Republican Lawmaker Warns Trump Supporters About Falling Into DOJ Trap
|
|
Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) has issued a warning to conservative Americans about “falling for the trap” if they choose to protest against former President Donald Trump’s latest indictment.
Higgins, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, warned Trump supporters that the Department of Justice would like to have “J6 again,” a reference to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
“My fellow conservatives, the DOJ/FBI doesn’t expect to imprison Trump, they expect to imprison you. They want J6 again, in Miami and in your city and in mine. They want MAGA conservatives to react to this perimeter probe and in doing so, set yourselves up for targeted persecution and further entrapment,” Higgins said in a statement on June 11.
“They want to intercept a busload of conservatives en route to protest and create conflicts during the stop. They are hoping to provoke conservative Americans. Don’t fall for the trap. Maintain your family. Live your life. Live free and pay close attention and make your voice heard,” Higgins added.

IN-DEPTH: Trump Indictment Rests on
Untested Legal Theory, Experts Say

The indictment of former President Donald Trump for holding military documents and obstructing the government from taking them is built on a novel legal theory that has multiple weaknesses, according to several lawyers and other experts.
Trump has been arraigned and pled not guilty to all 37 charges on June 13 and laid out some details of his defense in a subsequent speech.
“Threatening me with 400 years of prison for possessing my own Presidential papers, which just about every other President has done, is one of the most outrageous and vicious legal theories ever put forward in an American court of law,” Trump said.
The case has been portrayed in the media as being about Trump’s retaining classified documents from his presidency. However, the charges sidestep that issue and instead use a clause in the Espionage Act that criminalizes a failure to hand over national defense information. The indictment further alleges that Trump and staffer Waltine Nauta hid some documents when the government demanded them through a subpoena.
The alleged Espionage Act violations impose a high burden of proof and raise the question of whether the statute should have been applied to begin with and, if not, whether the underlying investigation should serve as a basis for obstruction charges, some lawyers told The Epoch Times.

NATO ‘Air Defender’ military drills involve 10,000 personnel, 250 aircraft
|

NATO has launched what it’s calling its "largest deployment exercise" in history, aimed at sending a message to countries like Russia that it "is ready to defend every inch of Allied territory."
The two-week long "Air Defender" exercise is set to run until June 23 and will involve 25 countries, 10,000 personnel and 250 aircraft, according to NATO.
"Air Defender is necessary because we live in a more dangerous world," NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu said in a statement. "As we face the biggest security crisis in a generation, we stand united to keep our countries and our people safe."
"Air Defender sends a clear message that NATO is ready to defend every inch of Allied territory," she added. (Fox News) Read more here.

1. Defense tech firm Rafael reveals first-ever hypersonic interceptor - Times of Israel
Israel’s Rafael defense contractor unveiled Wednesday that it has been developing a first-of-its-kind anti-hypersonic missile defense system.
According to the company, the Sky Sonic interceptor missile, which has been in development for around three years, will be shown for the first time at the upcoming Paris Air Show next week.
The announcement comes after Iran earlier this month claimed it had developed a new hypersonic missile. Rafael officials said the company had only recently been given approval by the Defense Ministry to reveal the system. (Read more)

2. Xi: China willing to help foster Palestinian peacemaking with Israel - Reuters
BEIJING, June 14 (Reuters) - China is willing to play a positive role to help the Palestinians achieve internal reconciliation and promote peace talks with Israel, Chinese President Xi Jinping told his Palestinian counterpart in Beijing on Wednesday.
"The fundamental solution to the Palestinian issue lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital," Xi said, according to Chinese state media.
Palestinians seek statehood in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, territories occupied by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war. Israel withdrew soldiers and settlers from Gaza in 2005 but continues to expand settlements in the West Bank and calls Jerusalem its eternal, indivisible capital. (Read more)

3. Muslim-majority Kosovo wants ‘strategic partnership’ with Israel — former PM - Times of Israel
The Kosovar leader who normalized ties with Israel and opened up Pristina’s embassy in Jerusalem said on Wednesday that his country seeks a “strategic partnership” with Israel.
“That would mean working extremely closely, not only in economic cooperation and diplomatic relations and things like that, but working together and sharing information, helping each other to increase capacities in terms of security issues, strategic development,” former prime minister Avdullah Hoti, who is now in the opposition, told The Times of Israel.
Hoti, who heads the Israel parliamentary friendship group, led the delegation’s first trip to Jerusalem this week. (Read more)

