House GOP votes to adjourn, delays speaker fight to Thursday after some signs of progress

House Republicans successfully but narrowly voted Wednesday night to adjourn until Thursday, after a break of several hours and indications that some progress might have been achieved in talks between Kevin McCarthy's supporters and 20 GOP opponents.

After a frenzied round of voting and clamoring by members, they voted 216-214 to adjourn.

Every Democrat voted against adjourning and they were joined by four Republicans: Andy Biggs of Arizona, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Elijah Crane of Arizona and Matt Gaetz of Florida. But every other Republican voted to call it a day, and the House will return Thursday at noon to try again.

Just before the vote, McCarthy said some progress was made in negotiations with his opponents, and said it would be more productive to keep talking rather than hold more votes.

"I crawl before I walk, I walk before I run," McCarthy said after the House adjourned. "I felt as though we had a very good discussion."

McCarthy failed to get the 218 votes needed to win the speaker's gavel three times on Wednesday, and three times on Tuesday. He topped out at 203 votes on Tuesday, and on Wednesday mustered 201. (Fox News) Read more.

Retail pharmacies can now offer abortion pill, FDA says
Retail pharmacies can now offer abortion pill, FDA says

Telemedicine and mail delivery of the pills has allowed patients to circumvent state bans, and anti-abortion groups are exploring new ways to impose restrictions on them. The Biden administration, meanwhile, has been under pressure from pro-abortion rights groups and progressive lawmakers to do more to protect access in the post-Roe era.

The new rule will improve access to the pills only in states that already allow their use, though many patients in states with bans could take advantage of it by crossing a state line and picking the drugs up from a pharmacy.

And while they had some access to the drugs already, many people in more progressive states are expected to benefit from the new pharmacy option, including those without a stable home address, those who do not want a parent or partner to see the pills delivered by mail and those without internet access.

- Father, even with the blessing of Roe versus Wade being overturned, we realize that this battle is not fully won. Forgive us for allowing millions of lives to be lost through abortion. Break our hearts for what breaks Yours and lead us to pray and work to end abortion. Open our eyes to see the opportunities around us to stand and protect life. Awaken Your church to stand against this great evil in this nation and around the world.

House GOP to Vote on Pro-Life Protections in First Two Weeks
Here Comes the Big Red Agenda: House GOP to Vote on Pro-Life Protections in First Two Weeks

Republican leaders in the House of Representatives plan to ring in the new year with a conservative, pro-life agenda that proves elections have consequences. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) announced that “in the first two weeks of the Republican majority,” Congress will vote on 11 “commonsense measures” focused on protecting babies born alive during botched abortions, protecting taxpayers from funding abortion-on-demand, commending pregnancy resource centers, beefing up border security, protecting U.S. energy resources, and taking a tougher stance against the People’s Republic of China. “The American people spoke on November 8th and decided it was time for a new direction,” Scalise wrote in a letter to his colleagues on December 30.

Although the midterm’s big red wave did not materialize, “we have a red agenda that has won the day, and that agenda will move forward,” said former Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.), who now serves as Special Adviser to the President at Family Research Council, on “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” Tuesday afternoon. “It’s going to be a breath of fresh air for the American people.”

Scalise’s letter promised to bring several pro-life measures to the floor, including:

The “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection” Act

The “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure” Act

A resolution condemning the recent attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches

- Lord God Almighty, we offer a great chorus of PRAISE as we view these bills and others that will promote LIFE and undergird our traditional values as American citizens. Thank You, Lord, for each Republican member of Congress. May each one be guided by Your hand and protected by Your angelic host. In Your name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Will UN Security Council condemn Jews visiting Temple Mount? - Israel National News

Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan commented on the expected debate tomorrow (Thursday) in the Security Council following Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's visit to the Temple Mount yesterday.

"Tomorrow's discussion in the Security Council is a ridiculous and unnecessary discussion scheduled only because the UN is a crooked and biased body in which Israel is discriminated against," Ambassador Erdan said.

