Hunter Biden Pleads Not Guilty After Plea Agreement Falls Apart
|
|
Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, pleaded not guilty on July 26 to federal tax and gun charges after the presiding judge objected to an earlier plea agreement that had linked the two alleged crimes.
At the July 26 hearing, U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika expressed “concerns” that Mr. Biden’s plea agreement linked tax crimes to resolving felony gun charges.
Judge Noreika, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, said she couldn’t accept the deal in its current form.
Following in-court discussions between prosecutors and the defense team about the structure of the agreement, Mr. Biden entered a plea of not guilty.
On June 20, prosecutors said that Mr. Biden had agreed to plead guilty to intentionally failing to pay federal income taxes and to a felony gun charge.
President Joe Biden has claimed in the past that his son “did nothing wrong.” “I trust him. I have faith in him,” the president said on MSNBC in a recent interview. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

We have been watching this thing and hearing about it for far too many years and it is time for it to come out and be dealt with properly. We pray that Hunter Biden comes to the end of himself and repents, speaks truth and cries out for forgiveness and redemption, in Jesus name. We pray for this entire family to fall to their knees before a Holy God and that there is a washing and cleansing of evil off of them and their ways, while still reaping what they have sown, in Jesus name.

Hunter Biden's Legal Team Faces Sanctions, Accused of Using Dirty Trick in His Criminal Case: Report

Lawyers for Hunter Biden, trying to save their client from the consequences of his unlawful actions, might have run afoul of the law themselves.
Biden’s lawyers are currently facing sanctions after being accused of lying to a clerk involved in the president’s son’s criminal tax case.
The lawyers, with the firm of Latham & Watkins, have responded to the accusations by saying the incident was just an “unfortunate misunderstanding.”
Delaware Judge Maryellen Noreika had ordered the lawyers to explain themselves by Tuesday or face sanctions.
One of Hunter’s lawyers, Matthew Salerno, claimed the entire incident was merely because of “an unfortunate and unintentional miscommunication,” as reported by the U.K. Daily Mail.
According to Fox News, the lawyers are accused of trying to remove evidence from IRS whistleblowers concerning the Justice Department’s criminal investigation into Biden’s taxes.
“The matter under consideration appears to stem from an unfortunate and unintentional miscommunication between a staff member at our firm and employees of the Court. We have no idea how the misunderstanding occurred, but our understanding is there was no misrepresentation,” Salerno wrote to Noreika on Tuesday, according to the Daily Mail.

McCarthy: Biden Family Probe ‘Rising to the Level of Impeachment Inquiry’

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has asserted that the growing body of evidence surrounding corruption allegations against President Joe Biden and his family has approached warranting an impeachment inquiry to investigate potential wrongdoing.
During an interview on “Hannity” on Monday night, Mr. McCarthy discussed the whistleblower allegations involving substantial payments made to the Bidens by foreign entities. He accused the FBI of withholding crucial information from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), alleging that the agency deemed the informant’s claims credible.
“When President Biden was running for office, he told the American public that he’s never talked about business. He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we now prove is not true,” Mr. McCarthy said.
The House Speaker also referenced two IRS whistleblowers who allege that government prosecutors slow-walked an investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax crimes. He also noted that House GOP investigations had found records of millions of foreign funds having traveled through shell companies to Biden family members and associates.
“We would know none of this if Republicans had not taken the majority,” McCarthy emphasized. “But Hannity, this is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress with the strongest power to obtain the knowledge and information needed for oversight.”
Mr. McCarthy accused Mr. Biden of weaponizing the federal government “to benefit his family” and obstruct Congressional oversight. He asserted that a full-fledged impeachment-level inquiry was likely necessary to address these serious allegations. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

We pray for them and those who have come forward as whistle-blowers. Father, we pray for Joe Biden to bear the responsibility of his actions, which may well mean impeachment. If so, we pray for it to run the full course through both the House and Senate. May it also result in transparency being demanded in this government, in Jesus name.

