Trump Rewrites Convention Speech to Focus on Unity

Former President Donald Trump has tossed his original speech for the Republican National Convention and rewritten it to focus on unity following the attempt on his life Saturday.

On Sunday, Trump told the Washington Examiner that he wants to use the historic moment to bring the deeply divided country together.

"The speech I was going to give on Thursday was going to be a humdinger," he said. "Had this not happened, this would've been one of the most incredible speeches" targeting the policies of President Joe Biden. "Honestly, it's going to be a whole different speech now."

Trump told the outlet that he plans to use the address to highlight how the assassination attempt at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, has completely changed the election landscape, which both Republicans and Democrats have acknowledged following Saturday's attack.

The 45th president said "reality is just setting in" and he was saved from death because he turned to look at a screen showing data he was discussing.

"I rarely look away from the crowd," he said. "Had I not done that in that moment, well, we would not be talking today, would we?"

Boarding his plane in Bedminster, New Jersey, for Milwaukee, where the Republican convention is set to take place Monday through Thursday, Trump said his speech is an opportunity to "bring the country together."

"This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together," he said. "The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would've been two days ago." (Read more)

- Lord God we continue to lift up President Donald Trump and every leader, whether locally or federally so that they would all build up American citizens into unity and agreement on the things that matter. We pray for the body of Christ Lord to have unity in the faith, be firm on what we believe, and align with Your truth Lord Jesus, in Jesus name amen.

- "I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought." (1 Corinthians 1:10)

Who Is J.D. Vance? Ohio Senator Tapped as Trump VP Candidate

Former President Donald Trump announced Monday that he had selected Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his vice presidential running mate, touching off rounds of praise and occasional statements of condemnation from the pro-life community.

Vance, who is presently serving his first term in the U.S. Senate, mirrors President Trump’s views on immigration and the importance of elevating the American middle class. The two men made a surprise appearance at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, shortly after delegates nominated the ticket.

Vance’s supporters say he has never lost touch with the struggling region of Appalachia that formed him. “There are few leaders in America that understand the challenges our families and children are facing today like Senator J.D. Vance,” Aaron Baer, president of the Ohio-based Center for Christian Virtue, told The Washington Stand. Jeremy Carl, author of the best-selling “The Unprotected Class,” has noted that “Vance comes from the forgotten white working class, and he has made concern for the people he came from the centerpiece of his career from the beginning. That’s incredibly important.”

While running for office in 2022, Vance said the states could “have different abortion laws” but that there should also be a reasonable “minimum national standard.” He viewed the “Protecting Pain-Capable Unborn Children from Late-Term Abortions,” which would limit abortion to the first 15 weeks of pregnancy, or longer in the cases of rape or incest, as such a reasonable bill. The measure would allow more than nine out of 10 abortions in the United States to take place. Yet he attacked his opponent, former “pro-life Democrat” Tim Ryan, for supporting abortion until birth. “As much as you call me an extremist, you’re the extremist on this issue,” Vance told him in 2022.

Obviously, Johnson said Monday, “We’re going to have vigorous debates and vehement opposition on policy — but the people inside the building are not our enemies, right? Our enemies are like Hamas and Hezbollah and the people trying to kill us. Your political opposition is not your enemy. And the whole secret to our system, the way it’s supposed to work, is you have vehement opposition, but you have vigorous debate, and then you move forward. And we’ve got to do that.”

The key, Johnson believes, is “understand[Ing] that our fellow Americans — we’re all part of the same country. We’re all brothers and sisters in that regard. I mean, if you look at it biblically, as you and I do, you’re supposed to love your enemies, right? Much less your fellow countrymen. You love your neighbor as yourself, as we’re admonished in Scripture to do. If you do that, it solves a lot of problems.” Of course, that doesn’t mean we “change our perspective” or “abandon truths,” he was quick to clarify. “It just means we are civil in our conversation.”

