Pro-Life Group Celebrates Justin Trudeau Resignation

The following statement is from Campaign Life Coalition, one of the top pro-life groups in Canada: We thank God for the news this morning that Justin Trudeau, Canada’s most pro-abortion Prime Minister, is stepping down as Liberal leader. “Trudeau has done more than any other Prime Minister in our country’s history to move our country away from its Christian foundation toward an anti-life and anti-family dystopia that undermined the rights of Canadians,” said CLC National President Jeff Gunnarson. “Thank God he’s stepping down.”
“Trudeau brought in his nefarious ‘MAiD’/euthanasia regime, legalizing the killing of our sick and elderly. He used billions of taxpayer dollars to fund abortion organizations and to expand the killing of preborn babies through abortion, both at home and abroad. He attacked our country’s fantastic pro-life pregnancy centres with proposed legislation that threatened to strip them of their charitable status. He insanely brought in a free contraception plan at a time when our country’s fertility rate had plummeted to an all-time low of 1.26,” Gunnarson added. House Passes Laken Riley Act, First Bill of
New Congress

The Act requires Homeland Security to detain criminal illegal immigrants and allows states to sue the federal government over immigration policy.
|
|
The House of Representatives has passed the Laken Riley Act with a vote of 264–159. Almost all Republicans and 48 Democrats united to push the bill through the lower chamber of Congress.
The legislation requires the Department of Homeland Security to detain illegal immigrants who have committed certain crimes, such as theft, burglary, or shoplifting.
It also allows states to sue the federal government for injunctive relief over “certain immigration-related decisions or alleged failures” if they resulted in harm to that state.
These can include the failure to detain an individual who has already been ordered to be deported, or neglecting to fulfill vetting requirements for immigrants seeking to enter the United States.
“The tragic and preventable murder of Laken Riley serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of failed leadership,” Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) said at a press conference before the vote.
“The Laken Riley Act is a direct step toward ensuring that criminal illegal aliens are swiftly and permanently removed from our communities and our country,” (The Epoch Times)

- Abba, we give You praise and glory for the Laken Riley Act being passed in the House, we ask for its passage in the Senate as well. We ask that each and every provision of this law be implemented in each state and that all Attorneys General will ensure that this implementation happens.
Father God, we ask for Your help in finding and arresting all illegals covered in this law before they can hurt anyone else. Provide downloads of wisdom and understanding to those charged with carrying out the provisions, open doors for anyone who has information that needs to be shared. Holy Spirit, send out your angels of protection to block and stop any attacks before they happen, let the fear of God pour out on all illegals who need to be deported, give them wisdom to go home before they are sent home. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Lord of Hosts, majestic, powerful, and possessing the authority of God.

Thousands of Californians Flee Massive Palisades Fire Fueled by Strong Winds
|

Coastal homes were seen burning in Pacific Palisades as the fire continues to rage.
|
|
|
A fast-moving wildfire erupted in the Southern California coastal city of Pacific Palisades, about 20 miles west of Los Angeles, destroying homes as Santa Ana winds ripped through the region Jan. 7.
The Palisades Fire burned an unknown number of homes in the city as thousands of residents were forced to flee.
The fire had grown to about 2 square miles (1,300 acres) by 3 p.m. and was continuing to spread throughout the residential area.
Many homes could be seen burning in the fire area, and there were reports of police and fire crews rescuing people from burning buildings, but no reports of injuries surfaced by the afternoon.
Traffic slowed nearly to a halt on the Pacific Coast Highway as residents attempted to evacuate. Some opted to exit their cars and start walking out of the area.
Actor James Woods posted a video on X saying he was standing in his driveway getting ready to evacuate at about 11:45 a.m. The video showed his neighbor’s home overcome by flames. Later posts show the flames nearing Woods’ home.
“We were blessed to have LA fire and police [departments] doing their jobs so well,” Woods posted on X. “We are safe and out. There are several elementary schools in our neighborhood and there was an enormous community effort to evacuate the children safely.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

The fires are now being described by media as "apocalyptic." The Santa Ana winds are blowing at 100 mph, and the fires are spreading very quickly, at the rate of 5 football fields PER MINUTE! Two citizens are now reported dead, with multiple injuries.

Please, stop the winds and create clouds full of rain to drench this parched dry ground, protect homes, businesses and wildlife from the scorching flames. Holy Spirit, send Your angels of protection out to save and rescue those who can't get out of the way of the fire, make a way where there is no way for residents and fire fighters, there is nothing too difficult for You.
Jesus, You are the God of hope. Wrap Your arms around those who have lost their homes, their businesses, let Your sweet presence be a place of rest for Your kids who are suffering. We ask You to show forth Your power and glory through miracles that can only be from You, We ask this in the name El Roi, the God Who Sees everything.

