Trump indictment timeline — What happens after arraignment?

|
Former President Donald Trump's arraignment in court in Miami Tuesday afternoon marks the beginning of the court proceedings on his federal indictment.
Special counsel Jack Smith, who brought the charges, says he's seeking a "speedy trial," "consistent with the public interest and the rights of the accused." But "speedy" in the federal justice system is a relative term. It may be months before Trump's trial begins..
So, what comes next after Trump's arraignment, when the former president is expected to plead "not guilty" to more than three dozen federal charges, including willful retention of classified information and obstruction of justice, over his handling of classified documents post-presidency?

Proof It Was a Setup? Trump Was 1st POTUS in 40 Years Who Feds Didn't Help Archive Classified Docs, Attorneys Say

As we all now know, former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 37 counts of willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice and false statements after a special counsel investigation. However, was the president set up by the federal government?
That is a possible defense that floated into a letter to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in April by Trump’s attorneys, in which they allege the National Archives and Records Administration “has become overtly political and declined to provide archival assistance to President Trump’s transition team” — the first such incidence of this to happen in 40 years.
In a letter to House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rep. Mike Turner of Ohio in April, former Trump lawyer Timothy C. Parlatore argued that NARA’s cooperation with the outgoing Trump administration differed starkly with what the agency had done with every president since Carter.
“When President Trump left office, there was little time to prepare for the outgoing transition from the presidency. Unlike his three predecessors, each of whom had over four years to prepare for their departure upon completion of their second term, President Trump had a much shorter time to wind up his administration,” Parlatore wrote.
“White House staffers and General Service Administration (‘GSA’) employees quickly packed everything into boxes and shipped them to Florida. This was a stark change from the standard preparations made by GSA and National Archives and Records Administration (‘NARA’) for prior administrations.” (Western Journal) Read more.

We thank You for this very obvious point to come to the surface, that naturally, the NARA should be involved in his transition out of the White House. However, evidently they neglected their obligations and held our - President responsible for stewarding tasks under their purview. Kevin McCarthy Takes CNN Reporter To Task For Weaponizing Disgraced Big State Operatives Against Conservatives
|

Speaker Kevin McCarthy took CNN’s Lauren Fox to task on Monday for her network’s use of disgraced former big state operatives.
McCarthy was speaking to a gaggle of reporters on the indictment of former President Donald Trump when Fox began asking if the House was going to take action against the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or Department of Justice.
“The idea of equal justice is not playing out here and so that’s a real concern to all Americans. So as a policy maker and elected officials, we want to make sure it’s equal justice for all,” McCarthy said.
“Now you’re with CNN right?” McCarthy asked the reporter. “Okay, so let’s talk about this even further because when somebody weaponizes government and they actually get removed from government, let’s take Andrew McCabe, ok, former–”
“But this is a different case, this is a different set of circumstances right?” Fox asked. “I mean the former president is accused of misleading law enforcement, of a conspiracy of obstructing justice, that’s a different set of facts. Are you prepared to defend him as the former president and what other actions will the House take in the House Judiciary Committee in terms of funding?”
“Are you prepared to defend your network’s, CNN–” McCarthy continued.
“I’m asking you a question Mr. Speaker,” Fox said.
“I’m answering your question. You could ask me any question you want,” he said. “You can’t put words in my mouth. Even though your network can hire Andrew McCabe, who was fired from the FBI for leaking classified documents, did you remove him from your network? No, you continued to put him on to give judgment against President Trump.

Belarus dictator Lukashenko threatens to use WMDs as Putin hands him tactical nukes
|

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko boasted he would launch tactical nukes if his country faced aggression.
One of Vladimir Putin's few international allies, Lukashenko is known for crushing opposition and popular protests in his own country while supporting Russia's war against Ukraine.
Putin has decided to station Russian short range nuclear weapons in Belarus as soon as July in a move seen as a warning to the West over its continued support for Ukraine.
Moscow has said it would retain control of the weapons of mass destruction, however, Lukashenko's comments seemed to dispute this.
"God forbid I have to make a decision to use those weapons today, but there would be no hesitation if we face an aggression," Lukashenko said according to Belarusian state TV. (Daily Express US) Read more here.

