After Losing Home in LA Fire, Mel Gibson Feels ‘Free’ to Pursue Resurrection Film: ‘Called to Do It’
Film actor and director Mel Gibson says now is the perfect time for him to begin production on the highly anticipated sequel to “The Passion of the Christ” after a 20-year hiatus. The Academy Award-winning filmmaker talked faith and a little politics while appearing on the debut episode of the “Arroyo Grande with Raymond Arroyo” podcast. During the interview, Gibson shared he just lost his home during the massive and deadly fires that broke out in the Los Angeles area on Jan. 7. However, he said it has been a “blessing” in disguise. “It was an odd mixture of sadness and a kind of a weird realization and blessing because they are just things,” he told Arroyo. “Yeah, I’m going to miss some stuff. There was some valuable stuff, some personal stuff, but I feel like I’m being stripped down and prepared for something else. I feel like the Almighty is preparing me to do something big.”

Like many A-list celebrities who have lost their homes, the “Flight Risk” director expressed that Los Angeles officials mishandled the crisis, calling it a “'monumental mismanagement.' You got nothing but rampant crime, acute homelessness, high taxes, mismanagement of water, firefighters, defunding the department, and we’re supposed to trust them with millions of dollars to sort of remake where we live? It’s our city, it’s the city of the people, and they have another plan,” he expressed. “(Gavin Newsom) is saying build back better. Have you ever seen government build back better? The last thing we need is a bunch of bureaucrats telling us how to build our communities,” Gibson added. The 69-year-old says despite the mismanagement and the disaster, it is important to look at the upside and trust God. “You seek first the kingdom of God and you will always be ok,” he said. “You’ll get what you need. Look at the flowers of the field, look at the birds of the air. They get fed, they get clothed. That’s Matthew I think.” Gibson’s outlook said the loss of his home in the fires has been a “purification.” (Faithwire) Watch Video and Read More Here

- Abba, we celebrate testimonies from Hollywood revealing Holy Spirit revelations and eyes being unveiled in the midst of the LA fires. Use Mel Gibson mightily as Film Director to bring You glory. May his powerful testimony of God's spiritual 'purification' draw many to You. We ask You to lead Mel Gibson by Your Spirit, in the making of the 'Resurrection' movie, as in 'The Passion of the Christ'. We declare that this new film will cause life-changing encounters with the living Christ and bring many to salvation, not only in America but throughout the nations! By the Blood and Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.

- "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ form the dead." (1 Peter 1:3)
Pentagon to deploy about 1,500 troops to the southern border
Pentagon to deploy about 1,500 troops to the southern border: "Just the Beginning"

The U.S. military has deployed approximately 1,500 troops to the southern border to aid the Department of Homeland Security’s border security measures. President Donald Trump signed several executive orders in his first hours back in the White House designed to curb illegal immigration, deport undocumented migrants from the United States back to their country of origin, and more aggressively target gangs and traffickers.

It’s not clear yet which units will be deployed to the southern border and when they will arrive there, though a senior military official told reporters it will consist of about 1,000 Army personnel and 500 Marines.

Acting Secretary of Defense Robert Salesses announced on Wednesday that he will deploy an additional 1,500 ground personnel, helicopters with associated crews, and intelligence analysts to support increased detection and monitoring. (Read more)

- Lord, we know that there is evidence of an enormous number of dangerous illegal aliens that are on U.S. soil. We thank you Lord that this new administration that the laws of our land are being enforced, and that we can live safely in our own land again. In Jesus' name, men.

22 States Sue to Block Trump’s Order to End Birthright Citizenship
A coalition of attorneys general is seeking to block the president’s order denying citizenship to children born of illegal immigrants and other non-citizens.

A coalition of 22 state attorneys general and two cities have filed lawsuits seeking to block President Donald Trump’s executive order denying citizenship to children born in the United States to illegal immigrants and other non-citizens.

