School District Walks Back Bible Ban from Libraries
|
|
A Texas school district removed the Bible from its libraries, arguing that it falls under a state law banning “sexually explicit” material in public school libraries. The district has since reevaluated its decision. Canyon Independent School District (ISD) Superintendent Darryl Flusche wrote in an email obtained by the Christian Post that House Bill 900 “establishes library standards that restrict content in school libraries.” The bill seeks to remove “sexually explicit material” from school libraries. Such content is defined as “any communication, language, or material, including a written description, illustration, photographic image, video image, or audio file, other than library material directly related to the curriculum required under Section 28.002(a), that describes, depicts, or portrays sexual conduct, as defined by Section 43.25, Penal Code, in a way that is patently offensive, as defined by Section 43.21, Penal Code.”
According to Flusche, the law “doesn’t allow numerous books, including the full text of the Bible, to be available in the school library.” He noted that the library offers thirty titles that are “Bible stories or portions of the Bible.” Flusche further stated that the district has “strong connections with local churches that are happy to donate a Bible” to students upon request. “We are more than willing to assist a student who would like access to a Bible by arranging this from one of our partnering churches.” Texas State Rep. Jared Patterson (R), the author of HB 900, said the Bible is the “most important and most read book in history, and removing it does a grave injustice to the students in your care.” He added that “the Bible, and other religious texts, are protected” under the law. - Abba Father, we thank You for the protection of bibles placed upon shelves of public school libraries in Texas. Pour Your favor over Texas Rep. Jared Patterson and all those who have worked diligently to bring this blessing for our children into fruition. May Your holy Word cause thirst among students in these schools to walk with Jesus. We declare Your miraculous hand in spreading this model within school districts and community libraries throughout our nation so the next generations may grow to know Christ as Lord and Savior! New York Judge Denies Trump’s Bid to Delay Sentencing
|
|
New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan has rejected President-elect Donald Trump’s attempt to delay a previously scheduled Jan. 10 sentencing date over his conviction for falsifying business records.
“This court has considered Defendant’s arguments in support of his motion and finds that they are—for the most part—a repetition of the arguments he has raised numerous times in the past,” Merchan said in his decision on Jan. 6.
In a filing submitted earlier that day, Trump’s attorneys argued that the president-elect’s pursuit of an appeal meant proceedings in the court should be automatically stayed.
“In the alternative, even if such a stay were discretionary, the court should grant such a stay,” the filing read.
Trump’s request was made just days after Merchan’s Jan. 3 decision to reject Trump’s request to dismiss the case. Merchan said in his Jan. 3 order that he wasn’t inclined to impose a prison term on the president-elect.
Citing concerns about presidential immunity, he also said that “a sentence of unconditional discharge appears to be the most viable solution to ensure finality and allow the defendant to pursue his appellate options.”
Trump had argued that both the Supreme Court decision in Trump v. United States and DOJ’s policy should lead Merchan to dismiss the case. Merchan disagreed, prompting Trump’s appeal. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Mighty King, we lift this entire matter before You and ask for Your divine intervention on behalf of President Trump and justice. We pray for an advocate to destroy these cobbled-together accusations that seem to be illegitimate according to most legal minds. We pray for this cloud to come to nothing against President Trump and that his presidency will stand strong in the face of such lawfare, in Jesus' name.

