TODAY'S TOP STORY
Speaker Mike Johnson, White House Strike Spending Framework Deal
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and congressional leaders have struck a spending framework deal that may avert a government shutdown; however, it may frustrate conservatives who want more drastic cuts.
The bipartisan framework would set defense funding at $866 billion and non-defense spending at $704 billion for the current fiscal year, which is in line with the spending levels set with the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA), the debt limit deal struck by President Joe Biden and former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
The deal arose just about two weeks before funding for many government agencies was set to expire. The first tranche of agency funding was set to expire, while the remainder would end on February 2.
In his letter to House lawmakers, Johnson said that the “final spending levels will not satisfy everyone, and they do not cut as much spending as many of us would like.”
The Speaker said that the deal would remove in overall “$30 billion total reduction” from the Senate’s spending plans. He explained that there would be $10 billion in cuts to the IRS mandatory funding, and $6.1 billion from the “Biden administration’s continued COVID-era slush funds.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord, we pray that only Your will prevail over this agreement.  ‘Concessions’ are often necessary in this divided government, but we pray that nothing harmful to Your people will pass.

- “The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.” (Proverbs 22:3)

Blinken starts Mideast tour in Turkey in bid to prevent escalation into regional war
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has kicked off his latest urgent Middle East diplomatic mission in Turkey, as fears mount that Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza may explode into a broader conflict.

Blinken’s fourth visit in three months comes amid worrying developments outside of Gaza, including in Lebanon, northern Israel, the Red Sea and Iraq, that have put intense strains on what had been a modestly successful US push to prevent a regional conflagration in the weeks after the war began, and growing international criticism of Israel’s military operation.

Blinken met Saturday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss what Turkey and others can do to exert influence, particularly on Iran and its proxies, to ease soaring tensions, speed up humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza and begin in earnest to plan for reconstruction and governance of postwar Gaza, much of which has been reduced to rubble by three months of intense Israeli strikes. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

- Lord, we are aware that this Secretary of State could cause even more problems than actually solving them. We bind his actions and ask that truth and wisdom be the final answer. Let nothing interfere with Your people.

- “Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things.” (Hebrews 13:18)

Biden DOJ Went Too Far With Prosecuting Jan. 6 Suspects: Bill Barr
Former Attorney General Bill Barr said on Saturday—the third anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incident—that the Justice Department under President Joe Biden went too far when it comes to prosecuting individuals involved in the events of that fateful day and targeted people who merely “walked into open doors and hung around.”

Mr. Barr made the remarks in an interview on Fox News, where he said he has no intention of downplaying the seriousness of the events of Jan. 6, 2021, which he called a “shameful episode” for which some people should face prosecution.

“I don’t think it was an insurrection,” Mr. Barr said, rejecting a label that has been pushed in particular by opponents of former President Donald Trump, who faces over a dozen lawsuits seeking to bar him from the 2024 presidential ballot under the claim that he engaged in an “insurrection.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Lord, as much as Bill Barr dislikes President Trump, it is good to see him change course to remark that Trump did not commit an insurrection. We pray that the courts will see that statement and understand what it really was.

- “Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling.” (Proverbs 26:27)

1.Netanyahu: We will do ‘whatever is needed’ to bring security to north - JNS

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited troops serving in the Upper Galilee city of Kiryat Shmona on Monday amid shelling by Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror organization, vowing to do “whatever is necessary” to restore security to the Jewish state’s northern border.

“I chose to come to Kiryat Shmona on the day of shelling and anti-tank missiles. I very much appreciate the service you and your friends are doing here—to protect our northern borders and also to send a message to Hezbollah,” Netanyahu told soldiers serving in the border region. (Read more)

2. Live updates: Rocket attacks on central Israel - Israel National News

The war against Hamas in Gaza entered its fourteenth week on Saturday, and Sunday, January 7th, marks three months since Hamas massacred over 1,200 people in southern Israel and took 240 hostages on the morning of October 7, Simchat Torah.

176 IDF soldiers have fallen in battle in Gaza since the ground operation began.

Rocket attacks on southern Israel from Gaza continue, as do attacks on northern Israel by the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon.

Monday, 9:00 p.m.: Sirens sounded in the communities near the Gaza Strip.

