Trump Details ‘Very Nice’ Letter Left Behind by Biden
|
|
President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening revealed the general content of a letter that was left behind by former President Joe Biden in the Oval Office’s Resolute Desk. Trump described the contents of Biden’s letter to him as “very nice” and “inspirational,” although he did not go into details about it. “It was a very nice letter,” Trump told reporters during a news conference, his first after returning to office as president. “It was a little bit of an inspirational-type letter. Enjoy it, do a good job. Important, very important. How important the job is.” The president added that he might release the letter to the public in the near future because the content was “a positive—for him.” He then stated, “I appreciated the letter.”
The letter was discovered on Monday evening in the Resolute Desk as Trump was signing a slew of executive orders while bantering with reporters about various topics. A reporter asked him whether Biden left the letter to him, which was simply addressed to “47,” referring to Trump. “He may have. Don’t they leave it in the desk? I don’t know,” Trump told reporters before he found an envelope with the note. “It could have been years before we found this thing,” he said to the reporter. The tradition of an outgoing president leaving a letter to the forthcoming commander-in-chief is a relatively recent phenomenon. In 1989, President Ronald Reagan left a note to his successor, President George H.W. Bush. Since then, outgoing presidents have left notes behind. Trump Tears DEI up at the Root, Rescinding Lyndon Johnson's Affirmative Action EO
|
|
Trump is laying waste to the racist DEI regime, not only in government but in the public sector. President Donald Trump evidently means business when it comes to eliminating racist DEI initiatives and other forms of race-based discrimination, both new and old.
On Tuesday, he issued an executive order directing all executive government departments and agencies to eliminate "all discriminatory and illegal preferences, mandates, policies, programs, activities, guidance, regulations, enforcement actions, consent orders, and requirements," as well to combat similarly discriminatory DEI policies and activities. Trump left virtually no ground for dissenting federal bureaucrats to take a stand on, rescinding President Lyndon B. Johnson's 1965 Executive Order 11246, which required that government contractors take affirmative action, as well as other race-prioritizing executive actions issued by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
In his order, titled "Ending illegal discrimination and restoring merit-based opportunity," Trump noted that while federal civil rights laws protect Americans from discrimination, roughly 60 years after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, numerous influential institutions, both private and public, "have adopted and actively use dangerous, demeaning, and immoral race- and sex-based preferences under the guise of so-called 'diversity, equity, and inclusion' (DEI) ... that can violate the civil-rights laws of this Nation." Trump Declares National Energy Emergency, Signs Alaska Executive Order
|
|
The president reiterated that energy has played a substantial role in inflation.
Within hours of returning to the White House, President Donald Trump signed a “national energy emergency” declarationand a corresponding slate of policy directives and actions designed to animate his “Unleash American Energy” agenda.
The executive order would enable the United States to accelerate oil and gas production by encouraging energy exploration and production on federal lands, cutting red tape and regulations, and eliminating the electric vehicle mandate.
The national energy emergency was invoked under the National Emergencies Act, extending Trump’s emergency powers. It orders the heads of federal departments and agencies to find emergency authorities to bolster production and possibly issue emergency fuel waivers to permit the year-round sale of gasoline containing high ethanol volumes.
“That’s a big one,” Trump said to reporters at the White House. “That means you can do whatever you have to do to get out of that problem. And we do have that kind of an emergency.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Trump Signs Executive Order Calling for Houthis to Be Relisted as Terrorist Group
|
|
The order calls on the U.S. secretary of state to recommend designating the Yemen-based group as a terror organization within 30 days.
U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday calling on the U.S. secretary of state to designate the Houthis as a terror group within the next 30 days.
Trump designated the Iranian-backed group—which is also known as Ansar Allah—as a foreign terrorist organization in January 2021, during his first term.
“Within one month of taking office, the Biden administration reversed the Houthis’ designation,” per a White House fact sheet. “As a result of the Biden administration’s weak policy, the Houthis have fired at U.S. Navy warships dozens of times, launched numerous attacks on civilian infrastructure in partner nations and attacked commercial vessels transiting” between Yemen and the Horn of Africa “more than 100 times.”
“Under President Trump, it is now the policy of the United States to cooperate with its regional partners to eliminate the Houthis’ capabilities and operations, deprive them of resources and thereby end their attacks on U.S. personnel and civilians, U.S. partners and maritime shipping in the Red Sea,” the White House stated.