More Than 1,500 Charged Over Jan. 6, DOJ Says on 4th Anniversary
|
|
President-elect Donald Trump has pledged pardons for non-violent defendants, saying they would be granted on an individual basis.
|
|
More than 1,500 people have been charged and approximately 1,009 have pled guilty to charges related to the events of Jan. 6, 2021, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said.
The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia provided the four-year update, outlining how the department has pursued and adjudicated various charges.
Attorney General Merrick Garland marked the anniversary by denouncing some violence.
“On this day, four years ago, police officers were brutally assaulted while bravely defending the United States Capitol,” he said. “They were punched, tackled, tased, and attacked with chemical agents that burned their eyes and skin.”
According to the U.S. attorney’s office, “approximately 608” individuals have been charged with “assaulting, resisting, or impeding law enforcement agents or officers or obstructing ... officers during a civil disorder.” As recently as Dec. 19, the U.S. attorney’s office announced charges against another Jan. 6 defendant.
The DOJ made the announcement alongside Congress certifying President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election and a press conference in Washington where multiple speakers called for mass pardons of Jan. 6 defendants. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Holy King, we call for Your truth to be released upon this January 6th, 2021 nightmare, in Jesus name. It can be proven how much deception, fabrication and manipulation has arisen from this event and all of these American Patriots have been mistreated and denied their Constitutional rights. We pray for Your righteousness and justice Holy One to pour forth from Your throne upon all who have been involved in this matter, in Jesus name.
- "For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful Have opened against me; They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. Trump Says He'll Immediately Undo Biden’s Ban on Offshore Drilling
|
|
‘We can’t let that happen to our country. It’s really our greatest economic asset,’ the president-elect said after the executive action.
|
|
President-elect Donald Trump has said he would immediately reverse President Joe Biden’s new ban on future offshore oil and gas developments in parts of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
The outgoing president announced an executive action on Jan. 6 prohibiting new oil and gas leasing across 625 million acres of U.S. oceans, including the entire East and West coasts, the eastern Gulf of Mexico, and portions of the northern Bering Sea in Alaska, with no expiration.
“My decision reflects what coastal communities, businesses, and beachgoers have known for a long time: that drilling off these coasts could cause irreversible damage to places we hold dear and is unnecessary to meet our nation’s energy needs,” Biden said in a statement.
“It is not worth the risks.”
After Biden’s executive action, Trump stated on “The Hugh Hewitt Show” that he has the right to reverse it once he takes office.
“It’s ridiculous. I'll unban it immediately,” Trump said. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Most High King, we pray for Joe Biden to fall into the hands of the living God as soon as possible, so that he will stop wreaking havoc over our nation, in Jesus name. We pray for great wisdom and authority for President Trump during these treacherous times and may he know exactly how to follow You, O Holy One. We also bind whoever may be directing the Biden Administration, in Jesus name and we loose the presence of Almighty God all over these people so that they come to repentance and stop their unrighteous ways, in Jesus name.

North Korea Tests Mid-Range Missile as Blinken Visits Seoul
|
|
Outgoing Secretary of State Antony Blinken condemned the North Korean missile launch, which violates U.N. Security Council resolutions.
|
|
South Korea’s military claims that North Korea fired a ballistic missile into waters north of Japan on Jan. 6, resuming its weapons testing program just two weeks before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated as president.
The joint chiefs of staff of South Korea said the missile was fired in an easterly direction and traveled 685 miles before ending up in the Sea of Japan.
The missile launch was Pyongyang’s first since Nov. 5, 2024, when it fired seven short-range ballistic missiles off its east coast.
The latest launch coincided with outgoing Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Seoul for talks on Jan. 6.
Blinken’s visit comes at a time when South Korea is mired in political turmoil, with President Yoon Suk Yeol having been impeached over his decision to impose martial law on Dec. 3, 2024, blaming “anti-state forces.”
Yeol reversed the decision six hours later but is being investigated over charges of rebellion. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

We pray for South Korea, Abba, and ask You to be a strong tower and leader for this nation to walk strong with You. “We will strike the terrorists and their dispatchers and take firm action against the localities that harbored them. Palestinian terrorism will not be tolerated, and Jewish blood will not be spilled in vain,” Katz said during a visit to the attack site near al-Funduq, close to the Israeli community of Kedumim.
Katz met with Ami Barber, a civilian who returned fire at the gunmen, praising his heroism, according to i24NEWS.
Eight others were injured in the attack, including one seriously, prompting a large-scale manhunt for the perpetrators, who remain at large. (Read more)

3. Jerusalem court OKs seizure of $5.5 million in PA funds by relatives of Huwara attack victims - JNS
The Jerusalem District Court recently approved the seizure of 20 million shekels ($5.5 million) in Palestinian Authority funds by the relatives of slain brothers Hallel and Yagel Yaniv, who were murdered by an Arab terrorist in Samaria almost two years ago, Ynet reported on Tuesday.
The suit was filed under the “Compensation for Terror Victims Law,” passed by the Knesset in March. The law requires courts to award punitive damages of at least 10 million shekels per fatal casualty.
To ease the collection of potential punitive awards by victims and their families, court judgments may be enforced against any property of the defendant, including any property seized or frozen by the State of Israel.