1. Netanyahu: Israel will not be bound by any Iran deal - JNS
Israel’s prime minister said on Tuesday that any agreement reached with Iran regarding its nuclear program will not be binding on Jerusalem.
“Our position is clear: No agreement with Iran will be binding on Israel, which will continue to do everything to defend itself,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the start of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, his first appearance there since the current government took power.
Israel’s stance on the matter was having an impact, he said, but there was still a gap.
“Our opposition to a return to the original agreement, I think it is working, but there are still differences of outlook and we do not hide them, also about smaller agreements. We enunciate our policy clearly both openly and in closed rooms,” Netanyahu continued. (Read more)

2. Seizing on pro-Israel stance, Likud poised to move closer to far-Right parties in Europe - Israel Hayom
Defying the policy of the Knesset's Department of Foreign Relations, which recommended that Knesset members do not meet delegation members of the far-Right Sweden Democrats, who landed in Israel last month, they actually found a sympathetic ear in the Likud party. The Swedish party is making great efforts to dissociate itself from its antisemitic fascist past, and despite an official boycott imposed on it by Israel, the unusual meeting was initiated by Likud MK Amit Halevi.
In an attempt to present concrete actions alongside the promises, after meeting with Halevi the Sweden Democrats lawmakers drafted a binding document of principles renouncing their past, hoping to pave the way for official relations and recognition.
During the week, Halevi is expected to present the document to Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in order to create a historic move that will lead to the end of the Israeli boycott by the party. In the document that will be presented to the two, and which reached Israel Hayom, Israel has been given significant support that it has never received in the past from any European country, including recognition of the importance of the war against Iran, opposition to the Palestinian Authority's support for terrorism, etc. In fact, this is a 180-degree transformation compared to the position of the leftist parties in Europe, which over the years tended to favor Palestinian interests over Israel's security. President Isaac Herzog has been invited by US President Joe Biden to visit the White House during a trip to address Congress in the third week of July, several Hebrew media outlets reported Tuesday.
It will be Herzog’s second visit to the White House in less than a year, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has yet to be invited to meet with Biden since winning the Israeli elections in November, causing some tension.
Herzog’s office told The Times of Israel that the invitation to meet with Biden was made in November but that Israeli and US officials are still working on a date for Herzog to come.

Menachem Ordman, the Israeli man who was moderately injured in a terrorist shooting attack in northern Samaria, recounted the terrifying moments in which terrorists attempted to murder him "at point blank range."
"I stopped the car at the Efes Junction to talk on the phone because there is no reception anywhere in that area. After a minute or two, a white car came and went in front of me. The back window, which was black, was opened, an M16 weapon was pulled out and began shooting. Somehow I realize that I am still alive by a miracle, by miracles. I took out my gun and started returning fire. Suddenly I heard them say in Arabic that it was time to leave," Ordman said from his hospital bed.
He added: "I call on the Israeli government to block all the crossings that the Palestinians and the terrorists have to drive there on the axis, and to launch an operation to eliminate terrorism in the northern Samaria region, which has become the Wild West. I miraculously got out alive, but two weeks ago Meir was murdered. We don't want any more similar stories." (Read more)

5. Hamas looks to recruit Arab-Israelis en masse for next confrontation with Israel - World Israel News
A senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization has denied reports that his group is considering a proposal to establish a long-term ceasefire with Israel, built on the limited agreement reached a month ago, ending five days of fighting.
Ihsan Ataya, a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s political bureau and the group’s liaison in Lebanon, told Al-Rid news that the terrorist group is still “in an open war with the Israeli occupation.”
There is no cease-fire as some claim,” Ataya continued. “The occupation only understands the language of force.”
“The way of negotiation has failed, and we are a movement of struggle and will continue to struggle against the Israeli occupation, and everything that happens in the (West) Bank is the best proof of the continuation of the struggle.” (Read more)

1. Tomi Lahren warns DNC likely to ‘install’ Newsom as nominee: ‘Do not underestimate’ him - Washington Examiner
Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren warned Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) is likely to be the Democratic nominee for president.
Lahren said she believes there is no other reason Newsom would sit down for an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity than if he was preparing to run for president in 2024.
“No doubt is he going to run,” Lahren told Fox & Friends First.
She pointed to Newsom’s recent touring of the country, particularly in those states known to be Republican strongholds, and the jabs the California governor has taken at GOP presidential candidates.
“I believe Gavin Newsom is going to run in 2024," she said. "I don’t believe he is going to take on Joe Biden. I believe he is going to be the Democrat nominee. I believe the DNC, the Democrat Party, is going [to] install him in that position. There is no doubt in my mind.” (Read more)