1. Israel asks US for delay in withdrawal from South Lebanon - i24 News
As the 60-day ceasefire period comes to an end, Israel has requested an additional delay from the United States for its withdrawal from South Lebanon, with a crucial meeting to be held Thursday evening between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz.
Strong US pressure has been placed on Israel for its withdrawal within the agreed deadlines. However, senior Israeli security officials criticize the slow redeployment of the Lebanese army south of the Litani River.
A Western official in Beirut, speaking to Israel's national broadcaster Kan, believes that "the Israeli forces will not completely withdraw from Lebanese territory by this Sunday." He said that "the messages transmitted by the IDF to international bodies in Lebanon in recent days are not unambiguous." (Read more)

2. IDF to stay in southern Lebanon after deadline - Jerusalem Post
The IDF will stay in southern Lebanon after day 60 of the ceasefire but it’s still unclear for how long, according to sources in the defense establishment and ministers, who convened on Thursday night to discuss the situation. Sunday will mark 60 days since the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect on November 27.
The agreement drafted by US envoy Amos Hochstein dictates that the Lebanese Army will be deployed in southern Lebanon during the first 60 days, dismantling Hezbollah camps and equipment. After day 60, Israeli forces are expected to completely withdraw from Lebanese territory.
Israeli officials, however, have said the Lebanese Army is not doing the job fast enough.
“The deployment is not according to the schedule, and the work they are doing on the ground is minimal”, two Israeli officials told The Jerusalem Post. (Read more)

3. Hamas Terrorists Admit Israeli Hostages Held at Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital - Algemeiner
Israeli hostages were held in Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital, a new report citing terrorists’ confessions revealed this week.
The discovery followed an Israeli raid that uncovered a sprawling network of terrorists operating within the hospital’s walls, leading to the detention of over 240 Hamas terrorists, some of whom — including a senior commander who attempted to evade capture by posing as a patient with a broken arm — admitted that the facility was used as a base for Hamas operations.
The hospital, which is located in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, was used to hide terrorists at different times, Fox News Digital said in a report published on Tuesday. According to captured terrorist Anas Muhammad Faiz al-Sharif, the hospital was seen as a “a safe haven for them because the [Israeli] military cannot directly target it.”
Gonen Ben Itzhak, former spy handler for Mosab Yousef, the son of Hamas’s co-founder who became an informant for Israel, said the news came as no surprise, noting that international aid organizations were “complicit in war crimes carried out under the cover of those criticizing Israel.” (Read more)

4. Hamas says it will give Israel names on Friday of the 4 hostages to be freed Saturday - Times of Israel
A senior Hamas official said Thursday that the terror group will provide Israel on Friday with the names of the four hostages who will be released on Saturday in the second hostage-prisoner exchange step of the first phase of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement.
Speaking to the Qatari Al-Araby news outlet, senior Hamas leader Zaher Jabarin said “Tomorrow we will give the mediators the names of the four hostages who will be released.”
Jabarin, who is in charge of the group’s activities in the West Bank, lives in Istanbul and is a Hamas leader in exile. (Read more)

5. Israel, Egypt agree on PA management of Rafah Crossing - Israel Hayom
Israel and Egypt have agreed that the Gaza side of the Rafah crossing will be managed by the Palestinian Authority, under United Nations supervision, according to a report published this morning (Wednesday) in the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat.
According to the report, the agreement on the crossing - the only crossing point between Egypt and and the Gaza Strip - was reached during a meeting between Mossad Director David Barnea, Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar, and Egyptian intelligence head Hassan Rashad.
A source monitoring the Gaza ceasefire implementation confirmed the agreement, but noted that no timeline has been set for the transfer of control or the reopening of the crossing. (Read more)

