His aim with this exhortation is to make the case that we as Christians have a calling to be involved in the political conversation of our society. He hopes to show through an examination of scripture that advocating for issues, legislation and candidates that are in line with (or at least do not do violence to) Biblical principles is entirely consistent with what the Lord desires in the life of a true disciple of Christ. He will conclude the exhortation with a short list of issues for which every Christian should advocate strenuously. He calls them "Hills To Die On."

Republican-led House passes $886B defense bill restricting abortion access over Democratic opposition
|
|
The Republican-led House narrowly approved a $886 billion defense policy bill Friday that restricts service member access to abortions, blocks transgender transition care and limits diversity training, endorsing a conservative agenda for the military over the objections of many Democrats.
The National Defense Authorization Act passed 219-210 with near total Democratic opposition after right-wing Republicans loaded the annual, typically bipartisan bill with amendments designed to remove policies targeting race, gender and other "woke" social justice issues from the Pentagon.
The legislation notably undoes a Defense Department policy providing leave and travel reimbursement for troops who need to go to another state for reproductive health care services, including abortions. It also prevents the military health plan from covering gender-transition surgeries or gender-affirming hormone therapy and strips funding from the Pentagon’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
“Today was an important victory for our men and women in uniform who risk their lives to keep us safe. It was also an important victory for every American in this country that wants to see our military focused on our enemies abroad, not on wokeness and all of the indoctrination attempts you're seeing within the Pentagon," said House Majority Leader Rep. - Lord, we praise You for this bill, but we are aware that it still must traverse the Senate and be signed by Biden to become law. Let the reconciliation that will inevitably come stop the runaway train of sin that has caused evil policies to take away from our warfighters. We ask for a mighty move of repentance through both houses of Congress.

Biden says 3,000 Reserve troops can be sent to
Europe to support NATO, Ukraine
|
|
President Joe Biden signed an executive order Thursday that makes as many as 3,000 American reservists available to go to Europe in support of NATO efforts amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The purpose of the order, Biden said, is to better support Operation Atlantic Resolve, a mission that launched almost a decade ago after Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine.
“Since 2014, U.S. European Command has provided combat-credible forces for rotational deployment to Europe … to demonstrate good commitment to NATO,” Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Sims, director of operations for the Joint Staff, told reporters Thursday. “This reaffirms the unwavering support and commitment to the defense of NATO’s eastern flank in wake of Russia’s illegal, unprovoked war on Ukraine.”
In Biden’s order, he said the move making thousands of Reserve troops available is needed to back up American forces already involved in the defensive operation.
“Reserve mobilizations under this authorization are not to exceed 3,000 total members at any one time, of whom not more than 450 may be members of the Individual Ready Reserve,” Biden said in a letter informing Congress of his order. “These Reserve component forces are to augment the active forces … to enhance the United States’ ability to sustain its heightened level of presence and operations.” (Stripes.com) Read more here. |

- Lord, at a time when our own borders are overwhelmed and many reservists are deployed to assist with the protection of them, this seems counter-productive. We ask for a reversal of this order, and a more common-sense approach to the deploying our reservists.

Putin Warns of ‘Reciprocal’ Use of Cluster Bombs in Ukraine After Biden Sends Controversial Munitions to Kyiv

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview published Sunday that Russia has a “sufficient stockpile” of cluster munitions, and warned that Russia “reserves the right to take reciprocal action” if Ukraine uses the controversial weapons.
In his first comments on the delivery of cluster munitions to Ukraine from the U.S., Putin said that Russia has not used cluster bombs in its war in Ukraine so far.
“Until now, we have not done this, we have not used it, and we have not had such a need,” he said, although the use of cluster bombs by both Russia and Ukraine has been widely documented, including by The Associated Press and international humanitarian organizations.
Rossiya TV reporter Pavel Zarubin published excerpts of the interview to his Telegram channel Sunday ahead of a scheduled broadcast Sunday night.