One of the complaints, filed on Jan. 21 at the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts, alleges that Trump’s Jan. 20 order to end birthright citizenship violates the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Section 1401 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
“President Trump’s attempt to unilaterally end birthright citizenship is a flagrant violation of our Constitution,” Platkin said in a statement. “For more than 150 years, our country has followed the same basic rule: babies who are born in this country are American citizens.”

In addition to New Jersey, the other states in the suit are California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, plus the District of Columbia and the City and County of San Francisco.

Four additional states—Arizona, Illinois, Oregon, and Washington—filed a separate complaint in a Seattle court, making essentially the same claim.

Trump’s order, issued shortly after he assumed office on Jan. 20, claims that the Fourteenth Amendment’s Citizenship Clause does not universally grant citizenship to everyone born in the United States.

In particular, it argues that the phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” in the citizenship clause excludes children of illegal immigrants and other non-citizens from automatic U.S. citizenship. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.
- Abba, the concept of denying children citizenship who are born here in the states to non-citizens is very complex because of all those who came into our country illegally. We ask You to provide Your son, Donald, supernatural wisdom and vision as his lawyers defend these cases in court.  Father God, we ask You to give all those in the Judiciary a complete awareness of how You see this Executive Order in light of the Fourteenth Amendment.  We ask for Your justice as this concept of birthright citizenship is determined in the courts. Jesus, we know that Your heart is for our nation, so we ask that Your perfect will be done in the courts because this impacts so many that are Your kids who are not US citizens.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Rohi, The Lord Our Shepherd.

- "Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name lead and guide me."

Trump Administration Removes Coast Guard Commandant
Adm. Linda Fagan was relieved of her post in a memo issued Tuesday by the acting secretary of Homeland Security
The U.S. Coast Guard’s commandant, Adm. Linda Fagan, has been removed from her duties and position by the acting head of the Department of Homeland Security, according to a memo sent out Tuesday.

Fagan assumed the duties in June 2022 under the Biden administration. President Donald Trump has named Adm. Kevin Lunday, the vice commandant, to become the Coast Guard’s commandant, and he must be confirmed by the Senate.

The message, released by Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Benjamine Huffman, said that he has relieved Fagan “of her duties as Commandant of the United States Coast Guard,” saying she “served a long and illustrious career, and I thank her for her service to our nation.”

For the interim period, Lunday will serve as the acting commandant of the Coast Guard “and assumes all the authority and responsibilities of the office,” Huffman wrote in the memo.

No reasons were given for relieving Fagan from her position, and Fagan has not issued a public response. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, President Trump said that there would be "big changes" at the top of all governmental groups and Commandant Fagan seems to be one.  We ask for Your wisdom for President Trump's staff as they make these decisions, give them eyes to see what You see, give them guidance to move forward in this process in righteousness.  We ask for Your purposes to be accomplished in each decision and each person's life that is being redeployed.  We thank You for the changes You are bringing, we thank You that You are our God and we can trust You to rearrange, rebuild and redirect our government under President Trump's leadership. We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.

- "The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace."

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israel demanding that Arbel Yehud be released this Saturday - Israel National News

Israel demanded on Wednesday that Hamas release Arbel Yehud (28), who was abducted on October 7th, 2023, from Nir Oz, this coming Saturday.

On Friday, Israel is expected to officially receive the list of hostages scheduled to be released the next day. Hamas refuses to commit to her release or to provide Israel with information about her condition and claims that she is being held by terrorists from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Earlier in the day, Mossad Director David Barnea and ISA Director Ronen Bar returned from meetings in Egypt during which they voiced concerns that Hamas would not hand over a list of living hostages as it had promised.

About a month ago, Arbel's father, Yehiel, revealed a recording of his daughter. In the five-minute recording, Arbel says: "My dear mother, I love you and miss you." (Read more)

2. Israel and UAE agree on 'Day After' plan in Gaza - Israel Hayom

Israel and the United Arab Emirates have reached a preliminary agreement today (Wednesday) on how Gaza will be managed after the war. However, the implementation of the plan requires a "Palestinian invitation."