5. As Ceasefire’s End Approaches, Israeli Officials Doubt Lebanon’s Long-Term Stability - Jewish Press
As the end of a 60-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon approaches, Israeli officials are voicing skepticism about Beirut’s ability to enforce the agreement over the long term.
A senior Israeli political source told The Press Service of Israel, “Until January 27th, there is still an eternity in terms of the region. The decision to completely withdraw from Lebanon could be made even 24 hours before the end of the 60 days, and there is still a long process of electing a president in Lebanon, and more developments are expected in Syria. We are keeping the extension of the [Israel Defense Force’s] stay as an option for all intents and purposes.”
Under the terms of a two-month ceasefire that went into effect on November 27, Hezbollah is supposed to withdraw its armed presence from areas of southern Lebanon south of the Litani River. Israeli forces will also withdraw from southern Lebanon in stages. The Lebanese Armed Forces is to be deployed in southern Lebanon including along the 120 km border with Israel, as will monitors from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. (Read more)

1. DESPICABLE: Joe Biden Releases Dangerous Islamist Terrorists from Guantanamo Bay Just Days Before Trump Takes Over - The Gateway Pundit
The return of President Donald Trump to the White House cannot come soon enough because Joe Biden continues to burn down the country before he departs for good. His latest move will likely come at the cost of American lives.
The New York Times reported Monday that the Biden regime has decided to release 11 dangerous Islamist Yemeni terrorists from Guantanamo Bay to Oman for them to supposedly ‘start new lives.’ Oman has supposedly ensured they will ‘monitor’ the newly released prisoners.
As NPR notes, all of these savages were captured following the 9/11 terror attacks. Some had been cleared for transfer previously under the Barack Obama regime but remained at Gitmo for political and diplomatic factors.
In recent weeks, the U.S. has also released four other Guantánamo inmates: a Kenyan, a Tunisian and two Malaysians. This cuts the total number of prisoners at Gitmo precisely in half, from 30 to 15 prisoners. (Read more)

2. Chuck Schumer Savaged For Lashing Out at Trump For Considering January 6 Pardons While Staying Silent After Biden Releases Gitmo Terrorists - The Gateway Pundit
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer lashed out at Trump for considering January 6 pardons while staying silent after Biden released 11 dangerous Islamic terrorists from Guantanamo Bay prison.
“It is utterly shameful that the president-elect is considering pardons for January 6 rioters,” Schumer said. “Pardoning criminals who waved Confederate flags, donned Nazi symbols, assaulted police officers, and tried to halt the democratic process would be a dangerous endorsement of political violence.”
“It is wrong. It is reckless. And it would be an insult to the memories of those who died in connection to that day,” Schumer added. (Read more)

Mighty God, we forgive Chuck Schumer and ask You to bring him to repentance, in Jesus name. We pray that he is reminded about the many ways he stands opposed to truth and Godliness so that he would turn from his ways and get a new heart. Holy One, this egregious double-standard he is espousing should not be coming from the former leader of our nation's Congress and we pray for this practice to be defeated, in Jesus name. May righteousness and justice be the firm standard practiced from our Constitution and expressed in our government.