Jimmy Carter continues to lie in state at Capitol Rotunda ahead of his state funeral
|

WASHINGTON (AP) — Admirers of President Jimmy Carter from around the country visited Washington on Wednesday to view his casket as he lies in state as part of state funeral rites.
The Georgia Democrat and 39th president died Dec. 29 at the age of 100.
Carter served as president from 1977-81, winning office as an outsider in the wake of the Vietnam War and Watergate. He endured a rocky four years of economic unrest and international crises that ended with his defeat to Republican Ronald Reagan. But he also lived long enough to see historians reassess his presidency more charitably than voters did in 1980.
“President Carter was the governor of the great state of Georgia when I was born,” said Lyn Leverett, among the people who waited in below-freezing weather Wednesday. “So he’s been around my, you know, my whole entire being. And I just want to pay my respects to a decent person.”
He was remembered a day earlier at the Capitol for his deep religious faith, long public service and decades of humanitarian work beyond what he accomplished in politics.
Vice President Kamala Harris and Speaker Mike Johnson were among those who offered bipartisan tributes to Carter in the Capitol Rotunda, where his flag-draped casket remains atop the Lincoln catafalque for members of the public to pay their respects. (AP) Read more here.

We ask You to comfort all of those grieving his "going home" to be with You, remind them they will see him again because of Your love for all of us. Thank You Jesus, for his heart of love for Your people and his heart of service to those less fortunate, for every house he helped to build and person he helped to feed.
Father God, thank you for all who loved him, all who came to Washington to pay their respects to our 37th President. We ask that he always be remembered, not because he was President, though that's important, but that he was Your son who allowed his "light to shine for all the world to see", he was one who knew his Lord and walked with him daily. We ask this in the name Jehovah Rohi, The Lord Our Shepherd.

Trump asks Supreme Court to block his criminal hush money sentencing
|

President-elect Donald Trump has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to prevent Friday's sentencing in his New York criminal hush money case.
In a filing Wednesday morning, defense lawyers argued that sentencing Trump -- who has attempted to halt the case based on a claim of presidential immunity -- would damage "the institution of the Presidency and the operations of the federal government."
"Most fundamentally, forcing President Trump to defend a criminal case and appear for a criminal sentencing hearing at the apex of the Presidential transition creates a constitutionally intolerable risk of disruption to national security and America's vital interests," Trump's lawyers said.
The Supreme Court has asked for a response from prosecutors in New York by Thursday at 10 a.m. ET.
The Manhattan district attorney's office, when asked for comment, said they will respond in court papers.
With their application to the Supreme Court, Trump's lawyers have asked the country's highest court for an unprecedented intervention in the ongoing criminal case of a former president -- whose appointment of three justices cemented the court's conservative majority -- that would effectively toss his criminal conviction less than two weeks ahead of his inauguration.

Abba, Your son, Donald, needs Your help. The legal system in New York State is very much against him and has convicted him in a hush money case. We are asking You to protect him from these convictions by speaking to the hearts of the Supreme Court Justices concerning his sentencing. Father God, we want what You want. We ask You to guide and direct the Justices to speak Your words over this request, give them wisdom and understanding beyond their own abilities, download anything that is in the darkness bringing it into the light.
Jesus, we ask You to speak to Judge Merchan and Manhattan DA Bragg, show them how You see what is being done, allow the fear of You to move in their hearts bringing them to face the truth of what they have done and are doing. We ask for truth to reign over this sentencing decision, in Jesus' name. We ask this in the name Jehovah Jireh, The Lord Will Provide all that is needed.

1. Three soldiers fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip - Israel National News
The IDF cleared for publication on Wednesday that Staff Sergeant Matityahu Ya’akov Perel, aged 22, from Beit El, Staff Sergeant Kanaoo Kasa, aged 22, from Beit Shemesh, and Staff Sergeant Nevo Fisher, aged 20, from Bruchin, fell during combat in the northern Gaza Strip.
The three were soldiers in the 46th Armored Battalion, 401st "Iron Trails" Brigade.
According to the IDF, during a Nahal Brigade operation in Beit Hanoun, a tank from the 401st Brigade drove over high-powered explosives planted underground. The explosive went off, killing the soldiers and wounding three others, including an officer who was severely wounded.
The officer was evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment and his family has been notified. (Read more)