According to Abu Dhabi's approach, the next move must come from the Palestinians themselves, rather than being initiated by Israel. Alternatively, as Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer hinted in the Knesset, American or international sponsorship could also propel the plan forward.

Information obtained by Israel Hayom reveals that the UAE, which spearheaded the Abraham Accords in 2020, has agreed in principle to take responsibilityfor Gaza's management post-war. The emirates aim to rebuild the region in a way that neutralizes any potential threat to Israel. Known for leading the Arab world in opposing jihad and the use of Islam for violence, the UAE is prepared to instill these values in Gaza. (Read more)

3. IDF investigating possible terror drone found near Jewish town in Samaria - World Israel News

The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday responded to reports of a possible armed drone discovered outside the Jewish town of Yitzhar in Samaria, a military spokesperson told JNS.

Troops were called to the scene after residents found “a suspicious object in the form of a drone,” the IDF spokesperson confirmed.

The soldiers moved to close the area until bomb disposal experts could be brought in to neutralize the object, according to the military.

According to the Israel Hayom daily, the incident marked the second time a suspicious drone has been found in the vicinity of Yitzhar. The previous UAV was found to be carrying a mock bomb, residents said. (Read more)

4. UNRWA operations in east Jerusalem set to end, concerns continue - Jerusalem Post

Israel’s ban on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) operations in east Jerusalem is due to take effect on January 31, but both the UNRWA and Israeli officials are still unclear about what will actually happen in practice, particularly regarding education services, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

According to a UNRWA official, “We have no visibility on how the law would be implemented.”

The uncertainty also revolves around the fact that the High Court of Justice has yet to rule on a request for an injunction by a number of NGOs to delay the bill’s implementation. The court will rule on the injunction on January 27, just three days before the ban is set to take effect, the official said.

“We have 750 children in school in east Jerusalem – partway through their school year. We also provide 80,000 health consultations annually in east Jerusalem for 70,000 vulnerable people with no access to anything else,” the official added. (Read more)

5. Lebanon Army Aids Hezbollah: Weapons Found Near Israeli Border Before Ceasefire Deadline - Jewish Press

Three weeks ago, Major General Uri Gordin, Commander of the IDF Northern Command, informed members of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee of significant ceasefire violations by Hezbollah. According to a report from Kan News, General Gordin stated that since the ceasefire with Lebanon began, Hezbollah has committed hundreds of violations. Alarmingly, he revealed that the Lebanese Army is not only failing to enforce the ceasefire but is actively assisting Hezbollah in its operations.

This past week, a similar report was presented in a closed session of the Knesset’s committee. The detailed briefing included specific locations where Hezbollah is manufacturing and storing weapons, evidence of Hezbollah forces operating in areas prohibited by the ceasefire agreement, and additional infractions that have gone unaddressed—even by Israel.

The 60-day ceasefire with Lebanon (Hezbollah) is set to expire next week, and the accumulating evidence suggests that an IDF withdrawal from Lebanon would be untenable under the current circumstances. The growing threat posed by Hezbollah’s actions, compounded by the complicity of the Lebanese Army, has heightened concerns within Israel’s security establishment. (Read more)

1. Trump fires 4 Biden appointees, including his own former Iran envoy - The Hill

President Trump announced the firing of four high-profile presidential appointees just after midnight Tuesday, including a top envoy to Iran during his first term, Brian Hook, and retired Gen. Mark Milley, whom Trump tapped as Joint Chiefs chair in 2018.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that fired Hook from the Wilson Center; Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council; celebrity chef and humanitarian José Andrés from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition; and Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta, from the President’s Export Council.

“Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,” Trump posted on Truth Social just past midnight Tuesday. (Read more)
- Lord we cover President Trump in the blood of Jesus and pray that he has wisdom and strength, in all he does. We pray Lord that he makes wise decisions and that all new hirings will be filled with people of integrity and character that will help make our country great again. In Jesus' name, amen.