1. Trump Executive Orders: Good for Israel, the Jews and America – Israel365 News
Trump began his second term by signing a staggering amount of executive orders, rescinding at least 78 of those signed into law by Biden. While many of the orders concerned the southern border (which can now officially be referred to as a crisis) and reversing the disastrous policies enforcing “diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), several of the newly signed executive orders will help Israel in significant ways that will help undo some of the damage caused by the Democrats’ pro-Iranian regime policies.
One order, Executive Order 14115 issued on Feb. 1, 2024, by the former Biden administration, put sanctions on Jewish groups living in Judea and Samaria, describing them as “Persons Undermining Peace, Security, and Stability in the West Bank.” The policy of sanctioning Jews in Judea and Samaria was premised on the claim of violence carried out by “settlers.” This claim flies in the face of contradictory data tracking violence and ignores Palestinian violence, much of it carried out by US-funded Palestinian Authority security forces.
Biden’s sanctions targeting Jews were challenged in court as some of the sanctioned individuals were US citizens. The plaintiffs argued that BIden’s actions violated their constitutional rights to free expression, freedom of religion, and due process. They also alleged the sanctions regime discriminates based on religion by primarily targeting Jews. Trump also signed an executive order “reevaluating and realigning foreign aid." The order stated that “the United States foreign aid industry and bureaucracy are not aligned with American interests and in many cases antithetical to American values. They serve to destabilize world peace by promoting ideas in foreign countries that are directly inverse to harmonious and stable relations internal to and among countries.” (Read more)

We rejoice that Israel is lifted up and supported by these orders and that their enemies are defunded on our part. Bless You that Israel's enemies can no longer misuse the humanitarian support that was meant for their hungry and wounded citizens. 3. A Healthy Reset: Trump Withdraws US from World Health Organization - Prophecy NewsWatch
President Donald Trump has kept his campaign promise to protect American national sovereignty from encroaching global governance bodies by ordering the U.S. to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO).
An executive order titled "Withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization" says the United States will leave WHO due to its "mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic that arose out of Wuhan, China, and other global health crises, its failure to adopt urgently needed reforms, and its inability to demonstrate independence from the inappropriate political influence of WHO member states" -- presumably the People's Republic of China, which sponsored the selection of WHO General-Secretary Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus. The exit order, which will take effect one year after notification, came amidst a flurry of executive orders the president signed within hours of taking the oath of office.
"The Trump administration's announcement that it will withdraw from the WHO is a welcome step toward a healthy 'reset' of current global power dynamics," Travis Weber, vice president for Policy and Government Affairs at Family Research Council, told The Washington Stand exclusively. We thank You, Our Mighty Lord, that in his wisdom, President Trump has chosen to relieve us of this threat of dominance by those who would take our money and then do harmful things with it such as promote abortion, transgender medication, and silence voices that do not agree with their views. 4. New Hughes Fire Engulfs Over 10,000 Acres North of Los Angeles – The Epoch Times
The new fire led to mandatory evacuation orders for over 30,000 people, including inmates in a detention center.
The Hughes Fire which broke out on Wednesday morning in a rugged mountainous area north of Los Angeles has exploded to more than 10,000 acres. The wildfire has led to mandatory evacuation orders for tens of thousands of people, including inmates at a Los Angeles detention center.
The fire, which is burning in both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, was 14 percent contained as of 10:22 p.m. It has not claimed any structures, Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said at a press conference Wednesday evening.
Currently there are 4,000 firefighters deployed; approximately 32,000 people are affected by evacuation orders, and approximately 23,000 more are under evacuation warnings, he added. (Read more) |

5. Trump’s Border Czar Confirms Deportations Have Already Started – The Epoch Times
ICE teams are targeting those who have been convicted of a serious crime and are in the country illegally, Tom Homan said.
President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan said Tuesday that U.S. immigration officials have already started carrying out deportations, targeting illegal immigrants who are deemed a threat to public safety.
Homan, a former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), toldFox News on Tuesday that regarding deportation operations, “it already started” and that operations are primarily focused on “public safety threats.”
“ICE teams are out there as of today,” he said, without providing details on where. Homan then made note of leaks to the media about ICE targeting areas in Chicago and suggested that a different plan was initiated.
That includes people who are in the country illegally who have been convicted of a serious crime, he said. He said that anyone who is in the United States illegally has been put on notice. (Read more) |

6. Trump Pardons Jailed J6ers – Presidential Prayer Team
President Donald Trump pardoned roughly 1,500 and commuted the sentences of 6 who were imprisoned over the events of January 6, 2021. The House select committee had reportedly suppressed certain evidence and then destroyed records pertaining to the investigation of the events of January 6th, “irreparably tainting” the legal record.
President Biden pardoned 1,500 convicted of drug-related crimes and commuted death row murderers’ sentences in December. He then pardoned 2,500 more days before leaving office. Pardon Me?