Monday, 8:02 p.m.: Today (Monday), the IDF eliminated Hassan Hakashah in Beit Jinn in Syria. He was a central figure responsible for rockets fired by Hamas from Syrian territory toward Israel in recent weeks. Since the beginning of the war, Hakashah directed Hamas terrorist cells which fired rockets from Syria toward Israeli territory.

"We will not allow terrorism from Syrian territory and hold Syria responsible for all activity emanating from its territory. The IDF will continue to act against any threat posed to the State of Israel," the IDF Spokesperson's unit stated. (Read more)

3. Israel kills senior Hezbollah terror commander in Lebanon strike - World Israel News

An Israeli strike in southern Lebanon killed a senior commander in the Hezbollah terror organization’s elite Radwan unit, according to Lebanese sources and reported by Reuters.

Security sources identified him as Wissam al-Tawil a deputy head of the elite Radwan terror force within Hezbollah.

According to security sources, Wissam al-Tawil was killed in his car during an Israeli airstrike on the village of Majdal Selm.

The security source said, “This is a very painful strike.” (Read more)

4. Gazans to IDF: Hamas steals URNWA food, kills civilians who ask for aid - Jerusalem Post

Gazan civilians have testified to officers of the IDF's Unit 504 how Hamas murdered Gazan civilians who tried to get help from UNRWA and that Hamas terrorists steal food from US aid organizations and seize civilian properties for military use.

In one recorded call, a Gazan civilian testified that Hamas murdered his cousin because he tried to seek help from UNRWA. In another conversation, a civilian said he does not leave his home because he fears Hamas will seize it and use the property to fire toward Israel and destroy his house.

One civilian is heard on a recording saying, "When will you get rid of [Hamas]? They killed my cousin yesterday because he went to UNRWA." (Read more)

5. Pro-Israel Group Plans Massive Walkout Across High School, College Campuses on Jan. 18 to Demand Release of Hostages - Algemeiner

Students Supporting Israel (SSI), a nonprofit that promotes education about the Jewish state, is planning to hold a nationwide “walkout” across US high school and university campuses on Jan. 18 to demand the release of hostages who remain captives of Hamas in Gaza after the terrorist organization’s massacre across southern Israel on Oct. 7.

“For over 100 days, the terrorist organization Hamas has held innocent Israeli hostages captive, following the deadliest attack on Jewish people since the Holocaust,” the group said in an announcement posted to its social media accounts on Sunday. “Join SSI in a walkout, demanding the immediate release of the remaining 120 plus hostages and honoring the memories of the 1400 plus Israelis brutally murdered. 1: Hillary Clinton Mentioned For First Time In Epstein Docs – American Liberty News

The latest document dump from a 2015 defamation lawsuit filed by one of Jeffrey Epstein's most prominent accusers mentioned Clinton yet again. But, this time, both Bill and Hillary's names appeared.

The former first lady and secretary of state hasn't been accused of wrongdoing. Neither have Donald Trump or Bill Clinton – though former President Clinton was identified as being in Epstein's presence on numerous occasions. At least one accuser placed him at Little Saint James. On Thursday, newly released emails purported that the former president went to Vanity Fair's headquarters in 2003 to pressure the editor-in-chief to suppress a story about Epstein's predatory behavior. However, the New York Post reports its investigation concludes that Epstein stopped Vanity Fair from publishing the article himself. (Read more)

- Lord, merely being acquaintances with Epstein is not a crime. But if there is any evidence of wrongdoing on either Clinton’s actions, we pray that there will be accountability.

2: FL Supreme Court Will Hear Abortion Initiative Argument – Liberty Counsel

The Florida Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET, regarding a proposed amendment that would codify unrestricted abortion as a right in the state constitution.

Liberty Counsel represents Florida Voters Against Extremism (FLVAE), which filed a petition with the Florida Supreme Court, arguing that they should not approve the proposed amendment which violates the requirement for voter initiatives and should not be permitted on the ballot. Liberty Counsel argues that the initiative is misleading and deceptive and violates the single subject rule.

The proposed amendment is sponsored by Floridians Protecting Freedom, Inc., a political committee supported by the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, the American Civil Liberties Union, and other groups that support unrestricted abortion on demand up to birth.

