UN Security Council adopts a cease-fire resolution aimed at ending Israel-Hamas war in Gaza

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council on Monday overwhelmingly approved its first resolution endorsing a cease-fire plan aimed at ending the eight-month war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

The U.S.-sponsored resolution welcomes a cease-fire proposal announced by President Joe Biden that the United States says Israel has accepted. It calls on the militant Palestinian group Hamas to accept the three-phase plan.

The resolution — which was approved with 14 of the 15 Security Council members voting in favor and Russia abstaining — calls on Israel and Hamas “to fully implement its terms without delay and without condition.”

Whether Israel and Hamas agree to go forward with the plan remains in question, but the resolution’s strong support in the U.N.’s most powerful body puts added pressure on both parties to approve the proposal.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was in Israel on Monday, where he urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept the plan for postwar Gaza as he pushed for more international pressure on Hamas to agree to the cease-fire proposal. Netanyahu has been skeptical of the deal, saying that Israel is still committed to destroying Hamas. (AP) Read more here.

- Lord God, we come against the spirits behind antisemitism, division, strife, and hatred towards fellow brothers and sisters, and we bind it and we break its powers right now in the name of Jesus. We loose your love Lord, over our Jewish brothers and sisters, and over every race, and every creed that we would all treat one another with love and respect , because we all come from the same source which is you Father! In Jesus name amen.

- “Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!” (Hebrews 12:9)

- "I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land."  (Joel 3:2)

GOP releases Jan. 6 clip of Pelosi saying 'I take responsibility' as she discussed National Guard absence

A previously unreleased video taken on Jan. 6, 2021 shows then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., saying she takes "responsibility" for law enforcement's lack of preparedness when a mob stormed the U.S. Capitol that day.

A tweet on X by a House Republican panel contains video that appears to show a frustrated Pelosi being evacuated from the Capitol complex and in intense conversation with Chief of Staff Terri McCullough about how the evacuation was conducted.

"We have responsibility, Terri. We did not have any accountability for what was going on there. And we should have," Pelosi says in the video, which was reviewed in its original form by Fox News Digital. "This is ridiculous. You’re going to ask me in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached…that, should we call the Capitol Police? I mean the National Guard? Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?"

Her aide appeared to reply that Capitol security did believe they were prepared, to which Pelosi continued, "They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepared for more."

Pelosi then appears to take a shot at former President Trump's supporters, who ransacked part of the Capitol including her office.

"It’s stupid that we should be in a situation like this, because they thought they had what- they thought these people would act civilized? They thought these people would give a damn?" Pelosi said. "What is it that is missing here in terms of anticipation? They give us a piece of paper that says walk through the tunnel, don’t walk outside. That’s your preparation?"

When reached for comment on the video, a spokesperson for Pelosi told Fox News Digital, "Numerous independent fact-checkers have confirmed again and again that Speaker Pelosi did not plan her own assassination on January 6th." (Fox News) Read more

- Oh Lord, our hearts cry out for justice in this situation! There was so much blame placed on other individuals and so many have suffered due to the negligence, the lies, and injustice of Jan 6th. We pray that those that are truly responsible would be held accountable. We thank you that evil will not go unpunished and your righteousness will rule and reign forever. Amen.

European voters reject socialism, far-left policies in EU Parliament elections: 'Political earthquake'
Experts say the EU election results should put the Biden White House on notice

The results of the European Parliament elections saw voters – in Germany and France, especially – largely reject socialism and left-wing policies.

Experts who weighed in on the election told Fox News Digital the results should put President Biden's administration on notice. Both European and American voters largely care about the same issues, namely mass migration and border security, they said, and the EU elections showed voters taking a stand against leftist agendas that have come to rise on both sides of the Atlantic.

"Firstly, the elections were a political earthquake in Europe," Dr. Nile Gardiner, director of conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation's Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom, told Fox News Digital. "They were a massive rejection of open borders, mass migration, the far left, green agenda that is being pushed by many European governments. It was also a statement against a growing centralization also of the European Union. And it was an emphatic, euroskeptic, vote in many, many European countries. And so, voters across Europe rejected the ruling socialist or progressive liberal elites from Germany to France to Spain … to Belgium, to the Netherlands. And so this was one of the most significant electoral outcomes in recent European history."