2. Bodies of hostages Youssef and Hamza Ziyadne retrieved from Gaza - JNS
Israel Defense Forces located the bodies of hostages Youssef and Hamza Ziyadne during military operations in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed on Wednesday evening.
In a statement shared by the Defense Ministry, Katz expressed his “deep condolences to the Ziyadne family upon the discovery of the bodies of Youssef and Hamza, who were kidnapped by Hamas murderers on Oct. 7 and were rescued in a heroic operation by our soldiers.”
“We continue to do everything to fulfill our supreme moral obligation—the return of all the hostages, living and dead, to Israeli soil,” he added.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his “deep sorrow over the bitter news that the Ziyadne family received today. (Read more)

3. Faking a famine: UN blocks food aid to Gaza - World Israel News
Every day, the UN, international organizations, and the media claim that everyone in Gaza is starving to death because they have no food, and every day Israel’s COGAT aid coordination agency lists exactly how many trucks filled with humanitarian aid have actually entered Gaza.
On Jan 2, for example, 189 trucks filled with aid entered Gaza. Only 147 trucks however were collected on the Gazan side with another 800 trucks worth of aid waiting to be collected.
Food has been piling up and rotting on the Gaza side because it’s not being delivered by the UN.
Politicians, activists, and the media have spent over a year perpetuating a myth that Israel is blocking food deliveries into Gaza when there is actually more aid coming in than the aid groups complaining about Israel ‘blocking aid’ can handle or be bothered to deliver to Gazans. (Read more)

4. Ireland Officially Joins South Africa’s Genocide Case Against Israel - Algemeiner
Ireland has officially joined South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the latest move by Dublin against the Jewish state amid a downward spiral in relations between the two countries.
In a brief statement released on Tuesday, the top UN court said that Ireland the prior day joined Nicaragua, Colombia, Mexico, Libya, Bolivia, Turkey, the Maldives, Chile, Spain, and “Palestine” in asking to intervene in the case.
Since December 2023, South Africa has been pursuing its case at the ICJ accusing Israel of committing “state-led genocide” in its defensive war against the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in Gaza.
Nearly a year later, in November, the Irish parliament passed a non-binding motion saying that “genocide is being perpetrated before our eyes by Israel in Gaza.” As the measure passed, Irish Foreign Minister Micheal Martin said that the government intended to join South Africa’s case before the end of the year. 5. Islamic group seeking to destroy Israel, create caliphate to hold Canada conference - Jerusalem Post
A group seeking to destroy the State of Israel and replace southern European, Middle Eastern, and African countries with an Islamic caliphate is set to hold a conference in Canada next Saturday.
Hizb ut-Tahrir will be holding its annual Khilafah event in Hamilton, Ontario, according to Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish, who had objected to the group holding the event in her city.
After the Islamic group – which has been banned in many countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany – indicated in advertisements that it was moving its January 18 event to Hamilton, Parrish said on X/Twitter that she was “pleased that the peaceful and respectful residents of Mississauga will not have to endure the fall out” of the “extremists” conference. 1. Man with multiple weapons caught trying to enter Capitol building ahead of Trump’s visit - DML News
Just hours before President-elect Donald Trump was scheduled to arrive at the U.S. Capitol Wednesday afternoon, a man armed with a machete and multiple knives was caught trying to enter the Capitol building.
The Capitol currently has an extra flow of visitors, as former President Jimmy Carter’s casket is in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, so lawmakers and members of the public can pay their respects.
Trump is expected to pay his respects to Carter in the Rotunda on Wednesday as well, and is also scheduled to attend Carter’s funeral at the National Cathedral on Thursday. (Read more)

2. Group launches $7M effort to mobilize Jewish voters for NYC races — including for mayor - New York Post
A new group is launching a $7 million campaign to mobilize Jewish voters for New York City’s municipal elections — including the crucial race for mayor, The Post has learned. The Jewish Voters Action Network will target voters in 12 City Council districts with a large concentration of Jewish residents to make sure they get to the polls. Every council seat is up for grabs this year. There also are races for mayor, comptroller and public advocate.
The group’s multi-pronged effort will focus first on trying to get independent and Republican Jewish voters to officially switch to the Democratic Party so they can participate in the heavily Democratic city’s June 24 Dem primary races amid a local rise in antisemitism.
Such an effort could make a big difference because overall turnout at the Democratic primaries is usually low — and whoever wins the Dem primaries in races such as for City Hall usually score in November. The deadline to re-register in a different party in Feb. 14. (Read more)