The proposed amendment is entitled: “Amendment to Limit Government Interference with Abortion.” The full text states: “No law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider. This amendment does not change the Legislature’s constitutional authority to require notification to a parent or guardian before a minor has an abortion.” (Read more)

- Father, the lives of the unborn are always before us as the left continues to attempt to murder them. We pray that the Florida Supreme Court will reject any move to destroy the precious lives of the unborn.

- “Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.” (Exodus 23:7)

3: JASON SNEAD: Don’t Open This Pandora’s Box Of Voter Confusion – Daily Caller

Ranked-choice voting activists are working overtime to push their new voting scheme into key states across the country. Their latest target: Wisconsin, where RCV activists are using a legislative hearing this week to push their voting scheme in the face of conservative attempts to ban it in the state.

With RCV, voters rank candidates in order of preference. If no candidate receives a majority of the vote, RCV manufactures one. The candidate with the fewest first place votes is eliminated. Ballots that listed that candidate first are redistributed to the next choice. If the voter did not rank anyone else, their ballot is “exhausted” and thrown out. This is how RCV manufactures a majority winner.

If that sounds confusing, you aren’t alone. That’s why five states have already banned RCV, while lawmakers in Ohio, Wisconsin, and elsewhere are working to ban it in their states, as well.

But the left-wing lobby is hard at work. In places like Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, and more, liberal mega-donors are pouring tens of millions of dollars into constitutional amendments under the guise of promoting fairness and inclusivity. (Read more)

- Father, we ask that You stop this plan to use ranked-choice voting – another word for it is “jungle primary.” We pray that You will reveal it for what it is, and that it promotes one party over the other.  We ask for the ability to choose wisely.

- “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6-7)

4: House GOP Raises the Stakes: ‘Shut the Border Down or Shut the Government Down’ – The Washington Stand

While the rest of Congress is soaking up the last few days of holiday recess, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) decided to cut his vacation short, opting instead to take 60 House Republicans on a detour to the southern border before Congress resumes next week. If the goal was to remind them what they’re fighting for in the standoff on immigration with Joe Biden, it succeeded.

With December’s record-breaking migrant crossings as a backdrop, this “show of force,” as many are calling it, aims to put more pressure on the White House to negotiate on reforms in real faith. “Life along the border is turned upside down,” host Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) told reporters, “and that’s exactly what the speaker and my colleagues are going to see.”

The trip comes as a growing chorus of Democratic leaders plead with Biden to act. From big cities like Denver to small communities like 15,000-population Whitewater, Wisconsin, even liberal politicians say they’re at “a breaking point.” “…[T]here’s just not enough work or housing in the city to support this ongoing [flood],” Mile High City mayor Mike Johnston admitted from his sanctuary city. “… [W]e know we can’t keep growing at this pace,” he warned. “When I took the oath of office six months ago, we had about 400 migrants in shelter[s]. We have more than ten times that number right now. We’ve brought 35,000 through this year.” (Read more)

- Lord, this situation must be stopped. We ask that all of our leaders inquire of You for Your strategy to stop it. Let man not interfere with what You answer.

- “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” (Prov. 16:9)

5: Republican AGs Challenge Commerce Department’s DEI Proposal – Daily Wire

Over a dozen Republican attorneys general are challenging the Biden administration over a proposed policy that would push diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles in the private sector.

The coalition of 19 states, led by Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti, Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen, and Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, argues that the Commerce Department’s proposed “Business Diversity Principles” promote racial discrimination and anti-American principles.

The proposed principles from the Commerce Department would push the “best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in the private sector.” The AGs say that the principles promote race-based hiring, which is a violation of federal law.

“The federal Department of Commerce needs to recognize it’s not legal to treat people differently because of the color of their skin,” Skrmetti said in a statement. “We’re warning the Department that its proposed ‘Business Diversity Principles’ guidance violates the law, promotes racial discrimination, and would lead our country backward.” (Read more)

- Lord, the DEI actions have destroyed the cohesiveness of society. We bind this Commerce Department plan, and ask that Your Holy Spirit bring repentance and a turning from the division.

- “I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.” (Romans 16:17-18)

 6. US State Department: $10 million reward for information on Hamas financial network – All Israel news

The U.S. State Department is offering a reward of up to $10 million for any information leading to the disruption of the financing for the Hamas terror organization.

