Man Admits to illegally Exporting "Sophisticated and Controlled" Aircraft Tech to Russia

A Kansas businessman admitted to violating export control and money laundering laws by illegally exporting U.S.-made aviation electronics to Russia before and after Russia invaded Ukraine, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said Tuesday.

Douglas Edward Robertson, 56, of Olathe, pleaded guilty to involvement in “a years-long conspiracy to circumvent U.S. export laws by filing false export forms with the U.S. government and, after Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, continuing to sell and export sophisticated and controlled avionics equipment to customers in Russia without the required licenses from the U.S. Department of Commerce,” according to the DOJ’s statement. Robertson, the former vice president of KanRus Trading Company Inc., was arrested Mar. 2023.

Robertson reportedly admitted he conspired with certain others to smuggle avionics to Russia and Russians in other countries between 2020 and Mar. 2023. He and his co-conspirators did so by filing false export forms and failing to file certain required export forms with the U.S. government. The suspects “lied about the exports’ value, end users, and end destinations,” according to the statement. (Daily Caller) Read more

- Lord, we pray that this serious breach of US national security will not have a disastrous impact. We ask that those involved be changed by Your Holy Spirit, and bring repentance.

Federal Judge Blocks Biden's Title IX Overhaul in Four More States

A federal judge in Kansas has blocked the Department of Education’s Title IX rewrite in four more states, continuing a pattern of successive losses for the Biden administration on the controversial regulatory overhaul.

U.S. District Court Judge John W. Broomes issued an injunction on Tuesday to the Biden administration’s new Title IX rules, which change the definition of sex to include claimed gender identities, bringing the total number of states with a similar block to 14. The ruling blocked the new rules in Kansas, Alaska, Utah, and Wyoming, representing the fifth federal court to rule against the Biden administration.

Critics of the rewritten Title IX rules say the Education Department is attempting to strip women and girls of private spaces, such as restrooms and locker rooms, by allowing biological males to use the same facilities.

“Given … the evidence before the court, it is not hard to imagine that, under the Final Rule, an industrious older teenage boy may simply claim to identify as a female to gain access to the girls’ showers, dressing rooms, or locker rooms so that he can observe his female peers disrobe and shower,” Broomes wrote.

The judge also made note of the legislative history of Title IX, which he said clearly referred to “biological sex,” not claimed gender identities or sexual orientations. (Washington Examiner) Read more

- Thank You, Lord that this rewrite appears to be failing across the nation. We ask that all who drafted it be held accountable, not just in the courts of man, but in Your Holy court. We tear down the strongholds that are pushing this agenda in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

- “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” (2 Corinthians 10:4)

The Enemy of my Enemy:

Biden Admin Weighs Working with Taliban to Combat ISIS-K

Facing a growing global terrorist threat, Biden administration officials are debating expanding cooperation with the Taliban regime in Kabul to help track ISIS-K, the branch of the terrorist group active in Afghanistan, according to two sources familiar with the matter and a former U.S. official.

The administration and other Western governments are scrambling to keep up with the mounting danger ISIS-K poses. Before this year, U.S. and other Western officials believed ISIS-K had the intent but not the ability to orchestrate attacks abroad. But that view changed with the horrific attack at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall concert venue on March 22, which killed 130 people and injured hundreds more. It was the deadliest terrorist attack in Europe since 2004. ISIS-K also launched a major attack in Iran this year that killed dozens, and other plots were disrupted in Europe.

But the U.S. military’s withdrawal from Afghanistan and declining Western influence in Africa have weakened Washington’s capacity to gather intelligence on the various offshoots of ISIS.

“We have a very, very limited ability to see what they’re doing,” said a former military officer with experience in the region.

As a result, the administration is weighing sharing more information with the Taliban about the Khorasan branch of ISIS, often referred to as ISIS-K. (NBC News) Read more

- Lord, we pray that only Your will shall be done with this plan. The Taliban are liars and there are numerous terror groups in Afghanistan now. We pray for the women and Americans still trapped in the country. We also ask for a move of Your Spirit across the land to bring true freedom to the people.

- “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” (Isaiah 61:1)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Prime Minister Netanyahu's red lines for a hostage deal - Israel National News

The Prime Minister's Office on Sunday published Benjamin Netanyahu's red lines in the negotiations with Hamas for a hostage deal.

Netanyahu's office emphasized that "the Prime Minister's strong stance against attempts to stop the IDF's operations in Rafah is what brought Hamas to the negotiating table."