1. Tisha Be'av 2023: What the Jewish summer fast day is all about - explainer - Jerusalem Post
Jews around the world are set to mark Tisha Be'av (the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av) on Wednesday night and throughout the day Thursday, the anniversary of the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem and when a number of other calamities in Jewish history occurred.
Tisha Be'av is first and foremost a fast day, where, Jews abstain from all food and water for an approximately 25-hour period, starting from sunset until nightfall the next day. It is also the time when the Jews read the Book of Lamentations (Megillat Eicha), in which the biblical prophet Jeremiah laments the destruction of Jerusalem and the subsequent exile from the Land of Israel.
What do we mourn on Tisha Be'av?
While most commonly associated with the destruction of the First and Second Temples, Tisha Be'av actually marks a number of calamities throughout Jewish history. Chronologically, the first such tragedy is believed to have been the sin of the spies. According to some traditions, the day that the 12 spies gave a slanderous report about the Land of Israel to the Jews in the desert, leading to that generation being forbidden from entering the land, is traditionally believed to have occurred on Tisha Be'av.
The Talmud recounts that when the Jews cried out in response to the spies' report and even expressed a desire to return to slavery in Egypt, God responded, "You wept needlessly, and I [will] establish for you [a night] of weeping for [future] generations." (Read more)

2. Netanyahu's Tisha B'Av message: We can reach agreements - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published a message on his Twitter account this afternoon (Wednesday) ahead of the fast of Tisha B'Av and against the background of the controversies over the coalition's planned judicial reforms.
"On the eve of Tisha B'Av, I believe that it is possible to reach agreements among ourselves, and together with my friends we are working to that end," Netanyahu wrote.
Tisha B'Av is the anniversary of the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, which marked the end of the first and second Jewish commonwealths in the Land of Israel. According to Jewish tradition, infighting and 'baseless hatred' among the Jews of the time led to the destruction of the Second Temple by the Roman Empire in 70 CE.

3. Former IDF intelligence official sounds alarm on Hezbollah shifting gears - Israel Hayom
Hezbollah's conduct in recent months shows it has changed its policy and an attempt to alter the rules of the game that have been in place since the 2006 Second Lebanon War, a former senior IDF intelligence officer tells Israel Hayom, adding that this suggests the Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah has received a green light from Iran to shift gears from force buildup to a war-preparedness posture.
The officer, Col (res.) Ronen Cohen has been following Hezbollah for the past 40 years. He notes that "it doesn't mean that war will break out tomorrow morning, but the northern border could gradually become a fighting theater that is very similar to what the Security Zone in Southern Lebanon was before the IDF withdrew in 2000." According to Ronen, such a reality "could start from events, such as what has recently unfolded on the northern border – the pitching of tents, the firing of anti-tank missiles, and the infiltration into the Israeli heartland to place a bomb on a major road – and it could then intensify."
Cohen, who is concerned over recent developments, says that decision-makers should pay attention to his sounding of the alarm, as someone who has gotten to know the Shiite terrorist organization since the 1980s, when it was still in its infancy. (Read more)

4. Worst Domestic Crisis We’ve Had Since Our Establishment’: Former Israeli Prime Minister - Algemeiner
Israel is going through “the worst domestic crisis we’ve had since our establishment,” the country’s former Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, told an American audience this week, faulting the government in Jerusalem for “doing a horrible job.”
“Many perceive that this government came in drunk with power,” Bennett said. He accused the government of engaging in “identity politics” and “working day in and day out to widen this chasm” between the “First Israel,” of secular Israelis who work in high tech in Tel Aviv, and the “Second Israel” of charedim and sefardim who live on the periphery.
Bennett’s remarks came as part of a “Critical Conversations” series sponsored by Chabad of Martha’s Vineyard. The event was long-scheduled, but took place just a day after Israel’s parliament passedpart of a judicial overhaul advanced by Prime Minister Netanyahu. The legislation, though delayed and modified, prompted extensive street protests in Israel, cautionary warnings from President Biden, and threats of negative reactions from elements in Israeli society, from the military to medicine and venture capital. 5. ‘Holy Jerusalem’: Rare 2,000-year-old half-shekel coin found in Judean desert - World Israel News
A 2,000-year-old silver half-shekel bearing the Hebrew inscription “Holy Jerusalem” has been discovered in the Judean desert, the Israel Antiquities Authority revealed on Tuesday.
The rare coin, dated to 66/67 C.E., the days of the first Jewish revolt against the Romans, was discovered at the entrance to a cave near Ein Gedi. The find was part of a cave survey operation, now in its sixth year, that the IAA is managing in cooperation with the Israeli Heritage Ministry and an archaeology staff officer at the Civil Administration.
Recently, as part of the survey, IAA inspectors had reached a section of a cliff along one of the streams in the Ein Gedi area, and noticed the coin sticking out of the ground at the entrance to one of the cliffside caves.
Yaniv David Levy, a researcher in the IAA’s Coin Department, said, “You can see an inscription written in unvowelized Hebrew… on this coin from the first year of the rebellion. This may be proof of the process of formulating inscriptions… in later years of the rebellion, the inscription ‘Holy Jerusalem’ is written in plene spelling [in which letters normally omitted are present].” (Read more)

