision approved at Sunday morning’s cabinet meeting, which takes immediate effect, also dramatically expedites and eases the process for expanding existing West Bank settlements and retroactively legalizing some illegal outposts.
The resolution was warmly welcomed by settlement leaders for the expected boost to settlement construction it is likely to create. (Read more)
2. Israel creates fast track for settlement building, Palestinians cancel meeting - Jerusalem Post
The government fast-tracked the approval process for West Bank settler homes, removing diplomatic safeguards that have been in place for almost three decades, at Sunday’s cabinet meeting.
“This is an historic decision that changes the treatment of the settlements in Judea and Samaria” and helps normalize it so that it is more akin to the process “in all of Israel,” Binyamin Regional Council head Israel Ganz said.
“Residents of Judea and Samaria have the right to build and develop without piling up unnecessary difficulties,” Ganz claimed. This step turns “construction in the settlements into something that is not news, but routine,” he added. (Read more)
3. Netanyahu on Iran deal: ‘Israel will do whatever it needs to defend itself’ - JNS
Israel will act to defend itself against Iranian aggression, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday amid reports the United States is closing in on a “mini deal” with the Islamic Republic.
“We have made it clear, and I reiterate: The State of Israel will do whatever it needs to, with its own means, to defend itself from Iranian aggression both in the nuclear sphere and, of course, through its use of terrorist proxies,” said Netanyahu at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting.
“We have made it clear to our American friends time and again, and I will do so again today, that we oppose the agreements, first of all the original agreement, the JCPOA [2015 Iran nuclear accord], which will only pave Iran’s way to a bomb and line its pockets with hundreds of billions of dollars,” continued the premier. 4. Shin Bet, IDF arrest Palestinian planning terror attack in Lod - Jerusalem Post
The Shin Bet and IDF arrested a 16-year-old Palestinian in Lod on Friday who is suspected of planning on carrying out a terror attack.
According to intelligence from Shin Bet and the IDF, the teenager, whose name is Muhammad Nasser Sawalma, was motivated to plan the attack as revenge for activity of Israeli security forces in Nablus in recent weeks.
The suspect is a resident of the Balata refugee camp in the West Bank, and has no affiliation to any organization, according to intelligence information, and was found to be in Lod without a residence permit. (No link available)
5. Netanyahu seeks 'active steps' on judicial overhaul this week - Israel Hayom
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday he would pursue "active steps" on a contested judicial overhaul this week after what he described as months of wasteful compromise talks with the Opposition.
"Most of Israeli society understand that there need to be changes in the judicial system," he told his Cabinet. "That's why we will meet this week and commence with active steps ... in a measured way commensurate with the mandate we were given."
The judicial drive, announced in January only a week into Netanyahu's return to office, set off one of Israel's worst political crises in years, with critics at home and abroad dubbing it a threat to the very nature of Israel's democracy. (Read more)

1.DOJ responds to Jordan’s demands for more information on Trump docs probe - The Hill
The Justice Department (DOJ) has responded to demands from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) for information on the documents investigation into former President Trump.
Assistant Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte sent letters — obtained by The Hill — to Jordan on Friday in response to requests he made for information about the August FBI search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property for classified and sensitive documents taken there after his presidency ended and the staffing and scope of the probes that Special Counsel Jack Smith is leading.
Jordan asked Attorney General Merrick Garland in the original letter to provide information on which personnel are working on the case, the scope and the Mar-a-Lago search earlier this month.
The requests came after the release of a report last month from John Durham, a special counsel appointed during the Trump administration, that criticized the FBI’s decision-making process for opening an investigation into alleged ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia. (Read more)
2. Iowa Supreme Court Issues Rare 3–3 Decision, Declines to Reinstate Abortion Law - The Epoch Times
The Iowa Supreme Court, in a 3–3 decision, declined to reinstate a six-week ban on abortions that was backed by the state’s governor.
A 2019 district court nullified the state’s previous six-week ban on the procedure, with a Polk County District Court judge ruling that the ban was unconstitutional based on state and federal law. The case was taken up last year after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, ending federal protection of the procedure.
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year, Gov. Kim Reynolds immediately sought to revive the law. The blocked law barred abortions once cardiac activity can be detected, coming usually around six weeks of pregnancy.