"I myself visited the Temple Mount as Public Security Minister, and I will make it clear again tomorrow in the debate, that Jewish visits to the Temple Mount are not a violation of the status quo and anyone who says otherwise is misleading and is causing security and stability to be undermined," he said,

The debate was initiated by the United Arab Emirates and China. Officials in the United Arab Emirates informed Israel of the move, which came following an appeal by the Palestinian Authority and Jordan. (Read more)

2. UAE Requests Emergency UN Security Council Meeting After Israeli Minister Visits Temple Mount - Algemeiner

JNS.org – The United Arab Emirates has requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir’s visit to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

The UAE submitted its request on behalf of the Arab League and at the behest of Jordan and the Palestinians. It comes after Ben-Gvir, the firebrand Otzma Yehudit party leader, ascended Judaism’s holiest site on Tuesday morning.

Ben-Gvir visit was widely and unsurprisingly criticized in the Arab world, including in the UAE and Jordan, which claim Ben-Gvir violated the status quo at the flashpoint holy site. The Temple Mount is also home to the Al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

3. Israel’s new gov’t proposes controversial ‘override clause’ to limit ‘undemocratic’ judicial power - World Israel News

Justice Minister Yariv Levin on Wednesday evening announced the government’s controversial plan to overhaul the legal system that would include exerting political control over Israel’s leftwing judiciary.

“As someone who grew up on Menachem Begin’s knees, I believe that there are judges in Jerusalem,” Levin said, referencing Israel’s first conservative prime minister from the late 1970s.

“But there is also a Knesset and a government in Jerusalem. The constitutional revolution of the judicial system has degraded trust in the system to a dangerous low, and damaged democracy and governance. People we did not elect decide for us. It is time to act,” said Levin. (Read more)

4. New coalition stance emboldens settlers, who plan to reestablish flashpoint outposts - Times of Israel

While completely overshadowed this week by the outcry over Itamar Ben Gvir’s visit to the Temple Mount, more drama is brewing in other focal points of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

On any other week, most of the international headlines would have gone to the government’s intention to cancel key parts of the Disengagement Law and to potentially re-legalize the four northern West Bank settlements Israel withdrew from in 2005 — Homesh, Ganim, Kadim and Sa-Nur.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s sixth government is also potentially gearing up to change the reality in other longtime flashpoints, such as the Evyatar illegal outpost. (Read more)

5. Israel's new gov't proposes controversial reforms to justice system - Jerusalem Post

Justice Minister MK Yariv Levin at an evening press conference on Wednesday presented his plan for reform of the legal system, which featured changes to key legal principles and institutions that would strengthen the legislative and executive branches at the expense of the judicial branch.

“We go to the polls, vote, choose, but time and time again people we didn’t choose decide for us,” said Levin. He decried what he said was a constitutional crisis and the increasing judicial intervention in government decisions.

Levin chose to present the plan less than 24 hours before the High Court was to hear the case against Shas chairman MK Arye Deri’s appointment as a minister – a highly contentious issue that, if the judges strike down his appointment, would serve as more fodder for Levin to decry judicial intervention. (Read more)

1. Judge Orders Biden Admin to Hand Over Communications With Tech Companies - Conservative Brief

A federal judge ordered the Biden administration to hand over communication documents between the federal government and big tech companies. U.S. District Court Judge Terry Doughty, of the Western District of Louisiana, granted the order of discovery sought by Republican Attorneys General Eric Schmitt of Missouri and Jeff Landry of Louisiana.

“In May, Missouri and Louisiana filed a landmark lawsuit against top-ranking Biden Administration officials for allegedly colluding with social media giants to suppress freedom of speech on a number of topics including the origins of COVID-19, the efficacy of masks, and election integrity,” Missouri Republican Senate candidate and current Attorney General Eric Schmitt said. “Today, the Court granted our motion for discovery, paving the way for my office to gather important documents to get to the bottom of that alleged collusion. This is a huge development.”

