CCP Wants to Infect the World as It Rejects International Travel Curbs, Conceals COVID Data: Gordon Chang
|
|
China is battling with a massive outbreak that has yet to peak. The World Health Organization is appealing for transparency, saying China’s official tallies are underreporting the actual scale of the outbreak.
China’s top health body stopped publishing daily infections and has acknowledged only a handful of deaths during the current outbreak. But as many as 248 million people, or 18 percent of the country’s population, were estimated to have caught the virus between Dec. 1 to 20, according to a memo from the health regulator’s internal meeting leaked online and confirmed by news outlets. Local officials and domestic health experts estimated the infection rate likely exceeded 50 percent in multiple provinces and reached 80 percent in Beijing.
Amid the explosive outbreak, the lack of reliable data has stoked global concerns, particularly regarding the possibility of a new, more dangerous variant circulating in the country.
The United States and over a dozen nations now require a negative COVID test result for visitors from China. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the measure is to impede the spread of COVID on American soil, given “the lack of adequate and transparent epidemiological and viral genomic sequence data.” The agency is now considering measures like sampling wastewater from flights from China to track potential new variants.
Such responses, according to Chang, were not enough if the regime was once again seeking to “deliberately” infect the world.
“That’s entirely wrong. I mean, if China is doing this again, and it’s clear that they are, then we should not be allowing arrivals in from China until we know what the devil is going on,” he said. (Read more)

Biden Administration Admits Keystone Cancellation Cost Tens of Thousands of Jobs
|
|
The Biden administration has released a congressionally required report on the jobs impact of the president’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL Pipeline, which reveals a failed opportunity to create tens of thousands of jobs.
The report (pdf) was published without fanfare in late December by the Department of Energy (DOE) after being mandated to do so by provisions in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which required the agency to evaluate how many jobs would have been created absent Biden’s decision to axe the pipeline.
Biden signed an executive order on his first day in office that halted the Keystone XL project, saying the pipeline “disserves the U.S. national interest” as its construction and operation would be inconsistent with his administration’s larger agenda to tackle a “climate crisis.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- We pray over this report, and pray for justice to be done to this administration, and accountability be enforced on the damage they have done to people's lives.
- "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against the shepherds and will hold them accountable for my flock. I will remove them from tending the flock so that the shepherds can no longer feed themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths, and it will no longer be food for them." (Ezekiel 34:10)

'Glory to God': Buffalo Bills Coach Credits God's 'Healing Powers' for Damar Hamlin's Progress
|
|
On Thursday, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott credited God's "healing powers" for the progress of Bills' defensive back Damar Hamlin, who experienced a cardiac arrest during Monday night's game but has improved each day since.
Hamlin's life was spared when medical professionals performed CPR when he collapsed moments after he made a tackle in the nationally televised game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
On Friday, the Bills said Hamlin's breathing tube was removed overnight. He also spoke to the team Friday, telling them, "Love you, boys."
"The amount of faith, hope and love that we saw on display over the last three days has been nothing short of amazing," McDermott said Thursday during a news conference.
McDermott thanked doctors, the Cincinnati organization and the officiating crew, saying: "handled that situation with extreme poise and compassion." He also thanked the NFL and then the media for their "privacy and compassion."
"Finally, and just as important as anything, is glory to God for His keeping Damar and his family in the palm of His hand over the last couple of days – and His healing powers," McDermott said.
News on Hamlin "has been very encouraging," McDermott added.
The Bills released a statement Friday saying Hamlin "continues to progress remarkably in his recovery." (Read more)