With the 3–3 Iowa Supreme Court ruling, abortions will remain legal in Iowa up to 20 weeks of pregnancy. If the Supreme Court decided in favor of the ban, the state would have joined other states that have passed similar “heartbeat” measures, including Texas, Alabama, Missouri, Georgia, North Dakota, Louisiana, Missouri, and Kentucky. 3. The LGBT Agenda Has Become Canada's State Ideology - Prophecy News Watch
Anyone who doubts that LGBT ideology has become state ideology should look at how Canadian governments are responding to scattered debates across the country about LGBT flags and indoctrination in schools.
The most totalitarian response came from British Columbia, where Rachna Singh, Minister of Education and Child Care, issued a statement earlier this month "to mark Pride 2023 and celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in B.C.'s education system."
Singh made it very clear that B.C.'s New Democratic Party (NDP) government would tolerate no dissent on the issue:
The month of June is a time for all in K-12 education throughout B.C. to hear more about Pride month, recognize and celebrate the contributions of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and learn more about the significance and origins of events that started out of protest, like the Pride parade. (Read more)
4. Concerns That Transgender Culture Has Gone Too Far Make for Unusual Pride Month - The Virginia Star
Pride Month in the U.S. and elsewhere has historically been, for many, a celebration of gay rights and equality. But this year’s annual festivities have been undercut by concerns from consumers and others who believe transgender culture is being pushed upon them and their children, which has resulted in some companies and governments pulling back their support.
Evan Nierman, the CEO of the crisis management firm Red Banyan and author of Crisis Averted, told Just the News on Thursday that the shift against Pride Month is “because of the transgender issues.”
“It has been thrust front and center into the national debate and has made it harder for a lot of people in the country to feel comfortable endorsing Pride Month and celebrating it because in the LGBTQ acronym, it’s really the ‘T’ in it that has started to dominate the national conversation,” he said, referring to transgender.
He also argues the backlash is “simply a reaction to what has been perceived as an explosion of acceptance and promotion of transgenderism among youth.”
Conservative Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh, who did a documentary last year regarding transgenderism titled, “What is a Woman?,” tweeted Wednesday, “Social conservatism is ascendant. Brands that push the LGBT agenda are suffering massive losses. Many states have passed laws banning the mutilation of kids. Gender clinics are being shut down. High school kids are pushing back against Pride indoctrination in their schools. We are gaining ground. We are starting to win.” (Read more)
5. Virginia AG Leads Coalition on Recommendations for Artificial Intelligence Governance - The Virginia Star
A bipartisan coalition of 23 attorneys general, co-led by Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares (pictured above), submitted a letter advising the National Telecommunications and Information Administration on governance policies on artificial intelligence.
As part of creating policy recommendations on AI, the NTIA invited policymakers and subject matter experts for expertise and commentary.
In the letter, the attorneys general urge the NTIA, part of the U.S. Department of Commerce primarily responsible for “advising the president on telecommunications and information policy,” to support policies that “prioritize robust transparency, reliable testing and assessment requirements, and allow for government oversight and enforcement for high-risk uses.”
The letter continually echoes the language of the NTIA and of President Biden as it expresses the desire to properly handle the technology of AI – with due deference to the harm it could cause – while not stifling innovation and technological progress.
“As with other emerging technologies,” says the letter, “a critical challenge in this area is to encourage and oversee the proper development of dynamic and trustworthy tools without hampering innovation.” (Read more)
6. Pentagon chief urges Turkish counterpart on Sweden's NATO entry - Reuters
BRUSSELS (Reuters) -U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said he urged Turkey to allow Sweden's entry into NATO during an introductory meeting on Friday with his new Turkish counterpart Yasar Guler during a gathering of NATO defense ministers in Brussels.
"My purpose in meeting him today was an introductory meeting, just to congratulate him on being installed as minister of defence. Of course, (I) seize every opportunity to encourage him to move forward and approve the accession of Sweden," Austin told a press conference at NATO headquarters.
"But it's a very short meeting, and I don't have anything to report out from that."