The lawsuit alleges that social media companies labeled information as “misinformation” and “disinformation” in violation of the First Amendment and that the federal government went beyond its authority, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Homeland Security violated the Administrative Procedure Act. (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank you that corruption is continuing to unravel and be exposed. We pray that the eyes of your people, and all Americans would be open to believe and accept the truth. In addition, we pray for people to stand up and hold those who have done evil accountable for their actions so that true Justice can take place in Jesus name.

- So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” (Romans 14:12)

2. Al Qaeda Plans Plane Attacks Using “New Techniques and Tactics” as Air Marshals Keep Getting Sent to Mexican Border - Judicial Watch

While the nation’s Federal Air Marshals (FAM) are busy on the Mexican border providing illegal immigrants with welfare checks, transportation, and other basic services, Al Qaeda is planning attacks in the U.S. involving planes, according to high-level Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sources.

Judicial Watch obtained from government sources a copy of the new intelligence alert, which was delivered on December 31, 2022, at 12:23:52 Greenwich Mean Time. The caption of the widely circulated warning reads: “Al-Qaeda says upcoming attacks on US, possibly involving planes, will use new techniques and tactics.”

The threat could not come at a worse time, as the Biden administration leaves aircraft at risk by sending 150-200 FAM monthly to the southern border to help deal with what it calls “a surge in irregular migration.” The deployments will continue indefinitely, according to multiple FAM sources, and the specially trained aviation security specialists are outraged. (Read more)

- Lord God, the first responsibility of the President of the United States, or any representative is to protect their constituents. Our government has fallen short in this area. But we thank you that you will never fail us, no matter how broken or evil, this world becomes. We count on you for our protection. And right now we sever these reports by the blood of Jesus, we command them to cease, and forbid them to come to pass in Jesus name.

3. More Than 2,500 Show Up for Kirk Cameron's Story Time Hour at Indianapolis Public Library - Christian Headlines

Thousands of people flocked to an Indianapolis public library for actor Kirk Cameron's story time hour of his new children's book. The event comes after 50 libraries rejected Cameron's request to host a story time hour of his new children's book, As You Grow, which "teaches kids biblical wisdom, through the seasons of life and how to grow the fruits of the Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control." The book is published by Brave Books.

According to The Post Millennial, most of the libraries that rejected Cameron's book have previously hosted Drag Queen Story Hours for children.
According to a tweet by Brave Books, more than 2,500 people showed up at the Indy library on Thursday.

"This is a message to every library in the United States: In 137 years of the Indianapolis Public Library's history, NEVER ONCE have they had over 2,500 people show up to a single event," the publication wrote. "UNTIL TODAY." (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank you that Biblical values are still appealing to many. The number of people who showed up to hear about the fruit of the Spirit testifies to this. This is truly a battle for the minds and souls of young children. Help us, Lord do whatever we can to be accountable and responsible to teach and raise at this next generation and do our part as the body of Christ in Jesus name amen.

- "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:26-27)

4. Adam Schiff’s Office Asked Twitter To Ban Investigative Journalist, Docs Show - The Daily Caller

The office of California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff asked Twitter to ban investigative journalist Paul Sperry, according to documents published Tuesday by veteran journalist Matt Taibbi.

Schiff’s office emailed Twitter analysis from the House Intelligence Committee related to “alleged harassment from Qanon conspiracists” against a Schiff staffer, according to an email tweeted by Taibbi as part of the latest “Twitter Files” reporting.