It further noted that "the Prime Minister continues to stand strongly for the principles that Israel already agreed on: 1. Any deal will allow Israel to return to fight until all the war's goals are met. 2. Weapons will not be allowed to be smuggled to Hamas from the Gaza-Egypt border. 3. Thousands of armed terrorists will not be allowed to return to the northern Gaza Strip. 4. Israel will maximize the number of living hostages that are freed from Hamas captivity. (Read more)

2. Hostage talk delegation returns from Qatar, will resume negotiations next week - Jerusalem Post

An Israeli delegation led by Mossad director David Barnea has returned from Doha on Friday night after meeting with Qatari mediators over Gaza ceasefire talks.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, the talks were only an initial meeting, and the delegation will return to Doha next week to resume talks. The statement also said that there were still gaps between the two sides that needed to be fixed in order to reach an agreement.

Netanyahu agreed to dispatch a team to Doha for talks on Thursday after Hamas appeared to drop its upfront demand that Israel agree to a permanent ceasefire before a three-stage hostage deal got underway. (Read more)

3. IDF kills key member of Hezbollah air defense in strike deep inside Lebanon - Times of Israel

A prominent member of the Hezbollah terror group’s air defense unit was killed in an Israeli drone strike in northeastern Lebanon on Saturday.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, Maytham Mustafa al-Attar was considered to be “a significant source of knowledge” in Hezbollah’s air defense unit and was involved in planning and carrying out attacks against Israel.

The IDF said al-Attar obtained his knowledge during visits to Iran, and was involved in helping the Lebanese terror group procure Iranian weapons. (Read more)

4. Israelis wounded in Hezbollah missile and drone attacks on Galilee - World Israel News

Three Israelis were wounded, including one seriously, on Sunday afternoon when a Hezbollah anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon scored a direct hit in the area of Moshav Zar’it in the Upper Galilee.

Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya said that the seriously wounded victim, a 31-year-old man, was sedated and intubated in the hospital’s trauma center, in stable condition.

The other victims, aged 42 and 25, were lightly injured and were undergoing tests in the emergency room, the hospital said.

Following reports in local media that the wounded included an American citizen, the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem confirmed to JNS it “received information regarding the injury of a private U.S. citizen.” (Read more)

5. Firefighters battle blazes amid heatwave as Hezbollah attacks continue - World Israel News

Israeli firefighting crews are battling blazes across the Galilee and Golan sparked by a barrage of Hezbollah rockets and drones on Sunday.

Firefighters were working amidst a heatwave. Temperatures in some areas of the north reached 37°.

The Arbel National Park and Nature Reserve overlooking the Sea of Galilee was closed due to the fires.

Sirens were heard in Meron, Kibbutz Sasa, Kfar Shamai, Beit Shean, Moshav Amirim and Kfar Hoshen. (Read more)

1. SCOTUS Didn’t Just Upend Jack Smith’s Plans For Pre-Election Trump Trial, They May Have Ended His Entire Prosecution – Daily Caller

The Supreme Court’s ruling on former President Donald Trump’s immunity appeal made it all but certain no trial will take place before the election — and increasingly likely special counsel Jack Smith’s appointment will be deemed unlawful.

In a concurring opinion, Justice Clarence Thomas questioned the constitutionality of Smith’s appointment, writing that the lower courts should “answer these essential questions” before proceeding. Meanwhile, U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon has received criticism for her approach to Trump’s classified documents case, where she is weighing the constitutionality of Smith’s appointment.

“While the Supreme Court’s ruling on Presidential immunity in US v Trump was the headliner this week, what may bode even worse for Special Counsel Jack Smith is what lies within Justice Thomas’ concurring opinion,” former federal prosecutor Joseph Moreno told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “The ultimate issue may not be what types of charges Smith can bring against Trump, but instead whether Smith has the authority to supervises these cases at all.” Read more

- Lord, we stand on Your justice and truth as these cases have begun to falter. We continue to pray for President Trump, for the removal of all that has come against him simply because people are living in hate.

- “Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.”  (Proverbs 10:12)

2. Jason Miller says Biden’s doctor should ‘answer’ to Congress for ‘cover-up’ – Washington Examiner

Former President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Jason Miller argued that President Joe Biden’s doctor ought to face consequences for assisting in the “cover-up” of Biden’s mental deterioration.

Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s personal physician, released a memo in late February that said the president was fit to continue his presidential duties, with Miller arguing this is “very clear now not the case.” Biden’s ability to serve a second term in office has come under great scrutiny after the first presidential debate, with many people suggesting he step aside.