That said, Perkins warned somberly, “I think we’re at a crossroads … a pivotal point. This could be the hinge upon which this nation turns, depending on how … Donald Trump addresses this moment. And he suggested that he’s going to take maybe a path less traveled.” (The Stand)
[Editor's note: we recommend reading this entire article by going here. Much has changed already since the attempted assassination of President Donald John Trump.]

- Lord God, we continue to pray for JD Vance, asking that he would turn to you Lord for wisdom and counsel. We stand against all plots, schemes, and plans of the enemy to try to bribe him, manipulate, or control him into doing something other than the agenda he was elected to carry out. In Jesus name amen.

- "Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."  (James 4:7)

Johnson: Trump ‘Seems to Have a Very Clear View of What This Meant. God Spared His Life.’

There may be a day in the distant future when we look back on the field in Butler, Pennsylvania and wonder if this is where everything changed. As it is, Americans woke up Sunday morning to a very different world. In the aftermath of Donald Trump’s literal brush with death, campaigns, Congress, even political conventions seemed secondary to the deep horror at what we’ve become as a nation. And for once, after years of being at each others’ throats, a sober country has stopped to reflect: Is this really who we are?

In the days and hours since the bloody president emerged from the stage, fist in the air, everyone seems to understand the gravity of this moment. America was, as so many have pointed out, less than a quarter of an inch away from a national crisis from which we may never have recovered. “Sometimes the course of history depends on margins just that small,” the editors of National Review remind us solemnly.

The miracle of his survival was not lost on Trump, who acknowledged, “It was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening.” In an interview less than 24 hours after the assassination attempt, the reality of what might have happened “is just setting in,” the former president told the Washington Examiner’s Salena Zito. “I rarely look away from the crowd,” he admitted. “Had I not done that in that moment, well, we would not be talking today, would we?”

As he boarded a plane for Wisconsin, the former president also made it clear that he understands what a pivotal moment this is. “It’s a chance to bring the country together,” he said solemnly. “I was given that chance.” Earlier in the day, Trump announced to the Examiner’s Zito that he’d scrapped his intended remarks for the convention and started over. It would’ve been a “humdinger,” he said of the speech. But the world requires something “different” now, he realizes, “a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago.”

For too long, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) insisted, America has been a “tinderbox.” And the reason, he told Perkins on “Washington Watch” Monday evening, “is because the rhetoric has been so hot. I mean, I pointed out … on CNN just a few moments before the president went live with his remarks, and I told the group there, I said, ‘Listen, it is a fact that our Democrat[ic] colleagues have painted Donald Trump out to be the enemy of freedom.’ I mean, they use this language all the time. If he’s elected, it’s the end of democracy. It’s the end of the republic. You … tell people that enough, and they begin to actually believe it. And it spurs on [to] what has now become political violence. Now there’s offenders on both sides of the aisle, of course. And I’m the first to point that out. And I’ve been doing that consistently since I got to Congress.” (The Stand) Read more

- Lord God, we thank you for your supernatural protection over Donald Trump and his family. We can clearly see that you are with him and protecting him wherever he goes. Help us Lord to continue to intercede for this nation, our leaders, and this upcoming election. Help us continue to implement heaven on earth as your representatives in Jesus name amen.

- “'Didn’t I commission you as judges, saying, ‘You are all like gods, since you judge on my behalf. You are all like sons of the Most High, my representatives.’”     (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭82‬:6)

1.80 rockets target northern Israel as IDF strikes in Lebanon said to kill 5 Syrians - Times of Israel

Around 80 rockets targeted several different areas of northern Israel in three separate waves on Tuesday evening, as the IDF responded with strikes on Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon, which media reports claimed killed at least five people, including three Syrian children.

The first salvo set off waves of sirens in the border city of Kiryat Shmona and a number of surrounding areas. The IDF later said that at least 40 rockets had been fired toward the city in the attacks.

Several of the rockets were shot down by the Iron Dome, but some struck the northern city, causing damage to buildings, according to police. There were no reports of injuries.