Schiff’s office asked Twitter to remove all content about his staff from the platform and suspend accounts, including Paul Sperry and author Greg Rubini. The company told Schiff’s office “we don’t do this” in response to removing content about the staffers, according to Taibbi.
Twitter promised Schiff’s office they would review Rubini and Sperry’s accounts, with Sperry being permanently suspended in August 2022. (Read more)

5. Separating school bathrooms based on sex is constitutional, court rules - Washington Examiner

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit ruled that separating bathrooms based on sex doesn't violate the Constitution or Title IX, a decision with repercussions for the nationwide debate over transgender issues. The ruling is likely to have widespread consequences in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

The case, Adams v. Sch. Bd. of St. Johns Cty, revolved around whether or not St. Johns County School Board in Florida violated a transgender student's rights by prohibiting the student, a biological female who identifies as a boy, from using the boys' bathroom at Allen D. Nease High School.

The court ruled en banc that the United States has a long tradition of segregating certain spaces, such as bathrooms, on the basis of sex, without falling afoul of either the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment or Title IX, which prohibits sex-based discrimination in education. As such, the student's rights weren't violated.
"Separating school bathrooms based on biological sex passes constitutional muster and comports with Title IX," Judge Barbara Lagoa, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, wrote for the court. Four judges appointed by Democrats dissented from the opinion. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, you are not the God of confusion. We thank you Lord, that your plan and your truth is firm, never changing, never wavering. Our hearts break for the confusion that is going on in the minds of young children. But right now, we choose to take our generation back. We choose to pray, and take back the minds of these young children, and we declare that they will know the truth, and the truth will set them free, and they will not be in confusion any longer in Jesus name amen!

- “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you freel" (John 8:32)

6. Mitch McConnell Becomes Longest Serving Party Leader in Senate History - Breitbart

McConnell, 80, will remain the Republican minority leader in the 118th Congress and thus eclipse the late Sen. Mike Mansfield’s time as Democrat leader from 1961 to 1977.

McConnell overcame ten Republican “no” votes in November to remain minority leader. The votes against McConnell marked the first time McConnell had received a “no” vote as leader, a sign the GOP has begun to turn against his establishment agenda.

“I don’t own this job,” McConnell claimed after the vote. “Anybody who wants to run for it can feel free to do so.” At noon, McConnell will deliver a speech on the Senate floor celebrating the moment. (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray for our current leaders that they would choose to repent and turn their face toward you, and rule and reign for the American people. We thank you Lord that you are raising up new, fresh individuals that are so bold and courageous that they will not falter, bend to public pressure, take bribes, or do what is evil in your sight, but that they will stand for righteousness and justice in our land in Jesus name amen.

- “The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.” (Ezekiel 18:20)

7. Twitter Files Part 11 shows how 'PR crisis' following 2016 election allowed company to embrace intel community - Fox News

The first “Twitter Files” of 2023 dove into the tech giant’s evolution from its resistance to its embrace of the intel community.
In the eleventh installment of Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files,” Substack writer Matt Taibbi reported about the “PR crisis” Twitter underwent in 2017 when Democrats pummeled the tech giant for its apparent inaction of investigating Russian influence on the platform as Facebook was public with uprooting suspicious foreign accounts following the 2016 presidential election.

Amid pressure, Twitter launched a “Russia Task Force” to investigate whether the Kremlin had such a foothold on the platform, even after it had suspended several suspected Russia-linked accounts. (Read more)

- Thank you Lord, for exposing all of the lies and corruption that have gone on for the past four years. We pray for recompense and payback from all that the devil has stolen from us and then it would be returned to our families and our country sevenfold in Jesus name amen.

- “. . . but if he is caught, he will pay sevenfold; he will give all the goods of his house.” ( Proverbs 6:31)

8. Twitter Files #12: “Twitter and the FBI Belly Button” - DML News

Taibbi titled his second dump of the day,  “Twitter and the FBI Belly Button.”   He uncovers details on how Twitter was being bombarded with requests “from every conceivable government body” to ZAP any account the government wanted eliminated.
The requests were pouring in from the FBI, DHS, HHS, NSA, State Department, Treasury, and even the Senate Intel Committee.