4. Opposition wins seat on critical judicial panel after high-stakes drama in Knesset - Israel Hayom
Israeli lawmakers' scheduled vote on two members of the Judicial Selection Committee has caused a political crisis after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Likud proposed to have MKs forgo voting for the next month and said all Coalition candidates for the secret ballot should be withdrawn and that if the vote is held – to oppose all candidates that would remain.
Eventually, after hours in which it appeared that the vote might be scrapped altogether, the secret ballots were counted and to the surprise of many, the Opposition won a seat on the committee – which determines which justices get appointed – thanks to defections from Netanyahu's governing Coalition. The second open seat on the panel did not get the necessary quorum, and therefore the Knesset will have another vote in a month's time.
The victory for the Opposition, which saw Yesh Atid MK Karine Elharrar get the lucrative spot and potentially help derail the judicial reform advanced by Netanyahu's government, put off another potential clash over the overhaul of the justice system, which has torn Israel apart over the past several months. This was made possible thanks to Netanyahu's allies essentially defecting in the secret ballot and defying his wish to boycott the candidates and force a delay on filling the two seats. (Read more)

5. Eight injured in collision during police chase on Highway 60 - Israel National News
Unusual incident: Eight people were injured, including a girl in serious condition and two people in their 20s in moderate condition, in an accident that occurred overnight Wednesday on Highway 60 near Kochav Yaakov, during a police pursuit of suspected thieves.
The police stated that "a short time ago, patrol officers from the Ma'ale Adumim station identified a vehicle carrying a motorcycle suspected of being stolen and called on the driver to stop. In response, the driver of the vehicle began to accelerate in an attempt to flee from the officers."
The statement added that the police began pursuing the fleeing vehicle, during which a collision occurred between the police vehicle and a civilian vehicle and, as a result, several of the passengers in the vehicle were injured. Two police officers suffered light injuries as well. (Read more)

1. Virginia Parents Call To Defund Public Library Over ‘Pornographic’ Children’s Books At County Board Meeting - The Daily Wire
Hundreds of Catholic parents and others packed into a Warren County, Virginia, Board of Supervisors meeting last week to protest dozens of children’s books in the Front Royal public library they say contain inappropriate sexual content.
Nearly three dozen speakers called for defunding the Samuels Public Library in Front Royal if a list of 34 “pornographic” children’s books remain on the shelves.
Many parents from the area’s robust Catholic community spoke during the public comment portion of the June 6 board meeting.
“This is not literature. This is smut,” one Front Royal dad told the board after reading an excerpt about anal sex from a book, titled “This Book Is Gay.” A mom told the board that “sexually explicit content read during the wrong stage of development can do so much damage to a child’s psyche.” (Read more)

2. Biden takes heat for violating U.S. Flag Code with Pride flag display - The Washington Times
The Biden administration is taking heat for its Pride Month display over the weekend, with critics complaining that the White House violated the U.S. Flag Code in its display of the rainbow-colored Pride flag.
President Biden celebrated the LGTBQ community over the weekend at an event on the White House Lawn with singers and speakers representing LGBTQ causes. As part of the celebration, the administration hung a Pride flag from the center of the side of the White House that faces the South Lawn flanked by two American flags.
Critics complained that the display violated U.S. Flag Code Section 7(e), which requires the American flag to be in the center of any display featuring multiple flags or pennants.

3. California Bill Would Classify Not Affirming Child’s Transgenderism As ‘Child Abuse’ - The Daily Wire
A recently amended California bill would classify not affirming a child’s gender identity by one or both parents as “child abuse.”
AB 957 was introduced into the California legislature by Assemblymember Lori Wilson (D-Suisun City) and state Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco). The bill rewrites much of the state’s family law and classifies “a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity as part of the health, safety, and welfare of the child.”
The bill amends Section 3011 of the Family Code, which deals with child custody disputes, and requires that a court determining the “best interests” of the child must consider affirmation of transgender identity. If a parent were to deny the child’s “gender identity,” it would be a violation of the child’s health, safety, and welfare — equivalent to child abuse. (Read more)