1. Prime Minister Netanyahu released from hospital - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was released from the hospital on Sunday after his overnight stay following admittance on Saturday afternoon to the emergency department at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer.
On Sunday morning, the Prime Minister’s Office stated that Netanyahu had undergone several tests at Sheba and they all came back normal. He was released from the hospital with a holter monitor, a type of portable electrocardiogram for cardiac monitoring.
According to sources from Sheba Medical Center, the prime minister lost consciousness while at home in Caesarea on Saturday and fell as a result, hitting his head.
He was brought to the emergency room from the north of the country and was fully conscious upon arrival at the hospital, located close to the central city of Tel Aviv. (Read more)

2. Herzog to meet Biden, address Congress on US visit - World Israel News
Israeli President Isaac Herzog will depart for the United States on Monday where he is scheduled to visit the White House and address a joint session of Congress.
Herzog’s trip to Washington and New York this week is meant to strengthen the ties between the two countries, “which are placed above all controversy,” his office said.
He will meet with President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and other senior officials during the visit, which wraps up after he spends Shabbat in New York. He will address Congress on Tuesday.
“I am very much looking forward to representing the entire nation of Israel as president of the State of Israel before the elected representatives of the American people, to mark the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel,” Herzog said ahead of the trip.

3. Terrorist from today's shooting attack apprehended in Bethlehem - Israel National News
Following precise reports from the Shin Bet leading to an army raid in Beit Lechem (Bethlehem), the IDF apprehended the terrorist behind today's terror attack near Tekoa Junction.
Soldiers apprehended two additional suspects and confiscated the terrorist’s vehicle, which had an M-16 inside it. The unit was attacked during the raid and responded with riot dispersal measures.
35-year-old El-Roi Kapach, whose in-laws were murdered in a similar attack 18 years ago, and his daughters Rachel (9) and Avigail (14) were wounded when terrorists opened fire from a passing vehicle at the Tekoa Junction.
The girls were lightly injured by shrapnel and treated for shock while El-Roi is in moderate condition after undergoing surgery for gunshot wounds to his upper body. (Read more)

In a series of strategic political and military moves, Hezbollah is intensifying preparations for an imminent confrontation with Israel, drawing global attention and raising concerns about regional stability.
Under the guise of the battle over an Israeli border barrier, the Lebanese terrorist group aims to preserve its option of invading the Galilee, while also serving Iran’s interests in establishing a foothold in Syria.
Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, is promoting the deployment of his forces along the border, with over 30 observation posts in place there. Lebanese sources suggest that the group is readying itself for a prolonged conflict with Israel, which it believes is gradually accepting new rules of engagement set by Nasrallah. (Read more)

5. Top IDF officer tells mayors chance of conflict with Hezbollah appears low - Times of Israel
IDF Northern Command chief Ori Gordin told mayors of towns near the Lebanese border that the military believes the chances of an immediate conflict with the Hezbollah terror group are low, a local council said Sunday.
Gordin shared the assessment during a meeting Friday with municipal leaders and said residents should continue to go about their daily routines, the Metula Local Council said in a statement. He also updated them about the military’s preparations for various potential scenarios.
Council heads “expressed their position regarding the winds of war that are frequently heard in the media recently,” and described the feelings of locals over recent disturbances on the border. (Read more)

1. GOP Rep. Moore: FISA Section 702 Reauthorization on the Table to Counter FBI Stonewalling Congress - Breitbart
On the docket for lawmakers is whether or not to reauthorize Section 702 of FISA beyond 2023, and Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, says Congress may not do so given alleged abuses and stonewalling by the FBI and its director, Christopher Wray.
Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) authorizes targeted intelligence collection of specific types of foreign intelligence information.
That includes information concerning international terrorism or the acquisition of weapons of mass destruction, according to the FBI website.
During an interview with Mobile, AL radio FM Talk 106.5, Moore, also a member of the House Freedom Caucus, suggested the FBI’s ability to use Section 702 was in peril.
“That’s why we as members of the Judiciary Committee — we’re looking at FISA reauthorization, 702 section, where they are spying,” he said. “The PATRIOT Act was well intended years ago, but the FBI and government agencies have used that to spy on American citizens. So, we’re at a crossroads. We may not reauthorize 702. I think we have to limit the FBI’s power to collect data on American citizens, civil liberties issues.” (Read more)

2. Report Contradicts Secret Service Claim No Fingerprints Were Found on White House Cocaine Baggie - Breitbart
Officials at the White House know who brought cocaine into the White House and have confirmed that finding via fingerprint analysis, according to a report which contradicts a statement released by the Secret Service.
A security source told Soldier of Fortune magazine, “We know who handled it… We’ve known since last week.”
According to the report — which Breitbart News has not independently verified — two sources disclosed the name of the person who is believed to have handled the cocaine, but the magazine is withholding the name pending official confirmation. The report alleged that the second test by the FBI “brought back a hit on fingerprints.” (Read more)