- GLORY, GLORY, GLORY to you Father God!!! Abba our hearts are overflowing with praise, joy and "thank you"s to you for what you have done for Damar Hamlin. Thank you for your protection and provision for him, for getting him through this crisis, for protecting his brain function and for bringing him back from the door of death! We are so thankful for your love for him. Abba, we ask for continued improvement and we are asking you to determine what allowed this cardiac arrest and to fix it, that it will never happen again.
Also, we have been blessed that through this crisis, you provided for your sons, Sean McDermott and Dan Orlovsky to publicly acknowledge you and give you the praise, glory and honor for your presence in these circumstances. How amazing! Abba, thank you so much that when Sean McDermott, the Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills, gave an interview that was not suppressed, he gave you the glory for your "healing powers" in Damar's recovery and that you were "keeping Damar and his family in the palm of your hand." We thank you, too, that Dan Orlovsky, a sports analyst, prayed for Damar on live television shortly after Damar went down. We thank you that you truly work all things together for good for those who are called according to your purposes.
- "And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

1. Israel approves punitive measures against PA over ‘disgraceful’ UN vote- JNS
(January 8, 2023 / JNS) Israel’s Security Cabinet on Thursday approved several punitive measures against the Palestinian Authority in response to what it described as Ramallah’s ongoing “political and legal war” against the Jewish state.
The move came a week after the U.N. General Assembly passed a resolutioncalling on the International Court of Justice to “render urgently an advisory opinion” on Israel’s “prolonged occupation, settlement and annexation of Palestinian territory.”
The Security Cabinet decided to withhold taxes and tariffs collected on behalf of and transferred to the P.A., in an amount equal to that which Ramallah paid to terrorists and their families in 2022 as part of its “pay-for-slay” policy. An additional sum of nearly $40 million was deducted from the same P.A. pool of funds, to be disbursed to Israeli victims of Palestinian terrorism. (Read more)

2. Israel cracks down on Palestinian Authority over ‘legal and political war’- JNS
(January 8, 2023 / JNS) Israel on Sunday revoked the VIP pass of Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki, in line with a Cabinet decision last week to sanction Ramallah in response to the U.N.’s passage, at the P.A.’s behest, of a resolution asking the International Court of Justice to weigh in on the legal status of Judea and Samaria.
Border officials stopped al-Malki as he crossed from Jordan into the P.A., and confiscated the travel document allowing him to expedite or altogether bypass normal security checks in Judea and Samaria.
“In the diplomatic sphere, the Security Cabinet convened last Thursday and decided on a series of measures against the Palestinian Authority for advancing a radical anti-Israel decision at the U.N.,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday. (Read more)

3. A week in, Netanyahu government already at odds with Biden administration - Times of Israel
WASHINGTON — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new government is little more than a week old but it’s already giving the Biden administration headaches.
Just days into its mandate, a far-right member of Netanyahu’s hard-right cabinet riled US diplomats as well as Israel’s regional allies with a visit to a Jerusalem holy site that some believe may be a harbinger of other contentious moves, including vast expansions of Jewish settlement construction in the West Bank.
And, Netanyahu’s government adoptedpunitive measures against the Palestinians that run in direct opposition to several recent Biden moves to boost US-Palestinian relations, including restoring assistance to the Palestinian Authority that had been cut during the Trump administration and allowing Palestinian officials to visit the United States. The decision was made as part of the new sanctions on the Palestinian Authority following its appeal to the International Court of Justicein The Hague against Israel.
These funds, Smotrich emphasized, are offset from the funds paid by the Palestinian Authority “in connection with terrorism.” (Read more)

1. Unveiling the WHO's Plan This Month - Liberty Counsel Action
This month, the World Health Organization (WHO) is holding 10 meetings on everything from “health interventions” to “Behavioral Science” to our food supply. The meetings also include discussion on “strengthening integrated emergency, critical and operative care.” Ironically, that meeting is hosted by Ethiopia, the corrupt and bloody home nation of the director of the WHO.
These topics are rich coming from an organization head who appears to have led Ethiopia to misdiagnose sick people and starve political opponents to death by withholding aid and medical care for children during a famine.
And, of course, global Vaccine Passports are always part of the globalist agenda to seize control of people under the guise of public health.
WHO is actively seeking power, control and world domination … and Joe Biden can’t figure out how to give it to them fast enough. We have a short time to educate new members of Congress and take action before Biden proceeds with his plan to expand the global authority of the WHO. (Read more)