4. Burisma Founder Mykola Zlochevsky, Who Allegedly Bribed Joe and Hunter Biden, Is an SVR Asset - Red State
Burisma Holdings founder Mykola Zlochevsky, who allegedly paid a total of $10 million in bribes to Joe and Hunter Biden in 2015 and 2016 in exchange for then-Vice President Joe Biden’s assistance in getting Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired, is believed to be an asset of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) by the United States intelligence community, according to a national security source speaking to RedState on condition of anonymity. The official said:
“The US intelligence community has a high degree of confidence in their assessment of Zlochevsky as SVR. This is not a new assessment; the intelligence community under Obama knew this, and Obama was briefed on it. Joe Biden and Victoria Nuland were briefed as well.”
In a June 2021 RedState exclusive story about the defection of Chinese counterintelligence official Dong Jingwei, it was reported that among the “terabytes” of data Jingwei brought with him to the United States was information related to “details of meetings US government officials had (perhaps unwittingly) with Chinese spies and members of Russia’s SVR.” (Read more)

5. Trump responds to Bill Barr going all in on the indictment - The Right Scoop
Today Bill Barr went all in on Trump being charged under the Espionage Act, telling Fox News that he feels those counts in indictment are ‘solid’: "I think the counts under the Espionage Act ... are solid counts ... If even half of it is true, then he's toast. It's a very detailed indictment, and it's very, very damning."
He also claimed this is not a witch hunt and it’s ridiculous for anyone to suggest it is.

6. Federal Reserve maintains interest rates after 10 straight hikes to combat inflation - Just The News
The Federal Reserve Bank on Wednesday maintained interest rates at the range of 5%-5.25% after having raised rates 10 times straight in an effort to combat inflation.
The Fed said it may raise interest rates again this year, as inflation showed an increase in May of 4% compared to what it was a year ago at this time, which is twice the target rate.
"Holding the target range steady at this meeting allows the Committee to assess additional information and its implications for monetary policy," the Fed said.
The bank also expressed confidence in the banking system after three major U.S. bank collapses this year. (Read more)

7. ‘Catastrophic Consequences’: Top US Grid Official Sounds The Alarm On Coal And Gas Power Plant Closures - The Daily Caller
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Commissioner Mark Christie warned of the potential for “catastrophic consequences” for the reliability of the American power grid if the U.S. does not stop phasing out fossil fuel infrastructure before renewable infrastructure is capable of replacing its output.
Christie made the remarks as part of his testimony at a Tuesday hearing held by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. “I think we’re heading for potentially very dire consequences, potentially catastrophic consequences in the United States in terms of the reliability of our grid, and I think that the basic reason is that we’re facing a shortfall of power supply,” Christie testified.
The stark warning from one of the federal government’s top energy regulators comes as the Biden administration continues to clamp down on fossil fuel production and infrastructure. President Trump has raised $7 million for his 2024 presidential election campaign since being criminally charged by President Biden’s Department of Justice for allegedly mishandling classified documents.

This nation has utterly gone mad. Instagram connecting a pedophile network. People protesting because children’s hospitals in Texas will not offer child gender modification. NIKE offering a whole new line of gender-affirming children’s clothing and conducting seminars across the country with admitted “queer” doctors that brag about child breast and genital removal. The governor of Arizona vetoing a bill that makes it illegal to film pornography in government buildings, such as middle schools. The Southern Poverty Law Center targeting parents’ rights groups as hate and anti-government groups.” Wake up America. These leftists, supported by Democratic Party politicians, are coming after your kids.
The list goes on and on. The Biden Administration is actively seeking to overturn or defeat laws in the states that protect children from this trend of horror. It’s like there is this political force that has decided the only way to stay in office is to call good evil and evil good. And what about the corporations that are carrying the child predator mantra for the crazies in government? If you boycotted all of them, you wouldn’t be able to buy anything. It’s almost like the LGBTQ+++ juggernaut is the Beast in Revelation where you can’t buy or sell unless you have the mark of the Beast or the number of his name. Abraham Accords special envoy bill passes US House

Reflecting the broad, bipartisan nature of political support for the Abraham Accords, the Special Envoy for the Abraham Accords Act passed in the House of Representatives with a vote of 413-13. It now heads to the Senate.
The bill calls for the creation of a position that would report to the secretary of state and require extensive experience in Middle East diplomacy and an in-depth understanding of both Jewish and Muslim cultures. Dan Shapiro, the former U.S. ambassador to Israel, is reportedly under consideration.
“The addition of a special envoy will be critical for bringing Saudi Arabia into the accords and continuing to strengthen and expand them,” statedRep. Heavenly Father, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the peace of Israel and all her people. Jesus, you are the Prince of Peace and the only one who can bring true and lasting peace to all nations. We pray for Israel, Saudi Arabia, and all the sons of Ishmael. Lord, you have blessed all the descendants of Abraham.
We pray that genuine peace will come to Israel and all her surrounding nations. Lord, we know your word regarding these nations: “Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’” (Ezekiel 38:13).
We pray the merchants of Tarshish will not come to take plunder in Israel. Lord, bring your salvation to Israel and the sons of Ishmael. May they all come to know Jesus and the eternal inheritance He has for them, in Jesus’ name.

