Wyoming’s Teton Pass Road Collapses, Governor Declares Emergency
A large portion of a mountain road collapsed in Wyoming near the Grand Tetons tourist destination, prompting the governor to declare an emergency, officials in the state confirmed on June 8.
Photos released by the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) of the Teton Pass road show a chasm where the section of highway used to be.

“The roadway at milepost 12.8 on Teton Pass, has catastrophically failed, and a long-term closure is expected,” the state agency said in a statement, adding that officials “were working in the area to construct a detour around the damage, but the landslide continued to move, taking out the whole road.”

Etched into the mountain range, Teton Pass is the only road between Jackson, Wyoming, and Victor, Idaho, according to maps. The highway also appears to provide crucial access to the mountainous Teton County, which includes Yellowstone, Jackson, and the Grand Tetons from areas of Idaho.

“We understand this highway is a lifeline for commuters, deliveries, medical care access, and tourism, especially with limited alternatives and the summer season upon us,” WYDOT Director Darin Westby said in a statement over the weekend. “WYDOT engineers, surveyors, and geologists mobilized quickly to try to maintain highway viability as long as possible, but catastrophic failure could not be avoided.”

Mr. Westby said that his agency is currently onsite and is working to fix “the road and restoring connectivity to the Teton Valley.”

It wasn’t immediately clear how long it will take to reopen the road.

“WYDOT is now reviewing a long-term solution and repairs, and more information on planning efforts will be available soon,” WYDOT’s statement said, adding that a mudslide about two miles away on Teton Pass “breached the roadway with mud and debris, overwhelming the channeled drainage ditch and culvert.”

Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon, a Republican, signed an executive order declaring an emergency on June 8 in response to the highway collapse. His office said it would allow the state to access more resources from the federal government to start repair work.

“We are closely monitoring this ongoing situation, and Wyoming Department of Transportation personnel are working diligently to develop a long-term solution to rebuild this critical roadway,” the governor said. “I recognize the significant impacts this closure has to Teton County residents, regional commuters and the local economy.”

His declaration stipulates that “efforts to reduce further damage must begin immediately” because “current conditions affecting highway integrity and structural stability continue to deteriorate,” according to a news release. The road closure also “endangers the health, safety, economy, and resources of residents of Wyoming,” the declaration added. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

> > > Editor's note: we also ran this story yesterday under our Signs and Wonders section, but we wanted to repeat this report again today as this IS a huge disaster for this part of the country, and much prayer will be needed as the authorities seek to find ways to reopen this critical passage between Wyoming and Idaho.

- Mighty God, we ask for Your divine strategies for the WY Department of Transportation as they work to rebuild this mountain pass safely for the many people who travel these roads, particularly during the summer tourist season.  We pray that the money would not be hindered by red tape, but come through quickly.  We pray for accessible alternatives for the residents who have been cut off by this collapse and that you would make ways for them to go where they need to go easily and reasonably, in Jesus name.

Macron Calls Snap Election, Dissolves National Assembly After Defeat in EU Vote

French President Emmanuel Macron has dissolved the French National Assembly and called for a snap election as the right-wing National Rally party heads to a sweeping victory in European Union (EU) parliamentary elections.

In a video addressing the French people, Mr. Macron announced, “I have decided to give you back the choice of our parliamentary future through the vote. “I am thus dissolving the National Assembly this evening.”

The French president set the first round of elections for June 30, and the second round for July 7.

The decision comes as the National Rally Party—the party of Mr. Macron’s two-time presidential rival, Marine Le Pen—looks to be on track for a stunning rout of Mr. Macron’s Renaissance Party in the European Parliament.

According to the most recent results, Ms. Le Pen’s party is estimated to be ahead with around 31.5 percent of the vote to the Renaissance Party’s 15.2 percent. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- We praise You Father, for removing the globalist influence of President Macron, over France.  We see this nation being overrun with Islamic immigrants who are wreaking terror and assaults across the land and recognize that it is part of the globalist plan, so we give You praise, Father for this change coming forth. We pray for Your strength and wisdom for the new leadership in France as they come together to restore civility and freedom to their country, in Jesus name.