Hunter Biden and his business associates attempted to get Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky a U.S. visa shortly after the president’s son became a board member of the Ukrainian energy firm, according to emails reviewed by the Daily Caller.
The emails in Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop archive show a coordinated attempt to obtain a visa for Zlochevsky while he was being investigated by Ukrainian authorities for corruption.
Biden and some of his associates were potentially “engaging in registrable lobbying activity,” and one email indicates that Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) violations could have been occurring outside of the exchanges, a FARA expert who reviewed the emails told the Caller.
From 2014-16, Hunter Biden worked with former Burisma board member Devon Archer, Rosemont Seneca adviser Eric Schwerin, former Boies Schiller & Flexner LLP Partner Heather King and other business associates to assist Mykola Zlochevsky with his visa reapplication process after the State Department revoked his visa in 2014. 4. Cycling Officials Boot Men From Competing In Women’s Division - Daily Caller
The International Cycling Union (UCI), the world cycling governing body, announced Friday that it will bar biological males who transition after puberty from competing in the women’s division, the Associated Press reported.
Recent public outcry over transgender athlete Austin Killips, the first openly transgender athlete to win a U.S. race in the female division, prompted the cycling officials to review the transgender athlete policy and ban males from the woman’s division.
“From now on, female transgender athletes who have transitioned after (male) puberty will be prohibited from participating in women’s events on the UCI International Calendar — in all categories — in the various disciplines,” the international federation said in a statement, according to the AP.

5. Kamala Harris Gaffes, Says We Need To ‘Reduce Population’ To Clean Up The Air - Daily Caller
Vice President Kamala Harris said Friday in Baltimore, Maryland, that reducing population can contribute to improved air and water quality. Harris made the gaffe during remarks promoting the Biden administration’s massive green spending agenda. “When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water,” Harris said.
“The climate crisis impacts everybody, but it does not impact all communities equally,” she added. “Poor communities, rural communities, native communities and communities of color are often the hardest hit and the least able to recover.”
Harris made the remarks during a speech at Coppin State University in Baltimore to announce $20 billion in taxpayer funds that the Biden administration has made available for green energy initiatives via the Inflation Reduction Act, according to The Baltimore Sun.
The White House clarified that Harris misspoke and had intended to say “pollution” rather than “population,” referencing the official speech transcript posted to the White House’s website in communication with the Daily Caller News Foundation. (Read more)

6. House Republicans Move To Cut Funding For FBI, Protect Whistleblowers- Daily Wire
House Republicans have moved to cut $1 billion in funding for the FBI and protect federal whistleblowers as lawmakers continue to question the bureau over its treatment of conservatives.
The bill introducing the cuts was passed by Republicans on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies and was opposed by Democrats on the committee. If the bill, which could face an uphill battle in the Senate and from the White House, becomes law it would cut FBI funding by about 9%.
The proposed bill also prevents funds from being used for the FBI’s office of diversity and inclusion, as well as other agency diversity offices that fall under the scope of the appropriations bill, which covers a variety of federal agencies including the Commerce Department and the Department of Justice.
The DOJ would also get its funding cut by $2 billion and the Commerce Department would lose $1.4 in discretionary spending. “The bill holds the Department of Justice accountable and improves our immigration court system. It supports state and local law enforcement and provides critical resources to combat illegal drugs flooding our country,” Appropriations Chairwoman Kay Granger (R-TX) said. (Read more)

7. Exclusive: Dem Rep Sean Casten Hit With Ethics Complaint for Allegedly Abusing Official Resources - Daily Caller
The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) is filing an ethics complaint against Democratic Illinois Rep. Sean Casten for allegedly abusing government resources, the Daily Caller has learned.
Casten is being accused of abusing official resources by featuring official government resources in tweets from his campaign account, according to the complaint. Federal law prohibits lawmakers from using official resources for campaign purposes, according to FACT.
“The legal violations in this case are clear and there are no facts that can excuse them. In fact, a review of Rep. Casten’s campaign social media accounts demonstrates that he consistently uses official resources for political purposes and that he has used numerous different types of taxpayer-funded resources for his campaign,” the complaint reads. 8. New Criminal Investigation Ramps Up Over Attempts To Overturn 2020 Election - Daily Wire
A new criminal investigation is under investigation in the Grand Canyon State into alleged attempts by Republicans to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, put a group of prosecutors on the case back in May which appears to focus on 22 Republicans who signed and transmitted official documents “claiming to be the state’s chosen electors for Trump in the electoral college,” The Washington Post reported.
One set of documents was signed by GOP activists while another set was signed by Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward and other “high-profile Republicans,” the report said.
Investigators have already made contact with many of those who allegedly signed the documents and their attorneys, the report said.
Trump does not appear to be a target in the criminal investigation at this point but that could change depending on if new evidence emerges in the case. A similar criminal investigation is also underway in Michigan over alleged attempts by Republicans in the state to overturn the results of the election. (Read more)