3. Mexico disperses migrant caravans heading to US ahead of Trump inauguration - Fox News
The Mexican government is working hard to break up migrant caravans trying to make the treacherous journey north to the U.S. ahead of President-elect Trump’s inauguration in less than two weeks' time.
Faced with the prospect of massive tariffs on goods under the new administration, Mexico has been dispersing migrants throughout the country to keep them far from the U.S. border, including dropping them off at the once vibrant tourist hotspot of Acapulco, a beach resort town on Mexico's Pacific coast made famous by the jet set in the 1950s and ’60s.
The Mexican government has embraced a policy of "dispersion and exhaustion" to reduce the number of migrants reaching the U.S. border. Authorities let migrants walk for days until they're exhausted and then offer to bus them to various cities where they say their immigration status will be reviewed. (Read more)

4. Biden Acknowledges He Might Not Have Been Able to Serve Four More Years - The New York Times
President Biden acknowledged in a new interview released on Wednesday that he might not have had the vitality to serve another four years in office, even as he insisted that he could have won re-election had he stayed in the race.
Mr. Biden, 82, who abandoned his bid for a second term in July under enormous pressure from Democrats panicked over his faltering debate performance against former President Donald J. Trump, maintained that he was still in good enough shape to run the country as he finishes his term.
“So far, so good,” he told USA Today. “But who knows what I’m going to be when I’m 86 years old?” That was exactly the point many Democrats raised privately for months before the issue exploded into public view with the televised debate in June, when a frail-looking Mr. Biden struggled to finish sentences and at times appeared blank or confused. 5. Giuliani Is Held in Contempt of Court in Defamation Case - DML News
A federal judge on Monday held Rudolph W. Giuliani in contempt of court for failing to cooperate in the handover of $11 million of his personal assets to Georgia poll workers he falsely accused of helping to steal the 2020 presidential election.
Mr. Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, has so far failed to turn over the bulk of his personal assets as a down payment on the $148 million judgment the poll workers, Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Shaye Moss, won in a defamation lawsuit.
The judge, Lewis J. Liman of U.S. District Court in Manhattan, has yet to detail what specific sanctions Mr. Giuliani faces. But being held in contempt could possibly hinder the former mayor’s attempts to hang onto his Palm Beach, Fla., condo. (Read more)

6. DOJ plans to release part of Jack Smith’s report - DML News
What ‘peaceful transition’? Joe Biden’s Justice Department is making the most of their final days in office to take digs at President-elect Donald Trump and his support base, in what appears to be a strategic effort to leave a written record labeling MAGA supporters as ‘dangerous extremists’ and Trump as a ‘felon.’
In a press release on Monday, the DOJ touted all the charges and arrests surrounding the January 6, 2021 Capitol protest event. Now the DOJ is reportedly planning to release special counsel Jack Smith’s ‘findings’ on Trump’s ‘efforts to undo the 2020 presidential election.’
From the Associated Press: The Justice Department said Wednesday that it intends to release special counsel Jack Smith’s findings on Donald Trump’s efforts to undo the results of the 2020 presidential election but will keep under wraps for now the rest of the report focused on the president-elect’s hoarding of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate. Stupidocrisy: Allstate CEO Post-Terror Lecture

The Sugar Bowl game between Notre Dame and Georgia was postponed a day because of the Islamic terror attack on New Orleans. Before the game began, Allstate CEO Tom Wilson (no known relation to me) addressed viewers with one of the most insulting and stupid monologues ever presented in the wake of such a horrible event. Wilson said that Americans were addicted to divisiveness and lectured viewers on the need to accept people’s imperfections and differences. In watching this little speech, delivered with alligator-tear sincerity, I had to suspend my disbelief to process the tone-deaf remarks of Mr. Wilson and wonder how a company like Allstate could allow such a mischaracterization of Americans.
Wilson said, “Welcome to the All State Sugar Bowl. Wednesday tragedy struck the New Orleans community. Our prayers are with the victims and their families. We also need to be stronger together by overcoming an addiction to divisiveness and negativity. Join Allstate working in local communities all across America to amplify the positive, increase trust, and accept people’s imperfections and differences. Together we win.” My best take on this is that it was hastily put together without examining how the words Wilson used would be received by the American public, who was stunned by yet another bloody attack on innocent civilians by a representative of the “religion of peace.” But it’s difficult to give him the benefit of the doubt when he is lecturing all of us on our addiction to divisiveness and negativity. California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency as the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, and Woodley fires burn. Over 30,000 residents have evacuated, with heavy traffic forcing some to flee on foot. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported over 10,000 homes are in danger. The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning due to extremely strong winds, creating particularly dangerous fire conditions.
Pray with us that residents can evacuate safely and for those who have lost loved ones and homes. Pray for the firefighters and first responders as they seek to contain the wildfire and help residents. Pray for state and local leaders to make effective decisions as they coordinate and manage efforts to protect the communities.

