US Government Hit in Global Hacking Campaign

The nation’s cyber watchdog agency reported that the U.S. government was the target of a global hacking campaign that exploited a vulnerability in widely used software on June 15. However, the agency does not anticipate the attack to have a significant impact.

Eric Goldstein, the executive assistant director for cybersecurity at the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), said in a statement that several federal agencies had been compromised after the discovery of a vulnerability in the file transfer software MOVEit.

CISA did not identify the affected agencies or specify how they were affected. It did not respond promptly to requests for additional comment.

Progress Software Corp’s (PRGS.O) MOVEit is typically utilized by businesses to transmit files between partners and customers. Progress stock declined by 4%.

The online extortion group Cl0p, which has claimed responsibility for the MOVEit breach, has stated in the past that it would not use any data stolen from government agencies.

The group wrote that government agencies, cities, and police services shouldn’t worry because they had already erased the data. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Lord God, according to this article, this cyberattack against our government agencies was, indeed, halted before it could do more damage. We ask that those who are in the "tech world" would learn from this threat, and that the knowledge gained would strengthen our protection in the future. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."      (Matthew 18:19)
House Targets Federal Agencies, Votes to Overturn Supreme Court Ruling

The House of Representatives voted on June 15 to approve a bill that could significantly shift federal regulatory authority away from the executive branch to Congress.

Lawmakers voted for the Separation of Powers Restoration Act, known as SOPRA, in a 220–211 vote. Most Republicans voted in favor of the measure, while most Democrats voted against it.

According to an analysis provided by the Congressional Budget Office (pdf), the bill, HR 288, would authorize federal courts to review agency rules and “decide all relevant questions of law, including the interpretation of constitutional and statutory provisions and rules, without deferring to previous legal determinations by the agency.”

Under the bill, according to the analysis, “federal courts could overturn some agency decisions that they would have upheld under current law,” and some of the “decisions could affect federal spending by overturning regulations that affect direct spending, revenues, and spending subject to appropriation.”

Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (R-Wis.), the sponsor of the measure, said a 1984 Supreme Court ruling—Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc.—that created the principle of “Chevron deference” has essentially given the executive branch of the government significantly more authority than he believes is warranted under the Constitution. He argued that federal agencies have essentially superseded Congress by using the Chevron doctrine, violating the U.S. Constitution’s separation of powers clause.

“Since 1984, when the Supreme Court ruled that courts must defer to an agency’s interpretation of an ambiguous statute rather than what Congress intended, the executive branch has begun usurping the legislative branch to issue regulations with the force of law,” Fitzgerald said on June 15. “It is certainly not what our founders intended.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You for the passage of the Separation of Powers Restoration Act in the House, and we now ask that this bill also be passed in the Senate. It is surely time for the three branches of our government to be restored to their functions, according to our Constitution. Thank You, Lord, amen and amen!

- "(For the Lord is our Judge,
The Lord is our Lawgiver,
The Lord is our King;
He will save us)

Tony PERKINS: With Our Kids at Stake, There Is No Retreat from Here
. . . Under an extreme rewrite of California’s Family Code, it would be considered a violation of a child’s “health, safety, and welfare” not to embrace a minor’s gender identity. In plain terms, it would be child abuse. It doesn’t matter if the parents have legitimate religious objections, or if their belief system says gender is determined by biology. If this policy becomes law, Bible-believing Christians will be considered a threat to their children in California, and officials will threaten to remove their kids from the home because of it.

Unfortunately for Americans, this isn’t the movement of a few unhinged progressives. It’s the fruit of radicalism that we see at the very top of the Democratic Party. When the president of the free world calls parents’ opposition to this dangerous ideology “
hysterical,” “ugly,” and “cruel,” we are in treacherous times indeed.

So while some moms and dads may be tempted to think, “It’s not going to happen to my kids,” it’s time to wake up. This is coming — if it’s not already there — to your community. It’s coming for your children, your grandchildren.

Now is the time for every Bible-believing, God-fearing Christian in America to draw a bright red spritual line. You cannot be a spectator watching this and remain in step with the Lord and His word. In this, President Biden is right: There is a battle for the soul of this nation and its children, and we need to realize that it has eternal significance and consequences.

Frankly, we live in a time that’s unprecedented in all of human history. Never has the world seen this type of attack on children and on the rights of parents to protect them, as God has intended us to do (Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 11:18-20) — to teach them, to train them, to nurture them.

The time has come for parents to rise up and reclaim their rightful role. “This is the hill we have to die on,” Burt urged. “We cannot let them take our kids.”

In other words, “There is no retreat from here. You must fight where you stand.”  (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

June 16, 2023 It is now time to take a stand for godliness in the midst of perverseness. The thrust for the transgender/homosexual agenda will not stop. There are those who have made it their life calling. Your life calling should be one of righteousness and purity – all the while LOVING the unlovely. My Son was the “friend of sinners” – be that, but also take a societal stand for My ways. LOVE and preach the truth – help them to think differently.

Mark 6:12 (AMP) “So they went out and preached that men should repent [that is, think differently, recognize sin, turn away from it, and live changed lives].”

American Values
  • The House of Representatives passed bipartisan legislation to prevent the Biden Administration from banning gas stoves.  It remains to be seen if Schumer’s Senate will act on the bill.
  • The number of major corporations bragging about their efforts on behalf of woke DEI and ESG agendas has fallen dramatically – down 31% over the past year.
  • Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed four parental rights bills into law.  The legislation provides greater transparency in school curricula, removes inappropriate books from school libraries and provides greater support to special needs students.
  • Gov. Abbott also signed legislation banning DEI offices at colleges and universities, a tremendous move to lower tuition costs by reducing unnecessary bureaucracy, as well as divisiveness on campus.
  • Amid the ongoing backlash against transgender insanity, Bud Light has lost its crown as the best-selling beer in America.

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