"I think the Biden White House should be very nervous about what's happening across the Atlantic because Europeans are voting on exactly the same issues American voters are voting on as well. The biggest single issue in Europe right now is mass migration and the lack of border security. It's the number one issue in America," Gardiner said. "What you saw in Europe is an effective rejection of liberal left-wing ruling elites, exemplified, of course, by the Biden White House. And so Biden is very similar to Chancellor Schultz in Germany, very similar to Emmanual Macron in France. Biden is a, you know, liberal, progressive, elitist, out of touch with the vast majority of ordinary people. And so, Joe Biden should be a very nervous man right now watching what's happening in Europe."

In Germany, the governing coalition – Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Social Democrats – fell into third place behind the main conservative bloc, which came out on top, and the country's far-right party, Alternative for Germany, or AfD, which came in second place. (Fox News)

Please note: this conservative, anti-immigrant trend seems to be holding in other
elections in "smaller" European nations, including Ireland. Please go here to read the details. (Votes were still being counted when these reports were posted.)

- Lord God, we thank you that the peoples voices were heard in Europe. We thank you that this is causing national, world news. We pray that other leaders would take note at what the people want and implement the same things in their own countries. And we also pray Lord, that this is a sign of encouragement to others currently suffering in their countries that there is hope for their environment and for their country. We just cover all nations right now and the blood of Jesus that your righteousness and justice will reign in Jesus name amen.

His eyes keep watch on the nations;
Let not the rebellious exalt themselves."

Hunter Biden found guilty on all counts in gun trial
Hunter Biden was flanked by family members and allies throughout the trial

WILMINGTON, Del. – First son Hunter Biden was found guilty on all charges in his historic criminal case focused on his purchase of a firearm in 2018.

The jury deliberated for a total of three hours between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

Hunter Biden was found guilty of making a false statement in the purchase of a gun, making a false statement related to information required to be kept by a federally licensed gun dealer, and possession of a gun by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.

"I am more grateful today for the love and support I experienced this last week from Melissa, my family, my friends, and my community than I am disappointed by the outcome. Recovery is possible by the grace of God, and I am blessed to experience that gift one day at a time," Hunter Biden said in a statement following the verdict.

Hunter Biden's trial this month lasted about six and a half days and included emotional testimony from members of his family, including daughter Naomi Biden, ex-wife Kathleen Buhle and sister-in-law turned girlfriend Hallie Biden.

Prosecutors worked to prove that Hunter Biden lied on a federal firearm form, known as ATF Form 4473, in October 2018 when he ticked a box labeled "No" when asked if he is an unlawful user of a firearm or addicted to controlled substances. Hunter Biden purchased the gun from a store called StarQuest Shooters & Survival Supply in Wilmington.

He pleaded not guilty in the case. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father, it sounds like this young man is needing a time of repentance before the Most High King.  We pray that he will have the time and space to find You as his Lord and Savior and walk in the freedom that comes from repentance, salvation and sonship, in Jesus name.  We thank You for what seems to be an honest verdict and trial and we pray that all truth will come pouring forth, in Jesus name.  We call for a gutting open of the family secrets and pray, Jesus, that You will use the exposure for good for the people and even the nation, for the glory of God.

- "'For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?  For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.'"  (Luke 9:25-26)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israeli forces conclude 18-hour counterterror op in Samaria - JNS

Israeli security forces on Monday completed an 18-hour counterterror raid in the al-Fari’ah camp in the foothills of the Jordan Valley, arresting eight suspects and killing another, the Israel Defense Forces announced.

The operation in al-Fari’ah, located east of Nablus (Shechem), included troops of the IDF’s Duchifat and Lions of the Jordan Valley Battalions and the elite unit Duvdevan, as well as Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) officers. No Israeli casualties were reported in the operation.

As part of the raid, the forces discovered and destroyed an explosives laboratory where more than 80 bombs were found, according to the IDF (Read more)

2. Blinken announces more than $400 million in humanitarian aid to Palestinians - Jerusalem Post

US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken announced an additional $404 million in new aid to Palestinians, while attending the “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” Conference in Jordan on Tuesday.