President Joe Biden approved a major disaster declaration for California on Wednesday due to the wildfires.
Fire department helicopters, which were grounded due to extreme winds, are back in the air, dropping water on the wildfires in Los Angeles County. Mayor Karen Bass called the sight from the air “scary” as she returned to Los Angeles from Ghana. Mayor Bass stated, “LAFD helicopters are back to dropping water and hundreds of firefighters continue to be on the scene to help respond to the Palisades fire and Hurst fire.”
The Palisades fire is estimated to have spread to more than 15,000 acres, and thousands of structures have been destroyed. An LA fire chief said, “High, high, high winds – I’ve never seen winds [like this] in my 25-year career. It’s an active, active fire fight with our firefighters, and they’re doing the very best to protect our people within this area.”
The Eaton fire now covers over 10,000 acres, with hundreds of structures burned and two people killed, and the Hurst fire has spread to 700 acres. Neither of the two has been contained. The smaller Woodley fire and the Tyler fire are reportedly contained.
Red flag warnings will remain in place until Thursday evening. Roughly 80,000 residents are under evacuation orders.
Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said during a press conference that there are “not enough firefighters in L.A. County to address four separate fires of this magnitude.” He added, “The L.A. County Fire Department was prepared for one or two major brush fires, but not four, especially given the sustained winds and low humidity… This is not a normal red flag alert.”

Nigel Farage Vows to Fund Inquiry Into Muslim Child Rape Grooming Scandal if Labour Government Won’t

Nigel Farage has vowed that his Reform UK party will fund an inquiry into the child rape grooming gang scandal if the left-wing Labour government continues to refuse to launch a full public inquiry.
The Reform leader, who for over a decade has been a leading voice criticising the failures of authorities and successive governments to safeguard young girls from mostly Muslim Pakistani rape gangs, has said that his party is willing to raise the money to appoint “independent ex-judges and experts” to conduct an inquiry into the scandal.
“If the Labour government won’t hold a full public inquiry into the widespread mass rape scandal, then we at Reform UK will. Raising the money won’t be a problem,” Farage said on Monday evening.
The Reform boss said there is an “overwhelming demand” for a fresh investigation. Yet, the government has resisted calls for a full inquiry, claiming that previous reports have been sufficient and that the focus should be on implementing recommendations rather than re-litigating the past.
Going further, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who has faced questions about his role in the scandal during his time as the country’s top prosecutor, said on Monday that those demanding a public inquiry were jumping on the “bandwagon of the far-right“.
Starmer’s attempts to disregard the growing public anger over the issue as a function of the so-called “far-right” were undercut just hours later, however, with the influential Blue Labour campaign group breaking with the PM to call for an inquiry to “give voice to the many thousands of forgotten victims,” who suffered some of “the worst series of atrocities that have taken place in Britain since the war”. 3 Blood Moons Are Coming Soon, and You Won't Believe When the First One Hits

Some remarkable celestial signs will be on display in the coming months that may hold prophetic significance for our world. This series of four heavenly phenomena includes three lunar events, two of which could represent a possible direct message about Israel.
It all kicks off with a total lunar eclipse known as a "blood moon" that will appear over the U.S. on March 14, 2025. This particular one will fall directly on the Jewish holiday of Purim. That's when the Jewish people celebrate the biblical account of Esther when they were delivered from annihilation at the hands of an enemy named Haman in the Persian empire, which is modern-day Iran.
That first lunar eclipse will be followed by two more blood moons, with one coming this fall before Rosh Hashanah, and then the third one ALSO falling directly on Purim on March 3, 2026.
Bible prophecy experts say lunar eclipses known as "blood moons" are tied to events that affect Israel. And with antisemitism spiking around the globe, the ongoing war with Hamas in Gaza, and the massive Middle East shifts that have followed the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, the two Purim blood moons could hold special significance.
Israel is also facing a new era of uncertainty now that its neighbor Syria has fallen into the hands of rebels with ties to Al Qaeda as well as Turkey. And some are concerned that Iran could find a way to lash out after seeing its proxy terrorist armies of Hamas and Hezbollah being destroyed by Israel.