Three Israeli citizens were arrested in recent weeks on suspicion of harming the country’s national security on behalf of the Iranian regime, the Israel Security Agency and Israel Police revealed on Tuesday.

One of the suspects, Elimelech Stern, a 21-year-old ultra-Orthodox resident of Beit Shemesh near Jerusalem, was charged on Tuesday with illegal contact with a foreign agent, Israel’s Ynet news outlet reported.

According to the charges filed at the Jerusalem District Court, Stern first came into contact with the agent, who identified himself by the name “Anna Elena,” through the encrypted Telegram messaging app. (Read more

5. CIA: Sinwar under increasing internal pressure to end the war - JNS

Hamas leader in Gaza Yayha Sinwar is being pressed by the terror group’s military commanders to accept a ceasefire deal and end the war with Israel, according to U.S. intelligence.

CIA Director Bill Burns conveyed this message to attendees of a closed-door conference in Sun Valley, Idaho on Saturday, a source present at the meeting said to CNN.

According to the source, the architect of the Oct. 7 attacks and Israel’s top target is not “concerned with his own mortality” but is facing calls for Hamas to lay down its arms because it will be blamed for the growing suffering in Gaza after more than nine months of fighting. (Read more)

1. Elon Musk Pledges Staggering Sum Of Money To Elect Trump - The Daily Wire

X owner Elon Musk has pledged that he will give a new super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump tens of millions of dollars per month. The Wall Street Journal reported Musk that is committing to giving $45 million a month to America PAC. Other major backers of the PAC include Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale, the Winklevoss twins, former U.S. ambassador Kelly Craft and her husband, Joe Craft, who is the CEO of Alliance Resource Partners, the report said.

The political action committee is focused on “registering voters and persuading constituents to vote early and request mail-in ballots in swing states,” the report said, adding that the group wanted to neutralize the massive advantage Democrats have had for years with their “get out the vote” campaigns.

Lonsdale has aggressively pushed his network of powerful entrepreneurs to give to the group, The New York Times reported.  Some of the major contributions that group has received so far include $1 million from Lonsdale’s personal company, $1 million from SpaceX board director Antonio Gracias, $1 million from early PayPal executive Ken Howery, and $500,000 from Sequoia Capital investor Shaun Maguire. 2. FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh pushed out after fiery controversies, including texts trashing firefighters: sources - New York Post

Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh — who confirmed she was quitting over the weekend — was pushed out after she burned too many bridges with rank-and-file Bravest, sources with knowledge of the situation told The Post Monday.

The FDNY’s first woman fire boss’s tenure finally went up in smoke after The Post’s recent exclusive report that she texted Attorney General Letitia James an apology for failing to “fix” sexist men in the department’s workforce, sources said. Sources said Kavanagh — who came under fire several times during her nearly two years at the helm of the department — resigned after being told that officials were lining up another potential job for her within Mayor Eric Adams’ administration.

Kavanagh likely will remain in the role for longer, as sources said it’s expected that it’ll take Adams weeks or months to pick a replacement. It’s unclear whether the mayor plans to name an interim commissioner in the meantime. (Read more)

3. Evictions are rising fastest in these 5 American cities - Fox Business

Home evictions are on the rise in several major cities nationwide as Americans continue to grapple with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. Eviction filings over the past year are up more than 15% compared with the period before the COVID-19 pandemic began in 10 cities across the country, according to the Eviction Lab, a research unit at Princeton University. The Eviction Lab tracks 10 states and 34 cities.
However, the problem is noticeably worse in five cities, where the eviction rate is at least 30% higher than it was before the pandemic started.

Gainesville, Florida:
In Gainesville – a college town best known for the University of Florida – there were 1,627 eviction filings as of June. That marks a 46% surge, relative to the pre-pandemic average.

Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota
Minnesota has seen 11,696 filings this year, a 44% surge when compared to the typical level seen before the pandemic started. Las Vegas, Nevada. Las Vegas has seen a 43% leap in evictions, with 47,741 filings so far this year. (RNC) Read more

- Mighty One, we are still struggling under the chaos and disarray that came upon our nation (and the world) from the covid debacle.  We pray for those who have taken advantage of landlords, homeowners and government handouts for these years and ask that they be brought under Your righteous authority.  We pray for those who are struggling to recover much of what they have lost and ask that they show mercy in the midst of justice, in Jesus name. Mostly Father, we pray for our nation to return to Godly morality and values, so that we treat one another with respect and honor, in Jesus name.  Amen.

4. Damage Is Done’: Parents, Officials Scoff At Newsom’s Attempt To Atone For Shutting Down Schools - The Daily Caller

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s massive $2 billion aid package to address pandemic learning is a sign of failed education policies, according to parents and school board members. Parents and school board members expressed their frustration over the aid and the lack of help and accountability from schools during the pandemic, according to Fox News. The state will spend the remaining amount of relief funds on tutoring and other ways to help speed up the learning loss recovery.

“Unfortunately, the damage is done, and this should have been a priority to the Department of Education and the Governor,” Chino Valley Unified School District Board President Sonia Shaw told Fox News Digital. “I’m grateful to those who never gave up to ensure resources are used to help students.” California parents are critiquing the need for more financial aid and poor leadership on the initial front of the pandemic.

“Rather than acknowledge how our state’s elected officials have consistently failed millions of children in our public schools, the legislature passed and the governor signed a bill that will not only send more money into our sub-par government schools, but have no real accountability other than reports that no one will read or seriously consider,” Christensen told Fox News. - Oh Father, this is such a tragedy to recognize how many children have had their educations hindered or sidelined because of the covid nightmare. Educators know that kids need to stay on track with learning because it builds line upon line and you cannot push students into new levels without the foundations required first.  We pray for these parents and their children to receive the tutoring assistance required to help them and we pray for the finances to be used for families and not the over-bloated systems, in Jesus name.

5. Japan, Rocked by Killing of Former PM Abe Shinzo, Condemns Trump Assassination Attempt - Breitbart

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio on Saturday night wished former president Donald Trump a “speedy recovery” and denounced political violence. Kishida himself was saved from an apparent assassination attempt in April 2023 and his predecessor Abe Shinzo – a close friend of Trump’s – was gunned down in July 2022.

“We must stand firm against any form of violence that challenges democracy,” Kishida said on social media platform X shortly after the attack on Trump. “I pray for former President Trump’s speedy recovery,” he added

Kishida was evacuated without injuries from a campaign event in western Japan in April 2023 after an assailant lobbed an explosive device in his direction. One police officer was slightly injured in the incident, which apparently involved a crude pipe bomb. The attacker, 24-year-old  Kimura Ryuji, was attempting to throw a second bomb when people in the crowd wrestled him down. (Breitbart) (Read more)

- Thank You Holy One for the support of other nations in both standing for President Trump and for peaceful exchanges in our nation.  It is clear the rhetoric has become so aggressive, leading to this assassination attempt.  Since Japan has already been walking through such a nightmare over the last few years, they certainly understand the gravity of this national trauma.  We pray for them as they pray for us, in Jesus' name.  May the Holy Spirit cover both nations with divine peace and order, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

- "and said:  'O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?'"  (2 Chronicles 20:6)

6. US authorities learned of potential Iranian assassination plot against Trump weeks before deadly shooting - New York Post

US authorities were warned about a potential assassination plot against former President Donald Trump by Iran weeks before the deadly shooting at Saturday’s rally — underscoring concerns about the level of protection that the presidential candidate was given, according to a report.

Although there is no known connection between Thomas Matthew Crooks and the Iranian republic — considered a rogue state by the US government — advance knowledge of such a threat appears wildly out of alignment with Trump’s level of protection at the Butler, Pa., rally.

The Trump campaign declined to address the outlet’s inquiry whether it was aware of the threat, but the Secret Service has “added protective resources and capabilities to the former President’s security detail,” agency spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. (NY Post) Read more here.