1. AI Firms Strike Deal With White House on Safety Guidelines - VOA
The White House on Friday announced that the Biden administration had reached a voluntary agreement with seven companies building artificial intelligence products to establish guidelines meant to ensure the technology is developed safely.
“These commitments are real, and they’re concrete,” President Joe Biden said in comments to reporters. “They’re going to help … the industry fulfill its fundamental obligation to Americans to develop safe, secure and trustworthy technologies that benefit society and uphold our values and our shared values.”
The companies that sent leaders to the White House were Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Inflection, Meta, Microsoft and OpenAI. The firms are all developing systems called large language models (LLMs), which are trained using vast amounts of text, usually taken from the publicly accessible internet, and use predictive analysis to respond to queries conversationally. 2. Louisiana Overrides Dem Governor to Ban ‘Transgender’ Surgeries, Puberty Blockers for Minors - Daily Signal
Louisiana has become the 20th state to protect minors from irreversible “transgender” procedures, including surgeries and cross-sex hormone injections, over the veto of its Democratic governor.
Members of the state Legislature assembled in a special veto override session in Baton Rouge Tuesday to pass the Stop Harming Our Kids Act (HB 648), which prevents surgical or chemical conversion therapy to create an underage person’s “gender identity” that is “inconsistent with the minor’s sex.”
The bill forbids the “removal of any healthy or non-diseased body part or tissue”—such as mastectomies, hysterectomies, and sterilizations—and the construction of artificial breasts or genitalia. The bill also forbids placing children on puberty blockers or administering cross-sex hormone injections. Gov. John Bel Edwards vetoed the bill on June 29, asserting it “needlessly harms a very small population of vulnerable children, their families, and their health care professionals.” (Read more)

3. Verdict reached in Kevin Spacey sexual assault trial - DML News
A jury found Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey not guilty Monday in his criminal sexual assault trial in London surrounding allegations that he assaulted four men.
The verdict was reached after jurors began deliberating midday Monday local time following proceedings that lasted about a month.
Spacey, 63, is on trial after pleading not guilty to charges of sexual assault, indecent assault and causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. Four men have testified about similar encounters that involved Spacey allegedly groping them.
Spacey testified, “My world exploded. There was a rush to judgment and before the first question was asked or answered I lost my job, I lost my reputation, I lost everything in a matter of days.” Fox News reported, “The acts alleged between 2001 and 2013 ranged from unwanted touching to aggressive crotch-grabbing and, in one instance, performing oral sex on an unconscious man.” (Read more)

4. Queer’ Middle School To Open Using Taxpayer-Funded Vouchers - The Daily Caller
An Arizona middle school for LGBTQ students funded by state voucher money is set to launch in August, according to the Arizona Republic. The Queer Blended Learning Center housed by one•n•ten, an activist group, is expected to open with half a dozen LGBTQ youth enrolled, according to the Arizona Republic. Those attending the school are able to pay for their tuition using taxpayer-funded vouchers provided through a state program.
“We just had this population of sixth, seventh and eighth graders that could really benefit from a safe space to be able to really have exceptional education while also having education that pertains to their own identity,” Clayton Davenport, one•n•ten’s director of development and marketing, told the outlet. “Being able to raise their hands and ask their questions in a safe, affirming environment is going to be key to their mental health and educational advancement.”
At the Queer Blended Learning Center, students will be taught LGBTQ history every day using a curriculum created by the New York Department of Education, the Arizona Republic reported. Students will learn math, reading and science through an online home-school program. (Read more)