China Tightens Grip on African Media, Pushes Anti-America Messaging

JOHANNESBURG—The Chinese communist regime has annexed media spaces across Africa, severely restricting citizens’ access to fair and accurate news, while allowing Beijing to spread anti-American messaging at will, according to separate research completed by two authorities on China’s activities on the continent.

Reports from Paul Nantulya, at the Africa Center for Strategic Studies in Washington, and Joshua Eisenman, senior fellow for China studies at the American Foreign Policy Council, paint a disturbing picture of the Chinese regime’s success in spreading propaganda, misinformation, and disinformation in Africa.

The experts’ research shows that the U.S. government has done little to counter China’s dominance of African media landscapes. To the contrary, budget cuts have forced the U.S. government’s international broadcaster, Voice of America (VOA), to shutter African bureaus and severely limit reporting from staff and freelancers on the continent.

In his report, Mr. Nantulya said media controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are now “embedded” in news and information ecosystems across Africa, “distorting” the truth and limiting access to “independent information shaping citizen debates on a host of issues ranging from governance, society, and the economy.”

Mr. Nantulya’s and Mr. Eisenman’s research reveals that CCP agents have recruited hundreds of African media personnel to work at four major news outlets operating across the continent.

These are Xinhua, China Global Television Network (CGTN), China Daily, and China Radio International. Xinhua and China Radio International are both state-owned CCP official mouthpiece, while the other two outlets are controlled by the regime’s Publicity Department

The studies reveal the Chinese organizations recruit high-profile African media personalities, offering them high salaries to give its propaganda “credibility.”

Mr. Eisenman concluded that “all four receive vast state resources that allow them to cover a wealth of stories using various types of media (print, television, radio, and online) in all six United Nations languages”—Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father, we take authority over the Chinese media domination in Africa and at the same time call for a release of funds to bolster VOA and other American media voices there, instead, in Jesus name.  We pray for the voice of communism to fail and the voice of Godly media in Africa to arise and grow in strength in wisdom, in Jesus name.  We ask You Father for divine strategies to counter this opposition from the CCP.  May the African people recognize that the division put forth by the media against America is unacceptable, in Jesus name.

Benny Gantz, Member of Israel’s War Cabinet, Resigns From Netanyahu Government

JERUSALEM—Benny Gantz, a member of Israel’s three-man war Cabinet, announced his resignation on Sunday.

The move does not immediately pose a threat to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who still controls a majority coalition in parliament.

Mr. Gantz said that Mr. Netanyahu is making “total victory impossible” and that the government needs to put the return of the hostages seized on Oct. 7, 2023, by Hamas terrorists “above political survival.”

Story continues below advertisement

The former military chief joined Mr. Netanyahu’s government shortly after the Hamas attack in a show of unity. His presence also boosted Israel’s credibility with its international partners. Mr. Gantz has good working relations with U.S. officials.

Mr. Gantz had previously said he would leave the government by June 8 if Mr. Netanyahu did not formulate a new plan for postwar Gaza.

He scrapped a planned news conference Saturday night after four Israeli hostages were dramatically rescued from Gaza earlier in the day in Israel’s largest such operation since the eight-month war began. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we are saddened today to hear this news out of Israel. We ask that You
would grant Your wisdom to P.M. Netanyahu as he seeks to fill this critical position in his cabinet at this critical time. We continue to rejoice that the four hostages have now been freed; and we ask that more be found and rescued as soon as possible. In Your Name, amen and amen!

- "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

Yair Levin, a resident of the community of Givat Harel in the Binyamin region, was killed during the heroic battles in the Gaza Strip, it was cleared for publication on Monday night.

Levin, who served in the Givati Brigade, was a graduate of the Mechina in Jaffa, and previously studied at Yeshiva Ahavat Chaim in Kochav HaShachar.