- “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” (Proverbs 11:3)

2. Biggs takes step toward launching Arizona governor’s bid - The Hill

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) announced on Tuesday that he has filed a statement of interest for an Arizona gubernatorial bid ahead of the 2026 election. “Arizona has a bright future but will need strong leadership to reach its full potential. I have been honored to serve Arizona at the state and federal levels and will bring my experience home to my native state to help it fulfill its tremendous capacity,” Biggs said in a statement posted on X.

“I have a firm understanding of what the state needs to thrive,” he continued. “I look forward to conversing with my fellow Arizonans as I consider this weighty decision.” Biggs, a member of the House Freedom Caucus who has represented Arizona’s 5th Congressional District since 2017, is one of the first major names to formally file a statement of interest in the race.

Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Karrin Taylor Robson, who ran for the job in 2022 and lost to Kari Lake, is another name who might enter the race again. President Trump endorsed Taylor Robson while in Phoenix last month despite the fact that she hadn’t announced a bid at the time. (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray for this Governor's seat that it would be filled with a righteous individual that would stand up for Arizonans. We pray for the state of Arizona, that justice would come to that state and that all that was stolen would be restored in Jesus name.

3. Trump suspends US foreign assistance for 90 days pending reviews - Associated Press

President Donald Trump signed an executive order temporarily suspending all U.S. foreign assistance programs for 90 days pending reviews to determine whether they are aligned with his policy goals. It was not immediately clear how much assistance would initially be affected by the Monday order as funding for many programs has already been appropriated by Congress and is obligated to be spent, if not already spent.

The order, among many Trump signed on his first day back in office, said the “foreign aid industry and bureaucracy are not aligned with American interests and in many cases antithetical to American values” and “serve to destabilize world peace by promoting ideas in foreign countries that are directly inverse to harmonious and stable relations internal to and among countries.”

Consequently, Trump declared that “no further United States foreign assistance shall be disbursed in a manner that is not fully aligned with the foreign policy of the President of the United States.” (Read more)

- Thank you Lord for this wise decision by our new president, Donald Trump. We pray Lord that the corruption and fraud that has been done with foreign assistance be revealed and brought to the light. We pray justice would be done swiftly and that all that has been lost would be restored in Jesus name. Amen.

- “Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.” (Ephesians 4:28)

4. Trump releases statement about Russia - DML News

President Donald Trump posted a statement on his Truth Social page Wednesday morning, confirming he has no interest in going to war with Russia. However, he stressed that Russia’s war with Ukraine needs to come to a halt, pronto.

I’m not looking to hurt Russia. I love the Russian people, and always had a very good relationship with President Putin – and this despite the Radical Left’s Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX.
We must never forget that Russia helped us win the Second World War, losing almost 60,000,000 lives in the process. All of that being said, I’m going to do Russia, whose Economy is failing, and President Putin, a very big FAVOR. Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT’S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE.

If we don’t make a “deal,” and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries. Let’s get this war, which never would have started if I were President, over with! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way – and the easy way is always better. It’s time to “MAKE A DEAL.” NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!! (Read more)

- Lord we continue to lift up the people of Ukraine and Russia to you that you would help them and comfort them. We pray Lord that Russia would make the right decision to end this war swiftly in Jesus' name. We continue to pray peace over these two countries, that your love and your perfect peace will surround them silencing all chaos and confusion. In Jesus' name, amen.

- “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16 )

5. Trump 'misrepresented' Hunter Biden laptop letter, John Brennan complains after losing security clearance - Fox News

Ex-CIA Director John Brennan claimed President Donald Trump had “misrepresented the facts” on the Hunter Biden laptop story after his security clearance was revoked Tuesday.
By executive order, Trump revoked the security clearances of the 51 former intel officials who signed the 2020 letter claiming that the release of emails from the laptop had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” Many of them were open supporters at the time of Joe Biden’s presidential campaign against Trump.

The signatories said in the letter they did not know if the emails “are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement — just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.”