5. Mexican drug cartels are behind the surge in retail thefts - Washington Examiner
Mexican cartels are quietly expanding their global criminal empires to include mass theft operations targeting big-box stores, luxury retail brands, and small businesses, then selling the stolen goods online and laundering the profits through Chinese brokers.
The same transnational criminal organizations, known as cartels, that have facilitated the greatest-ever human smuggling operation across the U.S.-Mexico border over the past two years and simultaneously caused the fentanyl epidemic in America now have a hand in organized retail crime.
“It’s a $70 billion a year enterprise — organized retail crime,” said Eric DeLaune, special agent in charge at the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations, HSI, arm within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, during an announcement this week of a public-private partnership between HSI; U.S. attorneys in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi; and industry leaders from Albertsons, Home Depot, and Walmart to create an Organized Retail Crime Alliance. These organized theft rings are not merely shoplifters — they are part of a larger band of criminals that has infiltrated every state. (Read more)

6. DOJ accused of using federal money to ‘illegally fund’ gun restrictions in red states - DML News
Republicans and gun rights activists say the Biden administration unlawfully handed out federal funds to states that did not qualify under a program intended to promote so-called “red flag” laws.
“The Department of Justice appears to have weaponized the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to illegally fund ineligible ‘red flag’ laws and bribe pro-gun states into passing gun confiscation laws,” the lawmakers wrote.
“Since the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, no states have revised their statutes to comply with the ‘due process’ requirements imposed by the 117th Congress,” the letter states. “Nevertheless, the Bureau of Justice Programs has funded every state that applied with a ‘red flag’ gun confiscation law on the books without enforcing Congress’ ‘due process’ requirements. The federal government should have no part in funding state level gun confiscation programs which violate the due process rights of gun owners.” (Read more)

7. UFO hearing: Whistleblower testifies government 'absolutely' has possession of 'nonhuman' craft - Yahoo News
A former Pentagon intelligence official testified Wednesday that he was “absolutely” certain the government had possession of nonhuman craft.
David Grusch, a former Air Force officer, said during a House Oversight hearing that his information was based on interviews with 40 witnesses and that he knew where the material was being held. Grusch added that nonhuman “biologics” were recovered along with the crafts.
Grusch had initially made the claims last month before adding the information about pilots in a later NewsNation interview. Grusch was an intelligence officer for the Air Force and eventually joined the task force looking into unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP, the military’s preferred term for UFOs. He said he became a whistleblower in May 2022 after he received a number of concerning reports that the government was acting with secrecy and without congressional oversight with regard to UAP.
Grusch said that he feared for his life and had faced professional and personal consequences from the government for speaking out, noting there was an ongoing whistleblower retaliation investigation into his treatment. Grusch said he believed that the government first became aware of nonhuman technology in the 1930s and that there had been a “multi-decade campaign to disenfranchise public interest.” (Read more)

8. China secretly sends enough gear to Russia to equip an army - Politico
China, despite Beijing’s calls for peace, is pushing right up to a red line in delivering enough nonlethal, but militarily useful, equipment to Russia to have a material impact on President Vladimir Putin’s 17-month-old war on Ukraine. The protective gear would be sufficient to equip many of the men mobilized by Russia since the invasion. Then there are drones that can be used to direct artillery fire or drop grenades, and thermal optical sights to target the enemy at night.
These shipments point to a China-sized loophole in the West’s attempts to hobble Putin’s war machine. The sale of so-called dual-use technology that can have both civilian and military uses leaves just enough deniability for Western authorities looking for reasons not to confront a huge economic power like Beijing.
The wartime strength of China’s exports of dual-use products to Russia is confirmed by customs data. And, while Ukraine is a customer of China too, its imports of most of the equipment covered in this story have fallen sharply, the figures show. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Weaponization Of The IRS