Both Sweden and Finland applied to join NATO after Russia invaded Ukraine in February last year, choosing to abandon decades of military non-alignment in favour of the transatlantic alliance's collective security guarantee. (Read more)

7. Government shutdown warnings rise as Republicans seek deeper cuts in budget battle - AP
Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s bid to appease Republican hard-liners and get the House moving again after a recent party rebellion on the floor has some Democrats warning of a difficult road ahead when it comes to passing legislation that will keep the government running.
The most consequential move of the week was an announcement from GOP leadership that arrived with little fanfare. Republicans said they plan to pursue appropriations bills, which fund government programs and agencies, with less spending than the top-line numbers they agreed to in a deal with the White House last month. That compromise avoided what would have been an unprecedented federal default.
McCarthy argued that the numbers he negotiated with the White House amount to a cap and “you can always do less.” GOP Rep. Kay Granger of Texas, who leads the House Appropriations Committee, followed with a statement that said she would seek to limit nondefense spending at 2022 budget levels, saying the debt agreement “set a top-line spending cap -– a ceiling, not a floor.”
The announcements delighted Republicans who had criticized McCarthy, R-Calif., and opposed the debt ceiling legislation because they felt that agreement allowed too much spending. But it drew immediate pushback from Democrats who say an attempt to circumvent the debt ceiling agreement’s top-line numbers effectively guarantees a standoff with the Senate and White House and possibly even a damaging government stoppage when funding expires this fall.
“It is a prelude to a shutdown — what they are engineering,” said Connecticut Rep. Rosa DeLauro, the top Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee. (Read more)

8. US, China fail to overcome most serious issues as Blinken finishes day of talks in Beijing - Just the News
The United States and China were unable to reach a consensus on their most severe disagreements but had a potentially constructive conversation and agreed to continue discussions as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken concluded his first day of talks in Beijing.
Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang agreed to visit Washington, D.C. during the nearly 6-hour meeting with Blinken, but China's Foreign Ministry still said U.S.-China relations are "at the lowest point since the establishment of diplomatic relations."
The ministry also said the two sides had a "candid, in-depth and constructive communication on the overall relationship between China and the United States and related important issues."
However, The Associated Press reported that neither side indicated that they would back down from their positions.
Blinken is the highest-level American official to travel to China under the Biden administration. Blinken had postponed his trip to Beijing earlier this year after the U.S. shot down a Chinese surveillance balloon that had crossed much of the continental United States. (Read more)

Russia to Establish Consulate Branch in Jerusalem
The decision solves a dispute over a plot of land in Jerusalem that was purchased by Russia in 1885. Russia plans to establish a consular office in Israel’s capital that will act as a branch office of its Tel Aviv embassy, according to an official statement released on Friday.
The move will solve a long-running dispute over a plot of land in Jerusalem purchased by Russia in 1885, located today on the corner of King George and Ma’alot streets.According to a compromise agreement reached on May 18, the Jerusalem Municipality will release its hold on the plot and all its claims on Russia for unpaid taxes and levies, according to Israel Hayom. The city will also cancel its plan to expropriate part of the land for the Jerusalem light rail, and allow the Russians to register under their ownership a 100-meter long strip for a road to the future diplomatic complex. In exchange, Israel will gain another diplomatic mission in Jerusalem.
“We believe that this step fully serves the interests of further strengthening friendly multifaceted relations between Russia and Israel, as well as goes in line with our country’s unchanging course towards a fair Middle East settlement,” the Russian Embassy said in a statement. (JNS.org) Read more
Prayer: Abba, we thank you that this long running dispute over a plot of land is finally being resolved. We pray that the Russian consulate, once it is open and operational, will be an important communications channel between Israel and Russia and will serve to keep the two nations on peaceful terms. Tim Scott: America Is Not a Racist Country, Progress in This Nation Is ‘Undeniable’
Republican presidential candidate Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that racism in America was not an issue.
During an interview with CNN’s “Axe Files” podcast, Obama said, “I think there is a long history of African American or other minority candidates within the Republican Party who will validate America and say everything’s great and we can all make it.”
Fox News host Shannon Bream asked, “He says it’s fair to be skeptical of candidates who don’t acknowledge and have a plan to address hundreds of years of racism. You’ve talked about your own experiences being followed by store clerks, being pulled over, even having a hard time sometimes getting into the Capitol, attesting that you are actually a senator. Do those experiences make President Obama’s point?”