2. Two Years Later, Defund the Police Movement Continues to Haunt Police - The Epoch Times
More than two years after activists called to defund police departments over accusations of murder, brutality, and other crimes allegedly committed by a few, law enforcement officers say the wounds are still present and painful.
“If you want me to risk my life, it’s one thing to pay me, but it’s another to respect me,” veteran police officer, law enforcement trainer, and public speaker Dave Smith told The Epoch Times.
Smith and other law enforcement representatives say defunding police departments hurt the communities they served and destroyed police officer morale. Sgt. Betsy Smith is a retired police officer, the current spokesperson for the National Police Association, and married to Dave Smith. She said restored funding has yet to do much to rebuild the confidence many officers once had in their communities.
“We’ve had two and a half years of demonization,” Betsy Smith told The Epoch Times. “Many departments are short-staffed.” (Read more)

3. DeSantis Moves to Dissolve Disney’s ‘Corporate Kingdom,’ Bring It Under Florida Control - The Epoch Times
A central Florida county on Friday issued a notice of its plans to seek legislation that would allow for dissolving Walt Disney World’s self-governing area to appoint a state-run board to manage the district while a spokesperson for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Friday that “Disney will no longer control its own government” under the proposal.
“Notice is hereby given of intent to seek legislation before the Florida Legislature, during a regular, extended, or special session, of an act relating to the Reedy Creek Improvement District,” said a notice from Osceola County on Friday. Reedy Creek, established in the 1960s, is the name for Disney’s self-governing district and is located in Osceola and Orange counties and allowed Disney to control the land currently occupied by its massive theme park.
Friday’s notice also stated that Florida lawmakers will take up legislation “increasing state oversight, accountability, and transparency” of Reedy Creek district. Republicans currently hold supermajorities in both chambers of the Florida legislature, although a bill hasn’t been filed in the Legislature as of Friday.
The move to dissolve Reedy Creek is backed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has been a frequent critic of Disney’s jumping into the political arena to back leftist causes. Disney is one of the largest employers in the state and Walt Disney World is one of the world’s most popular theme park attractions.
“The corporate kingdom has come to an end,” Taryn Fenske, a spokesperson for DeSantis, told Fox News in a statement on Friday. “Under the proposed legislation, Disney will no longer control its own government, will live under the same laws as everyone else, will be responsible for their outstanding debts, and will pay their fair share of taxes.” (Read more)

4. 'Lawless’: DeSantis Declares State Of Emergency, Activates National Guard Over Wave Of Migrant Arrivals - The Daily Caller
Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency Friday, activating the National Guard to help with an influx of migrants arriving by boat on Florida’s coast.
In response to the Biden administration’s alleged inability to manage a record number of migrants attempting to cross the southern border into the U.S. and anticipating a wave of migrant arrivals, DeSantis authorized state agencies to take emergency response measures Jan. 6, according to the order. The governor also authorized the National Guard to deploy “as needed, to deal with this emergency,” given that “the migration of unauthorized aliens to the State of Florida is likely to constitute a major disaster.”
“The lawlessness at the Southwest Border continues unabated and the Biden Administration has repeatedly demonstrated its ineptitude at managing the crisis it created,” the order stated. As a result, an increasing number of illegal migrants are seeking entry to the U.S.
At least 345 unauthorized persons entered Florida on Jan. 3 and Jan. 5, and the state has identified multiple vessels likely to contain illegal migrants destined for Florida’s shores, the order stated. From August 2022 to January 2023, officials indicted more than 8,000 migrants in the waters around Florida’s peninsula. (Read more)