The Rewards for Justice Program published a press release naming five financiers of Hamas - Abdelbasit Hamza Elhassan Khair ("Hamza"), Amer Kamal Sharif Alshawa, Walid Mohammed Mustafa Jadallah, Ahmed Sadu Jahleb, and Muhammad Ahmad ‘Abd Al-Dayim Nasrallah – and stated that the U.S. would award as much as $10 million for information on these "financial facilitators."

Three of the five financiers are reportedly part of Hamas' investment network in Turkey, and the other two are located in Sudan and possibly Qatar.
The reward offers are not only for information leading to the five designated terrorists but for information on all sources of revenue for Hamas, including major donors, front companies, criminal schemes, and financial institutions that facilitate transactions for Hamas.

Hamza, based in Sudan, has allegedly played a leading role in the management and growth of Hamas finances. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that the evil underpinnings of Hamas will be revealed and destroyed.

7: Democrat James Clyburn Claims Trump Is ‘Tied’ To Shooting At Mother Emanuel AME Church )Daily Wire

Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) blamed former President Donald Trump for the 2015 shooting at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina by a white supremacist who has since been sentenced to death for murdering nine African-Americans during the attack.

Clyburn made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” while discussing President Joe Biden’s upcoming trip to the state.

“Is it fair to tie in any way what happened at the Emanuel AME Church to Donald Trump?” Tapper asked Clyburn “Donald Trump had barely launched his campaign when that attack happened.”

“I think it is very clear that Donald Trump’s utterances way back before Charlottesville or at the time of Charlottesville ties him to what happened at Mother Emanuel,” Clyburn claimed. “The fact of the matter is, that young man went into that church’s basement, joined with those worshipers in Bible study, and murdered them.” (Read more)

- Father, this kind of evil rhetoric is not just misleading, but totally false. We bind it and ask Your Holy Spirit to visit Mr. Clyburn as he sleeps. If there is repentance, then we ask that You remove him from his position.

- “The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.”  (Acts 17:30)

8. U.S. Attorney Suggests DOJ Will Target Americans Who Stood Outside the Capitol On Jan 6 - Townhall

U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Matthew Graves, suggested that law enforcement will soon target those who just stood outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

During a press conference this week, Graves hinted that Americans who didn’t even go inside the Capitol building on Jan. 6 could still lead to thousands of arrests.
“An important note when it comes to our prosecutions about those who remained outside the building. We have used our prosecutorial discretion to primarily focus on those who entered the building or those who engaged in violent or corrupt conduct on Capitol grounds,” Graves said. “But if a person knowingly entered the restricted area without authorization, they had already committed a federal crime. Make no mistake, thousands of people occupied an area that they were not authorized to be present in in the first place.”
The D.C. district attorney has already charged more than 1,400 Americans with crimes relating to the protests on Jan. 6. He has also handed down more than 900 convictions, with almost all having prison sentences. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that this will not come to pass. We ask You to send Your Holy Spirit and angelic host to protect everyone who did nothing wrong on January 6, 2021, and that You will move to destroy all narratives against them.

- “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

The Daily Jot

Of The Burning Bush, Sandals, And Hearing God

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, January 8, 2024

When was the last time you looked up at the night sky and saw thousands, if not, millions of stars? When camping in my childhood, I used to lay out under the stars and marvel at their great numbers. In Ghana, West Africa, you can sit outside at night and the only light in the rural areas comes from the moon or the stars. You can see millions of them. I remember sitting on the back deck of a friend’s house on the West coast of Nicaragua. We saw a shooting star. Then another one. That one night we counted about 23 shooting stars. We marveled at the sight of so many. These are things that we just do not normally see because if we live in a populated area, the light from our surroundings masks the brilliance of the stars.

It’s like that with hearing from God as well. What interferes with hearing from God? So many people say they just don’t know how to hear what God wants from them. Let us be reminded of Moses. The Angel of the LORD (Melakh Adonai), appeared to Moses in the fire amidst a flaming bush and told him to take off his sandals for he was on holy ground. The LORD identified Himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He had seen the suffering of His people, and had chosen Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promised Land. Moses asked who should he say sent him. The Lord told him, “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh,” (“I will be what I will be”). In Exodus 3:14-15, God told Moses, “You shall say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you.” Read More

Photo proves Hamas using North Korea-made weapons against Israel, South Korea says
South Korea spy agency says Hamas using North Korean-made F-7 rocket-propelled grenade launcher

Photo evidence shows that Hamas terrorists are using weapons manufactured in North Korea in its war against Israel, South Korea’s spy agency said Monday.