3. Air Force vet, shot in the head with non-lethal munitions by cops on Jan. 6, has message for President Trump - WND
Jan. 6 defendant Alan "AJ" Fischer, a military veteran who served as a senior airman for the U.S. Air Force, penned a letter to President-elect Donald Trump, along with Trump's nominee for attorney general, Pam Bondi, and the rest of the incoming administration, explaining exactly why he believes every J6 defendant and prisoner deserves a presidential pardon.
Fischer was one of the many demonstrators who was shot in the face with rubber bullets by police while peacefully demonstrating on the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, 2021, and was nearly injured by the flashbang grenades cops indiscriminately threw into the crowd while lacing the air with tear gas.
> > > Here is his letter:
"President Trump, January 6th protesters have endured the most extreme violations of our civil rights in recent history. This injustice must be corrected on January 20th with the dismissal of all of rogue DC US Attorney Matthew Graves' J6 charges, and full pardons to nullify his convictions.
ALL January 6th demonstrator defendants were denied their right to: peacefully assemble to redress their government and make their voices heard; equal justice; a fair trial and an impartial jury of their peers, with no exception. The DOJ's weaponization and political persecution must be undone. Our right to political speech and assembly must be restored and protected.Restoring the J6ers with dismissals and pardons for all aligns not only with modern legal precedent but with our founding legal principles:
"It is better that ten guilty persons escape than one innocent suffer." –William Blackstone: Commentaries on the Laws of England, 1765-1769
Police attacks on the peaceful West Capitol crowd with munitions began within minutes of our arrival, went on for hours, and occurred without legally required dispersal warnings that are mandated under federal and state law before using munitions to disperse a "First Amendment Assembly." Just Judge Jesus, we thank You for people who are willing to stand up and speak truth over this matter that has been so deceptively manipulated with hostile rhetoric. We pray for Alan Fischer's voice and message to be broadcast far and wide. We call for release of all video records that prove the truth of his declaration and that they are used effectively for both freedom and recompense to come to all who have been denied their basic Constitutional civil rights, in Jesus name. May President Trump stand firm and strong on behalf of American Patriots, in Jesus name.

4. Canadian pastor Derek Reimer gets one year house arrest and probation for protesting ‘drag queen storytime’ - LifeSite News)
A Canadian pastor says his trust in the Lord is keeping him strong after being sentenced to one year of “house arrest” along with a long probation sentence for protesting “drag queen story hours” targeting children at a public library last year.
As reported by LifeSiteNews last month, Pastor Derek Reimer of Mission 7 Ministries was in Alberta Court of King’s Bench in December of 2024 for sentencing regarding a guilty verdict issued in October 2024.
Right before Christmas, on December 23, 2024, he was notified of his sentence.
“I was sentenced to a year on house arrest and two years’ probation for opposing drag queen story hour to a librarian manager determined to host the event. After 22 months on bail and 43 days in jail, when it’s all over will be nearly five years for this disagreement,” Reimer told LifeSiteNews.
Government lawyers wanted a one-year jail sentence and probation for Reimer, who was hit with criminal harassment and breaching bail condition charges for protesting “drag queen story hours” targeting children at the Saddletown Library in the spring of 2023.
Reimer’s lawyer, Andrew MacKenzie, said that the library manager had used the words “upset,” which he claimed do not constitute a type of reaction to one getting harassed. (Read more)

Father, we pray that You would vindicate this pastor across the entire country of Canada, restoring the fire of God to this nation, in Jesus name. May his incarceration be halted by a higher court and may the people accusing and prosecuting him be brought to their knees in repentance, in Jesus name. We pray for Pastor Reimer to have overwhelming opportunities to share the love of Jesus and teach followers about the authority in which they walk, in Jesus name. We also ask for divine strategies to defeat the drag queen agenda utterly and replace it with God-honoring activities instead, for Your glory.
"'Bear with me a little, and I will show you That there are yet words to speak on God's behalf. I will fetch my knowledge from afar; I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. For truly my words are not false; One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.'" (Job 36:2-4)