The head of the Binyamin Regional Council and the chairman of the Yesha Council, Israel Ganz, eulogized him and said, "Yair, a handsome young man, one of our best, fell today in the battles in Rafah against our damned enemies in Gaza. He dreamed of enlisting in the Givati Brigade, he trained in order to be the best there is in defense of our people and our country and that's how he was." (Read more)

2. UNSC approves resolution backing hostage deal in 14-0 vote, Hamas agrees to work with mediators - Jerusalem Post

The United Nations Security Councilapproved a resolution backing US President Joe Biden’s three-phase hostage deal in a 14-0 vote, with Russia abstaining, as Hamas said it was ready to work with mediators to reach an agreement.

“Today we voted for peace,” US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield told the UNSC after the vote at UN headquarters in New York.

“Hamas can now see that the international community is united behind a deal that will save lives and help Palestinian civilians in Gaza start to rebuild and heal,” she said.

Hamas welcomed on Monday a UN Security Council resolution stating that it was ready to cooperate with mediators over implementing the principles of the plan, even though it has yet to formally accept the deal first unveiled on May 31. (Read more)

3. Gantz announces departure from wartime unity government - JNS

War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz on Sunday night announced his National Unity Party’s departure from the government set up in the aftermath of Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre and the ensuing Gaza war.

Speaking at a press conference in Ramat Gan, Gantz said, “It was an easy decision to enter the government, but the decision to leave was very difficult.”

“Unfortunately, Netanyahu is stopping us from reaching a true victory,” continued Gantz. “Therefore, we are now leaving, today, the unity government. With a heavy heart, but wholeheartedly.”

Gantz also demanded that Netanyahu do “everything he can” to advance U.S. President Joe Biden’s outline for a hostages-for-ceasefire deal with Hamas. National Unity will back “any responsible roadmap” from the opposition, vowed Gantz. (Read more)

4. Eisenkot also resigns, says war cabinet was paralyzed by outside considerations - Times of Israel

National Unity MK Gadi Eisenkot is following party leader Benny Gantz out of the coalition and giving up his spot as an observer in the war cabinet now being dismantled by the departure.

Like Gantz, Eisenkot has harsh words for the way the panel handled itself during the war in a resignation letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Despite the efforts of many, alongside those of my colleague, the cabinet you headed was prevented for a long while from making determining decisions, which were needed to realize the war’s goals and improve Israel’s strategic position,” the former IDF chief writes. (Read more)

1. Terrifying moment Air Canada flight catches fire seconds after taking off from airport as flames seen engulfing aircraft - The Sun UK

AN Air Canada flight burst into flames just moments after taking off from the runway.

The clip of the terrifying moment shows Air Canada Flight AC872 gaining altitude as it departed Toronto Pearson Airport on the evening of June 5. Viewers can see the fire seemingly come out of nowhere in the video, engulfing the aircraft's tail after a small explosion.

Witnesses on the ground could see multiple flashes of light almost immediately after the plane took off.

"Holy crap! It's got an engine fire!" one person can be heard saying in the background.

There were about 400 passengers aboard the Boeing 777 headed to Paris, France, according to a statement by Air Canada shared with local news station CP24. None of the 389 passengers aboard the flight were injured. (Read more)

- We thank you that none of these passengers were injured. We pray that investigation would reveal what caused the fire and we just pray protection over our aircraft in Jesus name!

2. Okla. gov. signs bill allowing students to leave school for religious instruction - Christian Post

A newly approved law will enable Oklahoma public school students to receive off-campus religious instruction during the school day if they choose to.

Oklahoma Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt signed House Bill 1425 into law Wednesday. The bill was passed by the Republican-controlled Legislature last month, with the Senate voting 38-7 and the House of Representatives voting 51-40.

The law authorizes school districts’ boards of education to “adopt a policy that excuses a student from school to attend a released time course for no more than three class periods per week or a maximum of one hundred twenty-five class periods per year.” (Read more)

- Lord, we thank you this House bill was signed into law allowing students to leave school for religious instruction. We pray more school districts will follow this concept.