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service released a photo showing a disassembled F-7 rocket-propelled grenade launcher that the spy agency says has Korean characters engraved inside the fuse of the grenade launcher, South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported.

"The fuse with the Korean characters is located in the mid-section of the North Korean-made F-7 rocket," the spy agency told the news outlet.

The agency said it was collecting evidence of North Korea’s suspected arms sales to Hamas, though it was unable to share any such evidence to protect its sources and in consideration of diplomatic ties.

While the hermit kingdom previously voiced support for Hamas against Israel following the initial terrorist attacks on Oct. 7, Pyongyang has dismissed that it was supplying Hamas with its weapons as "a groundless and false rumor" orchestrated by the United States. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You that this data has now been revealed, so that we can take action, as Your children, against the work of the wicked. We now take the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and we sever asunder the cords of the wicked, in Your Mighty Name, amen! We decree that North Korea will no longer arm Hamas with these weapons, so that this alliance is now null and void, under the Blood of the Lamb, amen and amen.

- "The Lord is righteous;
He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked."
(Psalm 129:4)
Sen. Roger Wicker Calls for a Briefing from the Pentagon After It Hid Austin’s Hospitalization

The top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. Roger Wicker, slammed the Pentagon for its “shocking defiance of the law” after it failed to disclose Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s hospitalization to the president, the National Security Council, and Congress for several days, and called for a briefing from the administration “immediately.”

“I am glad to hear Secretary Austin is in improved condition and I wish him a speedy recovery. However, the fact remains that the Department of Defense deliberately withheld the Secretary of Defense’s medical condition for days. That is unacceptable. We are learning more every hour about the Department’s shocking defiance of the law,”Wicker said in a statement on Saturday.

“When one of the country’s two National Command Authorities is unable to perform their duties, military families, Members of Congress, and the American public deserve to know the full extent of the circumstances,” he added. “Members must be briefed on a full accounting of the facts immediately.”

ustin was admitted to the hospital on January 1, following complications after an “elective medical procedure,” but reportedly did not tell National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan until Thursday, January 4. Sullivan then reportedly told President Joe Biden.

The Pentagon then released a statement to the press on Friday evening, January 5, disclosing that Austin was admitted to the hospital. The initial statement did not say what the elective procedure was, what the complications were, or acknowledge that Austin was still in the hospital as of that day.

“Worryingly, we now have more questions than answers,” Wicker said.

“Why was the notification process under 5 U.S.C. 3349 not followed and who made the determination not to follow it? What role did the Secretary of Defense’s staff play? When exactly was the President notified? What justification did the Department have for withholding information from the National Security Council? To what extent was the Secretary incapacitated by his surgery?” he asked.

“The very fact that we have none of this information is an indictment of an administration which consistently holds Congressional authority on national defense matters in contempt.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

-  Father God, in this hour when our nation may be about to go to war with either Iran, China, Russia, North Korea, or any of the above . . . this is not a time to risk this vacuum
of leadership! We ask that Congress take heed to the call of Senator Wicker to hold hearings immediately about how Secretary Austin's absence "slipped through the cracks,"
and to tighten security protocol so that this danger will never happen again.

Lord God, we thank You that, when men fail us, we can turn to You in repentance, trusting You to be our Shield and our protector. In Your Name we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

(Psalm 18:2)
United Airlines discovers loose bolts on its Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes after Alaska Airlines incident
United's Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes are not currently in use

United Airlines announced Monday that it found loose bolts on its Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes, days after an Alaska Airlines plane of the same model lost a door plug mid-air.

In a statement obtained by FOX Business, United explained that its Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft will be suspended. The airline's 200 MAX 9 flights are also canceled.

"Since we began preliminary inspections on Saturday, we have found instances that appear to relate to installation issues in the door plug – for example, bolts that needed additional tightening," the company explained. "These findings will be remedied by our Tech Ops team to safely return the aircraft to service."