9. ‘Dangerous Rhetoric’: Hunter Biden Lawyers Tell Trump Cease and Desist Social Media Attacks - The Epoch Times
Hunter Biden’s lawyers have issued a cease and desist to Donald Trump’s legal team, demanding he not post about Mr. Biden anymore for fear of “physical and violent action” on the part of Mr. Trump’s followers against Mr. Biden or his family.
“I am a little surprised to have to send this because it would seem that Mr. Trump is currently facing enough legal problems that he would not want to create any more liability for saying and doing things that could result in harm and injury, and because it appears you have enough to do in defending your client in various arenas now and yet to come than to have to deal with one more legal issue and case,” wrote attorney Abbe David Lowell, who represents Mr. Biden. The letter, sent Thursday, was first obtained by ABC News.
Mr. Lowell wrote that Mr. Trump’s followers are “easy-to-trigger” and citing Jan. 6, 2021, events and their “tragic, even fatal, consequences” as a reason why something that would normally be a figure of speech cannot be considered so in Mr. Trump’s case.
“We have seen that what might pass as such a phrase when uttered by rationale people is heard by too many in this country as some terrible injustice for which they must take physical and violent action,” Mr. Lowell wrote. (Read more)

These ‘urban’ cities were ruled by the Bible’s
King David: archaeologist discovery
|

An archaeologist claims the Bible’s King David could’ve ruled over a large kingdom, complete with roads connecting fortified cities around Jerusalem.
Yosef Garfinkel, a professor at the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, says he found evidence of urban settlement in organized cities dating to around 1,000 BCE, which would be during the reign of King David, as documented by the school and published this week in the Jerusalem Journal of Archaeology.
However, not everyone agrees with his allegedly historic discovery.
Garfinkel’s findings would mean urban cities in that area could have been established more than 200 years earlier than previously believed — and during the reign of King David, who ruled from 1104 to 960 BCE, during the Iron Age.
He claims the cities all featured two parallel walls in the center and organized roads, suggesting the network was connected to one kingdom. Read More

JUST IN: Trump to Host Viewing of ‘Sound of Freedom’

Former President Trump is hosting a screening of the anti-sex trafficking film “Sound of Freedom” at his golf club in New Jersey. Trump will be joined by filmmaker Eduardo Verástegui, actor Jim Caviezel, and Tim Ballard the real-life undercover DHS agent who left his job to rescue kids from sex slavery. President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will host a screening of the film Sound of Freedom at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster on July 19, 2023. The screening will be attended by club members and supporters. Sound of Freedom grossed $41.7 million in the first week of its release and opened at No. 1 in Texas, Florida, and Arizona theaters. The film is based on the true story of federal agent Tim Ballard’s mission to save children from child sex traffickers in Colombia. Liberal media outlets like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Hollywood Reporter have refused to review the film, while publications like Rolling Stone, Washington Post, CNN, and The Guardian have trashed the film and mocked the millions of movie-goers who purchased tickets to screenings.
In his first month in office, President Trump said he was “prepared to bring the full force and weight of our government” to end human trafficking, and signed an executive order directing federal law enforcement to prioritize demolishing the criminal organizations behind forced labor, sex trafficking, and child exploitation. President Trump’s leadership resulted in a 14% increase in human trafficking convictions in 2017 over the prior year. In 2017, President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence raised the issue of human trafficking to a top priority for America’s intelligence agencies. In 2019, President Trump invited Tim Ballard to the White House to share his experiences and highlight the importance of President Trump’s border wall. As President, Donald J. Trump took historic steps to end human trafficking and protect the innocent. In January 2020, President Trump recognized the 20th Anniversary of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and signed an Executive Order on Combating Human Trafficking and Online Child Exploitation in the United States, creating the first ever White House position solely dedicated to combatting human trafficking. We pray the viewing of "Sound of Freedom" will create a righteous-fervor and determination in saving trafficked children in the U.S. and around the world!! Bring abundant finances to support organizations searching for children and traffickers, so all that is needed will be provided and obstacles will fall away! We declare in the name of Jesus, that all that is in the dark will be brought to light and no trafficker or participant will be able to hide, bringing immediate rescue and justice to suffering children!!- Amen and Amen