3: Pro-Hamas Protesters Circle White House, Attack Federal Officer - Breitbart

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters — some openly supporting Hamas and other terror groups — surrounded the White House on Saturday, vandalizing a statue and assaulting a U.S. Park Police officer who tried to protect it.

The protest happened on the day Israel successfully rescued four hostages from Hamas’s clutches in a raid in Gaza.

Protesters clad in keffiyeh began gathering outside the presidential residence in Washington, D.C., Saturday morning. Their signs called on President Joe Biden to “free Palestine” and “end the siege on Gaza now.” Others stood in a line draped in a two-mile-long red banner around the White House to symbolize the “red line” Israel crossed when they began the operation in Rafah, a southern city in Gaza where many Palestinians have fled to.

At one point, U.S. Park Police were on the scene with mace to fend off protesters. They were allegedly attempting to arrest one of the protesters when the crowd began yelling at them to stop, screaming, “Let her go.” It was not immediately clear what they were attempting to arrest her in connection with. In the exchange, police sprayed mace, and it appeared they eventually let the protester go without completing the arrest.

The Examiner reported that there had been no arrests at the time of publication. (Read more)

- Lord,  we pray for peace as this conflict between Israel and Hamas continues. We pray against any violence and may no harm come to those being protested against.

- "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." (John 14:27)

4: Congressional report finds half of all new jobs are going to immigrants - Just the News

"Reports show that upwards of half the job gains under Biden have come from illegal immigrants, which belies a far weaker economy than Democrats want you to believe," committee chairman Jodey Arrington said in a statement. "Biden's illegal immigrant crisis has conveniently served as a 'two-for' - shoring up his vote tally and padding his dismal unemployment numbers."

The House Budget Committee released a report Friday that found more than half of all new jobs are going to immigrants, including those in the country illegally.

The report comes after the Labor Department released its jobs report for May, which saw a small decrease in labor participation, which shrank from 62.7% in April to 62.5% in May, and the unemployment rate ticking up slightly from 3.9% in April to 4% in May. Immigrants have filled 840,000 new jobs since November, according to the Washington Times

The House report also noted that the 4% unemployment rate meant 6.6 million people in the country were unemployed, an increase from the 6.5 million in April. The increase comes despite the country creating 272,000 new jobs in May.

"Reports show that upwards of half the job gains under Biden have come from illegal immigrants, which belies a far weaker economy than Democrats want you to believe," committee chairman Jodey Arrington said in a statement. "Biden's illegal immigrant crisis has conveniently served as a 'two-for' - shoring up his vote tally and padding his dismal unemployment numbers." (Read more)

- Lord, we pray this deception will be exposed and we have a strong voter turnout this November election to put in office those who support the American people, and puts priority on America and the American people.

- "Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens." (Exodus 18:21)

5: Transcript tampering? DOJ says written record of Biden interview with prosecutors omitted words - Just the News

Even though the Justice Department stated that the transcript was altered, it still contains some repeat and filler words.

The Justice Department admitted in a federal court document that the transcript of President Joe Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur regarding his handling of classified documents omitted some repeated words and filler words such as "um."

The Justice Department has refused to turn over the audio tapes of Biden's interview to Congress, citing concerns about "deep fake" technology that could allow the audio to be altered and presented as authentic.

"Aside from minor inconsistencies (such as repeated words or the use of filler words such as 'um'), the audio recording of the interview accurately reflects the words spoken during the interview," the Justice Department said in a court filing Friday in response to a case filed by the conservative legal watchdog Judicial Watch, as well as the Heritage Foundation and a media coalition led by CNN.

Even though the Justice Department states that the transcript has been altered, it still includes some repeated and filler words. For example, the transcript showed Biden said, "and, and" more than 20 times.

"The transcript is not accurate and was changed in a way to help Biden," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. "There is nothing ordinary about this, and the transcript inaccuracy issues seem to help Biden’s political campaign needs." (Read more)

- Lord, we intercede over this tampering of this transcript. We pray that this will backfire on the political plan of altering this transcript. That it will not help Biden in any way and will just backfire on their plans since they are being dishonest and unethical.