United said that it is still waiting for final approval from the Federal Aviation Administration on the inspection process. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, the fact that no one was injured or even killed on that Alaska Airlines flight on Friday night is a true miracle! We see Your Hand in this matter: the fact that no one was seated where the door flew off its hinge; and that the passengers all were wearing their seat belts because the aircraft had not yet reached the 30,000 feet required for them to be able to move around.

GLORY!

We now ask that every other Boeing 737 MAX 9 would be so thoroughly inspected that this crisis would never happen again. Amen.

- "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light." (Mark 4:22)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

NASA Science Heads to Moon on First US Private Robotic Artemis Flight

Carrying NASA scientific instruments as part of its Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative, Astrobotic’s Peregrine lander launched on United Launch Alliance’s (ULA) Vulcan rocket at 2:18 a.m. EST from Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Peregrine has about a 46-day journey to reach the lunar surface.

Once on the Moon, NASA instruments will study the lunar exosphere, thermal properties of the lunar regolith, hydrogen abundances in the soil at the landing site, and conduct radiation environment monitoring. The five NASA science and research payloads aboard the lander will help the agency better understand planetary processes and evolution, search for evidence of water and other resources, and support long-term, sustainable human exploration.

“The first CLPS launch has sent payloads on their way to the Moon – a giant leap for humanity as we prepare to return to the lunar surface for the first time in over half a century,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. “These high-risk missions will not only conduct new science at the Moon, but they are supporting a growing commercial space economy while showing the strength of American technology and innovation. We have so much science to learn through CLPS missions that will help us better understand the evolution of our solar system and shape the future of human exploration for the Artemis Generation.”  Read More

Youth for Christ Reports Powerful Move of God, Nearly 8,000 Young People Meet Jesus
Youth for Christ (YFC) is reporting the salvations of nearly 8,000 young people as God moved in a powerful way through the ministry in 2023. YFC recently released the U.S. organization's ministry report for 2022-2023, detailing several milestones, including a 20% average increase across all of its ministry sites and 7,855 kids who came to know Christ. "The 20% increase is across all our ministry metrics when averaged. This means that, across our 1,200 ministry sites in the USA, more kids are sharing their name with a YFC leader, engaging in Christ-centered relationships, making a decision to follow Christ, and plugging into discipleship," YFC President and CEO Jacob Bland said in a statement on the organization's website.

As CBN News has reported, YFC has been involved in youth outreach for 79 years. It's a Christian movement with more than 130 chapters located across the country, helping 11- through 19-year-olds uncover God's story of hope in their own story through authentic relationships, shared experiences, outdoor adventure, mentoring, small groups, and more. It partners with local churches and other like-minded organizations to raise up life-long followers of Jesus to be leaders by example. "From holding rallies with Billy Graham in the '40s to entering campuses to reach students in the '60s to now empowering community leaders to build meaningful relationships with young people everywhere—it's our aim to walk with young people through their story, and to be the friend and mentor that we've longed for ourselves," the nonprofit organization explained on its website, using the theme "Give Life to Your Story." The YFC report also reveals that more students are pointing their friends to Jesus Christ. Read More>

- Father, we REJOICE at the news of 8,000 salvations within the Youth for Christ ministry across the US. May hearts and souls be ON FIRE from encounters with Yeshua and bring undeniable evidence of transformed lives! We praise You for the influence these new believers are having among their own peers. Cause a fresh anointing of Holy Spirit Fire to fall upon this young generation, that they may fall before the Lord in repentance for the sins of the church desiring to bring our nation and the next generations back into holy righteousness. In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ-Amen.

- "Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD" (Psalm 119:1)
Thought for the Day
" ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." (I John 4:4)
A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture:Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

Lyrics:
There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,
No, not one! No, not one!
None else could heal all our soul’s diseases,
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain
Jesus knows all about our struggles,
He will guide till the day is done;
There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,
No, not one! No, not one!

No friend like Him is so high and holy,
No, not one! No, not one!
And yet no friend is so meek and lowly,
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain

There’s not an hour that He is not near us,
No, not one! No, not one!
No night so dark but His love can cheer us,
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain

Did ever saint find this friend forsake him?
No, not one! No, not one!
Or sinner find that He would not take him?
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain

Was ever a gift like the Savior given?
No, not one! No, not one!
Will He refuse us a home in Heaven?
No, not one! No, not one!