W.H.O. To Take Away U.S. National Sovereignty

We recently sent you two reports by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann from the World Health Assembly held in Geneva, Switzerland. They were quite disconcerting, to say the least. The 194 nations represented at the meeting of the W.H.O. (World Health Organization) are set to surrender their individual national sovereignties. “Preposterous,” you say. Well, find out exactly what the “Global Pandemic Accord” is… along with its 307 amendments. (Just in case you have never seen those 307 amendments, you are not alone. Neither have the delegates to the World Health Assembly. That is how clandestine this is.)
View Congresswoman Bachmann’s latest report here: Now back to the W.H.O., the World Health Assembly and its documents. What is the “Global Pandemic Accord?” Well, for starters, it is called (by Biden and others) an “accord?” Why? If it were correctly called a “treaty,” which it is, it would have to be approved by the U.S. Senate. But by calling it an “accord,” the globalist artfully avoid needing U.S. Senate approval. They have done a run-around our U.S. Constitution.
The “Global Pandemic Accord” will officially begin in approximately one year. What does it grant? The W.H.O. will direct all issues pertaining to any pandemic, on a global scale. It will preempt any national governments exercising authority over their own nations.
What is a “pandemic?” Good question. I am glad you asedk. A “pandemic” is anything the W.H.O. says it is. Thus, “climate change” is a pandemic. (Are you starting to get the picture? Listen to what John Kerry said when he spoke at the World Health Assembly, essentially that all health problems are caused by climate change.)
What else qualifies as a “pandemic?” Answer: guns. Now you see where this dictatorial movement is leading.
Anything else? Where the most bizarre one I have read about is an “infodemic.” You read that right, an “infodemic.” What is that? It is a “pandemic” of misinformation and disinformation. And who might decide what defines “misinformation” or “disinformation?” I suspect you can guess the answer to that.

After his arraignment in a Miami federal court yesterday, Donald Trump did a very Trumpian thing -- he immediately left the courthouse and went out to meet the American people.
He stopped at a famous Cuban cafe, the Versailles Restaurant, and a celebration broke out. People there sang “Happy Birthday” to Trump, whose birthday is appropriately today -- Flag Day, and he bought lunch for the whole restaurant.
Maybe Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is well-liked in Florida, could get that kind of a reception, but I doubt any other presidential candidate would.
Last night, Trump spoke at his estate in Bedminster, New Jersey, and warned about the damaging direction this hyper-politicized prosecution was taking our country. Trump said:
“We have a nation in serious decline. If the communists get away with this, it won’t stop with me. They will not hesitate to ramp up their persecution of Christians, pro-life activists, parents attending school board meetings, and even future Republican candidates. . .
“We must end it permanently, and we must end it immediately. . . The seal is broken by what they’ve done. They should have never done this.”
You don’t have to like Donald Trump to appreciate the gravity of this unprecedented political persecution. As we have repeatedly noted, the intolerant neo-Marxist left, which despises free speech and religious liberty, is increasingly criminalizing normal values and punishing faith.
But if this is the road they are determined to travel, there will be repercussions and reprisals. As Sen. Marco Rubio put it:
“You think this ends here? The next Republican president is going to be under tremendous pressure to bring charges and indict Joe Biden, his family, his crackhead son, whoever. The pressure is going to be extraordinary.”

Scientists previously discovered that water is stored inside mantle rock in a sponge-like state, which isn’t a liquid, solid or a gas, but instead a fourth state.

Years later, they are proud homeschooling parents to 12 kids and can’t imagine life without them. Washington-born stay-at-home mom Carly Bojczuk, 40, is married to her high school sweetheart, Illinois-born David Bojczuk, 42, pastor of Cartersville Outreach Ministry and deputy chaplain of the local jail.