This is in addition to “the more than $1.8 billion in development, economic, and humanitarian aid that the United States has provided since 2021”, as “the largest single country provider of assistance for Palestinians,” Blinken noted.

In this speech, Blinken said that the only thing that stands in the way of the hostage release and ceasefire deal happening is Hamas.

He then urged the audience of Arab leaders to pressure Hamas to agree to the proposed deal. (Read more)

3. Report: New development could let soldiers intercept missiles with guns - Israel Hayom

As small, unmanned drones become increasingly prevalent on modern battlefields, dropping explosives and conducting surveillance, a US defense startup believes it has a innovative solution to counter this aerial threat. ZeroMark is developing a system designed to transform soldiers' standard rifles into portable anti-drone weapons, according to a recent report from WIRED magazine.

The company's approach involves integrating software and hardware components onto existing infantry rifles. A sensor mounted near the barrel works with an actuator in the stock or foregrip to make minor adjustments to the soldier's aim when tracking a hostile drone. "We use lidar and electro-optical sensors to detect, classify, and monitor the drones," ZeroMark CEO Joel Anderson told WIRED. "Then our system calculates precise factors like bullet drop, trajectory, and wind compensation – complex ballistics that are very difficult for a human to correctly account for."

By taking these complex calculations out of the soldier's hands, ZeroMark aims to significantly increase the probability of successfully shooting down an evasive, high-speed drone with standard rifle fire. "For a computer, determining the exact point where the shot must intersect the drone's flight path is pretty easy," Anderson explained to WIRED. "So when the soldier pulls the trigger, there's a high likelihood of a hit." (Read more)

4. During Shavuot celebrations: At least 15 rockets fired towards Kiryat Shmona - Israel National News

Sirens were sounded on Tuesday evening in the city of Kiryat Shmona and in nearby localities.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that approximately 15 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon.

Some of the projectiles were successfully intercepted by the IDF Aerial Defense Array and the rest fell in open areas. No injuries were reported. (Read more)

5. NYC protesters wave terror group flags, call for intifada outside Nova massacre exhibit - Times of Israel

Anti-Israel protesters waved flags of terror groups and chanted slogans championing attacks on Israeli civilians during a chaotic demonstration outside an exhibit on the Nova festival massacre in New York City Monday.

Organized by the pro-Palestinian group Within Our Lifetime, the demonstration was dubbed “A Day of Rage for Gaza” and began with a rally at Union Square before participants headed to Wall Street where the exhibit has been set up since April.

“Long live the intifada,” protesters could be heard chanting in video from the demonstration. “Resistance is justified where people are occupied.” (Read more

1. Tide Turns as State Supreme Court Backs GOP Governor on Removal of Soros-Backed Prosecutor - Western Journalism

The state of Florida has finally stepped up to depose a prosecutor whose campaign for election was controversially funded by polarizing billionaire George Soros. Worse yet, that same prosecutor immediately implemented a disastrously soft-on-crime policy — not exactly a surprise with Soros-backed candidates — once he entered the prosecutor’s office.

Last year in August, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis used his powers as governor to deposeHillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren. The governor signed an executive order suspending the Tampa-based Warren, citing “neglect of duty” and “incompetence,” as his cause for removal.

Around the same time, DeSantis removedprogressive Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Monique Worrell, also citing her for “dereliction of duty.” Thursday, the Florida Supreme Court upheld the governor’s decision to suspend Worrell. The court ruled 6-1 that DeSantis had the right to chuck Worrell out of a job, according to National Review.

- Yes and amen! We thank You Father for opening wide the gates for righteousness in the Florida judicial system.  May this be the first state of many that will take action against those who are undermining our security, justice and sovereignty, in Jesus name.  We rebuke every plan of George Soros to release corruption and cowardice into this nation and we bind his minions in the judicial arena of our country, in Jesus name.  We pray for strong leaders who will continue to take action to protect this land and bless Ron DeSantis, in Jesus name.

- "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.  Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength."  (Proverbs 8:13-14)

2. Ex-New York Gov Andrew Cuomo to face House GOP committee over COVID nursing home deaths - Fox News

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is paying a visit to Capitol Hill on Tuesday for a closed-door transcribed interview with the House select subcommittee investigating the coronavirus pandemic.