- Abba, thank you for Governor DeSantis' strong response to the influx of illegal immigrants into Florida. Thank you for his willingness to protect the people of his state. Abba, we are asking for that same heart in our President. We are asking you to speak to President Biden, that he would have a change of heart and reinstate laws that were providing the control needed at our borders, the very laws he took down at the beginning of his term in office. We are asking you for protection for all National Guard as they work to bring law and order back into our nation. We are asking for protection, provision and peace for those living close to the border whose lives have been interrupted and in some cases changed forever.
Father, we pray for mercy for those coming across our borders having been led to believe that a better life awaits them and their families here. Abba, this is such a tragic human problem. Hearts and lives are at risk in so many places and they are ALL your kids. We are asking you to intervene in all of these circumstances to bring your perfect will and your peace. We ask this in Jesus' mighty name. AMEN
- "Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your kingdom come soon,
May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need,
and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us." (Matthew 6:9-12)

5. This list keeps growing - Liberty Counsel Action
The injustice that has happened repeatedly across America in the past two years has been hard to watch. This double standard of our laws has grated on my soul. Probably yours too.
One thing is for certain, now is the time and the opportunity to turn the tables on this corruption!
According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, there have been 2,766,582 total “encounters” through September, including 227,547 along the southwest border in September alone.
Of those crossing in September, “77,302 were from Venezuela, Cuba, or Nicaragua, which represents 42% of unique encounters, a 245% increase over September 2021.”
Drug cartels are smuggling fentanyl and killing our children. According to a press release from the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California, “More deadly fentanyl is being seized by border officials in San Diego and Imperial counties than at any of the nation’s 300-plus ports of entry, making this federal district an epicenter for fentanyl trafficking into the United States.”
“‘There is no doubt we are in the middle of a fentanyl crisis at the hands of criminal enterprises, transcending our borders into the communities where we live, where we work, where we go to school,’ said Special Agent in Charge Stacey Moy of the FBI’s San Diego Field Office.”
On just one border ranch, over 100 dead bodies have been found. One man was hung from a tree because he dared to use his cell phone. Children are sex-trafficked, and the media is silent.
We need to act now and pressure the Republican majority in the House to investigate and stop this crisis. (Read more)

6. Ashli Babbitt’s Mother Arrested Outside US Capitol - The Epoch Times
The mother of Ashli Babbitt—Micki Witthoeft—was detained near the U.S. Capitol on Friday afternoon and was charged with violating two Capitol traffic regulations.
The detainment took place during a demonstration on the second anniversary of the death of Babbitt and three other Americans on Jan. 6, 2021. Witthoeft, 58, told The Epoch Times she was there to honor her daughter, who died two years ago after being shot by U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Lt. Michael Byrd.
Witthoeft was arrested around 1:45 p.m. local time by officers from the U.S. Capitol Police and charged with having violated two traffic regulations (pdf)—§16.3.20 Obey An Order, and §16.3.40 Blocking And Obstructing Roadways, the USCP announced in a release.
“As is typical for this charge, Ms. Witthoeft was processed and released this afternoon after being given a citation to appear in court at a later date,” the USCP stated. (Read more)

7. 50th Annual March for Life Sets U.S. Capitol as its Destination - Christian Headlines
The 50th annual March for Life will take place in the nation’s capital next month. At this year’s event, marchers will walk toward the U.S. Capitol building instead of the U.S. Supreme Court building as had been tradition. It is also the first March for Life event to happen since the Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade last year.
While attendees typically march to the Supreme Court building every year, 2023's demonstration will head from the National Mall in Washington D.C. towards the U.S. Capitol.
"The pro-life generation will be out in full force this year," Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins told CBN News. "They'll be holding the black and white 'We Are the Post Roe Generation' signs as we pass them out. We'll be giving out, I know, at least 15,000 signs." (Read more)