Scott added, “And if anyone should be standing and shouting at the mountaintops that America is not a racist country, it should be the man that Americans supported twice for the nomination and becoming president. The evolution of America is palpable, progress in this nation undeniable.” (Breitbart) Read more here.
- Father God, we thank You for Senator Tim Scott, an African American citizen who is not swayed by lies but who sees our nation for the great country that it is, and who stands by its truth. We ask that Your Hand of protection would rest upon this senator, and in the days to come, as he continues to run for President of the United States. In Your Name, amen and amen!
- "Render therefore to all their due: . . . honor to whom honor." (Romans 13:7)
IRS Agent Claimed He Can ‘Go Into Anyone’s House At Any Time,’ Jim Jordan Says
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan sent a letter to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Friday demanding to know why an agent had told a woman that he could “go into anyone’s house at any time I want.”
Jordan revealed in the letter that a he’d recently learned of allegations about an IRS agent who had allegedly used a fake name to enter a taxpayer’s home and then threatened her. The letter explained that an agent going by “Bill Haus” showed up at an Ohio woman’s home in April, telling her that he can “go into anyone’s house at any time.”
“We have recently received allegations that an Internal Revenue Service agent provided a false name to an Ohio taxpayer as part of a deception to gain entry into the taxpayer’s home to confront her about delinquent tax filings,” the letter reads. “When the taxpayer rightfully objected to the agent’s tactics, the IRS agent insisted that he ‘can . . . go into anyone’s house at any time’ as an IRS agent. These allegations raise serious concerns about the IRS’s commitment to fundamental civil liberties.”
Haus allegedly entered the woman’s home, claiming she owed a significant amount in taxes for an estate of which she was a “fiduciary,” according to the letter. Later on, the agent allegedly told the woman that he was actually there to discuss “several delinquent tax return filings” from the estate’s deceased owner.
After calling her attorney, the woman was instructed to tell the agent to leave but he refused, claiming that he could be at any house at “any time,” according to the letter. Haus eventually left but allegedly “threatened that she had one week to satisfy the remaining balance or he would freeze all her assets and put a lien on her house.”
The woman called the police, who then contacted Haus and determined that he was using a false identity, instructing him to stay away from the taxpayer, according to the letter. In response, Haus allegedly filed a complaint against the officer with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.
The taxpayer later spoke with Haus’ supervisor on May 4 who informed her that nothing was owed on the estate and that “things never should have gotten this far,” according to the letter. The case was then closed the following day.
As a result, Jordan ordered the IRS to send all documents and communications on this incident to the committee, including all communication between the agency and the Treasury Department or “any other Executive Branch entity” with a deadline of June 30 at 5 p.m., according to the letter.
“This behavior from an IRS agent to an American taxpayer—providing an alias, using deception to secure entry into the taxpayer’s home, and then filing an Inspector General complaint against a police officer examining that matter—is highly concerning,” Jordan wrote in the letter. - Father God, more and more these days, we are hearing about "government overreach." This article is an example of just that. We thank You that Rep. Jim Jordan is doing his job, and will investigate exactly what has happened in this case. We ask that measures be taken so that these violations of our fundamental civil liberties. May all in authority in this case be held accountable and may justice be rendered as needed. In Your Name, amen and amen.

Utah archaeology students unearth artifacts in
1,000-year-old village
PROVO — Approximately 30 students from Brigham Young University and Weber State University are digging up artifacts from a 1,000-year-old Fremont village not far from the shores of Utah Lake.
The site is in an area known as the Hinckley Mounds archaeological site in west Provo. The artifacts that the students are digging up and those unearthed in the past tell them a lot about the people who lived there.
"We've been finding some projectile points, tools, things like that," said Londyn Winter, a senior at WSU taking part in the archaeological dig this summer.
Artifacts found in the pit houses tell the archaeologists and their students that the Indigenous people lived in tiny houses, farmed corn, and hunted and fished in this area that used to be the Provo River Delta.
Winter is attracted to archaeology because of the connections to humans from the past.
"Humans are just so interesting," Winter said. "Like, how we have gotten to this point in our lives and our civilization, and how we got here from there."