Cuomo's handling of the pandemic as governor has been a significant focus of the panel's – in particular, a March 25, 2020, executive order by the then-governor that restricted nursing homes from refusing to admit or readmit residents "solely based on confirmed or suspect[ed] diagnosis of COVID-19."

"We want to uncover the circumstances that led to this. There has to be some kind of process where this was written up and he signed it. And we want to make sure that something like this is never repeated," subcommittee Chair Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, told Fox News Digital. "I'm a physician who happens to care. And I'm concerned for my fellow Americans, especially during a very difficult time in a pandemic. So, who advised such things?" (Read more)

- Loving Father, the evil and cruelty that we all witnessed in New York that then spread across the country was a gut-wrenching insanity that we repent for as both a nation and individually.  So many families were devastated by this horrible, fear-inciting nightmare against our old ones and citizens in general, that we pray for a heavenly release of forgiveness into this land.  We pray that people everywhere can begin to forgive and find healing despite the appalling misery that we witnessed day and night in this land.  Father, forgive us and heal us, in Jesus name and we pray for those who fomented and prospered from the crushing of humanity to repent and be brought to justice, in Jesus mighty name.  Amen.

"A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, But he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.  A man burdened with bloodshed will flee into a pit; Let no one help him.  Whoever walks blamelessly will be saved.  But he who is perverse in his ways will suddenly fall."  (Proverbs 28:16-18)

3. Anti-Israel protesters light flares by NYC exhibit for Oct. 7 music festival victims: 'Long Live the Intifada' - Fox News

Anti-Israel demonstrators were observed Monday night outside the Nova Music Festival Exhibition in New York City that memorializes the victims of Hamas' Oct. 7 attack. Protesters clashed with police during the rally outside the exhibit during what the protesters called a "citywide day of rage for Gaza," video of the incident shows.

The two sides were seen at one point in an angry exchange when officers ordered the protesters to move outside the barriers lining the street.

The demonstrators were heard chanting "Long Live the Intifada" and "Israel go to hell. There is only one solution, Intifada revolution," the protesters also chanted. They were also seen lighting a red flare, but police instructed them to put it out. (Read more)

- Mighty King, we renounce this rage and all witchcraft emboldening it, in Jesus name.  We pray for these people, who know not what they are doing, to encounter the Holy One of Israel face to face, in Jesus name.  We declare that this nation supports, defends and stands with Israel in the mighty name of Jesus and will not back down in the face of threats and anarchy, but rather speaks the truth in love, stands firm against the wiles of the devil and prays always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, for the glory of God.

- "But He answered and said, 'Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.  Let them alone.  They are blind leaders of the blind.  And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.'"  (Matthew 15:13-14)

4. Supreme Court's Alito appears to back US return to 'godliness' in secret recording — AOL News

Conservative U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito in a secret recording made public on Monday by a liberal activist can be heard agreeing with the sentiment that the U.S. should return "to a place of godliness." Reuters could not independently verify the authenticity of the recording that activist Lauren Windsor posted on social media and provided to the media outlet Rolling Stone.

A spokesperson for the Supreme Court declined to comment. A Rolling Stone spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

In response to questions from Reuters, Windsor said in an email that she attended the June 3 Supreme Court Historical Society’s annual dinner as a dues-paying member, posed as a conservative Christian and approached Alito and asked him about how the country could become less politically polarized before she turned to religion.

In the recording, she said: "I think that the solution really is like winning the moral argument. Like, people in this country who believe in God have got to keep fighting for that, to return our country to a place of godliness." (Read more)

- Holy One, it is clear that a return to a place of godliness would also cause people to do the right thing because it is the right thing to do, whether following the law, speaking truth, walking in integrity.  We pray for a restoration of this character to become a part of the moral fiber of our culture once again, in Jesus name. We forgive the person who made and published the recording, and pray that she would repent and come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, in Jesus name.

- "'Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,'"  (Acts 3:19)

5. Judge Cannon Rejects Trump Request in Classified Documents Case - The Epoch Times

The federal judge overseeing one of the criminal cases against former President Donald Trump on June 10 rejected the former president’s bid to throw out some charges against him, although she ordered one paragraph struck from the superseding indictment in the case.