2. JB Pritzker signs bill making Illinois the first state to outlaw 'book bans' - Washington Examiner
Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) signed a bill on Monday outlawing "book bans" in public libraries throughout the state.
The legislation would prohibit the restriction of materials in state libraries, as has been occurring in several red states across the country.
House Bill 2789 requires the state librarian and the Illinois State Library to adopt the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights, specifically noting the portion that "indicates materials should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval."
Further, libraries are tasked with prohibiting "the practice of banning specific books or resources."
"Here in Illinois, we don't hide from the truth, we embrace it," said Pritzker in a press release. "Young people shouldn't be kept from learning about the realities of our world; I want them to become critical thinkers, exposed to ideas that they disagree with, proud of what our nation has overcome, and thoughtful about what comes next. 3. Disgraced FBI Official Defends Hillary Clinton’s Handling Of Classified Info: ‘It Was Simply Conversations’ - The Daily Caller
Former Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Andrew McCabe claimed Monday that Hillary Clinton lacked “intentionality” when it came to her handling of classified material.
“Neither the IG or FBI was able to cover any evidence of intentionality, intention to remove material, intention to withhold material, intention to essentially converse in classified ways,” McCabe said on “CNN News Central.” “It was simply conversations — mostly it was information that was sent to Secretary Clinton while she was secretary and that she either responded to or received.”
An email server set up in Hillary Clinton’s Chappaqua home during her tenure as Secretary of State became the subject of a FBI investigation during the 2016 presidential campaign. Then-FBI Director James Comey announced Clinton would not face prosecution in a July 2016 press conference. (Read more)

4. Tons Of Children Present’: Transgender Person Chases Reporter At Pride Parade With Breasts ‘Completely Exposed’ - The Daily Caller
Reporter Kalen D’Almeida was chased down a street by a transgender person at the Washington, D.C., pride parade Saturday, according to video shared online.
“An individual who I suspect to be a biological male chases me down the parade route with it’s breasts completely exposed. Is this what women do?” the reporter wrote on Twitter. “Tons of children present btw.”
The video shows the individual running and jumping while moving his hand suggestively over his body. The individual continues running after the reporter with his mouth open and his “breasts” out.
Another video shared by the reporter of the event shows a scantily clad individual twerking in front of a couple seated at a table, and men in thongs dancing provocatively on a parade float. Other videos show gay men in leather strapped clothing waving whips. (Read more)

5. Two mega-shelters opening on Upper West Side as NYC migrant tally tops 74,000 arrivals - New York Post
The Big Apple is opening two more emergency centers to provide arriving migrants with housing and social services as the number of arrivals topped 74,000 — with more than 47,000 remaining in the care of City Hall, Mayor Eric Adams said Monday.
The two new mega-shelters — dubbed Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers by officials — will open on the Upper West Side and include enough rooms to provide housing for more than 800 single women and adult families.
These two shelters will join the fleet of roughly 170 emergency shelters and social service hubs opened by the Department of Homeless Services and the city’s public hospitals corporation since the migrant crisis began last spring. (Read more)

6. Catholic Hospitals Are Performing Transgender Surgeries And Abortions: REPORT - The Daily Caller
Hospitals within the Catholic Common Spirit Health Network are performing transgender surgeries and abortions, according to a report by the Lepanto Institute.
“The largest Catholic health system in the United States, Common Spirit Health, is acting directly against Catholic moral teaching in direct defiance of its Catholic identity,” the report alleges, drawing on patient forms, website screenshots and other forms of evidence. Common Spirit is a member of the Catholic Health Care Federation and is the product of a merger between Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives.
The Lepanto Institute exists to “present the facts regarding organizations that claim the name Catholic or even Christian but are acting in opposition to the teachings of our Blessed Lord and His Holy and Immaculate Church,” the report explains. While these facilities are not ‘Catholic,’ they are nonetheless all members of CommonSpirit and fall under the sponsorship of the Catholic Health Care Federation, which receives its approbation from the Vatican,” the report notes. 7. Sen. Grassley drops bombshell details on Burisma bribe to Biden - DML News
Sen. Chuck Grassley said Monday that the Burisma executive who allegedly paid Joe Biden and Hunter Biden kept 17 audio recordings of his conversations with them as an “insurance policy,” citing the FBI FD-1023 form that the bureau briefed congressional lawmakers on.
Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed from the Senate floor Monday what was said to be a redacted reference in the FBI-generated FD-1023 form alleging a criminal bribery scheme between then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national that involved influence over U.S. policy decisions.
Fox News Digital exclusively reported on the contents of the form last week. The FD-1023 form, dated June 30, 2020, is the FBI’s interview with a “highly credible” confidential source who detailed multiple meetings and conversations he or she had with a top Burisma executive over the course of several years, starting in 2015. Fox News Digital has not seen the form, which is redacted, but it was described by several sources who are aware of its contents. (Read more)