- "A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight." (Proverbs 11:1)
6: Israel fumes as it's added to UN ‘list of shame’ for wartime children’s rights violations - Times of Israel

 Israel, Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad have been added to the United Nations’ so-called “list of shame,” which is attached to an annual report released by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s office that documents alleged rights violations against children in armed conflict, sparking outrage in Jerusalem.

This is the first time that Israel and Hamas have been included on this list, joining the ranks of Russia, the Islamic State, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Afghanistan, Iraq, Myanmar, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.

Israel is believed to be the first democratic country included on the list. Last year, Russia was added to the list for the first time over its treatment of children in the war against Ukraine. (Read more)

- Lord, we intercede over this decision by the UN. May they change their decision and take Israel off this list. We pray favor upon Israel, and we pray You continue to lead them in all that they do.

- "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands, yes, establish the work of our hands!" (Psalm 90:17)

The Daily Jot

Are You Seen?

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 10,2024

Almost everywhere you turn these days, somebody is whining about whether they are being “seen.” Woke culture makes sure it tells people “I see you. You are seen.” An article in Psychology Today says, “Feeling seen by others is a basic human need. Its basis is evolutionary: If your tribe didn’t see you, there was a risk you’d be left behind when the nomadic life of early humans dictated they move, and being alone equated to death. If other tribes didn’t see and respect you and your tribe, they were likely to invade your territory, take your resources, and leave you and your family to die. In the ancient part of our brains, not being seen is equivalent to being sentenced to death.” It’s a basis to justify anger and victimization.

Biblically speaking, being seen is the opposite of justifying anger and victimization. It is God’s way of showing love, value and concern for His people, and being seen is a foundational precept of order within God-given liberty. At the beginning of Numbers, the LORD instructs Moses to conduct a census. Males 20 years and older were counted for an army, and each recorded by name and clan, starting with Reuben. The Levites however, were exempt from the census because their service was for the Tabernacle. The census also indicates God’s concern for each person who is known and counted by the LORD. The Hebrew term “lifting the head,” means that each head is counted and seen before God. Read More

Supreme Court to Hear Case About Facebook Data-Harvesting Incident

The Supreme Court on June 10 agreed to look at a large shareholder lawsuit that claims Facebook parent Meta Platforms Inc. deceived investors regarding a data-harvesting controversy that involved Cambridge Analytica, a political consulting firm.

The case involves a private securities fraud-related class action arising out of the now-defunct UK-based Cambridge Analytica’s “wrongful acquisition and misuse of Facebook user data,” according to Facebook’s filing with the nation’s highest court.

Meta agreed in December 2022 to pay out $725 million to settle a class-action proceeding that said the company permitted third parties, including Cambridge Analytica, to gain access to as many as 87 million users’ personal information. The incident was made public in 2018.

Cambridge Analytica previously worked for then-candidate Donald Trump’s successful presidential campaign in 2016, and had access to personal data from millions of Facebook accounts for purposes of targeting and profiling voters. The account holders did not consent and had their data harvested by means of an app.

The scandal led to government investigations and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was called to testify before Congress.

The Supreme Court granted the petition for certiorari, or review, in Facebook Inc. v. Amalgamated Bank, in an unsigned order. No justices dissented and the court didn’t explain its decision. At least four of the nine justices must vote to grant the petition for it to advance to the oral argument stage.

The Supreme Court will examine whether a federal appeals court erred in allowing the multi-billion dollar lawsuit to proceed premised on allegations that Facebook, as the company was known at the time, inflated share prices by failing to provide adequate disclosure that its user data would be misused.