Along with his codefendants, former President Trump argued that the superseding indictment, which brought the obstruction charges he is facing, failed to state an offense and should be dismissed. Special counsel Jack Smith and his team disagreed, asserting that the charging document was “more than sufficient” under the law.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, the judge overseeing the case in a Florida federal court, sided mostly with the government. Judge Cannon said there were issues with the indictment but that the issues did not rise to the level of dismissing the additional charges. (Read more)

-Thank You Jesus for a judge that seems to be walking in integrity, making every effort to assess all evidence and pleadings along the way and making a fair judgment, rather than being a rubber-stamp for those who are often behind the scenes in court cases involving President Trump.  We bless her and ask that she continues to judge rightly and that You will lead and guide her and this entire matter will be properly adjudicated, in Jesus name.

- "As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him; He is excellent in power, In judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress.  Therefore men fear Him; He shows no partiality to any who are wise of heart.'"  (Job 37:23-24)

6. Appeals Court Upholds Ban on Student Wearing ‘Only Two Genders’ Shirt - The Epoch Times

A U.S. appeals court on June 9 upheld a ban preventing a Massachusetts middle school student from wearing a shirt reading “There are only two genders.”

Another prohibition by school administrators, this time blocking the same student from wearing the shirt with “only two” covered by tape, on which was written “censored,” is also allowed under court precedent, according to the ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

“The question here is not whether the t-shirts should have been barred. The question is who should decide whether to bar them—educators or federal judges. Based on Tinker, the cases applying it, and the specific record here, we cannot say that in this instance the Constitution assigns the sensitive (and potentially consequential) judgment about what would make ‘an environment conducive to learning’ at NMS to us rather than to the educators closest to the scene,” U.S. Circuit Judge David Barron wrote for a unanimous panel of the court. (Read more)

- Mighty God, we pray for the Spirit of the living God to descend upon Massachusetts and especially upon their schools.  Would You reveal Your power, Your glory, Your might to the educators, parents and all others involved, in Jesus Holy Name.  May there be an outcry for Godly righteousness and light to come into the schools of this state and may there be a re-establishment of Constitutional government in this place, granting and protecting free (and religious) speech, in Jesus name.  We ask You Father, to cover this student and his family and all who are standing in agreement with them; may any who would harass or harm them encounter the presence of God instead and fall to their knees, declaring Jesus Christ is Lord.

" . . . work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."  (Philippians 3:12c-13)

The Problem With Hate Speech

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 11, 2024

Google recently blacklisted from its app store PragerU for hate speech. Prager University Foundation is a 501(c)(3) educational organization that offers a free alternative to the dominant left-wing ideology in culture, media, and education. In its suspension notice, Google said, ”Your app contains content that doesn’t comply with the Hate Speech policy. Your app contains content related to the following violations: Content or speech asserting that a protected group is inhuman, inferior or worthy of being hated.” The controversy is swirling around a video that tells the stories of an Arab Muslim born in Israel and US Navy SEALS who witnessed Muslim extremism. That’s the stated reason, but it goes far deeper than that.

Hate speech is defined by many sources similar to this found in Britannica “hate speech: speech or expression that denigrates a person or persons on the basis of (alleged) membership in a social group identified by attributes such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, physical or mental disability, and others.” By definition, if one remotely offers criticism of anyone involved in most any group, it could be considered hate speech. If, for example, one quotes passages in the Bible concerning homosexuality or deviant sexual behavior, it is considered hate speech. If, in the case of PragerU, someone is criticizing Islamic extremism (even terrorists), Google considers it hate speech because the terrorists are part of a religious group. So criticizing Hamas is hate speech because they are Muslim and a “social group.” Get it? Read More

Malawi vice-president and nine others killed in plane crash

Malawi’s vice-president, Saulos Chilima, and nine other people have been killed in a plane crash, the country’s president, Lazarus Chakwera, said in a live televised address.

The wreckage of the military plane carrying Chilima and the former first lady Shanil Dzimbiri to a funeral of an ex-minister on Monday was found on a hillside in the Chikangawa forest, a mountainous area in the north of the country.