Brennan, who was among the signers, called the executive order “bizarre” and claimed Trump distorted the letter. “Signatories of the letter falsely suggested that the news story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign,” Trump’s executive order said of “the former intelligence officials who engaged in misleading and inappropriate political coordination with the 2020 Biden presidential campaign.” (Read more)
- Lord God we know nothing was misrepresented and that lying in fact was done in this matter. We thank you for bringing justice to this situation and that all the corruption will now be exposed, in Jesus' name, amen.

- "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; faithful love and truth go before You." (Psalm 89:14)

Stupidocrisy: Senate Confirmation Hearings

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, January 22, 2025

In watching to some of the Senate confirmation hearings of President Trump’s cabinet nominees, it is a crying shame that these elected representatives are so very ignorant, rude, and, quite frankly, stupid. Let’s remember the definition of stupid: given to unintelligent decisions or acts; acting in an unintelligent or careless manner. Many, especially on the Democrat side of the aisle, used their time to promote their own personal legislation, to grandstand on political issues, or to attack the policies of Trump in his last administration—policies that actually worked. One of the hearings that demonstrated this collective dullness of intelligence was the hearing for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

Over the last four years, Democrats in both the Administration and Congress supported policies that stoked inflation and opened the borders to millions of illegal aliens. This has caused a housing crisis. Joe Biden’s energy policies doubled the price of fuel, which caused record inflation by driving up all goods, both in production and transportation. This had a significant impact on housing prices. In addition, the record influx of people coming into this country and the subsequent government programs making taxpayers pay for free or subsidized housing of these illegals, made housing in short supply—also driving up prices. So the question is how are young people expected to realize the American dream of home ownership? Read More

Border czar Tom Homan sends message to far-left officials pushing back against mass deportations: 'Game on'
Tom Homan tells 'FOX & Friends' that ICE has started mass deportation operations

Border czar Tom Homan issued a stark warning to blue cities and states resisting the Trump administration's mass deportations, telling far-left officials who want to stifle the efforts, "Game on."

"We're just trying to help public safety in your community," Homan told Lawrence Jones during "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday.

"Help, work with us because you've forced us in the community. Here's what's going to happen. We'll find the bad guy, but when we find him, he's going to be with others, others that may not be a criminal priority. But guess what? If they're in the United States illegally, they're going to be arrested, too."

"Sanctuary cities are going to get exactly what they don't want — more agents in the communities, more people arrested, more collaterals arrested. So that's a game they want to play? Game on," he continued.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is just one of the attorneys general among the batch of far-left officials that have pushed back against the Trump administration's efforts to reduce the surge of illegal immigrants.

She previously defended Dreamers, beneficiaries of the Obama-era DACA program, saying any federal attempts to send them to their home countries would be "a bright red line for me."

"I also will not have any part of and will fight the attempt to set up what I believe are essentially concentration camps and family separation camps in the state of Arizona," Mayes said Tuesday.

Homan called her remarks "insulting" and a misrepresentation of the truth. (Fox News)

Trump's FBI overhaul puts 'untouchable' feds on notice: former agent

Trump named Brian Driscoll to serve as acting director of the FBI

President Donald Trump has promised to usher in a new era in America's top investigative unit — the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) — with day one changes being implemented as key senior roles were reassigned.

The agency's shakeup began when former FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was nominated by Trump in his first administration, announced last month that he would step down from his post. Hours before Trump was sworn in, acting director Paul Abbate similarly stepped down.

The Associated Press reported, citing a person familiar with the matter, that the longtime head of the Justice Department’s office of international affairs, Bruce Swartz, was reassigned along with as many as 20 other staffers.

On Monday, the White House announced Brian Driscoll as acting director of the FBI. Driscoll’s time as acting director will presumably end when Kashyap "Kash" Patel is confirmed as the FBI’s next director by the U.S. Senate.

Throughout former President Biden's term, the FBI was entangled in repeated scandals, prompting President Trump to promise to root out corruption in the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Former FBI agent and Fox News contributor Nicole Parker told Fox News Digital that Abbate's retirement was a "good idea."