On July 12, WFLX reported that some 20-30 undercover cars carrying fully armed Internal Revenue Service agents in tactical gear raided Elite Payroll Solutions in Stuart, FL. WFLX reported that officers wearing shirts that read “Police IRS Criminal Investigation” were entering and leaving the office. There is little public detail about the raid and the IRS has only admitted that it was conducting an investigation at the location. This raises the question about whether an unelected administrative agency should have the authority to conduct armed raids of private businesses. Instead, local law enforcement should assist agents through a search warrant, which would improve accountability and transparency.
Let us remember that the Democratic-controlled Congress passed into law an influx of $80 billion at the request of the Biden Administration to arm IRS agents. The current Republican-controlled House has legislation to repeal this, but it remains in effect. IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel confirmed at an April 27 Congressional hearing that his agency was hiring 1,200 extra armed agents to investigate “criminal” acts of fraud and tax evasion. This is alarming because the IRS could very well view any evasion or perceived evasion of taxes as a crime. This is an agency that has “administrative” authority to freeze your bank accounts and seize your property. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg of a vast arming of federal agencies. Read More

Parents Defending Education (PDE), a grassroots organization dedicated to fighting indoctrination in the classroom, says it has uncovered disturbing evidence linking Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-sponsored financial entities to American K-12 schools.
The findings are detailed in a new report dubbed "Little Red Classrooms," which was sent to 34 governors, key lawmakers and committee chairs on Wednesday.
"The alarming evidence uncovered by our investigation should concern parents, educators, and policymakers alike. Families deserve to know who is influencing the American education system so that they can make informed choices about what their children are learning behind closed doors," PDE president Nicole Neily told Fox News Digital.
"The Trump administration took steps to rein in Confucius Institutes at colleges and universities. It is frightening, however, that no such transparency mandate exists at the K-12 level," Neily continued. "Accordingly, it is imperative that elected officials at both the federal and state levels take immediate action to gauge the extent of these programs in order to ensure that American schoolchildren receive a high-quality education free from undue foreign interference."
Parents Defending Education bills itself as "a national grassroots organization working to reclaim our schools from activists imposing harmful agendas. PDE's sister organization, PDE Action, sent the "alarming" results of its lengthy "Little Red Classrooms" investigation to House Education & Workforce Committee Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C.; House Armed Services Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala.; and House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Mike McCaul, R-Texas.
According to the letters, which have been obtained by Fox News Digital, the investigation exposed how millions of dollars of China-linked funding has flowed into America’s K-12 classrooms. PDE believes American students are subject to CCP propaganda under the guise of Chinese language and culture programming.
"The fact the Chinese government had so much access to American classrooms, students, and curriculums should worry families," PDE senior adviser Michele P. Exner wrote to McCaul.
The committee chairs were informed that through "records requests and publicly available information, it was discovered that 143 school districts across the United States have engaged in contracts to establish Confucius Institutes and Classrooms," including in three of the nation’s top science and technology high schools, and several that are near 20 U.S. military bases.
"Considering China’s adversarial relationship with the United States, this poses significant security risks that warrant immediate attention from your committee," Exner wrote to Foxx. (Fox News) Read more here.

We ask that the three House Committees that have been notified of this research will now take fast action to launch further investigations into this critical matter, and to then write laws that will spare our children from this dangerous indoctrination.