They also received an astonishing variety of requests from officials asking for individuals they didn’t like to be banned. I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR WORK LOAD”: Requests poured in from FBI offices all over the country, day after day, hour after hour: If Twitter didn’t act quickly, questions came: “Was action taken?” “Any movement?”  (Read more)

- Lord God, it is unbelievable that all of our government agencies, all designed supposedly to protect and watch over the American people, are the same entities working against us. We pray that these institutions would be re-organized and completely be turned around to work in favor of the American people. And we pray for recompense, for all that was stolen and lost because of these schemes in Jesus name amen.

- “Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.” (Zechariah 9:12)

9. World Health Organization asks for rapid, regular and reliable COVID data from China - Just the News

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebeyesus, World Health Organization Director-General: "We continue to ask China for more rapid, regular, reliable data on hospitalizations and deaths, as well as more comprehensive, real time viral sequencing. W.H.O.'s concerned about the risk to life in China and has reiterated the importance of vaccination." (Read more)

- Lord God, the WHO, China, and other health organizations have all failed horribly at protecting the citizens of the world from this disease. Nor have they provided accurate data. We cannot rely on these entities for truth. We ask for an increase in understanding from you Lord on how to discern the information being fed to us every day in Jesus name.

- “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.” (1 John 4:1

10. As storm hits, California orders evacuations in coastal area - AP

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — As a huge storm approached California, officials began ordering evacuations, including in a high-risk coastal area where 23 died in 2018 in a series of mudslides.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said the orders were for those impacted by the Alisal Fire last year, the Cave Fire in 2019 and the devastating Thomas Fire in 2017, one of the largest in California history.

In 2018, massive torrents carrying huge boulders, mud and debris roared down coastal mountains, and through the town of Montecito to the shoreline, killing 23 people and destroying more than 100 homes. Among those killed were two children whose bodies were never found.

Montecito Fire Department Chief Kevin Taylor said Wednesday that homes near waterways are at greatest risk.

“What we’re talking about here is a lot of water coming off the top of the hills, coming down into the creeks and streams and as it comes down, it gains momentum and that’s what the initial danger is,” he said. (Read more)

- In the name of Jesus, we pray a hedge of protection over each and every individual that is involved or caught in the storm. We thank you, Lord that you are sending your angels forth to supernaturally, protect peoples homes, and loved ones from disaster. We thank you God in advance that the damage will be minimal. And we just speak to the wind in the waves, and command them to cease now in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen.

- "And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm." (Mark 4:39)

Stupidocrisy: Centers For Disease Control And Wokeness

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, January 4, 2023

The Centers for Disease Control Division of Adolescent and School Health is calling on all school administrators to take its LGBTQ inclusivity self-assessment tool to help them “quickly gauge inclusivity at your school.” The 32-page assessment says in its overview, “Schools play a critical role in supporting the health and academic development of all youth, including the success of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/ questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Creating and sustaining inclusive school environments, policies, programs, and practices that include LGBTQ youth is one strategy for improving the health and academic success of all youth.” So now its CDC science that justifies sexual predation of school children?

As pointed out by a long-time Jot subscriber, this is incredible CDC mission drift. CDC’s mission, posted on its website says, “CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same. CDC increases the health security of our nation. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats. To accomplish our mission, CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects our nation against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise.” By this, CDC should be working to prevent the impact of LGBTQ predation. International Prayer Alert for Myanmar and the Buddhist World
Dear Praying Friends,
Hope you are enjoying a beautiful beginning to 2023 and will experience the love, grace, and blessing of God to a preeminent degree throughout the coming months! It is so great to know that He is with us in whatever circumstances we face as Jesus promised in His Great Commission- "And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age". Therefore, let's go for whatever He is calling us to do with great gusto and confidence that He will enable us to do it!