8. California storm leaves over 560,000 homes without power, more rough weather ahead - Reuters
Torrential downpours and damaging winds left hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses without power in California early on Sunday as the area braced for the next onslaught of severe weather.More than 560,000 homes were reported to be still without power in California as of 0506 ET (1006 GMT), according to data from PowerOutage.us.
At least six people have died in the severe weather since New Year's weekend, including a toddler killed by a fallen redwood tree crushing a mobile home in northern California.
Forecasters have meanwhile warned yet another "atmospheric river" of dense, moist tropical air will clobber California on Monday with rain and mountain snow.
An NWS weather alert on Saturday warned that the cumulative effect of successive heavy rain storms since late December could bring rivers to record high levels and cause flooding across much of Central California. (Read more)

We thank you that it will help with the drought, but Abba, now it has become more than the land can absorb, we are asking that you STOP the storm! You spoke to the storm when your disciples were on the Sea of Galilee and it stopped, we are asking you to do the same now. Lord nothing is too difficult to you.
Father, please keep safe all First Responders and those trying to help and bring relief into the hard places right now. We are also asking for your hand of mercy and protection for all who are in harm's way, that your miracles will show forth your power and glory to all who see them. We are asking for your presence to cover all who have lost loved ones, on all who have lost homes and jobs. Father, comfort them in your love, they so need you now. We ask it in Jesus' name...AMEN

9. Republican Sen. Ben Sasse officially steps down, opening up appointment to seat - NBC News
Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump, officially resigned from the Senate on Sunday as he prepares to step back into academia as president of the University of Florida.
Sasse, who led Midland University, a small private collage in his home state, prior to running for Senate, submitted his resignation last month saying that he would leave office Jan. 8 — two years into his second term.
In farewell remarks last week, Sasse criticized the body that he had been a member of since 2015, saying “this institution doesn’t work very well right now.”
“Each of us knows we should be taking a look in the mirror and acknowledging that lives lived in a politicized echo chamber are unworthy of a place that calls itself a deliberative body, let alone the world’s greatest deliberative body,” Sasse said.
“When we’re being honest with each other, which usually means when on one of the very rare occasions where cameras aren’t present, we all know that a big chunk of the performative yelling that happens here and in every hearing room is just about being booked for even more performative yelling at night on TV,” he said. 10. Kristi Noem demands answers after US Government leaks social security numbers of her and family - Fox News
South Dakota Govenor Kristi Noem is demanding answers on how federal agencies allowed her personal information to become public in the aftermath of record releases from the Jan. 6 committee, as well as how these agencies plan to combat the potential results of this leak.
"My lawyers have asked the @WhiteHouse, the @USNatArchives, and @BennieGThompson which of them is responsible for leaking the Social Security Numbers of me, my husband, my 3 kids, and my son-in-law." Noem tweeted on Friday evening following the leak of her and her loved ones private information. "What specific measures and remedies will be taken to protect our identities?"
The night before taking the oath of office for her second term, Noem learned that her Social Security number and those of her immediate family were leaked by the Jan. 6 committee.
Among the hundreds of records posted online by the committee laying out the timeline of the events leading up to the storming of the Capitol was "a spreadsheet with nearly 2,000 Social Security numbers associated with visitors to the White House in December 2020." The list included several high-profile Republicans. (Read more)