Stop the Marxist makeover of the US military

It’s time we face an unpalatable reality. Nothing less than the national security of the United States hangs in the balance.
The truth is we are in the midst of the third Obama-Biden administration. The cumulative damage is incalculable as we are reaping the whirlwind of having elected in 2008 Barack Obama – a man who, in a moment of hubris-driven candor on the eve of his first presidential election, declared the incipient “fundamental transformation” of America.
As president, Obama did as much as he could get away with to morph the nation. Domestic policies eroded our constitutional order and the freedoms it guarantees. Remember his pronouncement that “I have a phone and a pen,” his pretext for taking actions he had previously acknowledged he could not legally do?
Among the worst of his enduring legacies is that, far from being the promised post-racial president, Obama deliberately and repeatedly exacerbated race-relations.
What especially imperils our national security now is the fact that the subversive legacy of the previous Obama-Biden terms is becoming manifest in the U.S. military, as well. It is, arguably, the last national institution to undergo the Marxist makeover Barack Obama set in motion. But, thanks to officers aggressively promoted during his 1.0 and 2.0 presidencies becoming senior commanders, it is perilously devastating morale, retention, recruitment and readiness.
A particularly important and topical example is the current nominee to succeed the disastrous Gen. Mark Milley as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: Air Force General Charles “C.Q.” Brown. An accomplished combat aviator, Brown has in recent posts – including his present one as the top Air Force officer – become a champion of the full Obama-Biden transformational agenda, including: substituting racial quotas for the armed forces’ renowned, and necessary, meritocracy; social engineering to accommodate, among others, psychologically disordered transexuals; and the indoctrination of future military leaders with critical race theory.
To date, Gen. Brown’s disqualifying attachment to such radical notions has not been properly vetted by the U.S. Senate. During his confirmation hearing only two of its Armed Services Committee’s twenty-five members asked him questions that touched on his own positions, let alone the damage those so-called “woke” policies are doing to the military. An urgent request by thirty-one national security practitioners and other public policy leaders for Gen. Brown to be closely questioned about both thus went largely unheeded. With the Committee voting out the nomination last week, this seriously defective promotion now awaits final action by full Senate.
I suspect the reason for such kid-gloves treatment is that Gen. Brown is black. And many in the Senate and elsewhere are responding to the prospect of his becoming Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as we did Barack Obama’s candidacy for the presidency – namely, with the hope that it will banish racism. Lawmakers: IRS Dodging Oversight After Destroying 30 Million Records

Lawmakers investigating reports that the IRS destroyed tens of millions of taxpayer records say the federal tax agency is not cooperating with the investigation.
Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., and Oversight Subcommittee Chairman David Schweikert, R-Ariz., sent a letter to IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel (pictured above) demanding he comply with the documentation request.
They argue the agency has “willfully ignored” their request, which dates back to last year.
The inquiry comes after a Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration report showing that the IRS destroyed roughly 30 million taxpayer documents in 2021. Critics say the agency made a mistake and that taxpayers may have needed those files if they are audited in the future.
“The decision to destroy information returns diligently prepared by millions of American taxpayers demands congressional oversight,” the letter said. “The destruction of these returns raises the question of whether information reporting should be scaled back to reduce the burden placed on taxpayers in reporting information the IRS does not even use.” (The Virginia Star) Read more here.

To come to this hypothesis, the team used supercomputers to simulate how the area could have formed, going as far back as 140 million years. The findings, detailed in a study published recently in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, center around an ancient ocean that no longer exists.

A Global Movement of Radical Young Adults Is Emerging

Last week I arrived in Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania, to train some missionaries and to speak in a few meetings before heading to the mainland. I knew that Zanzibar was predominantly Muslim, and that in the past Christians there have suffered from persecution. I didn't know that this beautiful island, now a vacation paradise, was once the headquarters of the global slave trade—controlled by Arabs from the nation of Oman. When I arrived I was greeted by a young leader named Ben, who directs the work of Overland Missions on the island. Ben is only 27, but he and his wife, Kelsi, lead a team of church planters and evangelists. Most of the people working with Overland in Zanzibar and Tanzania are in their 20s and 30s. During my three days on the island, I preached at an Assemblies of God congregation in a rural area near the capital. The church has struggled in the past because of persecution, but now they have run out of room, and most of the people who attended the Sunday service are teens or 20-somethings.
When I took a ferry to Tanzania's capital, Dar es Salaam, I met a young pastor named Margaret, who is 38. With the full support of her husband, and with two young children in tow, she leads a Pentecostal Holiness church on the outskirts of the city and hopes to launch a primary school soon. Her dream is to reach the next generation with the gospel. Overland Missions, led by Philip Smethurst in Florida, is deploying hundreds of young people all over the globe. While some aging denominations have struggled with stagnant growth, new groups are springing up everywhere. And while seminaries are shrinking, and some older denominations have lost the fire of the Spirit, new training centers are emerging to attract younger students. This is not a time to despair. Look around! A new generation of His faithful followers is emerging. And just as Obadiah hid 100 prophets from Jezebel (see 1 Kings 18:4), God has prepared a remnant of radical Christians to finish the work of Jesus.