- Mighty Warrior, we pray for Your divine protection and the blood of Jesus to continue to cover President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in Jesus' name.  We know that Iran is always plotting death and destruction against our two nations and we powerfully stand against these wicked plans against our Godly leaders, in Jesus name.  While we know that Iran has vowed revenge because of the loss of their own terror henchmen, we also know that the home-grown rhetoric against President Trump has been exceedingly hostile and needs cooling.  Therefore, we see a clearly demonstrable need for high-level security protection for President Trump. We call the director of the Secret Service under authority of Almighty God, in Jesus name. We pray that You Father do not let her turn to the left or the right, neglecting her serious responsibilities, but hem her in to righteousness, in the name of Jesus.

- "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore."  (Psalm 121:7-8)

7. BREAKING! Shooting Near RNC in Milwaukee, One Person Reported Shot - The Epoch Times

One person was shot by police in an area near the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee on July 16, authorities said.

An Ohio-based Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) organization said in a statement that members of Ohio’s Columbus Division of Police were “involved in an officer involved shooting” near the convention.

Lodge President Brian Steel, in a press conference held Tuesday evening, confirmed that multiple Columbus police officers were involved in the incident while providing support for the RNC and that preliminary information is that multiple officers may have discharged their weapons in response to an individual wielding knives.

Mr. Steel added that witness reports were that the suspect may have been acting aggressively. He didn’t provide additional information as the incident is still under investigation by Wisconsin authorities.

In the earlier statement, the FOP said, “No Officers have been injured however the condition of the suspect is currently unknown. “Columbus Police Officers along with multiple officers from multiple jurisdictions nationwide are at the RNC to support Milwaukee police with security for the event.”

Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson told several media outlets that the shooting involving out of state officers was deadly in nature and noted it happened outside of the security perimeter of the RNC convention. (Read more)

- Father we ask that you dispatch your Holy angels to the RNC convention site. Command them to watch over and protect that area from any plot or plan the enemy would try to erect. We plead the MIGHTY blood of Jesus over the convention and every person in or around d that venue. We thank you and praise you in advance for your provision. In Jesus name. Amen

The Daily Jot

Biden's New Old Campaign Standard

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 16, 2024

On Sunday, July 14, Joe Biden addressed the nation with a blatantly political speech saying that the political rhetoric needed to cool down and that there was no place in America for political violence. He listed several violent incidents that Democrats are using in their campaigns—members of Congress being targeted, January 6 violent mob, the attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, information intimidation on election officials, the kidnapping plot against a sitting governor, and finally “an attempted assassination on Donald Trump.” Then he struck another chord in his campaign that he believes this election will shape the future of America for decades to come. All this reinforced his previous hate-filled rhetoric.

There was no mention of violence against Republicans, save for the assassination attempt on Trump. There was no mention of his very own statements that dog-whistled violence against Trump. For example, on June 28, Biden posted on X: “Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation. He’s a threat to our freedom. He’s a threat to our democracy. He’s literally a threat to everything America stands for.” On Monday, July 8, Biden told Democrat donors, “It’s time to put Trump in the bullseye.” At a campaign rally in Detroit on July 12, Biden was railing on Trump as a “convicted criminal” at his rally in Detroit. He said, “No more! Donald, no more free passes. Today, we are going to shine a spotlight on Donald Trump…We are going to say who he is, what he intends to do. Folks, Donald Trump is a convicted criminal.” Read More

Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez guilty on all charges in federal corruption trial
Menendez convicted on all charges in federal trial, will be sentenced Oct. 29

The jury in the federal corruption trial of Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., and two of his business associates, Fred Daibes and Wael Hana, found Menendez guilty on all charges after a grueling nine-week complex trial in Manhattan.

Menendez pleaded not guilty to federal charges that he accepted an array of bribes in exchange for helping foreign governments. Jurors deliberated for three days. The conviction on all 16 counts against him exposes Menendez to a sentence of more than 200 years in prison, though such a heavy sentence is unlikely.