The investors claim that the controversy contributed to two 2018 price drops that led to the company losing more than $200 billion in market capitalization. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ruled against Facebook in the case at hand in October 2023. (Read more)

- Mighty and Brilliant God, we pray for Your great wisdom to fill the Supreme Court justices in this matter. There is very little precedent established regarding "Big Tech" overreach regarding censorship and our online privacy and the Supreme Court will be the arbiters in this matter. We pray that You give them a deep understanding of the big picture, the little picture and the values every citizen of this nation holds regarding their privacy and ability to communicate online freely.  May there be honor and integrity in the arguments and we bind the plans to use "techno-double-speak" to confuse or obfuscate this issue, in Jesus name.  We pray for freedom of speech for we, the people, to be held in higher esteem than the right of big corporations. May they be unable to ever again decide what we can or cannot say according to their agenda, profit margin or control of the cultural narrative, in Jesus' holy name.  We declare strength and authority to the First Amendment, in Jesus name.

- "Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life; He swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing.  The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.  Many seek the ruler's favor, But justice for man comes from the Lord."  (Proverbs 29:24-26)
Netanyahu: Israel will do whatever it takes to return hostages

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on Saturday night with the four freed Hamas hostages and their families at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, praising the soldiers who carried out the daring daytime rescue operation in Gaza earlier in the day.

“Israel just carried out a remarkable rescue operation of four hostages held by Hamas. This operation required ingenuity and courage of the highest degree, and our soldiers performed in an unmatchable way,” the premier said after meeting the rescued abductees and their relatives.

“We’re committed to getting the release of all the hostages, and we expect Hamas to release them all—but if they don’t, we’ll do whatever it takes to get them all back home,” he continued. (JNS.org) Read more here.

- Lord God Jehovah, it has now been several days since we received news of the rescue of these four Israeli citizens who have been held captive as hostages in Gaza.

Father God, we can't stop praising You for this victory, and we continue to press in until all of these captives have been accounted for and returned to their homeland. Amen.

The difference between prayer and intercession
The difference between prayer and intercession

Submitted by Intercessors for America
Mankind has always reached out to God. Regardless of the continent they lived on. Regardless of age or even beliefs, there are historic accounts of people reaching out to God. It’s as if God has hardwired us to communicate with Him. A recent Gallup poll in the United States indicated over 70% of Americans pray on a regular basis. Think a moment of the complexity of billions of people over thousands of years praying to God. Imagine those prayers that have ascended to a holy God. It’s really an incredible concept that God created this communication process of prayer. This is a God who is not only willing, but desires, to hear and listen to us at any given time. A special formula is not needed. We don’t have to prostrate or position ourselves in a certain way. All we need is to talk to God and be honest with Him.

When you talk about prayer and intercession, it’s easy to believe they are lumped together in one category. People often ask me, “What is the difference in prayer and intercession?”  I’d like to make the distinction that both are good. Both are good but they are different. To give the simple answer, prayer is when you come before God with the needs that are on your heart. Of course, we need to bring our needs to God – He expects us to.

Intercession is when you stand between God and someone or something. At Intercessors for America, we stand between God and the people and problems of the United States. We stand in the gap for politicians and pray for godly leaders. That’s the distinction. We should pray to God, yet at times we need to stand between. Ezekiel 22:30 says, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” Praying to God is imperative. However, will we, when prompted by God, go beyond simple prayer and make a wall, and stand in the gap for our nation and its leaders?

Keys to Effective Intercession

I believe there are two key aspects of effective intercession. The first one is praying in community. What I mean by that is praying with other likeminded Christians. We have found from the hundreds of thousands of intercessors that we work with on a weekly basis, many of them feel lonely and discouraged. Ecclesiastes 4:9-20 tells us, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.”

To remain encouraged, especially when you are not seeing results, it is best to pray in a community. When one becomes discouraged or feels isolated, another will pick them up and encourage them to press on.

The second key to be successful in our intercessory prayer life is to rely on the promises of God. (Intercessors for America) Read more here.
Father, we thank You for allowing us to come before you in prayer and intercession. We pray that You would set the hearts of the American people on fire for You, and that You would raise up an army of faithful intercessors.

And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!