8. House Oversight Committee Subpoenas Biden Family Associate Devon Archer - Brietbart
The House Oversight Committee announced late Monday it has subpoenaed Devon Archer, a Biden family associate, to appear for a deposition to Congress this Friday. “Mr. Archer’s testimony is critical to the Committee’s investigation as he was Hunter Biden’s business partner in a number of transactions involving foreign nationals and foreign companies,” the committee’s official Twitter account said.
“Mr. Archer is associated with corporate entities that the Committee has identified and the Biden family’s role in each of them. Furthermore, he has significant information regarding the purpose of these companies and knowledge of relevant documents related to the Committee’s investigation. We look forward to hearing from him,” it added. (Read more)

An Analysis Of The Trump Indictment

The news media promotes that Donald Trump is the first former president indicted on federal charges. The media is not repeating that Joe Biden’s hand-picked Attorney General chose Jack Smith as Special Council. Smith, a former Manhattan prosecutor worked in the Obama Administration for five years and added several Republican notches to his legal gun. Smith is said to be politically independent. Smith’s wife, Katy Chevigny is known for “Becoming,” a documentary about Michelle Obama’s life. She is also a known donor to Biden. Connecting the dots, there is a lot more than what meets the eye about this indictment. These are people with very political track records closely tied to the current and former Democrat regimes.
The indictment spends a lot of time alleging that about 160 boxes, give or take, had been moved from one place to another on different occasions. But it doesn’t say if they were, for example, 10 of the same boxes moved repeatedly or 160 different boxes. During the Mar-A-Largo search of Trump’s home, the indictment says it took 102 classified documents—seems like that amount of documents could have been stored in a relatively small number of boxes, but the indictment doesn’t say how they were stored. It appears that these 102 classified documents are the core evidence of the 31 counts against Trump. The rest is information about document custody and movement, and who said what to who. It does not seem that the case against Trump is built on the documents that were returned by Trump. Read More

Next Generation Experimental Aircraft Becomes NASA’s Newest X-Plane
|

NASA and Boeing said Monday the aircraft produced through the agency’s Sustainable Flight Demonstrator project has been designated by the U.S. Air Force as the X-66A.
The new X-plane seeks to inform a potential new generation of more sustainable single-aisle aircraft – the workhorse of passenger airlines around the world. Working with NASA, Boeing will build, test, and fly a full-scale demonstrator aircraft with extra-long, thin wings stabilized by diagonal struts, known as a Transonic Truss-Braced Wing concept.
“At NASA, our eyes are not just focused on stars but also fixated on the sky. The Sustainable Flight Demonstrator builds on NASA’s world-leading efforts in aeronautics as well climate,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. “The X-66A will help shape the future of aviation, a new era where aircraft are greener, cleaner, and quieter, and create new possibilities for the flying public and American industry alike.”
The X-66A is the first X-plane specifically focused on helping the United States achieve the goal of net-zero aviation greenhouse gas emissions, which was articulated in the White House’s U.S. Aviation Climate Action Plan.
“To reach our goal of net zero aviation emissions by 2050, we need transformative aircraft concepts like the ones we’re flying on the X-66A,” said Bob Pearce, associate administrator for NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, who announced the designation at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Aviation Forum in San Diego. “With this experimental aircraft, we’re aiming high to demonstrate the kinds of energy-saving, emissions-reducing technologies the aviation industry needs.” Read More

News Brief: Muslim Bible Translators Miraculously Converting to Christianity

Never underestimate how creative God can get when it comes to executing the Great Commission. Scripture makes it very clear that, as believers, one of our fundamental duties is to help people find Jesus and to make disciples out of them. The work of the Bible translation ministry unfoldingWord.org and its partnership with the Church Growth Project of Chad is a perfect example. It comes as no surprise that the majority of the population in the African county is Muslim, and Arabic and French are the two official languages. But PCET doesn't take that into consideration when hiring locals to take on a job, and that includes translating Bible stories into their native tongue. Most of the people who responded to an ad for workers just happened to be non-Christian, but what is happening with this work project is no less than a miracle.
Christianheadlines.com has reported that, because of their work with the Bible, at least two Muslim translators have converted to Christianity, and that "many of the imams in the area have been surprisingly open to engaging with the groups in reading the stories to their villages once they're completed." Some of the translators' faiths have grown and, as one Chadian leader described it, "people have come to see that Christianity is not just a Western product. When they can listen to the Word of God in their own language, that changes the narrative." During this journey, PCET brought in pastors to help ensure that each group's translations were accurate and free of theological errors, but it was rare for the difference in religion to be an issue.