Air traffic controllers had told the plane not to attempt a landing at an airport in the northern city of Mzuzu owing to bad weather and to turn back to the capital, Lilongwe. Contact was then lost and the plane disappeared from the radar. Seven passengers and three crew members were onboard.

“Words cannot describe how heartbreaking this is and I can only imagine how much pain and anguish you may all must be having at this point in time,” Chakwera said in his address.

He described Chilima as “a good man, a devoted father and husband, a patriotic citizen who served his country with distinction, and a formidable vice-president.

“I consider it one of my greatest honours to be deputised by him in the last years,” Chakwera said.

The US embassy had offered the use of an aircraft in the search for the plane, which involved about 600 troops, police and forest rangers. Chakwera said on Monday that Israel, Norway and the UK had also offered help. (Read more)

- Father God, only You know the truth behind the cause of this plane crash, but we do know that many in Malawi today are grieving the loss of their Vice-President. We ask for Your hand of comfort to rest today upon all those who mourn; and for the facts of this crash to be made known soon. In Your Name, Abba Father God, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
Tragic Loss in Rafah

The release of the hostages over the weekend was a great piece of news, challenging the narratives pushed by the mainstream media that Israel's military actions are not effective in freeing the hostages in Gaza. Israel was celebrating this incredible milestone, but today we received tragic news.

This morning, four IDF soldiers were killed, and six others were wounded in an explosion in Rafah. Maj. Tal Pshebilski Shaulov, 24, from Gedera, St.-Sgt. Eitan Karlsbrun, 20, from Modi'in, Sgt. Yair Levin, 20, from Givat Harel, and Sgt. Almog Shalom, 19, from Kibbutz Hamadia lost their lives in a building collapse in the Al-Bura neighborhood of Rafah, an area known for its terrorist shafts, booby-trapped houses, and extensive weapon caches. In the same incident, six other soldiers sustained injuries, including an officer who was seriously injured.

The incident occurred during a joint operation with the Nahal Brigade. Givati Soldiers entered a three-story building and deployed a concussive charge intended to trigger any hidden IEDs. Tragically, the explosion that followed after the soldiers entered caused the building to collapse, resulting in these heartbreaking losses. May their memory be a blessing.

As we mourn these heroes, we recognize the immense price of this war for our people. The situation in Israel remains incredibly challenging. During these difficult times, Zaka Tel-Aviv continues to provide essential support, emergency services, and preparedness training for the people of Israel. Your support helps us continue our vital work.

Thank you for standing with us. Your solidarity and support are essential as we navigate these difficult times.

A Prayer Request for The Daily Brief!
Dear Friends,

The time has come to open the door and allow you all to view what has been happening around here lately.

In short, we seem to have entered into a time of intense spiritual warfare! Satan is now doing all he can, by way of several clever strategies, to shut us down completely.

WE WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN!

With the support of all of you in prayer, we believe that we CAN obliterate his strategies and return to the "smooth sailing" we have always enjoyed over the past 30 years, as our editorial team joins hands and hearts to hear our Lord, to identify key topics for prayer, and to know His will as we cover those topics in intercession, decreeing the Word of God over each one!

For now, I do want to share one example with you of the chaos we are now facing in publishing the Brief almost each day.

On Monday night (while I was hosting our national call), our "Israel editor," Michelle, was desperately trying to send out her five prayer requests for that day. No matter how many times she tried to reach us, she kept getting a "security alert" that bounced her material back to her. She tried to use an alternate browser and, after FOUR TIMES, she finally got through!

THANK YOU, MICHELLE!

We have since been in touch with her and have learned that, when she pulled one article of a more sensitive nature, the "rejection notice" stopped and she gained the victory!

Michelle is not alone. By now, there have been several similar examples of these struggles, so we need to "go higher" and invite ALL OF YOU to join us in prayer to see that these wicked strategies of the enemy FAIL.