The judge scheduled the senator's sentencing date for Oct. 29.

Menendez condemned the decision in a statement outside the courtroom, so far refusing to resign despite overwhelming calls to do so. His attorneys say they plan to appeal the verdict.

"I am deeply disappointed in the decision," Menendez said, claiming that he "never violated a public oath," and that he had "never been a foreign agent."

Prosecutors delivered a brief press conference outside the courtroom following the verdict.

"This case has always been about shocking levels of corruption. This wasn’t politics as usual, this was politics for profit," said U.S. Attorney for Southern District of New York Damien Williams. "Years of selling [Menendez'] office for profit has finally come to an end." (Fox News) Read more

Supreme Court rules in favor of NRA in key First Amendment case
Supreme Court says the NRA 'plausibly alleged' a New York official violated its First Amendment rights

The Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously decided that the National Rifle Association (NRA) "plausibly alleged" that the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) violated the group's First Amendment rights by blacklisting the group.

In a unanimous decision written by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the high court "holds that the NRA plausibly alleged that [then-New York State Department of Financial Services Superintendent Maria T.] Vullo violated the First Amendment by coercing DFS-regulated entities to terminate their business relationships with the NRA in order to punish or suppress the NRA’s advocacy."

"The judgment of the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit is vacated, and the case remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion," the court said, allowing the NRA to continue to argue its case, overruling the second circuit's dismissal of the suit.

The case stems from a lawsuit filed by the NRA in 2018 which questioned whether a government regulator threatens regulated entities with adverse regulatory actions if they do business with a controversial speaker, allegedly because of the government's own hostility to the speaker's viewpoint, violates the First Amendment. (Fox News) Read more.

- Thank you Lord for this righteous decision by the Supreme Court to protect our freedoms. We pray for this administration and the courts that they would fight the urge to destroy our freedoms and liberties. Instead, we pray Lord that you would help our leaders commit to defending our freedoms in Jesus' name, amen.

- “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”  (1 Corinthians 1:10)

Residents Told to ‘Evacuate Now’ Due Imminent Dam Failure in Illinois City
Residents Told to ‘Evacuate Now’ Due Imminent Dam Failure in Illinois City

Residents in a city in southern Illinois were ordered Tuesday to “evacuate now” because a dam for the city’s reservoir could fail at any moment.

In a social media statement issued on Tuesday, the Washington County Emergency Management Agency said: “Attention ... the Failure of the Nashville dam is imminent. Please evacuate your home at this time. If you are in the grey box, you need [to] evacuate now!” It was referring to an area that appears to be downstream from the reservoir.

Officials warned in the statement post that the dam “has been overtopped with flood waters.”

The dam at risk of failure is the Nashville City Reservoir Dam, which holds the Nashville City Reservoir, according to a map posted by the emergency agency.

A separate post issued by the emergency management agency’s social media page said that a shelter was being used in Nashville’s West Walnut Street. “The Red Cross has been activated,” officials also wrote.

The evacuation was taking place in Nashville, located in Washington County, Illinois, around 50 miles southeast of St. Louis.

Washington County was under a flash flood warning until 1:45 p.m. ET, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). So far, between 2 to 6 inches of rain has fallen in the area over the past 24 hours, and additional totals of 0.3 inches to 1 inch are possible for the warned area, officials said, adding that “life-threatening” flooding is ongoing.

“Flash flooding is ongoing,” the NWS wrote. “Illinois State Police reported I-64 closed in both directions between mile markers 50 and 61.”

Earlier Tuesday, Alex Haglund with the Washington County management agency told local news outlet KSDK-TV that a secondary dam on the reservoir had failed, which was also confirmed by the Emergency Management Agency in its statement.

The Nashville population stood at about 3,100 people during the last census.

The rain that was part of a series of storms that swept across the state was part of a larger system that led to tornadoes and tornado warnings in other areas, including Des Moines, Iowa, as well as the Chicago area.