Myanmar is a nation that has been suffering the ravages of civil war after the coup of the military two years ago that booted out the popularly elected civilian government. A close colleague of mine from the international prayer movement as well as good friends who have helped lead the national prayer movement in that country have arranged a special prayer initiative for Christian leaders in the country this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 6-7. They will gather to seek the Lord for His deliverance of the nation and the restoration of good and legitimate governance. The current evil regime needs to be removed and the civilian government restored so the civil war can end. Also, many thousands of Buddhists are now wanting to know about how they can follow Jesus, and this huge harvest needs to be effectively brought in with local Christian workers feeling overwhelmed in knowing how best to handle it. How they need our prayer support!

Here is my colleague's letter from Myanmar asking for that support. His and other names are being withheld due to security sensitivity:

Historic Biblical Site Where Jesus ‘Healed The Blind’ Will Fully Open For The First Time In 2,000 Years

The biblical site of the Pool of Siloam will be fully open to the public for the first time in 2,000 years following excavation, according to a recent announcement from the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), the Israel National Parks Authority (INPA) and the City of David Foundation (CDF).

The Pool of Siloam is recorded in the Bible in 2 Kings 20:20 after King Hezekiah made the pool to bring water to Jerusalem and again in John 9:1-11 when Jesus healed a blind man with mud, according to the Biblical passage. The IAA announced the excavation on its Facebook page last week.

“For the first time in modern history, the Israel Antiquities Authority official archeological excavation will enable the exposure of the entire Pool of Siloam,” the announcement read. “At the first stage, visitors will be able to observe the archaeological excavations, and in the coming months, the Pool of Siloam will be accessible, as part of the tourist route that will begin at the southernmost point of the City of David and culminate at the Western Wall.” Read More

The Good News Corner
'Team Damar': God, Faith, and Prayer Become the Focus After Hamlin's Heart Attack on the Field
Seconds after Damar Hamlin collapsed from cardiac arrest Monday night, the field fell silent. Moments later, his teammates gathered together to pray for his recovery, and millions around the world flooded social media asking God to intervene. This viral prayer photo is not only a remarkable display of our need and dependence on God but also reveals how drawing together to seek Him can bring the world into unity. "The level of unity, over Damar Hamlin, in an often divided world, is awe-inspiring," wrote former NFL player Emmanuel Acho. This 24-year-old athlete's tragedy has reminded the world of the profound value of even one single life, and the outpouring of love and concern reflects something deeper happening right now in this moment. John 13:35 tells us, "By this, all men will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another." For many evangelists, pastors, athletes, and sports fans – love, in this moment, looks like prayer.

At the same time, situations like these cause us to recognize our human limitations and acknowledge God's power and sovereignty. "Never has the fragility of human life been revealed so obviously, so strikingly apparent, as was the case on the Monday Night Football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills," wrote sports journalist Bret Stuter. "I don't think it mattered to any of us who our team is, last night we all became Team Damar! Just seeing this young man collapse on the field was scary. I couldn't imagine what those who were actually there and witnessed this in person are feeling," wrote Cheyenne DeVore on Facebook. "The game meant nothing to any of them after this happened and that there shows true raw emotion from all." And as worship leader Sean Feucht wrote, the incident reveals that "God is STILL our only hope in time of need." (CBN) Read More
- Abba, we ask Your hedge of protection over Damar Hamlin's life. May the watching world SEE Your miraculous Hand in this tragedy, bringing You glory and spreading compassion and unity throughout our nation. By Your mercy display Your resurrected  power in Damar's life, bringing life and testimony of Your goodness into a dying world. In Jesus powerful name, Amen.

- "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."  (John 14:6)

Down at the cross where my Savior died,
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His name!

Refrain
Glory to His name, glory to His name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;

Jesus so sweetly abides within;
There at the cross where He took me in;
Glory to His name!

Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
I am so glad I have entered in;
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
Glory to His name!

Refrain

Come to this fountain so rich and sweet,
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet;
Plunge in today, and be made complete;
Glory to His name!