Hawaii's Kilauea volcano is erupting once again
|
|
Kilauea, which had stopped erupting last month amid Mauna Loa's own lava eruption and subsequent slowdown, had increased earthquake activity beneath its summit, officials said.
(CNN) -- Weeks after Hawaii's Mauna Loa erupted for the first time in decades, neighboring volcano Kilauea is showing activity again after a brief pause, according to officials.
Kilauea -- which had stopped erupting last month for the first time since September 2021 amid Mauna Loa's own lava eruption and subsequent slowdown -- had increased earthquake activity beneath its summit and recorded ground deformation on Thursday morning, officials said.
"Kilauea volcano is erupting," the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory and the U.S. Geological Survey said on Thursday. A glow was detected in nearby webcam images, "indicating that the eruption has resumed within Halemaʻumaʻu crater in Kilauea's summit caldera" at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the agencies said. 'A Win for Reality':
Federal Court Upholds West Virginia's 'Save Women's Sports Act'
|
|
A U.S. District Court has upheld a West Virginia state law that protects female athletes by prohibiting biological males from playing on girl's teams. In an order issued Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Goodwin rejected a legal challenge that would have undermined women's sports in the state by allowing males who identify as female to compete with females in girls and women's sports. In May 2021, Becky Pepper-Jackson, a transgender girl at a West Virginia middle school, filed a lawsuit against the Harrison County Board of Education, the West Virginia Board of Education and State Superintendent of Schools, and the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission to halt a bill that would ensure equal opportunities for women and girls in sports. Pepper-Jackson wished to join her middle school's girls' cross-country team and alleged that West Virginia's Save Women's Sports Act or, H.B. 3293, violated her federal Title IX rights.
Lainey Armistead, a former West Virginia State University soccer player, wanted to intervene in the lawsuit to defend the bill. "I believe that protecting fairness in women's sports is a women's rights issue," said Armistead. "This isn't just about fair play for me: It's about protecting fairness and safety for female athletes across West Virginia." The conservative legal firm Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) represented her. "Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field. Allowing males to compete in girls' sports destroys fair competition, safety on the field, and women's athletic opportunities," said ADF Legal Counsel Christiana Kiefer. She added, "When our laws and policies ignore biological reality, girls and women get hurt. In athletics, this harm may be physical, but they are also losing medals, podium spots, public recognition, and opportunities to compete."
In the court's 23-page decision, Goodwin wrote Thursday that although transgender-identifying students deserve respect, the state's definition of "girl" and "woman" does not violate Title IX. "The question before the court is whether the legislature's chosen definition of 'girl' and 'woman' in this context is constitutionally permissible. I find that it is," Goodwin wrote. "I have no doubt that H.B. 3293 aimed to politicize participation in school athletics for transgender students. Nevertheless, there is not a sufficient record of legislative animus." Kiefer calls the decision a "win for reality. Today's decision is a win for reality. The truth matters, and it is crucial that our laws and policies recognize that the physical differences between men and women matter, especially in a context like sports," she said in a statement. - Abba, what a relief it is to have common-sense rulings. May this righteous decision in the District Court influence future cases to protect female athletes across America. In Jesus mighty name we pray-Amen

O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Charles Wesley
Music: Carl Glaser
Scripture: I…heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands. Revelation 5:11
Lyrics:
O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and king,
The triumphs of His grace!
My gracious master and my God,
Assist me to proclaim,
To spread through all the earth abroad
The honors of Thy name.
Jesus! the name that charms our fears,
That bids our sorrows cease;
’Tis music in the sinner’s ears,
’Tis life, and health, and peace.
He breaks the power of canceled sin,
He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean,
His blood availed for me.
Hear Him, ye deaf; His praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold your Savior come,
And leap, ye lame, for joy.
In Christ your head, you then shall know,
Shall feel your sins forgiven;
Anticipate your heaven below,
And own that love is heaven.
Glory to God, and praise and love
Be ever, ever given,
By saints below and saints above,
The church in earth and Heaven.
Sudden expired the legal strife,
’Twas then I ceased to grieve;
My second, real, living life
I then began to live.
Then with my heart I first believed,
Believed with faith divine,
Power with the Holy Ghost received
To call the Savior mine.
Look unto Him, ye nations, own
Your God, ye fallen race;
Look, and be saved through faith alone,
Be justified by grace.
See all your sins on Jesus laid:
The Lamb of God was slain,
His soul was once an offering made
For every soul of man.
With me, your chief, ye then shall know,
Shall feel your sins forgiven;
Anticipate your heaven below,
And own that love is heaven.