He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

Virgin Galactic launches VSS Unity space plane on final suborbital spaceflight with crew of 6
It was Virgin Galactic's seventh commercial spaceflight mission and the company's second of 2024.

Virgin Galactic launched six people to suborbital space on Saturday (June 8), launching a Turkish astronaut and three space tourists on what was the final voyage of the VSS Unity space plane.

Unity, attached to the belly of its carrier plane Eve,  took off from runway at Spaceport America in New Mexico at 10:31 a.m. EDT (1431 GMT) and carried to an altitude of 44,562 feet (13,582 meters) over the next hour, where it was dropped and ignited its rocket engine to carry two pilots and four passengers to space and back. The mission, called Galactic 07, reached an altitude of 54.4 miles (87.5 km) and marked the seventh commercial spaceflight by Virgin Galactic on Unity, which is being retired to make way for the company's new "Delta" class of spacecraft rolling out in 2026.

"I will need much more time to try and process what just happened," Tuva Atasever, the Turkish Space Agency astronaut on the flight, said in a post-flight press conference, adding that the view of Earth was indescribable. "It's not something you can describe with adjectives. It's an experiential thing … you just feel it in your gut."

Atasever's trip on on Galactic 07 was brokered by Axiom Space, a company that also flew a Turkish astronaut to the International Space Station with SpaceX on the private Ax-3 mission earlier this year. Atasever was a backup astronaut on the Ax-3 flight and oversaw three different experiments on Galactic 07. Read More

Man Who Beheaded Satanic Display Pleads Guilty, Avoids Jail:

 ‘Not Today, Satan’
A Mississippi man who made national headlines for tearing down and beheading a Satanic display in the Iowa State Capitol last year pleaded guilty last month to criminal mischief. Michael Cassidy, 36, facing a felony hate crimes charge, reportedly entered the plea in an exchange that would drop the felony charge over his destruction of the image of the Baphomet deity, the Des Moines Register reported. Cassidy, a former candidate for the Mississippi House of Representatives, was reportedly set to go to trial June 3 and could have faced five years behind bars after failing to convince the court to dismiss his case. This led his attorney to file a guilty plea for third-degree criminal mischief without the felony enhancement, The Christian Post reported. Under the agreement, Cassidy will potentially engage in dialogue with the Satanic Temple, pay an $855 civil penalty, dole out restitution, and receive “a deferred judgment with two years probation,” the outlet noted.

As previously reported, Cassidy told CBN News in December he felt destroying the display was the “'right thing to do.' We should not tolerate Satan,” he told CBN News at the time. The entire ordeal unfolded after Cassidy learned on social media The Satanic Temple had installed a display in the capitol building. He found himself concerned over its presence and decided to take action. “When I saw it, I thought, ‘How on earth can Satanic icons be in the capitol?'” he said. “And I thought, ‘You know, it’s some kind of oversight. … some little bureaucracy.'” Cassidy said he assumed the government would take it down once they realized what it was, considering the symbol was an attempt to “honor Satan.” But, once the display wasn’t removed, he said he got a plane ticket to Iowa and went to see the symbol for himself. “Whatever emotion you may have felt looking at it online, it’s completely different when you are actually in the capitol,” Cassidy said. “I’m an American. I’ve been in the Navy for my entire adult life. I’ve fought to protect the country, and it wasn’t to protect Satan. We say, ‘So help me God,’ not, ‘So help me Satan.'” He continued, “It became very clear to me that this could not stand. … It was intolerable for it to be there and, so I did what I did.” Read More and Watch Interview here.

Scripture: Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name. Psalm 29:2

Lyrics:
Down at the cross where my Savior died,
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His name!

Refrain
Glory to His name, glory to His name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His name!

I am so wondrously saved from sin,
Jesus so sweetly abides within;
There at the cross where He took me in;
Glory to His name!

Refrain

Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
I am so glad I have entered in;
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
Glory to His name!

Refrain

Come to this fountain so rich and sweet,
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet;
Plunge in today, and be made complete;
Glory to His name!

Refrain