Joe Biden will go down in history as one of the worst presidents. He also will be the one known for the most pardons. He pardoned murderers, rapists, drug dealers, people who destroyed families and worked against America. And at the last minute, he pardoned his family members for crimes of which they haven’t been charged. Did the same for the January 6 committee members and congressional staff that fabricated the “insurrection” narrative to impeach Donald Trump and jail hundreds of Capitol Hill bystanders. Biden also pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci of COVID fame for any crimes that he may have committed. These so-called preemptive pardons are extraordinary, but there is something even more hidden.
It is obvious to most Americans, except the media, that the stated reason of protecting these people against Trump political retribution is gaslighting. On Sunday, three Israeli hostages, Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher, were released and handed over to the Red Cross. The young women have now been reunited with their families.
However, disturbing details of their ordeal have surfaced, including that the three women were held for at least part of their 471 days in captivity within United Nations shelters.

Prior to signing the pardons, Trump commented that none of the 23 pro-lifers should have been “prosecuted,” adding that signing the pardons is a “great honor.”
The now-pardoned pro-lifers are: Joan Bell, Coleman Boyd, Joel Curry, Jonathan Darnel, Eva Edl, Chester Gallagher, Rosemary “Herb” Geraghty, William Goodman, Dennis Green, Lauren Handy, Paulette Harlow, John Hinshaw, Heather Idoni, Jean Marshall, Fr. Fidelis Moscinski, Justin Phillips, Paul Place, Bevelyn Beatty Williams, and Calvin, Eva, and James Zastrow.
After the pardons were signed, LifeSiteNews spoke with imprisoned pro-lifer Joan Andrews’ husband, Chris Bell, who said that he believes his wife is still in federal custody at a prison facility near Philadelphia. He was uncertain when she would be released.
Chris said that during his last phone conversation with Joan earlier in the day that she was pleading for the pro-life movement to maintain unity.
“We shouldn’t complain about each other and our tactics,” said Chris, quoting his wife. “We need to be working together to end the holocaust.”

Speaking via video to the massive rally of pro-lifers, Donald Trump commended them for valuing every child as a 'beautiful gift from the hand of our creator' while again reiterating that it was an 'honor' to sign yesterday's pardons for jailed activists.

U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the 52nd annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. via video on Friday, just one day after pardoning 23 pro-lifers imprisoned by the Biden administration.
After recalling the historic Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade and returning abortion to “a vote of the people,” as he put it, Trump said “we will again stand proudly for families and for life” focusing on the subject of making it easier to choose life. “We will protect our gains, work to offer a loving hand for mothers and for families, and promote adoption,” he said.
“We will finally investigate attacks on pregnancy center and churches,” Trump went on, referencing a conspicuous double-standard under the Biden administration. He then referenced his pardoning of the peaceful pro-life activists.
Trump singled out the example of Paulette Harlow, who is 75 and suffers numerous debilitating health conditions, yet sentenced to 24 months in jail for blocking access to a late-term abortion facility in Washington, DC in 2020. She had been found guilty in November 2023 on charges of “conspiracy against rights” and violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.
“Never again will religious persecution” be allowed in the United States, Trump declared.

Fast-moving Hughes Fire erupts in Los Angeles County as California officials order evacuations

Over 31,000 California residents ordered to evacuate due to expansive wildfire
A sprawling wildfire recently erupted in Los Angeles County on Wednesday, prompting evacuation orders impacting tens of thousands of California residents.
The Hughes Fire, which was first reported on Wednesday morning, was first located in the unincorporated community of Castaic in northwestern Los Angeles County.
As of 11 p.m. local time, the fire was 14% contained and had burned over 10,000 acres, with zero structures damaged or destroyed, according to the incident report. More than 4,000 fire personnel are assigned to Hughes Fire.
"The weather is what is predominantly driving this fire and its spread right now. A red flag warning remains in effect until 10 a.m. Friday," Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Anthony Marrone said. "It remains a difficult fire to contain, although we are getting the upper hand."
Over 50,000 people have been affected either by evacuation orders or warnings, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna.
Parts of Interstate 5 were closed, but reopened late Wednesday night.
Earlier in the day, Cal Fire urged residents in several regions near the Hughes Fire to leave immediately, including the vicinity of Castaic Lake, Paradise Ranch and the Ridge Route. Read More