Here, then, are four prayer points for united intercession:

1. After we repent, we ask our Lord to release His angels to "stand guard" over each issue, so that we can freely send these prayer requests to you.
"For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)

2. Ask our Lord to release His strategies and wisdom over each of our editors so that, when they hit a roadblock, they will know how to bypass each problem and reach you!
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
(James 1:5)

3. (This is important!) Please join us in forgiving our enemies, for they know not what they do! Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34)

4. Finally, on a personal note, please ask our Lord to bless each editor with an extra measure of GRACE to meet each challenge, that we might continue to flow in the joy of the Lord as we pursue our mission. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)

We are so grateful you are all there!

Joining together AS ONE in this battle!

In His Glorious Name,

Sara Ballenger, Senior Editor

"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.

2024 Milky Way Photography Brings the Most Dazzling Photos of Our Galaxy—Every Image Has a Story to Tell

It’s peak Milky Way season and all over the world astrophotographers are clamoring to capture magical shots of our galaxy.

Every year in late May, travel photography blog Capture the Atlas releases its collection of the 25 best new photos of the Milky Way. In 2024, the seventh edition of the compilation features mesmerizing images taken in far-flung locations in 15 countries. Each photograph on the list, selected from more than 5,000 overall entries, has its own unique story.

Viewing the Milky Way with maximum clarity requires a dark sky free from light pollution. All 25 photographers—representing 19 different nationalities—undertook special trips to achieve their shots; many braving cold temperatures at high altitudes and some even camping out for days. One thing each has in common, regardless of the place they traveled to, is the profoundly unforgettable experience they had witnessing the beauty of the Milky Way.

When curating the images, Capture the Atlas editor Dan Zafra assesses the quality of the image, the story behind the shot, and the overall inspiration it offers. Here are this year’s 25 best photographs that captured our grand galaxy in all its glory from 15 countries: the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Egypt, Oman, Yemen, and Jordan. 'Seeing God Do Miracles': Rebecca St. James

on the Power of Prayer, Trusting in the Lord
Singer Rebecca St. James has very literally seen God perform miracles. As a result, the singer believes wholeheartedly in the power of prayer to change things, a theme embedded in “Unsung Hero,” a movie about her family’s journey. The film pays homage to the incredible ways God worked in her family’s life after her parents, David and Helen Smallbone, brought their family from Australia to America after losing everything, worked hard cleaning homes and doing yard work, and eventually landed record deals for Rebecca and her brothers, Joel and Luke (For KING & COUNTRY). “It was such a dramatic time of us coming from Australia to the U.S., my dad losing everything, us living by faith, and praying, and seeing God do miracles,” St. James said. “It was a real world-changing time for our family, and it gave me a testimony.”

And St. James and her family are now sharing that testimony with the world, with “Unsung Hero” inspiring people across the U.S. and raking in over $20 million at the box office. Perhaps it’s the real-life grit captured in the film — the refusal to give up amid challenges and the trust in God that so resonates. After all, the Smallbones had nothing beyond faith and dedication. “We had no furniture in our house, we were sleeping on the floor on beds literally made out of clothes, with sheets tucked around it for a little while,” St. James said. “No car, no income, and we prayed as a family, and we saw God show up, and we saw groceries on our doorstep, and truckloads of furniture dropped at our house, and checks come in the mail, and — just miracles.” Just a few years later, St. James’ singing career started to kick off. At just 16 years old, her golden voice resonated, she was discovered, and the rest is, well, history. But despite her ascension in the music industry, the star has never forgotten where she came from and how God provided. (CBN) Read More and Watch Interview Here

A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Words & Music: Luther Bridges

Scripture: He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Psalm 40:3

Lyrics:
There’s within my heart a melody
Jesus whispers sweet and low,
Fear not, I am with thee; peace, be still,
In life’s constant ebb and flow.

Refrain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know,
Fills my every longing, keeps me singing as I go.

All my life was wrecked by sin and strife,
Discord filled my heart with pain,
Jesus swept across the broken strings,
Stirred the slumbering chords again.

Refrain

Feasting on the riches of His grace,
Resting ’neath His sheltering wing,
Always looking on His smiling face,
That is why I shout and sing.

Refrain

Though sometimes He leads through waters deep,
Trials fall across the way,
Though sometimes the path seems rough and steep,
See His footprints all the way.

Refrain

Soon He’s coming back to welcome me,
Far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown,
I shall reign with Him on high.