“We’ve seen the reporting from Carl Bernstein and others that Joe Biden’s had a number of these moments,” Miller said on Newsmax. “Of course, we all saw what happened on the debate stage on Thursday, and now you have all these Democratic honchos who are saying, ‘Joe, it’s time to step aside.’ But you’re going to tell us that Joe Biden’s been totally fine? Bianca, this has been a cover-up. I think Dr. Kevin O’Connor needs to be brought up to Congress. I think he needs to answer because, again, think about Joe Biden who’s actually controlling the nuclear codes.” Read more

- Lord, we agree that there must be accountability for hiding the mental capacity of the current occupant of the White House. The United States’ national security is at serious risk because of it.  We continue to ask for the soul of Joe Biden, and all who have followed the agenda of those who hate You.

- “Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth Your possession.” (Psalm 2:8)

3. President tells Dem governors he needs to work less and sleep more —with no events planned after 8 p.m. - New York Post

President Biden told a gathering of nearly two dozen Democratic governors at the White House Wednesday night that he needs to get more sleep and work fewer hours — and even avoid events held after 8 p.m. — despite previous reports he can only fully handle the rigors of the job between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The 81-year-old’s acknowledgment was reported by the New York Times, citing two people who took part in the high-stakes meeting and others who were briefed on the comment.

During the same gathering, the outlet reported, Biden responded to a question from Hawaii Gov. Josh Green about his health by saying while his health was fine, the problem was “just my brain,” an apparent attempt at humor that went unrecognized by at least one state leader in the room. Read more

- Father, Biden’s attempt at humor falls flat continually. We pray that Your power will remove him, the VP, and any others vying for their place who will follow their radical agenda. Let America have righteous leadership, and protection from our enemies.

- “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16)

4. Mississippi District Judge Orders Nationwide Stay on Title IX Gender Identity Revisions- The Epoch Times

A Mississippi district judge has ruled that the federal government can’t enforce its reinterpretation of Title IX protections to include gender identity revisions.

U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola granted the preliminary injunction and a nationwide stay against Health and Human Services (HHS) revisions to Title IX after complaints alleging HHS seeks to replace health regulations with a “regime” committed “to gender ideology over medical reality.”

Judge Gurioloa wrote that HHS officials began expanding the definition of Title IX protections in 2016 to include “discrimination based on the basis of gender identity” to fit in with Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Title IX was initially established in 1972 to protect women from discrimination in public education.

Plaintiffs in up to 15 states, including Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, and Mississippi, filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Mississippi.

“The Complaint alleges that HHS’s May 2024 Rule would require Plaintiffs to ‘use taxpayer funds to pay for unproven and costly gender-transition interventions through Medicaid and state health plans—even for children who may suffer irreversible harms,’” Judge Gurioloa wrote.

Using these taxpayer funds for gender-affirming care would consume resources needed for more imminent medical issues from “the most vulnerable populations,” Judge Gurioloa wrote in the order. Read more

- Thank You, Lord that another state has moved to protect women in sports. We ask that all states do the same, and refuse to comply with the Biden administration scheme.

- “We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

5. Longtime Biden friends say president didn’t remember their names in social settings: Report - Fox

A New York Magazine article published Thursday described multiple instances indicating President Biden’s decline has been treated like a "dark family secret for many elite supporters," such as him not remembering the names of longtime friends.

President Biden’s widely criticized performance in last week's debate has opened the floodgates of commentators questioning his ability to serve. New York Magazine’s Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi added to the pile-on in a grim piece headlined, "The Conspiracy of Silence to Protect Joe Biden", based on months of interviews that caused a major stir on social media.

Among numerous accounts of her work covering Biden in the past few years, Nuzzi wrote that those "who encountered the president in social settings sometimes left their interactions disturbed. Longtime friends of the Biden family, who spoke to me on the condition of anonymity, were shocked to find that the president did not remember their names."

She wrote one account of a guest who had attended a White House event last year, who allegedly realized Biden would not be able to make it through the entire reception, making the guest suddenly "open to an idea that they had previously dismissed as right-wing propaganda: The president may not really be the acting president after all." Read more

- Lord, are these people describing a demonic element? We take Your authority over every demonic presence in our government and apply the Cross of Christ against them.  We declare the schemes of the left and the enemy of our souls null and void.

- “Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.” (Hebrews 2:14-15)

6. Capitol Police investigating incident after pro-Israel House Dem says DC office was vandalized- Fox

U.S. Capitol Police have launched an investigation after a House Democrat said his office was vandalized on the Fourth of July.

