Prayer Warriors!
Now is the time to pray. What happens in this fall is being shaped by what is happening right now, during the summer.
In the House, we have elected leaders who are doing what they were elected to do: protect life. The pro-life cause is maintaining and taking back ground in committee, particularly on spending bills.
They will not be able to get this through alone. They need the Church, the Body of Believers, to stand behind them in prayer and in truth to get them enacted.
The opposition is already fierce, and the groundwork is already being laid to assign blame if these important things cannot be carried all the way through into law.
There are two important things to keep in mind:
1. The Senate filibuster may supposedly cool the passions of the House, but the passions of the House can be put to effective use to cool the spending passions of the bureaucrats. If the Constitution requires revenue bills to begin in the House, then slowing down spending to stay within revenues can begin in the House, too.
2. The House majority conference is not as divided as some would have us believe. The three main caucuses in the majority are the Republican Study Committee, the Freedom Caucus, and the Republican Governance Group. Many Members are members of more than one of these groups. They have far more in common than some would have us believe. Speaker McCarthy and the current House majority have been frequently outperforming expectations this year.
Have faith that Our Great God can and will be faithful to complete the work he is doing in our Nation!
Time for prayer!
Oh God! Give us faith! Give us faith to believe that You began a work in this Nation. Give us faith to believe that Your Word is relevant to our Nation and its laws. Give us faith to honor You in our history, our present, and our future.
Lord, hold up our leaders that are seeking to honor You. Lord, crumble the weak foundations of those who are building their lives and our laws on lies and sand. Give Your people courage to believe that You can do mighty things and are able to turn the tide in this Nation. Embolden your people in high position and no position, with many letters after their name and no letters. May Your people stand up to the evil in this land, declare “Enough!”, and push back.
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6)

Our Weekly Call to Repentance

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance
Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#
Dear Saints,
A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.
Indeed, He commands us to "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2
How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?
We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)
Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:
" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24
You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:
717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#
WELCOME!
". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place." (2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