5. Pope Francis names pro-LGBT Cardinal McElroy to Washington Archdiocese - LfeSiteNews
Pope Francis appointed San Diego pro-LGBT Cardinal Robert McElroy to lead the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., as Cardinal Wilton Gregory enters retirement.
In a January 6 announcement, the Holy See Press Office confirmed that Pope Francis had accepted Gregory’s resignation from the D.C. metropolitan archdiocese and nominated McElroy to take his place, transferring from his current position presiding over the Diocese of San Diego, California.
The 70-year-old McElroy, who was elevated to the cardinalate by Pope Francis in August 2022, has a record of supporting causes at odds with Catholic Church teaching.
The prelate has issued calls to admit the divorced and “remarried,” and people actively engaged in homosexual lifestyles, to receive Holy Communion. Indeed, McElroy has staunchly opposed Church teaching on the “intrinsically disordered” nature of homosexual activity, decrying the Catechism of the Catholic Church as employing “very destructive language” on the issue. The cardinal has backed the work of notorious LGBT advocate Father James Martin, S.J., and suggested that same-sex “marriages” can “enrich the lives” of participants. (Read more)

Holy King, we pray for the Catholic community to rise up against the weird ways of this Pope and demand integrity to their religious tradition, in Jesus name. We declare that this Archdiocese of Washington DC would come under the authority of Jesus Christ and the Word of God and it would be impossible for unrighteous leaders to lead there, in Jesus' name.

6. Texas lawmakers demand removal of Medical Board director who works for Planned Parenthood- LifeSiteNews
On Monday, a document from a legal filing revealed that the medical director of the Texas Medical Board, Dr. Robert Bredt, is employed by America’s abortion giant, Planned Parenthood. State representatives are now calling for him to be removed from the board.
Dr. Bredt has acted as medical director of the Texas Medical Board since 2012 and has been working for Planned Parenthood of South Texas Laboratory since 2011, overseeing the operation and administration of the lab. Induced abortion — the direct and intentional killing of preborn children — was legal in Texas through September 2021.
“Texans expect the Texas Medical Board to uphold the highest standards of ethics and impartiality,” said State Rep. Briscoe Cain. “The fact an individual responsible for regulating the practice of medicine in Texas also works for Planned Parenthood—a criminal organization that profits from murdering babies—stands in direct conflict with the laws of our nation and our state’s pro-life values. This is unacceptable. He must be fired.”
He added, “I’m calling on the Medical Board to terminate Dr. Robert Bredt’s employment immediately.” (Read more)
|
|
Thank You Jesus that this conflict of interest in the Texas Medical Board has been discovered and that there is a demand for the director to step down. We pray for the light of Christ to overflow the entire medical system in Texas, releasing purity and honor, and that a righteous leader will replace this one, in Jesus name. We pray also that every state in the nation takes the time to assess where Planned Parenthood has infiltrated their medical communities and takes swift action to stop them in their tracks. May there never again be one cent of citizen finances used to fund this evil organization and may their end be nigh, in Jesus name. Amen.