Rep. Brad Scheider, D-Ill., one of the most staunchly pro-Israel lawmakers in the House Democratic Caucus, posted a photo on X showing printouts depicting Israeli hostages being held by Hamas strewn across the hallway in the Cannon House Office Building.

"My Capitol office was vandalized yesterday in a vile act of hate in which the posters of the more than 100 people still held hostage in Gaza (including 8 Americans) were ripped from the wall, shredded and tossed across the hallway," Schneider, who is Jewish, wrote Friday.

"This was a shameful act on any day, but especially on July 4, our country’s Independence Day. Sadly, it was but one of many hateful, un-American actions that took place across the country on the day we celebrate freedom and democracy." Read more

- Lord, we pray that You will stop these foolish protesters from continuing their plans. We pray Your protection for all who are being attacked by anti-Israel protesters. We ask for the hearts of all those who ignorantly protest without knowing Your Truth .

- “Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.” (Proverbs 28:26)

Keir Starmer Elected New UK Prime Minister After Big Labor Party Win

Keir Starmer officially became the new prime minister of the United Kingdom after the Labor Party’s big win Thursday in the general election, The Associated Press reported.

Conservative Rishi Sunak resigned as prime minister, and Starmer met Friday with King Charles III, who approved him to form a new government.

The Labour Party won a majority of votes to thrust Starmer, leader of the Labour Party, into the powerful position. Sunak had been prime minister since October 2022.

Starmer, who became the first Labour prime minister in 14 years, said he intends to put "country first, party second."

"We have to return politics to public service," Starmer said, adding that a position of his new stature "comes with great responsibility."

The Labour Party’s win on Thursday is one of the biggest-ever for the House of Commons.

Sunak said he "takes responsibility for the loss" and that a "sobering verdict" was delivered by the British people during a concession speech. (Fox News) Read more

- Father, we ask for Your protection for the people of the UK as a reportedly left-wing government takes control. Only You can change the hearts of humanity, so we ask for a fresh awakening across the UK to flood the countries with wisdom and truth, drawing them to Yourself.

- “Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.”             (Romans 13:11)

Biden Supporters Contemplate Using Obama as "Plan C" Ticket

That Joe Biden's re-election campaign is in disarray is evident for all to see. He's recently complained he gets tired so has to quit doing events after 8 p.m. and his debate performance has been panned on a bipartisan basis as a catastrophe.

So the solution? The Democrats' longtime hero and leftist who worked to expand government and reduce the rights of Americans: Barack Obama.

But hasn't he been elected twice already, and the Constitution limits presidents to two terms?

Yes, but then "Plan C" comes in, according to a report from Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard.

He described the plan already being outlined to help Biden's "wounded re-election effort" involves replacing the widely disliked Kamala Harris as the vice presidential nominee with Obama, who was in the White House following 2008 and 2012 elections. Read more

- Father, we once again ask for Your wisdom as the desperation of Democrats grows out of control in every area. Let nothing be done to damage the US further, and let no foolish ideas that go against Your law be allowed to prosper.

- “They set a net for my steps; my soul was bowed down. They dug a pit in my way, but they have fallen into it themselves.“  (Psalm 57:6)

Archaeologists discover ancient relic believed to be tied to Moses and the Ten Commandments
Ivory box containing 'depiction of scenes from the Old Testament' found amid excavations

Archaeologists conducting excavations at the site of a church have unearthed a marble shrine containing a relic that they believe may be tied to Moses receiving the Ten Commandments.

The shrine contained a 1,500-year-old ivory box adorned with Christian motifs, according to an Innsbruck University press release.

The item was discovered by archaeologists from Innsbruck University in southern Austria under an altar inside a chapel at the summit of Burgbichl, a small hill, in the municipality of Irschen.

Since 2016, archaeologists from the University of Innsbruck have been carrying out excavations in Irschen, which is a part of the Carinthian Drava Valley.

"We know of around 40 ivory boxes of this kind worldwide and, as far as I know, the last time one of these was found during excavations was around 100 years ago – the few pyxes that exist are either preserved in cathedral treasures or exhibited in museums," Gerald Grabherr, the lead archaeologist, said in the release.

One motif shows a man turning his head with a hand rising out of the sky above him, placing something between the person's arms, followed by depictions of biblical figures. Read More

Scripture: Let us go up to the mountain of the Lord. Micah 4:2

Lyrics:
I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I’m onward bound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

Refrain
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table land,
A higher plane than I have found;
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where those abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

Refrain

I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

Refrain

I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till Heav’n I’ve found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

Refrain