"He had to have known that his days were likely very much numbered," she said. "It's been widely publicized and well known that Paul Abbate was involved in pushing the raid at Mar-a-Lago. Also, he was very involved in pushing the Jan. 6 misdemeanor cases that were worked rigorously at the FBI."

"I imagine that he knew, rather than being removed upon Trump's arrival, that it might be best in his interest to just move on. And I think that probably was a good idea on his part," she said. (Fox News) Read more here

- Abba, we give You high praise for bringing President Trump back into office and allowing these much needed changes in the FBI.  We ask You to provide Mr. Driscoll all he needs to take over as Acting Director; give him Your wisdom and understanding in all decisions he makes.  Father God, we ask You to move on the hearts of all those who will be voting to put Kash Patel into this role permanently.  We ask You to guide and direct all hearts and minds as they make decisions on an up or down vote for him.  Jesus, You put Your son, Donald, into leadership again over our nation, so we ask You will fill his cabinet with Your choices.  We ask for Your perfect will to be done as President Trump's cabinet is put in place.  We ask You to make any changes that You know are needed and give President Trump peace and supernatural trust as he moves through this process with You.  We ask this in the name of Jehovah Jireh, The Lord Will Provide.

- "He provided redemption for his people; he ordained
his covenant forever -- holy and awesome is his name."

State Department blocks pride, BLM flags from embassies, outposts with 'one flag policy'
The U.S. State Department has adopted a new policy under the Trump administration that effectively blocks U.S. embassies and outposts from flying Pride and Black Lives Matter flags, a report said Tuesday.

The Washington Free Beacon first reported that it obtained a copy of the "One Flag Policy" order, which permits only the American flag to be flown at U.S. facilities at home and abroad, with two notable exceptions: the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) emblem and the Wrongful Detainees Flag.

"Starting immediately, only the United States of America flag is authorized to be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestic and abroad, and featured in U.S. government content," the memo states, according to the outlet. "The flag of the United States of America united all Americans under the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy. These values, which are the bedrock of our great country, are shared by all American citizens, past and present." (Fox News) Read more here

- King of Kings, we praise Your holy name! Thank You that Pres. Trump’s Department of State has effectively banned all flags, other than our American Flag, from being flown at any U.S. government property both here and abroad [ with two notable exceptions: the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) emblem and the Wrongful Detainees Flag].  We say, “Be gone, in Jesus name!” to all unauthorized flags such as the Pride and Black Lives Matter that have been permitted by some administrations but are divisive and only represent a segment of our population. Only the U.S. flag truly represents the entire citizenry as we are all united by the symbolism for “the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy” within our 50 States and territories. Father, we pray that our nation would never again fly flags or banners at U.S. government facilities that would not be unifying or that would cast aspersion upon Your holy name.

Lord, we believe that a political flag denotes a specific geographic area with specific boundaries and is a marker or symbol of the nation that owns the land or operates a facility.

- "Moreover You gave them kingdoms and nations, And divided them into districts."  (Nehemiah 10:22a)

Florida shatters all-time snowfall record as winter storm blankets Gulf Coast

A snowstorm of historic proportions walloped the Gulf Coast this week, delivering travel-snarling snow from Texas to the Carolinas and breaking records that have stood for more than a century.

At least nine people have died across the central and eastern United States, including a crash near Batesville, Texas, amid icy conditions that caused five fatalities, according to CNN.

All-time snow records were preliminarily set at most weather stations on the central Gulf Coast, including New Orleans; Mobile, Alabama; and Pensacola, Florida.

A state of emergency was declared in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi with schools across the region closed and businesses shut down due to the snowstorm.

AccuWeather's preliminary estimate for total damage and economic loss from the snow, ice and extreme cold in the South is $14-$17 billion. “This has been the worst winter storm to hit the Gulf Coast in decades," AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Jonathan Porter said. “Businesses have been forced to shut down. Supply chain and shipping logistics have been disrupted severely. With the cold remaining in place, the impacts and interruptions from this winter storm will be felt for days to come.”  Read More

A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