The Growing Idea of Execution Without Being Charged
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, January 7, 2025
In the 1900s, communism was responsible for killing over 100 million people. Russian dictator Joesph Stalin killed more than 20 million of his own people. Fidel Castro killed more than 11,000 of his own people on the small island of Cuba. We all know what fascist (cousin of communism) Adolf Hitler did to the Jews. The justification of killing people just because one disagrees with them is a hallmark of statist regimes. Death is the bread that feeds Marxist, communist, socialist, fascist revolution. This is why the summary execution of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson on December 4 last year is so very disturbing. Democrats and leftists are raising money and supporting his alleged executioner, Luigi Mangione.
There are many examples of these leftists coming out of the woodwork to hero-worship Mangione. One was University of Pennsylvania professor Julia Alekseyeva, who, according to the NY Post, goes by “The Soviette,” refers to herself as a “socialist and ardent anti-fascist” on her website, described Mangione as “the icon we all need and deserve,” on her Instagram. The Post also reported that Columbia University professor Anthony Zenkus, in an X post that amassed more than 7 million views said, “Today, we mourn the death of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, gunned down…. wait, I’m sorry – today we mourn the deaths of the 68,000 Americans who needlessly die each year so that insurance company execs like Brian Thompson can become multimillionaires…” There were even defense funds set up online through major fundraising sites. Biden administration prepping $8 billion arms package for Israel, including heavy bombs
|
|
|
US President Joe Biden’s administration has informally notified Congress of a proposed $8 billion arms deal with Israel that includes munitions for fighter jets and attack helicopters alongside artillery shells, a source familiar with the matter told the Times of Israel Saturday.
The deal, which was first reported on by Axios Friday, must still be okayed by the US House and Senate foreign relations committees.
The source said that the deal could be partly supplied from current US stocks, but most would take a year or more to deliver. The deal will presumably be the last to be approved by the outgoing Biden administration.
The package — which needs to be okayed by the US House and Senate foreign relations committees — includes AIM-120C-8 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles for fighter jets to defend against airborne threats, including drones; 155mm artillery shells; Hellfire AGM-114 missiles for attack helicopters; small diameter bombs; JDAM tail kits that turn “dumb bombs” into precision munitions, 500-lb warheads and bomb fuzes, the source said. US in negotiations with Taliban to swap Americans in Afghanistan for prisoner in Guantanamo
|
|
The Biden administration reportedly has been negotiating with the Taliban to swap three Americans being held in Afghanistan for a Guantanamo Bay prisoner who is alleged to have been a close associate of Usama bin Laden.
The talks, which have been ongoing since at least July of last year, involve exchanging suspected senior al Qaeda aide Muhammad Rahim al Afghani for American citizens George Glezmann, Ryan Corbett and Mahmoud Habibi, who were detained in Afghanistan in 2022, The Wall Street Journal first reported. A White House official confirmed the report to Fox News.
After the White House proposed that swap in November, the Taliban counteroffered, asking for Rahim and two others in exchange for Glezmann and Corbett, the newspaper reported.
House Foreign Affairs Committee members told the newspaper that they were later informed by national security adviser Jake Sullivan during a Dec. 17, 2024, classified session that Biden was still mulling the offer. One attendee added that during the meeting, panel chair Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, expressed concern that the Taliban’s counteroffer wasn’t a good deal for the U.S. (Fox News) Read more.

- Lord God, we lift up George Glezmann, Ryan Corbett and Mahmoud Habibi before Your Throne of Grace, asking for mercy in time of need. We recognize that this is a creative and unusual solution for those Americans who have been held captive for several years in Afghan prisons. May Your will be done, O Lord, in Your name, amen and amen!

Father God, we PRAISE You that You have placed men and women of God in the halls of Congress. We especially praise You that You have allowed our brother in Christ, Mike Johnson, to serve as the Speaker of the House once again.
We, as Your ecclesia, make a commitment to pray daily for all those in authority, as we are commanded to do in Your Word. And finally, dear Lord, we ask that, for those members who do not know You yet as their Savior and their Lord, that they would be visited by a move of Your Spirit and receive You as their Savior, in Your name, amen and amen.
"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (I Timothy 2:1-4)

Powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake leaves at least 100 dead in China's Tibet region near Nepal

Rescue workers in Tibet are braving frigid temperatures to search for survivors after a devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake killed at least 100 people. The quake, which struck Tibet's holy Shigatse city at 9:05 a.m., local time on Tuesday jolted residents and visitors near the northern foothills of Mount Everest, according to state media.
At least 130 people were injured in the quake local authorities said at a news conference on Tuesday afternoon. More than 1,000 houses were damaged in Tingri county, state news agency Xinhua reported, leaving many homeless in the already isolated and underdeveloped region during a cold time of year.
The tremors were felt as far as Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital, CNN reported. “It was very strong. People came running out of their houses. You could see the wires from poles shaken loose,” said Bishal Nath Upreti from the Nepal Centre for Disaster Management, a non-government organization in Kathmandu.
Anna Guo, an 18-year-old college student, was heading to Mount Everest when the ground started shaking violently. “People around me began to panic and became noticeably tense,” she told CNN. Read More

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