- We here in Illinois are praying for this dam. Remembering Dutch Sheets declarations over our dams and waterways. Pleading the blood of Jesus over this dam and calling for all gates to stand strong, in Jesus name.

God is doing something in Illinois. We pray that God sustains the dam in Southern Illinois and that all that are evacuating have a safe place to go. Prayers for all the locals and even for the pets and animals in the area! Prayers also for all the damage done to homes etc. in the path of the storms across Illinois. May a spirit of repentance and seeking the Lord occur (especially for Governor Pritzker) and God's provision bring Glory only to Him! In Jesus name-Amen

- "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins."  (Colossians 1:13-14)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

NASA to Commemorate 55th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing
As the agency explores more of the Moon than ever before under the Artemis campaign, NASA will celebrate the 55th anniversary of the first astronauts landing on the Moon through a variety of in-person, virtual, and engagement activities nationwide between Monday, July 15, and Thursday, July 25.

Events will honor America’s vision and technology that enabled the Apollo 11 crewed lunar landing on July 20, 1969, as well as Apollo-era inventions and techniques that spread into public life, many of which are still in use today. Activities also will highlight NASA’s Artemis campaign, which includes landing the first woman, first person of color, and first international astronaut on the Moon, inspiring great achievements, exploration, and scientific discovery for the benefit of all.

NASA’s subject matter experts are available for a limited number of interviews about the anniversary. To request an interview virtually or in person, contact Jessica Taveau in the newsroom: jessica.c.taveau@nasa.gov.

During the week of July 15, the agency also will share the iconic bootprint image and the significance of Apollo 11 to NASA’s mission, as well as use the #Apollo11 hashtag, across its digital platforms online. Read More

Zebedee Actor From 'The Chosen' Breaks Down in Tears, Says Holy Spirit Hit Him 'Like Fire'

Zebedee Actor From 'The Chosen' Breaks Down in Tears, Says Holy Spirit Hit Him 'Like Fire'. The actor who plays the boisterously happy father of two of Jesus' disciples in "The Chosen" is opening up about how the role was "downloaded to him by God." At first, Nick Shakoour thought he bombed his audition. Instead, he was awarded the role of Zebedee, the father of James and John - the biblical "sons of thunder." Nick told CBN's The 700 Club how his character has touched the lives of others and led to his own powerful encounter with the Lord that has radically transformed his life. In an iconic scene from "The Chosen", Zebedee's sons have just been called to follow Jesus. He tells James and John, "Go... you've just been called by the man we prayed for our entire lives... Go now!"

CBN's Ashley Key asked Nick how this role, playing the father of James and John, has affected him personally. "It gave me insight that I never thought I'd have into what it's like to be a dad. I'm not a dad in real life. But when I stepped into the role, and I've told people it was, he was downloaded to me from God like it was a literal download, when I got the script. I didn't do script analysis. I actually, I was careless in the audition and I thought I bombed it. And playing him has given me a strong taste of what it's like to step into the shoes of a loving father. And that's why I kind of, I give all credence and credit to God because I don't know what it's like. So how am I playing that so well? If it isn't him inspiring me to do that?" The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture: In My Father’s house there are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

Lyrics:
There’s a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.

Refrain
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blessed;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

Refrain

To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.

Refrain

Keeps me singing as I go.
All my life was wrecked
By sin and strife,
Discord filled my heart with pain,
Jesus swept across the broken strings,
Stirred the slumbering chords again.

Refrain

Feasting on the riches of His grace,
Resting ’neath His sheltering wing,
Always looking on His smiling face,
That is why I shout and sing.

Refrain

Though sometimes He leads
Through waters deep,
Trials fall across the way,
Though sometimes the path
Seems rough and steep,
See His footprints all the way.

Refrain

Soon He’s coming back
To welcome me,
Far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight
To worlds unknown,
I shall reign with Him on high.
